Ember Wolfe

"Cages were made for animals. So why do I feel encaged?"

a character in “Bitter Evolution”, as played by BlueWind_22

Description

Who is the survivor?
Image
Name: Ember Wolfe

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Personality: Ember is stoic, and aniti-social. Her thoughts are complex, yet simple, and utterly different than that of an average Necos. She doesn't feel pity, or sympathy for another creature, mostly due to the fact that her mentors taught her to trash her emotions or ignore them. So, basically she was trained to be stoic, and do what she was told, for she was just a soilder, or perhaps, an emotionless Neco trained to kill on command. She never rebelled, never tried, never even thought of it, but looks at things with a logical veiw. Anger was good, and so was rage, it helped her in battle, but those were her only emotions she was allowed to show or feel. She liked it. Ember has never tried to feel any of the other emotions, or even felt them before except for when she was a child. So, no one really knows her true self, no one really knows if she is stubborn and easily angered or if she is really friendly. Ember herself doesn't even know herself and what emotions she is capable of feeling.

Addition: Ember doesn't know anything about Peace.

Might? Beauty? Spirit?

Skills/jobs/gifts: Ember is an amazing Killer/Fighter. She can clear a room full of other trained Necos with ease, but other then that, she has no other skills.

Weakness/Fears: Ember hates and fears being touched by other Necos unless it's a touch meant to kill her opponent. When not in combat and told to stand down, she would probably freak out if someone tried to grab her arm or her hand. Other then being touched, she is deadly afraid of

Armour/Weapons: Ember can work with any type of weapon, but she prefers using a double edged sword and her hands if possible. Other then that, her armour is mild, enough to protect her, yet light enough for her to carry and run with. Her amour plating is white with some red markings (Just imagine the golden parts of the amour are blood red). Her helmet visor is aqua blue, and only does not allow others to see her face unless she shuts the visor off. And yes I am using a spartan picture and armour, but it does not have a shield or anything like that, it still needs to be repaired and taken well care of.
Image

Flicking through the past

History: Nothing much, but she came from a military family, and is said to have killed her brother after he murdered their parents.

Family: Her parents are deceased, but there are no records of a brother.

So begins...

Ember Wolfe

Not far away from where Aleph stood, was a shadow or at least a moving shadow. It stood in the shadow of the tree and if someone looked it's way, they would get the impression that they'd be looking right through the shadow as if it wasn't there at all, but if someone studied it and looked at it from different angles, they'd know that it was a person. A person with top of the line armour that had so many benefits. Plus, they'd see the invisible lines that marked the difference between hand and leg or head from shoulder. Other then that, Aleph would most likely NOT see the shadow, but then... A small whooshing sound filled the air, as Ember camouflage gear shut itself off revealing a person encased in smooth white metal plates with some candy apple marks on it in some areas.

Swallowing a curse, Ember did the best thing she could do to save herself from speaking the real explanation for why she was spying on him. The blue visor on her helmet disappeared showing her brown eyes watching him. Her eyes narrowed. "Stealing from the nearby village's storage houses. That's against the laws in these areas." Her voice sounded robotic and female, totally different then her real voice which helped hide her true identity a little. "Either give back the food and leave... Or..." The dangerous glint in her eyes told him that there would be no other option then to give back the food. Funny how Ember didn't real care about whether or not the village had food, only that it was her job to patrol and made sure nothing went astray. Food going missing obviously made things go down the wrong road, so she had to keep the food.

As soon as the voice came from behind him, Aleph's arms reached towards his back as he twisted around, pulling his shield and sword to either arm. A raised eyebrow appeared on his face as he glanced over the armored figure, after he had calmed down of course. In contrast to hers, Aleph's armor looked obsolete. While hers had a mixture of different fabrics along with metal pieces, his was simply made out of a lightweight metal with characteristics similar to Steel. He wondered if it was just as strong as his.

More confusing than that was her demand. It came from a cold, experienced voice, but it was nonetheless confusing to him. In fact, he glanced around again to make sure but... there was nobody else here, that he could see. The town, aside from them two (and the girl on the cliff) was vacant. So why did she care? Selfishness? He couldn't really tell, but wasn't about to just give it up if she was a scavenger. "I am unsure - is this some form of jest? Aside from you and myself, there is nobody else here, and being apprehended is the least of my worries." he spoke, his tone neutral, only lightly leaning towards a gentler one. He knew by voice alone that she wasn't just some girl making blind threats. Well, he thought he knew. There was always the chance she was a dog with no bite.

