Introduction

Our story starts in a quiet town. Sort of. The home town of a few adolescents. They grew up here together, they mingled, they fell in and out of love (not necessarily within the group at all.) But our story doesn't end here. High school ends. They grow up, they move on, they move away. The group falls apart for quite a few years. They're adults (somewhat) now. It is late September when each of them receive a letter. It was time for them to reunite. Nobody really knows the reason, but the handwriting is that of Cailin, the oldest of the group. She has rented out an mansion in a far side of the state. She never really states a specific reason for it, but she has never really led them wrong before. The group is supposed to meet there, and she has ownership of the estate for a few weeks. Some take it as a chance for a vacation, others as an opportunity to travel.

But they all have secrets. It has been roughly three years since they have seen each other. They have their own lives, some more somber and dark than other's. None the less, none of them have shared. They all carry their own burdens. Once a group full of love, affection, and general foolishness, now has a heavy weight hung over their heads. Their secret is tucked away, even their loved ones don't know. What they don't know won't hurt them, right?

Wrong.

Upon arrival, they see this beautiful, albeit old building. It is gated in, with a large yard full of statues and wilted floral. The building is four stories, counting the attic and basement, though the large basement is strictly off limits. Cailin hasn't been given a specific reasoning for why, but has decided to let it go. The mansion is placed off of a long path that leads out of a thickly wooded area. Civilization is quite a few miles away, and the closest town is very small and run down. Electricity works, but is spotty, and there is no cell phone or internet reception.

They are isolated. Aside from each other, they have nobody to turn to.

Everything starts off pretty average. Typical reunion. Everyone gets settled in their rooms. Some partner up with each other to save space. Others room alone. It all seems so serene, even if it is a bit isolated and just the bit creepy at night.

Then it begins. It starts as small noises in the dark, seeing things out of the corner of your eye. Could it be? No, there was no way it could be. Were your buried secrets...following you? Is that the cry of a child that shouldn't be? They begin to see things that just can't be. Their secrets have bodies. Eyes that can stare at them. Voices that can haunt them.

Are they losing their minds? Can their friends see them, too? Can they explain without spilling their carefully buried secret?

Change of plans, eight characters.

¤ We're all big kids. We know the basic rules. No godmodding, no elaborate sex scenes, the usual. We've been at this long enough.
¤ This is a Silent Hill [ish] based roleplay. Not severely, but the concept of your secrets haunting you came from Silent Hill.
¤ That being said, we're starting subtle. If your secret is you had an abortion, it might start with smelling baby powder, to hearing a baby crying at night. We'll discuss how fast it escalates from there.
¤ To reserve, send me a PM with "Blaring Silence" as the title and a link to a sample. It doesn't have to be huge. Just enough that I know that you can type out a paragraph and not stumble over basic grammar constantly.
¤ I'm not picky on post length. At least one paragraph. Quality over quantity. I don't want a ten paragraph spiel on how your character is brushing her teeth. But I do want something decent. I can't handle tiny, weak posts every time.
¤ Please, post at least once a week, if not more. If you're leaving, let me know, so we can either move on and bring you along, or if you're going for good, so we can kill your character off.
¤ Be respectful of others. We know how to behave, children.
¤ We're starting when they get to the manor. Don't try to start in the middle of the drama.
¤ Utilize the OOC. We like drama and plotting.
¤ Enjoy the ride, kids.

Maybe she should have booked a house somewhere closer to home. Home was California, and home was a lot warmer. Cay wrapped her arms around herself briefly, before uncrossing her arms and fumbling with the keys to the practically sky high fences that guarded the huge manor. She had gotten quite a deal on the place, and it was more than big enough to house all of them for a few weeks. The fact that she had been able to gather them all was a miracle. The rusted keys in her hands fought with her, especially considering she had to figure which one went to the gate. Finally, with a creak, and a moan of irritation from Cailin, the doors slowly began to cooperate with her. They opened, not without some elbow grease from the red-head. She shoved the gates open wide enough to let her car through, deciding she would wait until everyone had arrived to close them again. There was no point in putting that much effort every time someone drove in. Rubbing her hands together, she ran back to her car and didn't waste any time driving into the property. Since she had the keys, and there was nobody waiting for her, she presumed herself to be the first person there. Good. She was able to make sure everything was right before her friends arrived. Cay examined the manor as she got out of her car, which she had parked just in front of the main doors.

It was huge. Coming even from the doctor's daughter, this place sure was grand. Its huge doors, the once vibrant flowerbeds that surrounded the building...there was so much detail. The statues that lingered and seemed to follow her with their stone eyes unnerved her, but Cay learned to shake it off. It was too cold to be standing outside, staring at the manor. She scrambled to the door, and after a short struggle, shoved it open. She was met with a large, open space. Directly in front of the doors, set back about twenty feet or so, was a wide staircase. It led straight up, then led to an indoor balcony that wrapped around the left and right portions of the room. Some of the doors leading to the bedrooms could be seen by just gazing up to where the stairs led, where as others required actually exploring up the stairs.

