Deep within the tainted streets of Las Vegas lies many dark and dirty secrets...Someone who wishes to hide could easily do so here, and so they do...Vampires, who have long existed, come here to blend in and to survive off the many humans in which inhabit the area. But it isn't as the stories foretell. Most all humans believe that every vampire is the same, if they believe in them at all. But truthfully, there are many different types, all holding different abilities....And the first type, is the Mortal vampire. Since the beginning of time, there have always existed mortals whom have had an obsession with blood drinking for whatever reasons. Some portray themselves as real vampires, some use blood drinking as an excitement or as a sexual enhancement. Some may even be from a particular disease which often causes insanity. This disease is often referred to as "Renfield's Syndrome" which is also as you guessed, a character from Dracula who is a Zoophagous, meaning a "life-eater."

Mortal blood drinking is quite a big occurrence now. There has become quite a big community for this sort of thing. Most blood drinkers advertise for blood donors while some purchase the blood from blood banks. Blood bank purchasing is only allowed in some states however and as an added benefit, the blood is thoroughly tested to ensure safety from any sort of known impurities but the threat of lawful repercussion still doesn't deter some of the more seedier bars and clubs from selling blood bags from over the counter to customers with enough money.

But those aren't the real threat; those petty humans who only dream of being a vampire...It's the ones who actually hold the dark curse...These, are the Immortal Blood Drinkers...

Image
Although there is over thirty six different kinds, I will be naming only five of the most common ones.

Image

Homo Vampyrus Chiroptera:

These vampires are the rarest of the vampires because they are the "bat" vampires. They are largely found Africa, New Zealand and South America. Most of their population are concentrated in China and India.

These vampires appear to be very human other then a slightly pointy pair of ears and sometimes with a lantern jaw and in some extreme cases flat, bat like noses. They socially mix well with humans but hate to be around crowds so often lead solitary lives normally taking up professions like librarians or morticians. These are the most sensitive to sunlight, they experience blisters and pain as soon as their skin makes any kind of contact of UV light with serious injuries or even death following up if contact isn't broken. They are the only vampires capable of the shape shifting feature and can even change into vampire bats. They are able to do this by certain factors such as racial origin, length of time as a vampire and even the right food. Despite their shape-shifting their other natural abilities are only just above par than the healthiest of humans meaning they unfortunately are the weakest in physical prowess of all vampires; a little known fact that the other genuses never let them forget.

In terms of feeding habit they are more likely to visit blood banks or even use the perks of their jobs to avoid having to enter crowds but very few individuals would ever pass by an easy meal if it ever presented itself.

Homo Vampyrus Draco:

This is the most well known of the types. Made famous by Bram Stroker, they are very similar to the Count himself. They are well documented world wide. They are everywhere with the majority in places like North America, Britain and Western Europe.

They are extremely human in appearance except for their retractable canine teeth in their upper jaws that are hardly noticeable and usual pale skin. They have medium to poor tolerance to sunlight and will perish in a few of hours of direct sunlight but certain supplements can help to prolong exposure such as sun block. They are very social with humans and often take jobs that are seen as highly sociable like bartenders, card sharks, waiters etc but more than a few have made it big in the politician games. While their bodily prowess is much better than that of the Chiroptera and the Nosferatu, their main strength comes from their speed; being the fastest of all known vampires they can often seem like they are simply teleporting from spot to spot if they really tried.

Being more charming than others they often gain there blood through willing donors who think that they are mortal blood drinkers. Some do pleasure in taking blood by force due to the fear factor and the release of adrenaline and very few haven't at one stage of their life been an active hunter.

Homo Vampyrus Perturbato

This genus of vampire is often mistaken for it's close cousin Vampyrus Draco due to their similar appearance because of this problem no one really knows where the vast majority of them resides.

As stated before this particular breed of vampire looks very similar to the Dracos and therefore humans but with three exceptions: they posses long none retractable canines which although usually stay hidden by the lips are noticeable when they open their mouths, the iris of their eyes tend to be colours that are considered unnatural by human standard but usually turn a crimson colour like all the others when the thirst starts to kick in and lastly holding hand in hand with their eye colour the Perturbato have unnatural hair colour as well. Along with these few outward changes, the main change of these vampires are the psychological ones; from a few quirky traits all the way to schizophrenia every single Perturbato suffers from at least one condition. You would think that due to the unhinged minds of these vampires that they be social outcasts in the world of humanity but the truth is the complete opposite as they practically through themselves at this society much to the dismay of many vampires.

Being the only of the vampires to sense emotions they are the most charming of them all; capable of talking a miser out of their last coin and being able to plant their wishes in humans and weak minded vampires alike, it can be safe to say that they have no problems on hunts. Being only able to survive in sunlight for a little less than an hour they rely heavily on others for moving about in daytime.

Homo Vampyrus Nosferatu:

They are often referred to as the "deformed" vampires. They were given their name after the 1922 movie "Nosferatu." They are less common then the Wampyrus Draco but are surprisingly numerous.

Their change into a vampire is not an easy one. The individuals' immune system has fought the virus and the virus is forced to mutate in order to survive. The end result is a twisted and disfigured vampire and as such can be created by any of the more commonly found vampires. The struggle usually causes a high domed head that is bald with a visible network of livid veins; the face is long, thin, drawn, has deep creases; has sunken eyes; the ears are large and pointy or membranous; nose is upwards and revealing the nostrils; the hands have long tapered fingers often with an extra joint with sharp, discolored nails; stands with a hunch because to straighten their back causes extreme pain to their twisted spines and can cause a slipped disc or worse. All of these abnormalities are the reason why they are so anti-social with both humans and vampires a like with many taking up a living with jobs that require little to no face to face interaction and many if not all decide to work under a heavy vampiric influenced company.

Having to be opportunistic hunters they obtain blood through stealth from sleeping humans, small children or even from farm animals. They are everywhere with large concentrations in eastern Europe, Africa, The Caribbean and Japan. It has been speculated that the Chupacabras, Goat Suckers, are excessively deformed Nosferatu vampires.

Due to their struggles to turn they are moderately unaffected by sunlight and can tolerate it for an infinte amount time on a dull day but still cannot handle too much direct UV light. Because of their hideous appearance the need to avoid being seen by the human public has caused each individual to become a master of stealth and for reasons still unknown, even to themselves their sixth sense to detect other vampires is more advanced than most.

Image

Homo Vampyrus Sauria:

They are often known as the "reptile" and/or "lizard" vampire as a degretory term. They get these names because they possess teeth that are all sharply pointed and resemble those of large lizards.