"I'm afraid that on my journies, food can be a commodity I rarely have the luxury to enjoy." he explained. "Therefore, I'm afraid that simply giving up the food to a destroyed residence for an invalid cause isn't something I'm willing to do."

Ember Wolfe

Ember said nothing her eyes, and her body language saying nothing for a few minutes letting the silence sink in. She knew that sometimes peasants and natural fighters sometimes grew nervous when there was silence, and she was good at being silent, it was almost her nature. Her thoughts quickly created a plan, quick, simple and to the point. "The war had ended. My superiors are re-creating a village nearby, and the food will be important after all the rovers are exterimnated or recruited." Her words were curt and plain, words that weren't important enough to keep a secret. It was obvious that she only gave him the basics but there were more information behind the words, information she wasn't going to give up without a fight.

"Now, give me the food." Ember's words were spoken softly, but there was steel behind them. Her clear visor quickly became aque blue as she spread her feet and went into a crouch. "And leave." The way her feet were planted, the way her shoulders were relaxed and how easy she moved with the armour showed her experience. The blood in her veins began to pump faster, as if excitement was beginning to bubble underneath her skin but it wasn't. It was stress and annoyance for not being able to fight and kill like she wanted to, instead she was here patrolling useless lands and protecting worthless people. The emotions were quicklly suppressed as Ember focused all her senses on Aleph.

During the silent minutes, Aleph was predicting the outcome of this little engagement and much to his dismay, it seemed like she was going to push the matter. Deep down inside, he felt pre-regret for the actions he might be forced to take, for he wasn't going to give up this food that he had found and rightfully claimed, and she didn't sound like she was going to let him take it. If that was the case, then a fight would surely erupt between the two, and no positive outcome would spawn from that.

He watched her face.... visor as she spoke about a possible town being built. It was nice to see that some people were claiming land together, instead of simply killing one another off, but that wasn't going to convince him to let this food go. They had the whole town to scavenge, even more of that house he had just scavenged if they have the manpower to move the rubble. All he had was about two days worth of food if he skipped lunch, or at least, what he got from there. He could last another four days before being forced without eats, but he wasn't going to let that happen. He was a survivor, after all.

Though he picked up that she wasn't elaborating as much as she could be, Aleph had no interest in the village, though he wished it well, and thusly he didn't attempt to press for more information regarding it. "I do wish this town that you're 'superiors' are making thrives and maybe even becomes the start of re-civilization, but I am sure that the small amount of food that I got is something it can do without." he began speaking, but her demand then set off alarms as she took a hostile stance. With shield in his left hand, sword in his right, Aleph held himself quite professionally. His shield arm was brought forward just a bit more, and his sword arm was at a the ready. His feet seemed stuck into the soil, as if he was a tree having been planted there. Almost like he was immovable, but one shouldn't be fooled - he could move. And quick too.

"I would wish not to resort to any violence, miss, but food is something I need, and you have this whole town to survey for edibles." he reasoned, but his face and tone turned almost cold-like. "Do not mistake my diplomacey with weakness. It might cost you your life."

(Sorry about double post, I just prefer posting characters separately, seems to make more sense as they are not conjoined and have no relevance to one and other)

Faith Alexis

Dust and rubble scattered across the landscape as what was left of a half ruined building collapsed. Faith slowly lifted her head at the sound, watching the junk shatter into another pile of wreckage. She sighed lightly, scraping her blades on the rocky ground before getting to her feet about to try and find something of interest elsewhere. However something caught her eye, making her pause for a moment and wait. It was a male dashing outside just before the whole thing fell on top of his body, supplies clutched tightly in his fists. He was a brunette, greatly muscular and coated in a thick armor covered in scratches and marks.

He was soon confronted by another stranger, also fully armoured with a robotic looking suite, looking dangerous and professional. They had seemingly appeared from nowhere what so ever. Faith crossed her arms, tilting her head slightly. This was getting interesting, it wouldn’t hurt if she just watched and stayed out of trouble would it? No not at all. She now had a excuse to stay, maybe a fight would kick off, giving her soon amount of bloody entertainment.

