"It seems easier and safer to avoid risk than to take creative chances and let your mind roam free."
San followed him; the man was something else that was for sure. Tall and burly, though he walked with such a casual air that had no sense of refinement, almost as though he didn't care. San on the other hand, was light, her walk graceful. The two were stark opposites and the thought almost made her smile. His partner appeared quickly, introducing himself with a name that sounded like the sound dolphins made. "Roman, it's a pleasure to meet you." San held out her hand to shake, as she thought was the polite thing to do. "I'm Tsukuyomi, but most know me by San." The moon God of the Shinto religion. San didn't think she was anywhere near deserving of the title of a worshiped entity, but apparently, that's what she was.
His appearance was much like the other Mayan brother in the respect that he was tall and burly, but the similarities ended there. Their hair colors alone were night and day, black and blonde. One had both eyes, the other wore a patch, perhaps having a scar or injury that afflicted him. Whatever the case, San couldn't help wondering if his depth perception was off. Could he complete missions well with one eye? San thought, then realized that was rude and shook her head.
San heard Sirius tell Roman that she was an interesting girl. Quite frankly, the female wasn't sure how to take that. Had he meant it in a positive or negative sense? How could he determine such a thing just by exchanging three or four short words? Unless he was referring to her odd colored hair and eyes... Self consciously, San looked down. She was used to the teasing of course, but it never ceased to make her feel uncomfortable. San wasn't ashamed, no, nothing of the sort. She just didn't like the stares and whispers that her looks often received. It wasn't as though she could help looking like this. San had tried everything from dye to contacts, but contacts hurt her eyes and for some reason the dye never lasted. While some frowned upon it, others praised San for her edgy appearance before she told them that it was natural and she had no hand in turning herself into a two parted freak.
"Have you been briefed on the mission?" San questioned, deciding to take her mind off of things and focus on what she was supposed to be doing.

San hadn't any time to react before a light shone in her eyes. She had a sudden feeling of weightlessness, like taking a leap from a zip line or missing a step on your way down. When The blinding light faded, they were in a very familiar place. Her eyes widened the slightest bit as everything came into focus once more. "I know where we are!" She said excitedly, bouncing on the balls of her feet. San looked around the square, she would recognize her home anywhere. San started walking, her pace quick. They were right near the shrine, her shrine, which meant that the library was only a few blocks away.
San felt like skipping she was so happy, but she didn't want to weird the boys out. Find her partner, that's what they were here for. It would be a curious thing to meet the kid. What did they look like? Reportedly it was a boy, but sometimes they weren't always accurate. Of course this led to fantasies, which was almost ironic; a fairy tale character dreaming up fantasies. She tried to imagine the light embodied, but the only thing that came to mind were angels and everyone knew those guys were jerks.
"There's another shrine, it's not too far from here, next to the library." San explained, not even knowing if they had followed her or not. She had sort of juts took off without a word, "I'm not exactly sure if he'd be there, but it's probably the best place to start."
