Childhood/Family Life:
The Rockefeller name comes with a lot of privilege, and Kate was introduced to that fresh out of the womb. She's the second child of David Rockefeller, Jr. (73), and Diana Newell-Rockefeller (59), but is only older than her "younger" brother by two minutes, since they're twins. Besides the twins, David and Diana also conceived a son together, five years before they were born. Her parents were both career-oriented people but didn't allow their children to be raised by nannies, as many of their friends did. Both parents, but more so her mother, were heavily involved in Kate's childhood and were the main people who taught her how to be a Rockefeller... because just being born into the family wasn't enough. Being a Rockefeller is a lifestyle, and something that affected every part of her life. Before she even realized it, she was running her generation in New York. Every parent wanted their child to have a playdate with her, private schools were vying for her attendance, and she was attending parties with some of the most elite people in the world before she had even hit puberty.

She knows that she's lucky that she's the only girl in the family, because her father has focused his energy on passing down the business aspect of the family's legacy on the boys over her. It's something that she was always more than okay with, but she never wanted to be a useless member of society who leached off off of her family for support. And, while she always thought that the idea of marrying someone just as wealthy as her, who could show her off as his beautiful wife would be lovely, she doesn't want to just be a trophy wife. She's intelligent, and she just recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in pre-med, with a focus on biology, from Columbia University. When she first started school, she was sure that she wanted to continue on to medical school and become a doctor, but she's second guessing that thought now. She has the degree, and for her, that's kind of enough. She's proven that she's intelligent and it doesn't seem necessary to continue her education or start working right now when she doesn't actually need to. She has the money to support herself for one hundred lifetimes, and she feels like she's at her prime right now. It's time to have fun and relax, and if her plan had went accordingly, she would be doing that, but not on camera. While Kate has known to be one of the most scandalous Rockefeller offspring, she likes being scandalous on her own terms. She doesn't want to be committed through a contract to being stalked. It's enough dealing with that when she's going in and out of clubs or trying to sit through a meal without being interrupted by someone asking for a photo.

Quirks//Habits//Oddities:
She's a social media addict, but she's very careful about what she posts, and how those posts will reflect on her. She's a good tipper. She prefers eating at restaurants over getting takeout. She's a picky eater. She always has mint gum on her. She has thousands of dollars worth of makeup, and yet hates doing her own makeup.

Good personality traits:
Poised, energetic, daring, connected, sociable

Bad personality traits:
Vain, selfish, materialistic, dismissive

Personality:
Kate Rockefeller is not someone that everyone loves, but she can guarantee that she's someone that everyone knows about, and that's good enough for her. She doesn't need you to like her, because there are a million other people who not only like her, but want to be her. From the outside, she's the girl that has everything you want. She's sitting on a fortune of an insurmountable size, is a part of one of the most respected families in American history, is gorgeous and associates with only the wealthiest and most popular people. Socially, she's part of a crew that has the power to start trends just through a simple photo being posted of them wearing something, and it's a power that she relishes in. She loves attention, but she loves attention on her terms. That means that while she savors selfies and finding the perfect angle for her latest Instagram post, she is not okay with constantly being stalked and photographed by paparazzi. Unlike a lot of people she hangs out with, Kate isn't famous for anything besides her family name. She's not an actress or musician, so she doesn't feel like she signed up for a life that entails absolutely no privacy. Well, she could at least claim that before she was forced into this show by her parents. She thinks of herself as being confident and comfortable in her own skin, and if that makes her vain, then so be it.

It's interesting how she clings to her family's name sometimes, and can mimic that perfect, prim and proper appearance that they have aimed to put off for centuries, and yet at the same time, be scandalous. And she is. Don't let the charity ball appearances, refusal to do interviews, and meekness in the media fool you. Kate knows her way around the social scene, but her family's influence has always seemed to protect her from being blasted on the cover of TMZ for being arrested for public intoxication (with the case quickly being dropped once she got to the station and her identity was confirmed), or when she and her brother engaged in a screaming match in the lobby of the Miami Ritz-Carlton. Always being untouchable and rarely ever being called out for her misdeeds definitely shaped Kate's personality because she feels like that's how she should be treated in her personal life as well. Unaccountable. She doesn't like to take responsibility for her mistakes, and a lot of the time, genuinely finds it difficult to feel like she did wrong in situations where she clearly is. She values her own feelings over others, and yet... she's not a horrible person. She has friends and people who truly like hanging out with her, because despite these flaws, she can be a fun person to hang out with. She takes good care of her friends, financially and emotionally, and is someone who is genuinely interested in having a tight group of girlfriends who will be friends for life. She's loyal, flirty, organized and intelligent. Sometimes, she just forgets to make sure that those characteristics are as visible as the poor ones.