They are the second most social, but don't always have what many would call "social skills", of the four main types and are able to withstand extended periods of sun like the Nosferatus but for greater periods of time even in direct sunlight. With the exception of their teeth and ghostly pale skin they are very human in appearance. They tend to be very pragmatic and goal driven causing many to become business men who have amassed a great deal of wealth through their long lifetime. However they are extremely susceptible to depression and most commonly the victims of suicide.

They are rare in Europe but are common in North America, Central America, South America and Australia with a great concentration in China, Japan and certain parts of the former USSR.

Due to their extreme fondness for being social, you might think that they are the most considerate feeders, wrong. They are the most brutal of all. They will often rip large pieces of flesh from the victim, usually from the thigh, upper arm or throat. They will devour the flesh and drink the blood from the gaping wound until the victim perishes. This rarely happens now. They take more often to buying blood or obtaining it from willing donors whom are cut with razors rather then teeth. Maybe because of this animalistic feeding habit or maybe due to some other factor they posses the greatest strength of the vampiric kind, being able to over power any through sheer force alone.

Image
Now to the blood suckers, humanity comes down under three sub-types.

Image
The "Blood Donators":
Having been given the nickname "Blood Donator" and countless others by the vampire genus they are more commonly known as humans. Having become the dominat species on Earth, counting in their billions, humanity as covered every continent with their achievements both ancient and new and besides from a select few allowed to know of the existence of the true world which appears after dark, the rest go about their lives in blissful ignorance.

Hunter:
Having learned that there are things that go bump in the night, many individuals decided that they would bump back and thus the hunters were born. Having no international government like the vampires do and for many of them having personal reasons for becoming one, hunters are often lone wolfs or work on tightly knit groups; though rumours have it that a large society of hunters is beginning to grow in both numbers and confidence, a rumour the leaders of vampiric society try to keep under control. With many hunters only knowing what they do from the stories they have read about most don't survive their first encounters and the ones that do usually have three options afterwards: they become one if the most feared humans, they realise how in over their heads they are and decide to quit or they simply die with their second attempt, the first having only been a fluke.

Ghouls:
Ghouls to put it simply, are humans that contain a minuscule amount of blood of the master or mistress they serve due to many vampires being unable to socialise during the day, the need of humans subordinates became a necessity for those vampires who owned their own company. Having vampiric blood in their bodies no matter how small their bodies take on certain physical and psychological features of what ever sub species their master is with also the strengths of them as well to some extent and must ingest both blood and normal food to stay healthy. Once made a ghoul many are never changed any further due to the larger risk of becoming a Nosferatu but depending on their servator many must make frequent blood donations to keep on their good side.

Of all these vampires (and humans), they have gathered in groups of their own kind. There has been anger and fighting amongst the different types of vampires, and blood is being shed through the streets of Las Vegas, after years of silence from them...What will occur when the vampires begin a full fledged war?...Will the humans be able to stay safe? Stay out of the way? Or will they get caught up in the terror? Only time will tell...

Unfortunately; because I find RolePlays with a large amount of characters to be somewhat difficult to keep track of each individual, I decided to only have limited amount of each type of vampire and the hunters. To pick a role either send me or xfaithyx123 a private message or send a message on the OOC and word of warning I will know if you haven't at least skimmed over the rules or not so don't think you can pull a fast one on me like that.

1.) xfaithyx123 and I are the bosses around here, what we say goes but we don't bite so ask us questions if you need any help.
2.) You are allowed to change up the character sheet, I may suck at making things pretty but you don't have too.
3.) Reservations last for 48 hours, so that's more than enough time to get your character finished. If you don't complete it within the 48 hours then you will be getting a PM from me or faith asking if you still want the place, if yes then you have another 12 hours to complete it or you lose your place. I will not accept WIPs.
4.) Romance is encouraged but as soon as it starts to get down and dirty, fade it to black.
5.) Obviously violence is allowed but use your common sense; no killing off characters without permission from the owner and no going on über killing sprees without expecting some serious and pretty drastic repercussions against the guilty character.
6.) I know the best of us get writers block every now and then, lord knows I have, but I will not allow one liners or dreadful grammar so let's please try to keep the posts at 300-400 at least.
7.) I don't really need to mention this but no god modding/Gary/Mary Stus/Metagaming.
8.) The personality of each character is not set in stone, people change through time as they grow as a person, so can your characters.
9.) I know we all have lives outside of this site, shuch said life is one of the reasons why I RP, so I can understand if things pop up which we can't control but let's at least make ther effort to post every other day. If you're going to go underground for a while let one of us GMs know so we can sort something out.
10.) I know there was a lot of rules so thank you for taking the time to read them. To let me know that you've read them place your character's favourite blood type if a vamp or chocolate for a human down somewhere in the character sheet.

At the sight of the grief stricken boy, the vampires features softened; he had forgotten that even though he had hardened somewhat to the carnage and sorrow of losing a loved one, he was only a boy after all and had not yet learned to deal with such tragedies. "Listen there was nothing you could have done," he placed a hand gingerly on the injured ghoul's shoulder, "if anyone is to blame here it's me, I was suppose to be your back-up but I got held up in other matters." He looked around at his surroundings, and although he wouldn't say it out loud, deep down he was glad he had been late otherwise he would have ended up being nothing more than scattered ash in a sea side breeze just as Petrov and Shiro. Having taken in enough bloodshed for the night he turned his gaze back to Kaito a slight smile on his face. "As to what you should do, the only sensible thing now would be for you to rest up for the night to allow your body to heal up."

He withdrew his hand from the boys shoulder replacing it with his jacket and as gently as he could, wrapped one of the boys arms around his shoulders and lifted him onto his feet. "We can't take you to any hospital that's for use, they'd ask too many questions," He started to half carry have support the ghoul as he made his way to their destination, "so I'll take you to my place, it's the least I can do given the gravity off the incident tonight." It didn't take as long as the vampire had expected it would, dawn was still a couple of hours away and with only a few glances from the odd passerby, their journey went without a hitch and they soon arrived their destination; one of the lesser known hotels in the city of sin but still it had everything a paying customer would need.

The lobby was dead besides from one of the staff at the front desk but with one look from Carth, she stemmed all questions he might have had about the bleeding boy, who ever payed for the former Legionaires room also payed her salaries and she knew better than to overstep it. They entered the elevator and were in Carth's room in moments. He allowed the boy to support himself now that they were in the comfort of the vampires home, waving a hand around to illustrate the condo more, the one eyed male spoke up. "It may not be as fancy as what you were use to with Shiro but it gets the job done." He chuckled heartily before pointing at a room then the one adjacent to it. "The first one is my room, you can bunk down in the spare bedroom next to it and besides that I make a terrible housemaid so just help yourself to anything you need." With the rather vague orientation done, he waved the ghoul goodnight and went into his bedroom; throwing off his clothes in a messy heap as soon as he entered, letting his hair down and removing his eyepatch and simply collapsed into bed already in a deal slumber.

