I only work here because my sister's here... Seriously.

Core Pride | UVERworld

Name:Shima Shoose

Nickname(s): Shi-chan (By the children at the orphanage)

Role: Guard

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Romantic Interest: Odera Barlin - Since she's friends with his sister, Seiri, he's gotten used to talking with her from time to time, when he can catch her not running off.

Height: 5'11

Weight: 142

Face Claim: Ludger Will Kresnik | Tales of Xillia 2

Image
Hair Color: Used To Be A Regular Black Until He Dyed Most Of It White

Eye Color: Ranges From Crystal Blue To A Shadowy Grey

Skin Tone: Fair/Slightly Pale

Build/Appearance/Preferred Clothing: Shima has a very muscular build. Well, not insanely muscular, but, you get the point... He doesn't weigh very much since he hardly eats, and when he does, he'll often work out afterwards since he's very self conscious about his weight and appearance in other people's eyes. He doesn't want to be just plain skinny, but he doesn't want to be out of shape either, so in short, he's skinny and muscular. Because of this, he's obviously strong. He stands at 5 feet and around 11 inches, still growing for probably another year or less and weighs exactly 142 lbs, the number slowly decreasing everyday. His hair used to be plain black, something he got from his mother, but during his foolish teen years, he dyed most of it white so now only his bangs, swept over his grayish blue eyes, are his original hair color. His skin color, oddly, is very pale, or fair at the very most, since he's a little sensitive to sunlight (No, he's not a vampire. His skin tans faster than others, which is why he tends to stand in the shade.) Shima's choice of clothing is quite formal, in his opinion, being a blue shirt with a collar and a yellow tie that has bands and belts covered over it along with a pair of black jeans, also having the same bands and belts wrapped around them. He almost never wears anything different unless its an apron, just to help out in his cafe when he's got some time on his hands other than standing outside and guarding the place.

Weapon(s): Shima's weapon of choice usually varys everyday he gets to the cafe. He's kind of known for bringing something new each time, but he's often seem with duals blades or a simple yet tell and powerful looking spear that he likes to spin around in his hand when he's bored outside.

Image

Personality: Shima is a very, very protective person. This especially goes for the people at the cafe, his sister, and the children at the orphanage that he tends to visit. He doesn't like it when people give them weird looks, say bad things about them, or use them to their advantage. He'll probably ask them to stop, but that's his way of being polite. If someone were to act physically on any of them, in a way he didn't like, Shima would grow defensive and probably get a little violent, although it is not something he would like to do. But since they are the people he holds close to him, he has to be protective to keep away any negative possibilities that could happen to them all. While it can sometimes be adorable, things can also get out of hand other times also.

But that's not how he always is. Shima is actually usually very much of a gentleman, polite, and very kind to others. He's almost like an older brother to everyone, which he really is for his sister, Seiri, but it's just his nature. He has a flawless smile that usually is never faked, and also has a flawless laugh that is usually never faked. Shima, just like Seiri, doesn't like lying or being a fake, so he displays his true emotions openly, unless it's something like romance or depression. Those feelings he'd rather keep to himself for the mean time since he'll grow embarrassed, or even more depressed, but in general, Shima is a very open and optimistic person.

Well, there's also a downside to this. He has a condition in which he sleeps a little too much, and needs that extra hour or two of sleep, so he often takes naps on his job. He's not exactly sleepy after he wakes up (in fact, he's wide awake and a little hyper) but before hand he can become very sleepy. In the past, he's lost countless jobs because of his condition. There's bias on this too since some people find that its cute and adorable, others feel bad for him and pity him, while others just get plain annoyed by it since he'll fall asleep anywhere, literally.

日 Seriousness

Talents:
Sleeping - Shima, because of his condition, tends to sleep a lot. It's an odd thing to be good at, but if someone were to say he could have as long as he'd like to sleep, he'd sleep for over 12 hours, at the very least, and if he was given the choice.

Cooking - Well, his sister is the chef of the cafe, and he, too, learns how to cook from her. He used to be horrible, burning anything and everything, including water (which he's done before), but after Seiri began to teach him the steps to cooking, he practiced, and eventually became very good at it. While she cooks for the cafe, he tends to cook for the two at home so she can take a break since she over works herself.

Painting - Shima has a great love for art and has been taking art class ever since he was little. A lot of people were bias about his art though, some saying it was too abstract and that he'd never be successful while others loved how different he was from other artists. He doesn't display his art to the public, but in his room, there are hundreds or paintings, some that are finished and others that aren't that seem to color his grey walls.

Flaws:
Sleep Condition - Unfortunately, his sleeping condition can have its downsides as it has lost him many jobs in the past since he's accidentally slept on the jobs too many times to believe. This also didn't work out in his past relationship since he fell asleep without knowing just before a kiss. Because of this, he's tried to avoid having any other romantic relationships, but obviously, it hasn't worked too well.

Protective - Shima is a very protective person, especially of his sister, Seiri. If anyone's going to get close to her, regardless of gender, they'd have to get his approval. This goes for other people also, but mostly Seiri. He's very selfless, which can sometimes get himself into trouble while trying to put others first.

Gullible - Unfortunately, Shima can be very gullible. He practically believes anything he's told, and sadly, he's lost a lot because of this. He's been told that his past girlfriend was cheating on him and almost made them broke up and he's even gotten money stolen from him because of how gullible he is to other people's words.

