{Appearance}
Despite the great amount of time Pfeiffer spends outdoors, she is only marginally tan due to her penchant for transforming. Her hair, long and blonde, is always adorned with a few feathers of varying colors. She stands at a slight 5'4", but wears at least 3 inch heels if she needs to be out around town. Her body was built for running; healthy, but more lean than muscular. Fife would love to dress comfortably, but she usually only feels comfortable in her fur. She wears dark, tight clothes and a lot of leather. Basically, she wants to look as unapproachable as possible. Fife's been debating on getting a tattoo since she turned 18, but she hasn't yet worked up the nerve to do so.

{Wolf Appearance}
Fife is average sized for a female wolf. Her freshly washed coat is incredibly soft to the touch, but it doesn't stay that way for long. While her fur is naturally a snowy white, it isn't uncommon for it to be stained with mud and debris.

{Personality}
Though she likes to think of herself as an emotionless robot, Pfeiffer and her pack both know that isn't true. This doesn't stop her from claiming it whenever she can though. Anyone who has dared talk to her for longer than 5 minutes could usually figure her out as well. While she wants to avoid human interaction as much as possible, she doesn't like to be actively mean to people. To circumvent this, she relies heavily on her signature glare. Fife believes humanity comes with too much responsibility and sees a potential Hunter in any stranger she meets. Thus, she likes to spend most of her time in wolf form.

To her packmates, Pfeiffer is fiercely loyal and a kind soul. It was probably odd the first time they witnessed the complete change in demeanor from laughing, talking friend to stoney faced witch when in public. Fife tends to roll with the punches and forgives easily. She's got a playful nature and a daredevil streak.

{History}
Pfeiffer was born to a German immigrant mother, Aenne Weber, and an American father, Hank Griffin. Her wolf abilities were inherited through her father, though that is the extent that she knows about his line. He was killed by "a hunter" on a full moon before she was born. Her mother was never sure if her father's killer was one of the fabled Hunters or just some human that thought a wolf was too close to the small town on the coast. Either way, Aenne (aware that her child would also be a wolf) used her husband's connections with other supernatural beings to flee to Bellingstone, Pennsylvania.

Once Fife was born, she was raised with the knowledge of who she was and what she would become. Aenne instilled the thought that her wolf was a gift, but a gift that shouldn't be shared. Along with that wisdom, Fife's mother passed on the stories of monstrous humans that couldn't see past the end of their own noses, the Hunters. Thus bringing about Fife's paranoia that any stranger could be a hunter.

Pfeiffer has been a member of the pack since the age of 9 [ she was an early bloomer, as her mom called it.] Though she has been a member for over half her life, she has never had the inclination to try and advance in the ranks. It all seemed too stressful for Fife. She has always been content to spend her time trapezing through the woods rather than needing to constantly make decisions for others. That said, she has always been driven to make sure she doesn't get treated like the bottom of the totem pole.

The night air was cool and crisp as ever within the downtown area. It was a day of festivities all over the downtown area of Bellingstone and it was quite the spectacle every year. Today was the day that everyone within the town of Bellingstone, Pennsylvania have been waiting for. Founder's Day - A day of celebration and the day that the town was founded by the finding fathers. People have lined up to watch the parade, which was long as always and now people were within the town center, awaiting for their mayor to take the stage and give his normal speech about this fabulous day and now night.

Hidden within the crowd, dressed in a black leather jacket, pants and white t-shirt, stood the alpha of the Wolff pack - Nicholas. He had his arms folded over his muscular chest, blending in with the normal townsfolk. His eyes gazed around as he kept a close eye on his pack, making sure every single one of them behaved. Nicholas turned his head back towards the stage as Samantha was up there now, standing behind the podium and waited until the crowd hushed before speaking. "Welcome, people of Bellingstone to the Annual Founder's Day ceremony." A few people applauded as she waved her hand towards the mayor. "And allow me to introduce the mayor, Mr. Maxwell Carter."

The crowd roared as Samantha stepped aside and Maxwell stood up and took to the podium now, waving with a smile. Nicholas didn't bother applauding but he stood there motionless even. "I thank everyone that participated in today's events and organized everything. Obviously, it wasn't me because things would've been all over the place." There was scattered laughter along with his own as he continued speaking. "I stand proud before you today because of this magnificent display that brings a community together." Maxwell waved his hand towards something that was covered up, a statue more than likely.

"And now, my surprise." Once the sheet was ripped off to reveal the status, a body was also there hanging lifelessly with multiple bite marks and even a few scratches. People gasped, screamed and a few collapsed onto the ground while Nicholas stared at the body, noticing that the body wasn't the attack of a werewolf. The mayor walked closer to the display and broke down. "This is my nephew! Who did this?!" The mayor was in a furious rage and demanded answers as the authorities were starting to arriving. Most seemed like it was implemented by someone else. Nicholas' mind automatically went to one word - Vampire. Those vile and disgusting creatures of nature, well then again, so are werewolves but they do not require human blood to live.

