Lillian looked at him sadly, and she blurted out, "I think Charlie is seeing someone else, and then he blames you for ruining my relationship with him, when in reality, it's all his fault, and I can't believe I didn't realize that you're a much better guy than him, and right now I just want to kiss you, but at the same time, I want to kiss Charlie. Everything is all screwed up Jeremy, and I don't want to hurt you or Charlie, so I think it's best that I move somewhere else, and this time you better not follow me."

Charlie couldn't go to sleep. There was no way Lillian could know about him and Marie, and he made sure of that. All he wanted was Lillian to calm down. But that would never happen because Shea a paranoid little girl. She must want the guys after her. That had to be it. Charlie started packing his stuff. He couldn't handle this shit anymore.
Lillian sighed and she shook her head, "Jeremy, I'm not moving back to Texas. I want to start a new life here, preferrably without you or Charlie. I just need a fresh start. I want to forget you and Charlie, the horrible things that have been happening lately. Just go back to Texas, and you can be with someone else. You can do so much better than me Jeremy. I'm just a naive little girl. I'm immature, and I know it's the truth. I'm going to live here, in LA, and you go back to Texas with your parents, and I'll do whatever I decide to do here. Jeremy places his right hand on Lillian's right cheek. He leans his head in and kisses her gently. He pulls his apartment key out of his pocket and hands it to Lillian "Have this. You can live here. No one will know. Charlie won't follow you. I want you to be safe here. Just remember that I love you and if you need anything just call." Jeremy got his wallet and left. He went down to the street as it started to rain.

She sighed softly, and she left the building, going to Charlie's apartment complex, and she went straight to his apartment, and she walked in without knocking.
"Charlie, I just came to tell you that whatever you and I had, that thing we considered as a relationship... that's over. We're over. I'm sorry, but I just can't be with you. For multiple reasons. I'm just going to live alone, here in LA. I'm not going to be with Jeremy either, if that's what you're thinking. I just want to be alone. I know I've been acting naive and immature lately, and I'm sorry, but I'm still only a teenager, I don't need to be in a relationship. And I want to forget everything from before. I'm going to start a new leaf. I'm going to forget Jeremy, you, and everything else. All this drama. The only thing I will remember is Carly. I just wanted to let you know that," she sucked in a deep breath, and she looked down at her feet, waiting for Charlie's response.

Charlie wasn't there. It looked as if the apartment had never been lived in. The furniture was back to where it was when he bought it, every drawer in any room was empty even the kitchen, and everything was spotless. There was even a cleaning cart in the hall as the maid had just cleaned his old apartment.

Charlie's phone rang, and he pulled over. "What, Lillian? I'm leaving, you two obviously need to be together so badly, that you'll stop at nothing, even breaking my own heart, to get together. So, I've done the hard part for you. I'm gone." He hung up without hearing her, and put his phone in the passenger seat.
