|{Personality}|
Aeweth is a Princess through and through. She adores her people and to them, she is the kindest and most caring person they've ever met. However, once getting to know Aeweth, it is easy to see that she is not always this way. She can be selfish and spoiled yet if one were to push through the barriers that she puts up they would find a spirit unlike any they've ever met before. She does not laugh often save for when she's with her brother. However, even that has become a rare sight. She tends to act above people when she does not know them which could be part of the reason that she has no real friends.

Calemiron moved easily, putting up the tent. After he'd done that, Aeweth had thanked him before she'd taken notice of Sérëdhiel speaking to Haldir. The Older Elf, after a few moments, followed the other female towards the fire. The two of them sat and within a short moment Haldir's arm was being unwrapped so that Sérëdhiel could look at the wound. Aeweth was too far away to hear them as they continued to speak though she could not say that she liked the way that Haldir was looking at the female..nor his sudden change in body language.

She did not understand the feeling that was welling up inside of her. Only that she needed to get away from the scene. "Thank you for your help, Calemiron. But, I think that I need some time to myself." She said as she continued to watch those that were by the fire. The male Elf at her side eyed her for a moment before nodding. "As you wish, My Princess. I shall take my leave of you. Until later."

And like that she was standing at her tent alone. None seemed to be paying attention to her..save for the Hobbit. Though, she knew that he would not say anything unless pressed for information. She did not take her weapon with her, the though of protecting herself the farthest thing from her mind at the moment. Aeweth slipped out of the camp, slowly making her way to the stream that was nearby. She was not so foolish as to go too far from the group.

She wished that she knew why it had bothered her so to see Haldir with the other female Elf. She knew that nothing could come of it until Sérëdhiel was no longer bound to Legolas. And the way the King was acting..that wasn't going to happen any time soon. But still. She found herself feeling hurt..and even angry at the Marchwarden.

Aeweth had also been surprised to find that the dark haired Elf could heal. It was something that she'd never seen before. The Princess tried to push the thoughts from her mind but found herself struggling. She stood at the water's edge, simply looking out towards Rohan. It would only be a matter of time before someone realized that she was gone and so she decided to try to enjoy the time alone..for however long she was able..even with the feelings she was trying to push down about Haldir and Sérëdhiel.

Once Legolas had finished helping Valaina with her tent, the female Elf pulled him into the tent. He allowed it, moving easily. As they were now alone..for the most part, the female turned on him. "I am still angry with you. I cannot understand why you refuse to end the binding that you have with that creature. Do you still love her? Is that why you refuse?"

Her words were quiet and so it was unlikely that any would hear them. "I understand your anger, my love. I do not end the binding because it will keep her true to us. After this is all over with I will end it. You have my word. I love you..and that is all that should matter." He kissed her then, hoping that she'd bought his words.

It was as he pulled away that he suggested that they join the others. However, he was soon to notice that Sérëdhiel was sitting and speaking with Haldir. He did not care what it looked like. He made his way with his future Queen closer to the fire before taking a seat near Aragorn. Though he was still not really speaking much, Legolas was still glad that the Mortal did not seem angry with hi.

A few moments passed and that was when the King took notice that Aeweth was nowhere to be seen. "Where is Aeweth?" He suddenly asked Haldir, not caring if he was interrupting. His sister meant everything to him and he would not see her harmed. He turned his gaze to Haldir, eyeing him expectantly.

Sérëdhiel finished healing his wound before Legolas spoke up asking where the princess had gone. Haldir seemed to let reality catch up with him and without a word he slipped away into the trees to look for her leaving Sera alone and she smiled softly. It was very clear to her that the two were fond of each other in fact they reminded her a lot her when her and Legolas were young. If Legolas had the slightest feeling she was in danger he used to take off after her with the same worry Haldir had taken off after Aeweth.

The dark haired elf took the slight commotion of trying to find Aeweth to disappear herself. She could feel her vision starting to blur and the last thing she wanted to do was have one of her gruesome visions in front of everyone. They wouldn't understand and she didn't want to have to explain. Something had changed, that much she knew she could feel it. She was trying her hardest to fight of the vision, but there was only so much she could do and when she was finally alone she lend up against one of the trees and slide down the length of it.

She was watching this vision from third person. It seemed as though it was after Burum's raid. After they had defeated him and things returned to the way the should be. She watched as Aeweth was crowned The Lady of the wood, to watch of Lothlorien for the rest of her days and by her side it was Haldir, but not as her Marchwarden as her King.

She knew then something had changed the course of fate and it was Haldir. Before, her visions had been of Aeweth's death, because of her own brother. However, now that Haldir was growing fonder of her, he refused to let any harm befall her. Her death and Legolas's selfish pride however had not changed.

When she awoke from her vision Daciana's head lay on her lap as if to comfort her and she sighed exhausted. He hand ran along the wolves head. "My lady, he is wearing on your already exhausted mind." Daciana spoke but only the Mountain elf could hear him as he spoke of Legolas. "You have done your job and warned them of this darkness. We should go home." He spoke calmly.

She left it fall silent for a moment before she spoke. "I understand your worry, but I can not run from this Daciana and neither can you." she spoke calmly to the wolf.

Haldir had been taken by the elf, not because he suddenly loved her or because he thought she was beautiful. She was beautiful. but she clearly belonged to Legolas that much was clear simply by the fact that Legolas refused to break the binding that held them together. He was taken by her because fr years he'd wondered who it had been that had saved him, he knew it had to be someone of great healing power. He owed her a lot, yet she refused to take anything and that confused him. He was brought from his thoughts however when Legolas spoke up.

