Ink gave another laugh. "This--This is just stupendous! After Millennias of fear, the Minors can finally free the knowledge of their minds...walk with their Elemental brothers once again!"

Ryu was going to get a headache if his apprentice kept referencing that scene from the movie.

"As to help...at the moment, the only thriving Minor Benders are myself; my Father, Sand Ti'imeh, and his twelve disciples; and my brother Hong Bl'dah, and his clan, which are few in number. My father is the First and the Master Timebender, while my brother is the Leader of the Bloodbenders. In any other circumstances, I am sure they would refuse to help--as you have seen in their attempts to stop me--but now knowing that you are the One, they will willingly lay down their lives for you..." Ink smiled. "Of course, you may ask them yourself, if you wish."

The man in red knelt down onto one knee before Aang, while the elder gave as deep a bow as his body would allow him. "It is a pleasure," the elder smiled, "To know that I have lived to see the day of the One. It was a day I feared I would not live to see."
Ink and the red-clad one stood. "I am Hong," the red one introduced. "And this is my father, Sand. We will both be honored to help you in your path in becoming the Avatar." He gave another small bow, then turned to the greying elder. "Father, should you not--?"
The elder shook his head. "Oh, yes! Forgive me." He stamped down his sythe, time resuming once again. "When you live to be my age," Sand joked to Aang, "You tend to forget the time." He chuckled.

"It's an honor to meet you all," Aang said, his eyes wide with amazement. He looked at Hong. "You must be Hong, Ink's brother if I am correct?"

Sand nodded, combing a hand through his long grey beard. "Now, do tell, what might your name be? What name has Time and Fate proclaimed as the Final Avatar?"

Hong, understanding that the boy may be confused, clarified the question. "What my father means to ask is how you have survived a thousand years without aging."
Sand leaned forward, a twinkle of goodwill in his eyes. "You must tell me your secret...I won't stay this handsome for long." This time, Ink chuckled along, while Hong even gave a smile.