Cay blinked a few times. It had been nice in the pictures, but this was beautiful. It had an old, classic charm to it, despite that it was somewhat poorly lit. It wasn't dark, but it was definitely not modern lighting. The lighting was sort of dim. She would remember to run to town and get better lightbulbs. But for now, it would do. It was warm enough, but she knew that there wasn't a great heating system in the manor. It was old, and hardly touched as far as modernization went. It would have to do. She wandered through the area, to the left being the hallway that led to the kitchen and formal dining room. The right lead to a medium size study, a gathering area that could pass as a living room, and a bathroom. It was one of three in the manor.

It would have to do. The kitchen was stocked per Cay's instructions. The fridge was decent, but not extremely modern. It kept things cold, and that was about it. The cupboards creaked and moaned but were clean. The faucets were stubborn but they had hot water that wasn't brown or horrible. Cailin rubbed at her eyes, noting to dust when she had the chance. It was kind of creepy, being here alone, but she shoved the thought off and moved back towards the foyer. There, she dumped her bags at the base of the stairs, perching herself on the bottom step. That way, she was facing anyone who entered after her. "Honey, I'm home!" She called quite sarcastically to the empty air.

When Tess turned the corner so that she was facing the manor in her car, she uttered a small gasp. Wow... this place was fancy.
The car jerked to a stop as she took a few moments to take it all in; the huge exterior of the place, the obvious attention to detail that had been thought about when designing such a thing, and, most importantly...the fact that she would be seeing all of her friends again. That was the part she was both excited about. Most nervous about, aswell, but...she was sure the nerves would wear off.
With that, she started the car back up again and entered through the front gate, a small smile on her face as she saw a car next to the doors. Someone must already be here. Things were looking up already.
Parking her car next to Cailin's by the doors, she quickly jumped out, her long blonde ponytail swishing from side to side at the back of her head as she did so, then walked around to the trunk and pulled out her bags. Following this, she quickly headed towards the door and into the manor, a wide grin plastered on her face as she saw Cailin sitting on the step.
"Miss me?"

Lissa watched through the window of her father's car (she had yet to acquire her own licence, and to her, using up her parents' time was much better than using up their money) and shook her head ever so slightly at she stared out at the passing greenery. Twenty-one years old and having her father drive her around. She felt like a teenager again, being dropped off at the school gates. Fitting, since beyond the gates to this house were her old friends. A surge of panic shot through her stomach at the thought. It had been so long, and so much had happened...She wasn't the same girl she was in high school, she wasn't their Barbie doll anymore, and she was terrified they wouldn't be accepting of how different she was now.
She lifted her head from where it was resting on her palm just as the manor came into view, her eyes widening ever so slightly in shock as this place was so much bigger than she'd have ever imagined...The car stopped just outside the gate, and Lissa turned to her father.
"Well. Here we are, Princess," he stated, giving his daughter a warm smile, which she attempted to return. Though, it came out as just a faint shadow of her father's expression.
"Thanks, Daddy," she answered, unbuckling her seatbelt and leaning over to kiss his cheek. As soon as she turned to open the door, her father said:
"Hey, Liss? Have fun, okay? You haven't been your chipper self in a while." Lissa turned back to him, still with the ghost of a smile on her face, and nodded, then stepped out of the car and retrieved her bags from the boot. She saw the two other cars parked outside and that panic returned, though not as strongly as before, but she swallowed it back and walked up the front door, then lifted her hand and knocked as her father's car drove away.

Cailin was left alone with the large manor for a little while. Not long enough to frustrate her, but enough that she was admiring the detailing in the ceiling, and the strange paintings that were scattered on the walls. She only snapped back to reality when she heard the door open. Tess! Cay grinned widely, jumping up off her perch on the step and scrambling to hug her. "Tess! Of course I missed you, gorgeous. You're the first one, other than yours truly. Means you get best pick of the rooms." Cay winked at her, and let go, stepping back to give her some room. She clasped her hands in front of her, spinning around a little to sort of gesture at the grand interior of the foyer. Was it technically a foyer? Cay never was good with interior type words. A balcony was steps with a railing to her. It was a wonder she had gotten a place so grand for so cheap. It was even cheaper than renting the nice two family house that was closer to town. Maybe people thought it was haunted. Cay smirked at the idea. Haunted. Yeah, maybe in a bad story-book.

