For as long as he could remember it was always just Ethan and his brother Elias. At an early age both of the boys learned that they were different than the average citizen. Ethan was playing on an over pass chucking rocks into the freeway when one of the rocks caused a small explosion on impact and of course to make sure he wasn't going crazy immediately tried to recreate the events. Of course the first couple of times resulted in failure, leading up to one pebble creating such a large explosion it created a rather large pothole or at least that is what everyone were to believe it was.

At the time of these finding the two had been living with their father, the only thing that tied them as brothers both boys coming from two different mothers. The age difference is hardly there thanks to their father impregnating both his wife and mistress around the same time. They kept their powers a secret from their father until an accidental explosion went off in their bedroom. As their father barged into the room Eli jumped in the way sending a bolt of lightning at him sending him to the floor. Everything happened so quick as if it was a blur that neither of the two realized they were out of the city until it happened. Their father was an abusive sort and when they finally felt that they were free of him was when they started to live. The two were sixteen when they ran away, picking up odd jobs here and there soon becoming friends with the owner of some cheap bar, giving the two jobs and a place to stay, they've been there ever since.

The two brothers team up trying to help out the people of the city but often times ends up causing more harm. Even if they don't like them they aren't going to stop trying, it's not in their nature.

So begins...

Prologue: Humanity and Beyond

The Universe....it's a big place out there. Within the infinite span of the cosmos is it really just fantasy, to think that there may other be forms of life? Well probability wise, it is illogical to believe that there isn't an indefinite amount of lifeforms and civilizations out there. In fact it is illogical just to believe that there is only one form of sentient life. Yet, who does believe in the illogical? Who is so vain or so ignorant to believe that their world is the only world with life on it? Humankind is. Yet, one shouldn't blame the Humans for this illogical conclusion, they have yet to see any proof otherwise....or have they?

Welcome to the Earth! A veritable paradise within the infinite span of the cosmos. It is here the Human Race calls home and it is here they remain, not always blissfully, unaware of the Universe surrounding them. They do say ignorance is bliss but denial is a whole different story. While the world at large does not believe in the fantastic or the Supernatural, thinking that this sort of thing is all fantasy! Although many are ignorant there are plenty more who have experienced these things and there are those who deny the proof. Many of the world's government and scientific communities deny these claims of the unthinkable, writing off those that believe as insane. Yet, when they are delivered absolute proof and they deny it, is that anymore sane? Many people from the shadows have worked to keep these people silent and have worked to seal away all evidence. Is it still just fantasy?...Or is the unimaginable real?

To the world these are all just wild speculation. But what if I told you that soon, what we believe to be unreal will become a thing of reality? What if the world was heading to some great apex that would spin the world on an entirely new axis? The truth of the matter is, that our world is changing. More and more, sightings of the fantastic are being reported more frequently, everything for UFO Sightings, to Monster Sightings, to reports of Humans doing Inhuman things. Is this all just speculation or is it cold hard proof? We are all heading for some great unknown and while the population will not understand and may even resist this change, they will not be alone. This change will bring great danger but it will bring great security as well. There are people out there right now. What looks to be ordinary Men and Women are actually far from ordinary. They work to understand themselves and the world around them. All the while preparing for a great change that will not only change the ordinary but the extraordinary as well.

And just who are these people you ask? Why they are you. Whoever you may be you have something special, something that this world desperately needs, even if it doesn't acknowledge that it needs you. Although the biggest question isn't who they are, they all very well know who they are, even if they are confused. No, the greatest question to ask is how they will change the world? Not every change is good and some change may be change for the worst. After all we are only Human and the unfortunate thing about Humanity, is their capacity to do great good but also do great evil. We have no idea who lead the charge for change but I can assure you, a struggle will ensue for the betterment of the planet. A struggle that will push all parties involved to the edge, but lets not be so dark shall we? This battle has yet to take place and the worst of it is still to come. No at this moment in time we look to the seeds of change. They are being planted as we speak.

