Avaria doesn't like to call herself beautiful, but people would often deny it. Her looks are very simple, but they are alluring in its own way. Strangers would also point out her water tribe features of dark hair and clear blue eyes that often have a tendency to go from a stormy grey to a clear sky blue (mainly representing her emotions, despite the fact her face rarely expresses any). However what makes her the odd one out is her oddly pale skin, since the water tribe are also known for their tan hue. Reasons for her difference is unknown but its believe to be due to the fact that she was restrained for a part of her life- causing her skin to fade. Fortunately it made her all the more stunning with the contrast of dark hair to light skin.
But no matter how eye catching she appears, her expression remains the opposite. She has a tendency to never express much anything but apathy. Some people read it as cluelessness, but her allies know better. Despite her usual looks, her thoughts are infinite, she is always calculating everything- ready for the unexpected. However every once in awhile, a small smile will slip through her set mask- often catching people by surprise for its rather charming. And to her only lover, her usually cold eyes will soften, for she find her guard slipping- she feels safe. Her age catches up to her. (picture at the left)
Now her physique is admirable, obviously because of the training, she holds a fit form- her limbs lean and her body taut. However one shouldn't ignore the femininity of her features, for her body still retains the curves any growing woman should have. But unlike many, she isnt overly busty just curvy enough where it could be called graceful.
Finally her wardrobe isn't diverse, especially with her disinterest in fashion, she sticks to outfits that didnt hinder her movements. However as she likes them fitting, she likes her clothes to be able to hide her scars- especially the one on her chest. Right over, under, and between her breast is a large scar shaped like an X and from closer inspection, inflicted by a sword much like her own... A nightmare of her past, thus she is sometimes seen in turtle necks during midsummer.

| Stoic | Tranquil | Steadfast | Kind | Protective | Mysterious |

Calm Waters - Avaria is usually in this state of calm, which is where she gets the trait "stoic" or "stead fast" sometimes even tranquil. People of the village also like to point out how "favorable" it makes her appear due to the views on a "perfect" women of being quiet. However she is more then just "quiet", since she shows little to to no emotion but apathy (she is hard to irk as well) Nothing seems to startle, irk, or disturb her in her everyday life- even through intense pain, her profile will only slightly tighten and twist. This little indications of emotions also expand to other feelings as well, for she'll flash a few smiles here and there, if not tears of anger or sadness. They are fleeting however, so the sightings are indeed classified as rare. But dont mistake her to be mean, in fact, many children who she has the chance to meet love her, since her tranquility and kind actions seem to draw people in, including adults. Anywho, from the views of strangers, Avaria may seem like a favorable women, not only due to her quiet nature, but apparent "ignorance". Basically her apathetic expressions are mistaken for stupidity but how wrong they are, for Avara never stops thinking- she is always prepared, resulting in her peaceful temper.
The Storm - With her calm personality- Avaria is always the last one out of the group to fear, but they are very wrong. Indeed she is usually kind and steady headed, but its just the calm before the storm. Her anger is feared among those who have seen it and now often avoided from friends and enemies alike. To describe her fury would be comparing it to a storm- pelting rain that continues to hit, never giving in, letting everything loose at once, but still remaining quiet with only a rumble. Its only when she reaches a final stage of "pissed off" that the lightning and thunder starts to strike, and her silent anger (like a parent reprimanding a child) is gone and she is completely different then how she usually acts- taking everyone by surprise.

Q U I R K S
  • she cleans her katana out of comfort - The sword was a gift from her old family, and the symbols on them read a little message of love and protection.. so she wishes to always keep the blade clean of any rust or blood.
  • She tends to daze off when it starts to rain - The sound of rain hitting the floor comforts her... reminds her of home.
  • Avaria rarely expresses anything, so her emotions are rare and fleeting - If anyone knows her, they would know this.
  • Has a sort of affection for children and tends to drop her mature wall- often found dancing for them - As a child, she enjoyed her parents forms of play, like dancing or singing... so for those children she see that lack such joys and spoils.. she tries her best to provide. She finds that it brings much hope and happiness to the younglings that have so little.