Nicholas couldn't bare witness of this sight anymore as he stepped away, authorities all around investigating especially Angie and Christopher. Nicholas waltzed into one of the nearby restaurants and sat down at an outside table, pulling out his cell phone and sending out a massive text to his pack members.

To: The Wolff Pack
Meet me at Gino's Pizza now. Last one here buys dinner.

Nicholas sent the message while a waitress came up to him and asked what we wanted to eat. He licked his lips while staring at her up and down then shook his head while ordering two meat lovers pizzas. The waitress nodded her head and walked back inside. Nicholas even ordered everyone cups of water to go with their pizza. Nicholas sat there, pondering whether or not the vampires might've done this or not. If it was a war they want, a war they were surely going to get but how can two clans of supernatural being war with hunters also lurking in the mist. His eyes caught sight of the mayor on the phone. Nicholas used his enhanced hearing to listen in. "Desmond. It's time."

Pfeiffer had been at the festival for hours now. She watched the parade from beginning to end and rode every ride, twice. Her spirits were soaring, and she sent a text to Andy to meet her for some cotton candy later. Founder's Day had a habit of bringing out the best in Pfeiffer. Sure, Christmas and Halloween were great, but Founder's Day was her favorite. It was the only day of the year the people of Bellingstone [knowingly, or not] celebrated werewolves. And who doesn't want a party all about them? Today was a good day.

The festivities were winding down for the night. People crowded next the stage and swept Fife with them. She slipped through the forming crowd and stood on the edge. This wasn't her idea of fun. The Mayor told the same joke every year, and every year the people laugh. At least this year, he'd be revealing a new statue. It was always nice to have a new paint gun target.

Pfeiffer had been studying her nails when screams echoed through the crowd. Her head snapped up, expecting a streaker or something to that effect. No, it wasn't a streaker, it was the mayor's nephew. Dead. Clearly, this was a vampire attack. No werewolf would be crazy enough to hang up his kill with a sick sense of pride.

Just when her thoughts were starting to turn grisly, her phone vibrated in her pocket.

To: The Wolff Pack
Meet me at Gino's Pizza now. Last one here buys dinner.

She had already started walking towards Gino's as she returned the text. Bouncing off the rent-a-cop security and fleeing people are she did.

To: Lord Alpha
On my way, your Highness.

Fife arrived as the waitress was dropping off water to the large table Nick had claimed. He had a very severe look on his face, but she was used to it. She often debated if he liked looking like he was sucking on a lemon. Claiming the seat next to him, she flopped onto the chair hard enough to leave an imprint. An imprint on her legs, not the chair.

What could she say that Nick hadn't already thought? This kind of blatant attack wouldn't be good for vampires and wolves alike. Hunters would definitely notice Bellingstone if they hadn't after the tourist 'accident'. Before any of the million thoughts could escape from her brain, she gave a rye smile and joked, "You seem worried."

Pop, bang, pop went the bb rifle as Jo pulled the trigger. The small metallic pellets hit the curtain at the back of the shooting booth after ripping through the paper target. With a click, she reached the end and she stepped back. The owner of the table pressed a button and the paper moved towards her at the same time as her partner did. She glanced over at Tony's target and tried to see the differences between them, but was a little distracted at the way his face looked when it was focused made her pulse race a little. With a shake of her head, she turned her attention back to the targets. Both were barely punctured.

She threw her head back and laughed. "Geeze, Tony! Look at us! We suck at this." She pulled hers off the hook and held it up next to his. She had more on the paper than he did, but those that did hit his were closer to the center, and therefore, meant he had the most points. She sighed, blowing her bangs up out of her face and folded the paper. She stuck it into her back pocket and smiled regretfully at him. "Looks like you win. Good shooting. A bets a bet, I now have to do whatever task you ask of me."

Beside her, the booth owner said, "You win, Son. Pick a medium prize from the stand." Jo averted her gaze to hide her disappointment. She had already picked the prize she wanted from the large, medium, and small prizes so no matter what she scored, she'd have something. The medium prize she had wanted was a medium sized grey and white stuffed husky. Her favorite kind of dog. For more than their close ancestors to wolves. They were smart, adorable, and loved to talk. There was a commotion out by city hall. She picked up the small prize--a small rubber, glittery ball--and she reached to beckon him in that direction.

"Hurry up and pick. I'm sure Al-..." her eyes darted to the man behind the counter before continuing. "Nick would want there in case something happened."

"Looser has to do anything the winner says" Anthony said with a smirk to the lovely lady at his side, noting a similar smile to appear on her face as she nodded before lifting the old BB-gun to her shoulder. Anthony used the first couple milliseconds to admire her posture before he turned his attention towards the target and lifted his own rifle. He could vaguely remember his father trying to teach him some lessons on shooting, but at the time Anthony didn't really have eyes for anything but cars and unlike most teenagers guns just didn't excite him that much.