The blonde listened to their conversation. It seemed the robotic suited stranger was in fact a female, which made her smile a little; she liked girls who could stand up for themselves. However, Faith hated the way she tried to throw dominance over this other male, claiming she had the "authority" to act in such a manner. Law was a thing of the past, making her attitude and demands unfair. Fairness was a rule Faith liked to play by, but she would not get involved, after all the guy seemed just as much as a arrogant fool as she did. She would just be their spectator; she cared little.

Faith gracefully leapt down onto another ledge, lower and closed to the wreckage and the pair of bickering idiots. They would now be able to see her, but she didn’t see why that mattered. She was not going to interrupt, just openly watch them rip each other apart.

"Do not mistake my diplomacey with weakness. It might cost you your life."

Oh goodie...

Ember Wolfe

Ember's HUD suddenly lit up as her motion sensor picked up body temperatures that were average for a Neco nearby. She backed up thinking that this new person would side with Aleph, which was basic instinct for a lone fighter. Blond white hair. Body size almost equal to Embers. That's all that mattered to a fighter, whether or not they had armour to protect them or not. When she looked at someone, she didn't see a face, she saw the potential threat in them. "My life does not matter. Only the pointless wards I tend to." Her words were curt and fast, signs that she wouldn't have cared about her wards if she wasn't forced to.

Ember tilted her head up at Faith. "Have you come to pick the soon-to-be dead person's eyes, like an everyday crow?" Words she understood and knew, hinting and insulting that Faith would be a scavenger like a common coward would do unlike that of a warrior.

For a moment, Aleph was confused at the rather contradictory sentence she had spouted from behind her mask. Her life wasn't important, but pointless wards were? He wasn't sure what this woman's mental state was, but it probably wasn't sound or so he'd think if she had put enthusiasm into her words. She didn't seem like she even wanted to worry about them, let alone die for them, so why was she? He was a bit offput.

However, if she attacked him, he would strike her down. Of course, he'd regret doing so, as hurting or killing a woman was not something he enjoyed, but something he'd wish to avoid at nearly all costs. She looked more than capable of handling her own, so she wasn't defensless - something that might've swayed him into giving her the food had she pulled an act on him. Unfortunately, it was too late for that.

Aleph didn't turn as Ember addressed the woman behind him, though he did keep an ear out for any sudden steps that would give away an attack from behind. He didn't know if this new person was hostile or not, but he did know that Ember was fitting that description, and thus she needed to be delt with first. He may have overestimated her abilities and tact when she began spouting taunts at the newcomer. Unless she was like himself, that just proved she was willing to get into a fight with two people, and that she wanted to try her hand. Inevitably, that would lead to a swift death at his hands, but he wanted none of that. An unfair battle was not something he'd participate in willingly.

"Maiden, your quarrel is with me and me alone." he said to Ember, grabbing at her attention. "Had we been already engaged in a duel, that one moment of boasterous talk would've cost you your life right then and there." he stated confidently. "And speaking illy of others when you hide behind a helmet doesn't do you good anyways."

Ember Wolfe

"-others when you hide behind a helmet doesn't do you good anyways." Ember didn't move, didn't even flinch but inside her head, she was reeling from the words so familiar and chilling that she slowly moved back into a neutral stance, neither offensive or defensive. Her body was moving but she didn't seem to remember commanding it do so, nor did she realize that she was reliving the horried nightmare.

"You hide behind your helmet and amour, but it will do you no good in the end, sister." The voice, cutting through the thick silence like a knife slicing through butter. Her fingers, cold from the water and the snow, also slippery with her blood gripped the pistol in her hand. Her right hand leading up to her neck was bare, the smooth metal plates that had once encased that limb was across the room. The metal was mangled and broken, utterly useless to try and use it as a shield of some sort. Ember's helmet was still on and so was the rest of her armour, but it wouldn't take long for her brother, an accomplished killer and strategist to rip her to shreds. Fear flooded her senses and gripping the gun in her hand she made a dash for another hiding spot. "Got you!" Pain stabbed her as she felt the blades dig into her ungaurded shoulder. They buried themselves deeper just as hands gripped the lock on her helmet and yanked it off.

Ember savagely pulled herself out of the memory, focusing on the present, not the past. Letting out a shudder, something not visible from outside her amour, she glanced up Faith. She knew the woman probably just wanted to watch them tear each other to shreds. Ember would not give her the satisfation, and neither would she bother killing Aleph for the worthless food that wasn't to go to her. "Keep the food for all I care." She spat the words out before turning and turning her camoflauge device on.