As we speak, people from all over the world and even beyond are discovering more about themselves and the world. Yet none of them understand the gravity of it all. Many are still self-absorbed into their own worlds to consider they are stepping into a world far larger than their own. This is the story about these extraordinary beings and their trials and tribulations. This is a story about their growths, their highs and their lows. It is a story about discovery and it is a story about destiny. We now enter a world that still seems ordinary but underneath lies something quite the contrary. I welcome you to enter a world that is still Human as I ask you change it into something that is....Beyond Human.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Welcome to the beginning of a new world...no wait scratch that. Welcome to the end of the old world. Yes that is much better. Don't worry it's not the apocalypse or anything like that. No it's more like the end of an era...and trust me the times they are a changin'! As Bob Dylan would sing. Anyway before I ramble, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Andrew Benjamin Novus. You call me Andy for short, or if you prefer by my moniker, Professor Extraordinarius! Kind of a mouth full yes, but I like it! It perfectly describes my life. It has been nothing short of extraordinary! Still, I am no the focus, well, not the whole focus. The real focus is on the everyday accounts of a whole slew of other extraordinary people! My accounts are just one little jigsaw in the puzzle of life. No, you need every jigsaw to solve the puzzle, so without further ado, how about we work on making these jigsaws fit shall we? *He then hums happily*

Ah yes, quite a bit of jigsaws I see...well, this is going to make for one long puzzle. I think every should sit down....*he then whispers*...it's gonna be a long one. Anyway, how about I let the big guy tell you a story, I'm sure from his perspective he won't leave out any details. *He then perks up and then motions you closer so he can whisper* The reason why won't is because he hardly says anything, he lets the characters do the work. *He then chuckles as the Professor moves away* Anyway take it away big guy! *He then leans in close again* And by him I mean all of you. *He then winks as he pulls away*

* * *

The Earth, it still turns as it ever did. The plants are still growing, the animals are still surviving, and Humanity is still progressing. Idyllic and average. But that is all about to change....we now begin your story.

ImageDianne, thanks to the Facility, was sent to Philadelphia, the cell here kept close tabs on every mutant and meta in the world, whilst the London Facility focused more on the Silver gene, New York was the Supernatural and Occult, Paris was technology. When her flight landed, a driver was waiting for her.
"Miss Campbell?" He said with a fairly strong Philly accent, to which she simply nodded. "I'm to escort you to the meeting." Dianne barely understood him and simply agreed and followed him to the standard Jaguar XJ SUPERSPORT LWB of the Facility.
"I'm surprised people don't give second looks." Dianne commented on the car, it was expensive and flashy and the dodgy tinted windows no doubt worried some people.
"At least, it ain't one of the lurkers." The driver said before lifting Dianne's suitcase into the trunk and opening the car door for her and climbing into the driver seat.
"A lurker? What's that?" Dianne asked, slightly concerned.
"It's the car with agents in it, they lurk outside a mutants house and watch them, they lurk." The driver explained. "You'll see one outside the Tavern, I'll point it out."

The rest of the drive to the meeting place was quiet, Dianne sat on her phone, generously paid for by the Facility, they were sparing no expense in this 'mission' to save Vivienne. She scrolled through her FaceBook, liking a few photos, laughing at a few of the funny ones and sharing them to a friends wall. As she continued to do this, the driver pressed a button on the dashboard and a mini screen unfolded from the roof.
"In breaking news, another jewelry store was robbed today, with one of the customers being kidnapped in the assault. The customer was a Dr Paul Richter, a renown scientist who worked for Silver Enterprises. The police are currently investigating, more on this story as it develops." The screen folded back up to the roof.
"What was that about?" Dianne asked the driver, but he ignored her. "Her! What was that about?"
"It's classified. Only people up the chain are allowed to know." The driver told her.
"I own 10% of Silver Enterprise and I'm the heiress to the rest, my father is the current President of the Facility. What was she talking about?"
"I could lose my job!" The driver yelled. "Right now, you're only a minor agent, your background means very little and it has nothing to do with your mission."
"It could have something to do with my sister!" She told him, she was getting excited, but not the good kind.
"Trust me, it isn't. It's just gang wars, each gang wants a scientist, and a Silver Enterprise scientist is the best." Dianne sat back in her seat with a sigh.