"Where is Aeweth?" he asked Haldir and his blue elven eyes glanced around the camp for a moment and when he could not see her no words were spoke he simply disappeared into the trees to find her.

Haldir had a pretty good sense about him when it came to Aeweth because he felt drawn to her and so where ever she was at that moment there was a soft pull to her and it didn't take long for him to find her. She was unharmed simply at the edge of the water and it looked as though something was bothering her. His steps were light and quite and he doubted she even knew he was there. He was a warrior, sneaking up on enemies was something he was probably something he was a little too good at, especially when he used it on others whom he did not consider his enemies.

He watched her for a moment, before he spoke. She was beautiful. "Aeweth, you scared me. Why did you take off without anyone's knowledge." he breathed concern clear in his voice. "Your brother would have had my head if something would have happened to you."he breathed honestly letting it fall silent for a moment before he spoke again. "May I be so bold as to ask what is bothering you my lady?"

Aeweth was unsure of how long she stood at the water's edge, alone. She was content simply gazing down at the water, allowing the near quiet to calm her. It was only Haldir's voice that suddenly caused the Princess to move, turning so she could see him. "Aeweth, you scared me. Why did you take off without anyone's knowledge. Your brother would have had my head if something would have happened to you." She regarded him only a short moment before she turned back towards the water.

"I am sorry, Haldir. It was not my intention to worry you so." She said, her voice more solemn than it usually was. It did not pass Haldir and he was soon speaking to her again. "May I be so bold as to ask what is bothering you my lady?" Of course he wanted to know what was bothering her. She did not answer him right away, debating in her head what to say to him. She was not pleased at seeing Haldir acting so with Sérëdhiel. It had hurt..badly. Though, she did not understand why.

Haldir was simply her guardian, nothing more. So why, then, did she care how he acted with another female Elf? "Nothing is wrong..I just wanted to be alone for a moment." She finally replied, refusing to look at the older Elf. She hoped that he would not push the question though she knew him well enough to know that he likely would. A short moment later he spoke again, clearly not believing her when she'd said that nothing was bothering her. The Princess suddenly spoke, her annoyance suddenly showing through. "Fine! Yes! Something is bothering me."

She turned to fully face Haldir, her gaze suddenly locking onto him. "What was that?" She asked him. Aeweth did not pause to think that maybe Haldir wouldn't understand what she was speaking of or that her words could possibly lead the male Elf to believe that she had feelings for him. "The two of you should have just went off to her tent..the way you were acting. Perhaps the two of you would be happy spending our trip together." Aeweth suddenly moved then, briskly trying to walk past Haldir though he stopped her. Her gaze shot to him once again. "You will release me, Marchwarden."

He watched as Haldir took off, looking for Aeweth. Legolas was not pleased that the Marchwarden had allowed the younger Elf to disappear. If anything happened to her..he would never forgive his friend. The King turned his attention back to those that he sat with. It was then that he saw Sérëdhiel had left them. He did not know why or where she'd gone nor did he care to find out.

The King soon rose from his seat, pulling Valaina with him. The female moved with him easily, allowing him to lead her back to her tent. They entered together, the female moving quickly to her bedroll. She took a seat, her blue eyes looking up at the King. "Thank you for escorting me back, my love. I know that I have been rather cross with you. Finding out that you're bound to that...creature was nearly more than I can bare. I implore you, Legolas, end the binding. It will only cause us pain the longer you leave it in place."

"Valaina..you know that it is not so easy to end such a tie. The magic that holds it in place runs deep and it has been in place for a long time. It will take.." Legolas suddenly went silent as her felt an intense pain ripping through his body. It was almost as if someone was trying to rip his heart out. Sérëdhiel. Could she really be foolish enough to try to end their bind on her own? It was impossible unless he was willing..which he was not.

Valaina was looking at him with concern though he paid her no attention. He turned and left the tent quickly. He tore through the camp, everyone immediately seeing that he was not pleased and so left him be. Legolas walked quickly, searching out Sérëdhiel. He allowed their connection to lead him to her. It did not take him long to find her. "Sérëdhiel! What did you do?" He already knew...he just wanted to hear it come from her. He looked at her with anger, awaiting her to speak.

She felt something burning her skin, it wasn't an unbearable burn, it was a stale ever present burn, that she'd been feeling for sometime now, she just refused to acknowledge it because she knew what it was, she just did not want to face it. She pulled the long silver chain that hung around her neck from underneath her clothing reveling the ring that Legolas had given her ages ago to bind them. She pulled the necklace that held the ring from her neck.

He was not going to end the binding willingly, she knew that not. What he didn't understand though is it was exhausting her, making her weak. Not mention having to see him pretend to love Valania, sometimes it was hard to believe he didn't. He was much kinder to the future Queen then he was to Sérëdhiel. He refused to see what his father had done to him and she refused to let him continue to be so selfish as to not let her go and let her move on when he was clearly moving on himself.

Daciana seemed to realize that she was doing something she shouldn't when she began to start a fire and he tried to stop her from whatever she was about to do, but she refused to hear him. The magic that bound them was in the ring he'd given her. The fire was small, but it was enough to melt the ring and unbind them. She hesitated as she held the ring above the fire, Daciana was begging her to stop and think things through, but she'd spent too much time thinking about it.

