Hebi || It means 'Snake' and the only person who calls him this is Sicca. The fool of a boy said Dekam had reminded him of a snake that had bitten him once on he leg, especially his eyes and behavior.
Fire Lord Eian/Lord || A title bestowed upon him when he was only Nineteen years old
Father || Now this is a title he truly regrets, mostly coming from the mouth of his only son Aonani. But it's still the only name Aonani is to address Dekam by, he'd rather not be disrespected in his own home and/or kingdom.

PERSONALITY
      ✦ Fearless ✧ Persuasive ✦ Conceited ✧ Brutal ✦

Dekam is an ambitious and vile human being, he almost crosses the boundary between Man and Beast, and with no consideration for other people he finds himself lacking honest company. Believing himself to be feared by most people he often times argues that he himself has no fear but this is only something he believes. Being a conceited gentleman with a thirst for blood often times makes a person blind to their own faults. According to Dekam he has none, not a single one and if someone was to point out the reality of it, that he did have weaknesses they might as well be asking for an early funeral. Dekam enjoys other's suffering, he isn't power hungry and he doesn't really care much for being in control of the whole fire nation but he does like bloodshed and violence. Though he only mistreats those who don't bore him and loves killing those who're interesting to him. Dekam wouldn't call himself a sociopath or a psycho, he really doesn't have any qualities of those two other than his narcissism. He consider's himself hot-tempered and inconsiderate, not a maniac. But this is only his own opinion, others might have a different answer to this.

Violence is more of an instinct to him, nowadays he hardly bothers to settle matter's with words when he can easily make everything go away with his fists. Besides, to him it's much more fun to get into fights. He finds pleasure in causing people grief and suffering but this side of him rarely comes out into public. Only the one's whole truly knew his character well would know this side of him. In the public's eye he is just a quiet older male who smiles from time to time. Keeping up an appearance to his people is somewhat important to him, making them believe he isn't a bad guy is a tactic to ensure that their are no rebellions and that no one questions his ordered arrests. Dekam has somewhat of a charm with the ladies and men of the fire nation, him being a man of few words and beauty has made him popular with his people. Only those who aren't complete idiots know something is up with their fire lord and are smart enough to keep their opinions to themselves. Dekam's also a master of persuasion and deceit, he can lie with a straight face. He uses others to advance himself further and can easily put on a facade when he wishes. He's an intelligent guy with a big ego, a bad combination especially when his hubris is his downfall.

LIKES
✦Reading - As a child he grew up reading for the most part, even his time in prison was spent reading material. Dekam enjoys reading all together, no matter the type of material.
✧Blood - Everything about blood gives this man chills, it literally takes him out of his usually composed nature and reveals the more Beastly & Dark side of him.
✦Execution Day - It brings a fondness to his day when word of an execution spread's through the fire nation. He rarely gets to shed the blood himself when an execution is in order but sometimes he is granted the permission to do so like when he executed Aonani's master. Even when he's not executing someone personally it is still enjoyable to watch his son become engulfed with disgust at him as another life is taken by his orders.
✧Alcohol - Dekam isn't an alcoholic but he wishes he was one. Spending all his days drinking alcohol sounds like heaven to him but alas he knows he has duties and keeps drinking as a nice hobby for him to do at times.
✦Board Games - Dekam loves playing mind puzzling games that get the brain working, he doesn't mind if he loses or wins as long as he learns from the experience of the game. He surprisingly loves playing board games with Aonani, it reminds him of the times when his son was still a small child and becoming frustrated at Dekam because he couldn't beat his father. At those times he'd allow Aonani to beat him the next match and then watch the boy celebrate as he asked for another go.

DISLIKES
✦His Son - Dekam wouldn't say he hates Aonani but he very much dislikes the boy after seeing how he turned up over the years. Dekam never raised him to be the 'Hero Type' but that's how the boy turned out to his dismay.
✧Rain - Not only does it cause his ash bending to become useless, it also makes his hair wet and unbearable. Dekam hates getting his hair wet when it doesn't include showering or bathing.
✦Scent of Burning Flesh - He has made others parish for many years, killing them with his own hands or by simple words and has loved it but he absolutely hates the smell of burning flesh. It disgusts him and even after so many years dealing with the smell he still hates it.
✧Heroes - This type of character really repulses Dekam, from their kind hearts to their willingness to fight for others. Dekam hates those type of people, he believes they're unrealistic and delusional. It reminds him of his own father and twin brothers, now Nani is following after them.
✦Tea - It's either disgusting, it has no taste, or it's boring. That's it and he will never like any kind of tea or so he believes.