Fears:
〒 Thantophobia - Fear of death/dying
〒 Acrophobia - Fear of heights
〒 Agoraphobia - Fear of large crowds

Image "A-A toast too?" She asked, looking at the ticket, squinting a bit since she couldn't see it too well. In the end, after realizing what the costumer ordered, she gave off a simple shrug and continued to watch over the few pots of soups, and take care of making the few sandwiches along with the other dishes, and making that piece of toast.

Seiri was always busy as the chef of the Beating Heart Cafe. As the only one that was cooking in the whole place, she had to be responsible and watch over things properly. If anything was out of order or if she served the wrong dish, she'd get frustrated. Still, even with the number of dishes she had to make, it didn't bother her at all. She enjoyed cooking, so what was wrong with doing it as a job?

A second later, she put out a warm soup, a sandwich that looked neat, even for sandwiches, and that piece of bread with a perfect egg hanging on top of it, "Order up!" She called to one of the waiters of waitresses for them to pick it up and bring it to the right table.

Seiri was about to put up another dish until she realized that there was something wrong with it. What appeared to have been a big of the toasts egg was in the upcoming soup she was going to put up in the window, "T-To think that I was going to put this out..." She said out loud, as usual, looking at it with a disgusted face. With a horrible sigh, she put it back into the sink after dumping the contents. She couldn't stand the thought of handing out something that wasn't perfected. She felt it ruined her reputation, even though costumers probably wouldn't notice or care.

She took pride in what she made, and since she was a perfectionist, everything had to be in place, no matter how minor, and if it wasn't, then she had to do something about it, usually ending up with her redoing the dish, even though it was quite a waste. Everything had to be perfect.

A second later she finished making a cup of steaming coffee and a freshly made funnel cake before putting that, too, on the window, "Come on, Come on, these don't just make themselves out the door you know." She called to the waiters and waitresses. While what she said probably sounded rude, she did have a small smile on her face as she really was a little rude, but also loved the people she worked with.

Shima, as usual, was outside the cafe after he ran late. He overslept, like usual, again. His lovely little complex with sleeping always kept him from doing what he wanted to do, no matter how hard he tried. He remembered the memory of when his first girlfriend and him were going to share their first kiss until he blacked out, 'Ahh.. How terrible...' He thought to himself with a sigh, wishing his condition wasn't that bad.

Once again, he looked up into the sky, wondering what he would make for dinner that day, since Seiri always overworked herself cooking. He wasn't as good as her, obviously, but he did want to help out somehow, so he cooked the dinners, the breakfasts, and prepared lunches. People would always call Seiri a housewife, but honestly, it was always sort of Shima that was being the housewife.

While thinking about all of this, he could feel his vision blur, slowly, and he wanted to take a short nap. Yeah... just a simple short nap would be nice for him at that moment and he began to doze off, his eye lids slowly closing and his legs growing weaker as he leaned onto the wall behind him to support his weight.

Second by second, by passers could slowly see him drifting off into his sleep, wondering what he was going, just leaning on the wall of a cafe. Was it natural? To strangers, it was definitely not, but to the people at the cafe, not seeing Shima sleep was a huge surprise.

Then, he heard his sister yell from the kitchen for the waiters and waitresses to take in her food. This immediately woke up as he jumped forward, nearly bumping into the woman who was just simple walking by. Shima quickly apologized for his actions as she quickly hurried by and he sighed again, "I'm tired..." He pouted, glancing into the cafe just to see if they needed any help.

Image Haru smiled her star lit smile that got the customers squealing with joy they did when they saw her. She wore her normal daily male uniform. The only one who knew she was a girl was Eros himself. She nor Eros has told about anyone about this situation. According to Haru, she felt it better to dress as a male, it gets her by.

By the time she got to the Cafe, Eros had enter-countered himself with a box of kittens. She was later herself, and noticed she wasn't the only one late. "Eros...sorry to..interrupt...but..." Her voice was low and mellow. She looked down. Never once did she make eye contact with Eros during their whole time of working together. In fact the only ones she did ever look in the eyes where the customers. If the customers were not around, Haru is nothing but a blank piece of paper.

Even though he was the only one to know of her secret, she still kept distant from everyone who worked here. She would do her job right, without any questioning to it.

She closed her eyes half way. "..Can I have a word with you..Sir?" She gripped the sides of her shirt tightly. But she kept her respectful tone.

She did take her time to bother with the animals, even though she enjoyed them. work came first to her and Eros was who she need to speak to and privately.

Lotus was a little slow this morning. She had ran outside dressed in a cute but messy outfit, with a bit of drool still on her face. She majorly overslept this morning, which was odd for her. Lotus was a girl that has never found "Love", thou she did not mind waiting for the right person, she wished he would hurry up and find her all ready.

"Crap... Crap.... Oooo shoot!!!" She mumbled while Sprinting down the sidewalk, her vision blurry, mind running on autopilot, and he wanted was food. Just a simple piece of toast would be nice at that moment. She bumped into everyone she passed, with out an apology she went on her way, another thing that was un of her character to say the least. it was not to long before reaching the Café front entrance.