A pain surged through her body as she held the ring over the fire, causing her to drop the ring into the fire. Her chest burned and it felt as through someone was stabbing her. "Sérëdhiel! What did you do?" she head his voice and it didn't sound as familiar to her now as it always had.

She stood, pain raging through her body. She held his eyes and she hoped that she could distract him long enough to keep him from stopping what she started, because she knew it would take longer then a couple minuets to melt the ring back to is original form.

"I am doing what you have failed to do. I'm doing this for the both of us Legolas. We were never meant to be and that is clear to me now, more then ever." She said weakly and she fought the urge to break down, because she could feel herself loosing him, as if she was loosing herself.

He kept his full attention on the princess, he could tell just by looking at her that something was wrong. He'd been with her for sometime no and had developed a sensitivity to when her moods were anything but happy. he may be good at hiding it from everyone else but he was not buying it. "Nothing is wrong..I just wanted to be alone for a moment." she replied pulling him from his thoughts and he sighed, slightly irritated. He couldn't remember what he'd done to her or what anyone else might have done.

"Aeweth, I have known you since you were a child. There is something very clearly bothering you. I can't help you if you refuse to tell me." he breathed sounding a bit harsher then he'd meant to now that they were alone. He didn't even realize that his words sounded irritated, because he'd become that comfortable with her, he felt he could peak openly.

"Fine! Yes! Something is bothering me." the irritation was clear in her voice and he kept his eyes on her. SHe turned to face him and he met her eyes refusing to look away. "What was that?" she asked and it took him no time at all to realize exactly what she was refering to. "The two of you should have just went off to her tent..the way you were acting. Perhaps the two of you would be happy spending our trip together." she practically hissed at him and he rolled his eyes.

Normally the Marchwarden was very gentlemen like and poised when he was around others. He never faltered in his actions, but the young princess did something to him he couldn't quite explain, made him feel emotions he'd never felt and at the moment he couldn't control his frustration with her. She tired to slip past him and before he'd even realized, he'd stopped her grabbing her sternly by her upper arm and reusing to let her go as he held her eyes.

"You will release me, Marchwarden." She ordered but he did not listen, which was out of character for him as for as Aeweth knew, she'd known him as kind and gentle and always following the orders he was given.

"I will not." he breathed simply holding her eyes. "You have formed a conclusion in your head, that could not be farther from the truth my lady. If you think of me that low as to become entangled with some who still very clearly holds your brothers heart, you know nothing of me." he sounded honestly hurt. "My loyalty lies with you, the future Queen. Remember that, because whether you want to believe it or not, your heart is being blinded " he breathed without even realized what he'd said and referring to her ever growing closeness with the younger elf.

"She saved my life. If it wasn't for her, I would not be here. My apologize for showing my gratitude to her." he breathed releasing her. "You should get back to the camp before Legolas has my head." he said still clearly agitated with her accusations and honestly hurt by what she thought of him.

He didn't wait for her to go instead he started to head back himself. He wasn't sure what had come over him, but he couldn't find it in himself to turn around and beg for her forgiveness. If she was to become cross with him this time, he did not have it in him to care. He'd done nothing and he had never been as low as man. Nor would he be bold enough to become distracted by love while he was meant to protect Aeweth.

Aeweth was surprised when Haldir did not listen to her. However, she did not allow this to show. He'd never acted in such a way with her before. "I will not. You have formed a conclusion in your head, that could not be farther from the truth my lady. If you think of me that low as to become entangled with some who still very clearly holds your brothers heart, you know nothing of me." She allowed him to hold her gaze, refusing to look away as he continued to speak. "My loyalty lies with you, the future Queen. Remember that, because whether you want to believe it or not, your heart is being blinded "

The words he spoke then, confused her. She would never be a Queen. Not unless something happened to Legolas, which she would not allow. However, she was distracted as she realized that Haldir was also referring to Calemiron. She did not understand why he would say such a thing. As far as she was concerned, Aeweth did not believe that her heart was being blinded (as the male had said).

The Princess allowed her expression to remain blank, simply allowing the older Elf to continue without interruption. "She saved my life. If it wasn't for her, I would not be here. My apologize for showing my gratitude to her." It was then that Haldir released her and Aeweth took a step back from him. It was not that she thought that he would harm her..she'd just simply felt the need to put space between them. "You should get back to the camp before Legolas has my head."

It was easy to see that Haldir was agitated, he didn't even wait for her, simply turning and heading back towards the camp. Aeweth watched him for a long time, allowing him to disappear from her sight. Only then did she move from her spot. She walked slowly, not wanting to have to see Haldir again. She kept her senses alert though she doubted that she would come across anything.

Within a few short minutes she arrived back at camp. The Princess kept her normal appearance though said nothing to anyone that was still gathered, chatting together. Instead, she immediately went to her tent and pulled the flap closed behind her. Only once she was alone did Aeweth change into something to sleep in and then she undid her hair. Then, she went ahead and got into her bedroll, pulling her blankets up and around her.

She was suddenly fighting tears and forcing herself to be silent. She did not like Haldir being upset with her. She wasn't even sure why she'd thought that he and Sérëdhiel were acting so, now thinking on it. She'd been foolish and now she'd caused a rift between her and Haldir. Aeweth was far too proud to go to him..to apologize. He likely wouldn't even listen. It was likely to be a long next day. After having spent another couple of minutes trying to get her emotions under control she was finally able to calm down a bit though remained curled up in her blankets.

