Fire, Air, Water, Earth. Only the Avatar can master all four elements, and bring balance to the world. That's how it's supposed to be. But what happens when there is no Avatar yet? That time before a Avatar is able to even speak what then? Does all the world's problems just take a break, and wait for someone who can breath fire, and bend water as well? What keeps the world balanced in the Avatar's absence? Destiny is a fickle thing, it comes to you when you least expect it.

It's been seventy years since the fall of the Earth Empire, and defeat of Kuvira. Nearly a year Avatar Korra died, leaving behind a void that has yet to be filled. With the Avatar's passing there has been an uneasiness that has swept across the world. No one is quite sure what it is, it's just something in the back of people's minds don't feel right. It is as if they're anticipating something. Something on an instinctual level. The Spirits that live alongside mankind thanks to Korra seem to be at unease as well.

All this tension is well placed. Something, or someone is coming to upset the balance that the Avatar fought so hard to achieve. But without the Avatar who will be the one to combat this darkness, and keep the world from the brink of destruction? In the Avatar's stead there will have to be agents of balance. Young benders that when cooperating together would be as powerful as any fully realized Avatar.

These benders are destined to become some of the strongest benders of their elements in generations. Alone they are strong, but together, together they can change the world. Fate must bring them together, and adversity will keep them together. They must learn to master the bending arts, and be the defenders of the world. They are our only hope, without them the world could very well become far too broken for even an Avatar to repair. So come forth you agent of fate, and become the force of balance you are meant to be!

Alright folks what's up?! First thing's first before you start on your character you need to put up a message in the OOC, but you need three passwords here in the rules. Password #1: What is your character's color code?
Ok, so I didn't explain it in the intro, but the level of technology in the Avatar World now is similar to the 1980s. There is significantly more models of motor vehicles, commercial airlines, televisions, movers have become more popular, and fashion also reached a similar status to the 80s. While guns are not in use, the electric weapons used in Korra have become much more wide spread, and stream lined for defensive purposes. Such as the creation of tasers.
Keep the drama IC! Alright, let's be civil to one another. We're RPers not YouTube commenters. Password #2: Who is your favorite character from the Avatar series? Can be from either series. And yes, I do enjoy your anguish of choosing one. It keeps me young.
I don't mind romance, or swearing, in fact it's encouraged! But do be mindful of the site's rules. Pervs.
No godmodding, bunnying, etc. Pretty basic stuff.
For character's abilities, do not make them a master at their element, at least not yet. Especially don't have them be a master at a subskill of bending. They can have some minor skill in it, but not mastery. Password #3: Which bending element would you prefer to have?
As for the roles, six is it. I WILL NOT be adding more. Also the FCs I picked aren't set in stone, if you have one you'd rather use let me know!
While on the topic of characters let's try to have them fit within the universe ok. Here's a helpful guide in naming your character if you need it.
Let's try to be active ok? Let's say a post once every week or two. That's not too bad right? If you can't do that for some reason then let me know.
You have two days to get then at least a WIP on your character before I reopen the role.

Well it won't actually be the leader of the nations just diplomats, well except for the United Republic President of course. And great I can't wait to see her complete! Oh, and y'all should be expecting a PM from me soon to discuss character relations, just to get a general idea, and game plan on relationships.

That sounds like a plan to me. I wonder how Mei-Ling's father will respond to seeing her and Akemi-- provided he sees and recognizes them. which I'm not sure why he wouldn't.

I'm working now on writing up Akemi's personality. It'll be interesting to see how all of the characters interact.

Just so we're all on the same page, when we start the RP it's when the group forms together. My idea is that during a peace gathering on Avatar Day in Republic City representatives of the Earth States, the Water Tribe chiefs, and the Fire Lord are on their way to the conference in a big old parade where they are then attacked by the various triads that for some reason banded together to attack these diplomats, and the group will interfere, and save the diplomats.

For the Waterbender, and Nonbender they could be there as representatives of Varrick Global Industries, and accompanying the Water Tribe representatives. For Mei-Ling, and Akemi I'm not sure. I guess they could be watching the parade or something?

And as for Kalden, and Daruka, I was thinking that the night before the parade Kalden would have a vision in his sleep of Tenzin who would tell him that something is about to happen that would send the world in turmoil, and tell him that he would have to gather chosen benders to help set it right. And when Kalden sees them he will know. So he discovers that Daruka is one such bender, and drags him to the parade.

And when the triads attack they would leap into action, and fight off the thugs. Once they are safe they'd be taken to the Police Headquarters for questioning/thanks. And then they'd be attacked by the ones who sent the triads. Them I'm leaving as a surprise. Any thoughts, or suggestions?

I'd like to reserve the nonbender, if that's alright! ATLA was probably my favourite television series when it was airing, so I was super excited when I saw this, ahaha

I don't know what his colour code will be yet, but my favourite character is either Zuko or Sokka or Toph(or basically every character because I love them all). If I had bending powers, I'd hope to be a firebender because then I could do cool lightning stuff

Hello! I would like to reserve the Kyoshi Warrior if I may.

1. I think her Hex colour will be #238E68, but it may change to a red colour. If I do change it, I will let you know.
2. I haven't seen much of Korra and I am terrible at picking favourites... I basically like everyone in the original series except for Katara. But If I had to go with top three, I would say Toph, Azula, and Sokka.
3. If I was a bender I would want to be either a fire or earth bender. Again, I'm very indecisive.
