Description

Who is the survivor?
Name: Johnathan Hilbert
Image
Age: 21

Gender: Male

Personality:
John is a quiet and reserved individual who is interested in security and peaceful living. He has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which lends him a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. Organized and methodical in his approach, he can generally succeed at any task he undertakes.
John is very loyal, faithful, and dependable. He places great importance on honesty and integrity. He is considered a "good citizen" who can be depended on to do the right thing for his family and his community. While he generally takes things very seriously, he also has an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun - especially at family or work-related gatherings.
John tends to believe in laws and traditions, and he expects the same from others. He is not comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules. If he is able to see a good reason for stepping outside of the established mode of doing things, John will support that effort. However, John more often tends to believe that things should be done according to procedures and plans.
John is extremely dependable on following through with things which he has promised. For this reason, he sometimes receives extra work in addition to what he is already required to complete. Because John has such a strong sense of duty, he may have a difficult time saying "no" when he is given more work than he can reasonably handle. For this reason, John often works long hours, and may be unwittingly taken advantage of.
John will work for long periods of time and put tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which he sees as important to fulfilling a goal. However, he will resist putting energy into things which don't make sense to him, or for which he can't see a practical application. He prefers to work alone, but, if necessary works well in teams. He likes to be accountable for his actions, and enjoys being in positions of authority. John has little use for theory or abstract thinking, unless the practical application is clear.
John is not naturally in tune with his own feelings and the feelings of others. He may have difficulty picking up on emotional needs immediately. Being a perfectionist he has a tendency to take other people's efforts for granted, like he takes his own efforts for granted. He needs to remember to pat people on the back once in a while.
John is uncomfortable expressing affection and emotion to others. However, his strong sense of duty and the ability to see what needs to be done in any situation usually allows him to overcome his natural reservations, and he is usually a quite supporting and caring individual. Once John realizes the emotional needs of those who are close to him, he puts forth effort to meet those needs.
John cares deeply about those close to him, although he usually is not comfortable with expressing his love. He is likely to express their affection through actions, rather than through words.
John has an excellent ability to take any task and define it, organize it, plan it, and implement it through to completion. He is a very hard worker and he does not allow obstacles to get in the way of performing his duties. He does not usually give himself enough credit for his achievement, seeing his accomplishments simply as the natural fulfillment of his obligations.
Under stress, John may fall into "catastrophe mode", where he sees nothing but all of the possibilities of what could go wrong. He will berate himself for things which he should have or could have done differently, or duties which he failed to perform. He will lose his ability to see things calmly and reasonably, and will depress himself with his visions of doom.

Might? Beauty? Spirit?

Skills/jobs/gifts: He has been given advanced training in a mix of pre-war military trainings from multiple countries including the United States, Russia, Israel and China. He can easily take control of a situation and bring about order, is an excellent commander . he has a gift for sussing out an individuals strongest talent.

Weakness/Fears: During missions he can hesitate to pull the trigger on a human and put himself in immediate danger. Like almost all Necos he has almost no physical weakness. he has a difficult time showing emotion.

Armour/Weapons:
sub machine gun.

Within the armor there is a technology of micro mirrors that cover ever centimeter of the wearers body. When activated this mirrors reflect all of the light around them and turn the user almost completely invisible. In an average temperature environment the invisibility can run for hours, in cool environments days. But in temperatures over 90 degrees Fahrenheit it will last only short periods of time (half hour to an hour) due to the amount of heat absorbed by the mirco mirrors.

Flicking through the past

History: John was born into a community of NecoSapiens called "New Hope", this establishment is run by a council who hate humans and are trying to build an Empire that spans the globe and is completely cleansed of the "Homosapien virus". In this society there is a mandatory period of six years in the military for men, and four years for women. From the age of eighteen he received military training and was given a rank in the Hunter Killer special tasks group for his keen intellect. He has served for four years and been on multiple campaigns against human settlements and refugees. These missions were ones of genocide and have made John question the morality of the world and the cause of which he fights. After his 21st birthday he defected from the HK special task force unable to find reason in the senseless killing of the remaining humans, and appalled by the treatment of prisoners in the settlement. His father has disowned him, but his mother secretly keeps track of his whereabouts in hopes that one day he would return.

