Akira rubbed her eyes with a long extended yawn. She got mistook for a boy her Freshman year and has been playing the role since. Now a Sophomore, she had another year of carefully keeping her secret, or suffering severe consequences.
She began tugging at her jacket unhappily, though the silver lining was that it kept her warm. Today was still pretty cold, not exactly sweater weather, but definitely not summer. She hated the beginning of Spring. It was still too cold to go outside. Though on the downside, she really didn't enjoy the fit of her uniform. It was baggy in all the right places to make her look even more like a male! She didn't care so much, but this made it progressively harder to get a boyfriend. She was a tomboy, but even she wanted a prom date.. Bright side! Yes, think on the bright side Akira.. at least you can join the boy's teams now. The girl teams in Britain were too easy. She enjoyed playing on the boy teams last year, even though it was tricky business. Keeping her gender a secret was NOT a cakewalk. How did I even get mistaken for a boy!? ..Well.. Her angry thoughts wavered, understanding that her short hair and anti-feminine clothes might have made her look like a teen boy who had yet to be graced by puberty. Her choice of clothing the day she took her Student ID picture didn't help in the slightest, but she decided it may make for an interesting saga of her life, especially since her chances of high school romance were next to none. It would at least stir up some controversy if anyone found out.

She let her mind wander to sports, seeing as her true gender was a bridge she'd cross when she got to it. Until anyone found out, she didn't have to worry about it. Sports.. Speaking of that...what sport am I going to try out for this year? Track maybe, or perhaps basketball. Then reality set in, she didn't actually know the rules to Soccer... she'd have to learn the game if she wanted to play that sport. She didn't really like learning new games, it was pretty boring at first, not to mention she might not make the team. Basketball it is then...

She looked up to see she was at the main gate, running for the school building excitedly. This was the first day of a new year, it was okay to be excited right? New grade, New teachers, new people, new everything. This year had to be perfect.. She was pretty awkward the year before. Most people just knew her as "The new guy from Europe." Akira walked into the building, shutting the main door behind her. Then she began to ponder on the Sophomore and Freshman pairings. She wondered if she would get a cool kid to show around, or one of those geeky-book worms? Either way, they'd best be able to keep up, cause she wasn't one to walk slow... Though the bonus points definitely had her perked up. She needed all the points she could get in math. 200 starting points definitely would smooth things over...for a while. Maybe by then she could get a tutor.

Where was I supposed to help out again..? Then she remembered, instantly running off to the hall, skidding to a stop to open the door, opening it slowly, "Is there anything left for me to help with?! I had to make sure that my grandmother was okay before I left."

She ran a hand through her hair, trying to fix it, slightly beat from running from her house to school. She felt pretty pathetic, because this was only the beginning of her exercise! She still had a junior to show around.. Hopefully she got one that wasn't too disagreeable. More importantly, she'd have to do a lot better if she wanted to join the sports teams as a boy. Taking care of grandma must have thrown off her training routine and whatnot. Gotta work harder

"You can clean the floors. Grab a broom. Most Sophomores haven't shown up yet. Relax~" said Mr. Fujima, winking at Akira, even though she was clearly male...at least to the uninformed eye. Though she doubted anyone had spies tracking her previous life in Britain. She trudged over and grabbed a broom, frowning a bit, "Really...this is how the year starts? How laaaame..."

John awoke seconds before his phone's alarm. His hand instinctively found it's way to the iPhone sitting on the nightstand, silencing the sound with a flick of a finger. He proceeded with the morning routine, showering, getting dressed, etc. By the time he was finished, James, his older brother was already at the table, digging into a plate of eggs, ham, and hash browns. A second plate was waiting for John, still steaming.

"Good morning" he said, sitting down and his hand grasping a fork.
"Morning John." James looked up from his food giving a smile. "Excited for school?"
"Sure, can't wait." His eyes stayed on the eggs as he stabbed a portion and brung it to his mouth. He looked up at the clock hanging from the kitchen wall, then his own Rolex wristwatch.
"Better get going," John put down his fork. "Don't want to be late on the first day." Rising from the table, the young male entered the restroom, proceeding to gargle antiseptic mouthwash and splashing on cologne.

James wasn't far behind, and quickly made way to the garage, slipping into the driver's seat of what used to be their father's Cadillac. Already in the passenger seat, John straightened the seat, tilting his head against the rest. John would be a Sophomore this year, meaning he'd have a Freshman partner. At least that's what he was hearing. Something decided by the administration. "Hope I get someone half decent." he thought as the car passed through the main gate of the school campus. John had never really had issues with school. An honor student, he kept his grades up, and knowing that exercise is important as well, John stayed decently fit. He thought about joining a sports team this year.

He really liked watching basketball, which was part of the reason he wasn't too bad at the sport himself. Basketball was one of of the most popular sports back in the states, not far from football. John still kept up with the NBA, and his favorite team, The Blazers. They were doing rather well this year, Portland was within the top few teams this year, and they were very likely to make the playoffs. However there were always at least a couple super humans, and failing to make the team was an embarrassment he was not willing to experience. "I'll make the team, I know my stuff." Although he might not be as athletic as some of the others, he knew his tactics, plans, whatever you call them, and when it came down to it, that's quite helpful.

John got out of the car, saying a quick goodbye before closing the door entering the school, and making his way to an open door down the hallway of the building. In the room, John could see another boy who looked about the same age sweeping the floor. He'd never seen the other boy before. "Probably a new kid." he thought to himself. A teacher stood not far away, Mr. Fujima if he recalled correctly. The science teacher. As if a different person, a smile graced John's face, and he let himself relax, almost slouching a bit. His hands went to the pockets on his pants as the boy approached the peer in the middle of cleaning. The guy didn't seem to happy about his task anyway, might as well get to know this guy.

"Hi, I'm John. I don't think I've ever seen you around before, did you transfer recently?" His voice had taken a friendly and almost carefree tone. It sounded so strange to himself sometimes, almost as if he were...a different person.

'hah mutt~ Can't believe you came here willingly.' Rough hands gripped her collar as she stared at the ground in shame 'Such an idiot, no wonder your family hates you.' He chuckled. Quickly her attention snapped towards him, ready to fight back only to cower in fear. Dark images of her 'family' surrounded her nightmare, their chuckles joining in sync, causing her eyes to widen and water- "S-stop, STOP!' Image

Royal purple eyes snapped open, its orbs dilating while cold sweat covered her pale skin. She sat up, shivering, "Reasons why I don't sleep.." Her voice soaked in sarcasm. The sun had just started to peak over the horizon and the first rays of light shown through her open window. She sighed tiredly, before rolling out of bed to get ready for the day. She had only gotten two hours of sleep that night, and of course it was plagued by nightmares. But surprisingly two hours was a record holder in her book. It was beneficial however.. she got to leave before the main head awakened... Taking another glance at the door, she went immediately to her neatly folded clothes (that she set for herself the day before of course) and sliiped them on her small frame. 'Why is my body so small...' Great way to start the day.
Rin Tateyama's Home > Azuline Academy

"Here we are Ms" She looked up from her book, "Ah thank you." She replied curtly as she took a step out of the car.. the driver avoiding eye contact with the "shun" of the family. "Good day." Immediately the car left..but she continued in, her head held up high as always.. entering the class room with an air of reserve and pride. "Good morning Sensei." Her nod was curt, as she followed their guide towards the bleachers.. She was one of the first there, excluding the sophomores on the court, and she was glad.. Rin always had a dislike for loud situations. Sitting herself down, she took out a book titled 'Dante's Inferno: The Divine Comedy' in its original Italian (she had to refresh her language every once in awhile) and began to glide through the words easily- her ears and mind zoned out, the classroom's presence invisible.

"New perspective, right?"

Silver grey eyes gazed at the rather elegant and humongous main gates of his new school, Azuline Academy. One could already tell that this was on a different pedestal especially when compared to the former one where he had attended. His previous school was just a public one which was near to his new residence at the Wakamiya family. He had no qualms about it as long as he gets an education, but this new one had been the choice of his current guardian and uncle due to some problems at his late school. He even had to stop for a few months to regain a bearing on his life. When he did, he had been transferred here as a sophomore, with the words of his uncle implying that this place would give him a sense of perspective. He highly doubted that, but he was certain that he was far older than anyone else for his level. Can't help it, he had stopped for some time.

