The ruins of a once thriving medical center was now once more alive with activity. Dozens of splicers scurried about; some were in an ADAM induced stupor while others actually were working with purpose the likes they had not seen since ADAM entered their veins. While an air of fear hung about the ruins it at least was a center of activity. Everyone was desperate for their next dose of ADAM, and to get it they had to please their master, Reaver.

The activity came to a halt as two large brutish figures walked through the gate into the Devon Genetics Research Company's courtyard. In between them they held a lithe figure, still squirming, her metal boots clunking on the stone pathway. Her body had been beaten and bruise, the telltale black and blue marks peeking out from where her diving suit had been ripped off in the battle. Her spherical helmet was no were to be seen, ripped off by one of the ape-like men now dragging her forward.

Behind them came a procession of splicers. Most were reveling in their catch, another bounty of ADAM. Others were dragging or carrying the remains of those killed in the battle. The corpse, those mostly intact, were broke, burned, or punctured. Not a pleasant sight to behold but grotesqueness was not something these people were unfamiliar with. This was just routine for them now; even a throw back to their days of hunting down little sisters.

The two brutes dragged the Big Sister towards the doors leading to the lobby of Devon Genetics. Along the way what splicers weren't drugged out were cheering as they went by. "Two in one week," one splicer shouted in joy. "Teach those damn beast their place," another said. The poor teenage girl was thrashing about the best she could but it was not enough to get the two beasts to release their death grip off her arms.

The 'celebration' grew much quieter when they neared the Labs. The large metal doors stood as a sign to all that what lay beyond was nothing to be messed with. The splicers and the procession following the catch stopped and formed a circle around the door. Most were too fearful to come any closer while others tried to catch a peek inside as the metal doors swung open, but all they could see was pitch blackness. The metal doors slammed shut behind two brutes and their catch.

The laboratory was unlit, completely shrouded in darkness. Only when the doors had closed did a light come on above the two brutes and the Big Sister, still leaving the rest of the room cloaked in black.

"Got anoth'a one for 'ya boss," the brute holding the Big Sister's right arm spoke up, his voice carrying a sense of hidden fear.

"How many did we loss this time," a disembodied voice echoed through the room.

"Only four this time sir," the brute on the left replied.

"Did her guardian cause any problems?"

"No sir, she was alone, Jerry here thinks she's one of them 'Family' Big Sis's," the right brute said, motioning with his head toward the other brute.

"She is a strong one then, leave us," the voice commanded. The two brutes tossed the girl to the floor and quickly left.

The Big Sister scrambled to her feat but her injuries brought her back down to her knees. Laughter echoed through the room. She scurried across the floor back towards the door, fear running through her. This was a feeling she was not used to and it confused her. Catching movement out of the corner of her eye she searched the room for something to propel with her telekinesis and rocketed a piece of concrete towards the movement. It thuded against what sounded like tile, missing what ever she was trying to hit.

"Don't be foolish girl, it's best not to struggle," the disembodied voice grew together as a tall figure stepped forward. The man, or thing, was cloaked in a flowing dark green velvet robe. Its head was draped with a hood that obscured its face in shadow. Only a single glowing eye could be seen. "You will find peace at last," the being spoke as it stretched out it's arm towards the cowering girl before it.

Out side the door to the lab, the crowd of splicers had not dispersed yet. A few minutes after the brutes had left a loud muffled scream was heard followed by a loud thud as the metal doors shook from some impact. The splicers departed immediatly after, back to there work, knowing that soon they would get another fix of ADAM.