A new evening began with the sounding of his custom alarm going off and despite the rather busy night before, he was feeling particularly good. He popped into the shower, washing away all the grime and weariness that still remained and was out and dry again in a matter of minutes, his hair on the other hand was a matter of simply letting it air dry. Although his good feeling was remaining intact he suddenly notice a rather burning urge in the back of his throat and after looking into the mirror, his one crimson orb confirming that he was in fact thirsty, must be because of the ghoul last night. It was a much more simpler to solve than the problem he had now with what to do with the grieving ghoul but it was too early in the evening for such matter as for the moment the only thought he cared about was quenching the steadily growing burn in his throat.

He left his room and head straight for the freezer, plucking out a bag of A negative blood and drained it there and then not being in the mood to pour it into a cocktail. He tossed the empty container onto the counter without a second thought but as he made his way back to his room to dress, his sense of modesty returning as he remembered he was a host but on his way he noticed that the empty blood bag had landed next to a small envelope. His curiosity getting the better of him, he opened it and revealed three invitations, all of them inviting the holders to a charity masquerade ball held at the Ivory Tower, the ball, its today?, He had been asked by Petrov to obtain one for his master, his son and himself after which the recently deceased vampire had asked his underling to keep hold of them till the day. With him and his son gone, Carth had two spare invitations to get rid of. "Che un pezzo di mercs fortuna ho!" He cursed casually.

He returned to his room and began to pillag his closets trying to find clothing that would remotely be appropriate for such an occasion and with his luck turning around he managed to scavenge up a tuxedo. It was outdated by a decade or two or maybe three but it was slim fitting and stylish and that was all that seemed to matter in these gatherings, he was even able to find a rather more elegantly designed eyepatch, something he must have picked up during his time with the Victorians, he never fully understood why these seemed so popular with the lords children but it suited him fine. Now that he was fully dressed, besides from his eyepatch, he decided to see if Kaito wouldn one along with him so that his mind would be distracted from the deaths of last night. After wasting an hour searching through every wardrobe he had in his bedroom, a fair few despite what people would think of the man, Carth succeeded in finding a suit that would fit the ghoul; why he had one in such a small size even he couodn't remember but that no longer mattered. He knocked on the guest door suit and invitations in hand and waited for the ghoul to answer with a broad smile on his lips.

"Scrub yourself up nice kid because we've got a ball to attend and hurry up we don't want to be too late in arriving or all the best liqueur will have gone!"

"Listen there was nothing you could have done," Carth placed his hand on Kaito's shoulder, causing the ghoul to wince. The vampire's touch was light, but Kaito's body hurt all over. Carth's words stung, they were true but that didn't make it hurt any less. "If anyone is to blame here it's me, I was suppose to be your back-up but I got held up in other matters." No, he would not allow this vampire to take on the blame. If he had been here during the battle he would be nothing more than a pile of ash, just like Kaito's master. "It's better that you came late." Kaito muttered, glad that he had at least showed up. If Carth hadn't come when he did Kaito surely would be dead from loss of blood. "As to what you should do, the only sensible thing now would be for you to rest up for the night to allow your body to heal up."

Yes that sounded like a good idea, healing. But where? Surely he couldn't go to a hospital and Carth seemed to confirm this fact, it was too suspicious and with injuries like these the local authorities would attempt to get involved and there was no way Kaito could tell them what happened; one because it wasn't believable and two because he wasn't quite sure what went down himself. Everything was still a blur, the only thing Kaito knew for certain was that Shiro and Petrov were dead and Carth, one of Petrov's associates was standing before him. "so I'll take you to my place, it's the least I can do given the gravity off the incident tonight." Kaito looked up quickly, attempting to suppress the grimace of pain that was trying to snake its way onto his face. "Really?" He asked incredulously, wondering why this vampire who didn't know him and had no relation to him would offer to allow Kaito to heal in his home.

The vampire placed his jacket around Kaito's shoulders and assisted him to his feet. Kaito attempted to walk as much as he could, limping with one dead leg dragging behind him as Carth half dragged him towards their destination. The town was mercifully empty and the lobby of the building they entered contained only the receptionist who seemed to know better then to ask any questions. Soon enough they were in Carth's apartment and the vampire allowed Kaito to walk on his own. He still felt weak but regardless managed to support himself as Carth pointed out the guest room. "Thank you, I really appreciate it." Kaito said and handed the man his coat back before limping to the door and entering the space. He closed the door, not wanting the vampire to see how truly pathetic he was and struggled to remove his shoes, pain inclining up his leg whenever he moved it a bit. Kaito's left leg was still dead aside from the little shocks of pain running through the limb that startled him and delayed his attempting to shimmy out of his dirty clothes. Kaito settled on simply removing his shirt and further inspected his wounds in the mirror.

They were slow to close, but they were healing. It was a relief, but also terrifying to know that he had this sort of ability. Feeling drained Kaito collapsed in bed and curled onto his side on top of the covers, tears pricking his eyes once more as a sob was quietly ripped from his throat. "It's all my fault, if only I had been stronger," he whispered through tears before falling asleep.

It had taken years of sleeping through the day and taking pills so that his body would become acclimated to the backwards habits of vampires. Waking up during the evening came easily now so when Carth knocked on the door Kaito was already rising. He stumbled to the entryway and opened it up, discovering the vampire was holding up a tuxedo and two invitations. "Scrub yourself up nice kid because we've got a ball to attend and hurry up we don't want to be too late in arriving or all the best liqueur will have gone!"

"Um, alright." He managed, taking the suit from Carth, a bit dumbfounded by the sudden turn in events. He placed the tuxedo on the bed and closed the door, going to the bathroom and turning on the shower. Kaito stripped himself of his pants and boxers, stepping under the hot stream and watching the blood and dirt splash onto the tile and slither down the drain. The feeling in his leg had finally returned, but it seems that not all of his wounds had healed. Kaito's right arm was almost completely numb, he could lift it a little and wiggle his fingers around but attempting to hold the soap or shampoo bottle resulted in it slipping out and clattering to the floor. He grit his teeth, determined to not allow this development to get in his way and stepped out of the shower squeaky clean.

