Cantus Caedis

Name: Cantus Caedis
Age/Age Appeared: 800 Years old, Appears 18
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire (Prince)
Appearance: He wears white gloves to cover his hands, seeing as they would probably burn otherwise. His eyes can turn a deep crimson red, but they're usually an almost unnatural black.

Personality: Cantus is a manipulative and cynical person when need-be, but he's mostly a well-mannered and polite vampire. He prefers to do his work from the shadows, using his multiple bodies to play with people. He doesn't tell anyone of his ability, so most assume he has none. He has an analytic mind that carefully categorizes and makes sense of what he sees, hears, or figures out. He over his lifespan, has learned most languages there are to learn and is quite fluent in those languages. He has many "identities" that he keeps in case of emergencies. Usually these identities are never seen by the public, as to keep them inconspicious. He has many connections in the politics of other races, although these connections can turn a bit shaky. He plays piano on his free time and actually enjoys playing it. He mostly worries about himself, but he will protect his family to his last breath.

Biggest Fear: Falling in love,
History: He, being a vampire, has lived quite a bit of time. He was born to the current King And queen of Vampires. He wasn't able to 'create' his other two bodies till he was aged three, but that was purely on accident. He had been assigned his tutor and began his studies, but like most children, he didn't enjoy it. He longed for an escape, a way to be free of his studies, or a way to enjoy himself while studying. He got what he wished for or to be more precise, he already had what he wished for. A replica of his body appeared in front of him, wearing a replica of his clothes as well. He panicked, thinking that he was being replaced, but he soon figured out that he could control the other body as if it was his own, which it in fact was. He sneaked out of his house with one body and studied with the other, wearing the smile a child that got a new toy would have. He eventually gained another body, and much more advantages alongside it. The rest of his life was spent having fun with one body, studying with another, and using the last one to make himself physically stronger.

-For Vampires-
Psychic Ability: Multilocation - Capable of having three bodies and using them simultaneously. If one body experiences physical harm, the other bodies will feel the same pain.
Do they have Borlianix? Surprisingly, no.

So begins...

First body

Cantus, the vampire, wanted to go outside in daytime, but alas, he couldn't for too long or risk dying. He hated that fact, it made him weak, vulnerable for most of the day, but he couldn't change that. And he still was immortal in age, so he had quite a bit of time to explore the world , or what he hadn't already through his 800 years of life. He laughed a bit, noting that he was much older than those humans who were considered "elders" and he would just keep getting older, unless of course, someone managed to kill him. But who would want to that? He hadn't killed anyone, at least not today. He stood up from his bed, not having been asleep.

He quickly dressed, having his supernatural speed as an advantage. He didn't actually need to do anything with this body, seeing as he was in a house. He went onto his laptop, looking for any strange news. This body was the one he used for studying or researching, not that he had a tutor anymore. He spent his first hundred years learning a lot of things, so he had the rest of his immortal life to look forward too.

He went onto his tumblr, after all, he wasn't going to ignore technology. It gave him an advantage over old fashioned "monsters". He scanned through his dashboard He found that some strange winged boy was seen earlier, and he almost passed it, dismissing it as a crazy human. That is, until he remembered the Mortray. He began looking more into the post, but found himself at a dead end. If it was a mortray, then the author of the post was either dead or didn't see enough to give out a full explanation. "Just my luck," He sighed and continued looking through his dashboard.

Second Body

He had by now learned to use his bodies simultaneously, sure it was hard at first, but you got used to it. He was outside with this body, although he couldn't exactly tell the temperature. Vampires didn't really need to worry about anything other than what time it was. He wished he would get older, and build a stronger resistance to sunlight, but he decided that his current resistance would be fine for now.

He kept on walking and turned into an alleyway, noting that someone was following him. He waited until he was far into the alley, then turned around with a smile. "Behind you, idiot." He smiled, showing his fangs to the mugger who quickly tried running away.

Third Body

Cantus was following his other body from the rooftops, making sure to spot any muggers. He smiled when he saw a conspicuous person following his second body. He climbed down the walls quickly and silently, not wanting to alert the mugger.

He walked up to the mugger, pulled out a dagger different from the one his other body held, and hit the mugger on the temple with the hilt of his dagger. The mugger only managed to turn around before being knocked out. "God, I love doing that." He picked up the mugger and bit into the mugger's neck. The mugger was a female. He sucked up quite a bit of blood, but there was still much left over.

