The other Shinigami seemed ot now want to talk, realizing maybe a bit more that he was out of his league. "Calma, did you hear that? All they want to do is kill Hollow's? I don't think they know what we are." With that, Jericho stepped out of his Gigai, eyes closed. He then popped the soul into his mouth and ate it. He then opened his eyes, revealing his Hollow eyes. "I'm Jericho Corvus, and we are......essentially, Hollows." He then released about 25% of his reiatsu. He had killed lesser Hollows just by doing this before. He just wanted to show them they were out of their league and that they should not resist. "Don't worry though, I won't fight you. I wouldn't insult Calma like that, offering help where she clearly didn't need it. So......the next move is yours."
"Talk? But why speak when your weapons do it for you?" She said. "Besides, why make it safe for humans? They destroy themselves, what's a couple of hollows to them?" She asked, tilting her head. "That's what I don't get, Jeri. They say they want to help humans. But humans are fine on their own! Really, you should be saving them from themselves, catch my drift? But your old man's kinda sly like that. Making you save people that don't even see you back... No recognition what so ever! Being a hollow is so much easier. Eat or be eaten." She said, holding her arms out wide. "So what's it gonna be? The prey or the predator?"
"Come fight me, hatchling, then you will learn your place. I fear only one thing and you can not achieve that easily." She glanced back at Jericho, and grinned wider. "Besides, I've been itching all week for a bite of your kind again... It's like eating a fellow hollow but sweeter... So much sweeter when they cry for undeserved mercy and a painless death..."
"You seem unimpressed by Kisharo's shikai... understandable, a Shinigami's shikai is a very common capability that we have. However, we do have something greater, something that only the most powerful shinigami possess.... Bankai. Do you fear that, perhaps? I'm sure you do. What's to say that one of my allies, or even myself, already possess it?" Daisetsu said, then looking at the little girl.
"The little one... Calma, correct? You call us hatchlings. Cute, that you would use terminology from a bird's point of view, seeing as you creatures are so thoroughly convinced you are the animal you portray. Well, let me tell you something, bird, creatures in the animal kingdom are capable of survival from the moment they are born. A fully grown bird is just as capable of survival as a newly born chick. So calling me a hatchling does little to worry me. If you believe you are 'older' than me, than you naturally believe you are superior," Daisetsu continued, pacing back and forth slightly.
"Alas, I am rambling. My reasoning for my confidence is simple. You are a bird of the sky, correct? You and I are similar. We are both beings of the sky. While you are a visitor, however, I am a natural force, lightning from the heavens. And I will clip your wings, little bird," Daisetsu said, smirking. He held his sword out to his side, pointing it forward. "Spark... Kaminari!" Upon calling the release command, his zanpakuto turned pure blue, morphing into a circular shape. When the light faded, Daisetsu was holding a sizable blue-grey chakram, the handle black with gold trim. Its size was roughly the size of a large buckler shield, much larger than the sword it once was. He tossed it in the air, letting it drop a bit before using his reiatsu to cause it to levitate beside him, electricity sometimes sparking from the blade.
"Come, little bird. Let's see how well a 'natural' Arrancar really fights."
"A natural force? The lightning that struck fear into the hearts of mortals? Bah, I fear not you." Her eyes slid closed, reminiscent of a familiar fox face. She grinned, her surprising sharp teeth showing. "But listening to your screams as I slowly eat at your Reiatsu.... That will be delicious..." She began to giggle lightly, her Reiatsu becoming a visible form, surrounding her in a unearthly greyish glow. It wasn't often her personality took this spin, often it was when she was excited and pissed at the same time.
"As for my fear... A Bankai? Not even a Gillian fears that. No... My fear is something you will never understand, never comprehend..." She rolled her shoulders and smiled somewhat tightly. "Now, shall we play a game? Loser forfeits their life!" Her hair grew longer, shifting around her. "No... That's too boring... Loser must leave with the winner to become their life servant... Yes, that will make this very fun..." She looked back at Jericho once more, remembering her reason of still fighting. "Jericho, please keep the other two away. I want to try out my newest skill set..." Here she was referring to her Resurrección, which she had just recently perfected. Now would be the best time to test it.
"We gotta go home now, before Ggio and the others rat like a bunch of weasels... I love that boy like a brother but seriously..." She opened her Garganta and walked them through. As they appeared in Hueco Mundo, she looked around. Her side of Las Noches was nearby. "Hey, I know you hate going inside but do you wanna come play with me in my room?" She asked, bouncing on her heels. She, like her beloved Cirucci, had a room she lived in, separate from the other Arrancar. But she never minded, the others often let her get away with running around the white castle, helping the Espada where they needed it.