S K I L L S
  • Water bending - A prodigy as a child, she has already been advance in bending longer before many others, but she doesn't stop, and continues to train to almost seemingly perfect the skill. Nevertheless she is humble about her powers and tends to use her combat skills or swordmanship instead.
  • Hand to Hand combat - Taught as a child, along with the basics of dancing and bending, she is quite good especially because her frame is small and nimble- she is quick and hard to touch, but her lean body backs a punch.
  • Swordsmanship - Another hobby she was taught as a child by her father, mainly to defend herself when water wasnt available. Her swordsmanship is way more skilled then her combat skill and almost at par with her bending.
  • Agility // Flexibility - Being a female is one thing, with her body being flexible and agile.
  • Hiding her emotions - Obviously, its a habit of hers growing up and she always seems to be apathetic about everything in a way.
  • Entertainment - As a sort of traveling form of entertainment for nobles of sorts, she advanced her already existing knowledge of cultural dance or art (taught by her mother) to impress these viewers much at the slave masters joy. As a result her dancing and serving skills are admirable in many ways- many servants at the palace have little on her, however this is a secret.

"Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.

The Northern Water Tribe

H I S T O R Y
Avaria was born in the land of waters- specifically in the northern tribes. Here she was loved by a mother and father that would do anything to keep their child safe, and she too, looked at her parents with such love. It was only till she was ripped away from the ones she cared for by a group of thieves, who were comparable to slave drivers. Their motives were small, along with their plunder, so she was one of the few to be taken. Reason being was because of Avaria's unique looks- dark blue hair that appears almost like the ocean, with pale snow like skin to match with crystal blue eyes, they believed that she would fetch a hefty price. So at the age of 8, she was shipped all around the world, going from place to place, mainly to entertain her guest and viewers with her prodigious like and growing skills of water bending along with dance (and other traditional forms of entertainment). This was her life for two years, and during this time, she felt no love, only lonlieness. After each show was over, she was ripped out of her fine outfits and jewels before being thrown back into the cages. Avaria protested at first, sure, but her quiet nature only became a disadvantage and it became worse thus her apathetic expression came to be- from her tiredness of such trips.
However at the age of 10, she was forcibly sold off to a new group, the fire nation. There she was claimed again as their water bender, and there she was trapped once more. Of course, Avaria didnt mind, or more specifically, didnt care- it was just how life was for her now. However, it was when she met other trapped benders that she began to open up more. She found them relatable, and almost like family (for she truly desired some) and as a result, her once loveless body began to grow protective over these groups of blessed benders.. They became the object of her motivation.. so she grew stronger and kinder..Even more so when she fell in love with one of the them- the fire lords son.
Now she hopes that her training paid off, and that she'll be able to express her love for them through her strength.

Nani stood, his nerves taunt as he waited for Avaria. He was on time that day for once and it was wonderful. Nani looked around not to see her only to have his friends who knew who Nani was looking for shrug in their not knowing where she was. Nani frowned slightly though his face lost all expression as his father entered.

Everyone bowed as he walked. "Aonani Eian, stop standing there like a lost puppy and take your seat before I do something about it," The fire lord whispered quietly so only Nani heard him. Nani ducked his head and said softly, "Sorry my lord, I was merely worried I forgot something." Nani stated. He turned to his father, bowing as everyone else was before standing upright and stepping into the hall. His father took his seat and everyone moved back from their bow at a wave of the fire lord's hand.

Nani leaned against the wall and sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. He hated when his father did that. It was only a display of his power over Nani and everyone already knew that. Nani breathed deeply, praying Avaria made it on time, lest his father find the bright idea to punish either one of them since he was acting as the one who had requested her service prior and immediately after the ceremony so she would have to stand near him.

Aonani looked into a nearby mirror as he stood outside. He noticed the purple bruise on his cheekbone as if it was one of the special powders that women wore as make up. He hated it but couldn't very well hide that one like he could the ones on his sides and stomach. Those were only ever seen by his servants who knew better than to ask and his father who was often the cause of a good deal of them.

Nani turned as he heard Avaria and smiled at her. Nani stood up straight as she approached. Had they been in a more private setting, he would have wrapped his arms around her. Instead, he gave her a slight bow before standing straight up again.

