{The Story}
The Legend of Kasumi.

Before Avatar Aang and his successor Korra, there were many more. Recorded history, however, has a trail that fades away whilst tracing back in time. Going backwards, before Avatars Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, Yangchen and the unnamed Magma Bender, the Avatar Spirit was within an Waterbending host. This is hundreds of years before Aang triggered the Avatar State that would freeze him in a glacier for Sokka and Katara to find. Hundreds of years before Korra was even conceived.

I take you back before recorded history in the world of Avatar faded away to the memories of the dead lurking the Spirit World. Dragons have not been hunted to near extinction, and the Air Nomads did not yet fall victim to the wrathful genocide the Fire Nation would inflict hundreds of years later. The world is at peace, or perhaps I have spoken too soon? The previous Avatar has passed away, and the new host has been chosen. Kasumi(the current Avatar) is the new host. At the time of her birth, to twentieth year later to when our RP will take place, the world has been threatened. An unknown villain has lead a force assumed to be chi blockers to destroy benders. They have gone to villages and towns to "purify" the gene pools. They, however, leave the leaders alive and, instead, removing their ability to bend. If you've nostalgia to the Legend of Korra, think again. It is said that a powerful chi blocker has mastered an ancient, forgotten art and is out to not destroy only the Avatar Spirit, but the notabilities and councils of the four nations so that the ancient art could again be dominant. And they are training more to fuel this unjust cause.

“It is sad to see people have become so jaded and cynical. We are all comrades now, and if we do not have trust, we do not have anything. I know everyone here has a story…and I feel as though you should not judge from past decisions but from current actions."

Xue nodded, her eyes flickering from Eris' face, to Keirin, and finally resting on the water that was becoming more turbulent as the night wore on. She mirrored Eris' movement to grab the railing when the boat rocked with a more persistent wave. Though Xue didn't have much experience with boats, apart from the few times that she had used smuggling vessels to sneak into island villages as night with her purging party, she wasn't one to get seasick and was doing better than others.

Eris spoke again, and Xue turned her attention back to the fire bender's somewhat forced smile, "...but if you wish, on matters that involve you, I will keep my opinion to myself"

Xue chuckled and responded with a small smile, "Well, I can't keep you from expressing your opinions. But I just... ah, I don't know, I guess I just don't want any sympathy and that's what it feels like." She shrugged and sent a glance up towards Keirin again. Despite his words, Xue did appreciate his honesty and she understood what he was saying. She felt a twinge in her heart like she should call him down but decided against it.

A shout turned her attention back to the deck and she saw a fuming Avatar Kasumi standing with her fists clenched at her sides. She yelled at Eris before turning her fury towards Asad. Xue grabbed the railing once more as the waves rocked the boat violently in response to Kasumi's outburst.

Xue kept herself quiet during the ordeal though she wanted to defend herself against the accusations. She knew if she stepped out of hand the tables could be turned quite rapidly due to her past as a chi blocker. There was no use in directing more distrust and suspicion towards herself over a misunderstanding.

Asad quickly took control of the situation and attempted to explain what was going on to the angry Avatar. His explanation was calm and well put, though Xue was confused about which female he was apologizing for who was so 'weak to the liquor'. Kasumi had yelled at Eris who hadn't had anything to drink, and Xue herself had only had a sip and the side effects were very minor. Asad somewhat cleared it up when he said that he would 'look after the chi blocker' and Xue's cheeks reddened with the realization. "I didn't do anything," she complained under her breath, but didn't openly protest to what Asad was saying, hoping only for a quick resolution.

Xue turned her eyes to Eris who had looked furious in response to being yelled at, but was slowly calming down as she returned to the railing of the ship. The silence was awkward between them and Xue considered walking back to Jin and Asad. Instead, she decided that if Eris wanted to be alone, she would tell her. Xue sighed and rested her chin against her arms on the railing. She opened her mouth to speak when Jin rose and began to talk. She turned around, leaning her back against the rail and put on her best poker face while she listened.

Half of his words she couldn't hear over the water, but she could catch his meaning and, despite her best attempts to keep it down, she couldn't help but smile a bit when he mentioned trusting her. Xue listened to the rest of the speech silently, and then watched with mild curiosity as Jin embedded daggers blade-up in the planks of the ship and then began tight roping above them. It wasn't until just before he began his descent that it clicked in Xue's mind what Jin's intentions were. She tensed, knowing that she was too far away to do anything to help, and watched silently to see what would happen.

Keirin sat on the mast as he listened to the crashing waves. It was calming and he realized that he should hop down sometime soon. As soon as he thought that, he heard some sort of yell. He opened his eyes and saw Kasumi yelling at the others, it seemed like it was directed at Asad and Eris. From the looks of it, he had missed Eris burning part of the deck.

As he saw them being yelled at, he felt responsible for this. If he had not opened his mouth, none of the events that just happened would have occurred. He had decided that he was going to jump down, when he suddenly saw Avatar Kasumi walk over to the railing in a huff. He decided that was his chance to talk, but before he jumped down, he saw Asad and Eris both walking over. Asad beat Eris and a good thing because it looked like a fight would've broken out if Eris had made it first. It seemed like Asad had calmed Avatar Kasumi down quite a bit. He watched as Asad had walked back and it seemed like Jin had started to make a large speech.

He watched Jin, trying to make out what he was saying. Then when he could tell he was talking to him, he listened even more intently. It seemed like Jin was telling him he could come down when he was ready. He felt anger growing inside him but he subsided it because he thought Jin was trying to make an effort to be nice to him. Then he watched as Jin put some daggers face-up in the deck. What is he planning? Then he saw him walk in front of them and act like he was going to fall onto them. WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING?!?!

Keirin jumped down onto the deck, ready to use his bending to catch him. He saw Avatar Kasumi standing in front of him, but he had no idea if she might freeze up and not catch him, so he was there for support just in case. He got ready to use his bending to increase his speed to catch Jin.

She was fuming but then came to realize that she wasn't really mad at neither one of them but at the fact the Chi Blockers are a rising force that deems themselves as unstoppable. Her eyes cut towards Asad as he came over to speak towards her. A sly smirk played across her lips as she could have a little fun with this but it was a little too late. She unpressed to talk but Asad had walked away and she raised a brow. Why don't he stay for her respond? She shrugged her shoulders then continued to stare out into the distance. Kasumi turned heel so that she can watch Jin as he spoke.

His words were so moving that she wanted to cry but held in her tears. She then raised a brow when he asked her did she trust him. She trusted all of her mentors - Even the Chi Blocker she trusted. She was lowered her head when Jin asked her that then looked back up at him. "Well, ye..." She watched as he lined up six knifes. Her hands went up to her temples as she thinks that the boat is going to sink. Her eyes widened when she saw Jin walking along the railing then fall backwards. Kasumi gasped as she opened her canteen then bended enough water out to make a bubble as she focused on her inner Chi.

Kasumi pushed the bubbled just in time to catch Jin. She lowered the bubble then dropped it as it drenched Jin. "Does that answer your question?" She asked him with her arms folded and another raised brow. Her eyes went over towards Keirin. "No need to use your Airbending. You were too late anyway." She spoke towards him then walked over towards Jin, extending her hand to help him up.

Kalen ran onto the deck as she looked at him. "Avatar Kasumi. We are nearing towards the Earth Kingdom so be ready." Kasumi nodded towards him then waved for him to come over. "Show Jin his room so that he can put on some dry clothing please." Kalen nodded and did what he was told as she walked over towards her other mentors. "I just received word that we are nearing the Earth Kingdom. If you guys need to freshen up, let me know and I can get Kalen to show you guys where you can do that at." She nodded once then turned heel, walking while basically hugging herself as she sighed.

Her blue eyes looked up as she seen the gates that lead into the Earth Kingdom up ahead.

Eris Kiyoko

Eris turned to watch Jin in his rant. She could only hear parts of what he said until he came up to her.

“You," he said pointing out Eris. "You want to know why I trust you?" he asked as he leaned very close and looked into her eyes.
Eris felt her face burn because of his proximity and she averted her eyes.

"I trust you because of what I see when I look into your eyes. When I really look," he said leaning even closer until the two of them were almost nose to nose. "I see... a reflection of myself. And what do you see in mine?" He asked. Eris almost gave him a snarky comment but he put his finger to her lips to stop her. She rolled her eyes.

"Shhh... let me finish. You see yourself," he announced. She watched him move back around the boat. He started planting knives in the ground and she knew instantly where it was going. She readied herself to melt the knives but knew it wouldn’t matter, she would probably be too late.

Luckily Avatar Kasumi saved him. She let out a small sigh of relief before turning to look back at the sea.

"I just received word that we are nearing the Earth Kingdom. If you guys need to freshen up, let me know and I can get Kalen to show you guys where you can do that at." Avatar Kasumi said.

Eris sighed in relief.

“Land! Finally!” she said with a happy smile. Freshening up sounded like a marvelous idea, though she wasn’t feeling very social so she decided to find her room herself. She wandered the ship for a moment before she found her bags in a random room. She entered, shut the door and started changing from her standard fire nation outfit into her fire nation armor. She pulled her hair up into a high pony and stepped out of her room, ready to start their treck into the Earth nation. She waited on the deck for the others to arrive.

"Home sweet home. How long has it been..?"

Jin certainly was one to go the whole nine yards to make a point. Asad liked that about him. This situation made it feel as if Jin was someone to actually trust. He at the very least seemed friendly enough to share a drink with, which in itself felt just as important to Asad.

For the others, arriving in the Earth Kingdom had to be exciting. To explore or return to such a strong and culture-rich kingdom certainly was something to look forward to. But in this land, Asad Boder was a nationally-recognized criminal. Wanted for the murder of a man he was to protect. For anyone who knew, it was understandable that he would not be so excited to return home. "I do believe that I will need to... freshen up." The tall, tanned man would seek out his room as well. To his surprise, what little he had in the way of belongings were already in there and neatly placed on the well-made bed. It was looking at this that he tried, unsuccessfuly, to remember the last time he had slept in a real bed. Shaking his head, he got to work.

His mid-chest to mid-stomach became covered in white bandages to hide away his scarring from plain site. Reaching up to his left arm he would carefully remove his blue pauldron and place it on the bed. It would be there when they were done in the Earth Kingdom, but his arm felt uncomfortably light without it. Next he would bring his fingers to the tie that kept his hair up in a plume. Hesitantly, as if making a life-changing decision, he eventually untied it and let his brown hair fall straight. It was long enough to nearly touch his waistline. "It... certainly has been a long time since I have tended to my hair. Will I ever again have the luxury?" He questions himself before finding the straw jingasa hat that he would put upon his head. The wide hat would help to hide some of his facial features, the large collar on his shawl would to the rest. With this simple disguise, he would easily be able to toss aside his identity as the Drunken Golem and appear as nothing more than a ragged traveler. He would take a moment to stare at the pauldron he had discarded before forcing himself to turn around and leave the room with a sip of his gourd.

He eventually returned to the deck in his new attire and gave a look on the deck. He did not say anything to anyone, not having anything to say for a moment until he turned to Kasumi. "Avatar. I am ready. When everyone else is ready, I do hope you will honor our agreement." He hung around long enough for a short response before he would turn and head to the bow of the ship that was pointed directly at the land the Earthbender had once called home. The place that had once welcomed and revered him. And he would be lying if he were to say that he was not feeling a sense of anxiety.

Xue released a sigh of relief when Avatar Kasumi caught Jin through water bending. She didn’t think that Jin would have fallen to his death if Kasumi hadn’t caught him, what with the other benders at the ready, but she still had to wait a few moments for her heartbeat to settle a bit. Xue swallowed a bit of anger down at Jin for his reckless move nonetheless and turned her head back towards the water and to her surprise, Xue could see land in the very distance. She turned back to the group, opening her mouth to tell them, when she saw that a crewman was speaking to Kasumi and when he finished, she announced what Xue had already discovered for herself.

"I just received word that we are nearing the Earth Kingdom. If you guys need to freshen up, let me know and I can get Kalen to show you guys where you can do that at."

Xue paled, she knew that they had been heading towards the Earth Kingdom, but the sudden realness of it all was finally catching up.

She was going back.

She turned and followed a crewman to her assigned quarters to do as Kasumi said and 'freshen up', her heart hammering in her chest. The Earth Kingdom was where she did the majority of her 'purges' with the chi-blockers. If she was going to be recognized anywhere, it would be there. She considered her clothing options carefully. She had bought clothing for each of the respective nations with her, but she decided that it would only serve to make her stand out more if she wore garb from any other nation, Xue would blend in more in Earth Kingdom clothes. With her mind made, she replaced her tight bun for a loose up-do held up by a black comb, and simple traveling clothes.