He watched as Sérëdhiel rose. Legolas continued to feel pain shooting through his body. Angry blue eyes gazed at the dark haired Elf. "I am doing what you have failed to do. I'm doing this for the both of us Legolas. We were never meant to be and that is clear to me now, more then ever." She said and it was clear to Legolas that she was suffering as much as he was. She knew that this sort of magic was hell to break. What had caused her to want to do such a thing?

He suddenly took hold of her arm, bringing her closer to him. Another sharp and stabbing pain suddenly ripped through his heart. "Sérëdhiel..you are being rash and foolish. Are you trying to kill us?" The pain was nearly crippling and the King was struggling to concentrate. He moved from her suddenly, ignoring her. There was only one way that she would have been able to try to destroy the ring. The fire...he'd paid no attention to it when he'd arrived.

The Elf suddenly began kicking dirt into the fire, trying to put it out. It took him a few short moments but as the flames finally went out, the pain let up though only slightly. He knelt down, taking a stick that was sticking out of the fire pit and began moving around dirt, looking for the ring. It took a few moments before he found it, picking it it up with the stick. The King looked at it, glad to see that it was still in perfect shape. He rose slowly, turning his gaze back to Sérëdhiel.

"Clearly, you cannot be trusted. I will keep the ring until this quest is done. Only then will I end the binding. My reasons are my own though I know you would never understand." He said, his voice stern. He pulled the ring from the wood, it was now cool to the touch. He then removed his necklace and placed the ring upon it. She would have to get quite close to him in order to get it back unless he willed it. He then placed it back around his neck and back under his shirt.

He was angry with her and that was clear. "There is another way to end the binding...one that is much less painful. However, now that you've already tried to rip our hearts apart, it will take me longer to get the required items and it will take a more powerful spell." His voice had suddenly lost the anger, changing to the kind voice he'd spoken to her with so long ago. "Are you alright?" He asked her with sudden concern. He knew that she was feeling the same pain that he was at the moment and though it was easing off it was still quite painful. He wanted things to go back to the way they had been so long ago..but with Valaina...it was impossible.

The pain was draining, but somehow it was bearable. She didn't want to let them go, it was the very last thing she wanted to do. The longer he they held on though, the worse it would be in the end and every time he kissed Valaina it killed a little more. She could see the anger in his eyes and she wished there was another way.

"Sérëdhiel..you are being rash and foolish. Are you trying to kill us?" he spat and she could tell the pain was getting tto him, the same way it was consuming her. However he moved past her putting out the fire quickly before retrieving the ring the was still in flawless condition, like the day he'd given it to her ages ago. It was shocking honestly, the magic that bound them together, a King and a former princess was possible to strong for them to break.

That thought had crossed the dark haired elves mind several times. She'd thought maybe with time, the magic between them had faded, their binding had weakened. However, this was proof that nothing had faded and both their love and the binding was as strongly held to one another as the day they'd given themselves to each other. She wondered then if Legolas knew this and it was why he refused to do anythign about it.

Sera was lend against the tree weakened by the pain and lost in her thoughts when the king spoke to her. "Clearly, you cannot be trusted. I will keep the ring until this quest is done. Only then will I end the binding. My reasons are my own though I know you would never understand." he said placing the ring upon his neck then and she watched him. That's all he kept saying was that his reason were his own and it drove her crazy! "There is another way to end the binding...one that is much less painful. However, now that you've already tried to rip our hearts apart, it will take me longer to get the required items and it will take a more powerful spell." She sighed, hating that he honestly was so closed off about the entire thing. "Are you alright?"

He finally breathed but his words were much kinder this time and it caught her a little off guard. He confused her, one second he cared and the next he could careless. She wasn't going to argue with him though, at least not now, because she desperately missed the elf he used to be. She stepped towards him, so that they were closer then they probably should be and she held his blue eyes with her own deep blue ones.

"No." she breathed replying honestly "I can not continue on as though we never loved. I understand that you her and that you've moved on, but I can not and I never will. You continue to tell not only I, but her as well that your reasons are your own for not ending this. What are those reasons Legolas?" she was begging for an answer. "You don't have to be your father. It is a simple question my king. Do you love her or do you love me?"

The Marchwarden knew that he'd been to hard on the Princess, but he couldn't help it. He cared for her more then he should and he thought he was letting her know that in his actions, however maybe he was mistaken and he debated going to apologize to her over and over until he was exhausted of thinking all together. He'd paced in the camp until the Hobbit had made him realize what he was doing and then he'd eventually went to his own tent.

He'd not fallen asleep right away, his tent was next to Aeweth's and at one point his keen hearing had thought that maybe he'd heard her crying, but he couldn't be sure. He wasn't sure how long he'd stayed awake alone in his tent replaying their fight in his head and he wasn't even sure why he was dwelling on it. He just knew that by the time he finally crawled into his bedroll for the evening.

He was up before anyone the next morning, that wasn't unusual for the Marchwarden, he'd gotten little to no sleep though. He'd gone out of his tent made breakfast so that it would be ready when the others awoke. He then dressed himself for their arrival in Rohan, before taking down his tent and packing it away. Lastly he readied his and Aeweth's horse. He glanced up to see Cale coming from the woods which confused him, how long had he been out there and why hadn't he been asleep like the others.

He ignored it though, as he finished preparing for their journey to Rohan. They would be there in a couple hours to discuss the danger that was taking place. He assumed they'd be staying in Rohan for a few days so that they could properly rest before they continued to Gondor, which would take quite sometime and be more dangerous then their journey to Rohan had been.