They eventually got to the meeting place, a bar called the Crimson Tavern. Dianne didn't even wait for the driver, she got out and lifted her suitcase from the back and made her way indoors, she spotted the lurker without even being pointed out, anybody could notice that. She wandered into the bar and looked around, there was no suits, just locals. She was early and so she took her suitcase over to a table by the window were she watched the Lurker. "ID? She heard a gruff voice ask her and she looked up at him timidly, a shiver travelling up her spine.
"Yeah, of course. Reaching into her hand luggage, she procured her passport and showed it to the man, he chuckled at it.
"You lost?" He chuckled and she simply shook her head.
"No, I'm waiting for someone. He should be here any minute now." She answered, trying to sound confident and failing.
"Well, until he gets here, is there anything I can get you?"
"Just a fanta or whatever orange juice you have. Dianne watched the man go up to the bar and pay for the drink, she flinched at the sight, he didn't even work in the bar, he was just some creepy old guy buying her a drink, she looked away and when she looked back, she noticed him put something in the drink, nobody but her saw it and her heart rate started to climb, as did her breathing. But she felt a hand touch her shoulder and she looked round to see the agent. "Cole, thank god." She stood up and hugged him, she knew him from when she was a child, he was basically an uncle to her and Vivienne. She looked at the bar and the guy was watching them, his face contorted into anger, before he marched over to them.
"Hey, she's waiting for someone." He growled at Cole, who gave him a glare.
"Yes, she's waiting for me. The man heard the English accent and knew he wasn't lying, so he slammed teh glass onto the table and stormed out of the bar.
"Bit of an odd place to arrange a meeting, Cole." She said, criticizing his choice.
"They do good food and I'm stationed to watch a pair of brothers that work here, they're 26 and 25, they're elementals like yourself, fire and electricity, respectively... well from our intel anyway. But I'm getting side tracked, it was easier to have you come to me when you're being paid for." He chuckled as he took the seat across from her. "You're here because you need to find your sister, from what I've gathered, which isn't much, she knows how to hide herself, she's somewhere in New York, finding her may be harder than the Facility thought." He admitted before taking a look at the menu. "Let's get something to eat first, I'm sure you're starving and we can catch up better than talking about your sister."

The rhythmic dripping coming from the kitchen sink echoed throughout the quiet apartment. At first glance you would think it was either abandoned or vacant with the only sign of life being a low glow coming from the television and the occasional meowing of the alley cat that the brothers leave food out for. The two got home sometime around four in the morning after investigating a string of robberies that are much too similar to simply be coincidental. However the only solid lead that had any substance was at the dockyard but whatever was there was long gone by the time they reached it.

Ethan slowly sat up on his mattress and gave a long stretch as the popping of his joints woke him up. As he stood up he cracked his neck and ended with his toes, walking out of the dark room. The apartment was almost pitch black if wasn't for the television glow that bounced off of the hallway walls. Walking into the living room he tripped over a shoe but caught himself on the back of the couch. “Son of a bitch.” Rising he grabbed the shoe and dropped it on Elias, who was curled up on the couch and the reason the television was on. “Wake up we gotta get down to the bar.”

Jumping awake Elias threw his feet off of the couch and grabbed the shoe that had know fallen behind him, placing it on the side of the couch with the other pair. “What time is it?” He cocked his head looking back to Ethan who had drifted to the window.

Letting out a sigh Ethan let go of the blinds he had been looking out of. “Definitely past noon. Maybe a little before five. I don’t know.”

“Alright.” He walked towards the bathroom. “Eh, you takin’ a shower?”

“Nah, I did last night.”

“Alright. I’ll meet you down there then.”

“Yeah.” Ethan headed back to the bedroom as he heard the high squeal of the shower start up. Grabbing his duffle bag of clothes he kept next his mattress he pulled out a red and grey flannel shirt that he through over his plain white shirt that he had slept in along with his jeans. Even though they had been living here for the better part of ten years they were still living as if they were going to pick up and leave. Slipping on his boots and sliding his beanie on he made his way to the front door still hearing the rushing water of the shower. "Leaving." He said shutting the apartment door behind him.

He stepped onto the street and gave another quick look around. Whoever it was that had been staking them out was still parked in the same spot as when he checked before. At least they're persistent. He thought as he lit his cigarette and entered the bar, a large neon sign reading Crimson Tavern glowing in the window with a light hum.

"Hey Travis." He greeted the man that sat at the end of the bar reading the newspaper. Travis, a tattooed and all around ominous looking figure who to many randoms looks like a guy that you need to look out for. In truth he was the reason the brothers hadn't picked up and left when they had the chance. He owns the bar and the neighboring apartment building, he gave them a job and a place to stay. He never really asked for anything in return as long as they do as he says. Travis is also the only normal person that knows they have powers. Not that anyone will get that out of him, he's military trained and refuses to talk about anything he was apart of.