When she was done fussing over her appearance, Xue took a few calming breaths and left the cabin to join up with the others. Asad and Eris had returned in different clothing as well. Eris looked like she was heading for war in her Fire Nation armor, and Xue wondered why she hadn't dressed herself in something more... practical. Looking at Asad, Xue could sense a discomfort about him, and she couldn't help but notice that he appeared to be trying to disguise himself as well. She felt an odd security in the fact that she wasn't the only one anxious about their destination and found herself silently gravitating toward him. As she stood by the earth bender, she wondered what the implications would be if someone were to recognize her.

Kasumi didn't really need to get freshened up because the people of the Earth Nation seen her even in her worst days. Her eyes rolled over towards Eris as she had freshened up and made it to the deck. She huffed then gasped when Asad came up to her, making sure she still agreed to their deal. Kasumi nodded her head then whispered to him. "As long as you don't do anything stupid." Kalen lowered the stairs and brought out Kowai for Kasumi. She mounted him then looked down at her mentors. "Do anything to make me look stupid and I will leave you guys here. Got it?" She turned her head ahead of her while whipping the reigns and Kowai began his trek towards the Earth Nation's gates.

As soon as she edged near the gates, the gatekeeper saw her and instantly recognized her. "Avatar Kasumi. It's a pleasure to see you again." Her bowed with respect then glanced at her mentors. "Friends of yours?" The gatekeeper asked her as she nodded her head. "Yes, they are. May we go in or are you just going to keep us waiting?" She asked politely as he apologized and opened up the gates, extending his arm forward. "Welcome to the Earth Kingdom." As she proceeded inside with her mentors, her head nodded towards Asad, giving him the okay to go and do whatever he needed to do.

She lifted herself off of Kowai and slid down off of him. The Earth Nation was a little bit different now after seven years. She walked till she found some kids practicing Earthbending. She was impressed with their technique as she bit her bottom lip, a little worried about Asad. She had to stop but that would ruin her loyalty, her promise. She was in a predicament she couldn't get out of and it was destroying her on the inside.

Eris Kiyoko

Eris watched the earth bender children with interest. Two out of three where good for their age, but the third was struggling to do a basic move, an Earth Block. She watched the girl try over and over but with no success.

Eris broke from the group and approached her with a kind smile. She bent down and tapped the girls nose with a grin.

“What is your name?” Eris asked

“Shu Wei” The girl said quietly as she looked at the ground.

“Here, Shu Wei, widen your stance, straighten your shoulders and tighten your abdomen. Earth is the element of substance. Earthbending expresses the aspect of neutral jing, which involves listening and waiting.” Eris paused as she helped the girl adjust her stance.

“Earthbending also requires decisiveness; when the time comes to strike, it must be done without hesitation or uncertainty. If an earthbender lacks determination, the earth will not respond to your will.” She said as she moved out of the way so the girl could try again. Shu Wei took a deep breath and tried again. A large column of earth rose from the ground.

Eris smiled and clapped. The girl danced around happily.

“Good! Keep it up, you will be a master earth bender in no time” Eris said. Suddenly the girl hugged her leg. Eris hesitated for a moment, shocked, before she patted the kids head.

“Thank you!” The Shu Wei said quietly. When she pulled back Shu examined Eris.

“How does a Fire Bender know so much about Earth bending” She asked with a curious smile. Eris hesitated and bent down with a smile, unsure how to answer.

“Well…believe it or not I was raised in a Earth Bending town…” She said quietly. She patted the child’s head gently and stood. She gave a little wave and moved back to the group.

"So far, so good. Hopefully the Avatar's business will be swift."

On the boat, Asad had turned his head to notice that one of the group had begun hovering around him. As she would find herself closer to him, he would turn his head to give her a quick look-over. It was Xue, the Chi Blocker that was in the party. Chi Blockers were a threat to the modern world, but this woman was to join them in the party. And ironically, she was the one he felt he could trust more than any other. He was a wanted criminal, and she certainly would be if she was discovered to be a Chi Blocker. They were both innocent criminals. They shared a potential threat to their existence. Of course, she would not know that they shared such a danger, but Asad did. He turned his gaze away from her as he noticed that in Earth Kingdom clothing she seemed a bit more... visually appealing to him than she did in the Fire Nation attire. Clearing his throat and averting his eyes from her at all costs, he would speak. "Keep your eyes and ears open, Chi Blocker." He had never actually stopped to catch her name. "The Earth Kingdom is full of tough customers. Some that may even pose a threat to me... If you find yourself in a tough spot, seek me out." His eyes would remain forward and his mouth remain closed from that point as he followed the Avatar off the deck and onto land.

Once he had the okay to go and do his own thing, he gave a solemn nod to the Avatar. "I will be around the main town. I am going to ask around, for my quest. If you need me, feel free to interrupt me. My main obligation is your safety and training." With that, he gave a nod to the remaining members of the party and split off on his own. If anyone was following him from the group, he would certainly be aware but not bothered by it. He felt a bit bad that he had forced the Avatar into his own conflict. But at this point, traveling with the Avatar presented too many benefits to be ignored. He would honor his half of the agreement so long as she did.

He made his way into the nearest tavern and refilled his gourd, purchasing a much weaker drink as he would sit around. He would notice no one familiar in the dimly-lit drinkery. This was good in the sense that he may not be recognized, but also bad in that none of these men were the one he was pursuing. He would make his way around, asking people if they had seen a man that matched his description. However, no one seemed to have ever encountered anyone that looked like him. Asad would only groan and down more of the light drink. He had a feeling that this man, whomever he was, was still in the Earth Kingdom. There was no sign of him in the other parts of the world that he explored. And it would only be a matter of time until he found the man and brought him to justice. But the Earth Kingdom was massive and possibly the highest in terms of concentrated populations. Finding him so soon would have been too easy...

Xue felt Asad's eyes on her and looked up towards him, studying his face to try and figure out why he was so uncomfortable about being in the Earth kingdom, his home nation. His voice suddenly broke through her thoughts, "Keep your eyes and ears open, Chi Blocker. The Earth Kingdom is full of tough customers. Some that may even pose a threat to me... If you find yourself in a tough spot, seek me out."

Xue felt a twinge of annoyance at Asad using 'Chi Blocker' in place of her actual name, but it faded when she heard the rest of what he had to say. It seemed he did understand the predicament that she was in, at least a little, and Xue felt a bit of her anxiety ease away at the thought of this new ally she now had. "Thank you Earth Bender," Xue alluded with a small, shaky smile. "If you find yourself in a tight spot, you can seek me out as well." She turned her head to see that the group was moving off of the ship. "Also, my name's Xue, not Chi Blocker. If you call me Chi Blocker in the Earth Kingdom I think we may come across some trouble."

As the group entered the Earth Kingdom, she noticed Asad speak a few words to Kasumi before breaking off from the group and heading away. Despite her duty to the Avatar, their short conversation before leaving the boat left Xue feeling somewhat responsible for the Earth Bender. She saw Eris engage with a young girl about her technique and used the distraction to slip away without being seen. She was relieved to find how easily she was able to blend in with the crowd of people in the streets, though she still made sure to keep to the shadows of the buildings.

Xue couldn't help but roll her eyes when she saw Asad's form separate from the crowd and enter the nearest tavern. She quickly followed and sat beside him, making no attempt to hide the fact that she had followed him. She ordered simply a small cup of water and looked at Asad as she sipped. " I highly doubt the Avatar would have let you go if all you were going to do was refill your gourd, so are you going to tell me what you're up to or am I just going to have to wait and see?"

He felt relieved when he saw that Avatar Kasumi had caught Jin. He was ready to help, but he wasn't so sure that he would've been able to catch him. "No need to use your Airbending. You were too late anyway." He heard Avatar Kasumi say to him as he looked at the ground and realized that she was right. She's correct. I wouldn't have been able to catch Jin... Let alone get to him before he hit the floor. He sighed. He was thinking too rashly and decided that he might need a moment to himself to cool off a little before they reached the Earth Kingdom. As soon as he thought about it, Avatar Kasumi told them that they were approaching the Earth Kingdom. He sat down on the deck again. He closed his eyes and waited for them to reach the Earth Kingdom because he was already ready for their journey. He didn't need much, and he had a backpack on full of what he needed.

As they reached the Earth Kingdom, he stayed within the group, keeping his usual composure. When he saw small earth bending children, he stopped short and lost his state of mind. He didn't act all composed anymore. He smiled as he stared at Eris helping one of the earth bending children. He moved to the back of the group so he wouldn't be seen like this. Children were one of his only weaknesses. He couldn't help but smile at their innocence, it was just something that made him smile. Every time he would see a child, it was like he became an entirely new person. He really hated himself for doing that. He would become weak around children, where most people wold try to be a stronger person around children to show them how adult-like they were. Keirin knew he was different, but most of the time he was too ashamed by the thought of not being able to act with tact and pride around the tiny future generation. He watched Eris for a moment before he noticed the Avatar biting her bottom lip. What's she doing that for? He focused on her facial expression and he realized that her facial expression expressed an extreme amount of... guilt? No... That wasn't it... anxiety maybe? Worry? All he knew was the Avatar had an amount of emotional distress. Maybe I should talk to her... He walked over to her as he tried his hardest to conceal his smile, although he knew it wasn't working very well. He cleared his throat to get Avatar Kasumi's attention. Then he whispered to her. "Avatar Kasumi... Is... something worrying you? I realize that this might be a bad time, but I'm willing to talk if you are." He looked at the children and Eris as he awaited Avatar Kasumi's answer.

"The Chi Blocker -- Xue, has sought me out. Perhaps... She could help."

Asad had lifted a mug to his lips, tipping it upright to down the drink rather quickly. Its alcohol content was far too low for it to really do much to him with the tolerance he had built up over the years. By the time he had downed it and placed the mug down, the Chi Blocker called Xue had sat beside him and asked him a question. He had listened to her without looking her in the eyes. She wanted to know what he was up to, and she was perceptive enough to notice that it may not have been some simple task. "Xue," the dark voice began before sighing. "The world has done me wrong. I am seeking to right that wrong... I cannot give you the story here. Far too many people around that may want to..." He lowers his voice, leaning in closer to her. "Well, there is a bit of a bounty on my head. I'd rather not cause more of a commotion than necessary." He was traveling with her and she had come to him about it... So telling her could prove beneficial. Especially with whom it was he was tracking.

"Xue, come for a walk with me. I will tell you my story. I feel that if you are willing, you may actually be able to help me bring a guilty man to justice, and help an innocent man clear his name." He reached into his pocket and placed a few coins on the table, nodding to the barkeeper before leaving. The man took the coin and began cleaning the cup as Asad stood up, motioning with his hand for Xue to follow him. He would leave the tavern and begin maneuvering around some back alleys until he found a spot he felt was isolated enough to discuss things. He would lean against a wall and kick one leg over the other as he let out a soft sigh.

"I will keep this brief... Once long ago, I was a respected warrior in the Earth Kingdom. My skill with the blade had few rivals and my bending was the same. I was brought to a large city, to protect a higher-up. A nobleman. But this city was attacked. At the time, we thought them to be strange bandits. However... They were Chi Blockers. I had to fend off three of them. I managed to subdue two of them, but the third disarmed me and made me lose my ability to bend. You Chi Blockers... Your techniques are strange and cruel. And to add insult to injury, they cut down the nobleman with my own blade. And I was framed for the attack, the one who blocked my bending making a clean escape. I am a wanted man. I am an innocent man. And I am tracking the Chi Blocker who took away my honor and my life. But I will be honest, he bested me before. He may be able to do it again. Having a Chi Blocker to aid me may be helpful. Provided you are willing."

He pinched the bridge of his nose and remained silent for a moment. "You do not have to help me. But I would appreciate it if you would. And of course, if you decide to turn me in I will not go quietly. Helping the Avatar is important to me, yes. But my honor, my innocence, is just as important. I've had to kill many people to protect that goal, many whom I once called an ally. I do not want to threaten you, but.. Well I guess you get the idea." The entire while he spoke, he tried to keep his eyes off of her. He couldn't tell if it was the drink or any sort of real attraction, but the way she looked in Earth Kingdom clothing still captivated his eyes. He would blame it on the drink.

Kasumi eyes went towards Eris as she helped a little Earth bender. Her eyes eventually rolled to the side with scoffed. She may have hated Fire benders but really needed to give Eris a chance. Her lip quirked up at the thought as she neared towards Eris, only to be interrupted by the Airbender, Keirin. "Something is worrying me but it's nothing major." She sat down then sat stared up at him, patting the spot next to her for him to sit.

"Being Avatar isn't the easiest thing in the world, you know." She said towards him. "I thought that this was going to be a breeze but it turns out that it is much worse that I expected." A soft sigh escaped through her parted lips as she looked at Keirin. "Where is the Chi Blocker?" She asked then shrugged her shoulders while staring at the kids earth bending. "Never mind, don't really care for her. She cannot be trusted, if you ask me." Another shrug of her shoulders as she stood up now.

