|Personality|
Art is a happy man. Or at least that's what the world sees. Ever since his wife left him deep down he is struggling and trying to fill that empty void in his life. This makes him a thrill-seeker, he loves to go high-speed in everything he does. Art is passionate about the things he cares about, which isn't a whole lot, but at the top of the list is his daughter. He laughs and jokes at everything when he has the chance. Despite grim circumstances he can still crack a smile and laugh, because without laughter what else is there?

|History|
Art grew up in the Lone Star state of Texas, he ate tons of steak (Medium Rare), played football religiously (Middle Line Backer) and faithfully went to church (LDS). As soon as he graduated high school he joined the United States Air Force, Art always wanted to fly and what better way to get a start than to join the best Air Force in the world? Art stayed in the AF for 3 years and would occasionally come home for leave. Then he met the love of his life, Lucy. They fell in love and soon married. After a while little Charlie was born, just when Art thought he couldn't love anything anymore. They lived happily until over time the AF started to recognize Art's talents. After working hard he eventually joined the 1st Special Operations Wing, he specialized in Search-And-Rescue operations as well as close air support. The primary aircraft he flew was the V22 Osprey, the airplane that transforms into a helicopter within seconds. He is familiar with the A10 Warthog as well. Because of this new responsibility Art was called away on special missions at random times at any place. Since the US is a power player Art left home often and would be away for months at a time without any warning. This started to take a toll on Lucy until it finally peaked and the arguments started. Their relationship was starting to fail. Art did his best to try and mend what was broken but he couldn't just leave good men that also had families to die in the battlefield. He was between a rock and a hard place. Art didn't want to lost Lucy but he really didn't want to lose Charlie. But his wife made an ultimatum.

She left him but luckily Art shares custody of Charlie. Art was hurt badly and because of this he is very cautious of relationships. He would date but would get hesitant to pursue a relationship. Art stayed in the AF until he turned 34, when a terrible accident happened as he piloted the V22 in a SAR operation. After the incident he left the Air Force. Civilian life was hard but he adjusted. He eventually joined with a small airline to fly passengers throughout the tropics of the Americas. This was definitely a dream job to fly to vacation spots and he wanted to share it with Charlie. He has gone on some of these trips before with her but this time they were going to island hop and really check out what the world had to offer.

Day: Friday
Location: Airplane
With a soft sigh Yasmin boarded the aircraft and took her seat by the window. She placed her carry-on near the wall by her feet and pulled out her journal before jotting down a bit of information for her article. She was jotting down bits of details about some of the celebrities that she had heard rumors about. Yasmin enjoyed her job, but the only way she would write something into the media about anyone was if she would be able to find a way to see if the rumors were true. Which is exactly what she was planning on doing once she got back home from vacation.

Once she was finished writing, she closed her journal and slid it back into her carry-on bag and leaned back against the seat as she looked out the window. Yasmin couldn't wait until they took off, she was more than ready to get out of this country right now and spend the next week in France. Though she knew there would have to be one more plane to board before actually arriving.

The pilot came on over the speakers telling everyone to buckle up and get ready for take off and about five minutes later the plane was on the move. The brunette stood to her feet once the plane was safely in the air and headed back into the bathroom to take care of some personal business before returning to her seat.

"Would you like something to eat or drink Ma'am?" the flight attend questioned as she stood there with a notepad and a pencil.

Yasmin sat there for a brief moment before answering, "Sure, could I get a sweet tea and a burger?" she questioned before watched the female jot down her order and walk back into the very small kitchen.

Art sat in the co-pilot's seat and scanned the endless surface of switches and buttons that was laid out in front of him in the cockpit. There was a break just above the instruments that allowed Art and the Pilot to look out in front of them. They could fly blind, something Art has done before, because of the computer assistance but it sure helped moral to be able to look out in the distance. Even if all that a person could see was blue skies.

It sure was nice though, to be flying throughout the Tropics. Art was essentially payed to go on vacations. Many would kill to have the job he had. He just was very fortunate to have the connections he had. especially from the 1st SOW. This is why you need to be good to people because you never knew how it would get back to you.