Since he didn't really have any idea how to properly handle the glorified pea-shooter he just pointed it somewhat towards the center of what he felt was a way too small target and pulled the trigger. The enchanted eyesight werewolves possessed wasn't exactly necessary to spot the lack of holes appearing on the piece of paper. With a sigh Anthony took aim and pulled the trigger a few more times, focusing intense on the target, almost willing the pellets in the right direction. A grin spread across his face as holes finally started to spread. A smile that only grew when he saw that he had beaten Johanna. "Suck? what are you talking about?" he began as he handed the rifle back to the guy behind the counter "The target's dead. Wouldn't call that sucking".

With a nod to the gun-guy Anthony turned his head towards the three shelves with prizes. "Medium? Damn it, I wanted the car" he said with a joking tone while pointing to the top shelf where a remote controlled HotWheels was resting comfortably. "Weeeeellll....." he said with a sigh as he scanned through the different toys on the middle shelf. One object in particular caught his eye, a stuffed husky. Not because he was particularly fond of the breed himself, rottweiler all the way, but he knew that Jo was a big fan of the sled-pullers. "I'll take the husky" he said with a wink towards Jo "First order for the day: Carry this home" as he handed her the stuffed doll, not really wanting to outright admitting that he got it for her.

"Yeah, the great leader will probably get mad" Anthony said and started to walk towards city hall. Something didn't feel quite right about the sounds reaching their enhanced ears. The screams weren't joyful, and the mayors voice sounded more stressed than its normal charming self. With a growing worry in his stomach Anthony picked up his pace, hoping that Jo would follow his lead. A moment later his phone vibrated and he could hear the beep from Johanna's phone as well which could only mean that Nick was assembling the pack. "We're heading to Gino's it seems, we'll walk past the square on our way there" he told her and grabbed her hand before they began wading through the crowd. He couldn't quite pick up what was wrong, but the mayor seemed angry. A moment later Anthony was able to see the stage, he wasn't sure if the much smaller Jo would be able to do it though. "Holy shit. Either the vamps just declared war, or one of us ain't gonna be hungry for pizza" Anthony said before pulling Jo towards the street that housed the pizzeria.

10 minutes of forcing their way through crowd later the pair arrived at the table. "Evnin' Nick. Fife" it wasn't a challenge to read the room, no one seemed to be in the mood for jokes. He shot Fife a smile and a wink nonetheless as he sat down and looked at the glass of water in front of him. "Hey, could I get a beer please?" he asked a passing waiter who gave him a nod and disappeared in to the restaurant.

Heat warmed Jo's throat and up to her ears and she took the stuffed dog from him. She turned so he would see and started walking towards city hall. That's when the screaming started. She was too short to see anything beyond the bright spotlights pointing towards the very top of the statue, but the way Tony was pulling her away from the scene, she was sure it wasn't something she'd want to see anyway.

Didn't stop her from trying. There, just through the crowd. Was it a body? She bit her lip as the wind brought the smell of blood and death towards her. She snapped her head around back around and pulled her phone from her pocket, dismissing the text from "Alpha". She knew what it said anyway. When they reached the table, Pfeiffer and Nick were already there. Their fearless leader seemed to have a permanent scowl on his face and Fife looked like she was trying not to panic. She nodded to Fife and gave a small salute to her alpha.

She sat down next to Tony, suddenly self-conscious about the stuffed dog, but not enough for the word stupid to insert into her thoughts. She did, however, scoot closer to the table so it wasn't as obvious. She was sure Andy would say something about it later. Speaking of, looks like he might be buying. A small smirk formed on her face, but quickly disappeared. Now was not the time for smiling and scheming. At least, not the kind that happened between friends.

[[This was a collab between me and bfb_monster. Since our characters were with each other, we decided to just start off this way. I hope that's alright. This will probably be the only time we do this too just so ya'll know.]]

Nicholas looked up and saw the waitress bring the pizza out along with Pfeiffer entering the premise. His eyes scanned over her as she sat down beside him now. Nicholas stayed silent during the time she was sitting there until she spoke, saying something about him being worried. "Honestly, Fife, I am." He spoke then leaned over towards her. "I just heard the mayor telling someone that it is time. Meaning hunters." Nicholas whispered while leaning back over just as Anthony and Johanna made their way over.

With a slight eye roll as Anthony ordered a beer, he demanded that they both sit down this instance. "All right, you two, listen up, hunters might be coming into our town so we need to be prepared. Got it?" Nicholas said sternly while pointing directly at the duo. He grabbed a slice of pizza and started chewing on it then looked ahead and saw two vampires stuck on the Ferris Wheel. Nicholas wiped his mouth with his arm then stood up. "Excuse me." He said while turning heel and walked up to the door. "Let me know when Andrew and Urainie gets here." He spoke then walked through the restaurant then through the front door, walking over to where the Ferris Wheel was.

Once there, he looked up and saw Remy as he wiggled his fingers up at him. Nicholas watched as the person handling the ride returned and turned on the device, letting people off as their carts and he was happy to see Remy and his date, Eva on the ground. "Long time, no see, bud." Nicholas said while patting Remy on the back, waving towards Eva in the process.