"You're late." His deep voice stated.

"Yeah, late night ya'know." Ethan chimed back walking behind the bar. "Want anything?"

"I'm good." He replied flipping a page. "Check out the corner table." He whispered.

Grabbing a beer from the bottom Ethan flicked his eyes to the table. They were clearly not regulars, he didn’t even think that they were from Philly. “Who are they?” He popped the beer open and handed it to a customer.

“Don’t know.” He ended, switching subjects. “Where’s your brother?” He piped up.

“Coming.” Was all he answered as he started cleaning up the empty glasses and bottles.

The water shut off with an annoying squeak as he finished up in the bathroom. As he was getting changed in the other room Eli realized that a wound on his forearm reopened and grabbing some basic supplies patched himself up. It was useful knowing how to stitch up a cut and with the amount of times he had been thrown through windows it had come in handy many a times. Throwing on a green shirt and a grey hoodie he wiped his hair with the towel one last time before slipping on his shoes and heading downstairs.

“I know, I know. I’m late.” He spoke up as soon as he entered the bar.

“Yes you are.” Ethan threw a towel at his face. “Now do something.”

Catching it he put it through one of his belt loops and starting cleaning off some of the tables. Grabbing a few empty bottles he made his way to the table with two newcomers. “Can I get you guys something?”

ImageDianne quickly scanned the menu, she never really read menus anymore, she merely scanned them for something she liked and if it was on it, she would no doubt have it. She quickly put the menu to the side and watched as Cole read the menu, he seemed deeply in focus. "Jesus, Cole, it's only a pub menu, what the fuck could you have to think so intensely on?"
"You haven't tried the food here, Silver, but me and Phil have, the car basically smells like it. Although this is the first time I've actually been in here and seen a menu." Dianne let out a slightly disgusted sound, she heard the door open and watched as Cole watched the entrant like a hawk, when he came into view of Dianne he was hard to see until he went behind the bar.
"Is that one of them?"Dianne whispered, leaning over the table so as Cole could hear her, he simply nodded and she let out a laugh to pretend they were making jokes and small talk.
"Over selling it, Silver." Cole remarked and she pouted. "So tell me what I've missed since I got reassigned to the Land of Dreams."
"You're asking me to sum up 10 years in what an hour?" Cole nodded with a grin and Dianne frowned and rolled her eyes before starting her 10 year story.

About 20 mintues after Dianne had started to retell a lot of what Cole had missed, the door opened and again Cole became like a hawk, watching his prey closely, but it didn't stop Dianne from continuing her story about her cousins and their trip to the Lake District. "So the entire family was in the room the whole time as Jeremy explained in detail how he lost his virginity and Fiona knew the entire time ans never once stopped him. I swear, Fiona and I near pissed ourselves! Although at some point, I'm near sure gran turned round and said 'that's nothing'." Just before finishing her story, one of the brother's came up to them.
"Can I get you guys something?”
"Ah, yeah, could I get a Fanta and a tuna melt? Only instead of chips, can I get crisps?" If the accent alone wasn't enough to tell him she was from London, her side order would.
"She means can she get potato chips instead of fries." Cole clarified and Dianne blushed at her mistake, apologising quickly afterwards. "And I'll have a cheese burger and a bottle of beer, whatever you've got is good." Dianne gave a polite smile to him before he walked off.
"Drinking on the job, brave."
"Crush on the bartenders, braver." Cole announced a little too loud.
"Hey! Don't use your fricking powers on me, you empath!" Dianne cursed him before turning a bright pink.
"I don't have to, you tomato." Cole let out a chuckle before poking Dianne and tickling her.
"You wouldn't think you were in your 40s." Dianne aggresively remarked, yet Cole just chuckled it off.

"That won't be a problem." Eli jotted down the order and headed behind the counter, sending the order to the kitchen. “Eh, pour me a beer, any.” He asked Ethan who turned grabbing the first tab he seen, Bud Light, for the man at the table. “Especially in this place.”

“Where from?” Replied Ethan with a twinge of curiosity as he slid Eli the beer mug and then turned around leaning back against the bar.