"I'm hungry. Want to come with me to get something to eat?" She asked towards him then yelled to see if Eris wanted to join them. Whether if they join her or not, she would begin her trek towards one of the local merchants for some food.

Xue sipped at her water and waited patiently for Asad to respond, her grey-blue eyes slowly making a mental inventory of every person in the room from the bar tender to the small man passed out in the far corner of the tavern. "Xue, the world has done me wrong. I am seeking to right that wrong... I cannot give you the story here. Far too many people around that may want to... Well, there is a bit of a bounty on my head. I'd rather not cause more of a commotion than necessary." His voice was low and quiet, a tone Xue knew well from planning sessions back when she traveled with the Chi Blockers. She didn't turn her head or acknowledge that Asad was speaking to her but for a short nod that she gave when he finished. "Xue, come for a walk with me. I will tell you my story. I feel that if you are willing, you may actually be able to help me bring a guilty man to justice, and help an innocent man clear his name."

A twitch of a smile came to Xue's lips and she nodded, "It would be my pleasure." She stated simply and then punctuated it with a quiet chuckle, "and I'm glad you've finally remembered my name." She rose from her seat and left the half finished glass of water on the counter with a few coins for a tip and exited the tavern close behind Asad.

To be honest, Xue was glad for the distraction that was Asad's quest. She wasn't in her element training the Avatar but this -these hushed words, secret plans, and dark alleys- this was familiar to her and though such a thought should have made Xue uncomfortable, it had an opposite effect. This was her element and it made her all the more confident that she could help Asad under these circumstances.

The pair stopped in an isolated dead end and Asad leaned against a wall while Xue contented herself with just standing with her arms crossed over her chest. He explained that he had been framed by a Chi Blocker for the murder of a nobleman in his care during an ambush and planned on finding the man and clearing his name. Well I guess you get the idea."

Xue raised her eyebrow at the threat, but an amused smile came to her lips all the same. "Don't worry, if I tried to turn you in it'd be as good as turning myself in as well or have you forgotten that the Earth Kingdom was my old haunt?" She took in a deep breath and let it out through her nose, "no, I'd like to help you out. Maybe it won't take me off the wanted lists but I can only hope that it'll give the others a bit of faith in me." She thought back to the way Keirin and even Avatar Kasumi would look upon her with suspicion and her mind was made up.

Xue looked hard at Asad, trying to tell what he felt about having her tagging along. While he had opened up to her and told her his story, his last statement made it clear that she didn't have his full trust. Not to mention the way he refused to look at her something she had noticed since they had gotten off of the ship. She decided not to ask him about it quite yet.

"We should probably get on our way, hm? Do you have any idea where to start? The Earth Kingdom is a big place and Chi Blockers rarely stay in one area for long."

"Well, isn't that a pleasant fresh wind. I have some assistance, rather than a new enemy."

When she agreed to help, Asad let his lips curl into a smirk of sorts. To have someone to view as an ally was new to him, something pleasant. It was a feeling he had not known in years. Being a lone wanderer can do that to a man, though. Make him lose sight of feelings as good as this one. "I appreciate the assistance, Xue. To be honest, I cannot fight Chi Blockers. It was never in my training and I have no experience beyond that one event... Having a Chi Blocker to assist me can only be for the best." He made the mistake of looking up at her as he gave kind words and lost his train of thought. He could only pry his eyes away by quickly grabbing from his gourd and letting the burning alcohol sear his throat for a moment.

Letting his gourd return to the tie on his waist, he averted his eyes once more and began leaving the alley, tipping his large hat down to obscure his face a bit more. "As for where to start, I have been asking for information about this man. Using what I remember of his description, I ask around. It's simple, maybe a bit of a longshot. But I am not a tracker. Even if I was, I don't know how I would be able to after all these years... I've been following leads all across the world. That is why I was in Water territory." He shivers visibly as he thinks about the water. All of that water... "Anyway... I believe he is in the Earth Kingdom again. With any luck, he will be nearby. Of course, luck has never been my friend..."

Once he stops speaking, he hears a voice on the other side of a wall as they were about to fully leave the alley. "..cker? No, what happened with that?"
"They say he was spotted just a few towns over. He's been causing some serious trouble over the last few years. Apparently he and his group went in and messed up that town's leader real bad. Might even be dead."
"Bull. He had to have had his guards. One man couldn't do that."
"That's what you think. But remember what I said. He's a Chi Blocker. You know how crazy those guys are. I wouldn't put it past 'em. Hope he doesn't come here. I heard the Avatar's in town."
"Teh. Whatever. I don't believe it."

Asad turns around and smirks at his new companion. "Forget what I said about luck not being on my side. I have a lead." He then stomps on the ground, a rectangular tablet coming up from the earth. He would stomp again, this time his right arm would be bent upwards at a ninety degree angle. As he did so, a message would be inscribed into the tablet. Picking it up, he would blow off the excess dirt and rubble before finally exiting the alley. He spent a few minutes seeking out the Avatar, only to watch her approach a food merchant. Keeping his hat tipped down, he placed the tablet on the ground and kicked it, Bending to ensure that it would reach her and tap against her heel. "Come on, Xue. We have a lead to follow..." And with that, he left in the opposite direction.

When Kasumi would look to the tablet, it would read as follows:

"I have found a lead. I have taken X with me for assistance. We will come find you once we are finished. Stay alive. -A"

ERIS

Eris sighed as everyone broke off into pairs again, inadvertently leaving her on her own. She was almost as hated as she the chi-blocker, Xue. She ground her teeth and followed Avatar Kasumi and Keirin as protecting the Avatar was her mission. She listened in to the conversation, not trying to snoop, but not really having a choice.

"Being Avatar isn't the easiest thing in the world, you know. I thought that this was going to be a breeze but it turns out that it is much worse than I expected." Kasumi said. Eris frowned. She understood it was hard but … EVERYONE had a hard life. She felt a sliver of irritation.

"Where is the Chi Blocker? Never mind, don't really care for her. She cannot be trusted, if you ask me." Kasumi said with a shrug of her shoulders as she stood up now. The sliver of irritation bloomed into a full bloomed flower. Moments ago she preached togetherness with the drunkard and now she was talking behind the woman's back. This girl was...just that...a child. She was not inspiring confidence in Eris and it was evident she had a lot to learn.

"I'm hungry. Want to come with me to get something to eat?" Kaumi yelled turning her attention to Eris. Eris stared at the girl for a moment considering tell her exactly how she felt. She decided against it yet again as she was aware that she was one of the lesser liked people in the group and she did not need any more friction. She kept her mouth clamped tightly shut, frustration vibrating from her as she shook her head in response.

Eris jumped, ready for a fight, as disk of earth slid past her and tapped against Avatar Kasumi’s foot. Eris waited patiently for the girl to notice.

"Something is worrying me but it's nothing major. Being Avatar isn't the easiest thing in the world, you know. I thought that this was going to be a breeze but it turns out that it is much worse that I expected." Keirin laughed at this unexpected comment from the Avatar. She seemed to be quite honest with herself, from what he could tell anyway. He sat down next to Avatar Kasumi, where she had indicated he could sit. He looked in Avatar Kasumi's direction. "Actually... I really have no idea how hard being the Avatar is, though I have an idea. If I were in your shoes, I'd just try my best to do my job. That's really all the comfort I can give you." Never mind, don't really care for her. She cannot be trusted, if you ask me. He raised an eyebrow. A minute ago she was just talking about teamwork and how we need to trust one another. He chuckled a little bit at what he said. He looked over at Eris and saw that her eyes were blaring with rage. Fire benders were too emotionally attached to things they knew about. They fought too often, which Keirin didn't like. He thought fighting was mostly pointless, but if you started a fight with him, he wouldn't stop you. He was just that kind of guy, if you pick a fight with him, you learn that that isn't a wise decision.

"I'm hungry. Want to come with me to get something to eat?" He listened to this question and it seemed like it wasn't only directed towards him. He looked over at Eris and saw that she was ready for a fight. He paid he no attention any longer because she was being over-emotional. He stood up and started to follow Avatar Kasumi. "I'd be honored to accompany you." She also needs a body guard... It's like she is trying to get herself killed... He saw a patch of earth fly at Kasumi's leg and saw that it came from Eris' direction. He gave her a cold stare as to say, "How dare you hit the Avatar!" He waited for Avatar Kasumi's response. If Eris was seeking a fight, there was no need to. It was pointless because she was just angry. The stupidest and most foolish emotion.

ERIS

"How dare you hit the Avatar!"

Eris glanced over at Keirin, confusion crossing her face. Did Keirin think that she had bent the earth at the avatar? She blinked and then started laughing. He did know that she was an fire bender, and not an earth bender, right? It dawned on her that it looked bad that she was laughing but she couldnt help it. Her laugh continued to spill out of her mouth, a light amused sound, something like a babbling brook. Once she gained control of herself she wiped a tear from her eyes and brushed her loose hair back from her face.

"You realize I'm a fire bender right?" She asked with mirth still twinkling in her eyes.

She brought up her flames, warmth spread through her as she called her element. She let them dance along her fingers before extinguishing them.

"And if I wanted to attack the avatar do you think i would have agreed to train her? I dont always agree with her, but i have no reason to attack her...." Eris said, still smiling. She walked over and picked up the disk.

"Its from Asad." She said as she handed it to Kasumi.

"You know, for an Air bender, you are quick to temper" She teased him.

Kasumi was about to order her food from the merchant that stood in front until she felt something hit the heel of her foot. She turned only to see Keirin yelling at Eris then raised a brow. Her stomach growled fiercely as she took the tablet then opened it and read it. She nodded her head then looked at Keirin and Eris. "Okay, Asad and X have broken away from the group for awhile but don't worry, I'm sure they'll be fine." She smiled then turned back to the merchant as she was about to order again until she heard screaming. A soft sigh escaped through her lips as she lowered her head, muttering. "What now?"

Kasumi turned heel and went running towards the scream. She thought it was a dumb move herself but when she arrived at the destination, she stopped dead in her tracks. A chi blocker gang was terrorizing the village in the Earth Nation. She step forward and focused on her inner chi then opened her small canteen and a wave of water came flowing out. She shot big water balls towards at least three of them then turned the water to ice and shot ice towards five more of them.

It was all a blur after that. The only thing she remembers is dominating the fight with a few others then blackness. She felt her body clinch tightly together and knew at that moment she had been attacked by a chi blocker.

Her eyes fluttered open and the only she seen was herself lying down in a bed and she could move her limbs. Kasumi jolted up and saw that she was kept under the watchful eye of chi blockers. Her lip quirked up in disgust at them as her door flung open. It was a male with a mask, who sat down on the bed and spoke. "Finally, Avatar Kasumi, I have you in my grasp. Don't worry, we took care of the others." His voice had not a care in the world as he stood. "And now with you on my side, Avatar, I can have what is rightfully mine." The male turned heel and walked out of her room as she stuffed her hands with her face.

Kasumi knew that at least a day had past but she wondered where was Eris and Keirin. If she got them killed, she wouldn't know what to do with herself. She sighed while laying down back first and staring up at the ceiling.

Heng awoke with a start to a scream nearby. After a quick look around, Heng realized that he, once again, had ended up falling asleep in an alley. But there was no time for questions or speculation; rather, it was time for action. Grabbing his helmet and slapping it onto his head, Heng rushed out of the alleyway in time to see a woman being abducted by a group of people; specifically chi-blockers. As Heng knew, a group of chi-blockers like that was no good. He had dealt with them before many times at the requests of various clients. Knowing that playing the hero would most likely net him some reward or another, Heng followed behind the chi-blockers as subtly as a man wearing a helmet made from a basket possibly could.

After a bit of following, the chi-blockers dragged the girl into an abandoned building on the outskirts of the village. The last two in the gang were left behind at the door as guards. "Only two guards... Really?"

"So, now that boss has the avatar, where do we go from here?" The guards were chatting nonchalantly, not too concerned with doing their job as guards. "How would I know? I'm just a grunt." The second guard responded, bored with standing guard. "Well, I just figured that maybe we cou-" The first guard suddenly shut up, and collapsed to the ground. "H-hey, what gives?" The second guard moved to inspect his coworker, and crouched down beside him. "A crossbow bolt..? No, this is too small. This wouldn't kill him, so why did he-" The second guard was cut off as the bottom of Heng's staff was slammed into the back of his head. "Well, that takes care of that. Now, time to make an entrance."

Heng kicked open the front door and advanced inside. The house was single floored, with only a few rooms. Before Heng could look around any further, however, a group of chi-blockers rushed to greet him. "Hey, what are you doing in he-" Wordlessly, the man was taken down; Heng swept his legs from under him and knocked him out as he fell with a sharp strike to his head. The other two men, seeing their fallen companion, decided to bum rush Heng. Heng expertly blocked their strikes, disarmed them, and moved behind them. "The door is open. Go ahead and see yourselves out, and take your friends with you. Oh, yeah, the guards outside are knocked out too. One is paralyzed, no big deal. Give him a few hours and he'll be fine." Ignoring the men any further, Heng moved on to the first room he found.