He had no spare underwear and so Kaito put his boxers back on and returned to the room, putting the tuxedo on and wondering where Carth had obtained such a suit and why he had it in Kaito's size. Perhaps it was borrowed? No, considering the style and amount of lint clinging to the garment it had been in storage for quite sometime. He looked in the mirror and carefully did the bow tie, then ran his fingers through his hair (or at least the working ones) in an attempt to look presentable. Kaito looked around for his shoes and discovered that they had been replaced by a pair of fancy black loafers. Was this Carth's doing? He wondered and stuck his feet in them before exiting the space.

"I'm ready, thank you for the clothing." He said as he entered the main room of the apartment. His stomach growled, but Kaito ignored it. He would eat at the ball, there was no need to further inconvenience Carth.

Iven was up and ready, rather excited for a change for work tonight. The ball was something he hadn't ever gotten the chance to attend growing up, he was either too lower class or poor, perhaps he didn't look very neat and tidy in the past but now that he was a well paid, professional, wanted bartender, life was easy and fun. Sure he enjoyed his main job of hunting on the side but it got a bit boring some times, the same old oh please don't kill me! and I swear I won't do it again! crap did get tiring; when would they learn that Hunters show no mercy? It was pretty amusing to give them hope sometimes before finally ending them, at least they died with a such a helpless expression.

Anyway, aside all that, he was dressed in his usual work clothing, he didn't have anything fancy picked out for the ball unfortunately, just the usual black bartender attire. He was told he would be given a specific waistcoat to wear but he hadn't received it yet, perhaps he would get it when he got there? Unsure, he kept the current waistcoat on and would simply replace it if he was given one. Iven smelled lightly of cinnamon and vanilla from the body wash he had used in the shower, aftershave, and mocha scented deodorant, he rather smelled like some sort of milkshake or something really. It was a nice change from the sweaty, wet clothed, dirt smell he seemed to carry after hunting. His hair had been combed because well, it is fairly long, and put back into a ponytail. He was so very tempted to actually wear his Hunter mask to the Masquerade ball, just waltz in like 'hey Vampires! Wazaaap! I'm going to kill every single one of you some day.' And then die a stylish death. As funny as it seemed in his head, he decided to stick with the plain, silver mask that most of the other staff would have.
Standing in front of the body length mirror, he turned and shifted himself, looking at himself from every angle before adjusting his vest with a grin. "I look hot." Iven started laughing at how he just sounded before sniffing himself and nodding "I know for certain I smell great though." Yep, he was ready. "Oh! Almost forgot!" Before he was about to leave, he placed his infamous, small knives in his pockets and strapped a much more lethal and larger one to his torso under his shirt, fixed himself up again then left the building. He had a bit of an obsession with his knives.

Once Iven arrived, showing ID and what not, proving he was staff, he entered the most breath taking building and walked towards the other staff were with a friendly smile and a short wave. Shortly after a female came rushing towards them with what seemed to be their waistcoats before running off again. "Whoa okay then." Iven said surprised as he took his piece of clothing "holy crap she's fast." He changed quickly into the waistcoat before finally starting to help prepare for the guests and put a lot of work into making sure the bar where drinks would be served looked its best, his place of expertise. "I already know this is going to be an amazing night."

Anais couldn't help but sigh heavily as Alan told her she didn't need to hurry too much. Her reply would reach Alan as a muffled yell, as she hurried around the Ivory Tower. "Yes, it matters! I haven't got anything ready!" The sound of feet pattering around the halls would reach Alan as she hurried around downstairs.

Later on, when Anais had returned and joined Alan on the sofa, blushing a soft pink that blended with the very slight blush on her cheeks. "You need to stop complimenting me! You keep making me blush." She complained. "You know I hate it when I'm seen as the 'damsel in distress'." She muttered, a mischievous smile on her lips. She hoped Alan would realize she was joking.

He soon began talking about the jobs that he needed to do, and Anais scowled. "Hey, I thought I was supposed to be the host too." She suppressed the urge to stick her tongue out at him and slid into the elevator with him as he walked in. She looked miniscule next to the giant of a man, and didn't say much as the elevator slowly lowered the pair to one of the lower floors. The elevator doors slid open slowly, and a delicious scent similar to the one she had smelled last night in the club hit her nose. Had one of the waiters or waitresses hurt themselves? She was about to try and see if anyone had hurt themselves, but then she heard voices coming from a little way away. A female and a male. As the scent of blood was getting stronger, she worried about Alan and his bloodlust, before she decided that it was time for her to do something for someone else. She could handle this.

"I'll deal with this. Go and meet Alesso, I'll be along right away." She smiled up at the giant before heading off down the corridor, toward the voices. It wasn't very far, and the metallic smell hit her nose even more with each step. Luckily the servants were still mostly human. She could only see the figures in the dark as she headed out, but she weaved around the guard and had to stifle a gasp. A girl with the most amazing white-blonde hair was standing almost completely naked out in the cold, blood dripping down her leg from an almost perfectly round wound on her leg that Anais recognized as a bullet wound. She'd only heard her mutter the words that she wanted to see Alan from a distance, but now she could see why. She scowled at the butler and sent him away with a quick wave of her hand. She was glad that they respected her as much as Alan or Alesso, but she wouldn't be recognized by this stranger at the door. "Forgive me for the rude door answer, but I really doubt he has any dignity." She sighed. "I'm Anais, by the way. I am - um, I mean work with Alan and Alesso. I've got some clothes upstairs, if you like. We can get you dressed before we treat those wounds. We look about the same size, I'm sure I've got something to fit." She smiled warmly at the young girl, before offering a hand to her. If she didn't trust Anais, that was fine. She would go get Alan. She just hoped that she was being kind and courteous, like Stefan had always taught her to be. She just wanted to be the best she could be. She hoped she was doing exactly that for the young girl in front of her. "What's your name?"

Alan smiled away in the elevator as Anais' confidence to question him before slipping into the elevator with him. ''Of course you are a hostess as well. Thank you for the reminder.'' He looked at her and winked playfully before the elevator doors opened and instantly the scent of blood claimed his nose. Batting white lashes he frowned as he stepped out of the elevator. He smiled at Anais as she announced she would deal with the bleeder. But there was something familiar about it... nagging at him in the most uncomfortable way... Recognition. He watched Anais walk off to the entrance to the ball and a particularly light blonde haired woman came to his amberish sight. While Anais spoke to this woman, he slowly made his way over, the closer he got, the stronger the scent of blood, indicating a dire wound to him which raised his concerns and then, as he was behind Anais, he instantly knew who the woman was. So as Anais introduced herself to the woman then asked her name, he spoke up, coming from behind Anais and standing by her side as he spoke, looking down at the woman like he did everyone. ''This fair skinned and haired woman is Neptune Amaterasu. She is the ghoul of Enoch Hendriks... For a number of years too. He is another Homo Vampyrus Perturbato.'' He looked at Anais then. ''Like William. I am one of the few that house and care for these vampire kinds. I am a universal contact for all vampiric kinds... Renowned for it as you know.''

