Drake Ryden's Story

Jennifer woke up from her sleep and saw Regen fly towards the town. She shrugged and went down making sure no one was there she left her room with her pajamas on. She cooked up some eggs and sat at the table and ate them alone. She liked it when it was quite it made her feel like everyone was listening to her. She went up stairs and got dressed in some casual cloth but they still looked better than others. She always wore a small skirt though and today was no acceptation. She smiled and walked down to her bison. "Alright big guy lets go see what the others are up to." They took off flying threw the sky. All of the sudden some smoke on the mountain caught her eye. She landed on the top and saw Xiong chewing on some food talking to herself. Jennifer didn't see Drake there so she just assumed that Xiong camped out here tonight. "Hey Xiong what you eating there? Did you sleep out here all by your self?" Jennifer had a huge smile on her face she stayed above Xiong on the mountain "I hope you had as much fun as I did last night. I really fucked up that Fish boy last night."

Drake heard Jennifer talking. "Crap. Kouta time to go." He turned to Xiong. "If you want to meet up again." He checked his pockets. He looked back a Xiong "My address is 405 west Highland." he waved at her. "Time to make my escape out the back." He gave her a wink and jumped on the fish and they flew towards the back of the cave. There was a pool of water in the back of it. "Oh no." He said as the fish hit the water and started to swim. They were under the water for a little while and he was starting to feel like he was about to drown when they burst out of a small pond and started to fly away. "What on earth? Why?!? he looked at the fish as they flew towards the city.

"I hope you had as much fun as I did last night. I really fucked up that Fish boy last night."

Even though Dray had left, with his address in pocket, Jenny pissed her off. A low growl resounded through the cave and she snapped the large bone in her hand. She threw both pieces into the fire, stood and looked at Kumatan, who was staring at the back of the cave. "Jennifer." She spat angrily. "You... You made me lose my prey... I think you should replace them..." She flashed the other girl a nasty, dangerous grin and she heard Kumatan growl and roar. She laughed soullessly and with a hop on Kumatan's back, flew out of the cave and past Jennifer, making sure to ruffle her clothing as she went.

To the house she flew, eager to clean herself up so she could visit Dray again. She quickly ran into the house and showered. Her animal friends watched worriedly as she stopped in front of Jennifer's room. She slowly turned to the door, a grin appearing on her face. She wanted to. Really wanted to... She whistled and opened the door. The animals nodded and after Xiong left, razed hell in her room before leaving just as quickly.

Drake was flying over the city feeling better but still a little wozzy. He saw the house he was at when the fight had started. The Koi started to act a little funny. "You okay Kou..." Drake then blacked out. He fell off the Koi and was falling to the earth. Kouta then turned direction and went after him. The koi caught him by his leg as normal and flew back to the stables. The fish dropped him gently next to the pond and then made a huge splash as he landed in the pond that was for him. Drake was out and his wounds slightly bleeding still but he should be fine at least the fish hope Drake will be fine from this.

Skye stares and wonders about raine's smile. 'It seemed sad...' She began to worry. 'What did I do..?' She frowns. Skye didnt enjoy a sad atmosphere nor anything sad related. Defiantly if it was a... friend who was sad. Standing up, she was about to help out the girl in the kitchen, before freezing at the sound of a splash. Her blue eyes narrowed in suspicioun. 'Darks..?' quietly, she ran out and checked the pond, ready to attack any opponent. Only to see Drake. Injured and unconscious. A gasp slipped from her lips, before looking around for the first aid kit. Turning to run into the house, she shouted. "Raine, Drake's back, and injured..!" She whistles for Eriol and she led him to Drake. Placing the koi beast tamer on her beast's back, she led them both back in. "Eriol, here please." Skye spoke, placing a pillow on the floor and letting Eriol gently lay beside it. Rolling the boy over, she began to clean his body from any dirt before tending to his wounds. "...." She checked his vitals and sighed in relief. 'It should be okay...' A low growl resounded. "Eriol whats wrong..?!" The leopard sniffed Drake and his lips curled. The smell of a dark was all over him, but of course, skye didnt know that. "Calm down Eriol..." The growled lingered off, but the beast still held that look of disgust.

