History

Gabriella is the fifth born child to Lord Nathaniel and Lady Kaleenna and for a long time their only girl. In front of Gabriella came her four older brothers, and after her a little sister.

Gabriella has been involved with Scotland’s royal family since she was merely a toddler, Her Father was one of the Kings if not the Kings most trusted advisor. She met Rielle when they were three years old, they grew up together, and as they grew up they became more like sisters than friends. Both of them as curious as the other they tended to find themselves in trouble for wandering off. Though their life together was rather short lived as Rielle was sent to France, though even though they were young their bond was strong.

Gabriella hated her childhood, and hated going home, she was tormented by her brother to no end, because for the longest time she was the youngest and only girl. When Rielle left for France Gabriella’s life at home only became more difficult, since her brothers no longer had to fear the Princess being around they took advantage of every opportunity they got to make Gabriella’s life hell. Though even though Rielle was gone a new friendly face was around, Annabelle, the only kindness she was shown after Rielle left was that of Annabelle.

When Gabriella turned fourteen her Mother delivered another child, this time a healthy baby girl named after Scotland's fallen Queen; Alexandria. Little Alexandria brought joy to Gabriella’s life even in the darkest of times.

When word was brought to them that Rielle was returning to French court Gabriella was thrilled, she would get to see her friend after what felt like so long. Though at the same time it was hard for her to leave as she had something that she didn’t want to leave behind, Her sister.
Though Gabriella fears Rielle has changed in ways that she may not be the same loving girl she once was, but since the time she could remember, Gabriella remembered Rielle saying she wanted to be a different Queen a kind, and just Queen...She hoped that was still true.

So begins...

Rielle glanced at the window of her new chambers before looking over at Annabelle and Gabriella who were seated at the table that was set in front of the fire. Their journey had been long and painfully boring, she silently hoped it was all worth it, that there may be some safety now she was back at Court, but no one was really safe anywhere if they had any connection to any Royal, the first thing she had done when she arrived was have four guards posted in front of both Annabelle and Gabriella's chambers and one who would stay in the room while they slept or did work..
"He doesn't really pay much attention to you." Gabriella spoke up when Rielle returned to her seat across the table from Annabelle and herself. "I would have thought the Prince would have been happy to see you after all of these years..." Rielle looked at Gabriella who was obviously more annoyed by the fact Sebastian had been ignoring her than she was.
"Sebastian has always been that way. Even when we were little." Rielle crossed her legs sitting her hands on her lap. "Its the way he was raised I suppose." Gabriella just shook her head.
"It still doesn't give him a right to treat you as if you mean nothing, for one you are a Queen and two you are going to be married one day he should at least show you some kindness." Rielle just sighed a little not replying to Gabriella's comment, she had no intention of thinking about that now, she often wondered if she could call of the engagement but that was dangerous for Ireland and she didn't want to Disobey her Fathers last wishes as King, even if she was a small child at the time. A Servant walked in placing a cup of tea in front of Rielle keeping her head down as she placed one in front of Gabriella and Annabelle as well before leaving the room with a quiet Your Grace.

Sebastian sighed pacing in front of Jason's desk for no other reason than the fact the young Doctor was one of his closest friends and they had known each other for what seemed like years on end. Sebastian glanced at Jason who was leaned back in the chair watching him pace back an forth.
"Your not helping." Sebastian tried not to snap at Jason there really wasn't anything he could do to help. With a groan Sebastian sat down on the bed looking at Jason again.

Annabelle smiled slightly. "I'm sure he will be glad to see you, he's just not very expressive. About anything really," Annabelle says with a shrug. She had known the prince since he was a young child. She thought he was always a rather different child. She had always been rather interested in the Scottish princess but then she was sent away and now she actually knew her. She was nice and friendly and always thinking of others in the most outlandish ways that nobody else would even consider. She was glad to be back and smiled at the familiar feel of the castle. She nodded to the servant who came in with tea, thanking them. They were one of the newer ones so she didn't even know her. "Just know if you ever have trouble we're here for you Rielle," Annabelle says with a gentle smile as she looks at Rielle considerably.

Jason stared at Sebastian as he paced. Jason was sitting in his chair and leaned back as he watched Sebastian pace. He didn't have the same royal problems as Sebastian, the thing with marriage and all that stupid stuff. Jason raised his hand in defense as Sebastian blamed him. "What am I supposed to do? It's not my fault your fiancee has come to eventually marry you," Jason says with a shrug. He looked at Sebastian and leaned forward. "Let me give you some incredible advice my friend. First, you go up to her, second, you talk to her, third, you get to know her and fall in love with her and the two of you get married and you both live happily ever after and give me my own castle," Jason finishes with a smile and joking. He didn't know if Sebastian knew about his past or not, but he wasn't going to leave the castle without permission and getting his own castle would be that exact permission. He didn't blame or rush Sebastian about it, he didn't even push it ever, he just joked about it because everyone would want another castle anyway. "Just talk to her, forget every other girl that you've ever thought about, and focus, before your dad kills you, and or me after he kills you because he gets mad," Jason says entirely joking and knowing Sebastian knew it. Jason stood and sat on his desk, not wanting to sit in his chair anymore because of his restlessness in this situation. Rielle was beautiful, he wasn't going to argue, but her ladies in waiting were also beautiful.