He looked back to Neptune, her scruffy appearance she would never pride herself on nor come out the door with, having spoken to her a few times before. The cuts, scratches and finally the bullet wound at her leg. ''Anais. Attend to her wounds first.'' Then he looked at her. ''It seems you have gained yourself a friend. She will be staying with us now. Please make sure she is cleaned up and dressed for the ball.'' He looked at Neptune, bowing his head. ''I must apologize Neptune, but I have to attend to the ball. Of course you are welcome here and I hope our home will be good for you. Anais will show you around and get you ready. After the ball, we can discuss it all in detail. I promise. But for now, you must get attended to, I would hate your wounds to become septic or for some of my staff and guests to get a bit hungry...'' He smiled, but only briefly. ''See you later you two.'' He then walked off to go and help Alesso.

Alesso was busy getting all the details up, like the lights, dance routines, crystal hanging crystals up on the large central piece of the cloudy crystallized tree with lights over it and the crystals. Getting the dancing silk hung up for the dancers and the poles. The casino games up and the food going for the snacks and drinks at the bar ready for opening as well as the stage lights for the performances. He was stressing over the remaining bartender, and requested one too, Iven Breton being late. But once he saw him and one of his helpers give him the right black and purple waistcoat with silver threading and buttons he smiled away, showing his teeth doing so. He practically danced over to the young man with his clipboard and pen in hand. ''Ooh thank the heavens and so forth~! I have been waiting for you.'' He looked at the man, checking that the waistcoat fitted him perfectly, which he did, sighing in relief before speaking further to Iven. ''I must thank you for working for us tonight again Iven. You have the best customer recommended rating and I just had to get you for myself!'' He giggled away before walking him to the large on display bar. ''You will be working along Odette. I hope you and her will get on well~'' Then he saw Alan come his way and smiled away. ''Oh~ Here is the Host of this annual event. Alan White. This is Iven Breton~'' He smiled away, looking very excited... The he smelt Alan... then Iven and blinked. ''You... know eachother...?''

Alan looked at Iven, instantly pulling at his collar to loosen his tie and looked away for a moment as his cheeks darkened slightly and he had to look away from a smile trying to surface. ''We have... passed each other in the street and his workplace.'' He instantly turned to look at Alesso, his amberish hues looking at Iven briefly once he calmed down, one hand at his side and the other playing with his pocket watch in his blazer front pocket. ''I didn't know you hired him. But then again, he is highly reviewed..'' Alesso smirked at Alan as he reacted instantly to Iven's presence in a such out of character way, meaning all his flustered actions and shyness. ''Well, I didn't know you actually looked up on sites that recommended things, Alan~ Nice to see you do some homework though... But then again, you always were good at researching and keeping names, dates and details in your mind for long periods of time.'' He chuckled away before looking at Iven. ''That is why I always give him numbers and list things to remember when we are out looking at new things for our Casino and Hotel.'' Alan cleared his throat and looked away again, calming himself before looking over to the pair of them. ''Well, I do need to keep up with everything otherwise I wouldn't be a...'' He looked directly into Iven's eyes. ''Good host.'' He then looked over to Alesso. ''Would I now?'' Alesso nodded happily in agreement. ''Completely true~ I am so glad one of us have a good memory.'' He hummed as he tapped his foot to the song in the background being set up.

As Iven was approaching the bar, he checked his watch briefly to see it was an hour behind from what the clocks at home had read. At this point he had no idea what the real time was, but if his wrist watch was correct then he was indeed late. He simply frowned at the watch with a puzzled expression until he heard a voice clearly directed towards him. He looked up to see a rather cheerful man, for some reason he had forgotten the name of which was rather terrible of him. The words that came from his mouth however made it clear he was the one that had hired him. "I certainly hope you weren't waiting too long for me, I apologise." Iven smiled a most charming smile that seemed to make others feel more comfortable around him, but it was almost too alluring, perhaps he should work on that, not looking so devious. But being devious was so perfectly part of his nature it was hard to hide the little horrors that he planned in his mind. "Haha! You are most welcome, wow am I really that recommended? I'm flattered. I will have to live up to those expectations then." Iven of course knew he was rather popular as a bartender but he hadn't really thought that others would recommend him, he actually felt rather proud of that fact. He chuckled shortly after he had finished his sentence, Alesso so far seemed just as charming as himself though, but of course Iven knew this man was more than likely, a Vampire or something else he felt the need to murder. He would take no action for a long time though of course, he knew nothing about him. Iven wasn't stupid.

The Hunter followed Alesso as he lead him to where he would be working, he was rather glad he'd have someone to help him behind the bar, the place look very extravagant and a bit more overwhelming from what he was used to. It was certain the bar would be very busy tonight. "Ah wonderful! I look forward to working with her." He commented. Shortly after, that was when Alan caught his eye as he approached them, he wasn't hard to spot, especially looking that fine. Iven concentrate. He could already feel himself losing his usual composed, cool and charming demeanor, god damn he hated feeling so embarrassed, he hadn't felt like this before. And just seeing Alan get all flustered and struggle to make eye contact Oh my god he's so cute. Iven was drowning here. Pull yourself together dammit! Act natural. At least he knew for certain now that Alesso was obviously not Human to be able to tell that they knew each other from smell it seemed. The way Alan explained how they knew each other though made it hard for him not to laugh, instead a wide grin formed on his face, he was really happy but it was clear Alan didn't seem to want Alesso to know about, what they did. Didn't mean he couldn't have fun with it. "Aaah I see, yes Alan certainly seems like a very capable and intelligent man." He replied to Alesso. Yes it seemed Iven had collected himself now, his face didn't feel so, hot.

As soon as Alan spoke up once more however, the way he looked into his eyes, Iven didn't know how to feel, nervous perhaps?
"Hmm, and I am glad to have such an, attractive host." Iven said it openly with no shame as he looked Alan up and down, studying every detail of the man with such a promiscuous look in his eyes, undressing him with his stare. Iven was in a fairly cheeky mood now it seemed, he'd probably need to be a bit less careless though, he is supposed to be professional. He decided to quickly change the subject, he could image Alan burning him with his glare at this point. "I love what you've done with the place, it looks amazing, I can see you put a lot of thought into this event." This was directed mainly towards Alesso to hopefully change what might be running through his mind at this point, but it was really a statement towards them both. Iven spoke as he attended to the bar, simply getting comfortable and familiar with where everything was. Iven was the type who enjoyed doing little tricks here and there with the drinks and glasses and what not to entertain the guests. He was very skilled with his hands after all, playing with those knives seemed to come in handy with the normal folk as he liked to call them. Back to the collected, charming Iven, with a welcoming smile, yes the night was definitely in his favour.