Nani didn't look from Avaria's face, sure that if he did, he would lose all sense of composure and he would not be able to regain it. "You had me worried. I thought he had changed his mind and did something," Nani whispered to Avaria softly so only she would hear. Only those who didn't know the two would believe they were standing a little too close ever since Nani took a small step to make the distance even less.

"Believe it or not, I was on time for once," Nani whispered with a gleeful smile though he didn't say why he was on time. He would be on time to keep Haruki from getting hurt. He was not going to risk having his friends hurt. Regardless of what others seemed to think of Nani, he wasn't one to let others suffer for his own actions.

"Yes, you may, and to be honest, I'm counting on it now," Nani stated softly as he looked down at her, noticing the smile as if she had outright shouted she was happy. Nani took her hand in his and gave a small squeeze before dropping it and walking back into the room. To his dismay, Eris, Sicca, and the others with them had already arrived and were about to enter the room.

Nani walked with purpose to his seat, as if meaning to do what he did. His father gave him a look that said they'd "talk" later. Nani pretended to not see it though he saw the ash rise in heat and Nani knew it was going to happen regardless.

Nani took his seat, pretending that Avaria wasn't beside him and didn't have an reason to be looked at. He managed to keep most of the stiffness from his body as he moved, aching all over from the night before. He prayed to the spirits that Avaria didn't see it though, she didn't need that. He hated it, but he knew that if he didn't, his father might do something stupid or ridiculous.

As Eris entered, Nani watched, his eyes showing how he bored the matter though he refused the urge to glance at Avaria. As the fire lord was spoken to, he stared back at the guests as if he couldn't care less about who was before him, though he did at least have the courtesy to not look bored like his son.

Nani looked to Eris as she spoke his name, hating the full name. Nani noticed the coldness and exchanged them with a cold smile of his own, playing the game of politics he had played all his life. He really only wanted to heat his hands and fight her, he could possibly take her, but Nani didn't dare. He would only be put down by whichever other general decided to take him. He'd probably end up getting taken to the Supreme just because of his luck.

The fire lord's response was as enthusiastic as a squished bugs. "It is an honor to welcome you to our palace. Thank you for joining us. We do have much to discuss, yet first, we must celebrate your arrival. Please, enjoy exploring the palace at your leisure until the grand dinner we are holding for you tonight. Should you need anything, our slaves and servants are your own. My son is also available to guide you should you so please," the fire lord stated stoically.

Nani bit back his response, only clenching his fists in an indication he was unhappy with the statement. Hopefully, neither Eris nor Sicca would want him to guide him.

"I shall see you tonight," The fire lord stated before standing. He looked to Nani. "You are to be sure our guests are not spared any luxury," The fire lord stated. Nani looked up at him and only gave a subtle nod after he saw his father's fury mount in his eyes.

The fire lord scowled at his son before leaving the room without a second glance to the new guests. Nani stood as well and motioned for everyone who had still been kneeling ever since the generals arrived. Nani approached the generals hoping and not hoping Avaria followed him at the same time. Hoping so she would be closer to him, not hoping so she would not draw any attention to herself, though Nani would not control her or her actions.

"Should you need anything, please inform me. Tonight, one of the servants who helps prepare you for the dinner shall guide you to your seats. Is there anything you need as of right now?"
Nani asked softly with a small bow. It was evident in his tone that he really had no wish to help them and that he couldn't care less what they did though his features showed nothing but the political facade that was required between royalty and the military in their new world.

Feeling his warmth, even for a fleeting moment, made her happy, thus Avaria's eyes gleamed with love, but concealed worry and guilt filled her being. 'Its my fault he might get in trouble..' She thought, as she followed diligently behind like a slave should, 'If only I was more humble..' Guilt ate at her mind, as she remembered her desire to look better- how foolish. A breathless apology escaped her lips, before she slipped into the destined room, silent. Her eyes were focused solely on the Prince's shoes as she used them to guide her to their seats, but as she did so, she saw the two "honored" guest in her peripheral. 'The generals..' She thought, carefully analyzing the situation as best as she could while she took her seat behind Nani. Now it wasn't hard to tell, in fact her body felt it- 'These people are dangerous.'
Their auras screamed power, similar to that of the fire lord... It made her body tense, her guard up. It was moments like these when she wished her katana was by her side... Avaria felt so vulnerable, but... Her clear eyes peeked at the prince's back, causing her body to relax... 'Yes.. his Aura is definitely different..' It was strong, and kind- very comforting...
Taking a quiet breath, she continued to remained situated as a statue, like she was told to.