Second Body

No communication was needed between the two bodies, he did only have one mind after all. Cantus bit into the female's neck, feeling energy go into every one of his bodies. He licked his lips, and grabbed the female from his other body's hand, then dropped the female onto the ground. He'd let the police worry about the mugger, wasn't his problem anymore.

He walked out of the alley and back into the street as if nothing had happened, pulling up his hood simultaneously.

Third Body

His third body pulled up the hood he was wearing, and climbed back up to the rooftops.

"I still have to figure out where to go," Erin frowned, disappointed that after talking to the rather disagreeable lady in the alley, she still was lost. She snapped her fingers, a nervous habit, her copper rings clicking each other every so often. They were gifts from her mother and father, and her mom made her wear them at all times. There were several random objects that her mother instructed her to wear, and Erin had grown up not bothering to question it.

I should've taken my cell phone with me but it was dead. The girl thought frowning. That way, she'd be able to tell the time. She was hesitant to ask solitary others after what happened, and those walking with someone else or in groups seemed too busy to talk to. There has to be someone to ask...I really wish I could find a street sign! I know where to get home from the central plaza, but I can't tell how far away that is or what direction... She really just wanted to go home and check up on her mother. Sure, she'd left to clear her head from the anxiety her mother caused but now she was starting to get anxiety from being away from her!

Erin frowned and stopped walking to place her hands on her hips. There had to be someone to ask. She thought that she saw an intersection back where she'd come from, so she turned around yet again. She saw a figure up ahead and jogged over to them, waving with a warm smile. In her head, she silently prayed for the stranger to be friendly.

"H-hi! My name is Erin, I think that I'm lost. Um, could you point me in the direction of central plaza?" she asked, putting her hands into the pockets of her cargo pants and tilting her head slightly. The man had black hair and the moonlight made his eyes look almost pitch black. In the sunlight, Erin imagined, they must be a nice, dark brown. He looked about her age, so maybe it wouldn't be as difficult for her to get along with him as with others. She hoped she wasn't bothering him, but she really needed to get home. The night wasn't comfortable, since she'd already talked to two strangers.

Third Body He ran towards his first body, hoping to not meet any people that happened to be looking at the rooftops. He was skilled at running over rooftops, another skill he honed over the years. He wished he could turn into a bat and fly like in the human mythology, but sadly, he didn't have that ability, and he was sure that almost no vampires did either.

He continued running on the rooftops, still nervous that someone or something would catch him. He couldn't risk getting put in the papers.

Second Body

His ears perked up when he heard a noise, expecting the friends of the mugger to approach him. "Just my luck," He enjoyed reusing this term, seeing as he needed a catchphrase. Most people he heard of on the internet did.

He saw the girl from his peripheral vision and was confused for a second, until he noticed that he wasn't going to get to live out his fantasies of being a badass and beating up muggers.

He stared in awe at her for a few awkward seconds, then returned to his composed self. "Sorry madam, I just wasn't expecting someone so friendly." He finished his apology and began to answer her question, "And I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly familiar this area." He didn't particularly like acting formal, but it was drilled into his head. He also enjoyed the fact that he didn't have to hide his eye color in the night, but he would wear contact lenses in the daytime.

"Oh god, I can't keep talking like this." He mumbled this to himself. "Anyways, I'm Cantus," He paused for a second, "what's your name?" He really hoped she wouldn't force him to be polite.

With the girls all tucked into bed, Ello finally decided to crawl around in the night air in town. Once it hit around midnight she walked out the door, barefoot, her black dress making her look a bit more pale than she actually was. The body she held, Mirina, had actually retained quite a complexion. Ello had stayed fairly peach after the takeover; some would even say she was tan in a certain light. But Ello’s sharp cheek bones protruded oddly from Mirina’s old face and it made her look sick, like she should be ghostly pale, and parts of her face and body didn’t go with each other.

Ello grasped tightly onto a pocket watch tucked inside the right pocket on her dress and she briskly approached the streets. If Yuna or Ami so much as got out of bed the watch would vibrate gently enough to warn her, but not enough to seem strange to anyone she spoke to. Of course, cell phones and computers with tractors were very practical nowadays, but did they look as fashionable or adorable as her pocket watch? Absolutely not.