" Morning Mr. Shoose " she said still not fully awake, but better then earlier this morning. Lotus peeked in the front door to see if Eros was mingling with the customers. " good not out there yet " she sighed in relief before she entered. she always entered the back but today was special, she was last and this way she would a lest not have to face the boss with her shame. The Café was busily on its way with out her.

" Just not my day...." closing the door she could hear Seiri in the kitchen like normal shouting trying to get things moving and redoing plates before they left, she was a perfectionist but that was Lotus like about her. " COMING SEIRI ! " she said quickly moving she way over to the window " sorry I'm late.... just not my morning" She smiled a bit as she straightened herself up a bit before taking the plate.

Eros turned his attention back to box of kittens. Eros was an understanding God. He wouldn't get angry with new employee. He peeked into the large window of the shop thinking of a place to hide the balls of fur. Keeping them in the kitchen would be an automatic visit from the health inspector. It would be too hot to keep the kittens in the employee locker room. He frowned a little as he listened to the male's excuse.

The frown on his face was broken to a small chuckle hearing the customer's attempt to rescue the male. "Well if you wish to stay for eight hours in our little shop, I won't stop you." He flashed his famous heart warming smile. "But I have to make a small request, would you mind staying at the corner of the shop just to hide the kittens? I wouldn't want other customers to be bothered them, nor do I want them to be bothered by you."

He smiled playfully at Blair. "For your punishment, you have to serve this young lady for the rest of the day. See to it that she get's comfortable. After all it will be a long wait." With that Eros moved closer to the entrance about to step foot into the office until he was stopped by a familiar voice. He turned over to pink haired girl and arched his brow. Normally he would ask if it could wait but by the body language of the girl it seemed urgent.

He nodded and smiled warmly. "Of course, Haru. Let's talk in my office." He opened the door gesturing for everyone to enter the cafe. "Let me just find someone to show Blair around." He followed everyone inside and scanned the now busy cafe.

"Shima!" The young God practically screamed his name from the entrance, merely smiling at those who looked over at him. "This is Blair, he's new so play nice and show him around. Alright?" He smiled at Shima playfully patting the male's head.

"Please make yourself comfortable miss." He smiled at the customer gesturing for her to take a seat in one of the booths. "Just call and someone will come take your order."

He bowed at the rest and turned his attention to Haru. "Let's go." He said warmly leading the pink haired maiden to the back of the cafe and into a small office. He walked over to his wooden desk and sat on the surface letting a great big yawn. "Have a seat." Said as he rubbed the corner of his eye, gesturing for her to sit on the nearby chair. Now that customers were no where in site, he dropped the serious "owner" act and went back being the sleepy and lazy God of love. "What's the matter?" He asked Haru once she sat down.

Image Still, the food was waiting at the window and she took a quick moment to peer outside of her kitchen, which she literally always stayed in the whole day until she had her breaks, to find someone. She scanned the cafe for a little while, murmuring as she went back to her work, "Where could everyone have gone-"

But her out loud thinking was interrupted when a familiar voice came bursting through the cafe, " COMING SEIRI ! "

Seiri quickly finished up another dish, a plate of a small pancake, most likely going to a child since it was very small and only one, before getting a minute to look up at who the voice belonged to, though she already knew, and only found out that it was Lotus, who Seiri envied for looking her age, although you could say this made her like her even more, since she had a small smile on her face, despite how the girl was late, "You're late again?" She sighed, quickly trying to wipe away the forgiving and friendly look on her face, "Ah well... I guess I should have expected it. Well, go on! I've got more for you once you come back!" She said, trying to sound serious, despite that small smile appearing back onto her face as she got back to work.

" Sorry I'm late.... just not my morning." Seiri heard Lotus say as she picked up one of the plates.

"Is that so?" The matured looking girl asked, cutting up little chunks of celery while looking away to look at Lotus, "Did anything happen? I hate mornings too, but you know, if anything special happened or anything bad happened, just tell me, kay?" She said with a small smile before going on, "Oh, don't tell me you got a boyfriend or something. Ugh, how unfair!" She said dramatically, although it was a joke since there seemed to have been a small grin on her face as she turned back to her cutting, only to see her finger bleeding a minute later.

Now, keep in mind that Seiri's a perfectionist. So when her finger began to bleed, she wasn't concerned about any scars or the pain, but she was concerned it would contaminate the food. This made her grow pale, just the thought of it, 'Someone's blood in their food...' She shivered and quickly called back to Lotus.

"Lotus! I cut my finger! I need a bandaid! Quick! The blood is going to get into the soup!" She said, trying to work the kitchen, as a single chef, with one hand, which was done pretty well other than the fact that her finger began to drop onto the clean floor, "Ah! Its getting onto the floor!" Just then, the kitchen began to get a little noisy, despite only two people were there.

Just as Shima was going to space out into his own little world again, feeling like he was going to sleep again, or just pass out then and there again, probably going to lose his job also, someone called, " Morning Mr. Shoose "

Although she didn't shout it in his ear or something, this did make Shima snap out of his daze as he waved his hand up and said with a yawn, "Morning Miss Lotus..."

Even though she had called him by his last name, Shima didn't call hers in a polite way just to return the favor. Shima was a very polite young man, and still is, so he'll always go calling people by their last names, unless they're impossibly close like family, and speaking in a much lighter and civilized tone.

"Shima!"