Image

Eris resisted a snicker as the "oh so great" prince entered- his response excellent. So much so, that it made her wishes to continue the torture grow stronger but fortunatly enough, with the little sanity she had left, she decided not too- for now that is.

My son is also available to guide you should you so please,"

ImageShe smiled, "grateful", at his "kind" words, but she knew better- they all did. "Thank you Firelord." She bowed her head in respect, merely playing her part, "We humbly appreciate your offer." While she finished her sentence, her eyes found Nani's and for a moment, a menacing smirk pulled at her lips, before returning to its kind smile. "Now I would love to explore this lovely palace even further.." Her words lingered, an obvious intent filling her words, "Hopefully your son doesn't mind the request, but whats better then the resident himself to be our very own guide~" Her eyes closed in a smile, "We are in your care, Prince Eian"

What fun she will have~!

Nani found himself wanting to stand and just leave though he felt Avaria's closeness even if she was a small distance from him. He had really wanted to be able to just keep her from coming to the welcoming ceremony all together but in the end, it wasn't able to happen since the demon he was supposed to call a father made him.

Nani knew he was treading on dangerous ground, knew he was likely to do something really stupid or say something even stupider, but to be honest, he really didn't care. He wanted to get these generals away from his friends that were in his room, especially Avaria. She had to leave before either general took an interest in her.

Nani gave the fakest royal smile he could to Eris as she asked him to assist in the tour. He knew that she was only trying to mess with his head or something. There were plenty of other residences to carry them throughout the palace and plenty who knew the palace better than Nani did since he was constantly trying to get out and away from it.

After Nani's formal offer and his standing before Eris and his bow and all, Nani stood, finding he wanted to change out of his formal attire more than getting away from Eris. It was so uncomfortable. "Shall we move to the gardens?" Nani asked, finding it was the nicest place that he would relax in without showing Eris his favorite place.

Nani turned to Avaria, giving her a nod and a little look, hoping she would take it as a dismissal since he couldn't outwardly say it. Princes normally had an entourage and he hated having one, yet if he could have her say she was busy... She could go. He could let her go. He pleaded with his eyes before turning from her, not looking back as he led the way, trying to avoid conversation and praying that Avaria took his silent prayer to heart.

Nani led the group down two hallways before emerging into the beautiful gardens Nani had grown up in. "We have small turtle ducks here that visit on occasion at their leisure. Is there anywhere else you would like to visit?" Nani asked as he leaned against a large boulder and tugged at his too tight collar. He stopped messing with it when he saw the bandages he wore beneath. They covered the symbol that had appeared on his chest back when he first fire bended. It was small and slightly red though he knew Avaria's to be slightly blue for whatever reason. Possibly their element?

Nani dropped his hand, trying to act nonchalant as he studied Eris with obvious disinterest though on the inside he was beating with energy. She wasn't going to hurt him, at least he was pretty sure she wasn't going to hurt him. Dekam wouldn't be upset if she did hurt him though... Nani sighed as he looked up at her and pretended to smile like he cared though the fakeness was very obviously seen through, as if he had a new attitude about the thing after some thought though it was clear he didn't.

Nani was now leaning on the boulder with his arms crossed as he waited for a response. She could do so many things that he couldn't. Deadly and dangerous too. Will bending was so horrible.

Tonrar was rather impressed by his daughter's attack. He was quite amused when the ice started to creep up his body, and encase him. He gave no reaction other than a slight giggle. When Naomi left the dias to regroup with the blessed airbender he broke free of his entrapment with little effort. He doubled over, and began laughing uncontrolably. He shot up with his arms held out wide, and laughed even louder. He watched as his gravity bending general stopped Naomi in her tracks, trying to get her to surrender peacefully. Adorable, absolutely adorable. He watched the chaos unfold, growing even more giddy.