"We need to talk." He pulled Remy into a nearby corner and spoke softly. "We had nothing to do with this. And I damn sure know your vampires didn't do it. It's too sloppy for your guys type of work." Nicholas mentioned but eyed Remy again. "I am hear to warn you, your brother and your coven. Hunters are coming. Be prepared." Nicholas said while leaning against a nearby building with a sigh.

Boy, just when you thought living in Bellingstone couldn't get any worse, it sure is fixing to. Nicholas waited there to hear Remy's responses towards him.

"So, tell me about yourself Ms.Patel."

Urainie couldn't help herself other than blink at the corporate manager that sat across from her- twice for reassurance.
She has gone over many possible interview questions she might be asked and this surely wasn't one of them. How
does one even answer a question describing themselves? Urainie thought to tell them the truth, 'I'm a werewolf
who just so happens to be the alpha female of a renowned pack with others who share the same abnormal abilities
as myself. Oh, and I'm also dating an egomaniac werewolf'
, but that wouldn't be the best option. So, with a flick
of her hair she came up with a lie that would for sure impress, "You see, I am what one might call a
thrill seeker. If I see an opportunity come forth, I'm not afraid to do what is necessary to achieve it."
Then,
she smiled her award-winning smile that was for sure going to grant her the job. And carefully as the man scribbled
ferociously at the notepad in his hand, she managed to lean a few inches in her chair to see what it was he wrote: dull
and overbearing.

For a second, Urainie had the sudden urge to reach across the table, and rip the damn bastard to shreds. But, she
knew better than to cause a scene. Besides there were too many who would witness the horrific catastrophe.
"So," the guy looked up, "how would others describe you?"

It was an easy question, and immediately she thought of her pack-mates. Urainie was nonetheless the stern alpha
female she was raised to be, unlike Nicholas, she knew how to keep them in check even if it meant going through
harms way to do so. "They think I'm a bitch." She finally responded without thought.

The manager blinked, mouth gaping at the air. "Excuse me?"

"Did I say that? What I meant to say was they think I'm hardcore." She tried to clarify,
but it was no use.

"They," the man shook his head in bewilderment, "who's they?"

Mouth dry, Urainie took a quick sip of her coke attempting to sink down the lump that began to form within her
throat. "My kids, of course.." She waited for him to say something, anything, but he
only stared at her in disbelief. "I have four."

"Kids?" he urged on with wide eyes.

"Well, they aren't necessarily mine.." She absentmindedly stirred at her drink with a straw
creating a tornado just vast enough to cause a hullabaloo, or in this case a spill simultaneously her phone
buzzed inside her handbag.

Urainie swore under her breath, but made no hesitation to pick it up, and the man stared eager to end this interview.
"You gonna answer that?" he motioned towards her handbag that was laid flat between them.

Urainie bit at her lip, "Nuh-uh."

"You sure?" The man watched as she fidgeted with the hem of her dress, longing to reach for her phone.

It buzzed again.

"Did I really have a chance at this interview?" Urainie knew she didn't, though she wanted
so desperately to work as an assistant for Swanson O'Dell law firm. It's a job she spent late night dreaming about.
Being able to own a cherry desk that would seem almost superfluous, since there's little to no paperwork to be seen.
A deep burgundy leather desk chair, that reclines to an almost obscene angle. There would've been only two small
table lamps in her office - one near the door atop a wicker table that clashes with the rest of the room's executive
motif, and another on the cherry wood desk with a long brass pull-cord. The absence of overhead light would cast
shadows into the corners, spilling under the desk and over top the framed black-and-white pictures on the wall. The
deep purple curtains would be drawn to one side, allowing the light from outside the second story window to paint
the eastern wall. It highlights a lone filing cabinet, suspiciously locked and coated in dust.

She had it all planned out, and when the manager gave Urainie that same sorry look she's seen many times before
her heart dropped. "Thank you for your sincerity?" She shook his hand firmly with just
enough strength to watch him wince in pain, and quickly pry his hand out of hers.

Then, she was out the door scrolling at the message she had received. It was from Nicholas.

Meet me at Gino's Pizza now. Last one here buys dinner. It read, and a low growl escaped her lips as her nails
began tapping a reply.

To: Nicholas

Oh, this had better be good.

And off she went to meet the others. As soon as she walked through the door immediately she knew something was
wrong. It was total chaos; chairs flung about the room, everyone scattering like roaches terrified with whatever. She
scanned the room for her pack, and found them standing in amid of it all, like lost puppies. She made no hesitation
to approach them. "Oh, my god. What the hell happened here?" She eyed each one of
them, checking for any signs of injuries. "Y'all okay? Where's Nick?" She was going to kill
him for leaving her wolves astray.

Founder's Day. One of Andrew's favorite celebrations of Bellingstone. The festivities were abundant and the crowds were thick with people celebrating and having fun playing the rods and enjoying the games. Although it was a joyous occasion he hated the crowds, it's miserable being around so many faces always his skin crawl. Not from it physically being swarmed, just from the unknown factor that always presented itself in these kinds of situations. Luckily for him, he doesn't favor the festival for the array of faces. Andy favors it for the half priced pie. Hot, homemade, mouthwatering pie that he can down in seconds and keep on going. He was currently sitting at the counter at Anne's, a local dinner he regulars solely for the various pies that they serve, where the alluring smell of baked goods circulating the air, grabbed hold of him. They have a killer strawberry pecan pie that he has to eat at least once a week, and luckily for him they were running specials all week and that's not something he would dare miss, but he would have to cut back remembering the text Pfeiffer sent him about the cotton candy stand. It was just a little while ago, but he was sure he would be able to make room for something that is essentially just spun air.

