I.T.N. Kaze no Tani (風の谷)
Shokaku class Planetary Assault Carrier
Flagship of the 1st Imperial Armada
Imperial Taiyou Naval Expeditionary Force

The Ship

Thirty kilometers of Nanosteel floated with a purpose through the endless expanse of space. A singular course set through one of the larger trade routes between the Taiyou's Hyperspace gate and the capital of the Aschen Empire. The Kaze no Tani had been running political transportation for the Imperial Family for some time. The sheer size and firepower of this Taiyou carrier lent to it's intimidation and efficiency in guaranteeing the protection of the Imperial Family, be it the Crown Prince, or the Emperor himself. The Carrier was commanded by a fine crew of Twenty thousand Taiyou souls, that maintained and monitored every function of this massive ship. They maintained things such as the engines, four massive fusion-pulse generators that allowed the vessel to move through space with a surprising amount of speed. They maintained things like the ship's Catapult mechanism, which flung star fighters into space or the atmosphere, wherever the Kaze no Tani was facing combat.

The Design of the ship wasn't too terrible alien, it literally resembled a massive Aircraft carrier floating through the void of stars, several decks could be seen under it's flat top, bristling with massive deck guns, the barrels of 250cm Anti-ship cannons patrolled lazily through the ship's field of view while the ship itself sailed towards a marred blue-green planet, the planet Earth.

The Bridge

"Commandant, we're approaching Terra, Vector four seven three nine seven one eight." A young white-clad Taiyou lieutenant reported, quickly turning in his station as the massive planet came up into the ship's field of view. "We're on approach and it's advised that we land so we can resupply." The Lieutenant Helmsman continued, slender fingertips clattering on a keyboard.

The Commandant slowly nodded her head, and brushed some hair from her face, throwing it behind her shoulders as her eyes looked forward towards the planet before her. "Acknowledged Lieutenant, vector a landing and re-adjust our course.." She said, rising to her feet and staring forward. "Tashi, bring life scans on screen and show them to me, please." She ordered, a large holographic screen displayed the results of Katamura's query on the large window in front of her.

"Commandant, the planet used to bear a class three developed civilization, high-resolution scans and AI analysis determine that the planet suffered some kind of cataclysm, I'm detecting very few signs of life, I don't think the natives will have a problem with our presence. I've also calculated a course and landing vector, a waterway that's large enough for us to land and begin harvesting and resupplying operations."

The Commandant replied in a firm voice. "Very good, prepare landing operations then, vector your course and execute it." She ordered and slowly leaned back in her chair, buckling herself in as her bridge crew followed suit, and the ship slowly angled itself towards the planet.

"Commandant, We're beginning entry in five... four... three... two... one."

The ship began to shake, and the Commandant slowly watched as flames licked up at the deck of the vessel, vibrations increased slightly as she grabbed the arms of her seat, and her fingers tensed, knuckles whitening as the ship continued it's descent.

"Deploying air brakes." The Bridge crew announced, as clouds, and land began to come into view, a large lake lined up and highlighted while the ship continued it's descent.

Groundside.

Those looking upwards at the landing would see a spectacle to behold, the massive vessel cut through the skies engulfed in a blinding white light, leaving behind a massive streak of cloud and light as it descended in a controlled pattern.

A large body of water would serve as the ideal landing point for the vessel, with a deafening roar it continued it's descent, lining up with the massive lake until it crashed, or rather, controlled-crashed itself into the water, throwing up a wall of steaming splash high into the skies, followed by an audible crash as the water broke the ship's fall, an it lurched to a stop. Once the water settled, a massive Aircraft carrier could be seen sitting in the center of a large lake, floating like a monolith on a craggy landscape. The Ship was clearly human in construction, and it's national origin would be evident as a massive red and white flag unfurled above the bridge tower. The Commandant slowly unbuckled her seat as she stood up, the Bridge lieutenant inclining his head.

"We have landed successfully, Commandant."

The Deck of the ITN Kaze no Tani
Cmdt. Ayako Katamura

Staring out into the wasteland.

The massive Taiyou vessel sat like a monolith perched in the center of a massive body of water. A cool breeze greeted the Commandant's face as her and a small group of white clad Imperial officers stood silently upon the deck of the Carrier. The flat top provided an excellent vantage point, as the desolate wilderness played out before the eyes of the group.

"A strange new world, Commandant." Mentioned one of the young Lieutenants besides the woman.

"Strange world indeed, get a pair of Sudden transports prepared so we can go down to the wasteland. First objective is to make contact with intelligent life, civilization preferably. But by my intelligence, we're in a hostile world. Keep your weapons close by, we may need them." She replied, not moving to face the man or regard him.

"I can have a small contingent of Tsunami Tanks and infantry deployed by the end of the day. If we cut a path to the south, there's optimal foliage to gather materials and animal life." The Lieutenant explained, holding a map of the region in front of the Commandant. "Whatever Civilization we picked up are small and easily overpowered, Hostilities are likely, but nothing that we can't quell." The Lieutenant continued, circling several settlements in front of the Commandant.