Ember's helmet and shoulders disappeared first, or for a better idea they quickly blended in with her surroundings, making it look like just her torso on down was walking on it's own until the rest of her too disappeared. Practically invisible, she silently ran... away to wherever she could stop and think. No, not think. To forget these stupid human thoughts.

O...kay?

Change of Heart? Stunning realization that taking those drugs earlier was a bad idea? Bathroom break?

He was sure, but Aleph was damn well confused at this turn of events. Now she finally decides to stop being aggressive? What made her change her mind? Again, Aleph was at a loss here, but he might as well be thankful that there was no battle anymore.... even if he was getting that itch. He watched as the female in armor walked away, becoming decapitated by her own device before the rest of her body. It looked kinda weird, truth be told. But now she was gone, and Banton could live for another few days with the food he had obtained.

Oh yeah.

He turned around, now facing the spectator of that would-be match. She wore armor as well, but no helmet that covered up her face. Thankfully, because Aleph almost mistook her for an angel. Well, she was beautiful enough to play the part. Almost like a bright light in the middle of the darkness - she did not look like she should be in this dump they called Earth. Aleph's expression dropped from being one of defensiveness to one of warmness. The other girl would've been gifted with this same sight if she didn't try to start something.

"Hello there." he said. It was a bit awkward after what just happened. "You aren't here to threaten me as well, I hope."

The feud between the others had finally calmed down, the girl in heavy armor disappeared and began to stride away, giving Jennifer a good window to announce her presence. She whistled, the noise cutting through the air shrilly, and stepped out of the shadows. She scanned the three people before her, then gestured to the injury on the man's leg, staring straight at each one in turn. She took a deep breath and bowed her head slightly, hoping she looked submissive enough that they wouldn't outright attack them. Though she was sure she could easily protect herself and escape, it would mean leaving behind the injured one, which didn't sit well with her.

Taking a deep breath, she tightened her grip around the boy's shoulders reassuringly and opened her mouth to speak. "He needs help," she said, her voice hoarse, as she'd had no need to speak in many weeks, "and I can't give it to him." She shifted slightly, propping her hip out to the side so she could quicker grab her pistol if need should so arise. "He's gonna lose this leg if he doesn't get some help. Is there anything any of you can do?"

(Edited like 50000 times -.-)

Faith Alexis

"Have you come to pick the soon-to-be dead person's eyes, like an everyday crow?"

Faith snarled coldly at the suited females comment, glaring at her with sharp disapproving pupils. "Jumping into a battle without a reason is a foolish and pointless action. So yes, I guess I am your so called "Crow" but it seems I have more braincells then the Panther..." The blonde hissed in a blunt tone at the stranger. Faith was unsure why she compared this woman to a Panther, it seemed more like a hushed compliment than a insult, but it simply rolled from her tongue. Panthers were beautiful and spiritual creatures. Of course the rest of her sentence was pretty insulting enough. Maybe she described her as the feline due to her clear strength and tendency to lurk in the shadows out of sight...

A small thin smile grew on her lips as the man told his opponent that unfair battles were something he would refuse to fight in. It seemed he had a excellent stable mind, which could not be said as the same for the woman. Now Faith was not backing anyone, but she instantly hated the female stranger with a large amount of passion. She had placed herself in her bad books with her first comment, her thoughts on the brunette male was yet to be decided.

The female then looked up at her, still and cold, empty? She looked empty, as though behind that metal suite there was nothing there. However, she then proved faith wrong as she removed her armour. Behind it a woman, around the same age as herself, brunette with dark eyes. Pretty, Faith hated admitting. Then...She left...

How very odd...

Faith could not help but admit she was disappointed with the lack of bloodshed, but the conversation had been interesting enough. The remaining stranger then lifted his face, eyes turning warm and pleasant. Her stomached rolled inside her, though she was unsure whether it was for good or bad reasons, either way she showed no change in expression to prove such a feeling rocketing through her. "I need a reason, and at the moment I don’t have one, so I guess you’re safe for now..."

The woman leapt gracefully from the cliff, landing perfectly beside the man before recoiling a few steps just in case his merciful and kind expression was fake. She said nothing, just examined him silently.