Family: His father is a colonel in the "War Machine" the military force of the New Hope settlement. His mother is the director of intellagnce for the War Machine and runs Intel gathering operations throughout the wastelands.

So begins...

JOHNATHAN
"Dirty little runt, how your species survived the war is beyond me." Gregor said as took his blade and peeled the skin off the homeosapiens cheek, making him scream out in terrible agony

"Please...If you have any mercy....let me die." the human pleaded in a small voice, barely able to be heard

"You will die...when I grow tired of your screams." It was horrific. John could barely look at the scene taking place before him, it was barbaric...

"Gregor, don't you think that is enough?" Johnathan said pleadingly

"Your are too soft John, these filthy beings deserve only death and suffering." Gregor hissed as he put a foot on the homosapiens chest and pressed down hard "You were once said to be nothing more then legends and stories...will we make sure you end up that way Homosapien." As he pushed his foot harder into the man he screamed out in pain, his ribs begging to crack. The team of four Hunter Killers had come in and quickly neutralized the humans without much of anything besides a few silent rounds. Why Gregor felt the need to torture the Human was beyond him.

"Gregor that's enough just stop it, let him die!" John snapped. Gregor grinned as he took his foot off the human and looked John right in the eye

"You want the pain to end? Kill him yourself or leave me alone." He grinned mockingly at John who walked over to the Human lying in pain on the ground. Why couldn't they all be dead like the stories said? The man looked in so much agony with his bloodies body, and face along with his broken bones. John lifted his SMG and and he began to shake. "I'm sorry." John murmured under his breath as he squeezed the trigger and put four round into the mans chest. He died as his heart exploded from a direct hit.

Gregor walked over and shook his head, "Sorry? Pathetic, how the General had a son like you is beyond me." Gregor hissed.

"Ah, leave him alone Gregor he is still young." A beautiful women's voice rang out as a tall Burnett walked out into the room

"I have seen homosapiens with more bravery then him." Gregor replied

"Like I said he is young. Lets go, Charles is already on their way back." the women said

As the three made their way back John stayed a few yards behind them, not wanting to get caught up in their war stories of killing off Homosapiens. It was sick, that they enjoyed killing these small settlements. Most were so hidden away John was mesmerized that the War Machine was able to find them at all. As they walked past a ridge and below it was a town, covered in destruction and rubble. John decided to take a closer look and brought down the telescope from his helmet, that's when he saw a armored person, speaking with some man in front of a building. He had never seen armor like it before, it was magnificent really.

"John what the hell is the hold up!" Gregor shouted back to him

"There are some people down there."

"So, who gives a shit lets get going." Gregor complained

John wanted to see what was going on, it would take him a few minutes to get down there but he was interested. "Come on, it may be something important." John said as he opened the computer on his gauntlet and activated the micro mirrors on his armor, turning him nearly invisible except for a light mirage like silhouette of his body. He then began on his way down the hill.

"Damn it get back here you idiot." Gregor growled

"You go catch up with Charles and get back to New Hope, I'll go after him." the women, whose name was Lauren, said as she activated her camouflage and ran after John.

Darius James

Darius was in front of the small messed up little building, his back to Ember, somehow thinking that giving her the cold shoulder would actually make her feel remorse or some kind of guilt for being... unreasonably aggressive with him. He smirked at the thought of how Ember would have fared if she wasn't in her armour. "Hey, maybe we should do some practi-" His words were again cut off by another snarl commanding him to shut up, an irritated look coming across his face as he turned, ready to hurl some really nasty words at his friend, but froze when he turned to see... Nothing. Ember had gone. Her helmet and herself include, gone. He didn't know where, but the hair on the back of his neck was itching. A cold sensation slid down his back, instincts telling him that something was wrong.

Darius let his hands instictively rest on Rachel and Stacy, his favorite guns that rarely ever missed their targets. His hands clenched and unclenched before he started to slowly move into a positive to where his back was against the wall. He inhaled and exhaled, measuring his breath and focusing on his surroundings.