She glided down the alley ways, not looking at many people but not hiding herself from anyone. Some looked on at her with awe and kept out of her way, some just shot her a glace and turned down their gaze. They knew what she was, an Akina looking for souls who wanted their wishes granted, but they knew the rumors going around about her slave girls too. The night time regulars knew her face well, as well as her dangers. No, none of them would do. She was looking for a new, fresh face.

”Oh that girl looks so lovely…” Ello thought to herself as she approached a couple speaking in a dark alley way. The boy was a vampire, to Akina’s distaste, and Ello immediately wanted the girl for herself. She didn’t want him to have her. As she heard the ‘what’s your name’ line, the Akina almost slithered up behind Cantus and touched his shoulder with a hand, rearing her head around his arm impishly.

“Hey there guys, anyone have a lighter handy? Not to bother either of you.” She let her old host, Mirina, show her personality a little for conversation. That child-like, innocent, but upbeat attitude always let the new comers of the town feel super comfy in a dark alley way. They both seemed just a tad younger than she appeared: a tall 19. But the way her old eyes mix-matched with her body and hair made her seem ageless and hard to pin point on the maturity scale. She let her silver-green eyes, the eyes of a predator, soften almost completely as she gazed over at Erin.

There was a different air about him than other people. He seemed so...formal, to say the least. It was hard to suppress a smile. When the man, no, gentleman seemed more appropriate. Gentleman, then, when the gentleman introduced himself, Erin couldn't help giggling slightly. What an interesting name he had. She couldn't help wondering what ethnicity or country that name was from. It sounded interesting, at any rate, and she didn't particularly dislike it. So she cleared her throat slightly before speaking. "My name's Erin. Cantus?" she hoped she'd pronounced it correctly, she seemed to have bad luck on that subject, "That's an interesting name. It's too bad you're not from around here, really. Are you staying with family here?" The man seemed so polite, so it was weird speaking with him since she spoke so informally by nature.

Erin rocked back and forth in her combat boots comfortably, deciding that she liked this stranger. He seemed really nice so far, so she decided that if she ever saw him again then she'd show him around the town, and not get lost that time. She felt short while standing near him, but she was already short for her age and she'd gotten used to it. In fact, his whole being made her feel somehow smaller.

There was another person behind Cantus, she noted. She looked so beautiful, Erin thought. A lighter, she was asking for a lighter. "No, I'm sorry," Erin said in return. The girl, whose age Erin couldn't seem to pinpoint, had the most peculiar shade of blue eyes that somehow matched- or did it?- shockingly soft pink hair. Erin wasn't sure whether or not to be afraid of her or to go for a walk with her and get coffee like old friends.

Jaxson Crue

Walking with a cane caused him to receive more strange looks than he would expect. Hadn't they seen a cane before? It suddenly became even clearer the social status gap between Jax and the, as he called them, commoners. How dreary. Mr. Crue, I would advise you rest. You're useless when you're tired. There was the annoyingly wise voice in Jaxson's mind.

"Of course, Gideon, it is in our best interest," the gentleman muttered with an edge of annoyance. It seemed that only around his weapon did Jaxson have troubles controlling his temper. He couldn't decide if Gideon were to be described as a doting father or a ruthless drill sergeant. Of all attitudes a weapon could have, Jax was stuck with that of Gideon. Admittedly, the cane was rather useful in battle.

Placing the owed money onto the table, Jaxson rose from his seat and walked to the elevator of the hotel. He had requested, as it was always, a master room on the top floor. He was easily satisfied with the best of things, and found that money helped smooth most anything over.

Inside his room, there was a map that he had taped with care to a wall. On it, detailed marks were made plotting the movement of something, or rather someone. He was tracking down a Creaous, as always, though he seemed to be having difficulty with this particular prey.

Second Body

He had heard quite a bit of skepticism about his name, but he quickly blew that skepticism away with a simple 'my parents love latin'. Those words usually worked on most, but skilled monsters were able to see past his guise.

He would have blushed when she giggled, but he had learned to control himself at a young age. "My name is Latin, my parents were interested in their culture. It means Music" He didn't mention that they'd been around when the language was first being created. He nodded calmly when she pronounced his name, hoping to show that she was saying it correctly. "Yes, I am staying here, for quite while, but not with family." He winced when he said that, remembering his father. He was about to say something, but he heard Erin talk to someone behind him.