"How was your ride? I hope it wasn't super hard trying to find this place. I know it's kinda secluded. The caretakers gave me the keys when I met them in town and told me that nobody around, aside from them, really came up here. You know. Old suspicious pe--"
she was interrupted by a gentle knock on the door. Oh, who was that? Cay moved quickly to the door, yanking it open to see Lissa. "Hello gorgeous!" Cay didn't hesitate to hug her, despite her friend being burdened with bags. She stepped back to look her up and down, clearly confused by the stark change in appearance. It didn't upset her, but it was a cause for a bit of confusion. "Well, look at you. You're adorable. Wish I could pull off straight hair. I end up looking like a ginger version of the chick from the ring." She paused, then stepped out of her way.

"Well come on! Come check this place out, it's huge!" She stepped into the manor, sort of moving around the perimeter of the foyer and pausing to stand at the base of the steps like she had before people started arriving.

Lissa blinked in surprise when the door opened and she was ambushed by the little red-headed missile, and it took her just a moment to regain her bearings and register the girl as Cailin. With a soft laugh, she just managed to lift one hand which was carrying the lightest load and return the embrace.
"Hey, Cay."
Another laugh escaped her lips when Cailin mentioned her hair, and her hand automatically lifted up to touch it. "Thanks..." she muttered quietly in response to the 'adorable' comment, then stepped inside the manor when Cailin stepped away.
She looked around in wonder, at it looked so much bigger from the inside than it did from the exterior. Grander, too, with every little meticulous detail from the statues that decorated the place to the complicated patterns on the ceiling.
"You're not kidding..." she murmured breathlessly. She felt a rush of excitement, looking at this place, which only doubled when her eyes landed on the second of her old friends.
Since seeing Cailin at the door, and now Tess in this manor, that ghostly smile she had before entering had turned into a smile as bright and as wide as those that were constantly plastered on her face as a teenager.
"Well hi there, you!" she said to Tess as she carried her bags over to the staircase and dropped them beside Cailin's.

Tess looked at Lissa and Cailin, still smiling widely as she just took the two of them in. It had been YEARS since she'd seen a friendly face.
"Well well well...someone looks even HOTTER now they've gotten older..." She giggled, smiling and gave Lissa a hug, looking around the room as she did so. "No fair. I TRY not to be jealous, but...just LOOK at YOU..." She said, then immediately looked at Cailin. "You too, Cay. Obviously. But that's WAY too obvious to be commented on." She smiled sweetly.

Cay nodded excitedly as her friends took in the huge manor in all its old glory. "Isn't it gorgeous?" She clapped a little, moving around the area and trying to familiarize herself with the layout of the building. At least, the first floor. There was still an entire upstairs to explore yet. She was distracted, though, by her shirt, which nearly caught on one of the small tables in the foyer. She swore softly to herself, fixing it, and frowning. Her attention was grabbed when she heard her name mentioned, then rolled her eyes, a grin plastered on her face. "I know I'm gorgeous, you don't need to tell me." Cailin playfully flicked her hair and strutted, before nearly tripping on the carpet.

"But I picked my career. I'll take adorable animals over catty models any day." She winked, moving and sitting on the steps again. Hopefully, everyone else showed up. Part of her was concerned that people wouldn't be able to make it, or worse, get lost trying to find the huge manor. It was set back far enough that there weren't any road signs. There was a decent pathway, but it wasn't exactly a huge highway.

Colton Woodlock

The sound of tires scrapping through the rough concrete echoed through the woods as Colton drove his silver Volvo towards the indicated destination. His eyes where focused intently in the road, looking out in case an animal decided to give him a heart attack by jumping in front of his brand new car. He had just gotten his new vehicle, and he had treated it like his baby. His hands grasped the steering wheel tightly, knuckles turning white from the nerves. It had been about for to five years that he hadn't seen his High School friends. Why Cailin had called him and invited him over, he had no idea. She was a strange woman and he'd never guess what was going on through her mind at any moment.

His eyes widened as the big old manor came into view. Tall, antique, and incredibly creepy but beautiful in its own twisted way. The tall black gates where already opened, as if inviting him in. Something about the house was incredibly wrong, and he could tell that. But it was also sort of calling his name in. He parked his car besides another one, assuming in belong to someone else who had already arrived before him. His breath came out quickly, and he felt sweat starting to form on his forehead. Why the heck am I nervous? Colton asked himself. He snapped his fingers, which was a nervous habbit he had developed since Middle School, and opened the driver's door.