Though, this voice did make Shima jump, nearly making him yelp just from how sudden and surprising it came to him out of no where. He didn't have to even look to realize who it was as he turned around, glancing for where the man was and doing a slight, yet anxious wave, especially since Eros could have seen him nearly sleeping on the job, "M-Morning... sir..."

Next to Eros was a blonde young man, and a purple haired woman, both who he hardly recognized, or perhaps that was just because his vision was horrible, unlike Seiri's, 'Who... are they...?' He wondered to himself before Eros decided to introduce the blonde one to him.

"This is Blair, he's new so play nice and show him around. Alright?" Eros said with a playful smile on his face.

Shima only responded the same, also grinning as he said, "Sure." He held out his hand for Blair to shake as he also introduced himself, finding that it was a logical thing to do, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Blair. The name's Shima, Shima Shoose. Honestly, I'm kind of new here also, so I'm not too reliable to find out everything, sorry!" He laughed a bit, rubbing the back of his neck before pointing in certain areas, "Well, as you can see, our cafe's not that big, but this is, obviously, our dining room for the costumers, then there's the cashier over there, and then the kitchen, and over there we have this huge fridge to store our food... oh, there's the bathrooms just across from there and the back exit just after that." He explained quickly, by accident though since he had a habit of speaking fast.

After taking another breath, Shima then said with his usual smile, "Any more questions and you can ask me! But... if I can't answer it... Well, I'm sorry, and then you may want to ask my sister since she's been working here longer, Seiri. She's the chef here, but anyways, what are you working as here? Are you a waiter?" He took his guess.

Odie

Suddenly there was an immediate explosion of chatter and excitement around her, and she sort of just shrunk back against the wall, still not having entered the café as more and more people arrived and spoke interesting things. She simply hoped that she wasn’t in the way of any of these people, and therefore kind of shrunk in on herself. She really didn’t take heed of the golden haired girl who had tried apologizing, as she really didn’t mind it at all, other than the fact that Seiri might be a little disappointed she still didn’t have the things she needed.

As Eros arrived on the scene, she kind stepped to the side and held the bags closer to her chest, and as he poked fun at the new guy here at the café, she couldn’t help a small smile coming onto her face. But it really wasn’t her place to be here anyhow, and Odie really should have been in the kitchens five minutes ago, and yet another person, one she actually recognized, sort of merged into the group.

Haru was a nice guy, but really reserved around everyone who worked at the café. It was sort of weird really, considering she didn’t necessarily work there, and yet the boy still avoided all gazes with that reserved look of his. Otter’s curiosity peaked when he asked Eros to speak privately, but she quickly scolded herself for wondering about other people’s personal business.

With the hubbub around her, Odie apparently got lost in the scene, as all attention was focused on Eros, but everyone was still positioned at a point where she thought it to be rude to try to interrupt and push past them. So there she remained, waiting patiently for all of this to dispel, when suddenly Eros decided to call Shima over to assist Blaire around the restaurant, thus making Otter come to a quick decision to make a break for it as swiftly as possible.

Ducking her head, she sort of wormed her way around the masses, making soft apologies for miniscule bumps, but otherwise made it through without any real issues. As she skirted to the left and through the kitchen doors, she came upon the scene of a slightly panicking Seiri and blood dripping onto the floor. A look of horror filled Odie’s features, and she quickly- though carefully- placed the bags on a nearby counter before appearing at her side to assist. She highly doubted that the kitchen held medical supplies, which was a little ironic considering that was where all the sharp, pointy, and dangerous things were located, but went to grab a clean cloth to stem the small blood flow.

“Ah, Seiri, you’re hurt, hold still for just a second…. Do you need any help with stirring or anything? Would you rather me do that instead?” It was a little hard to discern whether she should be focusing more on Seiri or on her food- mainly because the woman always seemed to have a greater concern for the latter, and Odie didn’t want to make her more stressed by asking her to stop working.

Blair nodded silently in response to the decisions made, he let make decisions around him. He didn't mind. As long as they were content with the results he most probably would be. Also, he didn't want to give Eros a reason to change his mind. When Blair had met the man and got the job he seemed kind enough. Also enhanced by the actual reputation of the cafe but Blair didn't know for sure and wasn't about to make assumptions that would cost his job. Although he was somewhat pleased by the decision made by the owner, he didn't mind just serving this one lady. She wasn't unattractive and it would help him actually get into the flow of how things were done here. Although eight hours was a bit of a long shot, there wasn't much reason for her to stay the whole time. He would've like to keep the kittens but having her wait so long was ridiculous. He'll let her take them home, or to a farm once he actually started working.

He was a little bothered by the fact he was getting in everyone's way. First the other girl, then the owner of the cafe of things. There was also the pink haired waiter to contend with and whoever was going to be showing him around. He had made the decision to work here but he doubted he was going to enjoy having such a horrid start. From his experience the first day was usually the worse and when it was this bad he had suffered for the rest of his term of employment.

"Please to meet you Shima, I'm Blair Hallen."

Despite the older man speaking faster Blair caught pretty much everything and could fill in the blanks reliably enough. He silently listened to Shima Shoose's introduction after introducing himself. Answering the question without elaborating. He wasn't the best of cooks and had never engaged in learning many sports, including martial arts of any kinds. Additionally he didn't want to spend too long learning the ropes. Shima had only really pointed out what Blair could have figured. He was thankful though, it did mean he didn't fumble with the basics and that would help him learn more.