He almost turned around and attempted to kill the Akina, but he restrained himself. He felt stupid for not noticing her presence. He looked at the 'girl's head and smiled, but his eyes showed his true age for a second. He meant it as a warning, one that would have worked on most monsters. If she wasn't an Akina, she would mistake it as a trick of the light. Either way, it was better to be safe than sorry. "I'm sorry, but I don't have a lighter." His voice showed no malice, but he was simply hiding it.

"I wonder how it would be like to be immortal, then again, wishing for something like that seems foolish without preparation." He appeared to be saying this to himself silently, but he was intending for the girl to hear it. He was trying to implant the idea of thinking about making wishes before making them. Sure, he would probably be hated by the Akina, but he was of the Royal Vampire Family. "Oh, I apologize, I appear to have been distracted for a second," And he began speaking politely again, he frowned internally. "We should probably go into a shop and continue this conversation there, if I may be so bold." He directed this at both of the young ladies, not that he believed the Akina was young. Nonetheless, surely the Akina wouldn't dare make her move in a shop. And if she wasn't an Akina, he could probably get a nice meal, or a slave. Either was fine.

Jaxson Crue

I advise going to the address left of your ring finger. Honestly, I don't have eyes, and yet I can see what location we have to go to next better than you, insolent boy. Gideon's voice was sour, as it often was, while it instructed the Mortray. The young gentleman Jaxson glared at the cane as a response. He gripped the cane in his hand and slid the cover off of its true weapon form, a sword. Yes, there was a sword hidden within the cane. Gideon had always taken pride in his helpfulness during battle, and his form certainly did not disappoint.

Looking at the reflection of his face in the blade, Jaxson spoke. "You really do prove most useful, Gideon. What a distasteful attitude you have, old friend!" The man laughed at the sword he held. Setting the weapon back to its cane appearance, Jaxson removed the map with care from the wall. Rolling it so that it might fit inside his coat, he placed it inside a hidden pocket before exiting the room.

After checking out of the hotel entirely, Jaxson drew his cane up onto his arm and held his head high as he exited the building. He rather enjoyed walking, though not as much as flying, and began his way to the apartment building that Gideon had directed him to. This town, which he knew by the name of Craine, seemed a rather pleasant place to live, if you didn't mind people of class lower than Mr. Crue's. Jaxson walked in a straight line down the sidewalk with long strides and not a single care as to who may have to move out of his way.

There were some rather strange characters at the time of night, he and Gideon both noted. They further thought upon this as they passed a trio consisting of a tall female with pink hair who he deemed to be an Akina due to her eye color, a man with black hair who he recognized to be the prince of vampires (Jaxson kept tabs on major figures of the supernatural sort) and a mundane girl who seemed to be on the short side.

Erin Saito

Her newfound companion addressed the other young woman with just as much courtesy and politeness as he had used with Erin. She leaned forward slightly, feeling even shorter than usual, and regarding the words with curiosity. Cantus proceeded to suggest the trio move their conversation to a shop. Erin's face lit up with excitement, having forgotten almost entirely about returning home and being lost. The two people before her had a strange enticement about them.

"Can we go to a coffee shop?" Erin quickly piped in. Both her and her mother had an infatuation with coffee, though Erin preferred plain black coffee. "Maybe someone there will have a lighter!" She smiled up at the girl who had joined her and Cantus. He really was so polite, it reminded her of a refined Englishman from movies or a prince, someone like that with high class.

"Oh, I forgot to ask! Can I have your name, miss?" Erin laughed slightly at her own thoughtlessness. How could she forget to introduce herself? "My name's Erin," she held out her hand, copper rings glistening slightly in the moonlight. A leather bracelet with a small amethyst stone dangling from it swung slightly at the movement.

Jaxson Crue

Gideon had stopped Jaxson when they reached a door with the number '102' on it in the apartment building. He rolled back his shoulders before knocking on the door with his cane, which objected rather strongly to the action. He could hear what sounded like a raven or something inside.

As Ello looked into Cantus's eyes she noticed the power in them, and then she realized he was showing that power off in her direction: a warning. She just kept her sweet smile up... that is until he started dropping life-long advice to the girl in front of him. Now, Ello understood his game. He'd be working against her. She would have abandoned her prey right there and left to find another without a vampire's company, but Erin then asked her name, truly polite, and Ello thought she was almost irresistible. A girl with those sorts of kind-hearted manners had to be dealing with hardships at home, which made her a wonderful, adorable target. But then Erin held out her hand.