He kept the illustrated map prepared by his aunt as he released a soft sigh as he entered the gates. He had to wake up early to avoid the morning rush and since he had also been prohibited to use his preferred transportation. He had to resort to the trains and he was not really fond of crowds. This academy was also quite far from his house, his job, and everything else he has familiarity with. He would need to keep track of his time more efficiently than before since he will be commuting. The guard was about to hail him probably because of his stature that would not be passable as a regular teenager. He also has ear piercings which would be by rule are a violation of the dress code, but he hid it with the use of his coal black hair. He showed the guard at a distance his school ID and the fact he was in the prescribed uniform which he wore in a rather casual manner. He managed to slip through and took out the class schedule he was given by his uncle. He began to read it to see how he would manage to get through this day.

Everything had been done by his uncle and this would be his first time ever coming here. Some of the students who were also entering the school on its first day gazed at him as they walked passed by. They were instantly enamored with his physical appearance which resembled that of supermodels and also the rather bad-boyish demeanor he seemed to exude. The others had noticeable blushes upon their faces, girls or boys. Then, there were also starting gossips of who he could possibly be. He ignored them whether he noticed it or not. He focused himself on the sheet of paper and the note saying he is to enter the Freshman-Sophomore pairings, to enhance the experience and so forth. Just great...

It should not be applicable to him since he is literally new to this school. How the hell would he show some freshman the goings of this school. This was probably the doing of his uncle as the bonus points would be a credit for becoming a part of the program. He has a feeling this would be a disaster, but whatever it has been done. All he could do is suck it up and do what is expected of him for now. He continued reading and found that there are some after-school club activities. At his previous school, he was part of the basketball team and with his height. He was quite the asset, it also helps he was good with the ball. He would probably join the basketball team here and another one caught his interest too, Judo.

He might not like the curve ball thrown his way in regards of the freshman-sophomore program. He does like the clubs available. He would make good use of it, but he would need to know the schedule and the flexibility since he does have things to do when school is over. That would be on his checklist. It was then he heard his phone ring. He looked at the screen and then answered it. "Hello, Aunt Margarette. Yes. I'm here. I didn't get lost. Hmm, let me talk to him." He might be new to Japan, but it had been months since he had come here, so he was now familiar with the area, somewhat. "Hikaru? Shouldn't you be leaving for school?" He entered the hallways as he read the directions posted at the walls. "I can't take you anymore since I'm going to mine. Listen, I will pick you up later. Promise." He exactly stopped at the doors where the opening ceremony for the new school year would be held. "I will until then, be a good boy." The call ended as he opened the doors and entered.

There seemed to be a few students already there and a teacher as well. He's here now, so what does he do next? It seemed he was still a bit early, might as well find a seat and so he did. Well, he will have to see what kind of school year he will be having then whether he was looking forward to it or not... he'll see as he continued reading the papers handed to him by his uncle about his new school.

Himeko woke up early, but why wouldn't she? Most of the night she stared at the ceiling. If looks could kill, she would have bore a large hole into the bedroom ceiling, deep enough to see the night sky from her bed. She was nervous, but she had a right to be. Ever since the 6th grade Himeko was allowed to have her retainer and best friend, Kazuhiko, present during her classes. However, the Principal to her new school has deemed his presence inappropriate and unnecessary. If she wanted to quote the woman directly, her exact words were; "I realize that being separated from your...servant?... It inconveniences you, and makes you feel uncomfortable, but that's more reason to separate you now. He is a crutch that is to be quite frank, becoming a hindrance as far as your social growth is concerned. I forbid his presence on our campus during educational hours. If I catch him on the grounds between eight and three, he will be arrested. If I catch him on school property after eight in the afternoon he will be arrested."

Himeko closed her violet eyes, the only indication that she was part of the Kitogawa family at all. She looked nothing like either one of her parents, aside from those eyes. She had her mother's eyes, and there was no denying it. When her alarm rang, she let out an annoyed huff, because if she had a choice she'd simply stay in bed ALL day. As far as Himeko was concerned, she didn't want to grace Azuline Academy with her presence if Kazuhiko wasn't welcome. Though none the less she heard the knock on the other side of the door. Rolling her eyes, she rose from the bed, smoothing out the wrinkles in her silk night gown. It was mid-thigh in length, enough to cover anything 'indecent'. Satisfied that she was proper enough to be seen, "Kazuhiko!" she shouted in a flat tone, not angry, but not excited either. There was no real emotion behind it at all. The blonde man bowed after opening the door, stepping through afterward. She instinctively spread out her arms, waiting for Kazuhiko to dress her in the Azuline Academy summer uniform. He picked up the top off the rack, unaffected by her spoiled behavior. In fact, he was quite numb to it. He saw nothing wrong with her attitude about life, because he grew up around her. He knew more about her than possibly even she did herself. He dressed her, only receiving aid when it came to the skirt. She lifted her legs to slip inside of it, but he even had to zip it up. The only clothes she applied to herself was undergarments and her gown. Though who was he to complain? The pay was good, and he actually enjoyed her company. She was never actually cruel to him or anything. He was the only person aside from her little sister that Himeko felt truly...comfortable around, for lack of a better word. There was still a lot she didn't trust even him with. She was quite...defensive. Though he had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. As tough as she appeared to be, she was still quite naive and fragile underneath all the layers of defense mechanisms.

He bowed once he got her fully dressed, "I will return shortly with your breakfast, Ms. Kitogawa." He smiled, rising only after he finished his sentence. It earned him a frown from Himeko, but he only chuckled. He knew she hated the title, but he couldn't risk calling her by name with the possibility of her mother listening in. He brought in a cart that had a rather extensive assortment of breakfast items on top. She eyed each choice before picking up an apple, glass of milk, and toast. She didn't eat much, so he didn't understand why they bothered. Most days she picked the same three items. Kazuhiko never would understand rich people.

Himeko ate silently, and stood when she was done. Kazuhiko took the cart out, letting the cook take over as he escorted her outside of the Kitogawa estate. There waited a car, and he opened the back door for her. She got in and he drove her to school without another word between the two of them. Once outside of Airdalen, he looked through the rear view mirror, "Nervous, Himeko-chan?" He asked with a slightly teasing voice. The blonde glared at him with malice before smiling a bit, "Not as nervous as you'll be." she retorted in a somewhat cold tone. She wasn't puppy dogs and daisies with Kazuhiko, but she was considerably nicer to him than anyone else, her little sister excluded.

She let herself out of the car, before he could open it, "You can't come, remember? I might as well get used to doing some things on my own.." She smiled at him, though it was fake. Honestly she was anxious. Who would dress her? Brush her hair? She'd never done any of that on her own before. She grabbed her bag, slamming the door shut before departing. Not offering a goodbye as she approached the building, looking it over. She followed signs until she made it inside and found the gym immediately due to it's ideal location. She hesitated outside, noticing a list of clubs... MANDATORY?! Her eyes instantly widened, and she frowned as she began looking them over. Two!? ...Not a lot to choose from... Band...and Theater. I hate this school... She thought, now in a sour mood. She entered the Gymnasium, eyes landing on a few other students. Two males making conversation in the middle of the floor, one small girl reading a book, which caused her to smile. Somewhat like what I'd do... Then she noticed a dark haired male student, who appeared that he could be model status. He and the girl both had dark hair, she felt like an outsider here. The two on the floor had lighter hair, but still. She doubted anyone came from Russia. Deciding to not focus on how she was the odd man out, she noticed something else. The very tall guy, who appeared to be well over six feet tall,(Ryou) had the same packet that her father had given her about Azuline Academy in his hands. Judging by his appearance he wasn't a Freshman, so she deduced that he was a transfer, much like herself. He's new too..?