The scent of fresh air hit his nose, and he could clearly smell damp wood, humidity and mud. His feet made no sound as he swiftly closed the driver's door, and took out two bags from the trunk. He carried them with both hands, took a deep breath and walked towards the antique house. He looked around, eyebrows furrowing in a confusing manner, making out all the little engravings and details in the house that he hadn't noticed from inside his car. He's eyes locked on the front door, and saw it was slightly left ajar. He smirked crookedly and opened the door fully, putting his luggage by his feet and running a hand through his already disheveled hair. He's eyes wandered around until he came across four woman standing in the entrance too. He could recognize only Cailin, but the other two where giving their backs to him, so he couldn't quiet place a name to them.

Colton cleared his thoat, gaining the attention of the four females and giving them an arrogant side smirk.

"Missed me?"

Lissa laughed softly as once again she was ambushed by a hug and complimented. This compliment, however, dimmed her smile ever so slightly. Adorable and gorgeous she was okay with, but being called 'hot' was something that caused discomfort for her. But still, she kept her smile and returned the hug.
"Why thank you...You're not looking too bad yourself, Tess."
She turned when she heard the door open, anxious to see who the latest arrival would be. The first thing she saw was the dark hair, then that smirk - the smirk she was all too familiar with.
With another quiet giggle, she rolled her eyes.
"How could we not?"

Tess blinked. "Okay, who be the dude stealing my mouth words?" She gasped, a mocking tone in her voice as she quickly turned around to face the door, then grinned. "Colton Woodlock, get that sexy ass over here and give me a hug RIGHT NOW."
Tess smiled widely, holding her arms wide open. She'd always been a hugger, and after getting one from both Cay and Lissa, she wasn't going to let Colton off without one. No matter how uncool it made him look.

Colton Woodlock

"How could we not? A sarcastic voice replyed to Colton's question. His eyes turned towards the source of the voice and his eyes locked with a pair of icy-blue eyes. Instantly a name came to mind. Lissa.

Colton could clearly see that she had grown up. She still looked the same thought. Maybe with a little bit more curves, darker and straighter hair, and a much more mature pose. She had grown up to be a beautiful and hot woman. But of course, it wasn't as if Colton was going to tell her that so bluntly. Maybe he could camuflage it with a cocky reply?

"Ah, Lissa! You look the same as before! Only more old," Colton replyed, sending the ex-blonde a wink. His smile took more form, showing his never changing dimple. As much as he hated it, it made the ladies knees melt like jelly. He took his luggage with both hands yet again, and advance deeper into the mansion.

"Okay, who'd be the dude stealing my mouth words?" Another voice replyed. He could distinguish that voice everywhere, and as he was about to reply to the question, Tess turned around grinning like the Cheshire cat. He loved Tess and her excitement. It always turned his depressing days into more shinnier ones back at school.

"Colton Woodlock, get that sexy ass over here and give me a hug RIGHT NOW," Colton's smile grew wider at the blonde's request, and throwing his luggage to the side once again, he slowly approached Tess, who was prepared to hug him with her arms open. He stepped closer, and took her into his arms, hugging her tightly.

"Tess! I missed your hugs!" Colton told her, releasing her from the embraze and ruffling her blonde hair. He was much more taller than her and that amused him, causing him to laugh slightly. "I see you haven't grown a bit, midget."

Tess' smile faded slightly and she flattened her hair back down, looking up at Colton. "Okay, I HAVE grown...a little..." She said quietly, looking back down at her shoes. "I don't LIKE being small, but...I can't help it..."
This was something that was true. Tess used to LOVE being small; she got the twirly hugs, people called her cute, and she was pretty popular...but since then, a lot of bad things had happened to her that were made even more horrific due to the fact she was small. Things she didn't like to think about.

Lissa rolled her eyes again, her smile returning to, and even surpassing its earlier brightness.
"Thanks, Colton...I guess I'll take that as a compliment," she said quietly as she took in his dimpled smile. In her teenage years, she was one of the girls whose knees he melted with that smile, though...With him being her close friend, she never allowed those feelings to reach the surface. Too much would have been at stake if she did. But even now, after all these years and after everything she'd been through, it still caused a tiny little flutter in her chest.

Bryce had been driving for quite a while now, leaning back in his seat with his CDs playing. This whole road trip, he had been alternating between pulling over to sleep and continuing his drive. Since entering college, getting a job, and trying to have a social life, there wasn't much sleeping time that he had left over, which often made it very hard to, well, function at times. He was excited to see some people that he knew from High School again, wondering how much they had changed over the years that he hadn't seem them.

Back in high school, he had been the awkward nerdy kid. He was somewhat short at the time, being a strange, late bloomer kind of kid until he graduated early. After that he shot up from 5'8" to his current 6'3", and went from somewhat thick to being rail thin. Not to mention his hair and eyes changed, hair went from light ash to an auburn while his eyes went from a green to a very faded blue-green. It was a pleasant change, but he still didn't get any girls, didn't talk to many. He was just glad that he had gone from awkward, weirdly cute looking to actually surprisingly handsome and good looking. Letting out a bark of laughter to himself, he predicted they would be surprised. Catching sight of the manor, his eyes widened a bit and he leaned forward.

