Running a hand through my hair, i checked the time once more. Trying hard not to make sure i was late, j stood up slowly and placed the guitar onto my back. Fiddling with my fringe so that it covered the right hand side of my face i began to make my way slowly towards the music room. the corridors where beginning to fill with people heading towards the canteen as i barged pasted. Pushing open the door, i saw see sat in the corner. Not waiting to distract him i lent against the wall outside the door and began trying to control my breathing which had become panicked.

i opened the door, not bothering to do it gently as it would creak anyway. i spotted Caleb right away, he was on the piano 'hey' i said, softly, walking over to him. i took a seat beside the piano before offering one bottle of water and a bacon bap to him 'saw you skipped going to the canteen so i thought you might be hungry' i commented

Pleased with my half an hour's work, I lifted my hands from the keys with a satisfied set, the old stool creaking as I sat back. Almost simultaneously, so did the door leading to the room I remained in. Slightly panicked, I glanced up with widened eyes, hoping it wasn't a teacher about to kick me out for being in here out of school hours. To my relief, I heard Cassia's voice and gratefully accepted her offerings. 'Food is definitely the way to my heart Cass.' I told her with a smile, unwrapping the bap and biting into it happily.
I scooted over slightly on the wide piano stool and patted the area next to it. 'I guess you're all sorted for your assignment then?' I asked to make conversation.

i nodded, taking a seat on the stool 'great, nice to know that any girl that gives you food has won your heart' i joked, smiling. i placed a hand on the piano, playing the only tune i knew, mission impossible. or at least the beginning of it, giving up half way through 'yep, im singing, as you would have probably guessed, what are you playing?' i asked, knowing that he would be on the piano but unsure of the song he chose

I frowned slightly, wondering if I was just unbelievably bad at flirting. 'Uhhh...no but..never mind.' I breathed awkwardly before munching some more on my bacon bap in between sips of water. I chuckled as she began to play mission impossible, looking towards her eyes as she played then away when she finished. 'I didn't know you sung actually..you know other than in the shower like the rest of us.' I smiled, cocking my head slightly as I processed my thoughts a little. It was really nice knowing just one more thing about her if I was honest. 'Umm..Linkin Park. Nothing before.' I told her, placing my hands in the position and playing a few bars of the introduction, glancing up at the sheet music to read the notes.

i smiled warmly, just like me, he was rubbish with this stuff too 'uh, yeah, you could say we all sing in the shower' i shrugged, opening the water and taking a sip. i grinned 'mm, i know that song, its great' i commented, listening to him play as i ate some of the bacon bap, he was actually pretty good. I was tempted to sing along but decided against it, after all, i didn't want to wreck the amazing piano playing with my screeching.

i Soon finished breakfast and headed up to the music room, guessing that that was where everyone was and why they'd not come to breakfast in the first place. I chuckled. 'Everyone knows Numb.' I told her, lifting my fingers from the piano. 'But thanks for the food and stuff.' I thanked her, still stuffing my face eagerly. After finishing off the roll, I sighed happily and then took a sip of some water. Glancing at my watch, I realised there was only five minutes until the lesson officially began and I needed to fetch my backpack aswell as clean my teeth.

Deciding that standung outside the class room wasn't goimg to help anyone, I flicked my fringe and headed into he class slowly. Going straight to the back, I satdown in the corner and began playing 'acadia' once more as I sang alomg slowly. The words rolled off my tongue easily whilest they played with my emotions. It was strajge that a song could effect you in sk many ways
as i opened the door i smiled to cee, moving out of the way as he left before heading inside and scanning the classroom. It was pritty empty but i had gotten here 5 minutes early. i took a small breath before noticing Cassia near the door that Cee had just left through and i smiled. "Morning" I Said politely, still not really feeling being up, to be honest. I'd rather be asleep still. I Wandered over to Lexi with a small smile, once i reached her sitting on the floor besides her chair. "Morning" i said carefully with a warm smile.
Letting the chord fade away quietly, I Removed the guitar from my lap as lee walked in. Smiling polietly I looked dwn as he sat on the floor 'Morningg, Alright down there?' I asked him trying to be courtous even with the butterflies twisting in my stomach. you coukd feell the time edging closer whilest i sat struggling to forget that soon i'd have to sing...Great....Twisting the pic in my hands i looked down at it before back at lee still thinking

By the time I'd processed Lee's comment in my mind I was halfway down the corridor and hurried back across campus towards the dorms. When I reached my room I quickly packed my backpack and brushed my teeth briefly before making my way back to the music room. Slightly out of breath, I slipped in through the music room door and reclaimed my seat on the piano stool with Cassia. I had to squish up against her a little as I let my backpack slip off my shoulder and onto the carpet but I hoped she didn't mind.

I Smiled weekly and let my head fall so it was resting on her elbow with a yawn. "Im nackered. I Want to go back to bed" I Mumbled, thinking outloud. "You OK?" i asked carefully as i looked up to her, my head still resting on her. I looked forwards again as i waited for a reply and closed my eyes slightly, just resting them before i heared Cassias voice. "I'd go with Footloose, Besides, Taylor swift is icky" i mumbled and opened my eyes to look up at her with a small smile. I hated that girl, all she ever sung about was breakups... Surely if she were to stop righting songs that a teenager in high school would have wrote, she'll not have that many breakups because she'll have more time for the relationship she was in.. Well, that was how i saw it, anyway.

My eyes widened slightly as she squeezed my hand and reassured me. Was it that obvious I was crapping myself over something I'd only had about half an hour to practice? To keep myself occupied, I swung my legs round onto the other side of the stool and positioned my fingers on the piano, letting them hover as I decided what to play. Not wanting to ruin the surprise, I simply practiced some scales for a few minutes while I listened to the others chat over the sound of the instrument.
"I Know" i said in a "woe is me" baby voice and stuck out my bottom lip as i lent on her. "Exsactly.. Or as many as the Seas has Plankton" i said with a smile. "Or that the sky has stars.. or that the air has oxygen" i said with a laugh at my array of stupid comparions. I Heard some familer chords and looked over to Cee. "Sounds good Man, Numb?" i questioend slightly as i called to him with a small smile. I'd loved that song, it was one of the first songs i'd learnt to play when i started guitar

i chcukled "I Know right, Very imagantive" i said and looked to the other students who starrted to flood in and practice, with a small yawn i sat up strait and placed my guitar on my knee, figuring i should practice too. (Lets say Lee wrote this song xD) I Had written my own song for this assessment and i began to play the chords, my fingers moving over the neck of the guitar easily, my fingers holding firmly onto the pick as i strummed each string.
'Amazingly creative' I replied laughing as more people filled the small room. Moving the guitar out te way, I placed it gently onto my lap as i listened to lee playing. He was pretty damn awesomee and considering he had wrote his own song he was bond to get an A. With my nervous beginning to freak out, I sat quietly listening to lee and the others prctising as i mumbled the lyrics under my breath. 'I remember the faces, And familiar places' I murmered quietly trying not to distract anyone

i was too tired to be nervous, To numb, in a way. i stopped playing and yawned ever so slightly as i looked up to lexi, Listening for a few seconds before beginning to play once again, however a different part of the song than last time. i understood that nerves was a big thing on everyones mind and i knew i would find it hard with my confidence to sing infront of other people, however i treid to brush it off and i guess i'll just have to act like the big man.. and sing to the floor instred.
