Conner Harrison

"I'll be damned if my guitar will be thrown into the back of a truck." Conner raised his hand to his face and gave the bridge of his nose a nice long rub trying to fight down the intense pain that flared before his eyes. "I think you just gave me a tumor from your pure stupidity and child.." He was about to say before looking at the both of them, "Right. Suppose that isn't so surprising."

Conner took another drink from his smoothie to cut himself off from talking anymore. He wasn't about to go into where Red could shove her guitar. It wasn't like he couldn't lug his equipment around... No, wait. He couldn't. How did they think he moved his drums when playing in garages and other small gigs? He couldn't pack it into a giant case like they could, but then again, Conner never considered players of stringed instruments to be very talented. If they were, they would play drums. Or piano instead of getting caught up by the mainstream push to play guitars.

Placing the drink down to once again rub his nose, he let out a slow breath. He was getting way too angry over such a small thing. Conner repeated the mantra of being the adult over and over again as they spoke to each other. "Ok. How are the other band members going to get across the city or to different parts of the state? We won't be playing in the same town, in the same place every month. Unless you got a vehicle large enough to fit three people and their instruments." He said not counting Red since she already wore out her welcome in sitting in his truck. Speaking about his beloved Bessie like that.

"Anyway, Cecilia still isn't here, so I'm wondering if perhaps she's ill? We can start some practice without her, if she doesn't get here soon enough,"

Conner gave a shrug, "Your the leader." He said simply, "So lead on." Taking another sip he was rewarded with the dreadful sound of air and liquid fighting for space, the dreaded 'slurping' sound of a new completed drink.

Cecelia Zan woke up to a stifling heat wave in a muggy, distrusting sweat. God was it hot outside! She could see sun blaring from her windows, of course a small glance at her watch told her it was already very late in the day, Cecelia was known for sleeping in super late in the day, especially when it was unbearably hot like today, but the heat was so bad today and her dad must've turned the AC off when he left for work hours ago, so she needed to escape the heat somehow. And that's when she remembered practice. Shit! ,she thought, groping around for her iphone in her messy room. She finally found it, cracked screen and all and found about twenty new messages blaring out on it. She panicked opened each on and then decided to text Grace that she'd be pretty late because she over slept.

Hey Grace, so sorry but I overslept, again, I just got up but will be heading over there in a minute, you guys can go ahead and start without me k

After that she ran to the bathroom down the hall, took the coldest, fastest shower of her life, threw on some old but very lose clothes and ran outside to her little beetle bug, and drove throws there practice, cussing herself out the whole while. What was she thinking she had left her band, her champion band, to wait for her. She felt like a total fail and looked a bit like one too, seeing as she still wasn't fully awake. Cecelia did end up making okay time, but only okay and as she stepped out of her car, bass in hand, she was wondering if her band mates would be pissed at her like she would be at them if they had done something similar.

"I'm here," she said meekly.

Adelaide smiled sweetly at Grace. "Hopefully I can set my guitar in my lap. I just am VERY uncomfortable with it being thrown into the back of a pick up, you know," she said, sitting up and placing her guitar closer to her. She ignored Conner's comment and stared at the door, hoping Cecilia would come in soon.

Ade was contemplating making some witty comment back in Conner's general direction, but decided against it. She'd try and put her best foot forward. After all, he was in the band, even if he didn't seem to be the most pleasant person. She wiggled her toes absentmindedly and twiddled her thumbs.

Cecilia walked in and Adelaide sighed in relief. "Hey. You're late."