Seok was barely holding it together, geting wounds left, and right from his eshaustion. He saw the general stop Naomi in her tracks, and he grew angry. He began pulling up rock slabs from the ground, launching various soldiers high in the air. He jumped forward a bit, and stabbed his hand into the ground, causing a line of twisted rock columns to propel forward, and divide Naomi from the general. Seok stood up, and sighed, sweat began to roll off his forehead. "You sure know how to welcome a guy back in town Naomi." He huffed at her.

Seok's blessed mark could clearly be seen at this point. He swiped his arms towards the general, sending one of the columns straight at his chest. "I hope you had a plan on getting out of here! Me, and my.....friend need to leave." He said pointing towards Hyo. "We need to get her out of here. I'll explain later, but she can't stay, none of us can." He ordered at her. Tonrar stepped off the stage, and strolled over towards them. Seok saw this, and sighed. "I...I can whip us up some cover, if you can lead us out of here. I don't have the energy for a third round."

"Leaving so soon? And without a kiss goodbye? I'm hurt." Tonrar smirked as he skipped through the battlefield without a care in the world. Seok glared daggers at the Supreme Faceless One. "Right, because everything that's happen here in the last twenty minutes have shown that we care if you're hurt or not." He smirked with a slight laugh. Seok stood ready in his fighting position. Though he was running on empty, he'd still go at him with all he had left, no matter how little that was. "Please boy. Like you could beat me even on your best day. Besides I don't want to kill you, that'd be too boring."

Seok rolled his eyes, and stomped on the ground, bringing up another slab of rock. He fired it at him, but this time his attack was rather weak, and sluggish. It showed his exhaustion. It was easily dodged by Tonrar. Seok almost fell over from making the motions of his attack. "Wow, I really felt that one." Tonrar smirked, followed by his renewed laughter. "I'm open to ideas. Seriously, I'm up for anything." Seok huffed. "You could just stop fighting, and enjoy your eventual never ending torture." Tonrar suggested. "No one's talking to you!"

Qannik stood in the palace next to Eris as they were taken to the throne room, and before the Fire Lord. Pfft, Fire Lord, he was merely a puppet. Qannik gave the Fire Lord a slight bow when Eris did, but it was more for formality rather then actual respect. "Yeah, sure, we're ohhhh so grateful." He said rather disinterested in everything. He rolled his eyes as Eris spoke. "You are such a kiss ass. I hope you know that." He whispered in her ear. "Sure, let's take a tour. It's not like some of us have something better to do." He stated, followed by a quick glance at Eris, obviously directing his comment towards her.

He noticed the looks Nani was giving one of his servents, and looked at them with a slightly raised eyebrow. As the Prince began their tour, Qannik flashed a wolfish grin to the servent Nani was making strange looks at, and followed it with a wink. He followed behind the Prince as he led them to the garden. He looked around rather disinterested in everything the Prince was saying, and showing them. He couldn't careless about all this.

When the Prince asked if they'd like to go anywhere else his wolfish grin returned on his face in full force. "What about that cute water tribe servent from the throne room? What's she up to? I do like a little tail from the poles." He said with a rather proud grin on his face. "I'm assuming she's water tribe, I have an eye for my own." He then folded his arms, and continued to grin. "But I'm guessing the brown-noser here as somewhere else she'd rather see so she can fakely complament it to try, and make herself look better."

Naomi could not do anything more upon getting hit except fall to the ground. She groaned softly as she lay there for a moment before hearing the most terrifying thing ever. A scream. From the girl who was with Seok. Naomi watched from where she was as the general Tobimasu, apparently alright, pulled his sword from the girl's stomach.

Naomi froze as she watched the girl's body fall and knew immediately things had gone from bad to worse. She watched as the girl's blood spread out before something unexpected did happen. A slightly blue aura like thing flew from the girl's body, circling overhead the crowd before diving towards Naomi. She wasn't sure what it was and wanted to roll away, but refrained from doing so for fear of getting trampled or hit again.