“I’m honestly not to worried about.” Rielle replied. “Arranged marriages aren’t supposed to be fairytale’s, I wish they were but they aren’t.” Rielle put a hand to her head in attempts to stop it from pounding, she had a massive headache that hadn’t subsided all morning, and she didn’t think it would for the rest of the day.
Gabriella rolled her eyes a little taking a sip of her tea before putting it back down. “I don’t understand what it is about royals and insisting on ruining their childrens lives.” Rielle looked down at her hands, she would have shrugged but that was trained out of her when she was little so she simply looked up and shook her head.
“Its politics, if you happen to have a daughter you marry her off to a Prince and make an alliance. Since girls don’t normally take the throne of their own country its not a big deal. Even a Princess that is made Queen of her country must marry, just in that case it isn’t arranged.” Rielle stood and went over to her desk where there was already a stack of papers she needed to go through, she sighed a little taking not even half of the pile and walking back over sitting down starting to skim them, before placing them on the table. “I need something for this headache...Why don’t you two go and do something with what is left of the day, I will see you tonight.” Rielle stood up she really had no need to dismiss her friends and a simple gesture would usually do it.

Rielle walked into the infirmary stopping seeing Sebastian sitting on one of the beds, he turned to face her hearing her come in. “I can come back if this is not a good time.” Sebastian quickly stood up almost in a violent gesture.
“No need, I was just leaving, Your Highness.” He started to walk towards the door stopping when Rielle started to speak.
“You may call me Rielle, there is no need for formalities.” Sebastian growled under his breath pushing past her accidently hitting her shoulder but not turning back to apologize. Rielle looked down at her hands looking once over her shoulder before moving to where Jason was, he looked rather familiar but she couldn’t put her finger on it so she just pushed the thought away. “Just, something for a headache please.” Rielle said quietly with her classic gentle smile.

Annabelle
Annabelle smiled gently after Rielle. She felt like she should try to help the princess, but she knew she couldn't. She wasn't sure Sebastian even remembered her, or cared enough to remember her face ever. She certainly remembered his and she honestly wished she didn't. She didn't want to like him, but he was so beautiful and was always nice to her, and now was engaged to one of her best friends. It was a bad situation to be in and it wasn't something she enjoyed. Annabelle, upon being informed they could do whatever they pleased, stood to go in search of the library. Wanting to find a certain book she had missed from years ago. She had only read it a few times because someone else, the librarian wouldn't say, kept reading the book as well. She walked to the place, looking up to see the book had been moved up to require a ladder. She sighed and looked around before trying to climb, being careful with her skirt and hoping it would be okay.

Jason
Jason was about to say something else when Rielle walked in. He gave a slight wave though Sebastian had a different reaction. "Sebastian, oh come on Sebastian," Jason called after him as he left the room. Jason sighed as he sat back down on his desk before turning his attention to Rielle. He smiled at her apologetically for his friend. "I'm sorry, I'll have to let him explain his, strange, behavior when he feels like it," Jason says with a shrug. He looked at the girl, he hadn't seen her in years. Too many. He was what, eight when he last saw her? Ten? He didn't even know and didn't even care at this point. Jason nodded at her plead. Headaches were an easily solvable thing. "A tonic it is then," He says as he stands and goes to his cabinets, grabbing a few jars and making a small drink before walking back over to Rielle and placing it before her on his desk. With that, he goes back to clean up the mess. "So, happy to be back princess?" Jason asks over his shoulder as he stops up one of the jars. He wondered where Sebastian was off to, but certainly didn't press the matter.

Rielle

Rielle almost felt her heart stop at his question, she hated it in the French court and wanted to be home in her own court where her Uncle was still enjoying her throne even though she had come of age and it was rightfully hers and he was only ruling as a regent in her place he wasn’t a King at all and really had no substantial power.
“Don’t bother with Sebastian.” She said softly to Jason drinking what he had given her. “He has never liked me even when we were nothing more than children.” She thought about his next question very carefully though, she hated french court and to be honest she hated the King and Queen even more. “Of course I’m happy to be back.” She lied smoothing the skirt of her dress down. “Thank you...” Rielle smiled heading for the door stopping in the doorway, his name coming back to her mind she looked over her shoulder. “And Jason, you can call me Rielle. I am after all not very fond of formalities.” She nodded as a goodbye gesture before leaving the room and going about her day.

Gabriella

Gabriella walked into the Library looking for Annabelle knowing that is where she would be, she went aisle by aisle until she found the girl climbing up the ladder. “Annabelle, you're going to fall and get hurt.” she said looking up trying not to yell at her. “Then what are we going to do with you?”

Annabelle
Annabelle smiles down at Gabriella. "I'll be fine Gabby. If I do fall I'm sure you're strong enough to catch me, right?" Annabelle asks jokingly. Annabelle reached for the book, her foot nearly coming out from under her though she catches herself just in time. She breathes deeply, smiling down at Gabby in her relief. "That was close wasn't it," Annabelle asks with a smile as she looks down at Gabby. She takes a deep breath and reaches again for the well worn book. Annabelle came back with the book, smiling down at the cover. She had always loved the title. She couldn't believe that she hadn't fallen in all truth. As she moved to go down, her foot slipped out from under her again. With his however, the book went flying to the floor and Annabelle just barely caught herself in time. She heard the rip rather than felt it and groaned slightly as she stood up. Her dress had ripped and she looked down at the mess when she got down the rest of the way. It wasn't something revealing, but it was something that if she was caught with it by anyone with power, other than Rielle who would be more worried than shocked, well, she would get in trouble.