✦Ash Bending - Dekam is a master of ash bending, he is able to use ash to burn as well as form solid materials such as to use it as a weapon for example. Fire isn't the only thing that burns, ash burns victims just as good as fire can. Dekam covers hardened ash on his hands when in close combat with others, the ash burns him as much as it burns his victims so he has to be careful at times when covering the ash on his own skin.
✧Endurance - He can withstand anything thrown his way, be it physical or emotional suffering. He is stubborn and won't give way easily. One of the very few things that make him and his son similar.
✦Illusion - Dekam is able to create illusions by manipulating the ash around him. It's effectiveness depends on the person and their own keen senses. For example it's possible for any of the generals to be fooled by the illusion as well as to see right through them, it isn't about strength in this matter. It's about deception and whether or not the victim can sense reality from illusions.

Q U I R K S
✦"Ashes ashes, they all fall down" - It's become a habit of his to say this when either ending a life or using his bending against another. It's very unsettling to witness him at this point because he shows his true colors and doesn't hold anything back.
✧Plants - Dekam has a garden of exactly one flytrap. It's a carnivore plant and they can grow to be as tall as a human being but his plant is not quite there yet. He keeps it in his own quarters and waters as well as giving it sunlight everyday.
✦Hands - Dekam has a series of small burns on his hands and because of this he wears gloves, he doesn't ever show the burn marks to others when he can help it.

W E A K N E S S E S
✦Blood Lust - Sometimes in the heat of the moment when he's in battle he doesn't make the most wise decisions. Dekam's thirst for blood sometimes blinds him and makes him lose his ability to think practically.
✧Rash Nature - Dekam isn't the most sensible person when he's dealing with his own emotions and it honestly get's in the way of his duties at times. He's intelligent and tries to think before he acts but it's futile when his emotions start getting involved.
✦Fearless - Dekam often times runs towards threats or danger, it causes him a lot of problems for himself. He doesn't like to think he is afraid of anything and likes to present himself as such.

BIRTH PLACE
      Fire Nation

BIO
Dekam's father, the fire lord before him, was an honest and good man for the most part. His father had grown up learning and preparing to take care of his people and the kingdom, the whole nation was family in his eyes. If the man had any regret's in his life it would be that he'd wish he hadn't let his own family push him into marriage with a woman he never truly loved. She was the daughter of a noble and loved the fire lord. But not for the right reasons, she loved the power he had and the power she was granted by becoming the fire lord's wife. Together the fire lord and that woman had twin boys, both fire bender's like their father. They were truly good children, both hard working and had a kind passion to help those in need like their father had taught them. It was an ideal family and the nation couldn't have been more happier with their leader. It wasn't until Dekam appeared in the palace that things became strange.

Dekam was the son of the fire lord, he was his own flesh and blood but he wasn't related to the fire lord's wife in any way. Dekam was the product of an affair, his own mother was a childhood friend of the fire lord. The fire lord had loved her since he was young but she was just a servant's daughter who became a servant herself and they couldn't be together. They were of two different classes and the fire lord was too much of a coward to disappoint his parents by marrying a servant. Once Dekam was born he was kept away from his father for the most part, his mother didn't want anyone recognizing the similar facial features. But for the most part she feared the fire lord's wife, truly a cruel woman who knew more about Dekam than she lead on. The boy grew up living with his mother in a small home where the servants of the palace were housed. He went out only with his mother and was told not to look at the fire lord as a child or he'd turn to stone. Dekam being a small child feared he would but curiosity got the better of him, he took a glimpse of the man as he passed and their eyes met for a brief moment. He was a child alright but a clever one and suddenly everything became clear. Why his mother kept him away from the fire lord so much, why the fire lord's wife would often come over just to criticize and verbally abuse his mother. Dekam, only Twelve years old at the time, asked his mother while helping her fold clothes 'Is that man my father?' and she just paused before looking up at Dekam with a smile and saying 'You're such a clever child Dekam.'. Dekam would forever remember the pained expression she wore on her face as she continued to fold the clothes.