What he found inside was exactly what he was looking for. The abducted was lying on a bed, being watched by a few more chi-blockers. Startled, they weren't even given enough time to strike before Heng had taken them down with his staff; two strong strikes to their respective heads covered that. "Young lady, you are in luck! I, Heng Ling, have come to your aid! The guards outside have been disabled, and I have cleared the area outside of your room! We must make haste; I know not the enemy's number, nor do I know much else about this situation. However, fear not, as I am a skilled and capable fighter!" Approaching the side of the bed, Heng offered his hand to help her up, if need be.

Please pardon the lack of proper formatting. We did not quite format our posts properly in RPGWrite and transferring it here was quite a pain. I apologize on both mine and Orokay's behalves if this is a nuisance to anyone. If not, please enjoy the story of Asad and Xue's adventure on a tale of redemption...

Xue listened quietly as Asad explained that other than the one incident, he had never fought Chi Blockers and didn’t not really know how. She nodded slowly, beginning to understand how crucial her role in Asad’s redemption quest she really was. As he spoke, Xue removed the comb from her hair and allowed it to tumble down around her back, shoulders, and face. Then, she pulled a ribbon out of her travel back and tied it back up in a tight bun. If they were to find themselves facing a fight any time soon, she wanted to avoid having it loose, even if it meant it would make her more recognizable. Xue looked up at Asad who had stopped speaking and was actually looking at her for once. She gave him a small smile and he quickly turned his eyes away again and took a swig of his drink. She shrugged off his strange behavior once more and followed as he lead the way out of the alley.
Asad explained his method of looking for the man and while Xue didn’t find the plan to be very sound, she didn’t tell that to Asad. As they walked through the streets, Xue kept to the shadows until she spotted a small clothing stall with straw hats on display ahead. As they passed the stall, she discreetly slid a hat off of the display when the vendor wasn’t looking and placed it on her own head. Hopefully the hat would do enough to hide her identity from anyone at first glance.
They were walking past a building when Asad finished explaining how he’s lead to believe the man was in the Earth Kingdom currently when the two stopped. A conversation on the other side of the wall caught the pair’s attention and they listened closely as the strangers’ words gave them a new lead.
Asad faced Xue and gave her a grin, "Forget what I said about luck not being on my side. I have a lead." Xue returned the smile and nodded, then followed Asad as he led her back to the Avatar so that he could deliver her a message on a stone tablet.
When the message found its way to Kasumi’s feet, Asad turned back to Xue, "Come on, Xue. We have a lead to follow..."
Xue nodded and followed him as he turned and left. As they entered the market of the town, Xue pulled down the front of the hat a bit more to shade her face and then broke away from Asad to an old jewelry merchant who sent a big toothless smile Xue’s way at her approach. Xue decided to use her acting skills to get some information off of the woman and put a scared, desperate look on her face.
“Are you okay, young lady?” The old woman asked, her smile fading at the distraught look on Xue’s face.
She willed a few tears to escape her eyes and shook her head vigorously. “I… no, I’m not. I just heard about the town being attacked by Chi Blockers.” She let a wimper escape and the old woman came around the stall and patted Xue’s back.
“Shh shh.. we’re safe here. The Earth King sent extra guards not too long ago, after the last attack.” She cooed, trying to comfort Xue.
“I’m n-not afraid for myself. It’s my h-husband and my baby g-girl. They went to visit Tai Yang’s parents in the village. I want to g-go see if they’re okay b-but I don’t know the way.” She let out a heart breaking wail and buried her face in the woman’s shoulder.
“Shh I’m sure they’re fine. Here, I have a map in my stall, I’ll mark the town for you.”
“W-would you?”
The woman nodded and went back to her stall and pulled out an old map and some ink and marked a village not too far away before handing it to Xue. “Just be careful, okay?”
Xue nodded and thanked the woman before turning back to the street and catching up to Asad. She wiped her face off casually and then held the map in front of her so that they could both see. “The Weifei village,” she read, “it looks like a day’s walk from here. We’ll have to camp somewhere or stay in one of the villages in between in a few hours, the sun’s beginning to go down already and the roads aren’t safe at night, especially with Chi Blockers about.”

Asad had remained off to the side and watched his partner's little demonstration. It was impressive to say the least. There were several other thoughts that went through his head, some more decent than others. Though none were incredibly too indecent. She was quite the actress and he was wondering if that was part of the Chi Blocker training. Would that be something that they encounter when they chased after their target. Would this man be a good actor? He would try and keep this in mind for the inevitable encounter. She returned to him with a marked map and information, to which he raised an impressed eyebrow. "Incredible, Xue... It seems I made a good decision in asking you for help." He would memorize the map at least to get out of town and on the right path and keep his eyes away from her. Though the hat concealed her face as well as his did, the image of her with her hair down was still ingrained into his vision, captivating his memory. Why was he so interested in that? Women had never bothered him before. It had to have been the drink. That was it. He nudged with his head for him to follow her. Within minutes they were at the gates to the town here. He exited without any hesitation, happy to be away from anyone that might recognize him.
He let out a visible sigh of relief. The area outside of the town felt like home. The sky was blue, the grass was green, and there was a beautiful winding dirt path before them. Tipping up his hat, he took a deep breath through his nose and held it, exhaling it happily after. "This area... It reminds me of my youth. The open fields, the blue skies... It brings me back to a time of peace and relaxation. I really do long for that once again." He would tip his hat upwards so that it rested on the back of his neck and enjoyed the feeling of the sun on his face. Even the scar across his nose felt the warmth and comfortable. "One day I will be able to again... I hope you will join me if we succeed. I will owe that to you at least. Some drink and relaxation. I know it is not much... But I will find a proper way to repay you someday." His voice, however familiarly dark, was actually optimistic and honest, hopeful. A soft smile spread across his lips, one that almost seemed weak. He seemed to look at her easier as he did so before nodding and turning around in silence and setting out on the winding path before him. If they did not make it to the next village in time, he could easily bend them a makeshift tent or two. If they did, they'd get a nice bed to sleep in. Shouldn't be more than a few coins anyway. With a few hours of travel, the only thing that would get in the way is an interruption from an outside source. Otherwise, they would get there at about dusk....

When the pair reached the village limits, Xue saw a visible change come over Asad. He appeared much more relaxed and calm and she watched as he took a deep breath of air and let his hat fall to his neck. She smiled, feeling a similar sense of relief at being away from people who could potentially recognize her. She removed her own hat from her head and tied it to one of the straps of her bag. The sun felt warm on her skin and Xue closed her eyes as she walked and breathed in the country air.
"This area... It reminds me of my youth. The open fields, the blue skies... It brings me back to a time of peace and relaxation. I really do long for that once again."  Asad said, and Xue nodded in agreement for she,too had grown up in a remote Earth Kingdom village, at least she had until her family joined the Chi Blockers. "One day I will be able to again... I hope you will join me if we succeed. I will owe that to you at least. Some drink and relaxation. I know it is not much... But I will find a proper way to repay you someday."
Xue chuckled, “I think that’s a perfectly fine form of payment.” She argued, opening her eyes and looking over at Asad. He had a soft smile on his face, one that looked incredibly vulnerable, and Xue felt her lips pull down in a frown. She didn’t feel that she deserved the trust that he was putting in her, the openness and vulnerability that he was readily showing and the thought made her feel incredibly guilty for some reason. This time it was she who couldn’t look at him for too long.
The rest of the trip was relatively quiet and they made it to a small village called Shanyi shortly after dusk, tired but content. Xue didn’t find the silence between them to be awkward, in fact it felt quite the opposite. She found that she was very comfortable around Asad despite only knowing him a short time. After speaking to a farmer, they were pointed in the direction of the inn and made their way to it.
The inn was small with only a few rooms, most of them taken up by soldiers who seemed to have the same idea as Asad and Xue about getting to Weifei due to the attack. As soon as they entered the inn, Xue put her hat back on and kept to the less well lit areas of the room as she made her way to the innkeeper, a large, homely woman with a wad of chewing leaves between her teeth. Xue counted out a few coins and paid for their room and then guided Asad there. There were two small beds, a dresser, and a rickety stone chair. She tossed her bag onto the chair and then sat on the bed farthest from the door and began unlacing her shoes, eager to get off of her feet and get some rest.

As they made their way into the small village known as Shanyi, Asad would put his hat back on and tilt it forward. Keeping his face concealed, that signature scar, was vitally important. He would follow Xue around snce she seemed to know where they were going and that led them to an inn. His body felt tired from the day's ship ride and the walking and he didn't have nearly enough alcohol in him to not care about it. She even paid for the room without even consulting him about it. He would have to attempt to slip some coins back into her purse later to compensate. Making a woman pay his way felt wrong to him somehow, unchivalrous. And following her lead still, she would guide him to their room. When she opened it up, there were two beds. It was only then that he realized that they were to be sharing a room. He tipped his hat completely over his face to hide the embarassed expression he now wore. At least there were separate beds. He may not have any real experience with women, but he certainly was not so ignorant as to what a man and a woman in the same bed might be doing... He did not want her thinking that he was thinking about doing such things.
She took to a bed naturally, leaving one open. He did not care which he took, so long as he got one. He rested down on the other bed and rested his elbows on his knees, removing his hat and placing it beside him on the bed. His fingers would run through his long, brown knotted hair to get it out of his face as he worked it back into his big, poofed ponytail. It felt more comfortable to him like this than it did down. It was what he had grown accustomed to. His eyes wandered over to his companion who had begun undoing her shoes. Eyes averted instantly to focus on something, anything else... The stone chair that held her things. That would suffice. "You know... Xue. I feel like I should tell you..." That you look lovely. That was what he wanted to say. But the thought of drawing her in too close, especially too fast, was suddenly terrifying. "I.. should... tell you that you are good traveling company. Yes. And... That you..." He would sigh and lay down on the bed, facing the wall. "You should teach me some common techniques of Chi Blockers. To help me in the fight. I suppose that's all. Goodnight."  And that was it from him. He would shut his eyes tight with his head on his arm and attempt to let sleep take him. Sleep, unfortunately, did not seem to be too welcoming a host tonight. Too many things occupied his mind. Primarily two faces: Xue, and the Chi Blocker. One that represented a friendship and companionship he had longed for all too long... and one that represented his stolen honor, and a need to be brought to Justice. This was about to be a large step in Asad's life. He wasn't even too sure what he would do with his regained freedom and honor beyond helping the Avatar when he was done... But being close enough to having it tasted sweet.
Sweeter than any booze.

Xue tugged off her shoes once they were unlaced, then stretched out her legs in front of her, hearing the crack of her joints as she did so. "You know... Xue. I feel like I should tell you..." The Chi Blocker turned her eyes up towards Asad who looked more uncomfortable than ever, though she had not the slightest idea why. She shifted her bottom on the bed, it wasn’t the most comfortable but it wasn’t as unbearable as the look on his face would lead one to believe. Perhaps he had a rock in his shoe. She waited patiently for him to continue, tugging the ribbon out of her hair as she did so and combing through the knots with her fingers. "I.. should... tell you that you are good traveling company. Yes. And... That you..."

She raised an eyebrow and wondered Asad was planning on getting to the point any time soon.

"I.. should... tell you that you are good traveling company. Yes. And... That you..." He let out a sigh and laid down on the bed with his back facing her. She swallowed down a bit of annoyance, assuming that he wasn’t going to finish his statement, but he finally did. "You should teach me some common techniques of Chi Blockers. To help me in the fight. I suppose that's all. Goodnight."

Despite the previous annoyance, Xue smiled. He was probably nervous to ask her because he was such an accomplished warrior that it would hurt his pride. “I don’t mind teaching you. I’ll explain what I can to you on our way to Weifei.” She began weaving her hair into a braid and as she worked she added, “I think you’re good travel company as well, Asad. I feel more comfortable around you than I do with the others, though that’s probably because both Kasumi and Keirin seem to hate me.” She chuckled bitterly at the thought. “Anyway, goodnight to you, too.” She leaned over and blew out the lamp on a stone table between the two beds, then laid back and fell into a dreamless sleep.
---
The sun was just beginning to rise when Xue awoke, and she sat up and stretched. She then got up and nudged Asad’s back lightly with her hand. “We should probably get going soon if we want to get the town before evening.” She explained, pulling the braid out of her hair and putting it back up in its signature bun, then putting her shoes back on and heading to the door. “They have breakfast in the common area, meet me down there when you’re ready.” Xue then pulled her bag off of the chair and left Asad to the room.

Out in the common area, Xue sat a bit away from the rest of the diners and picked at a pastry while she waited for Asad to come out.