Jason
Jason looked after Rielle, sighing slightly. He was always good with reading people, he knew she was keeping something from him. Then again, she didn't know who he was, or that she had once knew him. He sighed as he moved to his desk, grabbing papers littering his desk and putting them in order. He wanted to go talk to Sebastian, but wasn't going to bother him. "Ollie, come here girl," Jason called. Out of his rooms came little Ollie, a golden retriever who was bounding and excited about everything. She was such a cute little puppy. "Come on, let's go look for Isabella, she'll be wanting to talk soon about a lesson," Jason says as he stands and starts walking in search of the princess. She was always coming to him to learn about medical stuff and he liked to teacher though he didn't like her in that way. He wanted to go ask her about how her relationship was going though. He never felt guilty about keeping her secret relationship with the stable boy, ever.

Annabelle
Annabelle sighed. Sebastian was acting so different towards Rielle than he had growing up. He had tolerated her every time Annabelle watched though she wasn't so sure he was the same anymore. Then again, if she was to be entirely honest, she didn't really want him to tolerate her... She didn't want to admit it, but she wasn't blind to Sebastian and his looks. She cursed herself mentally. She had always pushed the thoughts aside, knowing her best friend was engaged to Sebastian. That and it could never happen since she wasn't anywhere close to being royalty. "I'm sorry Rielle," Annabelle says gently as she tries to pull her skirts together to avoid anyone seeing the ridiculous tear. "Maybe, oh, I don't know... I guess things are different now," Annabelle says gently.

Isabella & Jason
Isabella shrugged. She wasn't too keen on talking at the moment. In all reality she was wanting to sneak off and go back instead of getting walked back to the castle. She was a strong girl and could take care of herself. Seeing Ollie was a joyful moment that brought a smile to Isabella and had her kneeling onto the ground to pet the dog. "I was just thinking is all," Isabella says with her usual cleverness. When Jason came around the corner, Isabella smiled up at him. He was only a few years, one or two, older than her. Jason walked around a rather large tree. "Hello you two. Does it surprise you Ollie find you first? She's just a genius," Jason asks with a laugh as he walks. "There you are. Come on then, I have to help you get ready and Isabella has to go get in some dreadful dress she doesn't like if we are to have that masquerade ball tonight. Your father is so excited for it oddly enough," Jason says with a shrug. He was going as well though he wasn't as keen about it. He did however have the night off thankfully. "Isabella, what does your mask look like?" Jason asks curiously. Isabella seemed to consider his words as she rubbed Ollie's head. "I think I was planning to go with a white mask that looks like it has snow on it," Isabella says with a tone that indicated she had just decided.

Rielle & Gabriella:
Rielle sighed sinking into the warm water, she would more often than not tie her hair up when having a bath but today she had requested to have it left down, she watched as a few of the servants scurried around her room getting her things ready for the masquerade ball, she didn't enjoy masquerade balls or balls of any sort, she had to dance with person after person in order to keep up a good appearance, in order to keep people from having a fit because a Queen didn't dance with them. She watched them pull out the Midnight blue dress that had been decorated by little crystals to make it look like a starry night, and set the mask beside it which was silver with a few sparkles here and there. Rielle simply closed her eyes relaxing again, savouring the time she had alone.

Rielle moved between her rooms now in the dress as uncomfortably tight as she believed it could be, you'd think she would be used to it after wearing a corset for her whole life but some dresses just drove her insane. She heard Gabriella come into the room and greet her even though she wasn't paying attention at all. Rielle jumped slightly When Gabriella put the mask onto her face tying it tight enough that it wouldn't fall but loose enough that it wouldn't be uncomfortable. "Is that good?" Gabriella asked as Rielle turned with a small smile on her face. "Its perfect Gabby." Gabriella herself wore a ice blue dress and a white mask, Rielle recalled Gabriella telling her that she was going to be Ice. "Is Annabelle ready yet?" Rielle asked carefully putting in earrings brushing her hair which she had left down back over her shoulders. "She said she was going to meet us there." Gabriella replied walking out of the room beside Rielle the usual guards following behind them. Rielle sighed stopping at the door before stepping into the organized chaos.

Sebastian:

Sebastian looked in the mirror securing the mask to his face before looking back over at Jason who had been ready for what seemed like hours. He looked at his desk which seemed to have a new pile of paperwork on it even though he wasn't King he seemed to have more work than his Father did and it drove him absolutely insane. "Lets get this over with." Sebastian grumbled, the usually happy Prince had been in a bad mood since Rielle had literally stepped foot in the castle and had been avoiding her at all costs, his father had spoken to him and wanted the married at the end of the month which was about two weeks away, though Sebastian silently hoped that his mother had talked some sense to his Father at this point since he could barely stay in the same room with her for more than two minutes. "I don't understand my Father obsession with masquerade balls, he seems to be the only one that happens to enjoy them, you can barely tell who anyone is, they are dangerous." Sebastian complained expressing his displeasure to the entire situation. "On top of that it is completely unfair to force me to go." He grumbled as they came to the door taking a breath to calm himself before stepping in.