Art adjusted the headset that he was using to communicate with ground control as he looked at the main Pilot. The man was about a decade older than Art with a slightly receding hairline. He looked a lot older than his true age for some reason, maybe he just had too much stress in his life. Sam the Man, the name that he earned after flying with this airline for two decades. Art made eye-contact and said with a smile ,"Hey Sam, I'm going to go and 'release the Kraken' if you know what I mean." Sam looked back and returned the smile ,"Dont you mean the earthworm? Yeah go for it Art. I have things covered."

Art chuckled and stood up out of this Co-Pilot seat, he stretched out his legs a little bit then continued to unlock the cockpit door. He walked out and was sure to shut the door behind him, ever since 9/11 security was at a premium. Honestly, Art wasn't too worried about any threats. He was a veteran of the 1st Special Operations Wing after all, its not exactly a hire-on-the-spot job. Art did need to use the restroom but he also wanted to check on his daughter, Charlie, who was sitting in the front row. He made his way to her seat but a little blonde flight attendant stopped him for a second,"Art! Hello! Stretching your legs?" She gave him a little side hug. "Ah, Taylor! I just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to rule the plane with an iron fist!" He chuckled back.
"Darn foiled again! By the way once Im done making the food for the passengers I'll send up some food to you and Sam!" She laughed and went back to preparing meals for the passengers. Art nodded and gave her smile as he continued on his course to find a head of curled up and wild brunette hair. Finding Charlie he put his right hand on her shoulder and asked,"How are you holding up, Princess?"

Alot of people were terrified of planes and reasonably so, but not Charlie, she wasn't afraid at all. In fact, as far as she was concerned, this was the safest place in the world. Probably because her father was flying. Easily Charlie's favorite person in the world, the only person who cared about who she was.

Back at home, she was stuck with her mother and her Step-loser, John, who wanted nothing more then to change her into the perfect little stepford clone like he had her mother. Her mother used to be cool, fun, but that was when she was with her father. Now, she was a whatever John wanted to be. It didn't help that the guy flaunted his money around. she didn't want to think of her mother as a gold digger, but she really couldn't say anything to the contrary, after all, why else would she be married to some religious zealot like John, who called her 'Charlotte' and not Charlie like she wanted, her mother used to call her Charlie, now it was.
'Supper's ready, Charlotte.'

She remembered saying. '"Supper? Since when do you say supper?"

That got her nothing but a lecture in back talk from, not her mother, no, that would make sense, instead, John. Charlie had listen for about five minutes -way more than even she expected- before she walked out the door, and all the way to her real father's home.

Being a good guy, he let her only stay the night, after letting her mother know where she was. It was amazing that her mother could really choose John over her dad. He didn't have a superiority complex. Her father let her be who she was, and took her on amazing trips around the world.

As if called by her thoughts, a firm hand touched her shoulder, pulling off her headphones, she smiled up at him.

How are you holding up, Princess?"

She nodded. "Besides being ready to go, I'm groovy." she said with a smile. Where are we off to this time, You never told me...or you did and I totally forgot?" she said, frowned inwardly but then smiled again.

"Besides being ready to go, I'm groovy." she said with a smile. "Where are we off to this time, You never told me...or you did and I totally forgot?" she said, frowned inwardly but then smiled again.

Art smiled wide for his little girl and replied,"Well, I'm thinking that maybe we could hit Bermuda or transfer over to the Caribbean. I'm actually just winging it right now! I figured we would be up for an adventure!" Art looked up from Charlie for a few seconds as he scanned the passengers throughout the plane. The flight attendants were serving food and drinks to the passengers. There was a few in the crowd that just looked happy to be going on a vacation. Some looked nervous, especially this one blonde. Others were checking out some other passengers.

He chuckled and looked back down at Charlie and was grateful that there wasn't any boys up here to be flirting with her. Charlie could start dating boys after she graduated college. That was a very unrealistic reality but a dad can dream right? Art continued,"Honestly, Im just glad we can have some Daddy-Daughter time! First, I need to land this plane and take care of the passengers, ok? There's a blonde behind you a couple rows and she looks more uncomfortable than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Watch this."

Art grabbed a bottle of water from the Attendant's preparation area and walked down the aisle to the very nervous looking blonde. He noticed one of the girl's asked her to put away her phone she switched over to a book and was trying to read it. She still looked uncomfortable so Art just wanted to help her enjoy the flight a little bit.