“She's English.” He added while pouring the women's Fanta into a glass. "And an admirer." He joked with a cheeky grin. Picking up both drinks he headed back to the table and placed them with a satisfy thump. "Your food will be out in a couple minutes." Ethan had to tell him that him and Travis were cautious of the two newcomers but Eli knew they were hiding something. It was tendency of theirs to not share all of their thoughts plus he wasn't there when they were talking about it and they weren't to blame. "So are we going to talk about that shit storm yesterday?" Eli returned back to the bar running a hand through his hair.

Ethan patted out his cigarette in an ashtray pondering over the two newcomers. They weren't hurting anybody, at least they hadn't hurt anyone yet and until they so they were on good, if not cautious, terms. "Nothing but a bust." he leaned up to Travis. "We need to talk about work."

"What's there to talk about?"He smirked folding the paper and resting it on the counter."Everything seems to be going smoothly." He gestured behind him.

"You know what there's to talk about."

Travis stood up "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. We'll talk later." He ended, walking into the back room.

"That was successful." Joked Eli.

"Yeah." Ethan dragged off scratching the side of his mouth."I’m still trying to figure out what we could have missed ya’know? Something had to be there.”

“Something was there but it did take us awhile to get that information. It was what? A full two days before we tracked them down to the dockyard. The pricks covered their trail.”

“No. We go back tonight. We missed something. There's always something.” Ethan was trying to remain mostly in whisper but the end could have been heard easily if you were listening close enough. “Travis will let us go early depending on how many of the others show up before sun down.” Ding. Ding. The kitchen bell rang snapping him out of his train of thought. “Whatever, this isn’t the best place to talk about it so we’ll finish this up later.”

With a nod from his brother Elias picked up the plates and brought them to his table. “Hope that wasn’t too long.” He added leaving the table and picking up some other ones on the way to the counter. More people has started to show up and it was starting to get more busy. Some of the rest of the crew was filing in and if they could time it right they could head out without being noticed.

"Your food will be out in a couple minutes." Elias informed them as he set the glasses down, and Dianne smiled at him,
"Thank you, that's not a problem." She returned her attention back to Cole when the barman had walked off. "Look, I know you said it could wait till after I ate, but the flight actually did some nice food. Please, just tell me what you have on my sister." Cole seemed to tear his eyes away from the bar and set his sights on Dianne.
"Dianne, she doesn't want to be found." Cole admitted. "Why else would she cover her tracks so well?"
"It's not what she wants that's important. She needs help and unless she gets it, people are going to get hurt, and no doubt she's connected to these robberies, why else would each robbery result in a kidnapping of a Facility member?" Dianne heard her voice raise, but when she looked around the bar no one seemed to interest and thanked her lucky stars for it.
"Silver -"
"My name is Dianne." Dianne interrupted, quite sternly. She hadn't imagined that Cole would give up on Vivienne, let alone the idea Dianne could help her.
"That is a Facility concern, you need not worry about it." Cole continued. "The Facility are going to aid you with Vivienne, financially only. Any personal or resources we won't be providing." Dianne sucked through her teeth and rested against the back of the chair.
"What the fuck, Cole?" Dianne exclaimed in a whisper. "We'll fly you off the America for free just to tell you we aren't helping you, is that how it is?"
"Dianne, please calm down. I tried my best, but your fath..." Cole stopped himself before he finished the sentence.
"My dad ordered you to stop looking for her?" Dianne ran her hand through her hair and took a deep breath, she could feel tears in her eyes.
“Hope that wasn’t too long.” Elias returned with the food and Dianne forced herself to smile and managed to utter a thank you to him.

ImageWhilst the idea of proper food was a nice one, her stomach was churning with the news she was just told and forced herself to eat it, it was nice but she couldn't enjoy like she would have wanted to. After finishing her meal, she excused herself and went to use the toilet but she really just needed some air and went out the back exit and let the air wash over her, it was a slight peace she could enjoy for the time being. When she turned to walk back inside, the man from early was standing at the door.
"I was wondering when I'd see you again." Dianne froze in place as she looked at him, she started to nervously shake.
"Oh really? That's nice." Dianne said before trying to walk back to the door, but he stepped in her way. "Can I get past" The man simply chuckled and Dianne took a step back, breathing in quick breaths. "I... I don't want no trouble." Dianne whimpered.
"It's too late for that." The man stated, with a wide grin.
"Look, I don't want to hurt you." The man laughed at her statement and without warning pounced at her, throwing her against the wall all her breathe escaped her in a scream of pain, as she smacked her head against the wall and scrapped her skin due to the friction, the scream was followed by the orchestra of falling bins and bottles. The man grabbed her wrists and Dianne lifted her knee right onto his groin, causing him to let go and double over. Dianne made a break for the door but the man grabbed her loose hair and yanked her back, yet another yelp of pain. Dianne twirled and clawed at the man's face, but the wound didn't last, it healed quite quickly. "What the fuck?"
"Bet you didn't see that coming." The brute remarked before throwing her up against the wall of the bar.