Naomi did cover her face with her arms as the aura flew straight into her giving Naomi a warm feeling flowing through her. Strength washed through Naomi and she felt something she had never felt before. A whisper in her ear told her what to do and she obeyed, unsure what else to do. Her body rose and she knew it was because of air bending. Her own air bending.

Naomi looked down at her father, but it wasn't just her eyes she felt. It felt as if hundreds of eyes were looking with her. Naomi raised her hands and she bended. A wave of wind blew every soldier by her father away, scattering them onto the nearby rooftops and the alleys. She turned to where Haru was surrounded and in a moment, every soldier around Haru was gone, scattered again.

Naomi then turned to Seok, bending the general from his hands and sending the gravity bending general into her father. Naomi reached with her air bending, grabbing those who had fought with her that day and speeding them all off away from her father and the gravity bending general. When they were a few hundred feet from the inner wall, she gently set down those with her before falling to the ground, passed out from exhaustion. As she went unconscious though, she heard a whisper in her ear, saying I give my abilities to you so that you might do what I could not.

A few minutes pass before the fire bender from the resistance emerged from a home and gestured frantically to Haru. "Come on, get off the street," the bender gestures frantically. He sees the body and stills his frantic gesturing before gaining a steely resolve and looking to Seok, knowing he was the one with Hyo. "I can carry her if you'd rather," He states softly. He waits for a response, doing as asked or told, then goes inside to lead the group underground to safety.

Nani lost his temper. He knew he did as soon as he snapped. He would have hit Qannik had it not been for Uruki who grabbed Nani at the last second. Uruki was stronger for whatever reason and pushed Nani back. Nani didn't look at him as he pushed back until he heard Uruki's words, "Prince Nani if you don't stop they'll only hurt her."

Nani heard that and his movements froze. He looked to Uruki who let him go slowly. "Thank you, you are free to go," Nani stated, his calm returning. He made sure to give Uruki a pointed look so his friend would know to get out of there quickly before he drew attention to himself.

Uruki left with a bow to the generals leaving Nani there looking down. He knew he had given them what they wanted. He had done exactly that. At least he hadn't screamed bloody murder. Avaria would be disappointed in him probably. He only drew more attention to her from his reaction.

He looked up, crossing his arms again before giving the generals a blank look. "I'm done," Is all he says as he looks at the two giving a clear indication he was not wanting to do the tour anymore. He looked past the generals to the path that led away from the gardens. He had stupidly put himself in a corner that's only other exit led to the servants quarters and as much as Nani wouldn't mind going there, he refused to show the two generals where it was should they decide they're bored or something.

"Step aside," He orders simply, giving no sway in his voice and keeping an air of confidence and authority.

"You are such a kiss ass. I hope you know that." Her eyes followed his, as he walked past and she merely smiled as she did seconds before. His words meant nothing to her, why? Well she did kill people for fun, so how does it make sense if she got offended with childish remarks such as his. With a light giggle, she quickly followed the two, while glancing at the water bender who decided to stay behind. 'hm~?'
That girl might be of some use later. And it seems Qannik had the same idea. "What about that cute water tribe servent from the throne room? What's she up to? I do like a little tail from the poles." 'Way to push his buttons.' Eris thought musingly, keeping her eyes onto the Prince's reaction. It was obvious of his feelings, and she would love to see his range of control- perhaps he'll snap~? But much to her disappointment, his servant was there to check his temper and he immeditaly seemed to calm down. "How boring." she slurred in a low whisper, watching him walking away, with a laugh inducing "pride."
"Step aside?" She repeated, her smile becoming more and more chesire like, "But..." Her fingers twitched, and within seconds, the water bender stepped into the room, her eyes filled with frustration and anger. "your little water bender just decided to join the party, it would be a shame for you to leave." Avaria stepped toward them, while doing so, her reluctancy was evident as her steps were rigid and slow- she was fighting hard. "Perhaps we will have our fun with her? Its boring by ourselves..~" Eris's lips licked her lips, while her eyes searched for something that reflected anger, frustration, and even better, helplessness...
But it was seconds later when she swiped her hand, releasing the bender from her grasp, 'I can't get him too riled up.. not yet at least.' They had so much more in stock, so for now, she'll let him have his moment of peace...~
"heh~ just kidding."