She felt more comfortable with him than the others. Was Xue allowing herself to become closer to him? Was she doing it intentionally? He could only pass it off as he was treating her like any other person, and not because she actually enjoyed his presence all that much. But those questions would luckily not bother him too long and sleep would eventually take him. Unlike Xue, Asad dreamed. Against the norm, his dreams were more pleasant. Visions of his restored honor and the Chi Blocker in shackles would tantalize his senses, creating images worth chasing after. There were other scattered pleasant dreams throughout his sleep, but none came close to as perfect as that one. For the first time in a while, The Wanderer would sleep soundly.
--
A sharp breath would come into Asad as the nudge would stir him from sleep. Not even close to half-awake yet, he would murmur "Mmkaydear.. I'll cut 'im down quick and protect the family..." He hadn't yet woken from his dream. He would only come to after she left. With a yawn and a groan from his stretch, Asad would do a quick morning warmup workout. A few simple push-ups and stretches before he would stare at the door with a blank expression. "Right... Today's the day." That comment would be followed with a burning throat as he downed a swig of his liquor and tucked away his flask. Heading out to the common area, Asad would simply swipe some bread and motion for Xue to come with him now. He exited the inn and had already begun walking towards the next set of village gates. He was eager to leave. And today, his sword felt lighter than it normally did on his hip. Would the spirits smile upon him today and grant him his justice? He could only pray. "Xue. Last night." He began speaking before clearing his throat. His voice had given out at the end of his addressal there. "I wanted to tell you also that you looked like a real Earth Kingdom woman. The look... It suits you." That was about as close to complimenting her the way he wanted to as it would get.
--
The rest of the trip would consist of small talk, brief Chi Blocker tutorials and a decent amount of silence. Asad felt a bit more prepared, but he would be lying if he said that every step closer did not make him more nervous. There was plenty that could go wrong... But Xue was a good presence. Every now and then he would quickly gaze at her and draw his mind away from that. Trained warriors like him are never supposed to show fear. But that did not mean that they did not feel it. And when they finally approached the next village, approached Weifei, he was both terrified of failure and ready to obtain victory. The gates were guarded, unsurprising after their most recent attack.
"Halt. What business have you in Weifei?" A green-clad guard would stop them as they arrived. Asad responded without hesitation.
"My wife and I have been travelling through the night, trying to find a spot to rest. We only seek an afternoon's reprieve. Please... She is with child."
The guard raised an eyebrow at Xue in inspection before shaking his head and permitting them entrance. "Just be on your toes.. You've no doubt heard of those god damned Chi Blockers."
Asad would nod with a wave, keeping his head down as he did so. "Yep. I've heard of them. Don't you worry about us. At ease." Entrance. They had their foot in the door, literally. Now all that was left was to find that bastard and take him down. It was a pretty large village. One on the outskirts of the city Asad served years ago. It was likely that he woul be recognized if he slipped up in his disguise. His head would certainly not raise. "Xue... Could I ask you to ask around? I do not wish to be recognized by anyone." As if by a cruel stroke of fate, he would notice a wanted poster for himself. A few years younger. Clean shaven. Sober. He scoffed at it, as if his past was tormenting him intentionally. He ripped it from the wall and crumpled it up, tossing it into a nearby alley. "I'm going to go search for clues myself..."

Xue sat and nibbled on her pastry for a few minutes as she waited for Asad to emerge. She thought of the look on his face as she nudged him awake. There was a calmness, a peace that she hadn’t seen before and that made him look years younger. She hoped that, in regaining his honor and taking down the Chi Blocker who stole it from him, a bit of that peace would return. It was a good look for him. A small smile touched her lips at the memory, and then the sound of someone’s approach caused her to look up. Asad held some bread in one hand and used the other to motion for Xue to leave with him. Though she would’ve been more than happy to stay for a bit to eat, she understood the urgency that Asad felt to complete his mission.

Despite the great weight upon his shoulders at the importance of the day, Xue was pleased to see that Asad seemed to be in good spirits. "Xue. Last night." His voice broke the silence and Xue turned her gray eyes up to look at him. He cleared his throat before continuing, "I wanted to tell you also that you looked like a real Earth Kingdom woman. The look... It suits you."

Xue was caught off guard by the compliment and she felt her cheeks warm so she quickly looked down to hide it. “I… thank you, Asad.” She laughed lightly, “I would hope that I look like an Earth Kingdom woman, I am from the Earth Kingdom.” When she felt that her cheeks were no longer red, she looked back up at him with a smile.
--
The trip was quiet and mostly relaxed. Xue was never one for small talk, but she attempted at conversation to try and take Asad’s mind off of stressing about the upcoming fight for his honor.

All the while, her mind kept returning to the compliment that he gave her earlier. It was just an innocent comment, but there was something about it that made her see Asad in a different light. Every once in a while, Xue would look over to him. Occasionally the two would look over at the same time and then turn away their gaze. She even found herself walking a bit closer to Asad than they had on their way to Shanyi.

They eventually made it to the gates of Weifei where a guard questioned the two and Asad gave a quick, sound answer without hesitation. The guard accepted his story without much skepticism and allowed the two into the village.
Once inside, Asad turned to Xue and asked if she would be the one to ask around to prevent anyone from recognising him. As soon as he finished speaking, they both caught sight of a wanted poster with his name on it. If not for the name, Xue doubted she would have recognized him. The man in the picture was nothing more than a boy, clean and seemingly invincible. The man before her, while strong and admirable in his own way, paled in comparison. With a scoff, Asad tore the paper from the wall and tossed it into an alleyway after crumpling it up.

Xue felt the need to comfort him, but did not know how. "I'm going to go search for clues myself..."

She frowned, but understood that Asad probably needed some space. “Be careful. If you see someone or something suspicious, find me. If you’re cornered, call me. I’ll stay in the area so I can hear you. Just..remember what I taught you.” She bit her lip, considering her next course of action before approaching Asad and wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. “Be careful.” She repeated into his ear, “you’re so close. It’s almost over. Just remember, you don’t need to fight alone and I’ll be right around the corner if you need me.” Xue hesitated, then gave him one final squeeze before letting him go, giving him a nod, and turning to question some of the villagers per Asad’s request.

Asad barely had any time to comprehend what had happened when her arms wrapped around him and kept him snug in her embrace. "Be careful." She would tell him. Touches of red would rush to his tanned cheeks as instinct would only allow him to wrap his larger arms around her and return the hug. He would say only, "We will find victory today. There is no question about that." He would give another squeeze in unison with her, regretfully relinquishing his hold on her. Letting her leave and turn away felt... heavy. As if somehow, having her on him made him lighter and removing her somehow made gravity worse on him. It was confusing. And it would not be false to say that it distracted him from his main objective for a bit."Perhaps... after all of this is through, we may embrace like that again." She was already too far away to hear that, which is perhaps the only reason he felt comfortable saying it aloud.

A soft sound behind him like a rock skipping over stone would cause him to sharply turn around, blade pointed ahead. He did not even remember drawing his blade. Like always, it just seemed to be drawn in a flash on its own. There was nothing to be seen, though. Nothing apart from a rat that had been scavenging for food. He let out a held breath and shook his head, lowering his blade but not sheathing it. He was in a state of mind where he felt like he was prey, not the predator. This situation had presented itself too many times. Going further down the alleys alone did not help. There wasn't any real way they would know that he was coming for them, unless they had eyes and ears all over...

Okay, so they probably knew that he was coming. Especially if he was still in the village... The air back here felt heavy. And everything was far. Too. Quiet.

And only the sound of metal slicing through the wind, then fabric and flesh would resonate for a split second in the alleyway... followed by two bodies falling to the ground. It would seem that no matter how little practice the blade saw, it naturally took to killing. When Asad turned around and sheathed his blade, he inspected his assailants. Two women, both of them in Chi Blocker attire. They had attacked from the rooftops. They were sloppy, probably not even fully trained, and were able to both be taken out in one swipe. "Hmph." Asad grunted and took a step backwards to turn away. A gasp for breath stopped him from moving as one of the girls tried to cling onto life. Asad would look down on her, a rather unpleasant gleam in his eye. A threatening one.
"P... Please..." She begged, red trickling down from her mouth.
His gaze did not waver, he would only ask, "Where is he? Your leader. Tell me and I will consider assisting you."
"T-The warehouses! Far edge of town..." She would cough, sending a spurt of blood forward. It would fall just before Asad's feet.
Asad would nod and kneel beside her. Cutting clothing off of the ther girl, keeping his eyes on the living one the whole while, he used the cloth to tie around her and add pressure to the wound. "Leave the Chi Blockers. I will call my friend here to take care of you." True to his word, he called Xue's name. Once she would arrive, Asad would explain to her the attack and the information leak. Turning away from her, he would say, "Take care of the girl. And when you're done... meet me at the warehouses." Giving her a glance, he would shake his head at his own thoughts and break off into a run. His hand would never leave the handle of his blades as he did so...

Xue was speaking with an elderly man when Asad’s voice calling out her name. He didn’t sound upset, but she quickly cut off the conversation and turned and ran towards the alley where they had departed. He hadn’t gone far and she saw his muscled form leaning over a young girl with the build and clothing of a Chi Blocker. She was alive, though only through luck, her friend was not so lucky.
They were the enemy. Xue told herself, though the words didn’t stop the sickness in her stomach at the sight of the girls. She didn’t recognize them, but she saw her old self in them and knew that it could have just as easily been her if she hadn’t left the Chi Blockers only a few months ago. Her mind wandered to the not so recent past and it was only when Asad’s voice came through to her that she realized that she had been standing at the entrance of the alleyway still and pale as a ghost.
"Take care of the girl. And when you're done... meet me at the warehouses." She blinked at him a few times and then nodded slowly. It wasn’t until the sound of Asad’s footsteps faded away that she snapped out of it and rushed to the girl’s side. She took the girl’s small hand and held it in one of her own, then looked down at Asad’s crude bandaging. The blood was already beginning to soak through and the cloth he had used was thin and dirty. If anything it would just make things worse. Xue quickly undid the bandaging and looked over the wound. It was nasty, but she’d seen worse. She pulled the girl’s clothes away from the cut and took out her water skin from her bag, pouring out its contents on the girl’s stomach. She then removed her sash and wrapped it tightly around the wound. The girl whimpered, and Xue sent a sad look up at her. “You’re going to be okay.” She promised, though she wasn’t so sure. The girl obviously couldn’t ask for help, her clothes bared the colors of a chi blocker and Xue’s wrappings weren’t going to be enough. She needed a healer.
Finally, an idea came to her. She gently undid the fastenings on the girl’s red and black robe, and removed it. The girl looked shocked and afraid, but too tired to say anything. Understanding came into her scared eyes when Xue removed her own robe with colored with the traditional Earth Kingdom greens. She helped the girl sit up and then assisted her into the robe, fastening the robe shut. Xue herself would be fine without it, she had a pair of trousers and a green undershirt and she would tolerate whatever looks came her way. Finally, she pulled the ribbon out of the girl’s hair, allowing it to tumble around her shoulders and face in long, black ringlets. When the disguise was as good as it was going to get, Xue helped the girl up and half carried her into the square.
“Help! Help!” She called, willing tears into her eyes, “my cousin was walking home when she was attacked! I found her lying in the street, they left her there to die!”
A man ran over and helped Xue with the girl’s weight while a woman in water tribe colors came over and looked at the red seeping through Xue’s robe on the girl. “Can you speak?” The woman asked, leading the group over to a small house. The girl looked terrified and Xue understood that she was afraid to say something wrong and get found out, so Xue cut in, “she’s mute, she hasn’t spoken since my aunt died.”
“Poor child. I’ll see if I can help her. Take her over there and lay her in the pool.” As they entered the house, Xue saw that the main room was set up like what you might see in a Water Tribe healing tent with a large, clear pool in the center. Xue and the man took her there and laid her in the water as the woman had instructed.
“I..I hate to leave her just now but.. my husband and little boy are out there, I want to go make sure they're safe.”
The woman nodded, she had already begun helping the Chi Blocker and was obviously preoccupied. “I’ll send her home when she’s strong enough, she’ll be safe here.”
For some reason, Xue was glad that the girl would be okay and went out of the home feeling conflicted about her feelings. It had been Asad who had cut down the two girls. While they had probably attacked him first, they were obviously novices. Neither of them put up any fight and he probably could have easily knocked them out. Although, if it had been anyone else in his same situation she knew that they would have shown no mercy to the young Chi Blockers.
There was also the fact that Xue had never fought her own people before. She knew that with her mission with the Avatar she would have to and had been at peace with it, or so she thought. The encounter with the young girl had shaken her and she wasn’t sure that she was as detached as she had thought. She didn’t want to let Asad down but that one encounter left her shaken and unsure of herself.
Suddenly, the image of Asad beside the old wanted poster came to her. The broken look on his face and the tug that she felt in her heart when their eyes met on the road made her reconsider her feelings. These Chi Blockers broke him for no reason, they destroyed his life and brought him down this path. Perhaps the old Asad would have thought twice before attacking the two girls and in that sense the Chi Blockers waiting at the warehouse had surely brought it upon themselves, right? This was what Xue would have to go with and she quickened her strides gradually until she was full out sprinting to the warehouse.
She reached the warehouse a bit after Asad due to her detour with the Chi-Blocker. Rather than barge in, she decided to take a less direct route and find an enterance that she could sneak into and find where Asad was. The place was big, but a warehouse is a warehouse and there weren't many rooms so she quickly found the one where Asad was. She found a spot up high and behind a few crates that she could watch the goings on without being seen. When the fight broke out she'd be ready to swoop in and assist with the element of surprise on her side.

