Lark stood at the top of the hardwood stairs. The railing were well polished, all the better for sliding down. He knew he was techniquely an adult now but... it was so... tempting. he gave in and swung one leg over the railing and straddled it. He watched Tarik for a moment to make sure he had his back turned. Then with a "Yahoo!" Lark shoved both feet off of the floor and was sliding down to the floor in one quick motion. However, he could not stop himself at the bottom and was sent tumbling to the floor.

With a laugh he stood and fixed his shirt, grinning when Tarik rolled his eyes at the younger man.

"You really must be more careful," The medic informed him.

"Ah Tark, you worry too much... im fine," Lark replied with a grin.

Leia came in, her master escorting her and carrying her things. Dressed in a ruffled dress and a hair ribbonin her hair, one could say she looked beautiful. Her master was a sorcerer, in fact, he was the one who put her soul into this body. But they were family, with him as Leia's father, more than anything. He took care of her and now, she would be leaving his care forever.

She remembered what he said on the subject, "I can't bear seeing you, a beautiful young woman, in a wheelchair." An accident happened with her body she was put into, and she was paralyzed in her legs. She could somewhat move them with help, but other than that, she couldn't move her legs.

Tarik sighed and shook his head at Lark's comment. He then gestured in Leia's direction, "Your first resident has arrived... go and greet her."

Lark nodded and with a smile he bounded down the front steps and stood in front of the girl and her master. He then gave them a small bow, "Greetings, I am Lark Saiforro and I will be one of your caretakers while you stay here. And who may you be?" He asked in a friendly manner. Lark's green eyes sparkled when he smiled. It was almost as though he wasn't a vampire at all. He was too kind and gentle.

Aria looked up at the mansion before her, a whirlwind of emotions coursing through her. She could feel her wings twitching behind her, and she wrung her hands tightly. Crossing the threshold of this mansion would make everything final and that sense of finality kept Aria from entering. No, she thought, straightening her arms, clenching her fists, she needed this. She sighed heavily, brushing a lock of hair from her face. She picked up her bag and walked into the mansion. She set her bag down and saw a man in scrubs with feathers, of all things, in his hair.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for someone in charge here?" She asked.

"My name is Leia." She smiled at Lark, and her master extended his hand for a handshake, introducing himself. His name was Xavier Hale. Xavier always told Leia to call him that, but she didn't, instead calling him "Father". Her master had short, red, curly hair with grassy-green eyes.

"Okay so... im not very good at introductions... im kinda new to all of this," Lark admitted as he shook Xavier's hand. "Um... would you like me to take you to your room? Im guessing that you would like one on the first floor?" He asked. Lark wasn't sure if that was an okay question to ask or not... he hoped that he wasn't being too rude or blunt. "Each bedroom comes with a private bathroom and a large bed."

Leia said, "Yes, please." Xavier put her bag down and left. "Are you able to carry this bag for me? It's fairly light" She asked. "Or, I can carry it on my lap, if you'd prefer. I don't mind either way."

(Ssssoooo so so sorry guys! Im here now! x/)

Lark smiled politely and took Leia's bag, "Of course I can carry it for you." He then wheeled her down the hallway and stopped in front of one of the heavy doors. lark opened it and walked in, placing the girl's bag on the bed. "This will be your room. What do you think?" He asked in a cheerful manner.

Tarik turned his attention from Jordyn and Thror for a moment and looked at Marie and James. "Hello you two, I am sorry for the delay, we are quite busy today with only two staff present to provide support. You may wait there for me or, if you's like, you may proceed into the building and chose your rooms."

He then turned his attention back to the other two. "There is no paperwork necessary. Everyone who has come to live here is under the private care of our staff. Your information will not be shared with anyone, if you so chose... in case any of you are here... in hiding..."

Tarik froze for a moment. He was there in hiding, and sure hoped that no hawkling hunters or poachers would come around.

The only time in which paperwork will need to be filed is when someone visits me in the infirmary. It's my personal way of keeping track of everyone's shots, illnesses, and injuries."

"And Thor, there are some rooms nears the dining hall. help yourself to any room that you would like... so long as it has not already been claimed." Tarik explained this, then was surprised by the hard pat on the back. he let out a low cough, but hid it with a smile. "Any more questions?" he asked politely.

"I love it! Thank you for carrying my stuff, Lark." She said happily. She began to wheel herself inside and hummed a little to herself.

Lark smiled and nodded, "Im glad you say so. My parents have worked very hard to re-furnish this fine establishment." He gazed around the room, it really was beautiful. The curtains were heavy and had floral patterns on them. And because Leia's rooms was on the first floor it had a sliding glass door with a patio.

Leia said, "I remember this place a long time ago. It was said to be a church. I was only 130 years old then. I mean, I am a spirit inhabiting a shell. I'm a doll in other words. I'm in a sixteen year olds body right now, but I am about 200 years old." She smiled. "Betcha didn't guess I was 200 years old, eh?" She giggled.

Lark shook his head. He really didn't believe that Leia was so old. But, well, you never know what kind of being you would ruin into nowadays. It certainly made sense, that she was a spirit in a body. "Is there anything else that you need?" he asked politely.

"No thank you." Leia politely responded to his question after giggling a few moments more. She had a straight face with the slight hint of a smile now, and was finished with her giggling. She loved the faces people made when they found out her spirit age.

Lark bowed to Leia and left.

Upon hearing a knock at the front door he made his way through the crowd of other people and opened the two large doors. There, standing in front of him, was a soaked girl. He frowned, "My goodness, what happened to you?" he asked in horror as he gently pulled her into the building. it was sunny outside, how was she so wet?

Lark took off his heavy green and gold jacket and placed it over her shoulder.

Lark frowned. The poor girl seemed to be in some sort of fearful trance. Maybe this was one of the "ill" patients that they were expecting. But when she asked where she was, he scratched out that idea. "This is Barlo Mansion, a place of refuge for the ill and homeless... or just anyone who needs a safe place to stay really. Is there anything you would like me to get for you?"

Lark did not approach her any further. He wanted to avoid frightening her again.

"Come with me then, I will get you to some place warm..." Lark decided to take her to the common room. There was a fireplace and some couches there. He assumed that maybe she would be comfortable in such a place. Plus, no one else was there at the moment, or at least, not that he knew of.

Lark arrived in the common room with Alice. He motioned to a couch, so that she may sit down if she chose. He then walked over to the fireplace and began stacking wood inside. Lark grabbed a box of matches and lit one of them, then used it to start the fire. After a few moments of helping it along with newspaper and a fan the fire was roaring. "I hope this helps..." he told Alice.

Gathering that the girl was uncomfortable Lark back away, towards the door. "I can leave, if you would like. Do you think you will be okay? Would you like me to get you something?" he asked. Lark did not like making people feel uncomfortable. He wanted to help the girl further, but maybe now was not the right time. Besides, there would be more residents arriving soon, and Lark knew that he couldn't pile all of the greeting duty on Tarik.

///Entering The Common Room from Front Entrance///

Strangely, there were already others there. Was he interrupting something ? A soaked girl and a pale guy. Interesting. Maybe he was.
Well, it truthfully didn't matter if he was interrupting anything.

"Hey there." Jordyn said as means of introduction then plopped himself onto the love-seat (two-seater), shifting his body so that his head rested on one arm-rest and his legs draped off the other. If the girl looked a bit more inviting, he would've sooner opted to rest his head on her lap. She looked a bit muddled, not exactly looking for his kind of company... and wet, can't forget wet.
