Beyond The Wall
The year was 2015 and it was a cold day in January when the world first discovered the existence of vampires and werewolves. They've hidden themselves among the shadows and walked beside man since the dawn of time but man was just too preoccupied with war, politics and technology to ever notice them. In a world hidden within our own the vampires and werewolves have fought for ages for reasons the new generations has all but forgotten. It's all just instinct now, woven into their DNA but now, since the humans discovered them they too have been drawn into the never ending war. At first man wanted to stay out of the war, wanted to study these creatures in secret by capturing them and experimenting on them but because of them everything went to straight to shit.
2021, the military captured a vampire noble by the name of Aurel, one of the three sons to the vampire king himself, Dracula. They didn't stop there though, they also captured Costela, daughter to the leader of the very first (out of two) werewolf clan and direct descendant of Romulus, Cassius. They tortured and experimented on them until they finally succumbed to man's heinous acts. When both races found out they were outraged, more than they ever were and for a short time, made a peace treaty. The vampires and werewolves raged war against the humans and so the war that changed the world forever began.
2024, humans are losing against the werewolves and vampires but tension also rises once more against the two supernaturals. Packs begin to go against their Alpha's orders and refuse to work with the vampires and the same goes for the vampires.
2026, man have created a special military group who call themselves hunters. They have been deployed all through the major cities, acting as police for the humans but also as supernatural exterminators. The werewolves and vampires were hunted and killed almost to extinction and those who were left signed a peace treaty with the humans and hunters.

2027, the treaty is put into motion. All supernaturals, even the civil ones are casted out of their homes, cities and towns. A huge wall is erected that divides the three species with the humans on one side and the vampires and werewolves on the adjacent side. The supernaturals are left to fend for themselves and live in poverty because if they ever enter the cities the hunters won't hesitate to kill them on sight.
2030, werewolves and vampires have split their land, with the vampires accompanying the west while the werewolves own the east. There is a great river separating their territories. Dracula died during the encounter with the hunters and so has Cassius. Most, if not all of the pure bloods have been killed on both sides only leaving a handful that are almost all leaders of their respected pack or coven. Finding a pure blood or direct descendant of the ancients would be almost impossible.
2036, the first mention of hybrids arises in the city and they aren't the few that the military have been trying to create. Natural born hybrids begin popping up, all of them either being half werewolf or half vampire. Hunters, instead of killing them since they are half human, began casting them out to the other side of the wall to fend for themselves like they once did with the vampires and werewolves. Tension has also risen among the supernaturals and hunters once more as the hunters begin teasing them from above the wall and committing sabotage with intentions of breaking their treaties so they can finish killing them all.

The sun finished setting and the darkest of twilights was now upon Lilith. Her heart raced as she ran as fast as she humanly could, brown locks whipping wildly in the air behind her. Her once clean converses were stained with dirt and mud and her arm was injured, one small silver bullet lodged in her shoulder. The bullet was weakening her which is why she hasn't been able to escape the people chasing her, the hunters.
The cool night air carries the scent of gunpowder and blood because as Lilith is running the hunters are taking their shots at her, bullets whizzing by her, as another manages to graze her cheek. A stinging hiss left her lips. She's had enough, she had to get out of this is she was going to live. Her mother didn't smuggle her over the wall for her to die.
Suddenly Lilith's movements shifted and with the strength, she had left she managed to grab hold of a low-hanging branch and disappeared into the thick vegetation. Everything fell silent and there sat Lily, in the dark waiting and watching. Her breathing was harsh but as soon as the hunters appeared, she went completely silent. The squad leader, a vampire had stopped abruptly. He could sense Lilith and she knew this but he couldn't accurately pinpoint her position which worked in her favor.
Very quietly Lilith began making her way around from branch to branch until her foot slipped, causing leaves to rustle. Her head shot towards the small group beneath her and just as she did her green eyes made contact with the leader's dark brown ones. In an instant he aimed his gun at her and shot, the bang echoing throughout. As Lilith avoided being hit she was forced once more back onto the ground. The tall, smug looking hunter was the first to respond as Lily was the closest to him. He tried shooting her once more up front but Lilith smacked his hand away, his gun falling to the ground. Before he could respond Lilith hit him with a hook to his jaw then a knee to the stomach, immobilizing him for the moment as she took on her next opponent.
The short blonde from the team of three quickly ditched her gun for the whip she carried on her hip. She gave it a menacing crack, the silver tip gleaming in the moonlight for a second. Lilith, on the other hand, was struggling, she couldn't keep her eyes on the whip because the incredible pain in her shoulder was distracting her, that and she was beginning to feel lightheaded. Her stomach felt as if it wanted to expel everything she consumed that day. Her veins were slowly feeling as if liquid fire was running through them as the silver poisoned her further. The huntress began with a lashing aimed at Lily's face but she ducked just in time but suddenly she felt her legs stuck in place. She looked down and saw the whip wrapped tightly around her legs but before she could act the huntress pulled on it hard and Lilith fell back onto the dirt, slightly winding herself in the process.
As she was being dragged, most likely towards the Asian man, the leader, and vampire of the group, the sky was blurring in and out. She was out of strength, poisoned and dying. The silver was also stopping her vampiric rage, she was going to die. When the dragging stopped all was quiet for a few seconds except the crunching of leaves beneath the hunter's boots. He walked up to her, a smug look crossing his features like the bastard she punched earlier. He pointed his gun right at her and Lilith's vision focused enough to point him with a fiery gaze. If she was going to die Lilith wanted to let this man know how much she despised him, even if her voice seemed to all but vanished.