Dekam's mother died a year after that, she died slowly of illness and if it wasn't for her silence Dekam knew they could have gotten a better doctor for her. If the fire lord had known about her illness and fragile state, he surely would have lent all the doctors in the fire nation to her aid. But he was unaware, after Dekam was born their relationship was distant. Not because they no longer loved each other, because that's the way Dekam's mother wanted it to be. She didn't wish to ruin the fire lord's relationship with other family or stain his name with her mistake. At Fourteen he moved into the palace, he didn't know what to expect at the time. He knew the fire lord's twin son's were both amazingly talented and praised by everyone. They were both fire bender's and had talents, one in swordsmanship while the other excelled in hand to hand combat. Both very talented fire benders. Dekam felt like a pebble among gems. In his youth he wasn't a social child, he was quiet and observant. Dekam wasn't a hateful child but he found himself coming to hate the fire lord's other children. Maybe it was because they were almost perfect or that they tried to make Dekam feel welcome when he wanted them to loath him as much as he did them. Or that he felt envy every time they called the fire lord father, a right he had no access to.

All in all Dekam's father was a good man and a good father even in secret. He never treated Dekam differently from his other two boys and even allowed Dekam to attend the same lessons that the twin's had. The only one he was excluded from was fire bending because he was not a bender like the rest of the men in the family but he was allowed to watch them as they learned their lessons. Dekam attended a few as a bystander and honestly as a child he was somewhat amazed as well as jealous. The fire lord even praised Dekam when he began studying, allowing himself to be lost in the immense material of books and data in the fire nation library. Dekam loved spending days in the library, getting his hands on any material he found interesting. It was an escape from his own timeline and reality, while reading he always found himself rooting for the bad guys of the stories or past.

Growing up in the twin's shadows wasn't all that bad, the boys were both warm hearted people and that's what made Dekam feel so uncomfortable to be with them. Though he favored their company over the company of the fire lord's wife, an unpleasant woman who detested his own existence but was never forward with her opinion unless alone with Dekam. She had said plenty vile words about his own mother to him in private and even abuse him with words as well. As much as he hated her, he never went to the fire lord with any complaints. He feared that his father wouldn't believe him or worse. At Seventeen Dekam had finally snapped, he learned the truth behind his mother's death. Stumbling upon a few documents hidden in the palace Dekam came to know that the fire lord's wife had been slowly poisoning his mother for months leading up to her death. Dekam went to confront her and she admitted to it after Dekam pushed her a bit further but she felt no regret. Dekam threatened to reveal the truth to the fire lord but she ended up blackmailing him. Telling Dekam that she would let everyone know that his father was the fire lord and that he had an affair, his name would be soiled. Dekam was furious, first she had killed his mother and know she was going to ruin her husband. The next moments came in a flash, before he knew it he had crushed her jugular. She died slowly and painfully in those last moments, choking as her throat was literally crushed.

Dekam went to prison for three years, his sentence was 200 years imprisonment for the murder of the fire lord's wife. His father wasn't able to give him the proper punishment, the execution that he deserved for taking another life. In those years of being in prison he came to feel numb and as much as he didn't want to admit it, he missed the rush he felt when he crushed that woman's throat. Something dark that had been inside him since birth finally began to brew. It wasn't until the Supreme Faceless One came that he was let out of prison and put to the thrown as the next fire lord. He didn't have much of a grudge towards bender's but it was all to tempting. Dekam's father was already dead when he was let out of prison and it was the first that he had cried in a very long time. Dekam felt sorrow for the loss of his father but at the same time resented him for locking him away, allowing him to be such a disappointment. He never blamed or hated the Supreme Faceless One for his father's death. Only one of the twins was still breathing, that is until Dekam killed the remaining twin brother to prove himself to the Supreme Faceless Ones cause. Everything from there was easy sailing, he raised his half-brother's children in the palace. They were all too young to fully understand anything so it was good timing for manipulating the future generation. Dekam also got married to a woman who was four year older than himself, a widow and former bride to the eldest twin brother. Dekam had no special ties with her but he felt that he needed his own child and taking the woman of the man he had killed in cold blood sounded interesting to him. The next year Aonani Eian was born, the first few years Dekam was a normal father figure to the boy. He let him sit in his lap and he told him stories, even playing puzzling board games with him. Dekam's wife loved their son even more though she feared the worst whenever Nani spent any time with Dekam but she couldn't keep him away from the cruel young lord. Dekam knew she only lived day by day for Aonani, their son and no one else. If it hadn't been for Nani's birth she may have taken her life earlier.

