A hari-onago, when having a victim close in on her, will let out a coy laugh and a bat of her eyelashes. Should the other party respond with a laugh or a flirtatious wink, then she will attack. Removing the comb that secured her hairstyle, her tresses will tumble down to the ground to reveal each strand to be barbed and needle-like at the points. Possessing full control over her hair, a hari-onago can command each strand individually to ensnare her victim, the barbs and sharpness sinking into their flesh with a strength so great that not even Sumo wrestlers can escape. After killing and tearing up her victim past recognition with blinding speed, a hari-onago will pin her hair up once more before continuing with her stroll down the road, searching for a new victim.

With closets upon closets lined with kimonos, yukatas, hadajubans, cheongsams and other various oriental dressings in thousands of color combinations, it is Amaterasu's joy in life.
✧Her Pipe - Possessing a gold and mahogany kiseru pipe, you can almost always find the object nestled in this goddess's right hand, puffs of blue-gray smoke twirling out from it's opening.

✧The Moon - Her 'old friend', the Moon was there for her long before anyone else was. Adoring the luminous planet to no end, Teru can still be found carrying out with her old tradition of reading poetry to it..especially so on nights when it is full.
✦Kana - Despite her attempts not to grow close to others, Teru has found herself emotionally latching onto the Yuki-Onna. Reminding her quite a bit of Ai, her own daughter, it is quite evident that this goddess treats this particular servant and her husband differently from the rest of her minions.

- ✦Insubordination - More then anything in this world, this goddess hates it when others attempt to belittle her person. Possessing a wretched superiority complex that refuses to bend, anyone that attempts to 'outdo' her, often, meets a rather sorry end.
✧Interruptions - It isn't really just that she loves being the center attention and that someone is attempting to steal it away that bothers her... its the fact that someone could be so unrefined as to stop her contribution to put in their own feedback.

✧Shamisen - Able to play a 'dying' instrument, many of her loyal followers will flock around in order to hear even the shortest tidbit of the heavenly notes. Having taken Amaterasu years to master, she has gone through multiple trials (from soaking her finger tips in ice for hours on end to tying stones around her ankles) in order to get to the point of mastery she is at now.. and it shows.
✦Fan Dancing - When she would visit the human realm, Amaterasu would often pay the geishas in Kyoto a visit.. and it was all due to this particular ability. Having been captivated by the talented women and their skill of twirling about with fans, the goddess implored them to teach her so that she may possess the same grace. While rare for her to demonstrate this knowledge in front of others, she still finds comfort in going through the movements of this dance in the privacy of her own home.
✧Courting - Through either her own natural charm or through the use of, what she calls, 'every woman's secret weapon', Ama is able to win over the hearts of other and gain their trust and protection within a few minutes of their meeting. After all, a few purposefully placed smiles and baited gazes do go a long way.

- ✦Deceptive - While exuding the air of being abnormally sweet and accepting, this woman, in all honesty, is worse than a snake. Quick to only reveal her facade to other, no one truly knows of this woman's twisted nature and her lack of morals. After all, the prettiest faces, often, hide the most demonic person.
✧Superiority Complex - Rasu, being of the original 5 gods, tends to hold herself in a higher light than others. Assuming with certainty that she was meant to be the ruler of all gods, it is only natural that there does not exist (in her mind) a single individual that can trump her beauty or strength. While she is very careful in letting this trait shine through her mask, this flaw has, ultimately, made her extremely self-centered on her motivations.
✦Wrathful - Possessing a wretched temper when she is displeased, it goes without saying that you never want to see Amaterasu in this state. While it does take an extreme amount of effort to make her angry, even this goddess's patience has a limit. When raging, she has even been known to, on more than one occasion, cause havoc on the human realm, no one being spared from her cruelty.
✧Grudge-Holder - Unfortunately, Amaterasu has never learned the whole "forgive and forget" motto…and it shows.
✦Sadistic - One who enjoys making others feel degraded, Amaterasu uses this personality flaw as a way to ride out her 'power trips'. Not afraid to deliver punishment upon servants who disobey her, she usually turns the entire ordeal into a mind game; be cruel and then utter sweet words of apology to make them crawl back. For this goddess, it is all very entertaining.
✧No Attachments - Quick to recognize when one of her puppets are becoming useless, Amaterasu is the type of person who abandons those who are 'weak'. Not wishing to have others be a burden on her conscious or throne, she is quick to stab others in the back and cast them out should they became just that; a fragile link in her chain.

- ✦Losing Power - After struggling and plotting this much to gain her current status, it shouldn't be a surprise that Ama fears the day that she is removed from her throne. Wouldn't anyone be?
✧Abandonment - While she would never dare voice this truth, a part of Amaterasu, secretly, fears the idea of being abandon and forgotten.
✦Mice - Despite being composed and collected, Teru, upon seeing a mouse, goes into a child-like state of fear. Screaming for someone to kill it and climbing atop the tables, it can be quite a shock for anyone seeing the goddess in this state. However, even with her attempts to banish such weakness, there still is something about their beady eyes and constant noises that strikes fear into her heart.
I seldomly stop to think things through and reason with myself.. I was a fool not to recognize that there would be a price to pay for that, someday.