Halfway through his second piece he started to hear a bit of a commotion outside coming from where the statue unveiling was going to be taking place. At first he paid it no mind, it sounded just like an unveiling should sound like with applause and cheers, but as he continued listening in the cheers quickly turned into of screeches of terror and panic and gasps of horror that stood out and immediately got his full attention. He was on one foot about to run out of the door towards the uproar when his phone beeped three times. It was a message from Nicholas. There wasn’t much to it except to meet him at Gino’s, a pizza place a couple of blocks away. Like always, he didn't bother responding, instead, simply sliding his phone into his pocket. There was no need for,him send a reply, he was the type of person that only needed a reason for doing something, in this case it was the leader telling him to be somewhere. β€œCan you box this? I'd hate to leave it behind.” He said to the waitress behind the counter while pointing to his plate.

Box in hand, Andrew cut his way through one of the larger crowds and panic that had taken hold of everyone. What the hell is going on? He thought as he stepped into Gino's, stopping for a brief second to spot where everyone else was located, making him the last one to show up. He rolled his eyes at the fact and headed towards the group, he was one jerk move away from shutting Jo in the booth when he noticed where she decided to sit but decided against it, instead grabbing a chair, turned it and sat down at the end of the table with one arm resting on his leg. β€œWhat’s going on, I miss anything major? I was held up,” he held the white box up before putting it on the table.β€œand what's going on with everyone? Heard some yelling just before I got the message to get here. And what's with this one?” He pointed to Urainie who looked as though she was going to punch someone and ending his 20 Questions of Catch Up.

Just like that, in a few short words, Nick had brought her greatest fears to life. Pfeiffer swallowed hard, the telltale tingle in her spine left her tapping her feet. She wanted nothing more than to run off into the woods and escape, but she couldn't. Instead, she picked at a hole that had begun forming in her jeans.

When Jo and Tony arrived, together she noted, her fears settled a little. Sure, doom was immanent but they had each other. Though she didn't react to it at the time, she definitely noticed the stuffed thing by Jo's side. Maybe her bro had a little game after all.

Uranie met up with the group after a short while. Fife assured her everyone was okay and reported Nick went over by the Ferris wheel.

Andy showed up in a flurry of questions. Last, of course. Fife failed to hold in a chuckle when he showed his pie box and covered it with a cough. Her face said she was annoyed, but her secretive hand on his knee said she was scared. "Andy, the hunters are coming. Someone, [I'll give you 10 bucks to guess who] killed the mayors nephew. Which is apparently a big deal." She shrugged her shoulders, "Human problems."

Following that sad attempt at a joke, she texted Nick.

To: Lord Alpha
Fearless One, the rest of your entourage has arrived.

Rather than deflect her panic with more humor, she decided to just fill her mouth with pizza. Pizza will make everything better, or so she hoped.

Johanna picked up a piece of pizza absolutely starving. She had avoided food for most of the day to avoid potentially getting sick on the spintastic festival rides, but now as the night was ending and the steam off the fresh pizza was close to making her drool. She blew on the piece before she took a bite to avoid burning her mouth and nearly moaned at the taste of gooey cheese and tomato sauce. Of course, this completely changed after Nick had informed them who was coming. She practically dropped the pizza back onto the tray.

Then Ryan came up to them, practically running, and checked her for injuries. Jo got a hold of her hand and squeezed it. "We're fine, Peaches*. For now anyway." She motioned for her pack mother to sit beside her and said, "Someone was killed and I'm sure we all can take a guess as to who did it." She sighed and looked into Urainie's eyes. "Alpha says the hunters are coming." On the outside, she appeared calm though a little worried, but her hand was squeezing Urainie's.

She let go once Andrew arrived though. All worries forgotten as she remembered what Nick's text had said. She leaned back in her chair, appetite returning as she picked up the piece of pizza. "Glad you could make it, Andy. However, rules are rules. You're buying the pizza and I'll enjoy every free bite." She winked at him and took another bite of the pizza, pushing the terrifying thoughts of the hunters to the back of her mind. Nick would know what to do. She had to trust that he would keep them safe. Besides, being beta means she can protect herself. That didn't mean that she would do it without fear in her heart.

*= I'm trying to come up with a nickname for her for Jo. "Alpha" is Nick and she wouldn't call her anything close to "Mother" because it would remind her too much of how she just up and left her family and hasn't spoken to them since. Peaches are apparently Alabama's state tree fruit so I went with Peaches. This may change though.

