Name: Xi Tan

Nation: Earth Kingdom

Appearance: Xi Tan is 19 years aold, stands at about 5'9" and weighs 180 lbs. He is very mucular and very tanned. He has no left arm from the shoulder down, due to a training accident (see history). He has dark brown eyes, and thick, light briown hair that goes down to his waist, which he normally ties into a long braid down his back. Xi Tan wears a simple green and yellow tunic, in the style of the Earth Kindom, borwn pants, and no footwear. He alos adorns himself with a green headband with the Earth Kingdom emblem on the front

Bending Style: After losing his arm, Xi Tan lost most control of his bending. Due to this, he developed a style of earth bending using just his feet, using a series of kicks and flips to acheive the same end.

History: Xi Tan grew up wanting one thing and one thing only: to be a great earthbender, to be one of the finest Earth Kingdom soldiers there ever were. Everyday he would train, trying to perfect his skills before he applied. But it wasn't too be, becuase before he could complete his test, a band of fighters from the Republic ambushed him outside the training field. They pinned him down and tortured him, believing he was a soldier. One of them crushed his left arm under a rock. Once they had gotten what they wanted, they left Xi Tan for dead. He limped his way to the hospital, where his arm was examained. That's when he got the news: the nerves in his arm were crushed beyond repair. He could never use his arm again. It was amputated the next day. Despite this, Xi Tan didn't find it to be something to stop him. He trained some more, developing his new bending style to keep on fighting. He now had a new goal: to help stop the Republic.

Reason for why you joined the resistance: to stop the Republic, to prevent them from doing to others what they did to him.