Ember Wolfe

Ember's HUD had lit up pinpointing some dots on her motions sensor. To most, these 'dots' would just be dots, but Ember knew they were other Neco's and she knew that if she couldn't see them, then they were enemies. Not really caring, she had snarled at Darius to shut up, and quickly switched her armour's camaflauge on, instantly becoming 'invisible' and silently moving into the shadows while putting her helmet on. Not knowing if these camaflauged people had any motion sensors or heat sensors she cooled her armour down so her body heat wouldn't show up on their monitors.

Ember watched Darius from a few yards away, a 22. pistol that had been hidden in a compartment that wrapped around her right thigh had found it's way into her hands. A .22 pistol probably wouldn't be dubbed dangerous in the eyes of... An inexperienced person but a battle worthy person would know it to be dangerous in the hands of an expert marksmen.

Other then freezing into a crouch, her instincts were going haywire. Her brain was telling her to calm down and focus on her invisible opponents, but her instincts were raging for blood and the feel of blood on her hands. She licked her lips and began to study the movements of the dots on her motion sensor.

"John we have to get back to New Hope, not make more trouble for ourselves" Laurens voiced buzzed over the comm link "That guy has active camouflage, he obviously isn't some lowly human he can take out. We Don't need to bring this kind of trouble to New Hope."

John ignored her as he activated his monocle and HUD information began scrolling over his right eye. He switched it to Electronic Emission Detection mode and the world turned a burning blew in his right eye. He scanned the area for the armored figure, "Come on Captain, could you imagine bringing that guy back to New Hope? Have you ever seen armor like that? We could be famous, open a new technological age for New Hope!" New technology wasn't John's motivation, he was just excited to find more Neco's. Maybe they had their own society, one that was more tolerant then New Hope. How Naive he was.

John kept searching until a light blue silhouette of the invisible armored person appeared in his monocle, There he was. "I see him." John spoke into the comm link "I'm going to show myself."

"No you're not, that's an order!" Lauren commanded "I have a bad feeling about this"

John ignored her and started moving towards the figure and was about to deactivate his camo when the figure made a violent flirt of movement towards him. As fast as lightning he was pushed to the ground by Lauren as she littered the figures position with 7.62 rounds from her AK-47.

Ember Wolfe

Ember heart stuttered when the figures became one on her motion sensor and then... The sound of 7.62 rounds filled the air. Ember lunged left and she found herself sprinting toward the figures on the ground. In four strides she found herself behind Lauren and her hands were on lauran's shoulder and neck. She straightened and pulled the woman to her chest locking her in an umbreakable hold. Backing away, she spoke to Darius use the comm link and told him to meet her at her current location. Ember's armour glinted and flashed softly, highlighting the beauty and deadly grace of it. With the armour, she was practically unstoppable due to it's material and motive. Grinning to herself, knowing that they probably didn't know, she spoke to John using the concealing voice this. She forgot it's name, but it basically made her voice sound different, the same tactic she used with Aleph. "Friend or foe?"

Darius James

Darius replied to Ember's command by finding her on his locator. Efficient and quick, he made his way to his friend and stopped. In his friend's hand was a mildly armour woman, and a man - no a boy on the ground. He studied their armour and quickly identified them as friendlies, er, lower ranking friendlies. He turned to Ember and smirked, "Oh, so you just happen to find some of our allies and just... What? Decide to, oh, I don't know. Hold them up? Relax." He watched as Ember hesitantly let go of lauran and shove her away. He hid a smile by coughing and looking away from the scene.

Ember Wolfe

Ember wanted to glare at Darius for secretly laughing, but she knew it wouldn't matter because of her helmet. Using the data compartment located at the back of helmet skull, she used the face scanner and identified John and his companion. After that, she backed up and took her helmet off and stared down at John. A stoic look came across her face masking her ideas and thoughts of this man. "I'm Darius James, and this is Ember Wolfe." Before she could say something insulting, Darius spoke. Irritation flooded her veins at the thought of having to spend many more years with her partner. Ember glared at Darius and instead of talking, she didn't move or talk.

