a character in “Black Butler, and The Rozen Maiden”, as played by Gladis

Description

Name: Image
Victoria

Gender:
Female

Personality:
Victoria has an quite arrogant personality, sometimes expecting things from people which might not be obvious for everyone. She sees herself as a lady, and mostly acts the part, as long as she is treated as such. She is a rather quiet person, not speaking unless she has to, and she is easily annoyed in presence of childish behavior. Beneath all that, however, she is a warm person who cares a lot about her friends and family. In fact, she would do almost everything for them. Hence why she, though she knows there is no other way for them, rather would not have played the Alice game. She would find it so very sad to lose a sister.

Power:
Victoria's power lies books lilies which she can produce out of thin air and bend to her will. This means she can actually call forth characters or creatures from books and have them fight for her. However, there is a limit to her power. The stronger the character she produces is, the more of her mediums life force it will take. This means she never uses her power much, and when she does she is very careful about it.

James was too distracted by what he found inside the suitcase, he didn't even notice her ruffling his hair. "It's... a doll," he breathed in awe, carefully picking the tiny little figure up, "and... she's soft... she looks so alive," he continued, his voice barely more than a whisper. The doll had long, blond hair which reached to about her shoulders. Her skin was white and porcelain like, yet as James ran his finger over his cheek it felt soft. The face was very well crafted; she looked almost alive. Her big eyes were shut, giving the image of her sleeping peacefully. Her clothes, like the doll, were art at its finest. It looked like a dress for a high class girl, possibly nobility, in its dark silk colors. The dress was so dark, it almost seemed black, but after a close inspection of James, he decided it was blue. The details had been made in white, finely woven together. "This is stunning work," he commented softly.

James was pulled out of his trance as she mentioned the house. Glancing up, he carefully placed the doll back into the suitcase, holding her tenderly as if the lightest of rough touches would ruin her. "A house, you say? Well, that's good, then..." he shut the case carefully and stood up, deciding that once living accommodations had been care for, he would take a closer look at the doll. There was something odd about her, even if James couldn't put his finger on what exactly it was. It was not a feeling of unease, but neither could he say the doll was giving him any positive vibes. It all simply seemed... strange.

Veronica merely stared at the doll with unblinking eyes...there was definitely something..off about it. Masking her unease with a faint smile she said softly "Don't you think you are a bit too old to be playing with dolls Master? Or perhaps you are just admiring it for the flawless artistic care about it?". Her tone was light and teasing as she quickly began plotting various ways to get rid of the doll. Accidentally burning it on the stove was so far her most interesting idea.

Pulling herself away from the doll's pristine figure she said quietly "Shall we go home Master? I would hate for your clothes to remain smelling so sooty..wouldn't want anyone to think that this upcoming young artist is actually a poor chimney sweep now would we sir?". In truth it was her own discomfort for the scent that made her distressed. After all, it was nearly impossible to clean the scent of smoke from her hair if it settled in their for very long. Yes, she was being selfish...but what more could you ask from a demon?

James let out a small laugh at her comment and carefully put the doll back into the coffin, shutting the lid and picking it up. "Perhaps you're right... but a doll like this must be worth a fortune. It would be sad to leave it in the house to burn up... or out here in the open to get soiled; don't you think?" He smiled at her tinily as he stuffed his free hand on his pocket and held the suitcase with his other one. A her mention of going home, he nodded his head. "We should go," he agreed with a slight nod of his head, just about to start walking and tell her to show the way, when he stopped. "But first, we have something to take care of... where did you leave the children? If possible, would want to return them to their parents before we leave... or otherwise only god knows what would happen to them," James pointed out, his smile faltering as he turned dead serious once more. James's mood often shifted like this; from happy to sad, from cheerful to serious, from crazed to more or less normal, calm to rage filled and visa versa. You could never quite know where you had him, and his reactions differed as his mood did.

"Lead the way," James ordered.