"Yes. I'm a waiter, I was just hired. Thank you, I think I can handle it"

He turned to Kezia, coating of his mostly expressionless gloom with a small sincere smile and a larger fake one. He held the door open for her to enter. He put his gentleman demeanor on Over-The-Top mode. He didn't need to try too hard. The upright, butler posture was already there as well.

"Miss Darby, it's a pleasure to meet you. If you would be so kind as to find a seat that suits your fancy I will return with your soup."

He moved off dropping into a back room to remove the dirtied jumper he was wearing, glad to find the uniform underneath was untainted. To his surprise, despite his skepticism he had found that that simple action of inviting Kezia in had brought up a trace of confidence. Perhaps he wasn't going to suffer in this job. Checking that his hands were clean and hair was controlled he returned. Careful not to bump into the young woman who headed out of the kitchen he placed the order for a soup before quickly returning. Although not without a concerned glance at the chef's bandaged finger. He spotted the table Kezia had claimed and headed over.

"Thank you for taking care of them." He said sincerely, if slightly guiltily. "If you want you could take them to the farm. I don't mind, as long as their home isn't a box on the street. Umm, you never specified what you want to drink."

Image “Ah, Seiri, you’re hurt, hold still for just a second…. Do you need any help with stirring or anything? Would you rather me do that instead?”

"P-Please..." She said, a little hesitantly. She was used to being offered help, but was always anxious to let someone else do the job for a spare moment, even if it was short and quick. She had two reasons for this; one was because she wanted everything to be perfect, and she'd freak out if someone were served something that wasn't perfect, and second was that she didn't want to burden anyone else, "I'd appreciate it if you could help me." She said with a smile at Odera as Lotus seemed to have disappeared from the kitchen and returned with a bandaid as she began to clean up her wound.

" that should do so go on your way now "

"Thank you." Seiri let out a sigh of relief while she then watched, for a second, as she began to clean the floor, "A-Ah, you don't have to do that! I can take care of that, really! You should focus on your job for now!" Seiri said with a smile before saying her thanks again and taking over after Odera helped her. To her, she also wore the same smile and said, "Thanks. You know, you're not that bad of a chef! Who knows, maybe you could have stolen by job before I came here~" She giggled and began to cook again, her finger no longer bothering her as the drama only lasted a mere few seconds in here eyes.

"You mind making a special order?"

Seiri heard her bosses voice call from over the counter as she turned her head for a moment to ask with a confused face, "Special order? Like what? For who?" She questioned, not knowing the definition of a 'special order' since she's really only taken regular orders. A moment later, she sighed and said, "And it's not as if I'd be able to say no, after all. Wouldn't want to be fired after my first few days or working here." She smirked a bit.

Shima saw Odera pass through him and head into the kitchen. A light blush seemed to have spread across the man's face as he forced himself awake and to stare straight rather than turn around. He held the urge to look behind him for quite a while until something else caught his attention. Another man, who entered the cafe, but looked more suspicious than any other costumer, or anyone else in the cafe for that matter.

A small frown appeared on Shima's face as he began to suspect something from the other man who just entered the cafe and took his seat. But he wiped that look off his face and replaced it with a concerned look, rather than threatening, and headed over to him, "Excuse me... sir?" He tapped on his shoulder, to get his attention.

After getting the attention from the suspicious costumer, he said, without realizing, "Sir... if you're here to steal anything, you may want to leave since there's nothing of value in this cafe, other than ingredients. Unfortunately, I have high doubts you'd make it to the cashier if you're headed for the money though..."

He is words were insanely rude, even though he spoke with anxiety in his voice. If someone wasn't listening, they'd be confused if they were offending them, or asking or saying something to them. Because of the way he said it, it was even hard to depict what he was saying.

Just a little while later, after Shima realizing that what he said was rude, he immediately apologized, "S-Sorry! I didn't mean to offend you or anything! A-Are you a costumer here? I'm really sorry for what I said! Hopefully you can forget that?" He begged, afraid he'd be fired for that also.

"Well... I'm not a waiter or anything here... but if you are a costumer who will order something, I could bring one over to you if you'd like?" He offered, in hopes that what he said then would clear out what rudeness he showed before. This was clearly shown since his expression still held that anxious smile, but it was obvious he was nervous.

He minded his own business. He really did. But somehow, a guy decides to come and talk to him casually and throw some rude words at him. What has Leon done? All he had been doing was just sit here and do nothing. Okay, well, maybe he's been a bit too suspicious, but that doesn't gain him the bad words at him. That's just... rude.

But then again, the man apologized later so Leon wasn't really hung up on it. The problem now lies that he has to converse with this man. Leon, for one, is a social-awkward kind of guy. He can't come up with topics to talk with and all he knows is that he can only look around the place to avoid eye contact. But as Leon didn't want any unneeded attention, he tried to end the conversation as quick as possible. "E-erm... It's okay... I don't need... any waiter... I just came here.... to look for my... my kittens... They were... taken by... by someone... who just came in here... so..." He paused abruptly. Just as he turned around, he saw the same box that he was trying to find, alongside with a woman who seems to be playing with the kittens inside.