Asad had to leave quickly, to avoid looking at her too long. Now Xue would understand the life he led, the life of a killer. An innocent man looking to retain his innocence through non-innocent means... How ironic, he would constantly think. He killed only when attacked, to preserve his own life. He only wished that the number of those he killed was fewer than what it was. He could not even remember the number if he tried. It was not something that he let try to plague him. Especially now as he made his way through the back alleys of the town and to the warehouse. Killing was not something he would be afraid to do...

Standing before the great doors to this warehouse, he knew he was ready. This was it. The end of his run. Surprisingly, he showed no hesitation. The doors opened almost immediately as he arrived as them, letting a rectangle of light paint the stone floor of an otherwise low-lit warehouse. He took two steps in and closed the doors behind him himself before anyone else could. Xue would be here soon, so he felt a bit more confident about being here in the first place. He would be able to fight alone for a while. Asad was not aware that Xue was already waiting for him.

"Well... Well... Well... How much like the mouse to walk directly onto the trap." A voice would calmly call from the darkness.
"Sometimes a mouse can defeat the cat, Chi Blocker..." Asad would reply in that dark tone of his. It was unshaking, prepared.
"You are different from last time. You look like an old man, disheveled and drunk. But... you certainly are more seasoned. Asad, was it? Your wanted poster is plastered all over town." The voice taunted him.
"That would be your fault, Chi Blocker. You framed me and got away... The only one who knew of your existence was me. But they would not believe me when the man I was sworn to protect was killed by my own blade... You are an intelligent man, I will give you that much. But you chose the wrong person's life to ruin. I intend to show you exactly what a man with nothing left to lose can do..." His grip on the handle of his blade grew tighter. "Tell me... Why do you not have any underlings here with you? Would an ambush not have been a better idea?"
"For a drunken fool? No. I know how you samurai are with your honor codes and all of that. So I figured I would give you a chance at redemption." The voice sounded sarcastic. The next sounds would be footsteps as his target drew closer. Within a moment's time he was close enough to be seen. A tall man, but falling just a few inches short of Asad. His brown hair was back in a ponytail, but secured down the whole way unlike Asad's normal plume. His garb was exactly that of the Chi Blockers, unsurprisingly, and his eyes... Green had never looked more malicious. His build was not exactly as muscley as Asad, but it was toned and a bit bulky. This man had spent much time training his body. As a Chi Blocker, this would not bode well for the rounin Asad.

"You will regret coming alone, then. Your little watch fell in one swipe... both of them." Asad drew his blade, giving it a full circular twirl as it unsheathed from its hilt. Extending it out to point just under the Chi Blocker's chin, he would give a smirk. The Chi Blocker remained stoic, as if he were not scared at all. "Dying is the easy way out, however... And I will not grant you an easy way out... HASAGI!" Asad lunged forward to stab with his blade, only to have the Chi Blocker knock it away and toss Asad off balance. He recovered quickly and turned to face his opponent, who was about to begin blocking right off the bat. Asad raised his fist, a wall of Earth erupting before him to take the attack. The Blocker smashed that to pieces, giving Asad enough time to move aside and strike again. "TON!" He would call after making another attempt at a slash. His opponent would simply bend backwards, touching the ground with his fingers before rubber banding back up to attempt a strike at Asad. This was one of the techniques Xue had taught him, and he was ready. Asad quickly ducked the strike, kicking down the ground as he did so. A cube of earth would jet up from under the Blocker, but his reflexes were quick and he used it as a chance to gain ground on Asad, going up higher to bait him into striking again.

As if Asad didn't have experience fighting those on a higher position than him. Kicking the earth beneath him again, he would jet up on a large rectangular piece and ascend. Kicking off the earth, he went up and over the Blocker. At first the Blocker was confused. Why did he not try to strike? His answer was a bunch of rock to the face. That kick that propelled Asad had also commanded the earth to shoot forward at the Blocker. Asad had landed the first blow. Pressing against the ware house wall, he quickly bent a spot for him to perch upon. Crouched, he looked down at his opponent who was now flat on his back. "Not bad for a drunk, eh?" Asad would call down. That hit felt really good. He commemorated it with a sip from his drink... a rather cocky sip that left him unaware of the Blocker's next attack. The Blocker would attack upwards with a less-than-graceful uppercut that would cause Asad to fall forward onto the ground. His gourd slipped from his hands, the alcohol spilling out and leaking across the floor. On his hands and knees, Asad tried to rise, only to feel three swift strikes in his back. Letting out a pained grunt, he fell to his elbows and grabbed onto his sword. Rolling over, he took a rather badly-formed swipe at the Blocker as he did so. One that, expectedly, missed. It was to keep him from blocking any more chi, though. He could already feel himself disconnecting with the earth beneath him. Any more and he would not be able to pull out his trump card.

"I'd say that was pretty bad, actually. You seem to be rather rusty. Did killing your former comrades not help keep you in shape, Drunken Golem?"
"You've no right to speak about that. Because of what you did to me, they thought me to be a criminal. I killed them because I had to. Not for any other reason... I did what I had to do to stay alive." Asad knew this man was on a higher level than him in terms of combat. Chi Blockers were crazy fighters, their methods unknown to Asad and difficult to counter. This man was nimble and quick, easily dodging many of Asad's strikes and attacks.
"I can see it in your eyes. You know you cannot beat me. I do not have anything personal against you though, bender. So how about I give you the easy way out?"
Asad gritted his teeth together as the Chi Blocker stepped forward and moved with a speed that Asad could not comprehend until he was already striking. He blocked two of the three quick jabs with the flat of his blade, the third jab into his shoulder causing his non-sword arm to drop limp. The Blocker was smart and jumped back, only getting his clothing cut in the stomach piece as Asad made his counter strike. Asad scowled. He was being outclassed here... It made sense with the Blocker knowing Earth Bending and the kingdom itself in and out. But Asad was deemed a master... He refused to lose to this scum. Especially when Xue was going to be here. He could not look weak in front of her.

"This isn't over yet! IGEI TON!" Kicking at the earth and slamming his fist into it at the same time, the very warehouse began to shake. Between the Blocker and Asad the ground between them just crumbled and fell into itself, forming itself into a pile. This was where his namesake came from... For when the pile of stone and rubble began rising, it began taking a somewhat humanoid shape. Like a collosal armored man made of rock. This was one of the golems that made Asad famous. "Get ready, Chi Blocker!" With a loud grunt, Asad forced the golem forward, to grapple the blocker. It was harder to command with several points already blocked. But it was certainly still manageable, shaky or not. The man was way stronger than he looked, but even he could not hold out against the golem's grapple for long. And the hulking mass of stone would pin him down.

It felt... too easy. But for now it would have to do. His eyes were fixated on the Blocker as he picked up his gourd, putting the empty container on his hip where it belonged. "This is my namesake... The power that will take you down and return my honor." He dropped to one knee in exhaustion, all of his focus going into keeping the golem stable. Hopefully Xue would reveal herself and help him. With all of these points blocked and the sweat beading down his face, the golem wasn't going to hold for long. And the Blocker's consistent silence left an uncomfortable feeling in Asad's gut...

Xue couldn’t see the Chi Blocker from her vantage, but she could hear him and there was something in his voice that she found unsettling. Not necessarily his tone, but something that she couldn’t quite put her finger on. He told Asad that he had come alone, but she knew Chi Blockers and decided to check the perimeter before taking him on his word.

So, she moved from her perch, weaving in between crates and along the room, checking everywhere she could think that might conceal chi blockers, careful to stay concealed and silent. She had slid off her shoes up at her original perch as the two spoke, and found it much easier to move along.

Xue stopped when she heard a shout from Asad followed by the sounds of struggle. It seemed Asad’s final fight for redemption had begun. She slid between two crates and watched carefully, she would only step in when necessary.

She felt a puff of pride when Asad was able to use one of the skills that she had taught him against the enemy, and it seemed that he was gaining the upper hand until he made one crucial mistake. His own confidence became his downfall as he took a sip of his drink and gave the chi blocker an opening which he promptly used to his advantage.

Then, Asad was on the ground and, despite his efforts to block, had his non-sword arm rendered temporarily useless with an expertly placed jab. Xue began to slide out of her hiding spot, she kept to the shadows to avoid being seen, and made her way to the two, considering strategy as she went. She knew that they needed to keep from killing the man, his testimony being the only thing that could clear Asad’s name, but they needed to get him down and keep him from using his chi blocking.

A shout from Asad startled her, though not as much as the shaking of the warehouse that followed. Xue sent a startled look up at the stacked crates beside her, but they seemed to be too heavy to tilt so easily and she quickly turned her eyes back to Asad and whatever he was doing. the stone floor of the warehouse between the chi blocker and Asad began to grow and rise until it took the shape of a large golem.

It was a thing of beauty and power, and Xue paused to gawk at it before focusing her mind back on the task at hand. She was close enough to hear the heavy breathing of both men, but still hidden by shadows. The Chi Blocker’s back was to her for a moment, before the golem moved forward and pinned him down.

Asad fell to one knee and Xue decided that it was time to reveal herself and came out of the shadows. Silently, she came up to the golem and looked down at the man who had ruined her friend’s life.

Her legs felt weak and the man’s green eyes grew wide with recognition. “Li Mei!” He exclaimed, then anger replaced shock and he began to struggle at the grip of the golem.

His name was Audeiu and he had been her friend back in her own village, then her rival in the caves. She hadn’t expected the man to be anyone she knew and took a step back. Though they had become bitter rivals during their time training, he had once been her friend and she didn’t know if she had the strength to throw that away. Xue turned to Asad who crouched on the ground, using all of his willpower to keep the golem on Audeiu, but the sight of him made her more torn. She had promised that she would fight the chi blockers and help the Avatar bring balance to the world, but..could she do it?

A quiet popping noise could be heard and Xue hadn’t registered it until she looked down and saw Audeiu sliding out from under the golem’s grip, rising, and then popping his joints back into place with a grunt of pain followed by a growl, “How dare you show your face here Li Mei, you traitorous bitch!”

She hadn’t realized that he had moved until his fist connected to her stomach and brought her to the ground. Survival instinct came in and she rolled with the punch, then when he was recovering his stance, she slid her feet under his own and brought him down as well. Xue wanted to vomit, but mustered enough energy to stand and face her old friend.

“Audeiu, you don’t have to do this.” She said quietly as he stood and the two began to circle, “turn yourself in now.”

He laughed cruelly and spat at her feet in response. “I would never turn myself in, turncloak. I’m not as weak as you or your friend here, I’m going to fight.”

Xue shrugged, the question had been rhetorical for the most part, she only wanted to distract him as she recovered from the hit. She waited for the right moment before lunging forward with her arms tucked at her sides so he wouldn’t get a clear hit at her wrists. He sidestepped, but his form was sloppy due to the beating he had taken by Asad’s hand and Xue was able to adjust her position and get a few jabs in before retreating a few steps and beginning to circle again. While her attacks had been somewhat blind, Xue was not a novice and had scored enough to see that his left arm was useless. When an opening presented itself again, she came at his other side. However, Audeiu knew it was coming and turned his back to her at the last second so that her jabs went to the already worthless arm and when she went to hop back in retreat, he grabbed her leg to flip her over. Fortunately, Xue had regained her composure and was able to escape his grip with a well placed kick of her other leg and land in a roll. She stood and faced him, trying to appear confident though she wasn’t so sure she could win this battle if Asad didn’t recover quickly. Though she had been known as a prodigy, Audeiu was one of the few her age who had been able to rival her which had quickly turned their friendship sour. Their skills had been pretty much even when she left, but Xue had spent three months on the streets trying not to go hungry as she sought out the Avatar and Audeiu had spent those three months on missions and in training.

This time it was he who attacked first and Xue played him evasively, leading him further from Asad so that Asad would have room to prepare his next attack once he was able to.

When Xue finally intervened, Asad let out a sigh of relief. He took no pride in having assistance in his deciding battle, but... Well, he did owe it to her. His focus on the golem dropped enough to create a rough opening for the Blocker to escape. Asad cursed himself under his breath and allowed the golem to fall over inactive. He would let Xue duel the Blocker, who she had named Audeiu, while he tried to regain some stamina. It was obvious watching them that they knew each other. One important note Asad made was when he referred to her as a "turncloak." Not that Asad had cared too much up until this point, but that was verification that she was no longer with them. Something to report to the Avatar and the rest of the gang. Hopefully that paired with her actions today would convince them that she truly was on their side...