"Very good then, Takashi. Prepare the men and proceed to the shore. I want a camp and a beachhead secured, hostile challenge any intelligent life, but do not engage them unless you're fired upon."

The Lieutenant nodded. "Aye, Commandant." Before he turned to the door, which slid open with an audible hiss.

The Commandant just stood there. "I'm surprised no one's found us, No one could miss the hole we tore in the planet's atmosphere."

ITN Kaze no Tani
Imperial Taiyou Navy 1st Imperial Armada

The Scans and interface with the AI Systems of the ITN Kaze No Tani would seem to yield firewall after firewall as the ship's Cybernetic defenses worked to try and trace the intrusion into it's systems. Of course the Commandant above deck was also immediately notified of the breach by a young lieutenant.

"Ma'am, we have an unknown intrusion into our Systems, crews put the mainframes into autistic mode to be safe. We also received a communication, we translated the communication and learned they wish to know who we are, and our intention."

Ayako offered a slight nod, before she turned to face the Lieutenant. "Let's go introduce ourselves, then." She said, before she started towards the edge of the deck towards a platform suspended on a robotic crane. Those observing the ship and those trying to communicate wouldn't receive a response of any kind, in fact, they would likely find themselves shut out of the ship's systems and unable to access them any further.

There was an audible clunk and a massive crane arm swept above both Oreron and Ember, the crane came to a sudden stop before it lowered a large platform onto the ground in front of them. They would likely be taken back with what was seen before them.

Two humans, homo sapiens, perhaps slightly smaller than the average Neko, but their features were unmistakably human.

The woman that seemed to be in charge surveyed the two for a moment, while her soldiers, each equipped with powerful Taiyou Seburo MN-32 assault rifles kept their eyes on the two, and readied themselves in the event of a fight.

The woman stepped forward, the sound of gravel crunching under her feet heard.

"Hello... I come in peace." She said, holding her hands out in a non threatening manner, her english broken and heavily accented. "I am Ayako, I come from the Taiyou Empire." She said, her speech slow and deliberate.

The Men behind her watched on, their dark green uniforms and black vests contrasting with the strange armors of this world.

Ayako extended her hand to first, Oreron, looking up at the strange being.

"Peace." She reiterated.

Oreron Hall

Oreron wasn't really sure what to think once at this human. The first human he had seen in years and not in a state of war, but ceritanly prepared for it with all the armed soliders around them. Even with them, their tech didn't seem as advanced as one would think of someone who had come from the cosmos. "I will show you peace, but there are those here who will not." He said, again his voice raspy from disuse. He was almost three meters taller than the woman, but still she didn't seem to show fear. "Your kind is not safe here and I advise caution if you are gathering resources." He spoke like he did when he was still a commander during the war. The helm opened slightly, enough to see flesh and a scar and enough for him to see them, but closed quickly once he got a good look. A low growl sounded from him, a short one but easily heard. He was hunched over, as if the armor he wore didn't allow him to stand all the way up. he looked like an upright animal from the way his armor looked rather than a neco. Not like he really cared in these times, being alone had done him well.

Katamura turned to Oreron, and Ember, and regarded them for several moments. She mentally assessed their armor. It looked like both of them were equipped with powered armor of some kind. Definitely not something her crew had advised her of. After all, she was expecting either a lifeless world, or a world that could offer little, if any resistance. "If there are those that would do me and my men harm, perhaps I should come better equipped to handle these threats." She said with a slight nod, inclining her head.

"Maybe I should invite you two on board, so you may apprise me of the threats I may face." She gestured to the ship once more, but this time, two towering behemoths were being raised onto the top deck, two King Oni mechs.

The King Onis resembled towering Samurai, their gleaming white armor glinting in the sun, and their towering form imposing upon the deck of the massive ship that carried them.

Image

The two King Oni stood watchful of their surroundings, being armed and prepared by a variety of engineers. Looks were deceiving as one of the Soldiers directly behind Katamura had been ferrying information via cybernetic implants to the ship's crew.

"Our kind is more than capable of defending ourselves should the need arise. You both look Scatterran yet something seems quite off... no matter... you've been hospitable enough... so please, come, join me." She said, backing up towards the platform and her men promptly followed suit.

She turned to Ember a moment to answer her question. "Homosapien.. that is a term I have not heard for some time... yes.. I believe that's correct, our Ancestors anyway, we're the descendants of the Homosapiens transplanted to our world by the Ancients, but that's another story for another time."

Oreron Hall

Oreron looked up at the mech, smirking to himself on the inside of his helm. Giant mechs as well, he thought to himself as he turned back to the human woman. "Only if you wish to, human." he said simply before dropping back to all fours again. The joints and the plates of armor seemed to relax from the strain of standing upright. He could only see their heat signatures, and that was all he needed right now. Well, that and food would not hurt the large neco in the least.

"You have my curiosity human. What is it what come to find on a dead world?" He asked, now seemingly watching her other men. He hadn't seen humans since the war and that was him killing them on orders of his commander when he was just a soldier. As a commander, he had advised his squad to leave their smaller cousins alone and let them live. A decision that cost him dearly mentally and physically. Scars that he did not wish to share with strangers.