"Woah," he muttered to himself, turning down his CD to barely audible. Anyone who knew anything about Bryce knew he was an avid horror fan. "Spooky," he chuckled. "Cool." The states that loomed over him almost seemed to stare at him as he slowly drove down the way in his Dark, grey-blue 2010 Hyundai Sonata. It was really a creepy feeling, and the thrill almost disappeared under intimidation. However, looking forward, he saw a place to pull in and did so, parking. Man, he couldn't wait to see everyone.

He turned off the A/C, then the radio, then the car itself. Stepping out of the car, he closed the car door behind him before opening the trunk. He threw a backpack over his shoulders and held onto a large, rather strong looking suitcase before letting the trunk close and the car lock itself with a 'Blip-blip!' before walking towards the massive building. He would be living here? Shit, his apartment was a one room, and the kitchen and bathroom were around the same size - Freaking insanely tiny. Walking up the stairs, he placed his hand on the door. Well, this was it, moment of truth. Was everyone more successful than him? Pfft- who was he kidding, of course they were. He grinned to himself and let out a hardy laugh before pushing the door open and popping his head in.

"Hey, hey. I'm not the last one, am i?" he called out as he knocked on the door a bit so they knew he was there. Pushing the door fully open, he walked in. "You guys didn't get all adult on me while i was gone now, did 'ja?" he laughed, setting his suitcase on the ground. He wasn't too much different when it came to the clothes he wore though; Long sleeved shirt with dress shirt collars popping out at the top, loose fitting (but not baggy) fitting jeans, and some everyday, casual shoes that he seemed to wear around a lot. He didn't wanna wander around aimlessly around a house he didn't know, so he voted for simply staying where he was for now, wondering how everyone had changed and if they would recognize him.

Cay grinned as she watched Tess and Lissa. It was just like old times, only they had all matured quite a bit. It wasn't a bad thing, but it would take some adjusting. It had only been a few years, but years were a big thing when you were young. It was a matter of going from teenage kid to adult. It was amazing but intimidating to see. She was interrupted from her thoughts when Colton entered, all ego and smiles. She clapped happily, watching as Tess and Lissa took their turns ambushing him with hugs. Good. There were no weird feelings between anyone, and they were all able to pretty much pick up where they left off. If anything, the lapse of time where they all were apart seemed to help their friendships. "I feel neglected. No love for the ginger, fine, I see how it is." She teased gently, getting up off her spot on the steps and lightly stretching.

"As for you, Tess. You're the sweetest little thing. Fun-size. My favorite kind of candy." She stuck out her tongue. "Besides, do you know what it's like to have your date get mad at you for wearing heels? Being tall isn't fun. It's not cute." Cay's lower lip jutted outward in a slight pout. But soon enough, she turned her sights back to Colton. "Hey, you, c'mere." With that, she moved towards him and grabbed her friend in a tight hug. It was brief, and she let him go, stepping back and flicking her hair away from her face in irritation. "Your hair. I like it. It's kinda rock-star-ish. Been staying out of trouble?" She smiled at him, shoving her hands into her jean pockets.

"So guys, are you ready to be stuck with all the idiots we caused chaos with back in high school? It's like a sleepover, only the house is huge and there's no wifi!" She laughed, spinning around a little and once more almost catching her shoe on the carpet. With a shake of her head, she leaned against the wall and yanked off her flats, chucking them into an undetermined direction. "Well, screw that." She murmured, grinning a little to herself.

Cay was then distracted once more by the door opening again. It was Bryce. And he looked all grown up! "Grown up? You went and turned into a man! Holy crap!" Cailin scrambled to him and greeted him with a tight hug. "Jesus, everyone grew up and got gorgeous, and I still look like I crawled out of the girl's bathroom during a pep rally." She laughed, looking Bryce up and down for a few moments before letting him go. "You're not the last, or the first. We're still waiting on people."

Leon had music playing quietly for background noise as he made his trip to this manor he'd been invited to. He was initially hesitant to go, he had after all sort of cut everyone out of his life a few years back. Even though he regretted it deeply now, he wasn't sure how they'd feel about seeing him again. Leon took a deep breath and sighed. He was so lost in his own thoughts he nearly missed the turn off and had to quickly swerve his car to make it onto the long driveway.

As the manor neared, Leon couldn't believe how big it was. Huge, old and beautifully eerie, "You've done it again Cay" he said to himself with a half smile. As the car pulled up, Leon's hands gritted tighter to the steering wheel, nerves getting to him. He pulled up next to one of the others cars "few here already" he mumbled to himself. As he exited his car he grabbed a sports bag from the back and slung it over his shoulder. Leon was never one for heavy packing.