There was time to care about things like that later, though. Asad had no idea how to un-block his chi, if that was even a thing. He knew too little about them and had forgotten to ask Xue. Once again, the Drunken Golem cursed himself under his breath and let his breath return to him. What was he to do now? Bending was unreliable, and his left arm was still not responding to his whims. Still, this was his fight and Xue was handling it currently. He would not stand for that. Those were his thoughts as he actually rose to his feet and kept a hold on his sword. "I feel like an old geezer... weak and useless." He would smirk as he mumbled this to himself and took a stumbled step forward. He had let this man make such light work of him... "So much for being a master... samurai or bending... Have I really become so dulled? Am I but a blade long past its expiration date?"

Asad could suddenly feel the weight of the world upon his shoulders. The fate that this man had caused him... The once friendly faces he cherished turned cold and pale with the cruel touch of death struck by his blade... He could feel his anger boiling. Was he really about to let all of those lives go to waste? Each one caused by his blade, were they to have died for nothing? No. No, Asad would not permit that. Being here in this scenario had awakened a feeling Asad had long forgotten. This impulse to win, the desire to conquer at all costs... The desire to regain and preserve his honor.

He now let his teeth show in a great smirk. His once cold and empty eyes now had a gleam of determination. He was truly ready to fight now. His warrior instinct had returned.

Dashing through the warehouse near-silently, he approached the one called Audeiu from behind and brought his blade upward at a slash to his back. "CHORYON!" The blade easily cut through the clothing and softly into his skin like fresh scissors through paper. Even with several points blocked and a dead arm, Asad would certainly prove a much stronger challenge now than before. This was the power of a man with nothing left to lose, and everything to gain. He fought for himself, his honor, for justice... And for Xue.

Asad moved with the wind, as if he were an Air Bender rather than an Earth Bending master. His movements were fluid and each one had a purpose. In the Blocker's back in the opposite direction, Asad would land another successful blow. "SORYE!" That slash easily turned into another with another battle cry. Asad then tossed his blade into the air, using his functional arm to grab hold of the stricken Blocker and pull him back and away from Xue. He went stumbling a few steps and tried to recover. But Asad was no longer broken down and beaten. The world would no longer hold him prisoner. In the time it took for the Blocker to get solid footing, Asad had caught his blade as it descended and pivoted on his left foot to make a clean stab into the Blocker's abdomen.

He then lifted his left leg and pressed it into Audeiu's chest, kicking him off of the blade. The man would let out a pained cry, the wounds beginning to take a toll on his body. There were far too many too quickly, and his body was beginning to go into shock. But Asad needed him alive. This life was the only one keeping Asad from being a free man. His foot returned to the ground with a slam, causing a small quake in the warehouse again. "SORYE GE TON!" The golem behind Audeiu would become animate once again. Though it remained on the ground, its face would turn to "stare" directly into the man's eyes as it shot forward its arm. Its fist opened up and quickly wrapped around the length of the Blocker's body. The man would only be able to grunt in pain as the fist closed tightly around him and took him down to the ground. The golem would drop back down completely inactive, leaving the Blocker in a prison of stone. Asad dropped to one knee, his sword falling out of his hands with exhaustion as he tried to find his breath again. His expression was pained, but triumphant. Seeing the Blocker that ruined his life reduced to such a sorry state by his own power was the moment he had been waiting for. Now... Now he just needed to be turned in.

Asad's face would pale just a bit as he knelt there. He had put a toll on his own body now, bending with points blocked. In his eyes, this victory was worth any pain. But with his eyes trying to close and his vision blurring, it was difficult to think, let alone stand. But he would inch closer anyway. Approaching the captive, he would drop down to his hands and knees, knocking that annoying hat off of his head and letting his hair fall as it would. "You... will regret ruining my life... And all of the other atrocities you have committed... since then, Chi Blocker..." The expression of the Chi Blocker was angry, obviously agitated at having lost to a drunk and his rival. That expression only made Asad grin more as he rolled over onto his back. Audeiu himself would collapse from exhaustion, dirt and wounds coating his body under the stone prison.

Asad would only laugh for a second, feeling weights being lifted off his chest one by one. The faces of those he killed would stop burdening him for the time being, leaving his vision with smiles. Smiles that would, in turn, permit Asad to keep his smile. His heart would feel light, despite its aggressive pounding against his rib cage. "Xue..." The tired voice would beckon for her. When she would come to him, he would lift his right arm to push the messy brown hair from his face to look at her. "I was thinking... You know, this guy said something..." His triumphant smile had turned into a pleased smirk as he forced himself to sit up against the colossal fist that kept Audeiu prisoner. "Li Mei. It's a very pretty name." Tired as the man was, he stayed awake. He just needed some time to recover, to move this man to the authorities and begin explaining things. From that point on... Asad would be a free man. A free man with his honor in tact, and a new friend at his side. This thought let the smile paint itself back on his face, soft and tired, but there nonetheless as he closed his eyes. "Thank you."

Xue’s focus was on the task at hand and her vision became tunneled, it was only her and Audieu. She ducked, rolled, and jumped over each of his attacks, not letting him touch her but not touching him either. They were both beginning to wear out and Audieu had begun to turn to taunting to try and get Xue to lose focus.

“This is a lost cause, Li Mei.” He called with a harsh, sharp laugh. “You’re not going to win and when I kill your friend, I’ll make sure to bring you back to the rest and let them kill you nice and slow. Though perhaps not before I have a bit of my own fun.” He licked his lips and Xue had to fight hard to resist the urge to attack him. This wasn’t her fight, this was Asad’s and she was only giving him time to get back on his feet.

She found herself nearing a wall, and Audieu used that distraction to slip in a jab and Xue felt her arm go weak, though he had not hit it hard enough to render it completely useless. She retreated quickly and attempted to massaged the numbness out of her arm. A noise behind her caused Xue to turn and she saw Audieu lung forward. She was cornered and knew that she wouldn’t be able to react in time. Audieu knew it, too, and a knowing smirk came across his face and his mouth open to taunt once more-

He was cut off when a dark form came up behind him and landed a huge blow in Audieu’s back. He then grabbed Audieu and Xue saw Asad’s blade go through the abdomen of the man who was once her friend.

She paled and stumbled back, her heart thudding in her chest and her ears ringing. Was this what she wanted? She had been bent on helping Asad and over the course of the trip had felt her feelings for her new friend change quite dramatically, though she still didn’t know what that quite meant, but...was this what she wanted? Xue’s back made contact with a crate and she used it as support as she watched.

Audieu had been captured once again by Asad’s golem and Asad was laying on his back with a smile and a laugh. Xue could see years of heavy burden lifted from his shoulders and, despite her conflicted feelings, she knew she wanted to be there with him. She was exhausted so her movements were less than graceful, but she got to Asad’s side. She put her hand on his shoulder but said nothing, a grim look on her face as she turned to her former friend, wounded and beaten in the fist of the golem.

"Xue...I was thinking... You know, this guy said something..." Xue turned back to look at Asad who was wearing a pleased smirk on his tired features as he sat himself up against the large stone fist. She scooted up next to him and laid her head on his shoulder. "Li Mei. It's a very pretty name." She blushed and allowed a small smile..

“Thank you, I guess I forgot to mention that.”

"Thank you."

“No need. I’m glad I was able to share this adventure with you.” She sighed and shut her eyes, “and as much as I’d like to stay here and rest, we need to turn in Audieu before he...before he’s unable to confess.”

Her head on his shoulder was welcome. Were the situation any other, he'd have simply enjoyed sitting like this for a while. Contact, being close with another person, suddenly did not seem so scary. Soon enough, he would be able to go out undisguised and enjoy her company without worrying about putting her in harm's way. But she was certainly right. They had to get Audieu back to the authorities before he bled out. And it was obvious from his little brush with the previous Blockers that he was really only good at ending lives, not preserving them. "I suppose you are right, Xue. Come on, then..." His voice was hesitant, clearly wanting not to get up at the moment.

Gently slipping away from her comforting presence, he would stand up with a rather loud, pained groan and a wobble as he tried to keep his footing. He did not bother seeking out the large hat that he wore. Holding out his hand like a claw, it would stab straight into the stone of the fist and be dragged along as he began walking away from the scene. The colossal fist now felt like it was really dragging him down as he made his way out of the warehouse doors, a sign that the slip-ups early in the battle had really been a mistake. They were wearing his body down now... But it was an exhaustion and pain that he would endure.
--
The two would certainly receive some strange looks as they walked down the streets with a man encased in stone. Asad seemed not to notice, however. His expression, however, pained, was clearly too happy and too excited to care about any on-lookers. And by the time they reached the guard's post, he felt like he was going to collapse over. One of the guards at this station was clad in blue, a more complete armor set akin to something that Asad would be wearing. He raised an eyebrow at the exhausted man. "Asad...? Is that you?" The voice was grizzly and strong, much like Asad's.
"Y... Yeah. You with the Azure Guard, then? Good. Listen, I need-" Asad cut himself off as he now recognized the figure. "Bato? Is that you, you old dog?"
The other man would grin, slapping Asad on his back. In his weakened state, however, Asad would fall flat forward. "You used to be tougher, you damned wolf. But damn have you some gall to show yourself out in the open like this. If you weren't carrying a wanted criminal with you, I'd execute you on the spot. So explain yourself... If we weren't old friends, ya'd already be a goner."

The man called Bato would take Xue, Asad and Audieu back to his tent just outside the village. It was there that Asad had received some food and water (however reluctant he was to actually drink that) and explained the situation. The original attack, Asad's journey after the framing, everything up until this point. Though he did make sure to leave out the fact that Xue was a Chi Blocker. Bato listened intently, making sure not to miss a single detail of his friend's story. Once all was said and done, Bato simply grunted and shook his head. "Of all people, I'd never expect you to get caught up in something like this. But I knew you'd never betray us. But what else were the Elders supposed to believe with no one else at the scene? Regardless... I believe you. I know the kind of man you are, Asad Boder. I'll testify on your behalf. We will get this sorted out immediately."
Asad got down on his hands and knees in a gesture of bow, lowering himself as much as possible to express his gratitude. "Bato. I... I cannot explain how-"
He was cut off by another slap to the back. "Aw, shut up, you old wolf. None of that mushy stuff with me. You know better." However, despite the seemingly rough words, Bato smiled at his friend and stood up tall. "Now, come on. Let's-" He cut himself off as he saw the shape his friend was in now. Asad had literally passed out on the ground inside of the tent. His body finally collapsed under its own exhaustion. With a sigh and a soft chuckle, Bato shook his head and then turned it to face Xue. "You the poor girl he's with? I don't know how long you two have been with one another, but keep an eye on this one. You know. After all of this is over. He can be a real fool sometimes, especially with a few drinks in him. But he's my friend and I want to know he's in good hands. So. Keep an eye on him, will you, girl? I'll be back." Smirking, he left the tent. Asad's body would not be able to refrain from snoring as he slept. But the look on his face was peaceful and carefree. If he could see it himself, he would know that everything up to this point was worth it...

Xue reopened her eyes and let Asad slip out from under her head and then helped herself to her feet. She wasn’t as beat up as he was, but all of the running and dodging that she had done had left her tired and the hits that Audieu had managed were beginning to feel sore and bruised. As the two left the warehouse, she kept close beside Asad. She was thankful for his company, but there was a grim set to her soft features as she battled her thoughts regarding Asad, Audieu, and the life that she had left behind.

Her first steps out of the caves had been liberating, and as she integrated herself into the world of benders and non-benders she felt sure of her path in destroying the chi blockers who attempted to take away that harmony. While her morals had not changed, the big bad Chi Blockers now wore the faces of old friends, colleagues, and family and Xue wasn’t sure that she was strong enough to face them.

For whatever reason, she turned and looked at Asad. His silhouette was strong, sturdy, and similarly liberated in the way that she had been once. Perhaps she was not strong enough on her own, but perhaps with some help she would be able to better discern friend from foe. The thought helped give her some peace of mind, and she walked a bit closer to Asad so that every once and a while their shoulders would brush and she would be reminded that he was still there, walking beside her.

They soon arrived at the guard post and Xue stood back as Asad spoke with whom she supposed was an old friend by the quick banter they shared. After a few words, the man called Bato escorted them into his tent outside of the city limits where Asad explained everything that had occurred.

Bato believed his story and promised that he would speak on Asad’s behalf. Shortly after, Asad fell asleep and Bato turned to her. “You the poor girl he's with? I don't know how long you two have been with one another, but keep an eye on this one. You know. After all of this is over. He can be a real fool sometimes, especially with a few drinks in him. But he's my friend and I want to know he's in good hands. So. Keep an eye on him, will you, girl? I'll be back."