Shawn stood at the sidewalk corner lighting her cigarette. Woman was walking towards her and had a distasteful look on her face as Shawn took a drag. She simply smirked at the woman and blew the cloud of smoke directly into her face as she passed by before crossing the street.

To any on looker, it was obvious that Shawn wasn't from around here. She had no idea where she was really going and was just kind of wondering around aimlessly hoping for excitement since that's what she usually did as she went from city to city dealing with assholes and moving on to the next once she got bored.

Shawn somehow found herself in an alleyway at the back of what appeared to be some sort of restaurant building. Shawn heard voices as she drew closer but wasn't really paying attention until she flicked her cigarette onto the ground and looked back up in front of her to see a man attacking some silver haired woman. She watched him throw her up against the wall and Shawn called out to him to draw his attention towards her. "Hey fucker!"

A smirk spread across her face as smoke seemed to have come out of her palms and surround the air around them in a huge dark cloud covering all three of them. Shawn took the opportunity to grab the woman and bring her back into the restaurant through the back exit and lock the door behind them. She probably could have taken her and ran for it but she figured since the place was filled with people and he hopefully wouldn't be coming in.

"So was that dick weed your ex boyfriend or something?" Shawn spoke with a slight southern that definitely wasn't as heavy or as stereotypical as people thought someone from Kentucky would sound like(that was usually that southern part that had the stereotypical accent). "You sure have a great taste in men."

She looked around the room and saw two guys who looked liked they worked here and walked over to them. She waved for them to come over to see if they could be of any help.

The regulars were starting to pile into their usual places and soon the place was its usual loud and busy spot. Everyone was talking it up and the sound of clanking dishes could be heard underneath it all. For the brothers it was starting to become the perfect opportunity to slip out for a few moments to recalculate their movements. Not only did they have to sort through what they had, or more so what they didn’t have, with the robberies but they were still tracking down the string of arsons that was going around downtown. For some reason as of late there has started being a rise in crime and there hasn’t been any sort of explanation for it. Something the brothers were trying to figure out.“Hey.” Ethan raised his hand gesturing Eli over. “Let’s go.” It was short but it was all he had to say to be on the same page.

“Travis?”

“On the way.” He stated as he threw his towel into the empty sink and headed for back door, Eli following suit. Stopping at the basement door Eli knocked on the manager's door which slowly creaked open revealing a dark and empty room.

“He’s not here.” Eli flicked the light switch on. “Downstairs?”

“I guess.” Ethan entered the passcode to the basement but as he started opening it a large racket came from beyond the back door that could only be made out to be trash cans and beer bottles. “What was that?” Instead of any sort of answer Eli replied with a simple shrug.

Within seconds of them hearing the noise the one woman Ethan had been watching along with another one barged through the door, the unknown one calling them over. Ethan shut the basement door hard and took the short couple of steps to the backdoor with Elias close behind. “What's going on? He commented looking to both women.

Dianne kicked him in the groin and as he was doubled over, she could feel her skin glow and as she was about to throw the light at him before a large whirl of smoke surrounded her and she was pulled back into the restaurant.
"What the fuck?" She exclaimed when she was in the back of the entrance, she whipped around to see the meta who had done it.
"So was that dick weed your ex boyfriend or something?" There was a slight southern twang to her voice. "You sure have a great taste in men."
"He was about 40 and I've only just landed here, greatest welcoming party ever." She joked. "There certainly is a lot of you mutants in this city!"
"What's going on? Dianne looked round at the two bar men.
"There's just some nutjob out there, I need to get my friend."

ImageDianne quickly ran back into the bar, "Cole, quickly!" She said to him, before they both ran out the back again, but the man was gone. "Shit," Dianne cried as she looked around for him. "He was right here! A meta, healer, he attacked me and now he's gone. You should go look for him."
"Alright, I'll get on it. Look, those guys are looking into the robberies, if they are related to your sister, you could use them." Dianne nodded before going back inside and grabbed her bag and suitcase before returning to the trio.