Greatest joys in life:
Her wardrobe, her family's name, socializing, money

Greatest fears:
Ending up in a scandal that's too big for even her name to excuse, public humiliation, spiders

Life philosophy:
"People love you until they don’t need you anymore."
Kate has always been the girl who loves cliche romantic things, but she's become more guarded with herself over the years. Most recently, after being cheated on by the boy she thought she was going to marry, she's scared to ever invest herself in someone again. She can't stand the idea of not being important to someone she put at the most important level, so she's trying to grow colder and harder, hoping to kill off that part of her that wants the fairy tale ending.

Hair Colour:
Brown

Eye Colour:
Blue

Distinguishing Marks:
Nothing aside from ordinary ear piercings

Style:
Her style is sophisticated and classy... but flattering. She rarely ever goes for that "so tight it might as well be spandex" look, but she doesn't mind showing a bit of cleavage here and there. When it comes down to it, she's a Rockefeller, so the designer matters, the price matters, and more than anything, maintaining a high-class and respectable appearance matters.

If there was a way for Olivia to avoid the stupid cameras and the overall idea of being filmed for an entire summer, she would have done it. She had been close, earlier in the morning, to simply slipping out of New York on a last minute flight to Florida. Aaliyah wanted to spend time with her family, anyway. It would have made sense if one of the girls went with her. It wouldn't have been sooooo much of a big deal if one of the girls going with Aaliyah happened to be Liv. However, she had signed a contract last night, Elliot would not let her walk out of it, and the cameramen were already filing in the middle of her photo shoot for Teen Vogue. Rolling her eyes, Olivia had had to suck it up, tossed her brother a small glare, and then concentrated on getting through the rest of the photo shoot. She didn't have time to focus on how much she hated her parents at the moment. The cameraman for the shoot was rearranging the girls and she had to make herself very comfortable on the floor with Deanna.

Once the photo shoot was over, Liv had to hurry up and get dressed. She honestly didn't even care what she had on, even though - to be quite honest - not caring about what she wore didn't mean her outfit wasn't going to be Instagram-worthy. Luckily for her, despite its location, New York City summers were almost as sweltering as Atlanta's and her shorts were very much welcome in the nearly oppressive air that surrounded them the second the siblings managed to get past fans and the paparazzi. Everyone else would be heading over to the Rockefeller family's penthouse in Manhattan for a brunch with their parents. It would give the director time to film all of them moving in temporarily to the spacious apartment, let them do something normal like having a five-star gourmet breakfast, and then discuss the plans for the evening. Such as the dinner party in lieu of a prominent New York socialite's engagement to a European dignitary. All trivial matters that Liv would have rather heard about from her large bedroom in California where she could sip on her peach sangria and munch on popcorn. Or be anywhere...that wasn't here.

"Will you stop pouting for five seconds, sis?" Elliot exclaimed, exasperated yet still teasing, after five minutes of them being alone in their town car. Olivia paused in scrolling through her instagram feed to glare at her brother. "Ok, screw you. Not exactly excited to be in front of a camera for the entirety of my summer, for your information." Elliot raised an eyebrow, eyed his sister's attire for a moment, before replying, "Really? I couldn't tell." If either sibling could kill each other, they would probably do it and save each other the misery of having to deal with being bombarded by cameras the second they exited the vehicle. It wasn't like Elliot himself was particularly excited about participating in the show. At the same time, who was it going to really hurt? Everyone practically knew all of their secrets, last he checked. And it wasn't like any of them weren't good at keeping secrets if they were serious enough that they would need to stay away from the probing eyes of the cameras. All they had to do was continue like none of it was real; like all of them were simply in a house together because their parents were insensitive assholes.