Aeweth had slept in slightly. The turmoil she'd felt the night before had likely caused this. She rose, getting ready as she'd become accustomed to doing. Only once she was presentable and her hair was as she'd been wearing it did she exit the tent. Immediately, Calemiron greeted her happily and offered to pack up her tent. She gave him only a half smile, it clear that something was still bothering her though thanked the Elf.

She was glad to see Legolas..he seemed in a slightly better mood. However, Aeweth made sure to not even glance in Haldir's direction. The Princess took a seat next to her brother and Pippin offered her some food. She thanked him before beginning to eat slowly. It was easy to see that everyone was ready to be in the Human Realm. Aeweth, though her spirits were still down, was excited to see the Realm. She'd read much about it though she knew that it would do her good to actually see the lands, the people.

It wasn't long before everyone was ready and Legolas deemed that it was time to go. Aeweth made her way to her horse and she knew that it had been Haldir who had readied the creature. Gracefully, she pulled herself up onto his back and took hold of the reins. Calemiron moved his horse near Aeweth's for the time being. Within a few moments, the group began the journey towards Rohan.

It did not take long for the group to become spread out, Aeweth's horse was a good deal behind Legolas's and Calemiron had moved towards the back. Pippin rode slightly to her side, quietly singing a song that he thought she needed to hear. It brought a small smile to her face. She knew that they were to arrive in the main city of Edoras within the next few hours. She was still ignoring Haldir and quite apparently. Though, she did not care. He'd been rather cruel the night before and even though she'd started it..she would not be the first to break the silence.

Legolas watched Sérëdhiel as she moved closer to him. He did not move, simply watched her, curious as to what she was doing. There was little space between them as Legolas gazed down at the female, their eyes locking and holding each other. "No. I can not continue on as though we never loved. I understand that you her and that you've moved on, but I can not and I never will. You continue to tell not only I, but her as well that your reasons are your own for not ending this. What are those reasons Legolas? You don't have to be your father. It is a simple question my king. Do you love her or do you love me." Sérëdhiel questioned him and the King found that he was unsure of how to answer her.

He could lie, deny that he felt anything for her...or tell her the truth. He was certain that his silence would not go unnoticed by the woman. "Sérëdhiel...why do you ask such terribly difficult questions?" He asked her at length though there was no anger or hatred in his voice. He spoke to her calmly, in such a way he normally did not. "We are bound, Sérëdhiel..surely you can feel my heart as you once did? You cannot see that it is you that I love?"

In the end, he'd decided to be honest with her. It was tiring on his soul to lie to her. He allowed the walls that he kept up fall slightly, enough for her to be able to be able to feel that his words were true. That he did love her and not Valaina. "That is why I do not wish to end our binding. I am being selfish, I know this, and yet I cannot bring myself to separate myself from you. She is not you. You realize, the reason my Atar originally promised I to Valaina is because her family carries great influence."

That morning, Legolas was up shortly after Haldir though had remained within his tent, taking his time on getting ready. He knew that he likely should have lied to Sérëdhiel the evening before. It would have been easier if she did not know of his true feelings for her. Yet, he could not change what had happened. When he was ready, he exited his tent and then set about packing up everything. It did not take him long and before he knew it, his horse was ready to go. He then made his way over to the fire where it seemed Haldir had already prepared a meal. The King greeted and then thanked the older Elf before sitting to eat quickly.

He wanted to get to Rohan and quickly. They all needed a good rest and it was his hope that it would help them all. Slowly, the others began packing up and then joined them to eat. He was glad when Aeweth finally joined them and it was easy for him to take note that she was ignoring Haldir. However, he did not question it.

"Sérëdhiel...why do you ask such terribly difficult questions?" he spoke much gentler now and she listened. "We are bound, Sérëdhiel..surely you can feel my heart as you once did? You cannot see that it is you that I love?"

She loved him with everything she had and he was admitting to loving her the same. Was love not enough? It was this that she could not understand. She understood the he had a great responsibility to his kingdom as king, but was it all worth his own unhappiness she wondered. She couldn't help but to be bitter towards his Ater, because it was him who'd practically brainwashed Legolas into believing his responsibilities to his people were more important to even that of his own sister and she could see that. Legolas's mother had been so different and she wished now his mother was still around, maybe she could get through to her son like Sérëdhiel failed to do.

"That is why I do not wish to end our binding. I am being selfish, I know this, and yet I cannot bring myself to separate myself from you. She is not you. You realize, the reason my Atar originally promised I to Valaina is because her family carries great influence." he said and his words frustrated her.

She placed a hand upon his face gently and held his eyes as if she felt sorrow for him. "You are so lost my love." she breathed her words like a sad song, her voice was gentle as she spoke to him almost as if she was speaking to a child. "What has happened to my prince." she said demoting him from a king to a prince, not disrespectfully, but because that was who he had been to her once and that how she wanted to remember him. "Ahh, but he has become a king." she whispered.

Without another word she left him there and disappeared once again. She would not be able to sleep, her heart was too heavy. The night seemed longer then most and before dawn she changed into something much more suitable to be seen in when they reach Rohan. She only made her presence known as he group readied to leave. For most of the ride to the mortal city she rode next to the mortal king and the two of them carried on simple conversation as he continued to ease her mind. she adored him for that.

Eventually the group left, it bothered him just slightly that Aeweth did not speak to her, nor did she look in his direction however that had no effect on what he was originally on this journey for and that was to watch over her and care for her and so he rode near her. giving her room and simply being a guardian, her shadow there if she needed to call upon he. He spoke not a single word as they rode into Rohan.