"Well he's gone... But he's on it." Dianne told the three in the hall. "My name's Dianne, by the way." Dianne introduced herself to the trio. "A lot of people call me Silver though."

"He was about 40 and I've only just landed here, greatest welcoming party ever."

Shawn laughed in response. "Welcome to america."

"There certainly is a lot of you mutants in this city!" She was surprised that she knew about mutants. Then again, she did just use her powers in front of her. Maybe she's like me...

The two guys that she motioned for earlier approached them. “What's going on?" One of them said. The girl answered before Shawn had the chance to. "There's just some nutjob out there, I need to get my friend."

Shawn watched the girl leave to talk to someone and kind of just awkwardly stood next to the two guys until she returned. "Well he's gone... But he's on it." Shawn was somewhat disappointed he ran off. She was kind of hoping he would come back so she could take a crack at him. She hadn't had a good fight since Las Vegas.

"My name's Dianne, by the way. " Shawn's attention was drawn back to the girl who just introduced herself to the three."A lot of people call me Silver though." Silver?

Shawn just kind of nodded and introduced herself to the group."You can call me Shawn or Smoke. Whichever you prefer."

Image“Well then, Silver. Smoke. When did we decide to join forces?” Ethan pursed as he bit the inside of his mouth and looked over the two women standing in front of him. He was never one for introductions and even less so when it's slightly chaotic.“Wait a second ‘A lot of us mutants.’ Okay I get it. You,” Gesturing towards Dianne. “you’re with those pricks who’ve been watching us right? Why am I asking of course I’m right.” He said in a huff, clearly irritated.

“Dude,” Eli pulled Ethan away and speaking low continued. “Chick just said she got into a scrap with someone with powers. Like us. Yeah those douchebags have been watching us but they’ve done nothing to actually try to rally us up. Not like the fucking Organization. Who, let me remind you incase it managed to slip your fucking head, tried to kill us and harvest our insides just to see how we ticked. Maybe it’s not such a bad idea to at least get friendly with a few people like us.”
Image
Eli was right and Ethan knew it, as painful as that was to admit. He mulled the thought over for a minute before stepping back to the two, arms crossed and obvious annoyment painted on his face.“I'm Ethan. That’s Elias.” He nodded over to his brother.

“Just call me Eli.” He waved also stepping closer. "So that dude was a healer? You got a description we can probably help you out if he was a regular."

ImageDianne looked at Ethan as he gave off about the Facility, she nervously rubbed her forearm and looked away from him. She shook her head, a slight sadness and hurt in her eyes.
"You're wrong about the Facility, they aren't going to hurt you. They're protecting you, the Facility and the Organisation are warring agencies..." She sighed before coming clean. "The lurker is protecting you from them, whilst also keeping tabs on what you do so as you don't do anything that would risk us. Every known mutant and meta has one." Dianne looked at the three of them, the Facility were ominous but they really were looking out for the mutants.

Eli stepped forward and asked her about the attacker and she looked away, rubbing her forearm awkwardly again. "He was in here earlier, he was quite large, in both ways, balding, ugly and he bought fanta earlier and put something in it" Dianne nodded towards the bar. "If he's a known, Cole and the Facility will find him no problem... my father will probably have him imprisoned, unless he has him indoctrinated." Dianne's eyes widened and she looked away from the three of them and down to her suitcase. "I... I need to go find a hotel." Dianne excused herself, her face turning red as she attempted to leave the situation.