Feeling relieved that she wasn't the only one, she decided to sit in his vicinity, but not too close. It was comforting, without the anxiety that making conversation would bring her. She wasn't able to hold conversation with average students, let alone with some guy who appeared to be straight off an Hollister advertisement. Not to mention she didn't know where else to put herself honestly.. Being uprooted from her home country, the principal denying Kazuhiko's presence... She felt like she was trying to catch air in a jar.. She started looking through the packet as well, seeing as there was nothing else she could occupy her mind with at the moment, groaning when she saw the Freshman and Sophomore pairing on the list of welcoming activities. 200 bonus points? Am I supposed to have a 4.1 GPA? She thought with a laugh, considering her's typically was a 4.0 in Russia. Though she wasn't sure if she'd have as much luck in Japan. Standards were...pretty high. She'd have to do some major studying to keep her top grades, "Seriously..? A Freshman? I barely found the Gym.." she signed hed aloud, allowing herself to gaze around the room once more. This was the school? She'd be living here five days a week?, "This seriously blows.." Her accent was foreign, but her Japanese was perfect. Probably due to her Japanese father.

Hikari rode quietly in the back of her father's car the entire trip from her home. She didn't look up at the driver, and she didn't even sigh. She should have been glad about Azuline, it had been her dream school since Kindergarten, but due to the turn of events, the path that brought her here... She really didn't care. She had a secret, something she'd never told anyone.. Her parents have spent nearly half of her earnings as a pop idol. While her sister and cousin are allowed to keep their money, Hikari's is used to pay the bills, buy her father's car, and to support her mother's shopping addiction. She couldn't believe the amount of purses she bought. How many purses did one woman need? She shook her head, noticing the driver eyeing her through the rear view mirror. She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms with a silent huff as she let herself out of the car once it stopped. Were her parents paying everyone to keep an eye on her? She walked off, school bag in tow, adjusting her uniform and smoothing it out. She watched the car pull out from the corner of her eye and she let out a sigh of relief. Good riddance... She thought, a little disgusted with her fame. Though once her eyes fell on the school, a huge smile plastered itself on her face, spreading from ear to ear.

Sugoi... (Translate: Wow...) She gazed at the building for a while before continuing on. She didn't want to be late. She caught a few stray students whispering, staring, and taking photos of her, and she simply waved with a giggle. She couldn't hate the fans for what was happening to her, none of them knew the money they spent on her CD's rarely made it to her.. She made it inside the gymnasium when a plain looking female student with long black hair approached her. The girl's bangs were so long that they practically covered her eyes from view, and it was kind of creepy, but Hikari smiled anyhow, "Need something?" She asked in a sweet, energetic voice as the girl simply blushed and pulled out a cheap phone, "MayItakeapicturewithyou?" she asked in a hurried tone, causing Hikari to tilt her head slightly. She didn't make out what the girl was trying to say, so she was left confused, "Huh? A little slower please.." She smiled, giggling a bit, "I don't bite, promise." The girl was hesitant, and began blushing, but after a moment of collecting herself repeated her question. Hikari nodded, taking a selfie with the girl before making her way to the gym, "I hope we get paired together in the Freshman and Sophomore program, Hikari-sama!" the girl shouted, "Just call me Hikari.." Hikari replied simply to the girl before waving. She turned to open the door to the Gym, stepping inside and looking around, impressed by how nice it was. Though considering it was the best school Japan had to offer she wasn't sure why she expected anything less than the best. Freshman and Sophomore program huh? Guess it's good publicity.. I bet that's half of the reason Mom and Dad agreed to let me attend this school... It was a little annoying though... I already know where everything is... Though the only reason she knew the school's inner workings was because her money hungry father demanded a map of the school, paranoid that they couldn't protect his human gold mine. (Though of course he never would admit it like that...)

She noticed a blonde male (John), conversing with a rather short boy (Akira). The smaller boy had light brown hair, and seemed to be nervous, but she didn't bother with finding out those details. She wasn't interested in it right now. After that her eyes landed on a blonde girl (Himeko) proceeding up the bleachers. She appeared a little snobby in Hikari's opinion, but decided to not think into it too much. She would wait until she got to know her to judge. The girl sat near a ebony haired student (Ryou), who seemed fixated on a packet that she pulled out as well. She hadn't received one, so she wasn't sure what that was about.. He appeared pretty tall, especially with the blonde in comparable distance. He was definitely tall compared to Hikari, she knew it. Then her eyes fell on a small dark haired girl. She couldn't quite tell if the girl had violet or black hair, which intrigued her enough to approach... and she realized it was probably so black it had a violet tint on it. She noticed that happened a lot to dyed hair, but this girl's didn't appear dyed... Hikari dyed her's enough to know.

She sat down, "Hope I'm not intruding too much.. I'm Hikari Ushino, in case you don't know. What are you reading?" She asked with a bright smile, tilting her head at the girl. No one deserved to sit alone like that. Why not offer her some company until the event began? It seemed that a lot of students were still missing and it wasn't due to start quite yet.

"Did you forget your wallet?"

"No.."

"Did you forget your pencil case?"

"No..."

"Do you have your notebooks?"

"N...Yes."

"Did you forget your water bottle?"

"No."

"Did you forget your medication?"

"No!"

By the end of Shikari's interrogation, Kaoru felt pretty annoyed. He hated his sister's new-found motherly instincts. He just wanted her to go back to the way she was. Though he just rolled his eyes. She was the adult, regardless of how irritating it was that she treated him like a child. He was fifteen for Christ's sake. He adjusted his school bag on his shoulder, walking out of their house with her. He got in the passenger's seat and waited for his sister to enter the car. She put the key into the ignition and he leaned back into his seat as he heard the purr of the engine. He allowed himself to doze off during the car ride, his golden brown eyes closing. The Cherry blossoms were nice this year, but something about car rides always made him sleepy. Before he knew it, a feminine hand was shaking his shoulder, "Wake up Kao-chan." Shikari sighed, "You'll make us both late for school." She warned him, punching him in the shoulder.

"Wha?" He yawned, stretching his arms out. Kaoru's eyes widened as they landed on the dashboard's clock and he quickly scurried out of the car. He waved to his sister and rushed to the building, "Gonna be late..gonna be late..." and he slung the door open without stopping. He avoided the other students as best as he could and nearly crashed into the Gym door. He opened the door and stormed in, skidding across the floor until he stopped in the middle of the gymnasium, flailing to catch his balance. He rubbed the back of his neck as several students began snickering, but simply laughed it off. He looked around, noticing everyone seemed to be in pairs. Then he looked to his watch, "Oh.. the car's clock is fast.. Gotta tell Shi-chan.." Out of the students that caught his eye; Two girls were sitting together, a petite girl with dark hair and a more hyperactive girl with reddish brown hair. Then his eyes fell on two people who seemed to be pretty antisocial, one was a blonde girl sitting a few feet away from the other. The guy however made Kaoru's eyes widen. S-so tall... A little intimidated by them, he stood there on his own, until he noticed two guys making conversation. One was a taller blonde, and the other was a short light brunet haired boy. Running a hand through his own brown hair nervously, Kaoru approached the two Sophomores, "Hey, sorry to interrupt, but do you guys have any idea where Freshman supposed to be?" he asked with a friendly grin, shoving both hands into his pockets as he awaited a response from the two boys. He felt a little awkward, paranoid that everyone knew his secret... but he knew that wasn't possible. That would require a private investigator and his company wasn't well enough on the charts to be of interest to anyone of importance. Still.. the bullying at his last school was plenty enough to keep him looking over his shoulder. If anyone found out, his high school career would be living hell. He had to be more careful this year. Chill out Kaoru... it isn't written all over your face..

"And so it begins."

It was the start of another school year. This time he would be a sophomore attending the elusive Azuline Academy, a school he had initially refused as his preference was a public school where he could effectively hide his connection both by status and by blood to the powerful Shirokami Clan. It would also serve as a place where he could get away from all of the scrutiny of the world he had been born to which many had considered to be very wonderful and worthwhile. In his opinion, it was meaningless and empty, yet there are many perspectives, just like how people are diverse. But alas, his choice had been rejected and as long as he is under the Shirokami and his Father's son, it would be rather hard for him to do as he pleases with little resistance.

Though, Aeon would resist nonetheless.