They were greeted and escorted into the city by Éomer's guards. People stared at them, they were quite the odd group. They were mad up mostly of elves, but among them a single human and a hobbit, but humans had seen elves. They'd just never seen so many royal bloodlines traveling together. Legolas King of Mirkwood, at his side the Princess of Mirkwood and unbeknownst to others, the soon to be Queen of Lothlorien, Aragorn King of Gondor, Valania the future Queen of Mirkwood, and SĂ©rĂ«dhiel the lost and thought to be dead princess of the Mountain realms. It was an intriging and almost unthinkable sight. Tied together by a Marchwarden, a young elf, and a hobbit.

Legolas, Aragorn, and Sera were taken to meet with Éomer, while the others were meant to wait for orders. Eventually the group emerged, but the Legolas seemed less then pleased with the new arrangements. Sera had explained that Éomer had arranged for their stay but their arrival had been much earlier then he'd thought and so they would have to stay in twos. He figured it would be appropriate for Legolas to stay with his future wife, while Sera and Aragorn stayed together, the Marchwarden with his ward; Aeweth, and the hobbit and the younger elf.

Haldir did not mind, the humans were not aware of the way the elves lived, they were not aware of what was and was not appropriate. Haldir and Aeweth were escorted to where they would be staying he gestured for her to go ahead of him before he went in and shut the door behind him. It was best for them not to argue the arrangements, after all Éomer was letting them stay despite the threat they carried with them.

As they entered the city of Edoras, Aeweth allowed her gaze to take in as much as possible. The Realm of Rohan was clearly not in comparison to that of any of the Elven Realms. Regardless, Aeweth found that she rather enjoyed seeing it. To her, it was a nice change. They were greeted and then escorted into the main part of the city by the king's guards. The Princess could feel eyes on her and it was something that, though she was used to, felt strange coming from beings that did not know who she was.

Before she'd even realized it, they had arrived at the palace. The group brought their horses to a stop, all of them slowly dismounting. Legolas, Aragorn, and SĂ©rĂ«dhiel were led away from the group in order to meet with the Mortal king, Éomer. Aeweth was unsure of how long had passed before the others emerged, her noting how displeased her brother looked. SĂ©rĂ«dhiel explained their sleeping arrangements and when they spoke of Aeweth and Haldir..the Princess was not pleased. She wanted nowhere near the older Elf, the previous night's events still fresh in her mind.

However, the Princess did not allow this to show. It was odd, however. Typically, females were not allowed to stay with males that they were either not related to or bound to. She had to admit that she was surprised that Legolas would allow her to remain with Haldir, even if he was her guardian. The group was soon split up as they were shown to their rooms. Their things were brought along behind them.

It did not take long before Aeweth and Haldir reached their room. Haldir gestured for her to enter and so she did. The room that they were staying in was medium in size and clean..tidy. The first thing that Aeweth noted was that there was only a single bed. She did not comment, simply moving further into the room. After Haldir had entered, two Mortals did as well, depositing their belongings before leaving the two Elves alone.

They would be due to meet with the others later on for a meal and Aeweth wished to wash up and change before that. She did not wait for Haldir to speak, simply picking up a bag that she knew had clothing and such within it and made her way quickly into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. She trusted that the male Elf would not disturb her until she exited again.

She was quick about bathing and then fully drying herself. She then dressed and then did her hair. She knew that Legolas would not be happy with her if she did not look the part of the Princess that she was. She exited the bathroom at last, placing her bag upon one of the chairs that was in the room. The air about her and Haldir was awkward and she couldn't say that she liked it. She stood there, finally turning her gaze to the Marchwarden. She simply watched him. She wanted nothing more than to hug him, to apologize for acting the way she had. Yet, still, she could not bring herself to.

Valaina and Legolas were led away from the group and the King was less than pleased about their current situation. Though he liked Haldir, he did not like the idea of the male Elf alone with his sister. He fully planned on keeping an eye on them as often as he was able. There was a pair of Humans that led the way to the room that they would be sharing. In all honesty, the King would have preferred to stay with Sérëdhiel though he knew that was impossible.

He had thought that confessing to the female that he was still in love with her would have made things easier..but it had not. It only made him long for her that much more. The more he was around her, the more he found himself missing her. However, they could never be. He had to be with Valaina. There was so much riding on the marriage..more than he'd let on to the darker haired female.

They arrived at the room and Legolas allowed his future wife to enter first before following her in. Their things were sat down and within a few moments they were alone. They had some time before they would be joining the king of Rohan for a meal. He decided that it would be best to bathe. And so he did, spending much time simply soaking. He was glad for the solitude. Though, he suspected that Valaina would ambush him the moment he exited the bathroom.

Aragorn was surprised at their sleeping arrangements though..if he had to room with someone he was rather glad that it was Sérëdhiel. With her, he did not have to hide behind a mask. However, if Arwen were to find out he suspected that she would not be pleased with him. It was necessary..he told himself. It did not seem to take long for them to reach the room that they would be staying in. The Mortal King allowed the Elf to enter first, only following once she was in.

After their things were sat down, they were alone. "My lady, we've some time before we are required to meet with the others. The bath is yours if you would like it. I can wait." He offered her a smile, waiting for her reply. A moment later, the Human began to remove his weapons, placing them off to the side and out of the way. He then removed his cloak, taking a seat in one of the chairs, relaxing.