Alesso bowed to Iven and grinned with sharp teeth exposed. ''Why thank you. I see you hold Alan in great regard~ He certainly is very handsome~ Nothing screams exotic like him mm?'' He chuckled at Alan as he looked away with a sigh. He then cooed, arming his arms around Alan's shoulders and hanging off him, almost choking him as he swung back and forth... into him. Which was very... strange while his hands still held his clipboard. ''Aww~ Getting embarrassed~? You never could take a compliment~'' He continued to swing on the man and then he nipped his ear and licked his neck. Alan's white eyebrow twitched and he closed his eyes and he sighed more. Alesso even pushing it as he kissed and licked his neck.

Alan tilted his head in attempt to see him stop but he didn't... of course. He was used to it though. So he didn't freak out but he did speak up. ''Alesso.'' Alesso continued to swing, lick and kiss him but spoke between it. ''Yes~?'' Alan quite calmly fixed his tie as he spoke. ''If you don't get off me, I will so smoothly remove you from me back and punch you in the face if you don't get off me.'' Alesso sighed and whined before hopping off the man with a cheeky nip of his neck which made him look at the man with a flare of red in his eyes and Alesso just giggled away. He then cleared his throat and spoke to Iven again. ''But in truth, the crystallized things in here are all Alan's designs. He loves Crystals. So much that he would have up hang over 200 crystals on the crystallized tree in the centre of the room... one by one.'' Alan actually looked away, grinning away for a moment before turning back with a serious expression, hands behind his back as he stood regally. ''I only asked for a few... you just.. went overboard on your own. But it is very nicely executed.'' He showed a smile for a brief moment, warm and bright with pearly whites.

Alesso nodded before sighing. ''Ah yes... you might be right about that on~'' He then bowed his head to Iven. ''Thank you again, Iven~'' He then turned away and started to walk away, not without whipping Alan's backside with his tail, smirking away before he went serious and got back to the last details of the night to be done before opening their doors. Alan looked at the man with a deadpan look on his face, mumbling to himself. ''Did he just do that? He did... Just.. nevermind.'' He looked back to Iven a bit flustered by all the attention he got from Alesso there and it being shown so publicly in front of Iven.. Of all people... He calmed and slowly began to talk. ''He always does that. Apart from his tail. I apologize that you had to... see that.'' He looked away again, hand over the side of his face to hide his flustered expression. Once he calmed again he turned back to Iven but had nothing to say. He looked to the side before slowly bending his face close to his and he kissed his cheek and his thumb caressed his opposite cheek. Then he straightened up and began to walk away to attend to the servers of the food, discussing how it should be done and went the food should change its courses.

Iven couldn't help but frown at those sharp teeth that were so causally and confidently flashed when the man grinned. It was rather irritating. Made him wish he could hurry up and kill him. But it wasn't the first time he had to fake his happiness in front of others, being a bartender you did get many annoying customers that needed a good kick up the ass. But nonetheless he had to put up with it. Iven was good a being patient, his main job as a Hunter was all about patience. Although he was pleased with seeing Alan get all embarrassed, he most certainly was not happy with seeing another get all touchy with Alan. Iven couldn't deny he was feeling rather over protective right now as he gritted his teeth, mouth shut and his face blank as his eyes were coldly glaring at what he'd call, his boss. He was almost unaware of the looks he was giving someone he should be respecting, what was he doing? This was probably the only time Iven found it hard to stay calm and patient, but how dare he... Iven's thoughts were running to dark places until.

Alesso? Did he say Alesso? So that's his name. Wait, it sounded awfully familiar. Yes Iven remembered, it was written on a note the last time he was well, at Alan's place. The note he was not really happy with. God now he despised him even more. When Alan finally told Alesso to get off him, Iven did calm down, his voice rather soothing to hear. Iven hated how much his feelings contradicted everything he had believed in, it was so confusing and annoying.

Ah that's right the Crystals. Iven's smile returned as soon as Alesso's attention moved back to him. "Crystals huh?" Iven muttered to himself as he studied them, no doubt they were real, proper crystals too, such detail obviously would have cost a lot. But it was clear the place had no problem with money. Seeing Alan smile made him smile. Even though every time Alesso seemed to talk it was like nails on a chalk board and his smile would falter slightly, he still managed to stay professional as he remained fiddling with a few things around the bar to keep his mind off it.

Ah finally it seemed Alesso would be on his way. Iven also bowed his head slightly as Alesso did "you are most welcome. I hope to be doing business with you again soon." A genuine smile on his face now, simply because he was gone, and Alan had not left with him. Wait was that a tail he just saw? His eyes squinted slightly with a bit of a frown as he tried to decide whether or not he saw what he thought he saw. Seeing Alan's reaction it was clear he certainly did see what he thought he saw. Feeling a bit peeved at this point, he continued looking around the bar, checking the cups and drinks were good, pouting slightly as a bit of a frown remained on his face. He wasn't even looking at Alan, all he could think about was how annoyed he had gotten over Alesso, and he couldn't admit why. It was a bit silent for a moment, then Alan spoke up. "Mhm.. Sure.." Iven was acting quite bitter. "Wait what? ALL the time?" Did he just hear that right? Oh god now Iven was coming up with all sorts of nasty scenarios of Alan and Alesso that he really wanted to burn from his mind. After Iven replied to Alan he looked up finally to look at him only to see him closing in, then he felt his lips on his cheek. Iven simply blinked, rather surprised as his face suddenly grew red. And then he left. Iven was left there, watching him leave, as a big smile formed on his face, everything to do with Alesso simply faded and he was the only thing on his mind again as he returned to his bar duties with a genuine, smile on his face for once. But could Iven ever really admit what he was truly feeling?

Neptune was still arguing with the doorman when a woman dressed to the nines interrupted and spoke softly, her voice calm and her manner collected. She introduced herself as Anais and discussed the fact in a rather one sided conversation that Neptune's wounds needed to be treated before the guests pounced and drained Neptune like a juice box. She was about to reply with her need to see Alan when Mr.White himself came over with a spark of recognition in his eyes. ''This fair skinned and haired woman is Neptune Amaterasu. She is the ghoul of Enoch Hendriks... For a number of years too. He is another Homo Vampyrus Perturbato.'' It seems his memory was rather intact for someone his age.