Jason
Jason smiled over at Sebastian. "I think the dangerous part is why he likes it, it causes everyone to be a little more willy nilly and allows him a chance to claim it was an accident he took the wrong lady to bed. Just to make your mother slightly happier probably. It also gives those that aren't quite as highly ranked as you to get a chance to dance with you, even if they don't know who you are," Jason says with a smile as he picks up his mask. "Come on, don't you think it will at least be a little fun?" Jason asks as he ties his mask into place securely. He was going to enjoy himself as much as he could. He personally enjoyed the balls just because of the food if he was going to be honest. He would dance only if he had to though he wouldn't be surprised if at least one girl dragged him out onto the dance floor. "Just so you know, should you be forced to dance, that is the only time I will not be at your side, I will probably be at the food table," Jason says with a wink as he follows Sebastian. He followed his friend into the ball and almost groaned. He'd be lucky if he could tell anyone apart from anyone else. "So, who will be the first dance?" He asks his friend, assuming Sebastian would either ask a girl, or hide until he was pulled into a dance.

Annabelle
Annabelle rushed around her room. She was terribly late. She had dozed off and now she was going to be late at meeting Rielle at the ball. She was quick as she dressed in her red dress with the help of a servant. The corset was laced uncomfortably tight and she was fidgeting with it in the mirror before she picked up her mask and moved down the hall. She walked quickly, tying the mask on under her hair which was pulled back from her face but still down. She rushed down the hall, her skirt held up in the front and her guard following at a brisk pace though he didn't seem to be too happy about it. Annabelle made it to the doors and adjusted her skirts one more time before entering and looking around, wondering where her friend was. She felt awkward standing at the entrance way alone, but didn't know where else to go. Elaine had said her dress was blue, there were a lot of blue dresses and a lot of girls with black hair. She would have a difficult time finding her friend and she wondered if her friend would have a hard time finding her which was highly likely.
Image

Isabella
Isabella was having a sip of champagne when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Behind her, she turned to see a rather spiffy looking man. Isabella knew immediately who he was. He looked older in the suit she had managed to have Jason sneak to him and the mask that hid the upper features of his face. "Can I have this dance?" He asked softly. Isabella smiled and accepted James offered hand. He led her to the dance floor where he placed his hands perfectly. She danced with him, her rose pink dress moving with them. When the first song ended, they did not switch partners, but continued to dance. They didn't change partners. Not even after the next dance, Isabella continued to dance with him. Her father would be upset perhaps, but he wouldn't know who she was dancing with and therefore couldn't get mad at him and punish him. It was perfect.

Rielle:

Rielle gave Gabriella a sympathetic look when she was asked to dance by a young Lord, she was sure they were all aware of who she was but a ball of this sorts was the perfect time to ask her to dance with them. As she moved onto the dance floor, she noticed that Sebastian and Jason, or who she assumed were Sebastian and Jason walk into the ballroom, she found her eyes lingering on Jason for more than a few moments before she absolutely had to turn her attention to the dance and that of her partner. The dance Seemed never ending and Rielle was thankful when it ended. She noticed Annabelle heading onto the Dance floor with who she assumed was Sebastian though she didn't let it bother her much, she had given both Annabelle and Gabriella permission to do what they wanted during the night instead of following he like lost puppies as they were often expected by other people to do. Not paying attention to what she was doing she walked into a young man, looking him over once she managed to make him out as Jason, who looked rather different dressed up. "I'm sorry Jason, My mind was somewhere else..." Rielle apologized Jason had changed from when they were children from what she could remember anyways, he had filled out his hair appeared to be more of a dirty blonde than the white blonde she remembered it as. He looked rather princely when she thought about it. Realizing she was staring she quickly averted her gaze, holding her hands tightly together, trying to stop them from shaking, she was nervous and a little bit worried about who could have been there.

Sebastian:

"I will be." Sebastian replied seeing Annabelle and excusing himself, he went over to her gently grabbing her arm feeling her jump he just chuckled softly. "Its just me." He whispered softly knowing she would recognize his voice. "Care to dance?" Before Annabelle could open her mouth to make an excuse Sebastian stopped her by saying. "I'm sure Rielle can survive a few minutes without you." Then led her onto the floor where everyone was dancing. "You look beautiful, red suites you." Sebastian smiled starting the dance, he may not have enjoyed Rielle's company in the time she was here when they were younger but he did enjoy Annabelle's they had grown up together as she used to serve his mother, he was rather heart broken when one of his favourite play mates left and for a while he did miss taunting her, but he taunted all of the young servant girls before he learned how to better behave himself.

Gabriella:
Image
Gabriella sighed as Rielle was dragged away from her and decided she was going to avoid the dancing and go get something to drink preferably Wine. Gabby watched Rielle carefully as she stared at the man with Sebastian who she assumed was Jason, even with the masks it was easy to tell Sebastian apart from the crowd. Rielle didn't look as if she were enjoying the dance at all and seemed very glad that it was over though she did seem a little bothered by the fact Sebastian was Dancing with Annabelle, she only knew it was Annabelle because of the red dress she knew it was Annabelle's. Gabby held back a snicker as Rielle walked into Jason, and to stop herself from full out laughing she took a sip from her Wine intrigued as to how the situation would play out.

