Her name is Vitani Payne. She's tiny like a delicate doll. She has that loose light blonde hair that almost reaches her shoulders and looks like it's never been brushed. She's as white as a ghost and has a skinny, childlike body. She has those big grey eyes that hold some strange mix of hate and apathy. She's only fourteen.

She's sitting there, giving you the death stare even though you've never said two words to her. She hates you. You don't think you've ever done anything to her, but she hates you.

She hates everything. Absoloutly everything.

She's perpetually apathetic unless she's angry. If you piss her off, you'll be begging for death pretty damn soon. She's never "apart" of anything and she's not your friend. She's a loner and only speaks when she has something sarcastic or morbid to say.

She can read your mind. She can hear your thoughts and see your dreams and relive your memories. And that's why she hates you. Because you exist. Because you force her into your own mind without realizing it. Because you make it impossible for her to have a real life.

She likes to read and watch TV because she doesn't know what those people are thinking. She likes listening to music because she doesn't know the memory behind every word. She doesn't have any talents. She never liked anything enough to try.

But remember, she hates you.

Personality

She only has two emotions. Apathy and hatred. If she's angry, she'll show you by being cunningly cruel. She never raises her voice and she'll stare down anybody even though she's only 4'9. She's brave because she's not afraid to die.

She's insightful because she knows what you're thinking, what everyone is thinking. She can tell you anything you want to know but she never will. She doesn't like anybody because she knows too much about them. She can't have friends because she knows too much about them.

She's generally rude and flippant towards people, writing them off as insignifigant because she knows what's going on in their shallow minds. Nobody can impress her or surprise her.

When she arrives at Black Wood Acadmey she doubts she'll ever find anybody she can stand, let alone respect as an equal.

History

She was born into a normal family. A normal family that couldn't handle a child as frightening as her. Never crying, always staring at you like she could see your soul. When she two years old her PTA mom left her on an orphanages doorstep.

She was never adopted. Families she met with were always scared away by her creepingly calm demeanor and unusual insight. Living in an orphanage wasn't fun. None of the other children wanted to be her friend. They thought she was scary. And after a while, she stopped trying to be there friend.

She would hole up in her room, never speaking to her roomate or anybody unless she had to. When she was fourteen the woman who ran the orphanage heard of Black Wood Acadmey, and having known Vitani her whole life, was sure she'd fit in perfectly. She agreed to go, just to get out of the orphanage.

She doesn't expect very much from it. Just another place where she can be isolated from everybody else. She's not looking forward to it but she'll know she'll get through it. She's hoping the kids at this school for the supernatural will be less mundane and boring then regular children.