Dylan woke up in his messy bedroom, he rubbed his eyes, "Shit." he looked around his room, it looked like a bomb hit it. He walked out, "Sir would you like some dinner?" asked Gordon, one of the few butlers he had, "Dinner? What the hell? How long have I been out?" he rubbed his eyes again and glanced around. "Since last night, you went to that 'Crimson Tavern' place again, you always get in to trouble over there, I had to pick you up from the police department, nearly got yourself in prison, ya did. If you going back there, please, take care of yourself okay? Stay safe, I don't want to pick you up from the police again, ya hear? It's not good for your resume or your reputation, you have a business to run", Dylan started to walk out, "I didn't want to run that stupid corporation anyway, might as well run it yourself", "Do you want some dinner before ya go?". "Nah, I'll get something at the tavern" He got into his limousine, "Take me to the tavern", it took around half an hour to get there, he sat down at a table on his own and got a drink, he waited five minutes and there was already a fight going on outside, there was a beefy, strong man and a silver-haired female. He wanted to help the woman, but yet he didn't want to get in to trouble with the police again so he didn't help, he regretted it later. He saw him heal his wounds, he mumbled "Regenerative Healing?... Guess, i'm not the only one... or I'm just going freaking mental" he guzzled the last of his drink and looked around, not a lot of people were in the place after the brawl. Their were 4 people in a group, the silver-haired female from the fight, two blonde haired males which looked like they worked in the tavern and a blonde haired female. He was getting bored, he wanted to talk with the group but they seemed like friends and he didn't want to interrupt them anyway he wasn't very good at introductions. He was playing with a small explosive ball he created from under the desk, just in case he needed it under extreme circumstances but It didn't seem like anything was happening, "Nothing to do..."

There came a rider, one dressed in black as his custom-made chopper came roaring down the road. The rumbling coming from the extremely long tail pipes of the motorcycle, seemed to echo across the city streets, as puffs of fire and smoke where released in rhythmic intervals. The very emissions coming off the bike shrouded it in smoke, and obviously it looked like this man wasn't doing his part to help climate change. He pulled up to the side of the Tavern and parked his bike whose handlebars were no less small than the tailpipes. He cut of the motor as it died down along with the smoke. From their the designs are more easily seen, as several strange symbols are shown on the bike, many seem Satanic in origin such as pentagrams and the Leviathan Cross. This man didn't seem to be doing much to ward of evil. It seems he blatantly invites it.

He stepped off his bike, the man was dressed in a leather jacket that seemed to have a bull skull and pentagram etched in the back. He readjusted his hat as he took off his sunglasses. Which would seem rather odd to be wearing them at this hour. Still it looks like little bothers this man. Whose long hair is partially placed in a small ponytail while the rest flows on to his shoulders. He had a full beard but appears to keep it trimmed, making him not look like a complete beatnik. He then took out a cigarette and lit as he stood outside for a few puffs. He didn't seem to notice any fights or commotions coming from around the back of the building and instead walked in. He looked at the bar scene and it looked like a normal dive, there were some people that seemed too young to be in a bar. He didn't think he would find kids in here but so long as they don't give him shit he could care less.

He walked passed the tables and situated him self on a bar stool. He called over the barkeep with a Texas twang in his voice, "Hey a Jack Daniels over here hoss." Some bartender passed him a shot of whiskey as the man took to it like a water, downing it as quickly as he got it. He continued to smoke his cigarette as an ashtray was brought to him. "Mighty appreciate it hoss." He spoke as he tapped the butt smoke as ashes fell into the glass tray. He then called for another whiskey as he placed his jacket on the table. He wore a plain black shirt but it looked like he was wearing a chain necklace with a medallion of some odd symbol, down the sides of his arms where these intricate tattoos with some cool patterns. Although most people wouldn't think much about them but to Johnny they help serve a purpose. He seemed to be wearing rings on his fingers most of which screams metal head. In fact his whole body screams metal head except for the obvious cowboy styling. The man's finger nails seemed to be a bit longer than average and seemed to come to a point. It would be an odd sight considering this doesn't look like a man who would be caught dead in a beauty parlor. Another whiskey was given to him as the man took another swig before putting it away. He then sighed. "Long day?" asked the Bartender. "Heh, you could say somethin' like that." He chuckled as he snuffed out his cigarette. Little did they know that this man was being hunted...

Dylan decided he was bored so he went to his limousine outside and went back to the mansion where he was greeted by a few of his butlers inside the front door, "Can one of you make me some dinner, already?" the chefs made it as quick as they could. It took 10 minutes, he sat and in the dining room and the butlers brought down Zoey, his "adopted daughter", that's how he saw her. He always had a soft spot for the child. "How are you, Zoey? Have a nice day?" he asked before eating some of his food, it was actually a fairly big meal, but it was okay, he was pretty hungry. He had finished after fifteen minutes, "Thomas!" one of his butlers came over, "Yes, sir?". "Take our dishes, will you?" Dylan gave Thomas the plate and he walked into the kitchen. "Do you want to do anything in particular?" Dylan actual liked spending time with the child, despite her constant mood swings and he often tried to be as non asshole-ish as he possibly could around her, it almost always worked.