He found himself getting closer to Sérëdhiel, something that was most unexpected. It confused him, made him question everything that he knew. However, nothing could ever come of them. He was married and she was bound. Neither of them would be ending either any time soon. Only once the female was done did he rise and then head into the bathroom to clean up. They'd been on the road for some time and he could only imagine how terrible he looked. He took a bit longer than he normally did, making sure to clean himself properly. If they were going to be eating before the court of Rohan, they all needed to look presentable. Before long, he was drying off and dressed in clean clothing, rejoining Sérëdhiel. Another smile was offered to her. "Legolas has seemed in a much better mood this day..at least until he found out that his sister was to stay with Haldir." He laughed lightly at this. He'd seen how the Marchwarden looked at Legolas's sister though he knew Haldir well. The male Elf would respect her, would not do anything that she did not wish for.

In all honesty Sérëdhiel did not mind the rooming situation. Sure it wasn't exactly ideal, but out of the entire group she'd rather be with the mortal king. She couldn't bare being around Legolas, because he was so different from the elf she'd known. Aragorn allowed her to enter first and their was only one bed, not that she'd be sleeping. It just seemed strange to her, then again humans were strange to her. The King allowed her to bath first she thanked him before disappearing her body was sore from the exhaustion of her visions and the loss of Fillin. It was still painfully fresh however the longer she soaked the better her body felt.

Eventually she had to get out, while Aragorn bathed she readied herself taking her time. She dressed appropriately, before doing her hair up very formally she looked different, much like she had before she'd been forgotten. She looked less wild and more put together, it was easy to see then why Legolas had fallen in love with her in the first place. It was likely a sight Legolas had not seen nor other who did not know her before her disappearance.

"Legolas has seemed in a much better mood this day..at least until he found out that his sister was to stay with Haldir." the man spoke to her as she finished threading the crystal like jewels through her raven colored hair and she glanced to him. He looked handsome, she was dawn to him in a way she couldn't quite explain. She'd always love Legolas and she was bound to him, but Aragorn made her want something different, he almost made her want to be mortal.

She smiled back at him as she stood from the wooden desk she sat at. She took a step towards him. She felt that familiar warmth between them, it was nothing compared to what she felt when she stood close to Legolas, but there was something between them. She ignored the feeling, he was married, happily married. She kept telling herself, it was not known for elves to be unfaithful or to wreck someone else's life because of their own selfish, however Sérëdhiel wasn't like other elves, she was dark, heartless, and vengeful. The darkness was gripping her very light waiting for the right time to rip it from her. On a technical she was on Burzum's side, she just couldn't bare the thought of letting Legolas parish and that was why she'd come to warn him.

As much as she hated what people thought of her, referring to her as a witch and a monster, that's exactly what she'd become. "He's only in a better mood because he feels as though he's done me a justice." she said simply, though their was bitterness in her voice. "He will never be satisfied and it's going to kill the things he holds dear." she shrugged. "No matter though, I refuse to play his selfish games. I will not be one of his pawns." she breathed holding the kings eyes letting him know she was dead serious. "Enough talk of him. I must say I'm rather glad I will be rooming with you over the next few days, It is always a pleasure to be in your presence." she breathed as she took another step forward leaning in and kissing his cheek gently, letting her lips linger their for a moment longer then a friendly kiss, before pulling away and giving him a soft smile.

There was a small tug in the depths of her heart, it was her binding to Legolas as she kissed another's skin. It was ever present, but the pain had faded long ago when she'd sworn his memory away, but she knew even then it was no use. She realized now that their binding was so strong that even if he broke it, she'd still feel him with her and she almost hated him for that.

Haldir didn't mind the arrangement, he felt like he was doing what he was meant to when he was closer to Aeweth. There was a feeling od discontent when he wasn't close to her that he'd come to learn he hated. He felt his self growing too close to her, not that he'd stop it. He was drown to the young princess, the fact that they weren't speaking at the moment was agonizing. He wanted to apologize to her simply because he wanted to hear her voice, he wanted to hug her and hold her in his arms. He shook the thought from his head as they were taken to their room and he allowed the younger elf to go in before him.

She did not speak to him, simply slipped into the bathroom and readied herself. Their room was quite and it was frustrating him. He slipped into the bathroom without another word, bathing himself and thinking on how to deal with the situation. She was just as stubborn as he brother. He figured though, it was in both their best interests if he just got it over with and apologized to her.

He dressed in something a bit nicer then his usual Marchwarden attire. Legolas would not be pleased if he did not dress properly. It was just a dinner, with the mortal King of Rohan and his court, however they would be discussing several very important matters. Some of which would concern him others, that would not. The thought alone was exhausting, but they'd need Rohan on their side if they were to call upon back up.

He emerged from the bathroom when he was finished reading himself, his hair was braided back much more formal then usual. He cleaned up nicely. His eyes feel upon the princess and he was taken back by her beauty, ever time he saw her, he could swear he was seeing her for the first time, she'd grown up beautifully. He sighed softly before he spoke.

"I apologize for the way I acted. It was unlike me and I am unaware why I acted so." he said crossing the room and walking over to her he grabbed her arm gently turing her to face him. "I did not mean to hurt you, that was not my intentions and It will not happen again. I am here to protect you and that means all of you, including your emotions, my princess." he said honestly dropping his hand from her arm. "I understand though if you do not wish to speak to me." he finally finished allowing her time to speak if she wished.