Dekam was very observant of Aonani as he grew up and the boy grew to disappoint him in many ways. Aonani reminded him of his own father, their good nature and kind hearts. To him it was all weakness, he toughened up on the boy and even burned him on his left calf out of rage once. Dekam had never seen his wife so angry, she was punching him over and over again as she cried. Bawling her eyes out, calling him 'monster, you monster..LOOK at what you DID to MY son!' Dekam truly hadn't meant to burn the boy or even use his bending but it just happened and he didn't feel an ounce of pity for his son. It was clear to him by the time his son was sneaking around and hanging out with a fire bender that his son was a lost cause to him. The closest they have gotten to bonding is when Aonani's mother had died, he truly tried to save her. Dekam kept a doctor and nurse in the palace at all times when his wife fell ill. He hadn't loved her but he knew what it felt like to lose a mother so he tried to spare his son the same fate but it was futile. When she died Dekam began telling stories of his own mother to Aonani, how he had lost her and so on. Probably the first time in a long he acted human with his own son. But his attention was drawn to Aonani's cousins for the most part. They were far more suitable candidates of becoming the future leader of the fire nation. Dekam found it an inconvenience when he learned that one of his nephew's died from a forest fire, it was one of the most suitable candidates at the time. He also has seen his son grow an interest in a young southern water tribe girl named Kaoru, she's his own servant and enjoys using the girl against Aonani.

In the city of Ba Sing Se, a mandatory gathering for the city has been called. An execution of several benders shall be conducted at midday. All citizens of every rank are to attend. The Supreme Faceless One will grace the city with his presence as he conducts the execution of the criminal benders.

The grand general Tobimasu Rakka shall be in attendance as well. Any uprisings will be put down and all individuals involved will be taken into custody while leaders themselves shall be executed. Any citizens not found in attendance will be arrested. The execution platform is not to be mounted by any citizen.

Image

As written by Toshio Tasuki, Leader of the Resistance

hesfweglloThe resistance will be in attendance of the execution as required by the Supreme One, however, we shall not be there for the same reasons. Five of our own benders shall be in attendance. Each bender knows their mission already. All non benders who are members of the resistance must be prepared and ready to act upon the signal from the fire bender.

hesfweglloThe two earth benders we have are tasked with subduing the general who is to be present. The fire bender is tasked with protecting those who were to be executed after the water bender frees them. The water bender is to then help as she sees fit. The air bender is tasked with protecting the crowd from the Faceless Ones' soldiers.

hesfweglloThe goal is to free those who are to be executed, then vanish before the Supreme Faceless One and or the general cause major damage to our group of rebels. Any individual who is injured must immediately be evacuated. Any individual in the crowd who is arrested must immediately be freed before they are taken to the jail or the palace. Any individuals who go beyond walls are beyond our ability to rescue as of right now.

hesfweglloThere is to be no encountering of the Supreme Faceless One. We have been given word that the Supreme Faceless One has decided not to attend from a reliable source. Should he make an appearance, the mission is to be aborted and we shall count our losses and savor our lives.

hesfweglloTo every individual who has lost their sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, siblings to the Faceless Ones, we hope to keep these seven benders from loosing their lives like your loved ones lost theirs. May the spirits have mercy on us all.

Fire lord Dekan is welcoming Faceless generals Eris and Secca into his palace. All individuals in the palace are to be in attendance. The fire lord shall retain his seat on his throne. Son, Prince Aonani shall retain his seat to the immediate right of his father on the upper dais.

All servants and slaves are to be in attendance. Servants are to bow on their knees on either side of the walkway in rows with as many servants in each as needed. Slaves are to stand by the outer walls and keep their eyes down the entire procession and are not to stand on any raised platform. Servants and slaves are to wear their ceremonial attire.

Before servants take their places, the windows are to be opened up. Any servant or slave not in the proper attire or position are to be arrested. Servants nor slaves are to move during the ceremony whatsoever, neither are they to speak unless spoken to. Should a servant or slave draw the attention of either general for any reason, they are to be punished as the general sees fit.

Should any slave or servant see Prince Aonani on his way to the ceremony, be sure to encourage him towards the ceremony should he stop for any reason.

The avatar and her friend Seok, the blessed earth bender, have made it to the city of Ba Sing Se. The two continue to search for the blessed bender that the avatar is drawn to because of their destinies. They unknowingly are staying a street away from the rebellion's headquarters and are very close. Nor does Seok or Hyo know of the execution or the rescue mission.

