"ya, okay, sure" she snickered before setting her picture down on the table.

"Hey Kat" she said with a smile.

"Promise you wont think i'm weird?" she asked as she bit her lip and watched him.

Kat pulled out her soda and giggled at Darren. Diedre usually keeps her stuff secret, but Darren wasn't letting it go."I wouldn't tickle her if I were you." She took a sip of bloody fiz waiting to see the picture.

Darren shook his head, "Of course not, unless it's a very detailed picture of a dead bunny, then I'd think you were weird" he replied, smirking cheekily. "I wouldn't tickle her if I were you." Kat said. He turned his head around to look at her but he said nothing. He felt like muttering 'I can do whatever the hell I want, girl', but he kept it to himself. His gaze shifted back over to Deidre and he smiled, "I'm sure it'll be amazing anyway".

Diedre shook her head in exasperation. She NEVER showed her pictured off but for some reason, she couldn't resist the smile of the cute boy in front of her. He was too damn charming for his own damn good! She sighed then too a deep breath and pulled the cover off the front. It was the picture of him she had painted in black and white. She knew it was a bad idea to show him, but....he was so sweet, and attractive, and kind.....and Darren. He was her kryptonite. She had no hope of resisting his lure. She realized then she would do anything he asked, not because she was in love with him, but because he was a good person. A good soul....and you didn't find many of those in life, especially in her life.

She stood holding her breath and watching him, waiting for his reaction.

Darren's eyes widened as he saw the picture of his face. "That's me" he said in disbelief, sounding rather dumb. "You drew a picture of my face" he mumbled. He didn't consider it a bad thing, he was just rather shocked. "Well, I have to admitt that it's very good, but what inspired this drawing? I mean, I know it was me but why?". Darren needed answers, he wanted to know. 'Does she like me?' he thought, then shook his head and huffed, 'Probably not.. Then again, she wouldn't have drawn me otherwise. I supposed I'd better wait and see'.

Kat loved the picture. "It's amazing!" She saw it looked liked Darren which made it interesting. She thought this thing was third wheel. She took a sip of the bloody soda. She was getting tired of standing around, but she stuck around.

"That's me....You drew a picture of my face" He said in shock.

Diedre blushed, as much as a vampire could and started stammering apologies.

"i-i im sorry--"

"Well, I have to admits that it's very good, but what inspired this drawing? I mean, I know it was me but why?" He said taking her by surprise.

"Well....i don't know....i guess you where just on my mind...i mean, you'd make a great model....you are kinda...well attractive." She said trailing off into an embarrassed silence. She wasn't sure how to react to this situation. He liked her picture? She shook her head. Impossible.

"I- I....i have to go" She said getting flustered. She didn't even bother to grab the picture as she rushed past Kat and Darren, her eyes on the ground. Part of her was irritated with herself for letting a human make her feel the way she did, and part of her couldn't understand why she felt the way she did.

She made it to her car in no time. The little ed Chevy S-10 was a little old for her, but she had had it for so long she almost had a sentimental attachment to it.

"I should go home...." She muttered to herself but knew she wasn't going to. She would only be faced with being alone until she had to go to school the next day. That was the entirety of her existence. She sighed and turned on her music, the song Star of the Show by Fireflight playing on the radio. She smiled and started singing along pitch perfect.

You give me the love" She sang, as she sat in the parking lot, wishing she had somewhere else besides home to go. She thought for a second about finding Lucfier Marizo but then realized he was probably with his new human girl friend. She sighed and put her truck in gear.

Darren watched Deidre walk off, puzzled. "Did I say something wrong?" he asked as he turned to Kat, but he shrugged. "Nevermind, I'm going to go see what she ran off for". Darren ran throught the school, down the stairs, out the door and towards the car. He peered through the window and tapped on the glass slightly. "Deidre, can I talk to you for a second?" he asked, "What was with you running off like that? I honestly did like the picture, it was very artistic!". There was a slight hint of urgency in his tone. "Are you upset? I didn't mean to offend you in any way".

Deidre jumped and looked out the window. How the hell had he snuck up on her?! She rolled down the window and stared at him.

"No, you didnt say anything wrong...I just....i...i dont know. I'm not....used to...getting attention." She said floundering as she put her truck back into park.

Kat was so confused when they left her. She put her heaphones back on and blasted Playing God by Paramore. She went for her walk in the hallway heading towards the front of the school. She started singin the words to the song she was listening to.

She got outside and went over to her car, the black Honda Civic. She got in the car and turned on the ignition. She plugged her iphone into the speakers of the car so the music played out loud. She sang some more, put the car into reverse, backed the car out of the parking spot. She moved the gear to drive and drove off.

Darren chuckled. "Well, I can assure you that you'll be getting a hell of a lot more attention from me, that's for sure" he said, opening the car door. "Lets just say, you've peaked my curiosity. So, will you allow me to take you to lunch so that I may get to know you better?". Darren knew it was a bit soon to be inviting her out to lunch, but he felt it was appropriate. Afterall, she had done a huge picture of his face, which meant that she was either interested in him or she was a mega stalker. He didn't mind either, just as long as it benefitted him in some way.

Diedre frowned. He was asking her out? For real?

"Are you sure?" she asked as she stepped out of her truck. This was unusual. The only people she went out with were her vampire friends, and what they ate was....unconventional. She sighed. He would notice if she didnt eat.

"i have a better idea....lets go to the park" She said with a delighted smile.