It seemed that today was a busy day. A black haired girl appeared, showing submission and supporting a wounded male. "I see..." Faith whispered. Stepping towards the pair with easy slow footsteps. She could have slit both their necks with her arm blades right there, but she didn’t. The wounded and weak had a soft spot for Faith for some reason or another. The blonde looked at the males somewhat lanky body and soft baby expression and laughed lightly. "Bless..." She smiled tilting her head, speaking as though he was some kind of child. Despite her comments sure enough, she slid her hand into a small package bag around her waist and pulled out a metal tub of healing ointment. "There’s not a lot left...but it should help somewhat..." She said handing it to the blue eyed girl, locking pupils with her for a moment. Merciful beings were people Faith admired greatly.

(Little pointless post. But whatever. I'm bored out of my brains so I have nothing to lose!)

Ace Tyrant

Ace was rather surprised by the girl's submissive actions, she didn’t seem to have a weak spirit and so he came to the conclusion she was thinking logical with her actions. He also bowed his head after she did, managing a brief smile at the group of them, all three looking to be rather deadly people. He had learnt that some beings were merciful towards him just because of how pathetic he was. He closed his eyes and begged that these strangers felt pity for him, more for the blue eyed woman’s sake than his own.

With a odd low rumble from the woman supporting him, she asked for help. And sure enough the pair were approached by a blonde youth with blades strapped to each of her arms. For a while, she did nothing and silence was the only thing that greeted him. Ace slid his hand to his side, briefly touching finger tips with the black haired female for a second as though he wanted to grab her hand. But he stopped. "Bless..." Ace could not help but role his eyes in a disapproving manner, however he was grateful for the small amount of help she offered and eyed at the curious little package thoughtfully. "Thank you..."

Ember Wolfe

Ember licked her lips, trying to figure out why she was afraid, and how she could banish the terrible memories that kept popping up. Her helmet and armour were still on, and her sword and everything were still intact. There was no reason for her to be afraid, and it was... not good to be afraid, because how could she do her job if she was worrying and fearing about something not related to her job. Grinding her teeth helped as she slowly to a stop near a cliff. Ember let out a sigh and tore her helmet off, letting it drop to the ground and leaning on a tree for some support. Her breathing was normal, not little wuick breathes but evenly. There was nothing wrong with her. Nothing to fear. "Stop it." She whispered out loud to herself gripping the tree with a death grip. A creak filled the air, and then the tree began to groan an sway with the wind as if it didn't have the strength to stand agaisnt it anymore.

Ember let go of the tree and groaning sounds stopped. She looked up at the oak and an idea popped up in her head. Lifting her arm, she clenched her hand into a fist and in seconds she was hitting the tree, her ideas slowly being drowned out by the need to move and fight. A red haze began to settle at the edges of her vision, slowly growing and consuming her sight. Suddenly everything in her gaze became an enemy, and enemy she so badly wanted to kill and hurt.

Darius James

Darius was on his rounds, patrolling the territory his superiors dubbed vital to their re-construction. A loud crack filled the air and his attention was focusing on it's location. When he got there he was suprised and yet... not suprised to find Ember standing at the base of a fallen tree. He raised an eyebrow but stopped when he saw the way she stood and looked at the other trees. Rage. Blood lust. Two keys that were a deadly combination for a skilled warrior dead center in battle. He stood still for a moment before he spoke out trying to bring her out of her rage. "I don't think that tree did anything to you, but in case it did, I'm guessing it was a stupid tree."

Ember lifted her gaze and then Darius saw the rage and bloodlist recede enough for him to see the intelligent and stoic mask that slid into place on her face. "What do you want beside to wage vocal battles with me?" Darius chuckled before walking up to the metal encased woman and punching her shoulder lightly, being careful not to bruise his fist. His friend's instincts were quick and fast as she slipped around him and held him in a head lock. He knew this was as close to mock fighting as he'll ever get to with Ember. The girl barely even took a break practicing and fighting all the time, hardly ever messing around.

Darius tried to break from her grip but knowing it'd be useless while she was wearing her armour. He knew the armour intensified her strength and speed, meaning that she would be twice as fast and twice as strong as an average Neco. "Okay, metal head. You can let me go now!" He spat out at her before being thrown a few feet away from his friend. Groaning, he crawled to his knees and glared up at Ember, knowing his look wasn't serious. "Before you chew my head off for trying to start a casual conversation-" "Casual conversation? Doesn't that consist of actually talking and not trying to trade blows with another?" He shut up and dusted himself off. "Forget it. Can we just go and get back to doing our jobs?" A look crossed over Ember's face, that suddenly made him hesitate. "Are you ok-" Again, he was interrupted. "I'm fine!"