Anthony turned his head towards Urainie who seemed a bit too stressed out to sit down. "Well, too be hone-" he started but was interrupted by the arrival of the lowest ranking man in the pack. "Yo Andy, you pay for drinks too right?" he said before turning his attention back to the alpha female. The words were on his lips when Johanna decided to inform Urainie of the situation. "Well, to be exact; our great leader overheard the mayor tell someone ''it's time'' and in a leap that superman would envy, Nick came to the conclusion that he was talking to a hunter" Looking around the table Anthony could see that most of them was at different levels of blooming panic, not really wanting to raise the levels of paranoia he decided he should be the voice of ''reason'' "For all we know he was ordering pizza"

"Oh, and for the body, while I didn't exactly get a good look at the poor SOB all his limbs were intact, and he didn't look particularly mauled so I'm willing to bet on the vamps." With a shrug suggesting that his affection for the mayor's nephew was at a less-than-moderate level, Anthony leaned forward and grabbed two pieces of pizza and sandwiched them before taking a bite big enough to discuss a pig. He was absolutely starving. Jo had been modest with her eating while the two of them was walking around the festival and not wanting to seem greedy Anthony had been just as modest. Sadly his good intentions only resulted in him seeming like a bit of a slob as he downed the two slices in record time. "Thanks" Anthony said with a smile to the waiter who placed a pint of ice cold beer next to his plate.

A deep swig and a satisfied sigh later Anthony turned his head back towards Urainie who had finally taken a seat, though it looked more like she wanted to hunt Nick ((hope you don't mind that uniquest)) "How did the interview go?". It was with a bit of mixed intentions that he asked. In one hand he wanted her to actually get a job she could enjoy, but the real reason he asked was that the table seemed open for a more light hearted topic. At least until Nick came back from consulting with the devils.

Jo quickly asked the waiter who gave Tony his beer if she could have a small cup of ranch dressing before taking another bite of her pizza. It was good pizza... it was just better with some ranch on it. She reached for her to-go cup of water and nearly finished it before realizing just how thirsty she had been as well. That wasn't good. She need to keep better tabs on her fluids. Fainting from heat and dehydration was not something she wanted to do. She gave Tony a skeptical look.

"The mayor was ordering pizza right after his nephew was impaled on his statue? The man is nuts, but he's not that nuts." The waiter returned with the small dipping cup and she dipped her slice inside before taking another bite. Yes. Perfect. Then her gaze turned to Fife who had yet to touch the pizza in front of her. She must've been more scared than she let on. "He does have a point though. Did he say--he being the mayor--a name? The name. You know... Desmond? As in Desmond Joseph Grey? The hunter?"

The pizza was halfway to her mouth before she dropped it and gasped. "Oh my god, I totally forgot about your interview! I meant to wish you good luck this morning! I'm so sorry, Ryan!" She exclaimed, probably louder than necessary, turning towards Urainie and throwing her arms around her neck in an embrace. "How did it go?"

Fife shook her head gently, snapping out of the daze that had held her captive for a short while. "What, Jo?Oh... No, Nick didn't mention any names, but he made it sound like the Mayor didn't either. He just said, 'It's Time.'" Fife finally picked up the pizza she'd been eyeing for quite a while and took a bite. "I guess Tony could be right. There isn't much information there, but I think... in the circumstances, it'd be safe to assume hunters."

It was a scary thought that their town would soon be swarmed with murderers looking for her friends. To make things worse, they would blend right in with the tourists.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she locked eyes with Jo's pizza. "Ranch? On a pizza?" She was amazed, impressed, and a little bit disgusted. "Since when is that a thing, Jo?"

β€œOh, I’ll only pay for the first round Ant. Don’t want anyone thinking I’m flush with cash now.” Andrew smirked. β€œAnd please, Jo, enjoy the food. I’m sure it’s fabulous. It certainly looks good, you can even have an extra one from my part.” He finished, turning to Pfeiffer as her cough grabbed his attention, the irritation painted on her face to which he furrowed his brow and gave a quizzical look while bouncing back and forth between the explanation of the meeting from Anthony and Pfeiffer.

In a couple short words Andy was completely caught up to what was going on. β€œThat explains all the panic.” It was a fistful of information to swallow, but he managed to down it all while an increasingly confused expression washed over him. β€œWell, assuming that it wasn’t any of us, I’d say the Fangers did it, Fife.” He replied to Pfeiffer, resting his hand on top of the one she placed on his knee. He may not have been giving one hundred percent of his attention to her, but he was now. He will always hear a bet when one is given. β€œSo do I win that ten bucks? Could help pay for the food.” He winked. It was an empty attempt at processing all of new information while not folding in on himself. Although it seemed to have worked on the outside, on the inside, he was still full of questions. It would be useless asking any of them more questions as it was highly unlikely that any of them would know anything else, seeing as it just happened, but this was a situation that could easily spiral for all of them.

"The mayor was ordering pizza right after his nephew was impaled on his statue? The man is nuts, but he's not that nuts."