The amethyst hit her first, and she struggled against the urge to back up. Ello eyed the copper rings and thought them to be extremely ironic. Vampire and Akina guards, it was like someone had given her a heads up before either of them had even shown up. She didn't miss more than a beat, though, to respond.

"Mirina, my name is Mirina." She grinned at Erin again as she started towards the coffee shop, leading the group. "I'm sorry, I would shake your hand, but I had an accident a few years ago..." Ello sighed, showing off her black bandaged hands. They seemed normal enough, but in a couple places seemed too thin, presumably from surgery. "I can use them for small tasks, but shaking hands? Not so much. It's very nice to meet you though."

Ello always tried to keep the conversation light hearted and polite as she explained her disability. She loved it, honestly. Who in their right mind would be scared of a girl with disfigured hands. "And you're name is Cantus, right? Latin. You'd have to have an old soul with a name like that." She smiled. Ello said it like an off-hand comment. Not too flirty, but conversational, letting the vampire know she would not be backing down so quickly.

Second Body

Cantus smiled when he saw Erin's face light up, but he didn't know why. Perhaps he had some human emotion in him? It wasn't very likely. After all, he had killed quite a bit of people. And to be honest, he enjoyed most of those murders. It felt good to let out his primal instincts, to let his body take control.

"A coffee shop will suffice," He said this in response to Erin's suggestion. He felt a bit weak, but he guessed that it was simply fatigue from one of his bodies. He then noticed the copper rings and had a bit of fear inside of him. Did she know about the creatures of the night? Surely she didn't, but the girl had both copper rings and Amethyst.

He smirked at the 'accident', knowing that the Akina was very likely not halted by those disfigured hands. She probably had Cursed Ones as her servants. Cantus returned his thoughts to the situation at hand. "Yes, my name is Cantus." He would have winced at the 'old soul' part, but he was better than that. "Not much older than you," He said this with a calm voice, but it would be obvious to monsters that he was mocking her.

He decided to follow the Akina towards the coffee shop, careful to not let his gaze falter. He couldn't afford to let his guard down, especially now that he knew Erin had copper.

He continued following the Akina, but he let himself fall close to Erin without causing any suspicion. "Would you mind showing me around this city? I've never actually explored it." He asked this with a soothing voice that only a vampire could have.

Mirina seemed to know what direction the coffee shop was in. Erin's luck must have come back to her, which was something she was pretty grateful for. Humming a quiet tune to herself, she held her hands behind her back and took in the sights of the night town. She didn't often take walks this late, so Erin took the opportunity to look around her. The familiar streets, that she somehow managed to get lost in, looked different during the night. That was probably her excuse for losing her way. Cantus fell into step with her and she smiled up at him.

That would be fun, she had decided, showing Cantus around Craine. Erin nodded her head, "That sounds fun," she said to him, "When d'you want your tour, Mr. Cantus?" He had such a lovely voice, and Erin probably wouldn't have been able to deny Cantus this small request even if she wanted to. What a nice man he was. She thought that even her mother might like him, and she disliked most everyone.

Out of curiosity, Erin decided to inquire about Cantus' temporary residence. "Are you staying at a hotel, then?" There was a nice one not too far from the plaza that Erin had always thought of as nice. Perhaps her companion was staying there.

The same welcoming wind danced gently through the streets, making Erin look up at some leaves that had gotten caught in it. The moon wasn't letting many stars shine, she noted. Drawing her attention back to walking ahead, she recognized that they were nearing the plaza, where a nice little cafe was. They'd get their coffee from there, then. The great, welcoming fountain's water sparkled with the lights that were aimed perfectly at the display. She'd always liked that fountain, and imagined that her mom would like it too if she ever ventured outside.

Jaxson Crue

The bird had gotten louder, and inside he was fairly certain that he could make out a woman muttering to what seemed to be herself. Get inside already, boy! Gideon barked the order at the swordmaster.

Gideon, friend, I am, and you know me, to be a gentleman. Now, what sort of gentleman would barge into a lady's home? Answer me that, cane. Jaxson tapped his finger on the handle of his cane with annoyance. What sort of commoner doesn't answer her own door when someone knocks? It was to be expected of a creaous, he presumed. Mortrays, however, were a far more civil breed with such importance that they even resembled God's army.

Despite his description of his race, Jaxson was in actuality not religious. It was a sin to be impatient, anyway, wasn't it?

No, no he must be patient. A gentleman is always patient, and Jax Crue is a model gentleman. All that he had to do was to exterminate the vile creature muttering inside the apartment.