As he hitched the bag he reminisced about all the horror stories the gang used to tell each other around halloween. He smiled fondly, stories about dead woman getting revenge on their lovers... old haunted mansion where ghosts stalked the residents... bloody mary... Leon laughed a little bit and shook his head, this place was oddly reminiscent of the house he'd always picture when someone would say "it happened in an old mansion". He stared around the grounds and took in the sights around him and Leon wondered how Cay had found it...

He soon turned to face the manor and moved forwards to the front door stopping on the last step. He knocked hesitantly, not sure if he could barge into this house like he used to do to the others when they were younger. A lot had changed since then. Then Leon breathed deeply once more and decided that if he wanted things to be normal between him and the others again he'd have start acting like they were... He'd been doing it since the crash and he could do now couldn't he?

He opened the door and saw some of the group in front of him "Honey, I'm home" he said with a grin.

Tess looked over at Cailin and smiled weakly when she heard her, tucking one side of her hair behind her ears. Fun-size. Now that was something she liked to hear.
Pity you don't have the innocence to go with it...
She blinked as she heard the small voice inside her head. It was quiet, so much it was barely recognisable, but she would know that voice anymore. Had she taken her meds this morning? Had she forgotten? What about yesterday? Did she remember then? The thoughts shot through her mind, millions of little questions flying around in here and almost masking the rest of what that low, taunting voice said.
When Bryce walked through the door, her eyes immediately widened slightly, and she took a moment or two to just take him in, furiously blinking. And, after that, immediately dashed towards the door and hugged him tightly, nearly knocking him off his feet.
"OHMYGODBRYCEEEEEE!" She squealed, that bright smile quickly returning as she eventually let go of him and stepped back. "What happened to you? I mean, first Cay, then Lissa, Colton and now you...how come you all look so much older and more mature and I still look like a kid?" She pouted slightly.
When she heard another knock, she immediately looked over towards the door, and then made another loud squeaking sound when she saw Leon standing at the door. Quickly moving over to him in turn and giving him a quick welcome hug, she smiled around at the friends of hers who were already here. Not many things phased Tess, but...seeing them all here, looking happy and having all of them still make time for her was enough for her to be happy.

Lissa stood back and watched the two latest of her old friends arrive quietly, smiling as she saw everyone greet them. Then, when Tess had finally finished bounching around and attacking Bryce and Leon with hugs, she stepped forward and held her arms out, looking between the two.
"Hey, where's my love? Now I know I'm different and, like, twice as gorgeous - if that was at all possible - but no need to feel intimidated..." She said jokingly, flashing a sweet smile to the two boys and flicking her fingers to her palms a few times.
Her actions and her words shocked her. Not even an hour in her old friends' company and already sudden bursts of her old self had started to shine through.

'Honey, I'm home.' Hey! Somebody had stolen her line! Cay turned on her heel, a grin growing steadily on her face. Leon. Oh, he was a nuisance. In the best possible way. "That's my line, loser, take it back." She stuck her tongue out, waiting for a moment as Tess hugged him. Cailin rolled her eyes with a playful smile when Lissa stood between the two boys--they weren't boys anymore. Were they men? Inbetween? Her eyebrows scrunched together as she eyed Bryce and Leon for a moment, then shrugged her shoulders. Maybe a little bit of both. Everyone was happy, and everyone seemed relatively healthy. This was good enough for Cay. In fact, them being there was just awesome in itself. She made her way over and hugged Leon for a moment. "Seriously, stop stealing my words. I'll lose my charm, and then what will I be? The token ginger?" Cay grinned cheekily at him, squeezing him, then letting go and stretching her arms up towards the ceiling, pacing in a bit of a circle around her friends.

Clearly, they were still waiting on a few people, but for the most part, the gang was here. She smiled widely, drifting back towards her perch on the base of the steps. "We're just waiting on a few stragglers. But we're mostly all here. Yay! Everyone survived the trip!" Cay grinned and clapped her hands together, hiding a small twinge at her unintentional choice of words. She wasn't completely at peace with her decision. Part of her was glad nobody had questioned her being alone. Her friends were generally the type not to question her too much. Even the police in her new hometown had labeled it off as him leaving her for another woman and closed the case.

"So yeah. This place is huge. But a few of the bedrooms share bathrooms. Every two bedrooms has a bathroom that connects them. But the bathrooms here are bigger than my entire bedroom at home. Huge!" She was rambling, a bright red flush coming to her cheeks. Excitement and nerves had caught up to her. It wasn't really Cay to get nervous, but more antsy and overstimulated. She was the type to get too excited and let it go to her head a little bit. Getting everything settled and everyone in one room would help. So far, they were doing well.