Xue was too tired to protest so instead she nodded, “I’ll make sure he stays out of trouble.” She promised, looking down at Asad’s sleeping form. Bato exited and Xue crawled behind her friend. She was tired, but he was going to need to be fully unblocked eventually so she began massaging the points that had been attacked and attempted to restore the flow of his Chi. When she finished, she sat beside him and waited either for Asad to awaken or Bato to return, but as she did Xue found herself beginning to nod off and finally curled up beside Asad and fell into a light sleep.

A groan would escape Asad as he finally came to. He rose slowly onto his bottom and stretched out with a yawn. He had noticed the pain he had experienced earlier had gone away for the most part, and he could feel a complete connection with the earth again. Rest really seemed to do him some good. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes with his left hand he would notice a little mass curled up beside him. Looking at her, his heart skipped a beat. She looked so peaceful beside him, trusting enough to sleep beside him. Comfortable enough to want to sleep beside him. Red filled his tan cheeks as he... "accidentally" imagined the implications of that and choked on his own breath. "Jeez, Asad... Your mind sure is something else." He would scold himself aloud. Still though, he smiled softly and placed a hand gingerly on her head. Li Mei. Xue. Which did he prefer more? Her true name, or the name she chose for herself? The former was more beautiful and truly represented her, but the latter was hers. She took it for herself, for her own reasons. Of course that was how he would refer to her... but maybe she wouldn't mind if he used her former name now and then.

His thoughts would be interrupted as Bato came back into the tent. From what light Asad could see before his friend came in, it was approaching dusk. "Well, Asad... He had his emergency hearing. I think you'll be happy to hear that he has been found gilty of all charges against him... And that includes the most recent charge... The framing of a certain former Azure Guard member." Bato had a big grin upon his face. Asad did not bother questioning how Bato got the confessions. If anyone could do it, it was that man.
Bato grinned, attempting to suppress tears. Happy ones, this time. This meant that he had been found innocent. Now he was truly free. Honor had been restored to his name. "Bato... You damn dog. Without you, I don't think they-"
"What did I go and tell you about that sappy stuff, ya damned wolf? Consider it even for all the tough spots you got me out of back in the day." Bato was trying not to show any emotion, but he was pretty proud of himself.
Asad simply chuckled, waving a dismissive hand. "You got it, you got it. Debts repaid. Not that they ever mattered to me."
"There is, uh, one thing, though." Bato would begin, his expression dropping a bit. "You're not permitted to be a member of the Azure Guard anymore. You killed our men. The Elders acknowledge it was in self-defense and self-preservation... But permitting you back into our order would cause a bit too much trouble. They think it'll stir up some emotions of the crew."
Asad would nod. "That's okay, Bato. I have a new task anyway..."
"Oh, you do now?"
"I do. I have met the Avatar. And she has requested that I become her new instructor. Her master in the art of Earth Bending." All was silent for a moment before Bato erupted into laughter.
"YOU! Met the Avatar!? Damn it, Asad. Your luck is looking more and more up with each passing second. With you as her teacher, she's bound to be the most powerful Earth Bender the world'll ever see!"
Asad chuckled with a nod. "Yeah. I have things to protect again." He looked down at Xue as he said this. "I have my honor and my freedom once again... I figure helping out the Avatar is a good use of my time, eh? Help decide the fate of the world..."
"Heh. Good thing you got kicked out of the Azure Guard, then. You're doing better work out there with the Avatar, Asad." Bato grinned and shook his head. "Anyway, you'll need to turn in your Azure Guard uniform. What's left of it anyway, you goddamn slob."
Asad made a rather rude, sarcastic hand gesture. "I don't suppose you've got something similar in green? Gotta say, I've grown accustomed to this stuff."
"One step ahead of you, Asad." Bato tossed a small package from his side at Asad. "Get out of here and change before the little lady wakes up."

Asad was pretty sure that Xue had been at least somewhat awake to hear at least some of the conversation, but he nodded in affirmation. Leaving the tent, he came back soon enough in a much more clean, well-maintained version of his former outfit. Of course, all of the blue had been replaced with the Earth Nation's trademark green. Even the pauldron was included. Asad's hair was tied up and back like normal, his plume of hair making itself known once again. "You look like your old self, Asad! Or you would if you'd shave."
"Being a fugitive leaves scarce time for personal hair care, Bato. But I'll make a note of it."
Bato scoffs sarcastically. "Well... I got you an eel hound to get you back to your little Avatar there quickly. Can't keep the bridge between here and the spirit world waiting now."
"Right... As soon as Xue awakens, we will leave." He did not bother wasting his time trying to thank Bato. It would just be shot down anyway.
"We're taking down your wanted posters in the area. Word will spread as time goes on. Soon enough it'll be like you were never wanted." He let a moment of silence pass. "Come see me sometime. If you need anything in your quest, tell me. And I'd love to meet the Avatar sometime, too. It'd be an honor."
Honor no longer felt like a heavy word. "You got it, Bato."
"Alright... You two get along now. I've gotta get back to work."

And without another word Bato left the tent. It was about time for Asad and Xue to leave and set on back to Kasumi and the others. To continue the group's quest...

Xue’s sleep was a light one and she found herself waking up quite often though she still didn’t have the energy or motivation to get up again and would quickly fall back asleep to the sound of Asad’s rhythmic breathing and the feeling of his back against hers. Even so, she managed to sleep through Asad’s original awakening and didn’t wake up until she heard the sound of Bato’s voice as he re-entered the tent.

"Well, Asad... He had his emergency hearing. I think you'll be happy to hear that he has been found guilty of all charges against him... And that includes the most recent charge... The framing of a certain former Azure Guard member."

Xue hugged her legs tighter to herself and sucked in some air at his words. She was relieved and happy, so incredibly happy for her friend, but.. Audieu. He was her enemy, but she had played with him long ago in the streets of the village. They would stay over at each other’s huts and pick each other up when they fell down. He had changed once they began training, especially after they were put into different groups, but he was once her friend and, knowing him, it had taken a lot more than ‘asking kindly’ to get him to talk. As much as Xue didn’t want it to, the thought still hurt despite everything that had happened.

Still, she showed no sign of being awake and listened to Bato and Asad talk. Even after everything that happened with Audieu, she couldn’t be mad at Asad and every word that he spoke was earnest and heartfelt.

When he finally left to change, Xue rolled over on her back with her hands resting on her stomach and attempted to think through everything that had happened. Her mind was a jumbled mess, though through it all she could see Asad standing tall and proud, his honor restored and a huge burden lifted off of his shoulders. Perhaps now he would have the strength to help her with her own burdens, as selfish as it sounds.

The sound of footsteps and the canvas flap of the tent shifting caused Xue to turn her eyes over to the door to see Asad stepping back in, ready for the road. She knew what it meant and slowly stood up. Her pack had been left somewhere, probably in the alley where she had helped the girl, but there wasn’t much in it that Xue needed anyway, so she didn’t bring it up to Asad and simply walked over to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

“You’ve done well. I’m glad I could help you with your quest.” She smiled and wrapped him up in a quick hug before leading him out of the tent and facing the open road. “I suppose Kasumi will be waiting. Knowing her temper, I don’t think we should keep her that way for long.”

Eris

”Only the dead see the end of war.”

Eris heard a scream and hesitated. She knew her duty was to the Avatar, but she hated to see people in trouble. Her problem was solved and intensified all at once as the Avatar ran towards the scream.

“Stupid girl!” She muttered as she took off after her. Avatar or not the girl was not ready to get into trouble.
She rounded the corner seconds after Kasumi did. She spotted the chi-blockers and summoned her fire. She and the Avatar worked in tandem. Where the Kasumi came up short she picked up the slack, and vice versa. Eris fought with the fury of a fire bender and the strength of an Earthbender.

A chi-blocker snuck up on them. As if in slow motion she watched the man go for Kasumi and then Eris was in his way. She took the hit and felt numbness wash over her left shoulder; she couldn’t bend with that hand and could barely fight. She felt more blows come to her right as she threw herself yet again in front of the Avatar. The final blow hit her in the face. Black washed over her and she lost consciousness.

Eris woke up a little wile later, and felt fury and fear wash over her. They took the Avatar…she had failed at her mission. She sat
up and looked around hoping for some clue as to which way they went.

Rules:

1. Have Fun

This is one of the most important rules of them all. Don't be miserable and make others miserable. Roleplaying is about creating a story with other writers and having pure fun.

2. Respect

Please respect my decisions, roleplay and your fellow roleplayers. This is also one of the most important rules. I realize some characters won't get along, but don't make your character a bitch or a know-it-all. There is nothing more annoying. Also, please respect other people's characters.

3. Characters

Make your Character realistic and interesting, please. Also, if someone has submitted a character before you did, make sure you read over their character sheet before submitting your own, just to be sure that they are not similar. Benders and even The Avatar have weaknesses as well. Remember that. If you think anything different then this roleplay is not for you. Don't make your character one of those sad, wimpy types either those characters get boring really fast. I would love to have a few powerhouse characters but still, either they have a few flaws and weaknesses. And don't everyone make a female character please. Please use an anime pic or gif.

4. Character Sheets

Fill out all of the desired areas that have been provided please. And wherever you see where it says a required number of paragraphs, I really mean that required number of paragraphs.

5. PG-13

I am fine with a lot of things when it comes to swearing, gore and violence but when the clothes start coming off, fade to black or take it to the PMs. Also, since I don't know everyone else's limits, try not to be as descriptive with the gore, please.

6. Posting

This is a literate roleplay and I am expecting at least three paragraphs from each person. That means that I will accept anything close to three paragraphs. Please be able to post at least two to three times a week. If I am going to be gone for a minimum amount of time, I will let you know and please show us and me that same gratitude. Also, for you speed posters out there, please allow at least three people to post after your last post before posting again. If your character and another character is going to have a long ass conversation, please get together and do a collaboration post. Please be committed and active in both IC and OOC.

7. Reservations

You may reserve a character but I will only hold your spot for two days, which should give you plenty of time. If you need more, shoot me a PM and I will extend your reservation. Also, to reserve, put your favorite Avatar character somewhere visible so I know that you have also read the rules. Thanks.

8. Commitment

Also another important rule. If you are accepted then please don't post one, or two posts then disappear. Stick it out till the end or just don't join at all.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Is our air bender still in the game?

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Guys pleeassse don't let this die!

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

I will have a post up tonight. I apologize for the delay. I work and the weekend was family/wedding time. This next week will be busy for me as well. I'm turning 21 on the 10th and I have stuff i hae to get done. lol.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

I'll try to reply when I finish my schoolwork today.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

The Xue/Asad thing there was them venturing a few villages off and defeating the man who had framed Asad. It was a childhood friend of Xue's as well. They were able to prove Asad's innocence thanks to the help of Asad's friend, Bato, who was in the same order as him. Asad is no longer a wanted man, he and Xue got all fluffy for a little bit and now they're making their way back to the main party via Eel Hound.

Meanwhile, the Avatar was captured by Chi Blockers and our new weapons master busted in and rescued her.

I think that's about it..

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Okay so...I really wish i had time to read all that, and i definitely will once i do, but can someone just give me a quick recap and then ill post?

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

So uh. I'd like for someone to post before me, Orokay or not. Only because I technically made the last two posts in the RP and I don't want the entire thing to be one massive wall of my spam. Also, I'm Ren. Got a username change because why not? You can still call me Ren if you guys want.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Aha I know, I'm sorry. I don't mind waiting until tomorrow, I just thought since I was the last to 'post' during the adventure that it would be your turn.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Oh dear goodness, does it have to be me? I'm far too lazy to post after all that editing I did on our adventure. x-x I mean, I'll do it. But you might have to wait until tomorrow-ish.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Yeah, we can meet in the Earth Kingdom then. Ren, I think it's your turn to post. ^^

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

@Ren and Orokay I will read your guys epic post later but Fygg's character has already saved Kasumi but maybe our characters can meet up in the Earth Kingdom? Or what are your guys suggestions?

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

@Orokay Mush and fluff and blood and stuff.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

@Ren YESS! Our mush and epic fighting!

@Everyone Do you guys want Asad and Xue to meet up with your characters somewhere so Eris and Keirin can explain what happened to Kasumi. Then, they can all make a plan and go off to find her.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

New post is up!

Who is going to save the Avatar? Haha.

Note: They are keeping her in house in a wooded area nearby. :3

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Illusionist has to do it himself, unfortunately.

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Also, I accepted Fygg's awesome character but I can't figure out how to remove Illusionist's character(since I never had to do it before).

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

Internet is back up, RPGWrite is back up.. Let the good times roll, people!!

I will be posting a time skip and adding a little action into the mix. ;) Mwahahahaha!!

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

HUZZAH! RPGWrite is back up! Orokay, I got all of our progress! :D

Re: Avatar | The History That Was Forgotten

I'm still here, too. I'm just waiting for you guys to do the time skip so Ren and I can hop in.