She was surprised when Haldir spoke, breaking their silence. Though, she did not allow it to show. "I apologize for the way I acted. It was unlike me and I am unaware why I acted so." The older Elf made his way to her and took hold of her arm, turning her so that she was now facing him. Aeweth turned her gaze up to the Marchwarden, allowing him to continue. "I did not mean to hurt you, that was not my intentions and It will not happen again. I am here to protect you and that means all of you, including your emotions, my princess." Haldir released her then. "I understand though if you do not wish to speak to me."

The Princess was silent for a moment, simply allowing Haldir's words to run through her mind once again. She could easily tell that he meant the words. She sighed softly before she closed the distance that was between them. She slid her arms about the taller Elf, pulling him into a tight hug. He would never know how much he meant to her. She absolutely couldn't stand the thought of them being at odds and was glad that they were slowly moving past the previous night's events.

"Haldir.." She breathed into his chest. "Of course I wish to speak to you." Could he not see how their silence had tormented her? "It tears at my soul when we are fighting." She was being honest with him and it was clear in her actions. It had been horrible for her..not speaking with the older Elf. "I..fear that I must apologize as well. I was not kind to you."

She was still feeling terrible for the way she'd treated the Elf the day before. She wished to make things better between them. She pulled back slightly, her gaze on the Elf once again. Her gaze held great care for the Elf that she was standing so close to. She slowly slid her arms about Haldir's neck, suddenly bringing them close once again. She then leaned up, plaving a lingering kiss upon his cheek. A moment later she released him, saying that they likely needed to meet the others before Legolas became worried.

After some time had passed, Legolas finally got out of the bath and drained the tub. He then moved about the bathroom, drying himself fully. He then dressed, making sure that there were no wrinkles or any dirt on his outfit. He then brushed out his long hair, not bother to put any braids within it. He simply brushed it back as his father usually did. Only once he was ready did the Elf King place his crown upon his head.

He looked every bit the part of Elf King by the time he finally exited the bathroom. Valaina turned her gaze to him, smiling at the sight of him. "My King, you look ever so handsome." Legolas nodded to her, forcing a small smile upon his face. The woman the went to get ready. She did not take as long as he had but when she exited, she was dress as a future queen should be.

When they were both ready, Legolas offered his arm to the woman. The moment she took hold of his arm the King felt pain at her touch. He ignored it, leading the woman through the hall. He knew that the others would be arriving soon and it would not do good for them to be late. It did not take the King long to reach the dining hall. Éomer was already there, sitting with a few of the importants of his court. The Human king was not married and so no queen sat by his side.

The air of the hall was light as all those already gathered chatted. Legolas and Valaina approached the king and greeted him. "King Legolas, I do hope that your lodgings were satisfactory. Should any of your companions need anything, you've but to let me know." The Human said, a small smile on his face. Legolas thanked him for his kindness before taking a seat next to Éomer.

Legolas chatted with the Human and slowly the group that the Elf King was traveling with joined them. Only those of royalty were sat at the head table with Éomer, the others given seats where they could easily look up at the larger table. The Elf King was most glad when his sister was given the seat on the other side of the mortal King. It was easy for the male Elf to see that Éomer was immediately taken with his sister. "Legolas, why did you not tell me that you're sister was so lovely?" He asked Legolas before turning his gaze to the female at his side.

The meal began and there was much talking amongst those within the hall. For the time being, the air about them was light. It seemed that Éomer was in no hurry to discuss the more serious topics that they would need to speak on. Instead, he had given his full attention to Aeweth, the two of them speaking for the entirety of the meal. His sister's laughter lightened his heart. It had been some time since he'd seen her in such high spirits.

Slowly, the meal came to a close and those that were not in the Fellowship or in the immediate court were sent from the hall. The doors were closed and guarded. It was clear that Éomer did not wish any to hear what they were getting ready to speak of. "Now, we can speak of more important matters." He said, his voice commanding. "Come, friends. Join us up here. There is now plenty of room for all. I would prefer not to yell unless there is need."

Sérëdhiel smiled at him and Aragorn returned it, watching her as she took a step closer. He felt an odd warmth that seemed to flow about them whenever the female was near. It confused him. He loved Arwen, had fought for her. So why, then, did this female seem to draw him in? Her voice broke the silence, the Human suddenly giving Sérëdhiel his full attention. "He's only in a better mood because he feels as though he's done me a justice. He will never be satisfied and it's going to kill the things he holds dear. No matter though, I refuse to play his selfish games. I will not be one of his pawns. Enough talk of him. I must say I'm rather glad I will be rooming with you over the next few days, It is always a pleasure to be in your presence."

He allowed her words to wash over him as he watched her. The female moved closer again, placing a lingering kiss upon his cheek and as she finally pulled away a smile was on her face. "I am most glad as well, my friend. I am glad, as well, that you are not allowing Legolas to get to you. Even I can see how he has changed and it saddens me. But, there is only so much that we can do to help him. He must help himself. Now, give me a few moments. I should very much like to clean up before we are needed."

Aragorn moved from Sérëdhiel then, heading into the bathroom. He was quick to bathe, cleaning himself up. He then changed into a more appropriate outfit, one befitting that of the King of Men. Then, he tamed his hair, pulling part of it back so that it did not look nearly as messy as it normally did. When he was ready, he exited the bathroom and rejoined Sérëdhiel. "We should head down to the dining hall. It will not look good if we are late. There is much that we must discuss this night." Aragorn offered the woman his arm, more than happy to escort the female down to the hall.