Leon flashed a bright toothy smile when Tess and Lissa rushed up and said their hellos. He hugged Tess back and rolled his eyes when Lissa made her remark. "Still the same old Lissa" he snorted cheekily, "But you're only about one and half times more gorgeous... but its ok, you can't look like me anyway.." he smiled at her and moved forward when Cay ran up and hugged him. Leon hugged back and flashed another smile when she scolded him for taking her one-liners, "Oh come on Cay!" he whined jokingly, "You know I only do it because I make them sound good" he chuckled again, "But I'll try by best not to.. after all, you wouldn't want being a red head your only memorable feature" he joked.

Cay then began explaining the general layout of the house, and Leon nodded quietly as he listened. As Cay spoke, Leon turned to Bryce, "Hey Buddy!! How are you?" he put an arm around Bryce's shoulder, "You haven't changed much" he grinned. Just then Cay stopped talking and Leon saw he face flush red, he walked over to her and slung his arm over her shoulder this time, "You need a drink" he smiled, "Or maybe to give us a tour shortly... You look like you keep talking" he teased with another smile.

Then Leon turned to Colton, "I didn't you see there!" he said excitedly, "Where have you been all my life? How are you?!" he joked, "Have we got some catching up to do guys and gals or what?"

Cay shook her head, nearly jumping out of her skin when an arm was curled around her. She blinked a few times, then laughed and swung to wrap her arms around Leon. "Oh, I need a drink really bad. Good thing I thought ahead and packed all sorts of bad habits for the next few weeks." She responded, grateful for the reality check. And a tour. Oh yeah. Them getting lost in the manor wasn't exactly the top of her 'want' list. She eased away from Leon now, reaching and pulling her hair out of its ever trusty ribbon. It tumbled now past her shoulders, something that she usually didn't care for. It always got in her way. She was always moving, always jumping around, getting into fights. But there was no need for fights here. There was nothing to stress out about. There was nobody that could hurt her or her friends here. Cay smiled, reaching with an idle hand to twist a few strands of hair around her finger.

"Yeah, I don't want you idiots getting lost. There's not a lot of cell service around here, so I don't wanna spend the next few weeks hunting you fools down because somebody took a wrong turn going to the bathroom and ended up in the dungeo--I mean basement." She winked playfully. It really was just a basement, but it was completely off limits as far as the caretaker had told her. That didn't curb her curiousity, but for the time being, she would leave it alone. "Don't go down there, by the way. Lots of things that can be tripped on that could kill you. And it's just plain gross down there." Cay scrunched up her face.

Trying to keep their group out of trouble, though? Not exactly the easiest feat. Cailin could barely keep herself out of trouble. She shook the thought off, offering a cheeky smile. It was going to be a good time. A good thing. Not something for her to mope and moan and linger on the past. It was better to move on, and be happy that they were all still as thick as thieves, if not closer.

#, as written by Leon21
Music blasted through the air as Amos cruised down the road in his black '62 Cadillac Eldorado. It was hard rock, with a pounding beat and heavy guitars, the sort of music that nobody would ever believe Amos actually listened to. Most of the songs appeared to have some rather strong gothic influences, considering the lyrics - or, to be more precise, a translation of the lyrics, since they were in German - were incredibly depressing. Most people never believed Amos when he claimed to listen to such music, but, Amos didn't really care if people believed him or not. He liked the music, and that was more than enough for him.

As he drove through the large metal gates of the manor, he slowly nodded in approval. "Nice," he murmured under his breath, looking at the towering building. "So Cailin managed to find something decent after all." He pulled up in the driveway in front of the house, parking his car close to the door. Since he had owned the Eldorado since his sixteenth birthday, Amos had gotten incredibly good at parking it even though the car was practically long enough to span the width of the continent. The Eldorado was currently parked perfectly, something that took quite a bit of skill.

Amos got out of the car, making sure that the door was locked before he strolled up to the door of the mansion. Despite knowing that he was rather late, Amos was in no hurry. He never was. Amos liked to arrive at places when he wanted to, which mean that he was often incredibly late. He didn't care.

"Hello, anyone home?!" He called upon strutting into the large house, looking around. Upon seeing the group of people standing in the entrance hall, he walked over to them. "Hey guys," he said, sounding surprisingly nice. Of course, these people were his friends, and they were the ones who only ever saw his good side, so it made sense that he was currently acting like a fairly decent human being.