"Excuse me miss, I couldn't help but notice that you might not be enjoying your flight. I'm Art, one of your pilots for this ride and I try to make sure everyone is happy!" Art paused and handed her a water bottle then continued,"Try not to imagine what the plane is doing, focus on something else like a fond memory. Drink some of this water, it'll help. I also just want you to know I've been flying for almost 20 years, I think we can do this! Is there any other way I can help make your trip more comfortable?" He looked back at Charlie for a second and winked as he waited for a reply.

Jessica sat there trying to focus on her book but something kept on bothering her maybe it was the fact that she was on a plane by herself maybe if she had somebody to talk her through this but she didn't because if maybe she were a little less focused on work she could be out there dating but she had thought she should be focused but now she sees her mistake.

As she was thinking about her dating life (if she had one) a man came up to her tall brown hair nice eyes she looked at him as he was talking he handed he a bottle of water "Well thank you I'm sorry I didn't mean to insult you it's just that I'm very fearful of things off the ground and I don't like being on water to long, I'm sorry I'm rambling it's just that I'm real nervous she said rambling. He continued to speak "It's good to know you have a lot of experience and that does help and I diffidently will take some water you already have been so kind to me I think I'll be alright now and about the good memories from my childhood I have a lot more bad ones then good but beside that why are you being so kind to me? she said trying not to sound weird or trying to ramble it always made her sound weird.

Art paused for a second to take in everything the blonde was saying. She was definitely in the nervous stage because she really melted her words together. Art chuckled,"Well, I just like to make sure that all my passengers enjoy their flight! I know its not very fun when you're afraid of the plane going down, so Im just here to help." Art smiled his pearly whites at her,"Anyways I should probably get going. My co-pilot is probably missing me something fierce. Oh, by the way, my name is Art. Its been a pleasure, miss."

Art turned around and proceeded back up the aisle. Then the plane violently leaned right, causing Art to lose his balance. He caught himself on the back of Charlie's seat. The airliner continued to shake as if an unseen giant grabbed the plane. Art made eye contact with Charlie and reassured her,"We will be fine, buckle up! Then the plane took a sudden deep nose dive. The cabin was filled with screams as the plane started to lose altitude. Art tried to stabilize himself on the walls and seats as he made his way to the cockpit. He entered the cockpit and yelled to Sam,"WHAT IS GOING ON?!" He strapped himself into the pilot's chair and placed a headset on his head.

"I have not idea! The plane isn't responding!" Sam replies as he pulled on the control wheel to pick up the nose. It succeeded but only to a certain degree. They were still losing altitude fast. Art grabbed his steering wheel as well and pulled as hard as he could as well. Only to somewhat stabilize the aerial vehicle. Art switched his headset to come on through the intercom,"This is your Co-Captain speaking, please remain in your seats and buckle your seat belts! Argh!" The plane took another nose dive, Art looked out the windshield and could see that they were on a crash course with a large lush island. Using all of his energy he kept pulling the steering wheel, grunting in pain from fighting the much heavier plane.

The island's green jungle tops were closing in, Art thought of his daughter and prayed that she would be ok. He got back on the intercom,"Assume the crashing position! We are going down!" The plane rapidly flew down to the tops of the trees. "Brace for impact!" Art was able to give one final warning before the nose of the plane made first contact with a large tropical tree. Then loud crunching sounds engulfed the plane, branches of the trees hitting and ripping at the hull, sounding as if a thousand machine guns ripped at the place. The airliner's tail caught onto a huge tree and ripped off causing a large hole, exposing the rear passengers to rushing air. A second later the right wing flew off, also making a hole that allowed air to rush in as whatever wasn't bolted to the ground exited. Art and Sam continued to fight for the plane to land when Art saw a large tree trunk rush into his view.

Then his whole world went black.

"Well, I'm thinking that maybe we could hit Bermuda or transfer over to the Caribbean. I'm actually just winging it right now! I figured we would be up for an adventure!" He said and Charlie beemed. She was so glad be here with her dad. John was NOT her father, and never would be. She couldn't wait til she was 18, she had every intention on living with him. The school she wanted to go to was right where he lived. It would be the perfect excuse, since she was sure he wouldn't want her living on campus.

