Description:
Personality: Toru is a nice guy most of the time, the only time he is mean is when he is tired. The person he usually lets all his anger out on is Ataru, because he considers Ataru to be like a little brother to him. Toru is devoted to his captain only because he wants to surpass her and become a stronger fighter and researcher.
Toru is a happy drunk, but when he is drunk he can’t keep a secret to save his life. So most people never trust him with secrets. It makes him kind of sad, but he deals with it by drinking and having fun. Toru is protective of those he cares about, he would have no problem laying his life on the line for a friend. But he plans on never dying in battle until he beats Serika in a fair fight. So Toru is determined and he lets his determination drive him to do his best.
History: Toru was a happy kid during his academy days, always having fun, pulling a few tricks when he could. He liked to be the clown of the group. But that all changed when he joined squad 12. He was given a chance by the captain, so Toru didn’t waste it. He trained hard and became a true Shinigami. Because of that he was able to survive the attack, with only a few minor injuries.
Zanpakuto: Kurai Utsukushi-sa (Dark beauty)

Abilities: Kurai Utsukushi-sa is a rare Zanpakuto, she gives Toru the ability to control Kido that would usually be beyond him. It allows his Kido to have the same devastating effect as a captain or possibly higher. He can use Bakudo, hado, healing spells and barriers. Kurai Utsukushi-sa is also enhances Toru’s Hakuda abilities, his speed is beyond anything a flash step could ever be. He is also capable of blending Kido and Hakuda, similar to Shunko, but just a little bit differently.
The weakness of this ability is that its uncontrollable, it causes Toru pain when he uses it for to long. Because the longer he uses it the more reiatsu it draws into him, it is actually meant to enhance his powers as the fight goes on, but the ability overloads his body and becomes unbearably painful. Toru almost never uses his Shikai for more than ten or fifteen minutes anymore than that and he starts to feel sharp pain all over his body.