Darius held back the concerned look and words had he actually tried to speak out. He shurgged and started heading back to the village.

Aleph beamed an inviting smile as she leaped from her perch above him. As she wasn't apparently hostile, he had no reason to be, and so his expression was much more welcoming than the woman who almost made the fatal mistake of engaging in a duel with him. Though it didn't look like it, Banton's eyes would remain glued onto her for observational purposes more than to behold her angelic-warrior beauty, for he was still cautious. It didn't take a genius to tell that in battle, this woman would probably rely moreso on speed that brute force. Then again, her observations about him wouldn't be any more difficult to asses either. Well, there was the offchance that she was pretty strong, just like there was the offchance that he was quicker than he looked. He only knew of one of those being truth.

However, before any real interaction between the two could be made, another two persons appeared, a injured man and a woman. Obviously the man was in need of medical help and though it'd mean he'd have to use up some of his own resources, Aleph would've offered up his medical supplies. The Angel-Warrior, as was her name until the real one was revealed to him, stepped in first and began treating the man. From behind her, Aleph smiled more warmly than before, for she was not some cold being, even if her tone would give that impression at first.

Aleph stepped forward, now right behind Angel-Warrior. "If there is not enough to treat him, I am willing to part with whatever you may require in order to effectively tend to him." he stated while pulling his left hand back behind him and leaving the shield on his back. Forgive him for still being somewhat defensive to strangers, but he wouldn't put his blade away just yet.

Darius James

Darius was in front of the small messed up little building, his back to Ember, somehow thinking that giving her the cold shoulder would actually make her feel remorse or some kind of guilt for being... unreasonably aggressive with him. He smirked at the thought of how Ember would have fared if she wasn't in her armour. "Hey, maybe we should do some practi-" His words were again cut off by another snarl commanding him to shut up, an irritated look coming across his face as he turned, ready to hurl some really nasty words at his friend, but froze when he turned to see... Nothing. Ember had gone. Her helmet and herself include, gone. He didn't know where, but the hair on the back of his neck was itching. A cold sensation slid down his back, instincts telling him that something was wrong.

Darius let his hands instictively rest on Rachel and Stacy, his favorite guns that rarely ever missed their targets. His hands clenched and unclenched before he started to slowly move into a positive to where his back was against the wall. He inhaled and exhaled, measuring his breath and focusing on his surroundings.

Ember Wolfe

Ember's HUD had lit up pinpointing some dots on her motions sensor. To most, these 'dots' would just be dots, but Ember knew they were other Neco's and she knew that if she couldn't see them, then they were enemies. Not really caring, she had snarled at Darius to shut up, and quickly switched her armour's camaflauge on, instantly becoming 'invisible' and silently moving into the shadows while putting her helmet on. Not knowing if these camaflauged people had any motion sensors or heat sensors she cooled her armour down so her body heat wouldn't show up on their monitors.

Ember watched Darius from a few yards away, a 22. pistol that had been hidden in a compartment that wrapped around her right thigh had found it's way into her hands. A .22 pistol probably wouldn't be dubbed dangerous in the eyes of... An inexperienced person but a battle worthy person would know it to be dangerous in the hands of an expert marksmen.

Other then freezing into a crouch, her instincts were going haywire. Her brain was telling her to calm down and focus on her invisible opponents, but her instincts were raging for blood and the feel of blood on her hands. She licked her lips and began to study the movements of the dots on her motion sensor.

"John we have to get back to New Hope, not make more trouble for ourselves" Laurens voiced buzzed over the comm link "That guy has active camouflage, he obviously isn't some lowly human he can take out. We Don't need to bring this kind of trouble to New Hope."

John ignored her as he activated his monocle and HUD information began scrolling over his right eye. He switched it to Electronic Emission Detection mode and the world turned a burning blew in his right eye. He scanned the area for the armored figure, "Come on Captain, could you imagine bringing that guy back to New Hope? Have you ever seen armor like that? We could be famous, open a new technological age for New Hope!" New technology wasn't John's motivation, he was just excited to find more Neco's. Maybe they had their own society, one that was more tolerant then New Hope. How Naive he was.

John kept searching until a light blue silhouette of the invisible armored person appeared in his monocle, There he was. "I see him." John spoke into the comm link "I'm going to show myself."