''Like William. I am one of the few that house and care for these vampire kinds. I am a universal contact for all vampiric kinds... Renowned for it as you know.'' Neptune gave a half curtsy although she couldn't really pull it off without a skirt. "Yes and my Master and I are very appreciative for that fact Sir White. Speaking of which, do you know where Enoch might have run off to?" Neptune straightened and winced, shifting her weight so that it was all on the leg that wasn't wounded. She listened as Alan ordered his ghoul to treat her wounds then informed her of the new resident. Neptune stiffened, it was a kind offer but she needed to find her master. The ghoul did not plan on staying, she was simply looking for someone to point her in the right direction so that she may begin her search. Unless Alan knew what happened to her master and was withholding information?

''I must apologize Neptune, but I have to attend to the ball. Of course you are welcome here and I hope our home will be good for you. Anais will show you around and get you ready. After the ball, we can discuss it all in detail. I promise. But for now, you must get attended to, I would hate your wounds to become septic or for some of my staff and guests to get a bit hungry...'' Yes that could be problematic, she did not want to become one of his guests' midnight snack. Neptune looked at Anais as Alan walked away and gestured for her to lead, "I guess I am in your care now, please Ms. Anais lead the way."

Whilst the kid got himself ready Carth slipped back into his own room. With the aftermath of last night he wasn't going to take any chances with his life or that of the already emotionally scarred ghoul's with that in mind they were going to need to be armed even if it was a fully public event with high social ranking members of both the human and vampire worlds; Petrov's death was just another reminder that hunters or even rival vampires were willing to cause chaos even at the risk of exposing this dark secret, a secret which ensured a rather uneasy peace between the day and night. With the restrictions of his clothing in his mind, the vampire forego the shoulder hoslter he had currently used the previous night and opted for an ankle one large enough to hold his colt. 1911. He even was able to find a couple of spare magazines which were hidden in the pile of discarded clothes that still layon the floor.

With himself armed he felt somewhat at ease but a question popped into his head at a sudden realisation: what about the kid? Even if the mercenary was armed he couldn't promise that he would be able to keep himself protected and Kaito if they were to be separated, as they most likely would be as they mingled with the other guests but what would be suitable for him to use, the vampire had no knowledge on the ghouls previous self defence skills if he had any and whilst any fool could shoot a gun it took more than simply pointing the barrel at the general location of target and pulling the trigger to actually hit what you was intending to hit. With a heavy sigh he headed over to the bathroom or more specifically the mirrored cabinet, opening and snatching a fresh pack of his favourite cancer sticks in one clean movement before taking it fully off the wall to reveal a safe.

Despite having a sophisticated locking mechanism on the door, Carth rarely ever locked it simply closing it when it wasn't in use and opening the door when it was needed. Its contents revealed a variety of easily concealable weapons ranging from pocket knives to daggers and from simple one shot personal defence firearms to automatic pistols all ranging from modern to almost antiques. He was tempted in giving his guest one of his many blades but thought to himself that bringing a knife to a gunfight was a sure way to get oneself killed so his eye fell on a S&W 640 pro, one the more modern models, chambered in the slightly less powerful 38 special rounds. This was more of a knickknack than anything tactical based as any round lower than 50. Cal had rather controllable recoil for a vampire but as luck would have it, the 38 special would be more of a help for the presumably novice shooter than a hinderance.

After placing everything back, he loaded the small revolver and placed it on its safety feature, fitting it into a shoulder stock that would hopefully fit unde the tuxedo jacket that he had lent to Kaito, even going as far as to grab a couple of extra rounds, something which he admittedly found very scarce as he never had much use for them in the first place. With this now fully ready he waited once more for the ghoul to come out of his room, phoning a taxi as he did. "I'm ready, thank you for the clothing." His guest thanked as he entered the main room. "No problem but now you're ready," Carth commented handing over the gun, "Slip that piece of assicurazione under you jacket and you'll be ready to go." His phone began to ring and after finishing he answered it for a moment before heading to the front door. "If you ever decide you need to use just remember to squeeze the trigger first to take it off the safety before you point it to kill what ever it is you're trying to kill."

He smiled widely, he was in a rather pleasant mood despite the circumstances, even going as far as chuckling softly at the sound of the ghouls stomach growling. "Solo la morte si sa quante persone sono morte perché hanno lasciato la sicurezza, anyway let's hit the show kid, our taxi's waiting for us."

Kaito took the gun from Carth, wondering if he was really going to need such a weapon at a gala. Kaito had never been to a vampire gala before so things could very well turn bloody. The older vampire would probably know much better than the young ghoul and so Kaito did not argue, but put the gun under his jacket like Carth had instructed. "Will things get violent?" Kaito questioned Carth; if he was expecting a fight then was it really such a good idea to attend? Or perhaps Carth was expecting someone to attack on the way?

He knew how to use a gun, his father had taken him quite a few times to a shooting range in order to prepare the boy for his future. Kaito wasn't shabby, but he wasn't spectacular with the weapon either. Disappointingly average was most likely the correct term for his skill set.

Kaito followed Carth outside to the taxi he had spoken of. He got into the backseat and wondered if it was really alright for him to be going. After all Kaito hadn't been invited and taking someone else's invitation would be the same as crashing the party. Unless there would be so many guests that the hosts wouldn't notice an extra ghoul? So many questions swirled through his head. Honestly Kaito felt like nothing more then a liability and an eyesore after yesterday; he was a failure. So why didn't Carth just kill him? "Why are you being so kind? Your boss died because of me..." Perhaps Carth had been a puppet of that old vampire as well and him dying had freed the man?

“We’re late!” William burst from the limousine with impatience followed by a trail of beautiful escorts dressed in violet and pink silk dresses with long shawls that wrapped around their smooth thin shoulders and trailed to the ground like fountains of near transparent fabric. He was dressed in a close fitting suit of black with long coattails and a frilly violet men’s blouse that wouldn’t have been out of place in the 1700s. “Mask fetch me my mask sweet Robb!” William put a gloved hand out snapping his fingers impatiently. Robb hurried around the car and handed William the silver etched mask in the shape of the top half of a rabbit’s face with the rounded muzzle and long silver tipped ears. William smiled his charming smile and waved dismissively at the doorman.

“The White Rabbit and my charges. These lovely women are gifts for the guests.” He announced to the man before walking past him. Robb adjusted his small tophat perched cutely on his head and donned his own silver mask which had a simple bandit’s design with the similar silver edged designs around the eye and along the edges. William stopped one of the waiters wandering around with trays of hors d’oeuvres. “Alan, I need to speak to him.”