Annabelle
Annabelle was about to argue more but Sebastian had already pulled her out onto the dance floor. She hadn't danced with him since they were children. She smiled slightly when he complimented her. "Thank you, you look nice too," Annabelle responds, moving easily though she was nervous. Her stomach felt like it had butterflies. She had always liked Sebastian but she knew she shouldn't. Annabelle inwardly shook herself. She couldn't be thinking this. "Enjoying the ball?" She asks knowing he had not liked balls growing up. While Annabelle had stood to the side and served he would stand nearby or would be standing with his mother off to the side. She was a couple inches short so she had to look up at him, but it felt too close. She was nervous, what would others think if they saw her dancing with Sebastian? Personally, she wouldn't care, but she had to care right now. Especially now with the political alliances that weren't entirely certain quite yet. He was to get married anyway.

Jason
Jason had been watching Isabella and James with a smile when he was bumped into. He caught Rielle in time to keep her from falling to the ground or into someone else. "It's fine Rielle, good to see you. You look stunning in that dress," He compliments with a smile. He noticed her discomfort and asked gently, "Is something wrong?" A new song started and he smiled down at Rielle, offering her his hand. "Care to discuss it over a dance?" Jason asked. He was sure Sebastian wouldn't mind. He was busy dancing it seemed. Jason could steal a dance with Rielle, fantasize about what could have been, then bury it and go back to being the physician to the royalty of France. As Jason took her to the dance floor, he placed his hands where they should be, carefully. He danced surprisingly well for someone who was always in the medical wing. "What's on your mind?" He asks Rielle, concerned that something might be scaring her.

Rielle felt her cheeks burn a little at Jason's compliment."Thank you...You look rather stunning as well." She gladly accepted his offer to dance and followed him to where the couples had gathered for the slower dance.
Rielle seemed to ease up dancing with Jason, she smiled a little hearing the concern in his voice. "Theres just a lot of people I have to keep up appearances for. This isn't my court, and from my experience here when I was a girl... A lot of people are not happy I am marrying their Prince, lets put it that way." Rielle sighed a little before letting herself enjoy the dance. She found it hard after to talk to Jason at all as people kept on interrupting and then she had to dance with Sebastian who seemed rather unhappy to have been dragged away from Annabelle by his father, but Rielle was quick to return to Jason after wards and made a point to disappear in the crowd.