John looked at the two beings before him. Who were they? She took the captain like she was nothing...John scrambled to his feet and looked at the two with frightened eyes, "Who are you?" he asked as Lauren got to her feet coughing hard. She got up next to John and while she was still facing away she secretly primed her armor self destruct protocol, just in case. She took a fighting stance and drew her pistol and drew a beat on Ember Wolfe, she didn't trust John to do what needed to be done.

Ember Wolfe

Ember glanced at Lauran, "Your armour must be out of date. Your armour's system was already bugged by my armour, and if ordered to, I can turn your self destruct mode off." She didn't make any faces, didn't do anything other then cross her arms and look away as if disgusted by them. She knew that her superiors had made a pact with the New Hope people, and that they shared secret and vital information, but it was even more... odd to find that none of New Hope's high ranking officers knew nothing about the new armour. Unless, her people were thinking of corruption and betrayal. Her line of thought became fuzzy at the though of disobeying a pact and forcing yourself to be indifferent to your betrayed ally's needs. Apparently, today was full of suprises. She had been afraid, but now she was angry and... Something else that she couldn't name.

Ember glanced at Darius and saw the way he looked up at the sky. Something he always did when his thoughts were busy. He must be thinking about the same way because he pulled out the needle guns. As he pulled the case off his back, he spoke to John and Lauran. "Anyways, from the looks of it and knowing we're not close to home base. I think we might have to get-" He grunted as he forced the needles into the gun. "-a little more scientific." He paused as if reciting the words he just said. Ember sent a silent glare at Darius, suddenly angry at the man for interrupting the fight. If he hadn't interrupted then Lauran would have already been killed and John would have been a prisoner. Something she had actually looked forward to, finally finding something to kill.

Darius lifted the gun toward, expecting her to take it and shoot John and Lauran with it. The needles were dipped into a serum that actually made people forget the last 24 hours. It also forced the subject into a heavy sleep that lasted about three to four hours. She looked at the gun then at John before cocking her and actually looking at them like they were people. Her thoughts began to betray her.

BANG!
as soon as saw the gun come out Lauren fired a single bullet into Darius. She wasn't sure if it hit anything Vital, but it would stop him for now. "Get out of here John!" She screamed as she fired multiple rounds at Ember Wolfe all of them barley, if at all, penetrating the armor. She charged and tackled the armored figure as John activated his Camo and retreated...hell he ran away...ran away and left his friend too her fate...

Ember Wolfe

Ember didn't know if Darius was okay, but instead of asking qustions she did what she did best. Kill. When Lauran tried to tackle her, she only took two backward steps, her armour weighed alot and add that to her own weight. It was would take alot to overturn her, but right now, she was focused on her opponent. She let the frenzied instincts and blood lust take over.

Ember's hand quickly found their way to Lauren's neck. One cupping the right side of her jaw, and the other at where the jaw meets the jugular. She twisted and heard a loud crack. Her opponent went limp and she let go of the body. She dropped her helmet. Her mind was buzzing with excitement, something near joy burst inside her at the thought of having prey to hunt now. Instead of going to Darius's side, she went after John. Her blood pumped, and the muscles in her legs were fully alive, pumping hard enough to get her within sight of John. She wanted to run faster, tackle John, and maybe even let him run some more to prolong the inevitable end of the hunt.

Ember chastised herself mentally, remembering her joy and self-indulgence meant nothing. What mattered was her quarry. She quicked her strides and put her armour on overload. Her speed went out of the roof and she was tackling John to the ground. She spat at the groud as she stood up and pulled John to her chest and locked him in another unbreakable hold.

Darius

Darius had threw himself out of the line of fire but had been too slow. The bullet had grazed his shoulder and now he was running and getting his blood to flow. What a great way to travel, he thought as he tightened the bandage he wrapped around it and pushed onward. His breathing was labored but pure will was all that was keeping him going. But when he got there he had started to laugh. "Should've known you'd get him before I got here. Oh, my god." He hissed as Ember came foward with their prisoner. The needle gun had been left behind along with helmet, two things he had tied to the back of the small back pack on his back. He didn't want to kill the prisoner for reminding him of who and what he really was. A traitor. Liar. Back stabber.