He looked back down at her with a grin. "Honestly, Im just glad we can have some Daddy-Daughter time! First, I need to land this plane and take care of the passengers, ok? There's a blonde behind you a couple rows and she looks more uncomfortable than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Watch this." He said and Charlie rolled her eyes, with a smile. Her friends made it a point to tell her how 'hot' her father was. It was gross, but she knew it was true for the most part, she wasn't blind. He had an effect on women...she just wish she didn't have to see it. She looked back in her seat, watching her father "Not" Flirt with the blonde woman.

She sat back against the seat, with a chuckle. He was a mess but she loved him for it.

It was then that plane veered right, causing her to grip the seat hard. "Daddy?" Charlie peeped, before looking up to see him there. A worried frown creased her brow, as he looked at her. Worry etched his features as well.

We will be fine, buckle up!" He said, and she nodded, and didn't hesitate to buckle up.

Her heart was racing as she watched her father run to the cockpit. She swallowed. They were gonna be fine, her father was here, he wouldn't let anything happen to her. He told her that, her whole life, she knew it, trusted it and right now, counted on it.
"This is your Co-Captain speaking, please remain in your seats and buckle your seat belts! Argh!"
It was then the plane shifted again, turbulence was the understatement of the year as the plane began to plummet. She left off a horrified squeal, closing her eyes as she heard those stupid masks fall. She didn't know what they were for really but it was never a good sign when they fell.
"Assume the crashing position! We are going down!" She heard her father say. Panic washed over her. She wanted to go to him, and didn't want to be back here by herself. For some reason she turned her head, her eyes opened, and she caught sight of the window beside her. Trees. "Brace for impact!"

It was then something exploded and in a rush of wind, Charlie felt her whole body being yanked. She was still strapped in but her seat didn't seem have the same luck. With a violent jerk, her seat was hanging on by a thread, with one more jerk, the seat was free, and Charlie went spinning out, blacking out from impact.

The last thing she felt was a sharp snap in her leg.

As Joseph finished his lunch, he could not help but see a great number of people around him leaving their seats to converse with the opposite sex. Inwardly, he started to panic. Was he missing something, perhaps a social convention he had not been aware of for his first 19 years on earth. God, he hated social situations. He always embarrassed himself.

Before he could dwell more on his fellow passengers, he felt the plane shake and the co-captain on the intercom trying to reassure them before he screamed and fell silent. Then he heard the words that made his blood run cold.

"Assume the crashing position! We are going down!"

He tried to remember what he was supposed to do. When the masks fell, the person next to him struggled to get hers on. Instinctively, he reached out to help her, but then he felt the plane shake on impact and his head bang into the seat in front of him. His vision blackened even as he struggled to keep his eyes open.

People will need medical attention, he thought as he slumped forward.

Yasmin slowly opened her eyes and blinked a couple times before finding that she was upon the ground and leaned against a tree. She slowly went to stand up and found that her left forearm had been badly cut open. The woman bit her bottom lip as she continued to her feet and immediately held her right hand over the injury in her arm.

Yasmin began looking around, to see if anyone else had survived and smiled when she found the man who had taken the empty seat beside her just moments before the plane crashed to the ground. With a slight cough she found herself beginning to speak, "Hey, found any other survivors yet?" she questioned as she began looking around the damaged parts of the plane that laid scattered upon the ground of the forest surrounding them.

At this point she began looking around, trying to help her new acquaintance find other survivors. After a couple moments, she found herself upon the pilots, the head pilot was unmistakably dead and the co-pilot, he was still alive. "Hey, I found someone," she called to the male, hoping that he would be able to help her pull the male out of the damage.

When Joseph woke up, it was with a splitting headache and a feeling of surreality. He looked around him for half a minute, blinking a little when he noticed that someone was gripping his hand. He blinked. He did not recognize her. She was cute, he noted absentmindedly. She was the sort of person he would be too nervous to talk to under normal circumstances, but then, these weren't normal circumstances.

He removed the oxygen mask from his face. (Was the the one who put it on him? He certainly didn't put it on.) He examined her thoughtfully. She was a little rough around the edges from the crash, but otherwise, she didn't seem to be harmed. Thank God. He smiled encouragingly at her and spoke.