He quickly got up and slowly approached the woman. "Excuse me... I've found, found my kittens..." He tried to avoid being rude and excused himself from the man who talked to him. For now, he had his eyes set on the box. It only took a few seconds and he was already here. But he was extremely nervous. He didn't know what to say to the woman. What if he said something rude to her without him knowing? Well, whatever he was gonna do, he need to do it fast. He just need to get a hold of the box and somehow escape the cafe.

"Erm, miss... that box... is mine... Can I have it... back?"

Image “I’m certainly not as good as you are. But I do know the basics, I guess. Oh, and I brought some of the things you requested.”

Seiri took a glance at where Odera put down the bag and said with a grin, "Thanks!" She seemed a bit more excited, and pumped up after getting her new ingredients, since she always felt hyped after getting fresh food.

"You should really calm down. It'a not even the lunch rush yet but it looks like you're tying to win a race."

"Well... yeah. I mean, who wants the chefs blood in their soup~?" She asked with a cheerful tone though the thought of it still sickened her since she obviously shivered at the mentioning of it. It was especially obvious since she had a disgusted look on her face.

"For me, all I had was two cups of coffee this morning and my stomach's not too happy about that. S-sorry."

Seiri stared at the owner for a mere moment, a straight expression on her face as she sighed and said in a muttering tone, "What's with men and not eating these days...?"

"I was hoping you'd make me something good."

"Of course I am, stupid!" She said, "Don't start degrading my cooking skills, young man!" She began to lecture him, sort of like a mother and a child, since Seiri was always defensive when people criticized her food.

“Sacrilege! Everything Seiri makes is good!”

Of course Seiri liked to be worshiped and told that what she made was always great, but getting so many compliments in one day was a little abnormal. Still, she didn't not like the feeling, just that she felt a little embarrassed, was all.

"Perhaps you could prepare me something instead. Seiri seems to have her hands full with orders. It would make things easier for her if you cooked for me instead."

Eros then turned to the errand girl, Odera, who replied with saying that Seiri was a better chef, making the cook, herself, giggle a bit underneath the noise of food being made, “Ah, unlikely that would happen since she’s loyal when it comes to cooking people’s food. Plus, mine probably wouldn’t taste half as good as what she would prepare.”

"Well, you could help if you'd like." Seiri offered, "But of course, you don't have to or anything! Just saying if you'd like a little taste of the kitchen. Besides, then you can prove to that man that you're also a great chef. Who knows, maybe you'll be working in here with me one day!" She laughed and got back to work.

"Don't disappoint me."

"There you go again... degrading my skills..." Seiri sighed, but continued to getting to work, deciding she'd work on perhaps a soup for the owner after she'd finished her next set of owners. She turned around and only saw him beginning to doze off.

"Wake me...when you're..."

Finishing up two more sets of orders wouldn't be bad, would it? She learned that once someone fell asleep, with experience from being around her brother all the time, they hardly woke up as early as after a few minutes.

“Incredible how well he can sleep on any surface. Like a cat or something.”

"Oh I'm used to it. Seeing people fall asleep on countertops or while standing up is natural now since Shima's even worse." Seiri rolled her eyes at the thought of her sleeping older brother, "The guy will even sleep on the floor and sometimes during his classes when he was in high school, the idiot."

Apparently, Shima had been forgiven since the man didn't look too angry with him, which he was glad about, even if he was as he responded, "E-erm... It's okay... I don't need... any waiter... I just came here.... to look for my... my kittens... They were... taken by... by someone... who just came in here... so..."

"Kit...tens?" Shima wondered out loud and recalled seeing a group bring a box of them inside, "Oh, those were yours...?" He said to himself out loud again, but a second later, the man had already found who had his objective and walked over there to talk to the woman to try and get the box back, 'Good luck?' He thought to himself, this time.

For a long moment, he began to space out, and in the middle of the cafe, probably looking incredibly odd since he was standing up in the middle of service. Once more, he was beginning to space out and fall asleep, wanting to just pass out, or go home to get some rest since he was really in a need of it.

A moment later, he saw something red in the corner of his eye and recognized it was a long time friend of his, Dae. Well, the two didn't exactly know each other ever since college or anything, since Shima graduated a short while ago, but he did like him as a friend, of course. The sight of the red haired young man made Shima snap out of his sleep as he walked over and said with a wave and a grin, his voice tone changing from polite to much more friendly and open, "Hey, Dae! Nice seeing you again!" He said.

Shima, most times, would speak very politely to everyone he met, including his own family, but when it came to male friends, he acted like any other childish person. While Shima is, after all, a 22-year-old man, he can still look like a regular teenage and immature boy, at some points.

Dae Calse

Dae practically pouted to himself as the man to his right completely disregarded him to… flirt with the waiter. ”Usually people have better manners about these things. And I didn’t really think him one to give up so easily. He was about to get up and wander into the back when a glass suddenly clinked on the counter before him. Easing back into the chair, and eyeing the waiter out of the corner of his eye, Ari picked up the wine and eyed it suspiciously. With how that waiter was giving him a subtle death glare, he wouldn’t have been surprised if he had spat in it while he wasn’t looking. “Hm, thanks. But wine doesn’t tend to like me.” He gave a content smile, but still raised the rim to his lips to take a sip or two to show good faith and gratitude before setting it back down.