In any case, he had managed to pass his first year without much trouble or anyone noticing who he really is. He had entered the school as a Belrose which is the surname of his late mother and had been dubbed as a mixed-blood which was true. It was also not unique as many of the students here are of different ethnicity. Though, he had been informed by the principal and by his own observation, he had gained quite the following around the academy even those who are his seniors despite without revealing his true background. He found it rather odd and confusing as to why there would be people who admire him. There is no recollection he had been amiable or friendly to anyone. Yet, it had been explained to him by the principal that it was due to his peerless masculine beauty, excellent intellect shown through his exemplary grades, and being very athletic as a member of the Kendo and Tennis Teams.

That was rather very shallow in his personal opinion. He had not done anything profound to gain their admiration. In fact, his personality and distinctive desire to be left alone and not to be engaged in frivolous matters are very prominent in his dealings towards anyone. It also adds that his scope of expressions and emotions only ranges to one, indifference. Basically, he is a loner and has this presence which casts a certain barrier around him that denotes of superiority and coldness to those who he deemed no value to his eyes. Well, it usually revolves everyone around him. Well, whatever they think they would gain with such useless activities, it does not concern him as long as they do not interfere with his daily life that is.

He prefers to be left alone to his own devices and as such does not have anyone who could be called as his friends. There are acquaintances but that is all. He has a very defined border established around him where no one is allowed to get in. Frankly, he is completely fine with it. Solitude was far better than anything else and that is how he always started his day. He stays at a nearby condominium on his own. Though, he only graces it during the weekends, school breaks, and such. After all, the academy has its own dorm for all students to use during the school days. It does give him reason to stay away from the Shirokami Main House.

As for going to places, he simply uses the bus or a cab if there is any place he wants to go to, but if not and near, he walks when the distance is something he is not troubled with. And, it was the latter for him at the moment. The morning was still a bit chilly despite being spring, but not something he is troubled with. Instead, he found it pleasant as he walked through the pathway where the cherry blossoms had bloomed. The pink petals gently swayed and fall in a whimsical manner. He could not help but take a pause in his step and admire the pink-tiered trees. It reminded him of something and it was a good one.

Thinking about it, the beginning of this school term would require more responsibility of him. He had been assessed to enter a new program where he as a sophomore would have a freshman entitled to his care. The extra points given for the grades were not needed by him, but he had agreed due to one condition.

"Uhm... Go-good morning, Belrose-san!"
ImageImageImage
His cherry blossom viewing and inner machinations were interrupted as he looked at the cause. It was a girl who goes by the name Aya Hakurei, the daughter of a cabinet member. She was in his class last year. Aeon could see the faint blush staining her cheeks and it seemed to take much courage to greet him as she was looking at her feet after saying her piece. She was not alone as well as she has her friends at a nearby distance, moral support it seems. "Good morning, Hakurei-san." He stated with his monotone voice and passive expression. At the same time, he offered an acknowledging nod to her companions. The mere recognition and gesture seemed enough to make their hearts flurry evident through the deepening red across their cheeks.

"How was your vacation? Uhm… I... I hope it was good and that we're classmates again this year." She said in a rather shy manner while looking at him with expectation and a smile. Unfortunately, he had no use for such antics and whatever she was expecting from him was not going to be given to her. "I see. I will excuse myself now. I have something to do." He gave a polite nod and turned his back at them making his way towards the gates and to the venue where the entrance ceremony would be held. Along the way, his phone alerted him to a new message. He took it out and read its content. It seemed the condition he had presented for him to participate in the Principal's new program has finally arrived. He answered with his own message before keeping his phone away. Soon, he arrived at the place where there are parents, teachers, students who have duly gathered. Still, it was not yet time for the ceremony to start. There was still some time left apparently making him early.

As for him, Aeon waited by the doors. There was someone he would need to meet and make sure would not make a scene. However, he could hear some of the students who noticed his presence began murmuring in delight. This must be what the principal said about his fans. He had a certain feeling that the peace he had last year would be greatly disturbed. Whether that was for the good or not, he had yet to conclude.

A blonde was sleeping in the back seat of her Grandmother's car when it came to a complete stop just outside of Azuline Academy. The elderly, but uncharacteristically energetic woman reach back and shook her granddaughter, "Arietta, Dear, you've got to wake up. We're at the Academy. It's time to go to school. You can't expect to sleep all day, Ari-chan." Mrs. Hakushiro teased, running her fragile fingers through the blonde hair of the young Freshman. It was so different compared to her own. Her grey hair was once jet black, similar to Mr. Hakushiro's. The blonde came from that side of the family. A frown formed on her face, but her thoughts were interrupted when the blonde finally came to. Arietta's blue eyes fluttered open and she sat up slowly. After a moment of adjusting to consciousness, she rubbed her eyes with a cheerful laugh as well. She didn't even realize that she had fallen asleep. A new start huh..? She thought to herself enthusiastically as she could, given the circumstances of her abrupt move.. Well.. bright side no one here knows about my.. habit.. She ran a hand through her hair, eyes lowering as she felt the absence of her pendant, "Arigatou, Baachan..." She added before sliding out of the car, closing the door quietly behind her, "I can walk home this weekend. I've got my cellphone." She reassured her, wishing to get fresh air. It hadn't been too long since the incident, and moving to a new school didn't change the fact it happened. Her grandmother seemed a bit skeptical, but hesitantly nodded in approval. She waved to the blonde girl before driving off. Once she was out of view, Arietta sighed, closing her eyes and gripping her school bag nervously. I wonder if I will be able to become popular before graduation.. Sure my grandfather owns a multi-million dollar company, but the money...we never see it. He only brings in a little over a million US dollars a year. It was strange, but she decided to not worry on it too much. She wasn't an expert when it came to distributing pay checks to an entire company. Maybe 1.3 Million was the remainder once he paid off his employees? Though it didn't seem logical. The company earned well over 200 million annually. Every major business bought into her grandfather's company, including Azuline Academy. Every cellphone and computer...it all was monitored by her Grandfather's program.

She kept her pace slow as she approached Azuline Academy, eyes wandering loosely over it, until she realized just how grand the building truly was. Sugoi.. it's beautiful.. She thought in amazement. As she approached the building she that the school grounds were full of students. She passed a dark haired student (Aeon), much taller than her, but didn't stop to catch his name or face due to her nerves. She did her best to shake them off before opening the front doors, strutting through the halls confidently, although she was faking the entire show she put on. She felt uneasy about starting at this new school. It was risky switching schools in high school, what if she fell to the bottom of the social pool? She dismissed her uncertainty for now, heading to the Gym. Several people were inside. One boy was sweeping (Akira) while two others socialized with him (John and Kaoru). Two students were being antisocial, studying up on the school and it's programs she assumed, judging by the pamphlets in their hands (Himeko and Ryou). She noticed two girls were conversing on the bleachers as well, though one seemed to have been reading a book (Hikari and Rin). Not feeling prepared to socialize, Arietta found a broom and began sweeping as well, albeit rather pitifully. I suck at chores... I hate this place already.. I've got no friends.. Why did this have to happen? She thought in a whiny tone, but it was better than standing there awkwardly.

"I have already informed Master Aeon of our arrival. Now, Elle I would ask of you to behave yourself." This was the stern reminder of Hotaru who was both the female caretaker and protector of the eldest daughter of the Argyris Family, Cassiopeia who was excited while looking out the car’s window. "Look! Look! Look at that building Hotaru! That's a temple, right?!"

Image

It can't be helped as this would be the first time that Cassiopeia had ever been out of the Argyris Castle in Greece and her entering a school. She was strictly home-schooled for many reasons. Hotaru coughed a bit to reel Cassiopeia's excitement a bit back and for the younger girl to listen. "I wouldn't be around you all the time and you would be under Master Aeon’s care while you stay there at the academy. Don't cause him problems." Cassiopeia immediately looked at Hotaru with a pout. She knew there are times she could be a handful but, it's not like she's a trouble magnet or something. "Why does it sound you don't trust me on my own?"