"I'm not about to argue with you. I'm dressed like any other person who dresses like my age in the summer. Don't even start with me, Javie," Liv stated sharply. Her brother always liked to act like she didn't know how to dress appropriately, especially now that she was older and actually could just ignore him. While Elliot himself was dressed like he was headed to a tea party in the middle Buckingham Palace's gardens, Liv was dressed like she was about to go hang out with friends. His look wasn't her own and she was not about to spend her summer being lectured every time she walked out of her closet. "I'm not starting anything, Liv. Just...don't let this get to you, ok? One summer. We don't even know if this will even get picked up for a second season. It's just remedial." He explained after a sigh and Liv didn't respond; she was focused on texting her faves. They were getting closer and closer to the Rockefeller's home anyway. Elliot pulled out his phone and did the same.

It probably wasn't good that filming for the show had started only a few hours ago, and yet Jack was already fatigued by it all. It was no secret that the Rockefeller's were the most resistant towards doing the show. They were a very business-oriented family, so unlike the other two families who had children in the entertainment industry, bad publicity didn't help them in any way. Granted, Charlie, Kate and Jack couldn't necessarily say that they were as un-involved in all of that as they wanted to say. Kate was rampant on the social scene, and all three of them were involved in social circles including some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Including the Belluccis and the Kings... even if they didn't consider the Belluccis to actually be their friends right now. Or at least, Jack thought that they weren't supposed to think of them as friends right now. He really wasn't sure what he was supposed to think. According to Charlie's words, Luciana and Serena weren't to be trusted, just as much as Mike wasn't. Jack knew that he shouldn't have been surprised by the unreasonable logic behind it, considering how much his brother was like his father, and how much his father prided himself in being loyal to his family. However, it didn't make sense to him. He was just supposed to end his friendship with Lucy and Serena, just because Michael cheated on Kate? He hated Mike just as much as Charlie did for what he did to their sister, but Lucy and Serena did absolutely nothing wrong. Nothing. It proved to be a big conflict for Jack now more than ever. He was able to get away with still maintaining that normal friendship for the past month as long as his siblings weren't around, but now this show was going to force him to be with them at the same time as his siblings.

"Thank God that you finally decided to shave. That scruffy look just makes you look homeless, Jack. Definitely not a good look for you." He rolled his eyes as his sister hurried past him as they walked down the staircase. "But was it really necessary for you to wear denim too? I mean, I don't want us being twins to be my storyline." Jack hadn't noticed that the denim in his outfit coordinated with the outfit his sister was wearing. "So take off your jacket then. It's not the middle of November," Jack suggested, with his tone being consistently innocent, though his eyes twinkling with the knowledge of how easy it was to tick off his sister. "Ever hear of air conditioning? It might as well be January with how could this house is." Jack couldn't resist smirking now. Even when Kate knew he was just trying to piss her off, she had to make a come back. She always had to have the last word, even when her being so expressive and reactive just proved that she was losing. "Besides, someone needs to dress well to combat Olivia. If we're going to be forced into this show, I don't want it to be tagged as being pornographic after just one episode." Kate had reached the bottom of the staircase and stood to face him as he slowly followed her to the bottom. His smirk faded slightly as she made a jab about Olivia, but it wasn't out of the ordinary where it caused a rise out of him. Everyone in their circle knew that the girls didn't get along, and it reminded him of his own dilemma. If Serena had managed to deal with the difficulties of appeasing both Kate and Liv in their friendship, than he would have to find a way to deal with his issues as well. "Be nice, Kate. See if you can be the sweet, perfect twin that everyone thinks you are. At least today. At least while they're filming." He expected Kate to be that way anyway, but he wanted to reinforce it.

One of the most notable things about his family was that they did value their image. This show was going to be an interesting test against that, be Jack guessed that at least in the beginning, his siblings would be able to keep the crazy on the down low. Besides, it wasn't like Kate and Olivia had ever had any real fights before. They mostly just ignored each other or talked poorly about each other behind the other's back. Again, though, now with the show, they were going to be forced to interact with each other, and Jack didn't know how well that would pan out.