Avaria watched the group leave, curious if she should follow, but decided not to since she didnt want to be a burden to Nani... She already was a few moments ago, and she didnt want to make the same mistake.
So slowly standing up from her seat in the front, she made her way towards the servant quarters, only to freeze.
'huh..' Her eyes widended. 'I... cant..?' Her muscles were taut, as if she was made out of wood until suddenly, she began to quickly walk towards the groups direction- the garden.
It only took a few seconds for Avaria to figure out what was happening, and the blue haired general did not leave her mind. Her lips tightened, 'Hope Nani is alright.'
She didnt want him to blow a fuse. Not because of her. It was when she arrived that she relaxed, Nani seemed... calm enough, or at least, enough not to snap upon the generals.. And speaking of generals..
"your little water bender just decided to join the party, it would be a shame for you to leave." She unconsciously glared, while rigidly walking towards their sides..
She could barely keep her control up, and she was lucky that she wasnt loosing it.
This women... truly wasn't all bark.. "heh~ just kidding." Feeling her body return to her, Avaria quickly found herself at Nani's side, both tense and comforted by his mere presence.
"Nani..."

Nani kept his eyes fixed on a certain point in the distance. He couldn’t look at them. He had to get his uniform off and wander around the town or something. Anything to get out of the tension filled palace. He wanted to run between the two but if he did, they’d have a reason to fight him and he was not able to fight either general without using bending and that was out of the question entirely.

He heard her complain of how boring the situation just became and breathed deeply to keep from looking at her. Nani caught the twitch of her fingers barely and knew something’s wrong. He looked to her eyes just as Avaria walked in. His stomach dropped. Uruki had been right.

”Let her go,” Nani breathed as he looked to Avaria with apology and nervousness. Eris was known for her sadistic nature. She would enjoy hurting Avaria probably. Was probably savoring Nani’s fear for her.

Eris called Avaria a water bender and Nani felt the air leave his lungs. Did she really know? How could she tell? If she could, did she know of Nani too? He looked to her, his face one of concern, silently asking her if something had happened.

Avaria was struggling but Eris’s control was incredible. Nani moved towards Avaria, not sure what he could do but feeling like if he was next to her, she’d be alright somehow. Nani wanted to shout, wanted to lose his temper again at Eris’s words, but he focused on Avaria’s eyes and managed to keep it within, his concern for her more than his anger at Eris. ”Please let her go,” He whispers as he looks at Avaria.

Eric released Avaria a moment or so later and Nani heard her just kidding. That means she doesn’t know Avaria truly is a bender. She was only teasing him to rile him up. He hated her more so than ever before now. Avaria came closer when she was released and Nani took her hand before giving Eris and Qannik a look of hate and leaving with Avaria.

He pulled her along, not letting her go as they walked quickly away from those that wanted to hurt him and her. ”I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t tried to keep you as far from my father as possible they wouldn’t have taken such an interest in you,” Nani apologizes as he walks through the servants quarters to the back door. Many nodded or greeted him and he waved back but wasn’t saying much in his guilt and frustration. He rips off his armor top, tossing it on Uruki’s bed as he passes it. He hated to burden his friend but the thing was stifling.

Nani pauses, looking at Avaria. ”Listen, tonight… I think I need to go to the tournament to see if I can get anything. We need to get you a place to stay somewhere in the city until they leave,”
Nani suggests very quietly, taking her other hand in his as he hopes she will allow him to do it. He wasn’t sure she would do it, but by asking at least he would feel better. He told her of the tournament that night in case she wanted to go with him though she knew he didn’t like when she came since he couldn’t keep an eye on her.

”I’m sorry… You know they rile me up and I act like this when generals are here,” Nani explains softly, guilty by his actions. He hated acting so jumpy. He took a breath and tried to relax but it was clear he was still struggling to regain all of his control. He looked to Avaria for help or advice, needing her anchor more than ever.

Avaria glanced down at the interlocked hands, before watching the intereaction cautiously. She tensed, if only she could bend... or at least have her katana.. but all of it has been confiscated by the kingdom. She has been reduced to a useless servant, who couldn't even protect her lover.
She felt her heart drop, but she was willing to give her life for Nani.. Luckily, she didnt have to today, for they got away without a fight.