Nani climbed into his window just as his servants entered to help him dress for the welcoming ceremony. Nani had already been up for two hours, running around the city in his best friend's street clothing from when he first arrived at the palace. The servants looked up as they saw Nani freeze in the window, then ducked their heads until Nani jumped into his room and closed the windows.

"Already?" He asked his best friend as he moved to grab Nani's formal dress. It consisted of a loose maroon pair of pants. The top was more skin tight though of the same color and unfortunately long sleeved though the fabric did allow Nani to breath. He had to wear an armor like thing on his shoulders and elbows. His shoes were pointy and had a gold stripe. He hated the entire getup as even though it was made to be cool in the fire nation's heat, it was still stifling.

Nani's friend, Uruki scoffed as he tossed Nani his pants. Nani, being not modest whatsoever, groaned as he stipped of his tunic and tossed it on the floor where his other servant, Chiriko, moved to pick it up. "Chirko, I'll get it later," Nani stated as he waved the small boy away though the boy only shrugged as he picked it up and waited for Nani to pass him the sweaty pants he had on, less caring than Nani himself was. Nani, not entirely sure how he felt about it, moved to change his pants behind the rice paper screen in the corner of his room.

Upon emerging, he caught the shirt Uruki tossed at him and slipped it on, pulling it down and tucking it into his pants, then beginning to lace the top of it. Nani was then passed his belt sash which he wrapped around his waste and let Uruki tie as he accepted the things that went on his elbows by Chiriko. He was a fellow who didn't talk. It wasn't because he was dim like most people thought, but rather, Chiriko's voice had been damaged in a fire.

Nani thanked him, then turned when Uruki tapped his shoulder. Nani accepted the piece of armor that went on his shoulders and gave Uruki a slight smile. Uruki just gave him a pointed look and Nani raised his eyebrows. "What?" Nani asked as he felt Chiriko begin to tie the laces for the armor in the back.

Uruki shook his head slightly, "Don't be stupid today Nani. These are generals. This isn't your father. They have no reason to keep you alive if you don't hold your tongue. You can only take so much. And what was that letter I got? You asked Daichi to let Karou stand near you? Are you crazy? It's only going to draw attention to her!"

Nani ducked his head. He knew what Uruki was saying was correct, he just didn't want to admit it. "What was I supposed to do? If she wasn't near me and they picked her out because she looks slightly stronger or accidentally tries to make eye contact with me? At least this way she isn't alone," Nani whispered viciously.

Uruki sighed but put a hand on his friend's shoulder. "I know you mean well, but if you aren't careful, it won't matter. Nani, you aren't your grandfather. Don't think you are," Uruki said kindly as he moved to grab the gold fire thing that went in Nani's hair.

Nani moved to sit on the chair in the corner and pull on the obnoxious shoes before turning himself and the chair to give Uruki access to his hair. Nani liked his hair. It was something that reminded him of his mother. It was why he kept it longer than a lot of boys his age did. Nani allowed Uruki to pull his hair up and away from his face before slipping the gold fire piece in his hair.

Nani stood, thanking both Chiriko and Uruki before moving to leave though both blocked his way. "What? Is there more? Did I forget something?" Nani asked as he looked down at himself yet didn't see anything he could have missed. Uruki and Chiriko both shook their heads no before looking at each other and smiling slightly.

"We've actually been instructed by people who care about you to make sure you don't get side tracked," Uruki admitted. Chiriko just nodded. Nani pouted like a child before pointing at Uruki. "You care about me?" Nani asked in an annoyingly cute tone as he moved to hug his friend. Uruki made a face as he let Nani hug him though he only patted his friend on the back.

"Yeah, yeah, more like we know you and you're always late and you can't be late to this. Your father wouldn't be happy with us," Uruki admitted with a sigh though he did smile, however, he didn't let Nani see it. As Nani let him go, Uruki's face resumed his annoyed glare. Nani smiled at him before thanking both Uruki and Chiriko as he let them lead him towards the throne room that was where the welcoming ceremony was going to be.

Nani was nervous as he entered the room. Many if not all the servants were already in place. Uruki and Chiriko both split off from Nani as they moved to take their places while Nani approached his seat which was inevitably going to lead him to have to either converse with his father or awkwardly not look at him. Nani looked for Karou instead, hoping to see her and have her boost his spirits before he had to encounter his father.