"Oh, shut up. Out of everyone I'm supposed to spend my summer with, she's the least of my worries," she acknowledged as they headed through the first floor of the Rockefeller townhouse. Unlike many wealthy New Yorkers, the Rockefellers didn't opt for just a penthouse apartment. They had one of those downtown, but on 5th Avenue, their main residence was a six story town house. It was fitted with ten bedrooms, sixteen bathrooms, a finished basement with a wine cellar, a gym, greenhouse, two kitchens (with one being used for catering), among other luxury features. Really, it had more of a house feel than an apartment, and it was one of the main lures for the Rockefellers to purchase the place to act as their main residence. Of course, main residence meant little for a family that was constantly on the move, and that was spoken to this summer, with Mr. and Mrs. Rockefeller planning on spending their summer in between houses in Beverly Hills, Miami, Monte Carlo, Nice, London and the Hamptons.

Today would be the last day that Jack and Kate would spend with their parents for at least a few weeks, but it was nothing heart wrenching. They were used to everyone being all over the place, and because of the cameras being present, had already said their real goodbyes that morning. Jack had not responded to Kate's reference to her being more concerned with the others, presumably Michael and the Belluccis, with a quip, because he knew it would have been inappropriate. It went back to how Charlie had insisted that the disrespectful act towards Kate was really an act of disrespect towards all of them, and it wasn't a laughing matter. Brunch was being served in the fifth floor's dining room, where the impeccable view was hoped to set the mood for the day.

"Kate, we actually want you upstairs when everyone arrives. Charlie's up there too, and we might get a quick take on you two talking, or an interview. Jack, you can wait down here." One of the producers for the show was making a brief appearance. Apparently, there show was supposed to be pretty true to reality, but to start off the series, they wanted at least some involvement in the actives. Jack nodded, not really caring about where he was placed. He preferred not having to deal with Charlie and Kate right now anyway, and he was sure that his parents were upstairs somewhere as well. As Kate hurried upstairs, Jack was granted a few moments of silence, and during so, he was able to text back Liv.

Charlie Rockefeller thought that he was the only sensible person on the planet at this point. He had weighed all of the pros and cons of doing this show multiple times, and it just didn't add up. They were all going to be making good salaries, and that was a known fact, since there was no way that Charlie would have been forced to sign the contract otherwise, but regardless, it wasn't a good investment. They'd have to be making a million dollars per person, per episode that came out of the filming, for reality television to be a good idea. He supposed that maybe for the Bellucis and Kings, it could be a good idea. The Kings had made their living off of the entertainment industry, so they were an example of how press, good or bad, could boost the relevancy of a name, and in turn, boost sales. That principle didn't apply to any of the Rockefeller businesses, including the one that he and Jack were now involved in, the investment and wealth management company, Rockefeller & Co. His clients didn't want to know that he could down a bottle of whiskey in a night or that when he drank too much, he mirrored his father's tendency of getting violent. It just wasn't good for business, and for Charlie, that was the most important. His parents insisted that it wasn't a priority right now, and that he needed to relax. They thought that him being involved in the show would be a good thing, because it would give him a reason to take a break from work. "We want grandchildren soon!" they would remind him every time he objected to the show, and finally, he obliged. He didn't think that he neglected his social life that much, but he supposed that maybe it wouldn't be horrible to cut down his hours at work for a few months. The idea of doing the show still didn't seem necessary, since he was sure that could relax without a contract, but everyone else knew that wasn't true.

So, here he was. Trying to make the best of being home before ten at night, when he usually left the office, on a Thursday. Much to his mother's dismay, he had already started picking at the brunch dishes whenever the chef turned her back, so that was at least allowing him to relax a bit. It must have been fate stepping in when the toasted coconut waffles that he planned on coating in vanilla rum butter came out of the waffle irons right as one of the producers for the show came into the catering kitchen announcing that the Bellucci's were arriving now. That mouthwatering smell was probably the only thing that kept him from leaving then and there. Michael Bellucci, that piece of trash, was the last person that Charlie ever wanted to be associated with again in his life. He had done his sister wrong, and cheating on her had crossed every line in the book. Charlie didn't know who Mike thought he was, or more so, what family he thought he was disrespecting, but he planned on teaching the chump that his family wasn't one to be messed with. He would have to wait until the cameras were turned off for that to happen, though. And until after he had devoured those pancakes, that his hand was slapped away from as soon as his mother walked by and caught him grabbing for one. "Kate's waiting for you. They want you and her inside, so head in there, Charles," his mother insisted, shooing him away as if he were a member of the house staff.