"No you're not, that's an order!" Lauren commanded "I have a bad feeling about this"

John ignored her and started moving towards the figure and was about to deactivate his camo when the figure made a violent flirt of movement towards him. As fast as lightning he was pushed to the ground by Lauren as she littered the figures position with 7.62 rounds from her AK-47.

Ember Wolfe

Ember heart stuttered when the figures became one on her motion sensor and then... The sound of 7.62 rounds filled the air. Ember lunged left and she found herself sprinting toward the figures on the ground. In four strides she found herself behind Lauren and her hands were on lauran's shoulder and neck. She straightened and pulled the woman to her chest locking her in an umbreakable hold. Backing away, she spoke to Darius use the comm link and told him to meet her at her current location. Ember's armour glinted and flashed softly, highlighting the beauty and deadly grace of it. With the armour, she was practically unstoppable due to it's material and motive. Grinning to herself, knowing that they probably didn't know, she spoke to John using the concealing voice this. She forgot it's name, but it basically made her voice sound different, the same tactic she used with Aleph. "Friend or foe?"

Darius James

Darius replied to Ember's command by finding her on his locator. Efficient and quick, he made his way to his friend and stopped. In his friend's hand was a mildly armour woman, and a man - no a boy on the ground. He studied their armour and quickly identified them as friendlies, er, lower ranking friendlies. He turned to Ember and smirked, "Oh, so you just happen to find some of our allies and just... What? Decide to, oh, I don't know. Hold them up? Relax." He watched as Ember hesitantly let go of lauran and shove her away. He hid a smile by coughing and looking away from the scene.

Ember Wolfe

Ember wanted to glare at Darius for secretly laughing, but she knew it wouldn't matter because of her helmet. Using the data compartment located at the back of helmet skull, she used the face scanner and identified John and his companion. After that, she backed up and took her helmet off and stared down at John. A stoic look came across her face masking her ideas and thoughts of this man. "I'm Darius James, and this is Ember Wolfe." Before she could say something insulting, Darius spoke. Irritation flooded her veins at the thought of having to spend many more years with her partner. Ember glared at Darius and instead of talking, she didn't move or talk.

John looked at the two beings before him. Who were they? She took the captain like she was nothing...John scrambled to his feet and looked at the two with frightened eyes, "Who are you?" he asked as Lauren got to her feet coughing hard. She got up next to John and while she was still facing away she secretly primed her armor self destruct protocol, just in case. She took a fighting stance and drew her pistol and drew a beat on Ember Wolfe, she didn't trust John to do what needed to be done.

Ember Wolfe

Ember glanced at Lauran, "Your armour must be out of date. Your armour's system was already bugged by my armour, and if ordered to, I can turn your self destruct mode off." She didn't make any faces, didn't do anything other then cross her arms and look away as if disgusted by them. She knew that her superiors had made a pact with the New Hope people, and that they shared secret and vital information, but it was even more... odd to find that none of New Hope's high ranking officers knew nothing about the new armour. Unless, her people were thinking of corruption and betrayal. Her line of thought became fuzzy at the though of disobeying a pact and forcing yourself to be indifferent to your betrayed ally's needs. Apparently, today was full of suprises. She had been afraid, but now she was angry and... Something else that she couldn't name.

Ember glanced at Darius and saw the way he looked up at the sky. Something he always did when his thoughts were busy. He must be thinking about the same way because he pulled out the needle guns. As he pulled the case off his back, he spoke to John and Lauran. "Anyways, from the looks of it and knowing we're not close to home base. I think we might have to get-" He grunted as he forced the needles into the gun. "-a little more scientific." He paused as if reciting the words he just said. Ember sent a silent glare at Darius, suddenly angry at the man for interrupting the fight. If he hadn't interrupted then Lauran would have already been killed and John would have been a prisoner. Something she had actually looked forward to, finally finding something to kill.

Darius lifted the gun toward, expecting her to take it and shoot John and Lauran with it. The needles were dipped into a serum that actually made people forget the last 24 hours. It also forced the subject into a heavy sleep that lasted about three to four hours. She looked at the gun then at John before cocking her and actually looking at them like they were people. Her thoughts began to betray her.

BANG!
as soon as saw the gun come out Lauren fired a single bullet into Darius. She wasn't sure if it hit anything Vital, but it would stop him for now. "Get out of here John!" She screamed as she fired multiple rounds at Ember Wolfe all of them barley, if at all, penetrating the armor. She charged and tackled the armored figure as John activated his Camo and retreated...hell he ran away...ran away and left his friend too her fate...
