"Are you old enough to be drinking?" The bartender asked, curiously.
She looked up to him and smirked. "I've already taken a few drinks and you're asking me this now? If I say no, do you want to be held responsible for serving alcohol to a minor?"
The guy then shrugged and backed off. Retreating to attend to another customer.
Mackenzie turned her attention to the doorway. Music pulsed through there as well. Across the street, in one of the ballrooms of a large hotel, a huge party was being held by Smash Records in honor of one of their top bands' newest CD release. The large scale bash seemed to be almost in competition with the tiny dance club.
She raised her glass to her lips as she continued to stare at the doorway. "Wonder when they'll get here..." she thought.

The place was basically packed with people. From wall to wall bodies moved and paused together, almost always in motion to the music blaring around her. She raised her head, looking over the crowd for their band's singer.

Otter Morris, the tiny, waif of a girl who occupies her position - as the drummer - in the other band is standing opposite, also smoking. She inwardly rolls her eyes; there's a long standing bitterness between the two bands.
She brushes past the bouncer - an casual friend of hers - with a grin and glances around the crowded club to find the others. Mackenzie is perched on a bar stool, sipping a drink. She heads over and takes a seat beside the bassist, gesturing for the bartender to bring her a drink.
"Where are Gabriel and Jax?" She asks slowly - Coco speaks in loud, rapid French, but her English is still slow and laborious.

Coco and Mackenzie are already waiting by the bar, but Jax is nowehere to be seen - he's glad he's not the latest to arrive. "Hey." he greets them both, taking a seat on a bar stool beside them.

She smiles, a little tipsy after waiting so long at the bar, but then she scrunches up her nose. "You've been smoking, haven't you Coco? Oh, did you happen to get a good look at what was going on across the street while you were out there? See anyone interesting?"

The barman returns with her drink - a poisonous looking, green concoction in a tall glass - and she hands him a couple of coins, waving her hand for him to keep the change. Mackenzie demands another drink - though, perhaps she's had enough, they have things of importance to discuss, after all - and one for Gabriel, too.
"Yes, I saw Otter Morris, across the street." Her face darkens a little at the mention of the other band, "Poorly dressed, as usual." She adds, feeling particularly catty tonight; it was just so like the Sex Bob-ombs to schedule a party on the same night they celebrate their debut.

He orders a bottle of Budweiser and takes it from the bartender with a nod of thanks. He takes a swig before turning back to his band mates, "Is Jax here, yet?" he asks, looking around for their singer, "We need to start getting everything sorted for the debut."
"Which one's Otter?" he asks when Coco mentions that she'd seen a member of their rival band hanging about across the road.

"What's up with the sour looks?" She asked them, scanning the rest of the crowd before noticing their rival band. Her light eyes narrowed into slits, but she turned away from them quickly. "Hey, we're here to drink, have fun, party, and that's it. Forget all that other bullshit that's going on between us and them. We will fry them at the Battle." Lina said smiling, and propping her black sunglasses on the top of her long, black and brown locks.

Otto grinned seeing the shots of alcohol on the table. She threw one in the back of her throat, swallowing the burning liquid. She smiled at the familiar warmth in her chest and she took a seat, crossing one leg over the other. It would have been delicate except for the giant shoe she was wearing that levitated inches from the ground.
What's up? I haven't seen Mr. Price anywhere. Do ya think he'd care if I downed his drink?" She asked lazily, her silver eyes on the booze. She didn't wait for an answer and drank the other one as well. She sighed and rested her head in her hands, her elbows in the air as she leaned back in her chair.
Otter couldn't decide if she would rather get another drink or to pop a candy. She lowered her arms, one hand holding her elbow while the other was propped up to tap her chin while she contemplated. She decided that she wasn't going to drink anymore. "Do you wanna get up?" She questioned Lina insisting a bit for her to get high with her.