Another arrival. Another distraction. Cay smiled brightly, clapping her hands together when she caught sight of Amos. "Took you long enough!" She teased, playfully placing her hands on her hips. Part of her had urged to go and leap on him, but previous experience, though it had been years, had taught her to stay put. Their dear friend had always been a little touchy about others getting in his space. Particularly, hugs. The thought dimmed her bright grin, but it did nothing to affect her excitement to have all the people she held dear in one spot. Nothing could take that from her. Even the creepiness of the manor she had picked. It was beautiful, but the remote location gave it a bad video game feel. She shrugged off the thought, opening her arms with a mock grandeur like she was a politician opening some great building.

"Welcome to the Teriah Manor, kids, I will be your tour guide, your friend, and your drinking buddy for this trip! However, I am not the maid. Any messes you morons make are your own problems. We're all adults here." Cay stuck out her tongue, motioning for her growing group of friends to follow her. There was only one of their friends left yet to arrive, so she figured it was a good time to get them out of the foyer and show them around the giant building. "You can follow me, or you can get lost trying to find the bathroom tonight. Your choice." Cailin turned on her heel, making motions with her hands for them to follow. Whether any of them actually followed was really their choice.

"If you're gonna ignore me, bedrooms are upstairs!" Cay yanked the small paper with the floor plan on it out of her pocket. The one thing the caretaker had given her as far as instructions. She peered at it, then started towards the kitchen. "Big kitchen, terrible pipes." She stated, standing at the doorway for a moment, examining it. It was nicely sized, though the decor was sort of outdated, and the gas stove needed a serious upgrade. "So don't mind if you hear this noise in the night..." Cay wandered towards the sink, turning the water on and off, a loud, groaning noise echoing through the house. "See? Evil, angry pipes."

Whether she was talking to herself at this point was irrelevant. She made a point out of sweeping through the other rooms. If you faced the stairs in the foyer, the kitchen and dining room where on the left. The dining room was connected to the kitchen, with a doorway that led to the basement just a few feet down the hall. On the right was the study, the gathering room that had a huge fireplace, and one of the main bathrooms. It had a shower, thankfully updated, and was big enough that someone (if they wanted to) could fit an entire living room set comfortable inside. It, like the other bathrooms, had a full vanity and room for multiple people (why?) to move around in. Good enough.

Cay eventually ended the short tour, distracted by her own things as they were still scattered at the base of the stairs.

"Alright guys, let's pick rooms! Don't complain if the person your bedroom shares the bathroom with uses all the hot water. We're adults now, we're not in camp." She stuck out her tongue, moving to pick up her things and start up the large staircase.

Leon listened to Cay talk, but only half-heartedly... He was in awe of this mansion. He couldn't help but feel so familiar with it, it was really something. He took note of the important stuff though, where the gathering room and kitchen and all that stuff was, and scoffed when Cay said they were to stay out of the basement.

"Good luck with keeping anyone out of there now" he teased, "Y'know once you say no to me I have to go and do it" he said flashing his teeth in a childish grin. Leon turned around and admired all the decorative detail that edged the cornices of the foyer. "Cay, how old is this place?" he asked curiously, "I can't help but feel like i've seen it before".

Leon turned to the stairs then and walked a few up, "So the room are up here?" he asked another question before Cay could answer... He always had a habit of doing that, asking questions then asking more before he got the answer. He walked a few more steps up and a cold draft chilled him, "Brrrr" he rubbed his hands together, "You need to fix the heating in here" he joked, "Or I could?" he teased "The boiler in the basement?" he asked with another smirk... "Don't worry" he sighed right after, "I promise ill stay out of there Cay...maybe".

Leon looked at everyone else and then smiled, "I get first pick!" he shouted like a little kid.

Bryce was pleased to see that the others had recognized him and laughed when he was attacked with hugs. "Yeah, i know! Crazy, right?" he chuckled. "I got tall! And skinny!" He was more than happy to share to the others, even if they didn't care - Because damn! He had lost quite a few pounds and it was great! Life being tall and twiggy was awesome! As others began to enter, he let himself look around the manor. Wow, quite the place!

He turned in a full circle, letting out a low whistle. The place looked... Well, old. Not in a bad way or anything! But it certainly was getting up there in the years. It was kind of nice really, since he was usually surrounded by everything modern; Modern houses, modern technology, modern- Just everything. It was like being thrown back into the past. As Leon asked how old the place was, he listened, curious as well. He'd need something to distract himself with if he didn't have any computer or cellphone reception - History would be good enough. Or wandering around, that was always nice too.

"You guys got an attic room?" he asked as he walked up the stairs after them with his bags, struggling to lift the heavy cases all the way up the stairs. One of them was simply filled with clothes and such, but the other was filled with various wires and circuit boards - Simply to keep up with his hobby while he was here. Besides, even if he was somewhere with barely enough electricity to run a blender, he still had batteries with him. "The attic room would be great,"