Hotaru looked at Cassiopeia with those serious green eyes as her blonde hair had been pulled back into a ponytail as she wore a black suit which gave an illusion that she is a man. The purpose of this is not to deceive but of convenience and comfort. She also looked more like of an American than that of Japanese given her name. It couldn't be helped as she is of mixed parentage. "I know you well enough. Do remember that Master Aeon is attending Azuline not as a Shirokami, so please mind how you address and talk to him in front of others." Cassiopeia was still pouting as she then released a huge sigh. "I understand..." She knows that Aeon has his reasons for doing that, so she won't meddle with his affairs. It would be a bit difficult, but she would manage it. She was after all granted permission to study abroad in the pretense to know and to spend time with her fiancé. She was really glad to get out and to enjoy the atmosphere of a new land. She was a bit sad and guilty of leaving behind her family for her own selfishness especially her twin brothers who cried a flood when they heard she was going to leave them to study in Japan for a while. But, she really needed this. She would write, call, and do that Skype thing every day to ease the loneliness she had caused to them.

"Hotaru, thank you for helping me to come here." Cassiopeia said with a bright smile. Hotaru is really strict with her safety but, it's understandable. Even then, Hotaru helped to persuade her parents in allowing her to study at Azuline, so, she was really thankful to have Hotaru's support. "Show me gratitude by not being too reckless Elle." Hotaru countered with a small smile as she handed a paper to Cassiopeia who looked at it curiously before taking it. "That would be your class schedules as a sophomore and it seems you have been added to a program where you will be having a freshman partner. It is to promote camaraderie and so on. Master Aeon is also a part of it." Cassiopeia's eyes brighten that it would compete with the sun itself. "A freshman partner!? That's exciting! I can't wait! I want to be friends!" She said happily while reading the paper given to her with enthusiasm. "Aeon will have one too, right? This is so cool!" She then looked at Hotaru with such thrill and happiness. "I can't wait to arrive there! It would be the best!"

Hotaru shook her head at this but then warmly smiled at her charge. "Just don't overexert yourself, okay?" Cassiopeia nodded happily at this. "I won't!" They soon arrived at Azuline Academy where Cassiopeia looked at it in amazement not because of its structure. She was pretty used to extravagant architectures. It was because she was going to be a proper high school student now. Hotaru went out of the car and opened Cassiopeia's side of the door. Cassiopeia said her thanks cheerfully as she stepped out of the car with her school bag in hand. Her things should already been sent to her assigned room. "Master Aeon should be waiting for you at the gymnasium. I will be coming back after school to check if everything is fine along with your accommodations. Elle, have a good day and take care of yourself." Cassiopeia smiled happily at this. "All right! See you later!" She then started walking towards the gates with an extra skip to it as Hotaru watched over her until Cassiopeia was out of her sight. "Be safe. I will leave everything to you Master Aeon."

Cassiopeia had a wonderful smile on her face as she walked through the hallways. She didn't notice the stares and looks going towards her way. It was not that easy to ignore her presence as she has a rather striking appearance both odd, yet incredibly beautiful on her. She has long white hair and brilliant red eyes which both contrasted greatly to the uniform she is wearing right now. She was peculiar yet very nice to the eyes. It also adds that she is a new face where many who are well-acquainted with the who is who in the world of the upper echelons might have deduce her background just by her looks which is a signature trait for a very prominent family who is both rich and powerful.

She soon found the area where the opening ceremony would be held. She took a deep breath and gave herself a mental pep talk. She then opened the doors. There seemed to be other students, teachers, and parents sitting already, but she didn't get a good look at them all as her eyes immediately landed on a very familiar face whose owner was apparently waiting for her. Her face lit up with joy as she forgotten the reminders that Hotaru had told her earlier at the car. "Aeon!" She ran towards him as she gave the man an embrace, unaware that she is making quite a scene as she literally jumped towards Aeon. "I'm finally here! I missed you!" She said without reservation as she has a happy yet gentle smile on her face. That was one way to make an impression as the onlookers looked at her with surprise and curiosity.

"Daniel"
The boy didn't stir, but he had heard the voice.
"Daniel!"
He fidgeted a bit, but fell still soon after.
"DANIEL! If you want to eat out then you'll have to get up now!"
"Alright, alright."

Daniel sluggishly made his way out of the covers to his bed. Not far away, Cato impatiently twirled the keys to the car waiting in the garage. He was already dressed in a black suite, the expensive watch on his wrist catching the glint of the morning sun through the windows. Daniel's bodyguard/butler/mentor/a lot of other things took a seat outside the boy's rather spacious room. After sitting on the edge of his bed and staring out the window a few seconds, Daniel made his way to the restroom and went through the morning routine. The boy promptly exited the room dressed and washed, following Caleb at a brisk pace to the waiting car.

The Lexus was a rather striking figure, even laying at rest in the enclosed space. Daniel hopped into the back seat as his bodyguard went ahead with opening the garage door and pulling out of the drive way. It was rather early, and the sun had risen not too long ago, giving off more of a glow through the cloud cover rather than the bright shine brought by noon.

"Nice day, isn't it Caleb? I always liked the warm glow the sun gives off through the clouds." The relationship between the boy and his bodyguard was rather good, almost like a friendship.
"Yeah, it sure is." Caleb replied while turning into the breakfast restaurant. Daniel had wanted to go to one of those pancake houses. Considering this was Japan, they weren't as numerous as they were back in the U.S. but Caleb had done his research.
"Wow, it's been some time since I've had pancakes. Do you like pancakes too?" The two got out of the car and Caleb locked it up with the push of a button.
"Eh, they're fine. I never really had a 'favorite' breakfast dish."

They were seated at a window booth and given their menus.
"I'm going to have the 'House Breakfast.'" Daniel said to the waiter not long after.
"I'll have the farmer's omelet." The waiter thanked them and stated that he'd return shortly.

"How are you feeling about school starting up again?"
"It's a lot earlier than I'm used to." School normally didn't start until September in America. "Honestly, I feel a bit cheated out of my vacation." The duo shared a light laugh.

Their waiter returned with the food, and after the two had finished, Daniel instructed Cato to leave a generous tip.
"Daniel, the waiter could spill a bottle of grape juice on you and you'd still leave a tip of 40%." Caleb said after they had gotten back in the car and were well on their way to the school.
"I don't know if I'd go that far, but maybe if it was clear soda." The young aristocrat replied with a smile.

Soon, they had arrived at the school parking lot and Caleb put the car into park.
"Be careful out there Daniel, I'm not gonna be their to tell you who's alright and who's not. You'll have to maek that decision for yourself."
"Oh come on Caleb, you think everyone's out to get me."
"That's my job...you sure you don't want to at least try-"
"No" Daniel cut him off. "You read it, you're not allowed in their. I'll see you soon anyway."

Daniel exited the car alone and made his way through the front door and down the halls of the school. Nobody really seemed to mind him, despite the fact that his blonde hair made him stand out a bit. Nobody really knew him here, but Daniel didn't really have a problem with that, he was fine with making new friends. Outside what seemed to be the room where the 'opening ceremony' of sorts was meant to take place, Daniel spotted a couple embracing (Aeon and Cassiopeia). They seemed to be Sophomores, but he wasn't too sure of himself. Leaving the two alone, the boy entered the welcoming room.

Unfamiliar faces and figures scattered the area. Boy here, girl there. A Sophomore to his right, Freshman to his left. A couple heads of blond hair caught his eyes (John and Arietta), Daniel hadn't thought the population would be this diverse. The aristocrat made his way towards the female, partly because she didn't already seemed occupied, and partly because of the rather sad look on her face as she sweeped the floors.

"Hi there," A curious look took over his face. "Should I be helping with the cleaning too?" More than actually wondering, Daniel had just used the question as a conversation primer. He didn't really want to ask how she was doing, 'not so good' was obvious.