Raine merely looked expectantly at the stable door at the sound of a splash. Skye seemed to have dashed back to the place. "Probably Dra-"
"Raine, Drake's back, and injured..!"
The girl almost dropped the giant bowl of misou soup she was carrying. She shakily placed the bowl on the cluttered table of medical supplies, while Skye came through the door. Raine worriedly watched Skye wor, Failynn whinneying expectantly and taking the steaming plate of rice omelets off Raine's head. The plate clattered noisily as the pegasus set it on the table. "Well everyone is back together again.." Raine finally said with a strained laugh. "If they die...." The words stuck in her throat.

(When will Connor wake?)

Connor was in a limbo like state for hours. He kept thinking of Regen and him. There were his best memories with his brother. Them getting their beasts, their first flight, all of the greatest memories were there and when he ran out of them he opened his eyes.

He woke up in a cold sweat and instantly winced as he felt the pain of his stab wound again. He grit his teeth and laid back down. He saw that Raine and Skye then asked a question. "How long was I out?" He asked then sat up and whistled and Stratos who limped out and picked his master's face. Connor smiled and kissed his beak and stroked his neck. He looked around and saw that most of the house was destroyed. "We need to leave " he said weakly then fell to his knees and sobbed on his beast's leg.

Skye's reassuring words relaxed her a bit. "The food is based on my tastes...so if it's a bit bland I'm sorry." She thought 3cups of hot sauce would be rather tasteless as she laddled the steaming soup into 4 mix matched bowls. That's when Connor woke up. "You've been out since last night..." Raine softly and grabbed a container of painkillers, shaking a couple out, and walked over to Connor. He had began sobbing and she gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey now...we can leave in awhile, but eat something first...you'll feel better.." She wasn't sure whether to ask about his brother or not, but for now it was best to soothe a friend. Failynn prodded Stratos with her nose, snorting expectantly again, while Raine held out some painkillers to Connor as well as a glass of water. 'It will be worse than this....probably...' She thought coldly.

Evan still haven't decided what to do when Regen waved him, the boy assumed that the Leader of the Darks would invite the breakfast so promptly entered the empty cafe, the young woman dropped the cup she was cleaning at the time Evan entered and the only thing that followed the noise of the broken cup was a dead silence was and the boy's steps as he approached the desk "Coffee and something sweet please" the girl didn't react nor even move.

Evan went to sit in front of Regen while awaited for his order, "Good morning, how did it go last night?", for him was an interesting experience but didn't ended all that well, the good thing was that Quetza began to behave so the boy thought it would be appropriate to give something good to eat, like the body of the Koi Rider although that wasn't a problem considering that Xiong took him.

"I wonder if Xiong killed the boy fish, I hope that she hasn't taken a liking to him, the last time Quetza tried to eat one of her furry friends she was very angry," he said without looking anywhere in particular while waiting his breakfast.

Xiong grinned widely and grabbed Jennifer by her shirt. She lifted her up off the ground and tightened her grip. "You made my prey run. It's only fair, Jenny-dearest..." Her voice was frigid, so much different from the intense heat in her eyes. "Maybe I should eat you instead..? Or that overgrown cow of yours... But I bet you both taste bitter and nasty. After all, beauty is only skin deep, you soft weakling." She spat and dropped the other girl before clicking her tongue. Her furry friends all went back into her room without argument. "Do remember that... You take something of mine, I do it two-fold..." And with a turn and a billow of her coat, she was back out into the stables. Kumatan was already itching to nibble playfully on the Koi again. With a hop, the two were off, landing near the Light's base. They would only watch for now, until Dray was alone again and they could talk.