"It's over for now. We... We should find out where we are," he told her. He glanced around with a frown. There seemed to be a few survivors, but others weren't so lucky. He cringed a little at the sight of the bodies. He definitely wasn't ready for this. He pinched his nose before standing up and unlocking the compartment above his seat. With a sigh of relief, he found his first aid kit and his backpack. He could definitely use both.

"Hey, I found someone."

May I examine him?" he asked, gently untangling his hand from the girl's. He stepped over by the unconscious man.

"I have some medical training."

Well, just basic first aid and a year's worth of theory, but it was better than nothing.

"Hey, I found someone."

Nick heard the call from behind him as he bent once more and sighed as his fingers failed to find a pulse on another member. No breathing, no apparent signs of life....She's awake. The thought snapped in his mind as it processed the newly familiar voice. Raising himself from the corpse, he hurried over to the woman once more, coming up just after a youth appeared to help. Something caught his attention a bit away from the aircraft proper as he tried to focus his attention back. He could swear he just saw movement....

"I have some medical training." He overheard as he walked up and looked down at the man built like a brick shithouse lying unconscious in the wreckage. "Where? And how much?" He queried the youth as he hurried over. As he knelt down, he caught the woman's eyes again before his dropped to the gash on her arm. He must have missed it with the smoke and dust before. It wasn't life-threatening, but could become a problem later. The blood that had already seeped out was beginning to dry, and it needed to be cleaned soon. More movement out of the corner of his eye pulled at his attention once again as a piece of wreckage slid off something in the general area he thought he saw something earlier as a tangle of hair was moderately visible. Dropping his eyes down to the unconscious man, he pinched the bridge of his nose and took a breath as he assessed the options.

"Nevermind, it doesn't matter." Nick suddenly said as he sprang into action, disregarding his previous statement to the young man. He unbuttoned his outer shirt and turned it inside out to minimize the amount of dust exposure, leaving him in his v-neck undershirt before folding it in layers and addressing the youth. "Get as much of this wreckage off him as you can safely. Make sure he's stable and try to wake him if you can. Come get me if you find anything significant or questionable." Gently, he pressed his shirt to the woman's arm. "Keep pressure on this." Nick said as he pulled her away a step or two to let the youth work. "See if you can find the concession cart and get the alcohol. The higher the proof the better. See if you can find a needle and thread, check the luggage around and get floss from a toiletry bag if you can't find thread." Before he stepped away, he turned back, grabbing her attention once more. "And hey. Be careful."

Moving quickly through the wreckage, he kept an eye on the location he saw the movement previously. A bit away from the plane, back from where they had crashed in initially he saw a bit of movement once more as more wreckage slid off what appeared to be a pile of it. The copse of hair was visible again as he neared and moved another piece of wreckage to uncover a young girl, still strapped into her seat from the plane. Her chest weakly moved up and down as she drew breath, shifting the wreckage around her and causing it to slide off her. The movement he had seen previously. He cleared the rest off and he immediately noticed the leg, contorted in a sick angle, the skin around it pressed out with the unaligned bones underneath.

Moving her as little as possible to get her out of her seat and clear of the wreckage in a position he could work, he assessed her battered form for any more damage he should be aware of aside from the bumps and bruises. Nick shook his head in disbelief. From the angle and her position relative the fuselage, she wasn't in it when it stopped.

"I need a set of hands over here!" He shouted toward the plane. He needed to set and splint her leg as soon as possible before she woke up. If not, things could get complicated.

While there were some youths out there who would be annoyed at being given orders immediately after they introduced themselves, Joseph was thankfully not among them. Rather, he felt grateful for the man in front of him taking charge. Someone had to and Joe didn't see himself as a leader. So, he bent down and began to work on the unconscious man.

Thankfully there wasn't much wreckage on him. Not enough to leave more than a few bruises and a sore chest for a couple weeks at least. What drew his attention was the laceration cut across his chest. There was blood everywhere and before he could treat the wound, Joe had to clean it up. Thankfully, he had added a bunch of clean rags to his med kit just incase. Thankfully, they were on a beach and salt water was good for cleaning wounds. He dabbed a wag in salt water and got to work cleaning the wound. The salt in the water should act as a bacteriostat and keep the bacteria from replicating. At least, that was what his textbooks said. After he cleaned the man's wound, he eyed it thoughtfully. The cut was less than fourth of an inch deep and wasn't on the face so if it stopped bleeding within ten minutes, it shouldn't need stitches.