The man nodded and gestured in the direction Alan was and William strode off with Robb at his tail, his escorts diffusing into the cloud of guests to entertain at the best of their particular strengths. William spotted Alan and opened his arms in greeting.

“My dear friend and most honorable associate, I must say you never hold back on such magnificent events.” His voice travelled though he didn’t raise it much and a few guests looked at him strangely. He approached Alan and looked to Anais. “My dear you are looking absolutely….devine this evening.”

He gracefully took her hand and planted a kiss upon it his rich magenta eyes glinting within the eye holes of his rabbit mask. Robb averted his gaze, pretending to be more interested in the guests. His eyes lingered on Iven, wondering why he was standing at the bar grinning like an idiot but chose not to dwell on it.

“I want to apologize to the both of you for my…behavior back at the club. I’ve had hand crafted, for the both of you, a fine gift in hopes that you won’t think badly of me. Cherish them greatly.” He handed them both pale off white boxes tied with gold silk ribbons, both where long rectangular boxes but Alan’s was longer and wider and a bit heavier than Anais’. Where they to open it and see what was inside Anais' box would contain a magnificent necklace threaded with crisp white diamonds on a cascade of thin silver chains. Alan's gift was a dagger, sharpened and well made, with the hilt and scabbard made out of the polished thigh bone from a tiger. Ivory white with gold bands where the hilt and the sheath met. "Hand crafted, both of them and specially made."

Anais flinched slightly as Alan spoke from behind her. She hadn't noticed him approach from behind her, but smiled gratefully when he explained who she was. She had to admit, she felt slightly naive. She turned back to the girl and smiled, trying her best to appear welcoming. She hoped that she was.

She waited patiently as Alan and the girl - Neptune, Alan had said - spoke to each other. Whatever the girl said, it was clear that she needed some attention for now - her leg was pretty bad and, from the looks of things, probably smelled pretty appealing to anyone in the near vicinity. Alan told her to treat her wounds first, which she planned on doing anyway. She resisted the urge to pull a face anyway, but moved to position herself into one where she could take the other girl's weight. just as she did so, she spotted William and Robb. She smiled at them, but she needed to treat Neptune's wounds. He approached her and she couldn't help smiling (albeit blushing as well) as he took her hand, complimenting her as he kissed her outstretched hand. "Thank you, sir, but I really have to -" She was cut off as he handed her a beautiful white-ish box, wrapped in a gold ribbon. The colour rushed to her cheeks again as she muttered out a quick, "Thank you, but really, it's not necessary..." She trailed off at the end, so the words were almost indistinguishable. Holding the beautifully crafted box in one hand, containing something that she honestly couldn't wait to see. She had heard that William's handmade gifts were some of the best. She smiled, thanked him again, before beginning to help Neptune towards the lift. "Come on, it's not too far. Have you ever been here before?" She asked her quietly, leading her gently and slowly through the corridor. When they reached the lift, she pressed the button to call it down. "I'm so glad we don't have to use the stairs twenty-four-seven. It would be exhausting." Admittedly, she was trying to make small talk, and was doing a bad job of it, but she just hoped that she could try and make it a little less awkward.

The lift dinged, and Anais stepped inside, waiting for Neptune to join her before pressing the button to get them to the penthouse. "Would you like to join in with the ball today? Or just rest? I've got some unworn dresses that I've made if you like. If not, I have some pajamas somewhere that should fit you. We have similar frames, after all." She offered her a reassuring smile, trying to diffuse the tension. The lift trembled to a stop and the doors slid open, and Anais stayed close to Neptune, in case she needed help walking. She quickly unlocked the door, and let Neptune go in first. "Welcome to the Ivory Tower." She breathed, breathing slowly. "I'll go get a first aid kit really quick, and some clothes for you. Just... Get comfortable." She smiled again, before heading off into the bathroom, taking the box with her. Immediately, her smile faded. Was she doing a good job? She hoped she wasn't being too friendly, or awkward.

She forgot about it for a second when she remembered the box in her hand. She carefully opened it, gasping slightly as she saw what it was. Were those real diamonds?! She ran a finger over it before picking it up and fixing it around her neck. They weren't humungous, so she could always say they weren't real, but the make was exquisite and they matched her dress well; it would be a disappointment and offensive if she didn't wear them. She admired it quickly in the mirror before diving into the medicine cabinet, quickly finding all the things she needed, before hurrying back to Neptune.

"Alright, we'll get your leg fixed first. Do you know if the bullet came out or not?" She asked, kneeling down and pouring a little antiseptic onto a gauze pad. "This might sting, by the way." She dabbed it onto the wound as gently as she could, wincing slightly.

Neptune waited patiently for the girl called Anais to be finished with her conversation. It was a good thing the female finished when she did as an older vampire had begun gravitating towards them and it was making Neptune nervous. Not that she allowed this to show, the servant remained perfectly pleasant despite the fact that she was half naked in a room full of well dressed people. It was embarrassing of course, but there was not much the ghoul could do about it. Hopefully her ragged appearance would not sully the good Mr. White's name and she did not want to impose on the vampire's hospitality. As soon as Neptune healed she would begin her investigation of what happened to her Master. Enoch was careful, he would not simply take off.

Anais turned to Neptune then and told her to follow and so Neptune did. "Yes, I've been here twice before with my Master." The first time Enoch and Mr. White had been enemies striking negotiations about something or another, the second time they had come as guests for a gambling night of some sort. Neptune did not enjoy recalling that night however as something happened that she did not want to think about. The ghoul followed the other woman into the lift, listening as it creaked and clanked, apparently straining to pull the two small girls up. "Yes going up the stairs in this condition would be quite tasking." Neptune echoed and leaned against the wall as her leg was beginning to hurt.

The doors to the lift opened and Neptune followed Anais out. She used the wall for support, glad that they reached the room quickly. Neptune entered the area, glancing around the room. The Ivory Tower? Had the space been named before Anais arrived or perhaps there was some sort of story behind it? "Is there a reason for this title?" Neptune inquired and took a seat, relief flooding through her leg. She had thought about the previous question, weighing the pros and cons of taking part in the festivities downstairs. "I think I would quite like to attend the ball," she had been excited to go before Enoch's disappearance as Neptune had never been to this type of party. "Do you sew often?" Neptune asked curiously.

She watched as Anais approached her with the first aid kit. "There's no exit wound, so no the bullet did not come out." She had not seen it fall out in her run and it felt like something was stuck inside of the wound so Neptune believed that the piece of led was stuck inside. Neptune hissed, squeezing onto the arms of the chair she was in. "Don't be bothered by my cries, just keep going." The female urged, wanting to get patched up as soon as possible.