Sebastian:
Sebastian chuckled at Annabelle's question. "I wasn't until you agreed to dance with me." He replied, he escorted her off and continued talking to her through the night, simple little things to start up longer conversations throwing in the odd compliment here and there, annoyed as he could be when forced to dance with Rielle he had been in a fouler mood after but tried not to snap at anyone as he searched for Annabelle again. He didn't mind Rielle spending the night with Jason, she had always been more fond of him anyways, as long as it kept her out of his hair, he didn't mind at all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rielle:
The weeks went by quickly and before Rielle knew it she had been back at court for three weeks, she found herself spending more time with Jason and usually distracting him from his work. Though she had also noticed Annabelle sneaking off more and more as the wedding date neared. Rielle tried her best not to think about it especially since today Jason had offered to take her out for a picnic get away from the castle and away from everything else he seemed to know she was trying to escape from. Rielle sighed in relief sitting down on the blanket Jason had laid out for them to sit on, she took a glass of the wine almost choking on it when he made her laugh. For a moment she stopped just watching his lips move as he talked, they were in the middle of the woods no one would see them, and like so many times before when they were alone she wanted to kiss him, though this time Rielle didn't back down from the chance she leaned forward bringing her lips to Jason's. It was only a moment but it almost felt like a life time before they both pulled away, Rielle could feel her cheeks burning and knew she probably looked like a embarrassed school girl. "Sorry..."She said softly not sure how Jason would react.
Sebastian:
Sebastian looked up from his desk hearing his door open, he stood up seeing Annabelle come in and went over. "Did anyone see you come in here?" He asked cautiously, he wouldn't get into trouble but he didn't want Annabelle to have that reputation, he pulled her into a gentle kiss before walking back over to his desk letting Annabelle sit down on his lap. "Its nothing exciting...just people suggesting things that will probably never happen...Isabella gives me her stack as well, I don't even know why she gets one, but I go through it for her anyway." Sebastian smiled at Annabelle, she was in a beautiful light pink dress that suited her well. "You look wonderful." He said placing a kiss on her bare shoulder.
Jason
Jason was always thinking about Rielle. It was killing him, would literally kill him if someone found out. He was a little worried about that, but Jason could not help but look at Rielle that way. Where his gaze wanted to linger even though he knew it shouldn't. When she showed up for the picnic, he was a little surprised. "Hey, I brought wine," He says with a smile as he pours some. They had been talking, he had been feeling butterflies flying around his stomach the entire time when she kissed him. "Rielle," He says unable to keep his tone even as his hands moved to hold her as he kissed her again. "Don't apologize," He whispers softly, trying to not loose control. He just hoped he wasn't overstepping his bounds.
Annabelle
Annabelle sat in Sebastian's lap, her lips still tingling slightly in the cool air that the castle held. She was just reading a paper about some distant lords land when she felt his lips on her shoulder and shivered in the pleasant touch. "Sebastian," She whispers softly, turning her body to face his as she wraps her arms around his neck. "I try to be as discreet as possible," She whispers, not wanting to disappoint him for some reason. She knew that she couldn't ask him to be just hers, knew that it would break him, or at least a part of him as he would defy his father. He didn't seem to care all too much about his father anyway though... Annabelle would be slightly broken though for what this might mean to Rielle. "Are you doing well?" She asks softly, her voice strained as she tried to stay calm that he was so close, she could feel his heat, that her shoulders were already exposed.
Rielle:
Rielle glanced at their hands, Jason's still carefully rested on top of hers. She was almost agitated by the shortness of the encounter her lips still tingling her stomach still in knots. Rielle looked at Jason a genuine smile appearing on her face something that had not happened in a long time, she laughed wrapping her arms around his neck managing to knock him from his sitting position onto his back she linked her fingers between his resting her free hand on his chest as he propped himself up on an elbow, she leaned down kissing him again but this time she could feel him tense as he held himself back, she sighed a little looking at Jason. "I've already been with Sebastian."Rielle started knowing Jason would know what she was talking about. "He was drunk, and I happened to be the closest Girl...no one would know, there would be no way they could find out. Please stop holding back Jason. If I didn't want this I would have stopped it."
Sebastian:
"As well as can be expected." Sebastian replied brushing some of Annabelle's blonde hair from her face tucking it behind her ear, he gently kissed her shoulder once more moving across her collar bone, he smiled against her skin as he got to the base of her neck and her breath hitched slightly. "Better now that you here though." He moved back so he could see her face again a charming smile creeping onto his lips. "You are so beautiful Annabelle." Sebastian moved a hand to her waist kissing the base of her neck once again moving his hand down to her thigh tracing invisible patterns with his fingers chuckling a little as she started to Squirm.
Jason
Jason was about to loose it when he finally gained control, all too aware that she was right there, practically on top of him. He was about to protest out loud, say they should go, get somewhere where they wouldn't be caught together and in all reality, get executed together too. "Well, so much for that marriage present, eh?" He laughed slightly at her already admitting it. He considered her words though, when had it happened? "Rielle, we are in the middle of a grove, all we can do right now is this," He says softly as he scoops her into his lap, carefully putting her skirts to one side so it was slightly presentable, not really, but it made him feel like he wasn't being entirely obvious. He gently pulled her in, kissing her softly and then all at once strong. He had wanted to be with her since she had started looking at him with something more than just a guy who had to work in the castle. He hoped they'd be all right, that everything would be fine, but in reality, nothing would ever be all all right.
Annabelle
"Sebastian," She whispered, her head tilting to allow her to say it in his hair. When he touched her leg, she felt her stomach do a flip. "You know just what you're doing don't you?" Annabelle asked with a soft laugh as she tried to keep herself from loosing the thread of control she had. She didn't know what she was keeping back, was pretty sure Sebastian was just teasing, but she would never be certain, not yet anyway. She wasn't sure how they had gotten so close all of a sudden, or how she could be breathing the air that he was breathing. She didn't know what to say back to him. He was beautiful too? That sounded too strange. It was true to her at the moment though. What else could she say? You're handsome? That didn't feel right for the intimacy of the moment. "I don't know what to do right now," She admitted softly, her hands moving to wrap around his neck for she didn't know what else to do with them.