Trailing behind him, their hands holding each other, desperatly not wanting to loose each other..

”I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t tried to keep you as far from my father as possible they wouldn’t have taken such an interest in you,” She shook her head slowly, "No... no it isnt.." She lowered her head, feeling immense shame. 'Its my fault by being with you..' Avaria thought in secret, but immediately pushed the vile notion away. 'No. No. I love him.'

Her eyes shined with a reawaken determination. Lifting her head, her eyes met his. ”Listen, tonight… I think I need to go to the tournament to see if I can get anything. We need to get you a place to stay somewhere in the city until they leave,” Her usual stoic face seemed to convey surprise, and before she could even protest, he took her hands in his- she felt her legs weaken. ”I’m sorry… You know they rile me up and I act like this when generals are here,” And the look Nani was holding made her heart drop, and surprisingly, her eyes watered. But they still had a burning fire that made things seem okay, slowly collecting her thoughts, she spoke in a soft, but serious voice.

"Nani... I will be going with you, I dont want to be separated." She paused, "I dont trust anyone to protect me, more than you, and I dont trust you with anyone else either." With her next words, a gentle, and loving smile pulled at her lips, "Everything will be okay Nani, as long as we have each other.." Leaning in, she gave a lasting kiss, before backing away, "I'm stronger than you think."

Nani sighed as he looked around. The other servants were polite as they pretended not to notice their presence. Most servants knew of the relationship, but pretended they didn't see it as it only brought more attention where Nani didn't want attention. He just didn't want attention from certain people such as his father since he never gave good attention whatsoever, regardless of what he had heard.

Nani watched her face as he waited for her response. He couldn't read her expression though and he looked down at where he held her hands, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. He wanted to pull her in and go to Uruki's bed and just take a nap. It sounded amazing. They wouldn't, they couldn't, but he wanted to desperately to attempt to relax and find peace. But it wasn't the time. Or the place.

She was surprised when he told her of the tournament that night. He leaned in just so he would be closer to her but didn't get too close. He had so much to be concerned about. His last tournament had gone somewhat well. His opponent got mad and when Nani's back was turned, he got burned badly. It had hurt, but it hadn't been unbearable.

Dani looked at Avaria as she spoke, giving her a small smile. "Don't say that... I mean... You now I can only do so much Avaria. You know I would never let anyone hurt you... And," Nani stopped when Avaria smiled and he lost his train of thought and any words that might have come to mind at all. He looks down, blinking to try and regain his thought and self.

She spoke and he was nodding, not looking up as he just agreed, thankful to hear the words. He didn't even realize she was kissing him until she was there. His breath caught and he kissed back, then all of a sudden she was gone and he wanted her closer again but she wasn't there. "It's not you who I fear isn't strong, Avaria.. But come with me tonight and you can stand with Uruki maybe," Nani decided confidently though he didn't feel it entirely. If they were caught, they'd be taken prisoner and probably executed in public. Nani was not going to allow that to happen though no matter what.

Nani took a breath. He hated when he wasn't as confident as he pretended to be. He took another breath before giving Avaria a hug. One that told her all that she meant to him and what she did for him. He let her go before looking down at her. "Meet me tonight out at the outer garden's wall. I'll see you then," He stated with a smile before walking away, looking back as long as he could before he turned the corner. He leaned against the wall and ran a hand through his hair. If he wasn't careful, everything that he cared about would disappear.

Nani moved quickly. He wore a pair of pants Uruki let him borrow along with a vest under a dark cloak. His boots made little sound as he walked down the hall with the hood off but the cloak closed. If guards saw him as he was, they wouldn't think anything of it, but if they saw what he wore beneath, they might grow suspicious and his father was anything but forgiving for suspicious actions.

One guard saw him and gave a nod before moving on. Nani walked quickly before making it outside. He went without light for if he was seen bending a small flame to see, he could get caught. He moved to stand under the tree he and Avaria had met under multiple times. He pulled up his hood, leaning against the wall to blend into the shadows as he waited for her, more like anticipated her arrival.