Now he remembered, he wanted to do something. He needed to full fill his mission. So, he pulled out Rachel and Stacy... And pointed them at Ember. She stopped and looked him in the face. "What are you doing Darius?" Her voice held qustions he wasn't ever going to answer. So he replied, "I'm doing my job." He aimed them to where her armour didn't protect much. Her waist and the black skin that hugged her neck, the areas where John was not.

Ember Wolfe

Ember flinched and threw John aside, not knowing why she was shoving him aside. To save him? To confront Darius? She didn't know, because she didn't get the chance. Pain exploded in her lower body, but there was no pain where her neck is. Or is there? She blinked, suprised and confused. Darius was moving and small black spot began to cloud her vision. She blinked again and then... Darius was gone. She lifted her hand to her neck and pulled it away. Blood was smeared on her glove. The bullet had gotten her. But no bones were broken, nothing but blood began to fall.

Ember tried to speak to do something. She tried to walk and ended up staggering and grab a low tree branch to hang onto. Her breathing was rapid and... Then she was falling. Her back to the ground, her eyes watching the sky.

What just happened? HE was about to die wasn't he? Then this happened, what the the hell was going on? He stood from the ground a looked at the armored women on the ground, then to Lauren..she...she wasn't moving. John ran over to her and put her head in his arms, her neck had been snapped like a twig. He just ran away and she sacrificed herself for him. What kind of man was he?

He closed Laurens eyes and lay her head back as he folded her arms across her chest. "I'm so sorry Captain...Lauren." He took her arm in his hand and set her her armor for self destruct, it would be five minuets until it went off, vaporizing everything within forty yards of the armor. It was mandatory to do this, to keep the secrets of New Hope safe. He stood up and walked back over to Ember Wolfe who lay on the ground bleeding. He pulled his pistol and put it to her forehead, he wanted to kill her...the first time he had ever wanted to kill anybody. Then something came to him, he could capture her, interrogate her at New Hope and discover her secrets, who were and her friend were and where they came from. He turned her over on her back, and retrieved the energy cuffs he had strapped to the back of his belt. He took her hands and placed them together before the energy bound them together. He tried to pick her up, but the armor she was to heavy to walk with. So he took some rappel rope from his belt and tied it around her feet. He couldn't pick her up, but he sure could pull her the few miles it would take to get to New Hope.

He didn't believe to much in killing, but he had never seen a friend die in battle like this. He was overcome with immense anger and sorrow. As he wiped a tear from his eyes he looked back at the women with hateful eyes, she would be executed for what she had done. And unlike the unjust genocide of the Homosapiens, he didn't much have a problem with it. He began to pull her across the ground, and the bomb on Laurens armor went off and the sound of it sparked John's emotions, and he began to cry...

Darius James

Darius James was a lie, and whats worse was that he had actually let his emotions take control and did something he wasn't supposed to do. He had been sent in as an infiltrator and get the armour, information, and maybe even take out their home base, but it was gone now. The chance had left him the moment he pulled the trigger on Ember Wolfe, a friend he hadn't meant to hurt. And now he was running through the forest thinking that the Spiker bullets had taken the threat down. Threat being Ember and her armour. Spiker bullets being bullets filled with dangerous venom that caused pain, serious pain, venom that was released into the blood vessels as soon as it enter's its target. He tried to take his mind off the pain his former friend might be in, as he slid down a bank and ran smack into Faith. He yelped thinking it might have been Ember, but then thought differently when he fell over and saw other figures. He knew Ember wasn't a very social person and she would never make enough friends to actually have back up.