Jericho listened to what Calma had to say as they entered the Garganta. Calma was much closer to the other Arrancar than he was. The only ones besides Calma that tolerated Jericho would be Starrk and, on the few occasions they had spoken, Ulqiorra. Personally, he found Ggio to be a self-centered, brown nosing, arrogant sycophant. Though deep down, he was a very loyal person and had a set of values that he lived his life by, which Jericho could respect. "Hey, I know you hate going inside but do you wanna come play with me in my room?" Jericho was caught off guard by the question. It was true, Jericho hated to go inside of the Prison that was Las Noches. That Fox Faced Shinigami had told him it was only a matter of time before he either served Aizen, or was killed. He hated tempting any of his brothers and sisters the possibility of attempting to kill him to please their new master. Though, according to the blind one, Aizen was keen on recruiting Jericho for something.....special. JEricho had said he would think about it. The blind one responded with "Take your time, it is not a factor.......yet." Still, their day had been ruined and he would like to spend more time with Calma. "Well.....sure. I guess our day out was ruined. Lead the way." He stated with his usual tone.
As they walked, he kept eyeing her and the teddy bear that shinigami gave her. He finally decided to speak up. "You know......Calma. I was surprised at your decision earlier. With all of the other Arrancars preparing for against the Soul Society, I was afraid you would fight them, but you didn't. They offered peace, and you accepted it. if more of us could be like you and that Sjinigami, I'm sure the afterlife would be a better place for everybody. I guess what I'm trying to say is.........I'm proud of you. Whatever that's worth." He said with a light tone to her. He then put his hands back in his pocket and gained his usual slouched position and sort of just looked at the ground. Jericho knew Calma thought of him as a friend, but she had a lot of friends, so he wasn't sure how much he cared about his opinion. But.......Calma was really his only friend, so, whenever he said something like that to her, it meant a lot to him. He hoped she could see that.
She landed on a large pillar sticking out of water. She looked around at her room. Water covered the floor, deep and dark. A whirlpool sat on one side and rocky cliffs sat on the other. She remembered a visit to the human world and picking up a book, the Odyssey by a human named Homer. She remembered seeing him as a Hollow. She wondered what had become of him now before she whistled softly.
Two roars answered her as her two pet hollows appeared, one popping out from his home in the whirlpool, the other molded from the cliffs. "Both of you, this is my beloved Crow, Jericho!" She said, getting two more responding roars. The one in the cliff, a large dragon-like hollow, bowed. "This lovely lady is Scylla." The whirlpool hollow, a turtle looking hollow tilted his head. "And this handsome man is Charybdis! They're my pets, I found them in Hueco Mundo, nearly suffocating from lack of water! Aren't they adorable!?" She cooed at them lovingly.
Anochecer slipped into an alley and broke out of his gigai, snatching the pill out of the air and sticking it inside his robes before he fly off towards the source of the disturbance. When he got there, he stayed high in the air, keeping his spiritual pressure down to avoid drawing attention. As he expected, Jericho and Calma were facing down three shinigami. From the looks of them, only students. He waited for the bloodbath to begin but was disappointed when Calma failed to even put up a fight. The entire situation defused by a teddy bear. As the stepped through the Garganta, Ano clenched his jaw tight, his hands shaking. "If they can't even appreciate such good fortune..." he muttered under his breathe. Without a second though, he used sonído to appear directly behind the grey haired one, apparently distracted by the presence of a low rank hollow. Ano quickly pulled one of his hands out of his pocket and struck at the shinigami's head with the back of his hand. If it made contact, it'd surely knock him off his feet and send his flying.
If anything, was never looked for a fight unless it was brought to her and she had no chose, or, in the case where she thought that was going to be thrown out the window, protect those who hadn't done a thing to provoke anyone. She pulled out her Kanabo, looking for the Arrancar and any sign of where he had run off to. "I swear, the only thing that makes this man loose it is the promise of a fight..." She said to herself as she wandered into the carnival and looked around.
She spotted Ano before she felt his spiritual pressure and grabbed the hilt of her own Kanabo. "Even if it means cutting down innocents." She muttered to herself as she wandered over. "What do you think you're doing? Scaring students while on their day for fun?" she said coldly. She didn't tolerate anyone attacking people for no reason, Shinigami or Arrancar alike, sure hollows didn't know any better since they didn't have really any intellegence, but there was the rare few; however there was some that she really couldn't stand like the army of arrancar that had been enslaved by Aizen's honeyed words.
"What orders were you given to attack innocents? huh? Students from the soul society shouldn't even be good pray for you anyway." She leaned on the hilt of her weapon and looked back at the Shinigami-in-training, "You guys alright?" She asked quickly, knowing for getting in Anochecer's way could possibly get her hurt.
"Alright... what's going on here, now... We go on a nice stroll through the desert, and now there's a bunch of arrancar attacking us. Who are you two, and what is your purpose here?" Daisetsu asked, with a demanding tone in his voice. He didn't care if the male thought himself superior, he would keep a confident tone in his voice. He looked to the female. "And what is your purpose? You seem different, arrancar. You dress like a shinigami, and show the caution of one as well," he said, trying to get on her good side, for whatever that was worth.
