Alright, letβs get right down to business: his anxiety pretty much dominates his life. It keeps him from making friends, trying new things, having confidence in himself, and pretty much just everything that he might be able to do he doesnβt do because he thinks himself into a panic. That said, that is one of Quincyβs greatest talents: overthinking. Overthinking to the point that he terrifies himself with whateverβs in front of him. A harmless little fly? No. A military drone coming to spy on him and check out his house to make sure itβs a good place to test their new nuclear bomb. Or, or, a horribly deadly insect of some sort that escaped its crate on its way to Australia that is now dead set on eating him. He would call the exterminator to bug bomb his house, but they would just laugh at him over the phone and hang up. Clearly they do not understand the danger of the situation. Cue him hiding in a cupboard armed with a spatula and his old bike helmet (complete with a face guard) for a week.
His anxiety, stuttering, awkwardness, loss of words, and dorkiness are all that people see. Though under it all heβs a really nice and actually pretty funny guy who just wants to have a few friends and live a normal life, his extreme anxiety stops him from doing anything and everyone from realizing thereβs a person beneath all of that craziness. Has a lot of self-confidence issues (clearly) and is half resigned to his fate, half still trying to fight it and find a way to be βnormalβ.

All in all, Quincy has had a pretty normal life. He lives in a two-story house with his loving and supportive parents, living like any other citizen with terribly neurotic tendencies would. Homeschooled to avoid public school, pursuing his love of science, and generally minding his own business, he didnβt bother anyone and prayed they didnβt bother him back. One day, due to wishful thinking, he entered his name for the Hopeβs Peak Academy lottery and by some miracle, he was chosen as the Ultimate Lucky Student.