He shifted his head to look at the man a few seats next to him, “So, what’s-“ Dae cut his question short as he heard a very familiar voice, and turned his attention away from the black haired man to focus on Shima instead, “If it isn’t the man of dreams himself!” With a spry and friendly grin of his own, Ari greeted his friend with no shame.

“And you as well, of course, though you see me practically every day it seems like it’s been eons and eons since I last saw that beautiful snowy-forest head of yours.” He grinned cheerfully, pointing out both the white and black of his hair in a very nice manner if he’d say so himself. With a little blink, he shifted his gaze back to the man on his right, and figured it’d be polite –or at least wicked fun- to introduce the man who was more or less uninterested with him. “And this is… Well actually I don’t know. What do you say, mysterious stranger? Give us a name, or is it naught for light-hearted ears to hear?” He smirked good-naturedly, directly focused on his face, waiting with eagerness for an answer.

Odera Barlin

With the express of gratitude from Seiri, Odie beamed with happiness, “No problem! Always happy to stop by, whenever possible, at all hours, away from my other stops, any time….” She rambled playfully, but Otter really did love the Café, it was her favorite stop out of her rounds, and she occasionally visited once she was off, she's never missed a day in coming to the Cafe. In fact, she sometimes stayed too long and then had to rush the rest of the day to fill her other orders, but she was content to do so as her manager didn’t seem too miffed about it.

"Well, you could help if you'd like. But of course, you don't have to or anything! Just saying if you'd like a little taste of the kitchen. Besides, then you can prove to that man that you're also a great chef. Who knows, maybe you'll be working in here with me one day!" With a doubtful grin to her comment on cooking, Odie rubbed the back of her neck slightly, “Maybe, if you’re my mentor I guess. But yeah! I’d love to help if you’d have me. It might be easier than running about all day.” She looked up at Seiri with an honest smile and bright eyes. She loved her job and all, and really wouldn’t trade it, but if she could hang out at the café all day and make money while doing it, she wouldn’t be complaining. But her cooking skills were hardly much when compared to Seiri’s, as well as her work ethic. Plus there’s always that little nagging chance she could get in the way or ruin something.

"Oh I'm used to it. Seeing people fall asleep on countertops or while standing up is natural now since Shima's even worse." At the mention of her brother, Odie shifted a bit uneasily with the subtlest of awkward blush on her cheeks, hardly noticeable. He made her more nervous than she usually was around people, so she often tended to avoid him. Possibly for other reasons too. "The guy will even sleep on the floor and sometimes during his classes when he was in high school, the idiot." Odera gave a light chuckle at the comments, and grinned at how Seiri talked of her brother. Sometimes it made her miss her own brother, but not often. He had moved away awhile ago, and she hadn’t heard from him in a long time. They used to be really close, but he sort of poofed without warning, and the relationship sort of died from there.

“So, what should I do?”

Image “No problem! Always happy to stop by, whenever possible, at all hours, away from my other stops, any time….”

Seiri was glad that Odera didn't mind coming by and working when she could. After all, it was nice to have some company in the kitchen since she was the only one in there that worked for hours nonstop. Company was the best gift she could get during her work days.

“Maybe, if you’re my mentor I guess. But yeah! I’d love to help if you’d have me. It might be easier than running about all day.”

"I can imagine it'd be! And of course~ But one day you'll be the one that'll be cooking alone, so keep everything I say in mind! Oh, but call on me if you need any help though." Seiri said, finishing up decorating a small piece of cake that was going out to a costumer.

After the mentioning of her 'idiot' brother, she saw a slight blush on Odera's face, wondering what that meant, but she didn't say anything and just went on about talking about the different places he slept in, like his school, on his engineering job, and other odd places you wouldn't expect a regular person to sleep in.

“So, what should I do?” She heard Odera ask.

"Well..." Seiri began to look through her orders for a quick moment. She didn't want to give Odera anything hard to make, so instead, she just pointed to a few orders that looked quite similar, "Decoration?" She asked, and quickly headed over to a little tray of what appeared to be different sizes of cakes and cupcakes and put it near Odera, "If it's alright with you, mind decorating them? The type doesn't matter, as long as it appeals to you, because then it'll probably appeal to the costumers also~" She said happily.

She then turned back to her work and finally finished Eros's food. She was about to hand it over to the owner, but then noticed that Haru had borrowed the kitchen for a minute and already made him something. A small smile appeared on Seiri's face just then as she went back to the kitchen silently and decided she'd eat it for lunch, or maybe give it to Odera if she had nothing to eat for the day.

"You should come over today." Seiri offered to Odera with a smile, "Maybe come over for dinner or something. It's nice to have people come by every now and then, if you'd like." She said, not minding if she didn't accept since they were all busy in their own ways.

“If it isn’t the man of dreams himself!”

"M-Man of dreams?" Shima laughed, not understanding the term too well, despite how obvious it really was. Still, the term did make him laugh, and you could say that that was what mattered.

“And you as well, of course, though you see me practically every day it seems like it’s been eons and eons since I last saw that beautiful snowy-forest head of yours.”

"You know me." He shrugged with a little chuckle, "Sleeping everywhere, anytime, its easy to forget how long it's been since you last saw someone. And I suppose it has, same for you, with you and your blazing red hair and all." Shima smirked a bit. Despite how odd his hair really was, he actually, somehow, found Dae's hair color odder than his.