Gabriella:
Gabby rolled her eyes slightly sighing a little. "I'm fine." she replied standing up putting her book back on the shelf looking at Annabelle before heading to the door she looked over hearing Annabelle following her. "I'm trying to avoid my Father and the first place he will look for me is anywhere i Could be seen with you or Rielle." Gabby sighed Rielle might have disliked her Uncle but Gabby wasn't the biggest fan of her father either, he adored her and spoiled her but only to show her off as some item that anyone could clame for the right price, and she hated it more than anything.
Rielle:
Rielle smiled a little sitting down on one of the beds. "There's a new servant girl, but she hasn't caused any trouble so far." Rielle watched as he came back over to her. "I feel fine. Royals get attacked all the time. You know as well as I do that it could simply be villagers trying to get us on edge and clearly they have succeeded." Rielle watched him carefully he still seemed on edge, she sighed a little bit holding back a laugh with a smile, she didn't want to just dismiss the situation an she was going to talk to Sebastian or even go straight to the King and Queen, but she didn't want everyone stressing over something that could be a simple rouse to scare everyone.
Annabelle
"Oh, Gabby, really. It's not going to be all that bad. I'm sure he won't touch you after what Rielle said to him earlier," Annabelle says with a smile. She wondered briefly about whether or not the other guards were still looking, but didn't think much more about it. "Come on then, let's go tell Rielle you're alright so that she doesn't worry," Annabelle says as she opens the door. She wasn't paying attention to what was behind her as she walked backwards, talking to Gabriella still, "I'm just glad I found you and you're alright."
Jason
Jason nods unconsciously. "I'll go see her soon. It could also just be that she tripped and fell and came up with an elaborate story so she didn't look so... well, clumsy, but we both know Isabella and she is observant and not a fibber about such important matters. I really think you should stay in the castle for a few days, just to wait until things smooth over and I feel safer about you moving around here," Jason says with another nod. He takes Rielle's hand, giving it a slight squeeze as he smiles at her. "Promise?" He asks looking at her concerned.
Gabriella:
Gabby shook her head slightly, her brown hair falling into her eyes, she came to a stop seeing a knife now at Annabelle's neck and one on her own. "if either of you make a sound, your both dead." Gabby shifted slightly looking straight at Annabelle before everything went black.
When Gabby came to they were in a different room though it looked as if it were still part of the castle. Her hands were bound to the chair she was in and the bindings were tight enough that she couldn't slip her hands out. Hearing the door open she pretended she was still out. "We only need to keep the blonde one, she is closer to Sebastian than the other one." she heard another man sigh. "True as that is, the brunette is closer to Rielle." The man walked closer to her causing her to hold her breath. "Our goal is to weaken the already weak alliance between France and Scotland...When Sebastian finds that this one is gone he will do everything in his power to find her, Rielle will become suspicious and since they can rarely get along on a good day, a fight is sure to start. Let the Lady Gabriella go." The other said Gabby did her best to be limp as she was carried from the room with no Idea where she was going, now she knew where Annabelle had been disappearing to she had been in Sebastian's company.
As soon as she was sure the man was gone she stood up, it had grown dark she wasn't sure how long she had been gone all she knew is that she needed to find Rielle, she searched her friends room and figured Rielle already knew they had been missing and headed for the throne room, and sure enough everyone was there and Rielle and Sebastian were in the middle of a yelling match, Elizabeth looked as if she had a massive headache her elbow sitting on the arm of her throne and her head resting in her hand. Frances was watching clearly becoming very annoyed where as it looked like Jason and Isabella were both trying to talk some sense into the two young royals. "Rielle."Gabby said softly and the room went silent. Gabriella was relieved to be in her friends embrace again. "They still have Annabelle." she whispered softly when Rielle stepped out of their hug.
Rielle/Sebastian:
As soon as Rielle heard her ladies were missing she went straight to the throne room, she had something else to tell Jason but it would have to wait as her friends were more important, and to no surprise Sebastian was already in there. "I want them found immediately." Sebastian looked at her. "We can't do Immediately, we have to analyze this, it could be a trap." Rielle looked at him a dangerous light flashing across her brown eyes. "They are my Ladies and guests of your court, which may I remind you when I returned you all made a promise to keep us all safe, last time I checked being held captive doesn't fall under that Category" That was when the arguing started Elizabeth had started to at least try and help out but her voice had been drowned out and she had clearly given up where as Jason and Isabella were trying to talk sense into both of them which was also miserably failing. It wasn't until Gabriella came into the room that there was actually any silence, but the worry in Rielle just grew when she heard whoever had taken them was still holding Annabelle. "It will be alright Gabriella. We will find her." She turned to Sebastian. "With your help or not, your Majesty." She said with a very fake bow before leaving the room one arm over Gabriella's shoulders.
Annabelle
Annabelle felt the knife at her neck before she saw it. She looked down and took a deep breath, but didn't say anything. When the darkness overcame her, she was terrified. When Annabelle awoke, their captors were talking. She watched carefully though she didn't recognize either of them. She listened silently. Watching Gabriella as well. She was worried about her, her friend still appeared to be out cold. When they noticed that she was awake, neither changed their tone though one did move over to her. "Don't touch me," She whispers as she pulls away when he brought his hand up to her face as if to touch her. When Gabriella was carried from the room, she watched, hoping her friend would be alright and find Rielle and Sebastian to tell her what was happening. "They're both far more reasonable than to fight in such a time. They'll find me and when they do, they won't be happy with you two..." Annabeth managed without a shaky voice, sitting back to be as far away from the men as possible.
Jason & Isabella
Jason and Isabella had been two of the first discover the girls missing. Jason had come across Annabelle's locket and had run into Isabella on the way to the throne room where he gave the locket to Sebastian. He hadn't wanted to go directly to his friend, but with the strange occurrences, he knew he needed to. Isabella still had a cut lip though it had closed up for the most part. She still wore riding clothes, hating the dresses her mother made her wear. "Rielle, there you are," Isabella noticed Rielle coming in and smiled, worried that maybe Rielle too was taken. When Rielle ignored her and went to argue with Sebastian, Isabella sighed. Jason and Isabella tried to convince Rielle and Sebastian to stop with the arguments and had just given up and gone to sit on the steps leading to the thrones when Gabriella came in. Annabelle wasn't with her though and that was what worried the two. When Rielle left, Jason and Isabella shook their heads. The two were polar opposites, how were they going to get married? Jason didn't necessarily want it, but he knew that if it didn't happen, hundreds, thousands of people could die. "I'll go talk to Rielle if you talk to Sebastian," Isabella says as she stands. Jason nods and the two go to their people.