One second a man was standing over a helpless girl with a gun while two others watched with enjoyment... And the next a head of blonde hair came speeding in like a bullet to tackle the man to the ground like a linebacker sacking a quarter. You could hear his bones snapping as he hit the ground and the blonde knocked the gun as far away from his hand as possible. Now just two more to go.
It could've just been a normal day of hunting. It could've if Drew hadn't decided to play hero for a girl she never met. It better be worth making her miss her deer. The man she tackled was still on the ground but she wasn't an idiot. He'd be back for another go soon enough. She could smell his vampire blood and hear his bones slowly reforming. Drew was going to have to act quickly then.
The two reacted as slow as slow as Drew expected from humans. They came at her from opposing sides clearly not coming up with a usable strategy against her. The girl with the short blonde hair cracked her whip in Drew's direction but Drew was all too prepared and ducked down. The man coming from her other side instead felt the tip of the whip slash at his cheek and he blurted out a few choice words at the huntress.
Drew took advantage of this moment of distraction to use her supernatural speed to pop up behind the male hunter and strike him down with a hard knee to the back and a kick to the head. That should keep him down while she took care of the annoying blonde and her silver tipped whip. The girl smirked at her and she made another crack of her whip and Drew braced herself. She put up her arm to block her face and the whip wrapped around her forearm and drew blood.
It was immensely painful but Drew gritted her teeth and pushed through by grabbing the whip with her free hand and tugging to launch the girl towards her and loosen her grip. Drew then came charging towards her with a punch to the gut followed by two to the jaw to knock her down. Drew finally dropped the whip to the ground allowing her arm to finally beginning healing at a rapid rate. Now she just had the leader left and she could finally be done playing hero.
Speak of the devil, the leader finally got up to face her. Drew couldn't help but smirk as they both got into a fighting stance. He wasn't human. Drew cold smell his vampire blood the entire time but at least that meant he wouldn't be too easy to fight. But it wasn't like she'd need her sword anytime soon. Drew's eyes flashed blue for a brief moment before the two clashed at each other moving at intense speeds as they struck back and forth landing good hits and combinations on the other.
Drew eventually grew board and hit him hard enough to knock him back for a bit and wiped up the bit of blood left on her arm. He came after her once more and Drew caught his punch with a smirk as she whispered something in latin and he fell to the ground asleep. She then walked confidently over to the girl they were going after and gave her a hand. "Let's go princess, he won't stay asleep for very long."

Right when Lilith thought she was about to hear the click of the gun that would end her life, a blur of blonde and black crossed her vision, tackling the vampire in front of her to the ground. She released the breath she was holding before realizing that the blur she saw was, in fact, a person, a woman to be exact. Lilith watched for a few moments, watched as the woman who came to her rescue took on the three hunters before her. Although her attention was briefly caught elsewhere, Lilith knew that she had to use this time to dig that bullet out of shoulder if she wanted to begin healing. And that's what she did.
Lilith dug her slender fingers into the small bleeding hole on her shoulder, blinking back tears and holding in painful moans as she did, a few moans still escaping her lips no matter how hard she tried swallowing the pain. As the battle happened around her, Lilith kept digging until her fingers touched the bullet instantly sending a burning pain up her hand. With her other hand, she dug into the dirt, trying to cope with the pain however she could. Once she pulled the bullet out the wound began to heal, not instantly but fast enough that by the time the fight was over the bullet hole was scarring up.
By this point things had gotten pretty quiet around her, hearing one last hard thud before her rescuer helped her to her feet. That's when Lilith realized just how drained and still woozy she felt. She still needed blood to recover and she did ponder the thought of draining one of these hunters, for a split second but Lilith pushed it to the back of her head. It didn't feel right to her.
Lilith tilted her head to look at the blonde who was now helping her walk. She honestly didn't know what to say, I mean a simple thank you wasn't going to be enough, she thought. She just saved her life and those two little words didn't feel like enough to express her gratitude but nonetheless, those two words still found a way to slip out. "Thank you..." her voice came out lower than she intended, weak almost. That's when it hit her. The smell of... wet dog as she'd describe it but by no means was it an insult it's just the only way Lily knew how to describe it. Especially since this was her actual first time meeting one up close and personal. "You're a wolf?" her question was full of curiosity and maybe a bit of awe. For a second Lilith almost forgot all about how weak she felt but then she took a few more steps and that was it, her vision went black. She had passed out and when she woke up it wasn't going to be pretty.