β€œI don’t know. I could go for a good bite after watching someone I care about dead and on display.” He smiled at Jo and grabbed a slice of pizza. β€œI take back what I said about you having a piece of my half of the pizza.” He said winking. β€œMaybe it’s just me, but whether or not the Big Guy called some hunters this whole thing is a messed up and we just stepped in it. 'Til we know who the hell had the balls to kill the friggin’ nephew of the mayor, fingers are going to be pointing at the two most likely groups. And we happen to be one of them.” It was like one large thought bubble came out of his mouth before he could stop it. He usually gives everyone a breather before his rants, but right now he had his mind on other things, there was something about this whole thing that was getting his fur ruffled. It sounded like it was a purposeful placement, that much is clear, it’s the why that was bothering him.

He pushed away his train of thought and started paying more attention to the rest of the group who seemed to have changed the subject over to Urainie. β€œLet's get back to the ranch pizza combo in a moment, Fife. Ryan, How’d it go? Ridiculously straight forward?”

Ignoring Andrew's snide remark, Urainie was scruntinizing Johanna now, lifting her arms and
examining her neck in a manner that was quite irksome. Although, she wasn't the youngest in
the pack, Urainie knew to be more watchful of Johanna considering that she was the smallest
physically speaking. It wasn't until Johanna grabbed hold of Urainie's hand trying to calm her
attentive behavior, and sitting her down at a booth closest, "We're fine, Peaches."

It was the name that Johanna had called her - Peaches - that made Urainie sigh in relief.
"Someone was killed," Johanna continued, "and I'm sure we can all take a guess as
to who did it."

The news didn't seem to surprise Urainie. That's what this town was known for, its residents were
dropping like flies. And Urainie could just guess who, or what the cold-blooded killer was. Those
damn vampires had gone to far trifling about with their dinner in clear view. Now look at
the commotion they are causing. A low menacing growl escaped from Urainie's lips as soon as she
thought of the bloodsucking demons.

Johanna squeezed Urainie's hand for resurrance. "Alpha says the hunters are coming."

Hunters? The word left Urainie feeling at unease. Why the hell were they coming?

A lot of questions were left unanswered, but it was Anthony who pried her from her thoughts,
"How did the interview go?" He asked, and all of a sudden her lovely wolves were
leaning in to hear the story of how their neurotic female alpha was ready to make the manager
from the interview forever paralysied.

"It went well." her voice was a little higher than usual. And she
coughed hoping to change the subject, "So, Nick said the hunters were coming? I
wonder why. And why the hell would he leave you guys knowing that the hunters could
already be in town?"
Shaking her head, she sighed. Then, turned her attention towards Andrew,
and smiled. "So, am I getting a slice of this pie you're tryna hide from me?"

Anthony smiled as he watched the debate around the table. While his goal hadn't exactly been to raise any paranoia about the hunters, it was an obvious, well sort of, debate around the table as to the nature of the attack. At least none of the werewolves showed any signs of being the guilty one. "Thanks Andy" He said and raised the beer in an obvious statement towards the lower ranking male. "And don't worry about a rebellion through town, anyone with half a brain can see that SOB wasn't killed by some vicious beast. All the evidence we know of points towards the vamps" he continued after a sip. Then he turned his head towards the second in command "While I would love to see you kick Nick's ass, I'm going to be honest with you and say that he went for a talk with the vamps." He could see that Urainie was about to ask which one so he answered her question before it was asked; "That french bastard. RemΓ, RemuΓ‘... or something in those lines."

Grabbing another slice of pizza, Anthony took some time to study the company he had. While all of them seemed calm enough, he could almost smell the stress inside them. He felt it as well of course. They were way too easily confrontable at this restaurant. If the mayor, who somehow knew about the supernaturals in his town, wanted to he could easily round up a mob and come after them with pitchforks and torches. "I'm sorry about your interview" Anthony started aiming his words at Uraine as he looked around, feeling like anyone who looked in their direction wanted them dead. Unwillingly he had started to grow just as paranoid, or more so, as the others. " Its up to you of course; But, I think we should go get Nick and retire to my place for the night" he finally finished while taking a suspicious look around. If it was one thing Anthony hated it was actually caring about a situation, and unfortunately the one the pack found themselves in right now was a bit to flammable for his taste.

The last thing he wanted was to seem stressed out, especially around Jo, Anthony couldn't help his hand shaking as he took another sip trying to calm his nerves. It probably wasn't good for the rest of the pack to see him stressed out like this. With Nick gone Anthony was the highest ranking male amongst them, and while he hoped for Urainie to set the example, it wasn't out of the question that it might have a bad impact on the others if he seemed afraid. So with a deep breath or two Anthony managed to regain his cool. "There's a fair chance that I might be getting paranoid" he started in a tone that suggested he didn't really care much about the situation "But I think the handsome fella over there is shooting us daggers" he nodded towards a guy passing by the outside tables. Anthony hoped that none of the others had caught his brief moment of uncertainty, but he knew that the best he could hope for was that no one decided to point it out.

The waiter came back around and dropped off a cup of ranch for Jo who finally released Ryan. She picked up the slice she had been working on (and had dropped several times now) and dipped it into the ranch before taking a bite. Yes, perfect she thought. She nearly choked on the bite at the look on Fife's face. "I've always done it, Fife. Picked it up in middle school. Pizza without it just isn't the same. It's actually pretty good you should give it a try." She slid the small plastic cup towards Fife.