ATTENTION: Mr. Fujima Post

Mr. Fujima rushed to the stage with a smirk spread across his facial features. His golden eyes scanned the room as he grabbed the microphone, unhooking it from the stand, "Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~" He added in a cheerful manner. He ran a hand through his crimson hair, waiting for everyone to follow through with his instructions before continuing, "I know you all missed the lovely Azuline staff, and I just can't wait to get to know this year's Freshman class." He winked to the crowd, mostly focusing his words toward the female students present. That is, until Principal Riyumiya cleared her throat and gave him a hardhearted glare. He chuckled, going through the flash cards in his hands, dropping a few due to her intimidating gaze. He quickly scooped them up and tugged at his tie nervously, "A-anyways~ First off I would like to inform everyone that the lovely lady standing behind me is your new Principal, Ms. Riyumiya. Secondly, Ms. Riyumiya is responsible for the numerous scholarships that have been distributed to several less fortunate, but highly qualified students. There will be an end of year exam for all students, but it is especially important for all students attending on a scholarship to score a seventy percent or higher if they wish to attend Azuline Academy next year. Lastly, I shall announce the Freshman and Sophomore pairings. All Juniors and Seniors are free to head on to class, we have a few social exercises planned for our first and second year partners. If you have ANY questions, I am always here to listen to my students~" he cooed in a flirtatious voice as the principal glared him into submission once more. He shivered, before shaking off the murderous intent of her stare and quickly began reading off names, "As I call your name, stand on the floor." He waited for the upperclassmen to leave before he announced the first pairing.

"Second year; Akira Miyuu is paired with First year; Rin Tateyama." He pointed to the gymnasium floor, ushering for the two to rise and join each other on the stage. Then he continued on with the rest of the pairs, "Second year; John Prescott is paired with First year; Arietta Hakushiro." As he announced their names their picture on their Student ID card flashed across the presentation board behind him for all to see, mostly so everyone would be able to identify their partner, "Second year; Himeko Kitogawa is paired with First year; Daisuke Li Kara." The then began a second row of teams, wanting the pairs of two to line up across the gym floor in rows of three, "Second year; Ryou Giou is paired with First year; Hikari Ushino." the other staff including kind and naive Mrs. Ryoma and stern Ms. Aizaka aided the teams in where they should stand as Mr. Fujima continued, "Second year; Cassiopeia Elegy Argyris is paired with First year; Daniel Trist." then he cleared his throat, naming off several other pairings before finally reaching the last pairing, "Second year; Aeon Belrose is paired with First year; Kaoru Inoue." The teacher grinned as the pairings formed, giving each of them a chance to find their partner before finishing his statement to the students, "You are to escort your Freshman partner around campus and help them settle in to their dorm room. Those who are ranked above an 80% by their Freshman partner will receive a reward. Anyone caught being difficult or rude to their partner will have Two hundred points deducted from their grade. This includes the Freshman class. Have fun, and please remember that I am always here to help students in need~"

"Hi, I'm John. I don't think I've ever seen you around before, did you transfer recently?"

Akira's brown eyes scanned the blonde student and she shook her head, "Um... I was here last year. I was on the basketball team." She recognized him from practice, but due to not being used playing against boys she wasn't one of the starters. She got time on the court, but she wasn't exactly popular. She planned to work out and play a lot more, hoping to actually play more than she sat on the bench this year, "My parents died the summer before school started last year so I had a bad season." she explained, sweeping casually, but making eye contact now and then to prove she wasn't ignoring him as she did her part to prepare the event, "I'm working to do better this year. Oh, I'm Akira Miyuu by the way. I'm a Sophomore this year." She extended her hand out for a handshake, hoping she didn't come across as too feminine. She kept her nails short and didn't tend to them, but she couldn't help the fact that her fingers were slender. Though she did have calluses on the palms of her hands due to working two jobs before school began. Then she realized handshakes were far less common in Japan, and she felt a little rude, " Sorry. Habit, I'm from Britain..It's nice to meet you, John-san." She grinned, but they were approached by a rather short boy, close to her own height, who seemed to be a little confused. Judging by how nervous he came across as, she assumed he was a Freshman.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt, but do you guys have any idea where Freshman supposed to be?"

She shook her head, laughing a bit, "Nah, sorry man. I just was told to start cleaning. I have no clue." She responded to him nonchalantly, feeling a bit sympathetic, though she really didn't know. New Principal meant new expectations. No one really knew what was to come. She just bent down to scoop up her pile of dirt when the presentation began, "See you guys around I guess." She quickly finished up finding a trash can to dump the nastiness in before listening to Mr. Fujima. She rid herself of the broom and took a seat, listening to the boring announcements. She leaned back, seeing as she chose a relatively secluded spot, at least one with no one behind her when she sat down..

"Second year; Akira Miyuu is paired with First year; Rin Tateyama."

It felt as if she had just dozed off, she heard her name and shot up quickly, rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment. She shoved her hands in the pants pockets of her male uniform and proceeded to the floor, Mrs. Ryoma grabbing her shoulder's and showing her where to stand.

"Right here, Mr. Miyuu." She chimed, smilingly kindly to her, completely oblivious to Akira's true gender.

"Thanks.." Akira replied, smiling back, though she was kind of disappointed. Even up close no one could tell. A wig and chest binding seemed to be all it took to convince everyone that she was a boy. Perhaps she was meant to be born male? Was she that masculine? She was actually pretty insulted. The only perk was the sports.. and that she didn't have to fight a lot of bitchy girls that decided they wanted to poke fun at the athletic girl.

"You are to escort your Freshman partner around campus and help them settle in to their dorm room. Those who are ranked above an 80% by their Freshman partner will receive a reward. Anyone caught being difficult or rude to their partner will have Two hundred points deducted from their grade. This includes the Freshman class. Have fun, and please remember that I am always here to help students in need~"

Two hundred!? I know they mentioned two hundred bonus points to anyone who got good feedback from their partner, but deducting two hundred if you're caught being rude? Yikes. What classifies as rude?? When she looked to the presentation screen, she saw a picture of her partner, who seemed rather thin and bookish. She sighed a bit, realizing she got someone from the opposite side of the tracks, Difficult from the beginning... This year is cruel already. I wonder if she'll comply? Nerdy types care about good grades, right? I need those points..

"Um... I was here last year. I was on the basketball team." That was strange, John should have recognized the guy right away."My parents died the summer before school started last year so I had a bad season." To John, this was not a good enough reason to hinder one's performance. Maybe for a day or two, but a whole year? Probably just an excuse for how bad Akira really was.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. That's rather unfortunate." He tried his best to fill the words with emotion, honestly, he himself couldn't care less. How would some random kid's parents have any affect on him? John liked how the statement sounded to his ears though, he saw someone truly caring about others filled with empathy and genuine sorrow, as if it had been his own parents that had died. Disgusting. John's own parents were gone as well, but that was a while ago, and he didn't let it get in the way of his performance.

"I'm working to do better this year. Oh, I'm Akira Miyuu by the way. I'm a Sophomore this year." the peer extended his hand. John hesitated a moment, handshakes weren't very common in Japan, but he shook firmly nonetheless. Try to be better, working to be better, they were all the same. The statements held no value, it's either that you do it, or you don't.
"Prescott, you might have heard of my father's company. I'm a Sophomore as well. Prescorp had been all over the news a time ago, same with his father. Not in a positive way. Maybe it would be better not to bring up the company.

Akira must have noticed John's hesitation of the handshake. "Sorry. Habit, I'm from Britain..It's nice to meet you, John-san."
"The pleasure is all mine 'Mister Miyuu'. Moved here myself from the States." He spoke in English for a moment.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt, but do you guys have any idea where Freshman supposed to be?" A voice interrupted the moment. The owner of the voice was a rather short male with brown hair. Akira told the kid she didn't know before bidding farewell.
"Not so sure myself, I'd try one of the staff." He nodded at the new boy and made his way to a seat, listening to the announcement. As he thought back to the conversation with Akira, something struck him as a bit offsetting. He wasn't sure what...maybe it was because he was a Brit? All John knew was that his sixth sense was surprisingly accurate, and a bit of a notification light turned on with this Akira.

"Second year; John Prescott is paired with First year; Arietta Hakushiro." He stood at the sound of the names, and made his way to the main floor. Mrs. Ryoma directed him by the shoulders as to where to stand, smiling warmly.