To: Elliot, Luciana
The hell has begun :/. Hope you all are more prepared than I am.

He paused, sending out a text to Elliot, before doing as requested, and headed into one of the living rooms where he found Kate. They were asking her some basic questions that they would possibly use in singular interview segments. While one camera was fixed on her, the producer motioned Charlie into a guest room off of that hallway, where a camera and lights were set up. He sat down, hiding his reluctance well under a confident smile. "So, you know, every so often, we'll sit you all down separately and just ask a few questions about whatever's been going on. It'll give our viewers the opportunity to get your opinion on whatever's going on. You know, see what's happening in your head, get your side of the story, and so on," a man who Charlie knew as Ryan, but couldn't for the life of him remember his role in this production, said. "So, just look at the camera and answer in full sentences, since they'll cut out my part where I'm asking you the questions..." Ryan directed, before mouthing and using his finger to count down "three, two, one". "Alright, so, how are you feeling about this summer? What are your thoughts on how it's going to pan out?" he asked. "I think this summer will be... one to remember. People think that they know a lot about all of us, but a lot of what is written about us is a blatant lie or fabricated to a point where it might as well be a lie. It should be interesting to see how people react to getting to know the real us." Or, the real Michael. They'll see how he's trash, and maybe then girls will realize that they should stop drooling over his appearance and attitude because if they achieved their dreams of dating him, he'd cheat on them within hours. Probably pass along an STD or two, too.

By the time the Kings arrived in front of the entrance of the Rockefeller home, Liv was antsy with a grumbling tummy awaiting food she knew was going to be good and Elliot just wanted to get the day over with. It was difficult for him, at least, having to miss out on some days at work, particularly as it pertained to bands and the like. Elliot was heavily involved in the first works of the artists of his father's Mafioso label; he oversaw albums being dropped, signings, the first few concerts, and a lot of the first few tears artists shed on tours. He was good at making them comfortable, making them ready to do their job, but also take care of the image they originally put out. And sure, Phil could handle the position while he was gone; Elliot was very sure about that. But was he happy about that? Was the guy who was typically in control at all times pleased by leaving everything he was proud of in the hands of some one person who happened to also be qualified for the position Elliot had to work to acquire? Hell no!

To: Rini, Jack Jack
Pulling up now

"Do you think everything will be okay? You know, with Mike and the others?" Liv, once her text to her friends was sent, asked as their Maybach slowed to a stop. Elliot paused in smoothing out his shirt, sighing. Elliot had told Olivia from day one that he didn't trust Mike. Thought he was the slimiest of the group, how he still couldn't possibly believe the guy was even remotely related to Serena and Luciana. Serena could be bad and her with Olivia was just trouble for him and Lucy sometimes. But Mike...Mike was a completely different ball game. Kate wasn't the nicest person in the entire world, but she had never earned what she got from that asshole. Elliot could only imagine how much it truly still pisses Charlie off to have to be in the house with the same guy who broke his sister's heart. Elliot couldn't do it - he probably would have killed Mike the second Liv came home in tears. "Look, he's a douche and like I said before, you need to stay away from him. We all do." Olivia rolled her eyes, running fingers through silver-and-gold streaked hair before forcing on a smile when their driver opened the door for her before letting Elliot out. "I'm...I get it, ok? I'm not saying I...condone what he did...I just..." She just didn't know how much of this was going to affect the way their summer went. The Belluci's and the Rockefellers had been friends for years. A rift between them was something serious. And...despite how much she despised what he did to Kate and how much Liv understood that Mike fucked up, he was still technically one of her friends.

"Awww, don't get all sentimental, Bubbles," Elliot exclaimed with an arm over her shoulder. It was enough to distract Olivia from the cameras flashing. "Remember, you're still allowed to have fun. Just...don't go overboard." Olivia pretended to make a face. "Whaaaat? Meeee? When have I ever...?" She wouldn't have trailed off if she hadn't just so happened to see Mike exiting a car and despite the conversation they were just having, Olivia couldn't fight the smile away. "Is that Mike Belluci over there!? Where's Rina and Luce?" She called and Elliot exhaled, heavily, and pulled out his phone.