Her seat neighbors on either side seemed pretty tense as the conversation took on a darker tone as discussions on the hunters continued. She wanted to be skeptical like Tony and believe that maybe he was calling someone else. That the hunters weren't coming. That they wouldn't have to fight or fear for their lives. However, she trusted in Nick's abilities to read situations and if the Mayor called for someone after an attack, it was most likely the hunters.

Ryan's near squeak in response to the question about her interview made Jo pause. That only happened when she was either lying, or telling only half of the truth. She smiled sadly at her alpha and said, "I'm sorry, Peaches. I'd hire you if I could. They don't know what a mistake they made not taking you on."

She looked over at Tony and saw his eyes darting around, searching for a threat. She could see his hands beginning to shake. Oh boy. She reached over and tapped his leg, offering her hand palm up in case he needed something to ground him. To remind him that even if there is a threat, they're all here together and are pretty tough in a fight. They did need to retrieve Nick though. He was with Rèmy though which probably meant that Eibhlin was with him. The thought made her heart ache. She turned and saw her Alpha with the french twit and poor Eva standing off to the side, her hair blowing in the wind behind her. Sending Tony over there could be disastrous. Too much testosterone. Sending Ryan would be the better choice, but Jo wasn't sure how she'd react to the vampires after finding out about the body.

"I'll go," She said, wiping her mouth with a napkin. She stood, offered Tony a soft squeeze on his shoulder as if to say "It's alright" and walked towards her alpha and her past. As she left she heard Tony point out a man staring at the group and preyed she hadn't made a mistake and leaving her pack. At least she knew Ryan could kick some serious ass if she had to. Which helped... a little.

She approached the Alpha silently, as she was taught and cleared her throat.

"Alpha. The pack requests your presence at the table." She grinned mischievously. "Andrew's buying."

Fife shot a look at Andy for his dismissal of her. It wasn't something new, but it still got on her nerves. She made rude comments about him in her head. Most were untrue, but it made her feel better to think them. As a distraction, she tentatively dipped the end of her pizza into the ranch Jo had sent her way. The taste was actually pretty enticing, but Jo had already left the table to get Nick.

Ryan's impending explosion seemed like something Fife wanted to miss. Surely, she's fulfilled her duties to the Alpha already, but stayed as a matter of respect. However, she really wanted to get that cotton candy she promised herself. Assuming all the vendors hadn't run away at the sight of a little body mangling. Either way, she was getting antsy about just sitting around and wanted to actually do something.

Pfeiffer tapped her foot lightly against the ground and fidgeted with her hands. Impatience was something she hadn't grown out of yet and she doubted she ever would. The world around her seemed to quiet. There should be laughing and screams of joy, but all she could hear were cops and busybodies trying to figure out what happened to a boy very few people seemed to like. It felt like the absence of noise was crushing her eardrums, leaving her with an earache and a bad taste in her mouth.

Anthony was thankful for the hand Jo offered him, but he didn't take it, mostly because doing so would mean admitting to himself that he was nervous, and this was all about keeping appearances. The little squeeze she gave his shoulder when she left to bring the great leader back to his pack calmed him down considerably. Though his world was probably about to fall apart, at least he still had his pack. "Forget about the ranch Fife" Anthony started while checking to see that Johanna was out of hearing range "only thing that works well with pizza is more pizza". He managed to give her a little wink as he once again grabbed two slices and sandwiched them. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed that the guy who had appeared to be watching them had turned his attention elsewhere, now eyeing some other table with the same glare. Maybe he was jealous that they had pizza and he didn't.

The look in Urainie's eyes when Jo returned with their glorious alpha was so intimidating that as long as it wasn't directed at himself, Anthony found it a bit amusing. Something told him that this wasn't exactly the time to come with 'witty' remarks, so Anthony bit his tongue, only whispering a quiet "Thanks" to Johanna as she sat back down. Hopefully she would be able to get exactly what he was thanking her for. Nicholas pulling Urainie away didn't come to as a surprise to anyone. She was obviously mad, and it was probably a good idea for the alpha to take the heat outside of the packs immediate surroundings. "Now that both of them are busy" Anthony said as he took a sip of his beer to wash down the pizza "anyone done anything funny today? before the dramatic reveal of course." he asked the other three, though the question was mostly aimed at Fife and Andy.

Jo sat back down beside Tony and gave him an encouraging smile. She looked at his pizza sandwich and secretly began to plot putting ranch between the pieces. Then it would really be a sandwich. She took a sip of her water and quietly watched her two alphas. Her smile grew a bit bigger. They were arguing, but it was like having parents again.

Tony did as Tony does and tried to make things feel lighter. It always worked for Jo, but not always for the others. Jo pulled out the target paper from the booth and held it up for her pack to see. "I think this was pretty funny. I'm a lousy shot. It's a good thing I have claws or I'd probably be in trouble."

[Sorry it's so short! D:]