#, as written by Celaira
Ba dum, ba dum, ba dum. Went the beat of the man's heart who the blond-haired female held against her. She stood behind one of the shops, luckily for her, no one was around as her teeth sank into his fragile flesh. The man gasped, his muscles tightening, but her telekinesis was restraining any other movement. Her eyes glowed a faint red as she drank the man's life away, her pale hands gripping his shirt tightly. After a few minutes, she dropped him, his life remaining intact. "Thank you," she whispered in his ear as he lay unconscious on the ground.

She'd drank just enough to sustain her until her next dosage of gold, but for now she needed something to get the burned flesh taste out of her mouth. With that thought in mind, the girl rounded the corner and slipped through the door of the closest shop she could find, happily discovering that it was a coffee house. Without any hesitation, she sauntered up to the counter to order. The teenage male who was working the cash register gave her a flirtatious smile as he asked for her order. "I'd like a chocolate chip frappuccino, if you please." Her voice was sweet as sugar, and she watched as the boy before her gulped as if he'd never seen a woman before. When he rang up her total she handed him the cash and he gave her a number, telling her to wait at one of the tables so she would be more comfortable.

She nodded her thanks, walking to one of the booths in the corner. She sat down on the end of the seat crossing one leg over the other, closing her eyes for a few minutes.

Third Body

Cantus stopped running across the rooftops towards the vampire mansion, the one his first body was in, and decided to investigate the cafe he would soon be going to in his other body. He ran with a slight tiredness, but his body wasn't actually affected. It was just his mind.

He felt lucky that he multiple bodies to use on different tasks.

He continued running, eventually ending up behind the cafe and at the back entrance. It took him approximately three minutes to arrive, not having left very far. He couldn't risk there being multiple monsters. He grabbed a contact lenses and put them on his eyes, turning them a brown color. He turned his jacket inside out, changing the color and design by quite a bit. He had prepared for situations like this quite a bit, seeing as it was inevitable that he would be faced with this sort of thing.

He slacked his normal posture and began looking more casual in his third body, not wanting people to recognize him. If he could make it out in time to not be seen, then that was perfect. Now that he thought about it, he didn't know if this was the same one his other body was going to. He sighed and decided to go in anyways, not like it could hurt him, too badly.

He picked the door's lock and walked in calmly, not arousing any suspicion. Power still rolled off of him, but he couldn't exactly control that. He scanned the area, not noticing anything particular except for a.... wolf-eared human? He facepalmed, a thing he had learned about from the internet. He could feel the presence of the monsters as soon as he walked in, which made the wolf-ears more obvious to him.

He went to get a coffee, not that he needed to. He ordered it and was told to sit down somewhere. This angered him, but he decided to bear through it. He paid in a hundred dollar bill, forgetting that most humans didn't have the amount of money he did. He noticed his mistake too late, and cursed at himself internally.

He thought about what he was doing. He was a vampire, and drinking this would be of no harm or use to him, other than possibly burning his mouth. And then he thought about what he was really doing. Was he really risking his secrecy for another vampire? He shook his head and smiled. Yes, he was risking one of his bodies and secrecy for another vampire. He wouldn't let a vampire die under his watch. He was prince of the night, a thing that humans feared in their nightmares. He knew that his presence was obvious, after all, the prince of Vampires couldn't go unnoticed. He smirked, wondering what the werewolves and the female vampire would do. He had no qualms with killing the humans in the coffee shop if needed, or two werewolves who couldn't respect their boundaries.

He sat down in a different booth than the other vampire, but he was still close enough for his presence to be obvious. He waited for something interesting to happen, hopefully something not violent. He didn't want to risk figuring out what happened when one of his bodies died. He pulled out his phone and ended up texting his first body back and forth. It was almost as entertaining as playing chess with himself. He was still however, paying attention to the other three "monsters".

The scent of coffee drowned out anything else the girl could smell, but she didn't mind. With her eyes closed, her ears attuned to the sounds of everything inside the cafe. Her drink sure was taking a long time, but her mind quickly wandered away from that when the door opened and a strange scent overtook the coffee in the air. Dogs. More specifically Werewolves. She fought the urge to wrinkle her nose as she heard footsteps closing in on her booth. When she heard one of them speak, she opened one of her eyes. Oh, great, there were two. Her crimson eye flicked between the two, falling on the one with the strange ears poking out from his skull. What was wrong with him? Why did he think it was okay to go out in public like that? When the one directly in front of her began to speak, her gaze returned to him and she opened both of her eyes. Slowly, a smile graced her lips, and she leaned forward resting her elbows on the table and then her chin on folded hands. "I'm sorry, but my name is Syra and I'd prefer you address me by it," Her voice was calm, holding nothing but the sweetness of being polite.