He heard a scream and looked up in concern as the girl he sat next to ran from the plane. He felt a pang of guilt. He shouldn't have lefter her alone, but there were people to look after. He glanced down at the man and saw the bleeding had stopped for the most part. He immediately got to work wrapping the wound up. The sooner he treated this man, the sooner her could help the poor girl.

Yasmin nodded her head at the girl's words before speaking, "There is no need to be sorry. You needed a bit of helpful attention as well. If you can't handle the bodies and stuff, you could look around the wreckage area and try to gather all of the suitcases and other things that you think might come in handy that you can and just pile it all up over here near the tree. You don't have to go near the bodies if you can't handle it," Yasmin explained.

She wasn't going to force the girl into doing something she felt uncomfortable with. That was just wrong, Yasmin has been in that position numerous times. Though she would rather choose not to talk about it. The brunette stood to her feet and looked back down at her. "Just don't go too far and if you need anything, please don't hesitate to let me know." she added before heading back over towards the wreckage.

As Yasmin returned to the wreckage to continue helping the teenager, whom she still hadn't gotten his name from and Nick to find and mend the passengers who survived she spotted a blonde around her age still strapped into the seat. She looked unharmed, though that was until she went around to the front side of her body.

The woman had bruises and cuts all over the place. With a deep breath, she held her fingers to her neck, finding that she was thankfully still alive but from the feeling of her pulse, it might not be for long if her gashes aren't mended. Immediately Yasmin just decided to tie the shirt around her arm, tightly to be sure pressure is still upon it and grabbed the supplies she was told to grab for herself and began cleaning the huge gashes.

Yes, Yasmin's injury needed to be tended to as well, but this woman's needed it more than she did. If they weren't mended in a timely manner she could die and she wouldn't want that to be wished upon anyone. Especially if she were able to help them. Yasmin may not have known much about the medical field, but she at least knew how to do stitches. She's had them enough in her past for her to learn.

OOC: Everyone has now been found and has at least begun to be tended to.

When the blonde awoke, she glanced down at her and gave a friendly smile. "Hey, it's alright. You're fine, just try to calm down," she stated to her, noticing that the woman was terrified. She sighed and glanced over her body once more, making sure there were no wounds that immediately needed to be addressed.

"Are you hurt anywhere I didn't get to yet?" she questioned, trying to be sure she got to every life threatening wound.

The muffled thumps of the V-22’s propeller engines filled the air with the scattered deafening sounds of automatic gunfire snapping and cracking all around the cockpit. Smoke filled the vehicle from a RPG hit that was sustained on the right engine, causing the V22 to roll down towards the earth. Art pulled on the wheel and tried to make the landing as safe as possible, something that’s hard to do when you’re falling from 600 feet up. The earth crept up towards the cockpit and the plane finally made contact with the ground. The crunching of metal and the screams of the 8 Navy SEAL passengers could be heard causing a sort of panic within Art. Art heard another scream that didn’t seem familiar to him but as the yell continued he finally realized the source of the sound was himself. He was yelling and grunting as if he was fighting the V22 to stop with his bare hands. But there was only so much he could do as the plane skidded off the land. The behemoth finally came to a stop.

Art was still tense and extremely alert. They were still in hostile territory and the guys that shot down the plane were still coming. Art unbuckled his safety harness and looked at his Co-Pilot, Rhino. They both nodded at each other and went into action. Art went for the weapon storage behind the chairs as Rhino went for the comms to start calling for an emergency evac. Art located 2 HK MP7s, a German SMG designed to be highly portable but still extremely effective. He grabbed all the mags he could and stashed them throughout his flight suit. Art and Rhino already had their standard issue M9s but they needed something with more of a kick.

Art looked at his long-time partner and asked,”Good to go, Rhino?!” His friend replied,”Good copy! Evac is on the way! Let’s move to a defensible position!

With that they kicked open the jammed cockpit door to discover much of the tail had been ripped off. Two SEALs were up and shooting out at targets that couldn’t be seen. One SEAL was frantically trying to reach Command for an evac as well, but after he saw Art and Rhino he stopped, assuming the pilots made a distress call already. Three SEALs were attending to two of their brothers that had taken injuries from the crash landing. The LT bellowed over the gunfire,”We landed next to a farmer’s compound! We should move to it!” Art nodded in approval.