Jason looks at Sebastian carefully. "Sebastian, what are you wanting to do? We have to get her back or else Rielle will get very, very mad.
Isabella walked into Rielle's room upon knocking, smiling at her. [b]"Hey, listen,we'll get her back, you know that right? How are you handling all this?"
Isabella asked gently, going to sit beside Rielle. She looked to Gabriella, "We are glad you are alright as well."
(Sorry I was gone for so long, I went on a retreat I wasn't aware I was going on until the morning of :P)
Rielle/Gabriella:
Rielle stood in her room in front of the fire, she had settled Gabriella down into a chair and wrapped her up with a blanket. She had been at court for what? A month and a half two months? Time seemed to have gone so fast with nothing going wrong then everything seemed to go down hill. Rielle turned to face the fire as Isabella walked in a familiar sickness coming over her body, she prayed it wasn’t the result of the hours she spent with Jason almost a week and a half before he left, though she started to doubt it as the Sickness started coming and going the second day he was gone.
Rielle took a deep breath putting her hand over her mouth putting the nausea at bay before turning to Answer Isabella. “I’m handling it as well as I can...I’m sure we will find her.” Rielle added more trying to convince herself than anyone. She looked at Gabriella walking over putting a hand on her friends shoulder. Gabriella watched Rielle carefully as her posture changed for a split second and her hand went to her mouth, but she didn’t want to say anything, didn’t want to add to everyones stress, her head was pounding and her body ached, and her mind could only think of poor Annabelle. “We will find her Rielle...” She whispered quietly Rielle forcing a smile in return.
Sebastian:
Sebastian groaned when Jason walked into his chambers, he turned to look at his friend. “I am doing everything I can to get Annabelle back.” He said stopping Jason before he could speak. “My parents have agreed to search for her, and have left the punishment up to Rielle, though knowing her, they won’t have anything more severe than life time in the dungeons.” Sebastian went back to his desk sitting down. “Rielle is Naive, and she is to gentle and to kind, she is going to get herself into trouble.”
Isabella
Isabella nodded, putting her hand on Isabella's shoulder before going to take a seat on her bed. She was tired, and really wanted to go eat a large meal, then sleep, but that would be bad as her mother would probably yell at her for being improper or something. Sometimes she wished she could just go be a stable helper too, be with James more, get food more often since she would work for the castle, and a few other perks... but then she wouldn't have the perks of sneaking around the castle without being questioned, out loud at least.
Annabelle
Annabelle was as quiet as she could be as she sat. Her hands were rubbed raw from the ropes and she was starting to get hungry as well as sleepy. She didn't want to talk to either man or fall asleep for fear of what would happen during that time. She looked away every time they tried to make eye contact and had shied away from each attempt to touch her. She wondered briefly if she would be found, if Sebastian was worried, for she knew certainly Rielle was... She ignored one of the men as they approached her, looking down at the floor so not to have to look him in the face.
Jason
"What? You don't want to see me?" Jason smiled slightly as he took a seat at Sebastian's desk, facing his friend. "Sebastian, let's focus on the problem and we both know Rielle didn't Have Annabelle stolen away, it would have given her a heart attack," Jason says brushing away the comments of Rielle in his head. He didn't want to be rude to his friend, or his lady friend, but he also wanted to focus on Annabelle. She was his friend and he too was worried of her...
Sebastian:
Sebastian sighed leaning back in his chair crossing his legs resting his hands on his lap. "Jason I really don't need to talk about this, it is getting late and I would like to go to bed." Sebastian said in a very dismissive tone one he rarely used with Jason if at all but he was thankful his friend got the message saying something like they could talk about it in the morning. As soon as Jason left Sebastian did as he said he did but his worry for Annabelle grew to the point where he had sent groups of guards on patrol in and around the castle and at one point after waking up numerous times decided to dress and start looking himself. "I want her found!" He growled at some of the guards growing more frustrated by the minute but none of them Questioned their Prince's authority.
Rielle:
Rielle sighed a little sitting down, it was getting very late and she was tired though she knew sleep was something that would allude her until Annabelle was found and was safe again. She silently wondered why they had released Gabriella but at the same time was grateful as she would have probably been having a harder time pretending she was holding herself together than if they were both gone. Rielle smiled gently tucking Gabriella into her bed, she didn't want Gabriella going back to her own chambers incase her attackers came back and since she wasn't going to sleep she told Gabriella she could sleep in her bed. Rielle had also told Isabella she would be fine and that she should get something to eat, as Rielle could hear Isabella's stomach protesting.
Once Isabella was gone and Rielle was sure Gabriella was asleep she sat down at her desk and found herself staring blankly into space until her door opened, Rielle felt her face light up for a split second when Jason walked into the room, she stood up slowly nausea still having a slight grip on her and went over to him, she took his hand turning to Gabriella hearing her move before sighing and turning back to Jason. "I assume you were unable to talk any sense into Sebastian?" She asked softly and quietly
Jason
Jason's smile disappeared upon hearing Sebastian. It was more of an order than anything. Sebastian had never really ordered Jason around. He nodded, his posture changing into that of a guard, his anger and hurt evident in his frame. He bowed and walked out. His friend wouldn't be happy with him, but he didn't really care at this point. He walked and walked for a good half hour before he realized he probably needed to talk to Rielle. He wasn't concerned at all about walking around by himself, he was good enough to protect himself. He walked into her rooms seeing that Isabella was gone and Gabriella was asleep. "Did I talk sense in him? Rielle, this is crazy, you two need to put your differences aside to find this friend of ours. He wouldn't listen to me at all, but I hope you will when I say that you two need to work together, that's the only way these sort of things work," Jason says. He would know. He hoped Rielle wouldn't push him away like Sebastian did, but he wasn't sure she would put her anger and fear aside to work with the prince.
Isabella
Isabella was wandering the halls, wondering where her brother was. He had tried to comfort Rielle and wasn't very successful since that wasn't her kind of thing. She had been wandering ever since. When she walked to Sebastian's room, he wasn't there. She had noticed more guards frantically searching, but didn't think any of them would be smart enough to figure out where the girl might be.