Possessing twin tessan fighting fans, the weapon, in itself, looks to be very unassuming and innocent.. much like this goddess's outward facade. With stretched black silk and the embossed outline of a white sakura tree, only a gold snake engraved into the handle providing a splash of colour, the fans themselves look as though they should be hung on the wall for decorating purposes. Hidden from the untrained eye are small razor blades forged into the fan's curve, their lethality rimming the entire border and providing a clash with the gentle concept of femininity. Once turned over, it becomes even more apparent that these fans were not meant to be a mere decoration. Tucked away and disguised by the black silk exists 4 kunai daggers on each fan, making 8 in total, with each blade having the same iconic feminine design as on the fan.

- It is quite odd, wouldn't you say, that a single person is forced to represent both the Moon and the Sun? And, even more so, that the Sun belongs to a Goddess and not a God...after all, a masculine symbol shouldn't be opposed unto a female, now should it? Very few may know this but, centuries ago when the Earth was still young, there did, in fact, exist a husband and a wife who were tasked with the duty of overseeing these two vital orbs in the sky.
Before she was married, Ōhirume-no-muchi-no-kami was an enchanting young maiden who adored nothing more than her lovely Moon. Protecting it with her life and entire being, she could have often been found, during night, having a one-sided conversation with the planet..despite it never responding. As such, there existed no room in her heart for another,even though she had countless pursuing her wedding hand. Never one to give into the advances of her suitors, many of the young gods began to whisper she was a 'heartless monster' for her bluntness in her refusals.. though it never really bothered. However, as fate would have it, that maidenhood would soon end. The day Ōhirume-no-muchi-no-kami's destiny was sealed began like any other; with prayer rituals in her sacred temple followed by an evening reading of poetry to the Moon. However, all of her plans were halted as she stumbled upon a drunken intruder within her sacred halls, two Tanuki girls under each of his arms. As you can imagine, the Moon Goddess was beyond infuriated that such 'scum' was even allowed to cross into her threshold... and her temper only flared after learning he was the Sun God, Chikyū no Hinokami.
In spite of his apologies, the devoted Moon guardian still held grudges against the man, especially so considering how loose he was with his devotions to the Sun. However, time can, thankfully, heal all wounds. Through Chikyū no Hinokami's relentless visits, each one bearing new gifts for Ōhirume-no-muchi-no-kami, the two began to mend their past offenses... before anyone could have predicted it, their relationship blossomed further than acquaintances.
Becoming inseparable, both deities bestowed unto each other the usage of their 'real' names; Amaterasu and Raito. Everyday, Raito actively sought out his counterpart to spend his time with her, something that Teru, finally, learned to accept. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and months, finally, turned into years, their relationship seemed to be unbreakable. On the 3rd year that marked the first meeting of the Sun and the Moon, Raito proposed to Amaterasu. With nervous joy, the Moon Goddess opened her heart to say yes.. before the month was even over, the two were wedded in bliss.
As a match that couldn't have been anymore perfect, Raito and Teru only fell deeper into love as time wore on. In fact, many Gods and Goddess couldn't have believed that they were, at one point, single individuals. And then, 30 years following their wedding, the Sun God was inflicted with 'wandering eyes'. Growing distant from his wife, a darkness begun to settle within his heart as greed consumed his thoughts. On a nightly basis, he would complain to his soul mate about wishing for more power, about the craving growing deep inside his person. Naturally, Amaterasu felt frightened by these words.... though, she kept quiet. Wishing to somehow find a cure for this illness within her husband, the goddess turned to the one thing she relied on for so many years before meeting the Sun; the Moon. An answer came a mere week later in the form of an embryo growing inside Amaterasu; her first child. Overwhelmed by joy, Raito forgot entirely about his cravings and, in turn, focused on their soon-to-arrive daughter..but the solution was only temporary.
Nine months later, Ten no Hoshi was born as a beautiful child that was soon to be adored by all. Rightfully bestowed with the name 'Ai', she became Amaterasu's treasure, her entire world. Though, despite the happiness their child brought, it couldn't have been ignored that Raito was beginning to make several enemies within the new gods.. apparently, talks about relinquishing their power to him to form one empire wasn't going over so well. In order to release his frustrations, the Sun God began to make frequent trips to the human world..namely the Red Light districts in Kyoto. Feeling ashamed in herself for failing as a wife, Teru turned a blind eye to Raito's new behavior.. and the fact he was ignoring their daughter's existence entirely.
When Ai reached the marker of her first 14 years alive, the fragile relation between the Sun God and his sanity finally snapped. Making an attempt to steal the life of another god, one could only imagine the surprise of the Moon Goddess as she came home to find a sword poised at her husband's neck. Knowing all too well there was nothing she could do with 5 gods circling him, Amaterasu merely shielded her daughter's eyes as Raito was executed on their front porch. For days following her husband's murder, the Moon's tears wouldn't stop and she refused to eat. Thinking nothing worse could possibly follow, Teru's already shattered heart was ground to dust when the 5 gods invaded her home once more.
Claiming that Ai, regrettably, couldn't continue to exist due to the corruption of her father's blood within her veins, Amaterasu watched helplessly as they dragged her only remaining family out the door. With malnutrition and a re-broken heart, she was forced, once again, to stand aside with tear-stained cheeks as everything she loved was stolen from her life.
A week was spent in tears, the goddess refusing to even emerge from her domain. And then, finally, a thought occurred to her; revenge. With a new found fury, the Moon absorbed the Sun's soul, as well as his powers, to become the one guardian, her mind becoming corrupted and heart black,. Lying in wait for a hundred years, she finally made her move in exacting her revenge; turning the sun red, she exiled the gods that stole her life from her, vowing that, should they return one day, she would destroy them.
