Empathy - In Mason's case, empathy does not simply mean feeling what others feel and in some way attempting to help them. It refers to the fact that he has a gift for reading people, whether it be through their words, expressions, or body language. This is partially because his aspirations have lead him to observe people always, so he might read their reactions to things and use them in his own characters. Very little gets past him.
Stage Fighting / Fencing - The son of a man whose job requirements include choreographing stage combat, it is only natural that he should be the best in the camp at it. He also has studied legitimate fencing as well, thinking it would help with any period pieces that require such things inside of scenes. It also has made him rather quick-footed, which helps in dancing and any actual skirmishes he might be involved in.
Persuasion - Before the show can begin, an actor must persuade the audience into suspending their disbelief and entering the show. Mason can be very persuasive, because his observation of people means that he is good at knowing what others want, prefer, despise, etc. Once you know the desires and motivations of a person, you can bend them to your own.
Weaknesses
Cocky - While Mason isn't an asshole, not typically, he certainly has that sort of cockiness of someone who is very good at someone, and is very aware of their skill. While her upholds professionalism during plays, his cockiness can have him taking unnecessary risks in his personal life, making assumptions about things, and occasionally pissing people off.
Selfish - If he has the choice between saving himself and another person, the choice is obvious to Mason 8/10. This isn't to say that he goes around hurting others for his own gain, he's not that bad. He just will choose himself over another when the stakes are high, which has made him several enemies in the past. He figures that he won't sacrifice himself for another, and if he can manage to save himself than they should do the same.
Tunnel Vision - Sure, on a day to day basis Mason is capable of multitasking. But in the grand scheme of things, his entire life has been centered around theatre, and he has difficulty prioritizing things because of this. Whether it be grades, relationships, etc, it all plays second fiddle to his dream. This allows him to work hard, but can also make him blind to important issues.

{ Confident, Hardworking, Critical, Flirtatious, Empathetic }
Mason is one of those men who are perfectly aware that they are talented at what they do, and that they are rather attractive. This knowledge, which he considers concrete though perspectives of him vary, has given the young man a bit of an ego. There is a spectrum on which his ego might lie from day to day, ranging from simply confident to thinking he's the king of the world. Regardless of his current state, Mason has never been one to second guess or doubt himself, certain of his own abilities. He does not hold back his opinions for fear of being shot down, because he is confident enough in himself that being pushed down will not stop him from getting back up. His confidence is thus admirable in the fact that it allows him to completely be himself, or the character he is portraying, without constantly fretting about what others think. As far as he's concerned, those that dislike him just have poor taste. Of course, this can be somewhat irritating to many, because not everyone likes to hang out with people who think they have the world on a string. His confidence can make him reckless, beside, and when he starts to walk the line between confidence and cockiness, the young man might make stupid decisions. He has such strong confidence in himself that he is never prepared when the worst strikes, leaving him vulnerable much of the time to such things. Not that he won't smirk and call it just a roadbump every time disaster strikes, even if he can't actually solve the problem. He's too proud to every truly admit defeat.
Luckily, he is also hardworking enough that his refusal to accept defeat might seem less like poor sportsmanship and more like a positive work ethic. While he may come across as careless to some, he is in fact the sort of person who is willing to spend as much time as possible working to perfect things. The reason he is better than many professionals at stagefighting is because he has practiced for two hours every day since he turned seven. It is said that one must complete 10,000 hours of focused practice in order to become an expert at something, and Mason is more than willing to dedicate the time and effort in order to achieve this. He has surprising self control, willing to restrain himself from the temptation to take a day off, sleep, cut corners, etc, in order to become better at what he enjoys doing. He is not the sort of person to cut corners when he has committed himself to something, and is in fact incredibly professional about not only theatre, but academics and such. He is not the sort to complain without ever trying --he works for what he wants, and has trouble respecting those who simply seemed to have stumbled into success. When he doesn't like or respect a person, it is easy to tell: he's likely to tell them to their face. Tact is used to get what he wants, but otherwise the young man is surprisingly open.
One case in which he might use tact is when persuading someone into his arms, or bed. Mason is known to be a hopeless flirt, something which has not been helped by the fact that he has spent his high school years as one of those male actors in a school where the actresses outnumber actors by quite a lot. Add this to the fact that he is attractive and can sing, and we have a young man who has become accustomed to being around women and being with women. Some have joked that he will flirt with anything that has a pulse, and this is very close to the truth. He does have things he looks for in a girl, such as talent and personality, but he will casually flirt with literally anyone, in the same way that others might make small talk. Half the time it means absolutely nothing, though he will never turn down a proposition. Yes, he's a horny little bugger at times, but at least he still puts his priority on acting and going to school over those things, for the most part. He'd never play around with someone who he knew would fall too easily, anyway, because being a flirt is not the same thing as wanting to go around hurting people, not by a long shot.
As a child, Mason's mother often taught him that the best of actors learn by observing the people around them. Once you understand how people react to things, and what those reactions look like, you can mimic them well enough that the audience forgets you are an actor. Mason's ability to read and understand others is the true source of his ability, and of his ability to manipulate and persuade when the need arises. He considers people watching a requirement of the job, and his keen eye is very difficult to hide from. If a person is lying to him, 9/10 Mason will know it [7/10 when it is another actor]. He might not comment on it, may let it slide, but he usually knows. Basically, he knows and understands people. Acting, to him, is just a study of people, put on stage.