Nani discovered himself to be standing in the center of the room where some important figures were still milling about. Nani looked for Karou while hoping he seemed like he was just trying to avoid sitting down for a bit. It was known he didn't like sitting, but moving and doing things. He was slightly worried for so many reasons. So many people in that room liked him while so many others couldn't wait for the day where he was finally deemed intolerable. Nani knew if people knew about the symbol he and Karou shared and his fire bending... It was a very good chance they wouldn't hear much else about Nani again.

hesfweglloPrince Aonani, this is in regards to Karou Akise. I have received your letter and regret to inform you that though I can meet most of your requests, I can not keep Akise from having to wear the formal slave attire. I have been given permission to allow her to sit near you during the ceremony though she cannot sit on the dais. She has been given permission to stand behind you on the lower dais, slightly to your right.

hesfweglloI apologize I could not do more for you your highness, but your father's assistant and the fire nation general in charge of the welcoming ceremony have kept me from giving you your other requests. Have a good day and my apologies.

Finally, today was the day. So much planning, so much scheming has finally come to fruition. Today he'll not only capture some of the rebels best benders, but he'll also be getting his daughter back. Icing on the cake. The benders to be executed today are merely the bait for the bigger fish, the rebels. He had to wait for so long. It had to be long enough for Naomi to be accepted into the rebels, and trusted enough to be allowed on high priority missions such as rescuing benders. And now all his turtle ducks were lined up a row.

Tonrar sat on his throne, his chin resting on his fist as he leaned on one of the arms of the throne, while his free hand was tapping vigorously on the other arm. He was soooo bored. He hated having to stay at one palace like this. His mind wondered, thinking about how things are going in the Fire Nation. He really must find him a puppet to put on the throne. This is work for lackies. He should be out there doing the fun stuff, like torture, and murder. But it's surprisingly difficult to find a suitable meat puppet.

Not only do you have to find some fool competent enough to be able to run things without him holding their hand, but not so ambitious as to pose a threat to him. It's a delicate balance to be sure. He really did luck out with Dekam. Not only is he as uninterested in ruling as he is, but his true interest is death, and destruction, which Tonrar can provide a lot of. The best of both worlds. He has had thoughts of appointing one of his other generals as the king, or queen, or whatever Sicca wants to be called.

He's unsure if any of them are prepared to rule though. Eris, though his trusted second-in-command, is more likely to just destroy the entire kingdom, Sicca would go insane from the boredom of the dreadful meetings, and then there's Tobimasu. Though he might be a better choice, as he's not as clinically insane as Eris, though Tonrar isn't one to talk, and he's more mature than Sicca, but still, he'd probably just go into an endless sleep from all the sitting around, and doing nothing. No, for now it'd probably be best if he stayed in charge. No matter how much he disliked it.

His deep thoughts were soon interupted by the arrival of a servent. "M-my lord, the prep-preperations are complete for the executions." The servent nervously reported. Tonrar lifted his chin off his fist, and sat up straight. "Oh goody! You'll want a front row seat for this Ace! It'll be a show to die for!" He stated with a bone chilling laugh. "O-of course sir." The servent answered, becoming increasingly nervous. Sweat was just rolling off his face like a waterfall. "Why so nervous lad? This is a happy ocasion! Like getting a new polar bear puppy, or watching said puppy rip the face off of someone!"

"Here, let's have a smile."
His tone became increasingly menacing. He held out his hands, and began twisting them around not too disimilar to a puppet master. The servent's body tensed up, and began contorting in unatural ways beyond his control, causing great pain. The servent's pained expression then went away as a large, unsettling grin much like the one Tonrar's mask swept across his face. With Tonrar laughing the entire time. He then released him from his bloodbending grip. "See doesn't it feel good to smile?! Now go find General Rakka, make sure he's prepared for today."

Seok took a big whiff of the city air, taking in all the smells of Ba Sing Se. It smelled like home. He was so surprised by how much he's missed the smells, the sights, and the sounds. It felt like home. He hasn't thought about the city, let alone returning to Ba Sing Se in years. Despite how long he's been away, he must say nothing much has changed. It all seems like the same it was five years ago. He watched as Hyo reacted to their new settings, slightly grinning at her excitment.

She was rather adorable when she acted like this. When she turned to face him, and caught a big mouthful of her hair. "Smooth." He chuckled as she spat it out. "Yeah, I guess it's kinda cool. Honestly I haven't been this far into the inner rings too much. I grew up in the slums, I'm kinda low class. Don't tell anybody." He smirked as he rubbed the back of his head. And then he noticed that she was already back on the move. "I swear she's just a hyperactive rabaroo." He muttered to himself as he followed closely behind her.