That wouldn't be much of a problem for John, he could get along with anyone. Even if he didn't necessarily like the person. The Sophomore glanced up at the presentation screen and caught the picture of his partner. She was blonde, rather short, didn't seem like a trouble maker or anything. John pulled his tie up to the collar and put on a smile. It was always important to make a good first impression, but what most people don't know is that much more weight is put on your looks and style, than what one actually says.

"I like your name, it sounds rather nice." Rin blinked, particularly surprised at the unusual compliment. It was rare for anyone to say anything kind to her.. and it seemed like Hikari was genuine. It made her feel odd, not sure how to react. But her eyes did catch the blinking, and she resisted a sigh, 'I messed up again.'
Hearing the comment on the game, she tried to relate, but Rin wasnt one for games either. It wasnt turning out well. But with Hikari's next words, Rin tried her best to take this as a second chance. "I am looking forward to class.. I've slacked off most of school, but I really look forward to trying hard this year. I don't want to be seen as an airhead anymore." Rin felt a little smile pull at her lips, since she too felt familiar with that feeling. She didnt want to be seen as a rich, shameful heir, but.. something else. Murmuring under her breath, she agreed, immediately after the mic resonated within the gym.

"Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~"

"Well seems like the ball is rolling, do you mind if I ask you to refer me to a few good books? I've never actually read novels before. Parents aren't exactly literature buffs either.." She nodded, "Of course." She fumbled with her fingers, not sure how to do this. Maybe write it down? Send an email? Her eyes spinned, but her genius brain finally switched on. 'Phone number.' She grabbed her cell, and did a double take. Quickly she jotted down her number, "Ushino-San..." She took a shaky breath, "Ill send you a list of novels.." She placed the note within her tiny hands, and darte- well casually walked away with a quiet good bye. Heading towards the center of the gym, she looked around and spotted her sophomore partner. Her heart still beating like a drum due to her previous actions, however.. from what she saw.. she almost forgot what she did.
Her purple orbs took several glances at the.. boy, and what she saw confused her. (Akira Miyuu)

'Was this.. a girl?' She blinked, 'A feminine male?' This.. boy.. had little to no signs of an adams apple, nor a common physique for a teenager 'his' age. But she saw no need to question it. Especially with what Mr.Fujiyama about the grades... (along with the fact that rin wasnt in her straight mind at that moment) Rin wanted to maintain her grades and wouldnt want to ruin it.. however, her arms crossed, she wouldnt be afraid to take those chances if this partner became a person of hate. Taking a few steps closer, she looked at him.. and barely took a glance at the surrounding personals. "Miyuu-San?" she swallowed her need to act prudent, determined not to "protect" herself like she usually does. Not used to this, she flushed unconsiously and looked around nervously. "Im Rin Tateyama.. please take care of me." She bowed slightly.

[Pretty rough, but she returned from my trip and I wanted to keep this going>< I apologize]

"Nah, sorry man. I just was told to start cleaning. I have no clue."

The brunet boy (Akira) replied, and Kaoru let out a sigh of disappointment. He really hoped one of the other students had an idea of where he was supposed to go. Though at least the guy was nice enough to give an answer and not make him feel like an idiot. The boy seemed to know his way around cleaning, seeing as the section of the floor he was cleaning was spotless. Kaoru stepped back, aiming to not dirty up the already clean floor. He didn't want to step on any toes so early in the game. Then the tall blond (John) spoke up, Kaoru's golden eyes shifting to him, head tilted up due to their height difference. He didn't feel too bad about it, seeing as the brunet boy was close to his own height. At least he wasn't the only one.

"Not so sure myself, I'd try one of the staff."

The blond wasn't rude about it, but the brunet came across as a little more approachable. The fact that neither of them knew bummed him out a bit, so he just ruffled up his own brown hair, making the array of locks untidier than ever, "Thanks anyways guys. I'm Kaoru Inoue by the way. I'm a First year."

"Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~"

"See you guys around I guess."

"Nice meeting you." Kaoru waved and made his way to the bleachers. He sat down to himself, seeing as he really didn't want to strike up conversation during the announcements. This was his first day at this new school and he wanted to listen carefully. What if they mentioned something important? He didn't want to miss out because of pointless chatter. Besides, he'd have plenty of time to flirt with girls and get into trouble AFTER the announcements and once school really got started. He found that people were much easier to approach in the classroom.

"A-anyways~ First off I would like to inform everyone that the lovely lady standing behind me is your new Principal, Ms. If you have ANY questions, I am always here to listen to my students~"

Scholarships? Doesn't seem in that woman's nature. She looks pretty bitchy. There has to be something in it for her. She doesn't exactly cross me as a charitable woman. He thought to himself, eyeing the faculty. The man speaking (Mr. Fujima) seemed to be a lot like himself, he knew instantly he would most likely enjoy that teacher's class, regardless of his bad grades. End of year exam? It decides whether or not scholarship students get to continue attending? Harsh, but I understand. If they're getting a free ride they should earn it... That tuition wasn't cheap. He watched the faces cross the screen as pairings were listed, but his attention wasn't grabbed until he saw a familiar face. He instantly grinned. He didn't give Kaoru his name, but due to this system, no one had to. The teachers would do it for him.

"Second year; Akira Miyuu is paired with First year; Rin Tateyama."

The boy from earlier? He's a Sophomore? Kaoru was a bit surprised, seeing as the boy was around his own height, but a year older as well. It made Kaoru feel a LOT better about being vertically challenged. So his name is Akira? I'll have to remember that. The girl he got paired with is kind of cute, doesn't exactly seem like my usual type, but definitely cute. He smirked a bit as he tried to remember faces to names, repeating their names five times in his head as pictures of their faces crossed the screen. This presentation felt like homework enough.

"Second year; John Prescott is paired with First year; Arietta Hakushiro."

That's the other guy! Kaoru's eyebrow raised as he eyed the picture of John's partner. He was growing interested in this program now. He was really looking forward to getting paired with a cute older girl. Now SHE is really cute. He thought to himself with a goofy grin on his face. Blonde hair, blue eyes... Kaoru was ready to jump from his seat and introduce himself, but he doubted he'd make it three feet near her before the teachers caught him. Detention wasn't worth it. He could wait a few hours to introduce himself. He went through countless names and faces after that, bored out of his mind. He gave up after the first twenty names, that is until he finally heard his own.

"Second year; Aeon Belrose is paired with First year; Kaoru Inoue."

That's....a guy.. Kaoru's head instantly dropped in a moment of depression. Was he really asking for too much? All he wanted was to be paired with a cute sophomore girl. Was that so much to ask? Everyone else got a cute girl... This isn't fair... He stood up, letting out a calm breath before forcing a smile back onto his face. He was good at sucking it up, that's what he had to do his entire life. If he couldn't move past disappointment, he'd still be the little boy crying over his parent's gravestones. He had to keep going, and take life with a grain of salt, or he'd never survive. He made his way across the stage, looking for the other guy in the picture.

"Your partner hasn't made it on the stage yet." Mrs. Ryoma said, tapping Kaoru's shoulder.

He blushed a bit, seeing as the teacher was very attractive and he nodded his head, allowing her to move him to his designated spot. Several pairs hadn't formed in a line yet, but the list was on the screen so they could line up at any time. He wasn't too worried, yet. Maybe I'll get a female partner if he doesn't show up~ Kaoru thought to himself optimistically, but decided to not get his hopes up TOO much. He didn't want to offend his partner and lose 200 points from day one.

Akira's brown eyes finally landed on a dark haired girl, slightly taller than herself, but not by much. Perhaps an inch or two at most? She appeared to be rather timid and fragile so Akira put a warm smile on her face as the girl approached. She felt a little harsh for her previous judgement that was based on the girl's picture. She pushed her fists into her pockets, doing everything in her power to seem like a guy. Akira knew she didn't have an Adam's apple, but she did her best to conceal that fact. She even kept her uniform perfectly buttoned. Though she knew someone would notice it eventually. Last year she made it, because she was the new kid... but this year she had a feeling she wouldn't 'blend in' so well. This program was designed to make EVERYONE stand out. She was really starting to hate Ms. Riyumiya.