Drake woke up wit his head pounding. He moved his arms and then slowly sat up. "ughhh." he then got up and shook his head and hands. "I'm sorry how long was I out?" He asked. He looked around and then felt bad. "Im so sorry I got taken." He was sore but he felt just did fine. He wanted to go and hide. He got up and then walked over to Raine he felt so bad for leaving them even though it was not his fault. "If I can help, i'll do anything." he said he ran his hand through his hair trying to think. He saw something in the edge of his vision. He smiled knowing what it was. He was hoping she could wait for a bit while he tried to help them.

Raine nodded in response to Skye and set the painkillers in front of Connor, next to a bowl of soup. "If you want to help you could rest and not strain yourself." She said her voice soft and airy tone to Drake, Raine coughed. "We were all out for about most of the night...now we have to figure out a place to stay for the next night.." She knew a place they could stay, but the thought of going back there brought a sharp disgust, it would only be a last resort.."Also if you guys don't start eating the soup like Skye said..." A chilling aura seemed to emanate from her. "I'll shove it down your throats. Eating breakfast is the most important part of the day..." An innocent smile crept on her face.

Connor sighed trying to calm himself and turned leaning against his beast who stood ignoring the pegasus. "T Thank you Raine." he said taking the painkillers then started to slowly eat his soup. It felt good going down his throat but he couldn't enjoy it fully. He was too distracted by his brother and the last few words before they went down. "You'd better be careful, Connor. You might just be more like me than I thought...Those geezers deserved to die. It was about time they retired. Too bad I couldn't finish the job...Can you really take the life of your little brother that easily? I wonder if you're cold enough to do so....We're both going to different places when we die anyway!" These words echoed in Connor's head taunting him but also telling him to face facts. He stood up shakily and caught himself. "So what happened in everyone's fights?" he said acting somewhat okay.

Raine gave a quick sweep of everyone, studying Drake and Connor's wounds for a bit, and then closed her eyes. She tried to imagined a calm pond and a white crane standing in the middle balanced and calm, but what she saw was a turbulent pool of water. She opened her eyes and started breathing exercises...In, out, and... "T-Thank you Raine." She nodded in response with hazy eyes. Focus, Calm, Expell Her fathers soft and edged voice rang in her ears. A flashback of her father smacking her arms with a bamboo pole to try and test her tolerance of pain and control of emotions. It caused hatred to bubble up. "So what happened in everyone's fights?"

Silence and the sound of clinking bowls had followed when Connor said that and Raine decided to break the tension. "I got attacked by the snake rider, got provoked, lost it, and jumped off Failynn(who snorted and swished her tail)." She paused a bit trying to remember what else, a few flashes were what she had. "I also fell because the snake rider grabbed me, I think and then hit the roof..."

"Good morning, how did it go last night?"

Evan sat down across from Regen after entering the cafe and ordering something to drink and eat. The lady behind the counter had stood still for a few moments, obviously shaken by Evan's appearance, but she eventually started to clean up the class she'd dropped and attempt to regain herself and attempt to put something together for the boy, most likely out of fear of him getting angry at her for not hurrying with his food. "Well, I did have quite a bit of fun, but it wasn't as entertaining as I'd fully hoped."

"I wonder if Xiong killed the boy fish, I hope that she hasn't taken a liking to him, the last time Quetza tried to eat one of her furry friends she was very angry."

Regen let out a small chuckle as he rested his elbow on the table and set his chin in his palm. holding his head up. "Well, I did ask her not to kill anyone yet, but the girl's got a free mind." He said with his usual smile before his lips slightly straightened out. "As for her taking a liking to that new koi rider, I'd like to think she wouldn't make such a childish decision." He said calmly before his smile once again returned. "I'd hate to have to punish the poor girl." He removed his chin from his palm and, using the hand he'd just been leaning on, he lifted his fork and took another bite of the cheesecake. After taking a few moment to let the cake dissolve on his tongue, he swallowed and continued the conversation. "It looks like you had a little fit last night, judging by all that blood dried on your clothes."