Ember Wolfe

Ember whimpered softly, her eyes closed tightly feeling the restraints John had put on her. Althought she did feel them, she was suddenly fearing human touch. A habit and fear that had never left her since those forceful hands bruised her and left the two scars on her shoulder. Her memories resurfaced at the thought of human contact and she began confusing her past events with the present, something similiar to a concussion or amnesia amnesia. The Spiker bullets weren't helping either, because the venom was most likely in half her blood vessels now and the pain was excruciating. The blades tore through skin, skin tearing like velcro. She closed her eyes and began to struggle as if trying to fend off an unknown attacker. I promise, sister. Just give it to me! She yelled out, her bound hands becoming claws. "No! No! I won't!" Hands gripped her cuts on her shoulder, squezzing and kneading the torn skin. "Please! Please, brother. Please..." Her screams became moans and mournful whispers.

Ember's veins were on fire, and she was burning in her own metal hell. Blistering heat was flooding her hands. Every touch, every bump, every little bump became an explosion under her skin. Firecrackers were going off and there was nothing she could do. "No, no, no." Harsh. The light was harsh, blaring and painful. Too bright. Too harsh. Everything hurt. She opened her eyes and saw John, and saw him for someone else. She tried to shrink away, to become nothing. "I'm sorry Derek. So sorry." She whimpered again and began to writhe. Her hands were claws and her teeth were gritted.

"I'm sorry Derek. So sorry." Ember murmured
What the hell was her problem? She was freaking out, but not because of her situation. He took a swig of water and looked into the distance, New Hope was in sight and that brought him a great feeling of dread. It made his stomach turn and he had to force himself not to vomit. How was he supposed to explain this to everybody? How he made a stupid decision and got his Captain killed? At least...he looked back at the squirming Ember, he had her. That may make up for some of it. He loved Lauren like a sister, she was the closest thing he had to family. His father disowned him, saw him as a failure even after he got into the Hunter Killers, and his mother never showed very much interest in him. The most interest he got from anybody was from humans when they pointed their guns at him. Although he had conversations with Human prisoners, they hated him at first but they grew a little fond of him. Before they were executed just for being alive. It made him sick...but what else was he supposed to do...he had nowhere to go.

The Captain always made him feel accepted. He knew she didn't trust him to kill when it was needed but she still treated him as an equal. And now this lunatic he was dragging by a rope behind him killed her. It still made him sick to his stomach. He wanted to kill her, he didn't want to want too but he did. He continued to pull her across the sand towards New Hope. Soon they would be there and as he walked he said aloud "What the hell is your problem?"

Ember Wolfe

Ember couldn't distinguish the difference between reality and the fevered hallucinations that were beginning to haunt her. "What the hell is your problem?" She heard it but didn't hear the voice, and some little part of her that was still sane replied by whispering out. "Spikers bullets... Remove the bullets... Venomous... Causes pain and... Hallucin-" She began to cough. She clawed again and the ropes on her feet began to creak, not that it wasn't hard to break them, but her mind was practically tearing itself apart with agony. "So much pain!" She screamed out her eyes opening, dilating and... Becoming more animalistic.

Ember's white armour was beginning to creak and groan like bending metal. Her once white metal slowly started to darken and blacken into an ashy gray. Tears were streaming down her eyes, somehow feeling all the sorrow, and regret she had kept bottled up. The more tears came and the quicker her armour began to change. Then... she was trying to roll and the once smooth white plates of metal began to crack and shatter like glass. She suddenly became quiet, her silent sobs and cries becoming hushed as the wind began to blow. When the wind came, her blackened armour shifted like dirt and lifted into the air and blew away like ash into the wind leaving her almost naked. Under her armour she had on a one piece body suit that was almost like black chain mail. She shuddered and began to shiver as if it were freezing.

Darius James

Darius gritted his teeth at the sudden falling movement. He looked up, and looked Faith right in the eyes. In her eyes he saw curiousity and something else... As if she were exasperated. He blinked before see another person, a guy yelp and point a taser at him. Somehow he found this all funny and began to laugh as he hugged his side, the blood beginning to drip onto the ground. As soon as he began to laugh he stopped quickly and began to cough. He shuddered thinking that these people might decide to kill him and eat him due to his injury. Wouldn't be the first, he thought as he remembered the cannibalistic people he'd met before. So, he decided to talk first in hopes of making them rethink any ideas of harming him. "Name's Darius James. I'm sorry fur runnin into you." His ancent changed from modern into a southern ancent that always made people at ease around him.