Despite the cost, he is glad that she now has a chance to see the world outside the air temples. She seems pretty happy after all. Though he did wish that they're first stop wasn't in the Faceless capital of the world. Is that so much to ask? He watched their surroundings carefully in case of trouble. Though he was doubtful that they could actually do anything if push comes to shove. They are, after all ok Earthbenders at best. They probably couldn't hold their own against the Supreme Faceless One, or any of his generals, let alone escape a city under their thumb in a hurry if something happened.

Though he realizes, as much as he's dreading it, that they'd have to face them sooner or later, but he'd rather it been when Hyo is all juiced up with her full avatar power. She finally stopped, and allowed him to catch his breath. "Why are ya asking me? Aren't you the one in charge?" He replied with a grin. He ran his fingers through his dirt covered hair, and scratched the back of his head as he looked around. "I'm a big advocate of the age old 'wing it' technique. Think you can master that boss lady?" He smirked.

He noticed that the streets were rather empty, with very few people around. Rather unusual if he did say so himself. "Hmm, the sun's up, the streets shouldn't be this quiet, or empty." He stated as he scratched his chin. "Think that might lead to something?" He asked. He noticed an older man walking past them in a rather big hurry. "Hey buddy! Where's the fire? Where is everyone?" He asked the man. "Huh?" The man turned to face them, and gave them a good once over. Seok gave him a rather big, and fake smile to maybe put him at ease.

"You kids best get going, there's a mandatory gathering today. The Faceless Ones are executing more benders. You best be along unless you want to be next." He explained, and then ran off towards the gathering. "Fantastic. I'm guessing we found our blessed bender. Got any ideas on how to do this? I'm not too keen on taking on a crap ton of Faceless Ones. Or at least until you know more elements." He stated. "Or when you learn to do that cool glowing eye thing Avatar's do. This might be a good time to exercise that neutral jing crap Earthbenders are supposed to be good at, no matter how much I hate it."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
It was in the middle of day- the town was bustling with travelers, merchants and other folks who had to get business done as it was way of life, especially for the lower class. So it was just a normal day, until a rare sight began to unfold before them. A carriage decided to make its way through the streets, forcing the busy people to part, but it didn't really matter, they ending up staring curiously anyways.
And what the people could tell, the carriage appeared to be foreign so they could only imagine who was riding the luxurious piece of transportation- another leader? No, it couldn't be possible, for chaos wreaked most of the other nations, so the villagers had no idea what to feel other then fear.
And they couldn't be more correct, for two of the most fearsome generals rode the carriage, Sicca and Eris- servants of faceless. Usually, they were known to be the harbingers of some sort of omen, but today they simply had work to do, and this ruined at least one of the two's mood.

"This is going to be rather bland... and I highly doubt Dekam would like to see us, or at least me.." Eris finally said, chuckling a bit as she pictured the sadistic ash general, "What do you think Sicca?" A soft smile pulled at her lips, a real one this time, as she waited for a response. But it was then when the carriage stopped and she peered outside, only to see the grand palace. As per use, servants lined the very walk way to greet them, a sort of cliche really.
'How courteous..' Eris thought, as she slipped out of the carriage with natural grace and beauty. The servants could only agree though they trembled in fear while taking secret peeks. She was wearing her usual uniform, a sort of twist on the usual military style, which was a high colored blazer that reached her mid thigh, paired with long boots and topped with a general's hat. They were made to hug her form nicely, but the material was pliable enough for her to move with ease- It was quite hard not to stare.

"Come Sicca, we can't keep them waiting~" She said, before striding down the path towards the emperor's room, 'More like puppet emperor.' She added on, with a little smirk. Yes, after faceless has taken over the fire nation, the leader was replaced with Dekam. Of course he was only a stand in for the real master was Tonrar. It was quite genius if she had to say anything about it.

Stepping into the main room, she stopped before the throne, kneeling in a "respectable" manner (But it was only for show, she found it humorous.) "Emperor Dekam.." She greeted, before her cerulean eyes slid towards his.. son, "Prince Aonani.." The named caused her eyes to go cold, but her smile remained in tact, she never dropped her facade... as she says.. its unprofessional.

"Thank you for allowing us to come here," She said, her sultry like voice filled with "gratefulness" "We have much to discuss."
