Introduction

RAPTURE LIVES



The year is 1975, six years after the events of Bioshock 2. The city of Rapture is in ruins beyond measure. Buildings are collapsing and what were once livable quarters are now loosing life support and succumbing to the ravages of the seas. What buildings are left are still being maintained by The Thinker and it's automatons, but slowly they too are breaking down. With Sophia Lamb gone, and her "Family" in disarray, the population of Rapture is dwindling. Splicers are too focused on fighting one another for their next shot of ADAM to have children and the non-Splicers left are too focused on surviving to bring children into their God-forsaken world. Little Sister are becoming a rarer and rarer sight while feral Big Sisters are increasing as the second generation of Little Sisters are growing older. Still bonded to their grown Little Sisters, the Big Daddies still follow their charges around Rapture; these duos forming dangerous teams.

While it is still anarchy through out most of Rapture, there are still sectors of growth; still hands pulling the Great Chain. Ryan Industrial Park is the last bastion of normalcy and sanity. The few remaining non-Spliced individuals left in Rapture have banded together with The Thinker to save what they can of Rapture before they all drown. Devon Genetics Research Company, a former competitor of Fontaine Futuristics, is now the hive of Splicer activity. Lead by a reclusive and shadowy individual calling him self Revear, the Splicers follow him blindly for their next dose of ADAM. Both are now at opposing goals, and neither can co-exists with the other. Someone is going to go down.

The curtain of the stage that is Rapture is drawing closed. It will be up to those mighty citizens of Rapture to either hoist the great city into glory or tear it apart for the last great treasure that is holds. Ascension or Devastation.

Toggle Rules

1. As GM I reserve the right to change rules and create new ones as situations arise.

2. As GM I reserve the right to "push" player characters through quasi-godmodding (nothing that is contrary to the character, but mainly just reactions depending on the situation)

3. All Roleplay Gateway rules apply.

4. God modding is discouraged, though if something is worked out between the two players ooc that is fine.

5. It is recommending that posts be made at least once every day or so. Posting length should be at minimum one five-sentence paragraph and at max three or four paragraphs.

6. Bioshock is an M rated game and as such this Rp will have limits matching Bioshock's M rating. Violence is okay, language is okay, and romance is okay. (To note, RPG rules supersede the limits set in place)

7. One character maximum (not counting pairs; i.e. Big Daddy/Little(or Big) sisters) for now. This might change if we need more characters.

8. Big Daddies will not be limited at this time but in the future might be. Just a heads up.

9. To make sure you have read the rules, I want you to put "IMMA CUCUMBER, PLEASE DON'T SEND ME TO THE PICKLE FARM" as the first sentence of your character's description in the description section of your character profile. This can be edited out later once approved.

I can't post in Activity cause I don't have a character, I guess, but yeah, I vote we try again maybe? I would have joined, but no one was posting so I didn't think it would be worth it... Eheh. Regardless I still want to be a houdini splicer. :D Question, though, will the houdini splicers actually be able teleport, or just turn invisible like in online mode? :P

I didn't think anybody left, I'm just a little disappointed in the slow posting is all. That's why I set the lax post length requirements was to encourage a regular posting cycle.

Okay, second part of my post done. All that's left is to post in Ryan Industrial. Also, I'm hoping that you are all watching at least the activity page. The activity is kind of a bit slow for my liking right now. Just to make sure you guys know, there is no real posting order (at least over the whole Rp). If the person you're interacting with has posted, feel free to post again.

Just to let you guys know, I'm going to be working on a post today. Hopefully I'll get it up soon, but I'm not making any promises since I'm going to have to write in several locations. That being said, my post in Rapture will basicly be setting up locations for you guys to meet and interact. There'll be one for the survivors and one for those who will side with Reaver.

The one person I'll be specificly interacting with will be Hanagumori. I'm going to try and get you down to Rapture ASAP so we can get everyone in on the story arc. So Hahagumori, make sure you read my post since you'll be specifically in it.

Don't worry about it, it's fine. I actually have been thinking about it and I've decided to do turn-around about the posting. To keep from strangling this Rp before it can get off the ground, you guys can go ahead and post. Just keep it insignificant to the over all story. Maybe do some backstory for your characters, or getting teams set up. It's all good to me.

Cool, not a problem. In fact we will still be taking character applications up until about twenty or so people join. Of course I don't think that's going to happen, so we're pretty much just going to be open forever.

I aware I'm a little late to the party,but could I possibly still make a character? I was most likely going to play a resident of Rapture. Not exactly a spliced, but certainly not devoid of mental abnormalities from the exposure of ADAM.