"Miyuu-san?"

Akira rubbed the back of her head, feeling a bit awkward. No one ever called her that other than stuffy adults or strangers. It felt a little weird to have someone her own age call her that, especially since she had a feeling she'd be seeing a lot more of Rin, "If you want, you can call me Akira-san, or Kira-san... Everyone calls my grandmother Miyuu-san, it's a little weird to hear." she replied, laughing a bit nervously. She felt bad for calling the girl out on it, hoping she didn't come across as rude or offend her.. She just felt uncomfortable with the formalities. She grew up in Britain so she wasn't used to it just yet, "Though it is a pleasure to meet you, which would you prefer for me to call you, Rin-san or Tateyama-san?" She asked tilting her head at the other girl. Then she looked to the teachers with a sigh. There were a few groups that were not finished pairing, she had a feeling it would be finished soon, and they would be excused to start the tour.

"I won't let anything happen to you on my watch, I promise." She saluted at the other girl energetically. Akira always seemed to have a lot of excess energy, but she was suddenly feeling very enthusiastic about showing Rin the school. Maybe because they could stop by the ice cream machine, or maybe because it was one more day outside of the classrooms, well...half a day. The event wouldn't take all day.. besides she was sure the teachers would want summer's homework. She spent enough time perfecting her answers, hoping...just HOPING that it would be a good head start for her grades. God knows once tests come around she won't be able to keep up. Her math and science scores would surely drop, "Etto.. Are you joining any clubs...? I'm not really sure what to talk about.. Sorry if I'm bad conversation."

"If you want, you can call me Akira-san, or Kira-san... Everyone calls my grandmother Miyuu-san, it's a little weird to hear." Rin glanced up, sinking at the realization of her first social mistake, but she easily shook it off, she was only still learning after all. "Though it is a pleasure to meet you, which would you prefer for me to call you, Rin-san or Tateyama-san?" She was quick to say Tateyama, due to her high status and usual pride that kicks in.. however she reigned it in, and replied slowly, "I apologize, Akira-San.. but yes Rin-San is fine. Lets not go with formalities." As she said this, she imagined herself having a highfive with her own.. self.. She honestly never gone this far in attempts to silence her haughtiness and actually make an attempt to socialize. Luckily.. Akira seemed nice, and it was odd.. He came off as.. comforting in her opinion, 'Maybe its due to his name..' Yes Rin had an uncle named Akira, the only man of her mother's family who came to love her and watch over her.. Maybe this was fate? Akira's next words only made this assumption certain-

"I won't let anything happen to you on my watch, I promise." She smiled softly, feeling.. only slightly awkward, not sure what to do or how to respond to such energy. On the other hand, Rin did feel warm, protected, and to her surprised, she felt her trust linger to this student's grasp. She knew it was too early to say anything on how much she trusted this sophmore, but it appeared promising. "Etto.. Are you joining any clubs...? I'm not really sure what to talk about.. Sorry if I'm bad conversation." She blinked, shocked that she too was having a hard time.. 'He seems so social..' Image

"Yes I was thinking of Choir and basketball..' She lingered, remembering her difficult decision, "But.." Her face grew dark, "Im not good at sports at all.." As a child, Rin was always small and always studying, she had no time to worry about playtime, but now that just came around to kick her in the butt. She couldnt even throw a ball without it landing back in her face somehow. Glancing at the sophmore, she took note of his build, "Im guessing you're very atheltic, it must be nice.. Must be in many sport clubs right, Akira-San?" She unconsciously looked at him with subtle glittering eyes of envy as if she was a starving puppy watching another eat luxurious food. This was especially out of character.. She was certainly overwhelming herself today.

[OOC: Hey sorry this was very rushed, and I too wish I could do better, Rin went a bit OOC as well XD however school is about to start so I wanted to get in a post just in case~ But yeah Rin is feeling too social, its overwhelming her! Eventually she'll just burn out.]

!!! Attention !!!
Mr. Fujima / Ms. Riyumiya Post
(Also my Akira post so I don't ruin my word count..)

"Now that pretty much all groups have gotten together, feel free to begin your tours. You can start anywhere around the campus, but be sure to introduce your freshman partner to the ENTIRE building by lunch period." Mr Fujima announced. He was about to continue, but was interrupted. Principal Riyumiya put her hand on his chest, signaling for him to step aside. She then proceeded to the front of the stage, taking over the announcements. She stared at the students with a stone hard gaze before clearing her throat, "All cellphones are to be turned in. We have a router that will tell us who has failed to do so and you will automatically lose one letter grade from your GPA if you're caught with your personal phone. Each student will be given a school friendly cellular device. It has every single Azuline student's number programmed into the easy to use database. All conversations are recorded, as are pictures sent. Keep it clean and we won't have issues. You are allowed to call family and outside sources with this phone, but cussing or any other indecent behavior is strictly prohibited from being spread via your new smart device. Thank you, you may begin your day." and she stepped away from the microphone, watching the students like a hawk. She didn't even seem to really care if the students realized this was really one big psychology experiment.. and they were the guinea pigs.

"I apologize, Akira-San.. but yes Rin-San is fine. Lets not go with formalities."

Akira shook her head, and waved casually in Rin's direction, silently assuring her that it was alright. Akira wondered why she was so nervous, but just brushed it off as Freshman nerves, "That's good." She replied in relief, honestly she wasn't sure if she could go an entire year calling someone by their last name. She knew it was common here, but it was still so weird to her even after living in this country for going on two years now. Everything in Japan was practically the opposite of Britain. It was a culture shock and a half when she came here. Luckily her Japanese Stepfather taught her English AND Japanese from childhood. She was as fluent in Japanese as she was her native tongue, "You don't have to apologize. I make a lot of mistakes, so we might as well just keep driving. A bump in the road won't keep us from our destination. It just makes it interesting."

"Yes I was thinking of Choir and basketball.."

"That's cool. We're going to be in a club together. I am joining Basketball for my second year in a row." She grinned at the quiet girl, a little impressed at a girl like her was going to join a sport. She didn't expect it and it made her partner a lot more appealing now. She felt guilty now for assuming that Rin would be a typical nerd, but at least she hadn't said anything out loud. She didn't ruin her chances at a possible friendship before it even started, for once. At least we'll have something to talk about from now on. Akira thought to eagerly. Was she any good? What were her favorite teams? She had a lot of questions spiraling in her head.

"But.."

Eh? Akira tilted her head at Rin, hands still jammed into her pockets. Everything about Akira's body language screamed masculinity, but her facial features were rather androgynous. It did her, nor those around her any favors. She blinked curiously, chocolate brown eyes staring intently at Rin, wondering what seemed to be bothering her.

"I'm not good at sports at all.."

....Oh. That explains it. This is going to be....bad. She thought, but kept a straight face for the girl's sake. She knew what it was like to get made fun of.. regardless of the reason, no one had a right to make fun of another's sporting ability.. at least in Akira's opinion. She rubbed the back of her neck and laughed a bit, "Don't worry. I had a bad season last year because of a death in the family. You should see a little time on the court, no matter how bad you might or might not be." She assured Rin. Akira wasn't sure why, but something about this girl's vibe made Akira feel a bit protective in an older sibling kind of way. It was weird, but she assumed it was due to the potential grade reduction. She was probably just taking her role a little too seriously in her anxiety. Akira put a warm smile on her face as she continued, "Besides, I'm doing a lot better than last year, we can practice after school. A lot of people come to the games so you'll wanna get the best you can at it. Azuline has a lot of school spirit."

"I'm guessing you're very athletic, it must be nice.. Must be in many sport clubs right, Akira-San?"

She noticed Rin's gaze and blushed a bit, laughing nervously, "I work out a lot and do gymnastics in my free time.. The school only offers; Kendo, Judo, Basketball, and Tennis... so not really. I only join Basketball. Cheerleading is the closest thing this school has to gymnastics, but be honest, do I LOOK like a cheerleader?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow at Rin. With the wig, and the fact Akira wore no makeup, she did pass pretty well for a boy. She looked about 60% masculine and 40% feminine, give or take depending on angle and if her throat was visible to others or not.
