Hair Color Length and Style: âTry not to drool, Sweetheart, butâŠâ Nanokoâs hair reaches the small of her back, and is raven black in color. Thin and shiny, Nanoko has the hair of what is typical of a water nation girl, but her hair is often worn half up, in the traditional style becoming of fire nation women. During situations prone to combat, however, her hair is pulled back into either a bun or a tight ponytail at the crest of her head, so as to keep it out of her face for the amount of physicality and movement she often experiences.
Eye Color and Shape: âLook me in the eyes and youâll seeâŠâ A pinkish, gray eye color is the result of significant cornea damage as a child. Once upon a time they were a simple hazel, but constant irritations over the years have caused them to retain a permanent pink hue. In shape, they are a thin, almond shape. Overall, they are the windows to her excitement. They do not show all of her expressions, for one reason or another, but excitement is one that truly radiates from her eyes.
Complexion: Its okay to touch me, you knowâŠâ Her skin is the palest shade of pink, with yellow undertones running throughout. It has a milky looking texture to it, often running uninterrupted by any scars. Tattoos, however, adorn her body on almost all surfaces. The entirety of her back sports a large dragon, her left arm a skull and thorns; the tops of both feet have cherry blossoms on them. All of these tattoos are a simple black color, becoming vibrant on her pale skin. She also has two facial piercings (other than her ears, of course), one in the center directly below her bottom lip, the other on the right side of her nose. Both are small, silver studs. Two suicide bars adorn the tops of her ears, once again in plain silver. The earrings on the bottoms of her ears vary by day.
Height and Weight: âHow can you put numerical values on loveliness?â She is five foot, five inches and one hundred and twenty pounds.

Personality: âWant to get to know me? Well, in short IâmâŠâImpulsive is a good way to describe Nanoko. Her thoughts barely waver more than a day ahead, and battle plans are rarely more complex than her very next move. She does things on a whim, and although she is not very emotional, emotion seems to drive the majority of her actions. She is also very flirtatious, to the point of often getting a very bad reputation (not that it isnât well deserved). Preying on anyone or anything she finds even mildly attractive, it is often the very first thing she goes to when meeting a new person, and subtly is not her style. Her thoughts are often thirty percent censor worthy, and the rest just skirting under that line. Deep down, she really does care about people, all people, but she just canât help herself, and nor does she try. Sheâs has a prominent devil-may-care attitude about her, doing whatever she wants simply because she can. She is above and beyond confident, never doubting herself even in the face of failure, but doesnât like to flaunt it in the fear that it will make her seem unattractive, which is avoided at all costs. However, she is fiercely loyal to those whom she decides to attach to, which doesnât take too terribly much. She trusts easily, becomes comfortable almost anywhere she is, and prides herself on not being the stereotype of any one nation. Most times, people canât tell which nation her loyalty truly lies, but thatâs because not one nation has it. Her allegiance is to herself and those she chooses, and nothing more. Anything else would be too much of a burden on her, and thatâs troublesome.
Brief History: âCanât complain, but nothingâs perfectâŠâ Nanoko grew up as a nomad, traveling as young as she can remember to every nation for a few years each. There are no memories of parents or family, only moving constantly. Learning quickly that a life on the streets as a child was not a kind one, she practiced stealth and thievery techniques to make ends meet. She has never held down an actual job or tied herself down anywhere, she simply steals, finds, or (later) seducing out what she needs and then moves on to avoid any repercussions.
Eventually settling for a decent amount of time in the Northern Air Temple, Nanoko learned from the monks the basic anatomy of chi and body movement. From this and her own personal spin, she crafted and trained the art of chi blocking. Following in their teachings, this place began to hold significant meaning to her by tying it in her mind as a place of learning and self building. It was for this reason that she decided to leave. After four years at the temple, she had found herself to become too stagnant and decided to move on. Her new destination: The Fire Nation.
Within the fire nation, Nanoko had taken to chi blocking and stealing her way to make her means and one time she was less than careful. Captured and found to be guilty, she was sentenced to serve as slave labor within the nobility staff, although never close in any way to the members of the family. Upon the conclusion of her sentence, Nanoko continued to serve in the house of the Fire Lord, making her way gradually up through staff until she became a maid servant in the main house, now able to interact with the various members of the family, if only simply to serve them.
This is how she first met Satsuki. Serving under her in subtle and distant ways, she has grown rather fond of Satsuki and has continuously concocted reasons and situations in which to converse. Despite this, the time in which she has been in the Fire Nation is approaching three years now, which will soon begin to make Nanoko uncomfortable in its stagnation. As of now, she is making plans to move to the Earth Kingdom but rough political waters are becoming more of a deterrent than they should, and her plans are being delayed.

Other: Well, you should know what I carry. Be warnedâŠâ Because of her fighting strategy and her lack of bending abilities, Nanoko carries with her an array of small shiruken and smoke bombs in which to aide her, despite her main attacks being hand-to-hand chi blocking.
Habits: âIts not that I cant help myself, I just donât.â She has a rather bad habit of coming on very strongly to people she meets and finds attractive, often either leading to a premature âintimate situationâ or making the other person quite uncomfortable. Because of her lazy nature, she finds most things âtroublesomeâ and complains a lot, making sure to do the littlest effort possible.
Strengths: âDonât get too jealous nowâŠâFlexibility and agility are her greatest strengths, using them to overwhelm her opponent. Her speed is great, but her maneuverability is almost unmatched, being able to turn on a dime and contort into whatever shape is most advantageous. Blocking the opponents chi keeps them from bending and sometimes moving, because most benders have only trained to fight with bending, once it is taken away the advantage goes to her. She is also very dexterous with throwing objects, having above average aim. Her methods of seduction and negotiation are also strengths, for if she can avoid a fight, she almost always does. Light on her feet and somewhat small, Nanoko is also very stealthy. Easing in and out of places undetected, but times when she doesnât attention are few and far between.
Weaknesses: âYou wouldnât hold them against me, would you?â Because she is a hand-to-hand chi blocking fighter, it leaves her open to any number of attacks. Although she can dodge, there is ultimately no way to block any attack, either with a weapon or bending. Large-scale attacks that are difficult or impossible to dodge, such as a large wave or a full frontal swing on a sword, are what cause her downfall. She takes damage easily, and usually two good shots are enough to take her down. Three would kill her. After the first shot, she typically flees, knowing that her ability to get away from the scene decreases exponentially with each hit. Her pain tolerance is also frightfully low.