“And this is… Well actually I don’t know. What do you say, mysterious stranger? Give us a name, or is it naught for light-hearted ears to hear?” Dae began to attempt to introduce the man next to him, but before that was possible, Shima smiled and introduced himself instead.

"Shima Shoose, nice to meet you, sir." He said, much more polite than the casual way he talked to Dae and his other friends.

A moment later, still waiting for a reply from the dark haired man, Shima turned back to Dae and asked, "Hey, you want any food? Had lunch yet?" He asked, partially since he always wanted to make sure his friends were content and what such, but second was because he, too, was hungry, since anyone could hear his stomach grumble, causing his face to turn a little pink here and there from the embarrassment.

Zeron decided he hated people such as the two beside him now, chattering away and driving him completely insane. If it wasn't for the amount of alcohol currently in his system, he probably would have turned and said something to them by now, along the lines of telling them to shut up and to stop being so cheery. Happy people just bothered him- they obviously did not deserve to be happy, no one did. Happiness was just something made up, for weak people. Something for them to believe in. Zeron knew better though, knew that it was only made up, that no one could ever truly be happy. That was why he was content with being the way he was, sort of depressed he supposed, living with hatred for everyone around him. Even his "friends". The "Player" was simply someone who loved himself so much that he had no love left for the rest.

It didn't help when the child beside him decided to try and introduce him to his friend. Frowning, he turned only slightly, giving the new kid a once over. "Yeah, sure, you too." No, it wasn't nice to meet him, he didn't care to know him. More likely than not he would never see the kid again. Turning front again without actually ever introducing himself, he ordered another drink- stronger this time, please. The waiter gave him a wary look, commenting on how he had been drinking since early morning and should maybe drink some water. It took everything in Eron not to snap at him, and instead politely repeat his request. A moment later another red drink was being sat in front of him. He took a drink, enjoying the sort of burning in his throat as the liquid went down. He watched the waiter leave with a bit of a sigh, then watched the new waitress come out from the back. His entertainment was gone now.

Eros C. Valentino

The God of Love continued to slumber peacefully at the front of the shop. Little by little he felt himself slipping into dream land, but the mumbles and sounds of the shop kept him from slipping away completely. He groaned in annoyance hearing his name from the sea of muffled voices. "Five more minutes..." he pleaded to the who ever wanted him awake. Oh how cruel this world was. Is it so bad for the male to just want to sleep and procrastinate his work? Probably...

By the time he recognized the voice he was now fully awake. He opened one eye peering up at Haru, his attention turned to the sandwich in her hands. His stomach replied for him making another loud growl. "Don't waste food." He groaned as he pulled himself up from his laying position making him sit upright. He smirked at the pink haired girl and stretched his arm out asking for the plate. "You really didn't have to cook, I could have gotten something from Seiri. But It would be such a waste if you threw that out."

He chuckled as he got up and taking the plate from Haru before she could reply. He sat back on the love seat leaving some room for the female to sit with him. He took a bite from the sandwich and smiled. "Not bad," he smirked at her taking another bite. "I might have to fire you from being a waiter and rehire you as a chef." He chuckled at the female.

As he continued to eat he scanned over his cafe. It seems that Haru was right. There doesn't seem much love happening in the building. He watched some of the customers as they went on with their day. He brought his attention to three men two of them he quickly recognized as Shima and his good friend Dea. And another gentle man that seemed to be hating every living soul in this building. He watched as he called on another waiter who brought him a drink. He snarled a little as he watched from a distant. "We're not suppose to be serving alcohol at his time." He gave out a sigh as he continued to watch silently.

Haru's words rung in his head. "I don't see much love going on, it seems more like a cafe to me now." He frowned as he took another bite. Honestly this cafe was the only idea the god had to help the human race find love. But it seemed like it was backfiring, less and less couples seemed to be getting together and more of them seemed to split up. Some would even break up right out side of his lovely cafe. Love is complicated game, so complicated even Eros himself had difficulties playing it.

He looked over at the person sipping his drink. His fingers formed the shape of gun and he pointed them at the male. In his mind it was the arrow he used in the olden days. "Pew" He said quietly to himself pretending to pull the imaginary trigger and hoping it would hit the drinking male. But alas he knew that wouldn't work it wasn't like before where he could just shoot an arrow. He sighed and took another bite of the sandwich. "It's not as easy as it use to be..."

Dae Calse

The man across from him seemed rather tense for a drunk guy, and key twitches of grudging could be seen on his face from his state. Normally that would be a bit irritating, but Dae figured that he was being rather uncouth with this stranger, not to mention drunks shifted emotion fast. He wasn’t a very pleasant guy, that one. But nonetheless, Dae had a keen interest in pushing and prodding to see his reactions and test his bounds. With ones that looked like the mysterious stranger, it wasn’t all that bad of an idea; he should at least know what to look out for.

Ari stretched a bit at Shima’s food query, rubbing the back of his head lightly, “Nah, not at the moment. I’ll catch you later on that though.” He dismissed his friend with a small, content smile, and watched as he walked away. Turning back to the man across from him, he rested his arm on the counter and leaned down a bit on it, “So, are you really not going to give me a name?” His tone held little humor unlike it had previously, not really wanting to piss this guy off any more than he already possibly had. He rested his full attention on the man, waiting to see if he’d answer this time.