Another explosion hit and it woke Art up.
-------------

Art spasmed upright, screaming and grabbed the figure in front of him by the collar of the shirt.. There was a young man above him attending to Art. Art felt sore and battered, he couldn’t remember why he was on the ground bleeding. His mind was racing at a million miles an hour trying to figure out how he got back in a war zone. Finally, he recognized the young man, he was a passenger on a plane. A plane he was flying. A plane that had just crashed. He looked around to see a few survivors trying to help each other. Most were bleeding, his mouth opened with shock as everything began to sink in.

Art released the collar of his shirt and instinctively reached for his chest. It burned and he felt his entire torso was wet. Art looked down to see a deep gash across his chest. Blood soaked his uniform and covered his hands, he breathed in and laid back out. Then suddenly his daughter filled his mind. Dark skin, brown curly hair and a pearly white smile.

He sat back up and screamed,”WHERE IS MY CHARLIE?!” Art stood up grasping at his chest, but he stood up too fast. He lost a good amount of blood and the crash had thrown off his equilibrium causing Art to stumble. He fell on his knees and for the first time since his wife left him, Art cried. It was his fault that they crashed. It was his fault that so many people were dead. Now he may never see his daughter again. The only entity that kept Art going. Art continued to cry.

”Charlie…”

Pain.

That's what she felt first, her entire body ablaze with pain, most of it though was focused, at her legs.
Then, Fear, Pain and Fear.

Charlie's eyes wanted open but didn't, her chest felt as if something heavy was resting on it. She tried to take a breath but a hard hallow cough exploded from her chest. She gasped and coughed, gasped and coughed. Finally her breathing evened, though it was still a bit shallow.

She forced her eyes to open, they felt as heavy as her chest. "Da..." Was all she could managed, seeing the blurry male figure beside her. "Da--Daaddy..." She groaned heavily. "M--my...It hurts...." She whimpered softly, "It really h-hurts..."She moaned, her fingers twitching, as she wanted to point to her leg, but she had no strength, it was taking all she had to speak, and her eyes were opened to thin slivers, barely letting any light in.

The thought of her father being hurt or worse didn't cross her mind. She knew he was right in front of her. He'd always protect her, so she didn't think twice, about speaking to the male figure before her, even though she couldn't see him. She

"I don't want to die....Daddy...please...."She begged, everything hurt in a way that, she didn't know what to do with. She never felt this much pain before, nor this much fear. She thought she was going to die.

"Daddy....."

ImageJessica heard what the lady had said and thought if it weren't to bed she would like to get up to help the others or look for her bag which had some supplies in it just in case this happened, so Jessica got up and started to walk around.

She wondered on to find what looked like to be a piece of the plane she went down on her knees and started looking when she thought she had seen it in the water since of the neat freak, weird person she was she put everything in sealed bags that wouldn't allow water into it. When she was about to go into the water she had thought of a problem her cut..., so she decided maybe to start yelling to see if anybody would come to help her get her bag which was hooked on to a piece of the metal "Anybody Out there I need HELP....." she said hoping someone would hear her.

No sooner had Joseph finished wrapping up the man's wound than he shot up in a panic, screaming out a name. He felt a pang in his heart at the desperate man's crying. Charlie... That must have been the man's son. He placed a hand on the man's arm and spoke gently.

"You need to rest. You are wounded... You need," he began only to hear a young girl crying out. He looked around and saw a girl not a few feet from him. In a moment he was at her side, examining her condition. She was slumped over her seat, her leg bent the wrong way. He cursed silently.

"It'll be okay," he said gently. He reached down to touch her hand gently, trying to reassure her. Someone else had done quite a good job setting her leg. He gave him a respectful nod. He frowned at her shouts. He wish he had something to dull the pain. Unfortunately, he only had aspirin in his medkit and he didn't know if the airplane served any alcohol or, if they did, any of it survived.

He searched his medkit and was grateful to find that he had the foresight to include a bottle of water just incase. He placed a few aspirins in his hand and offered them to her as he held the bottle close at hand incase she needed water to swallow them.

"These should make it a little better," he told her. Normal aspirin wouldn't do much, but it was better than nothing, he decided.