"As for why I'm here," she paused, tossing her head a little to get some stray strands of hair from her face. "I live here."

Absently hearing her number, the Vampire rose from the table walking over to the counter. She quickly grabbed the drink, flashing the cashier a warm smile before returning to the table where the beasts still sat. After taking a small sip from the frappucino, a delighted smile came to her lips. She loved chocolate. For a few seconds she was absorbed in the drink, but then looked up at the strangely-eared wolf. She smiled graciously for his manners, but accidentally flashed her fangs in the process. Not realizing what had happened, she continued on as per her usual behavior, her crimson eyes falling back on the first wolf.

"If I may, what brings you to my town of all places? It's pretty small, not that great of a hunting place, not to mention is pretty much oozing hunters." Her voice was soft, the grin on her face more of a warning about the threat of hunters to someone as young as the man in front of her. That was when she sensed it. The immense power that seemed to suffocate everything else in the room. Her eyes widened and flickered around the room carefully until they found the source. A man who had just entered the coffee shop.

She could tell from where she was that he was indeed one of her own kind, a powerful one at that. It couldn't be... There was no way. He couldn't possibly be here... No. It wasn't possible. She watched the man as he sat in a booth not too close, but not too far from where she was. Shaking her head, she looked back at the wolves in front of her, there was no way that was one of the princes of the Vampire Royal Family. Not in this little pinprick on the map. Not in Craine.

Seph gave a light laugh that sounded almost like a 'hmph' when the woman said he name and her preferred title. Soul sat down next to him and introduced himself to her after she had received her drink. 'That was good. She didn't seem to be dangerous at all. At least not from her actions. Why else would she return to the table? The fact still remained however, that she still smelt of fresh blood. Blood that wasn't hers.
He thought since she stated her name, then he should also state his. "My names Seph. As for hunters, I don't fear them because unlike the cub I can control my transformation." It wasn't really something he was proud to say, since learning how to control it took allot of blood and built up allot of hate for a man that he made sure died by his own hands. "Speaking of which, try to hide your ears. If your going to be traveling with me then you should at least know how to conceal your true nature." He said to Soul, shaking his head a little at the guy. Turning back to Syra he said, "Anyway, I'm not here for hunting, I'm here because I don't have anywhere else to go." Her earlier statement formed an Idea in his mind. "You say you live here, but there's hunters here as well. Where do you sleep exactly?"

Before he was able to get an answer out of him, a smell hit his nose that was worse then hers. A vampire. He had a really unique smell too. Seph couldn't really pin point why but if he smelled that strong, he must have not just some random vampire that you can find anywhere.

He turned his attention back to the girl in front of him. Surely her face and the vibe he was getting from her meant that the vampire who entered the room was indeed a powerful one and judging from his smell, he was also more pure bled then she was. He let out a faint growl. "Do you know him?" He asked. "He seems to be pretty strong from what I can tell." Surely this town attracted not only him, but allot of other creatures as well. The only question was why.

He grinned as his scone arrived, fluffy and flaky like a scone should be. He despised going hungry, and it had been sometime between meals. After a few bites his ears perked up, then lay back at Seph's "cub" comment. "I'm not a cub. I turned of age a few months ago." He then muttered to himself, "I mean, I think I did." He dropped his scone on the little plate and clutched his head with one hand, ears going flat, as something at the back of his mind tried to surface. A memory best left untouched. But as quickly as it had come, it was gone, and he rubbed his temple to ease the pain. His brain was being especially rude today, doing a thing like that. "As for my ears", he said. "They refuse to change. Soul has tried hundreds of times but Soul is stuck with them. And putting a hat over them renders Soul all but deaf."

He took another bite of scone, it was quite a good one at that, as he noticed the tension in the air, the thick smell of what he'd come to understand his Vampire. He did his best to keep his ears from twitching, they would alert the new presence of his awareness. This scent, and this strange feeling in his gut, like someone was squeezing him in a vice, it unsettled him greatly. He put down his scone and laced his fingers together to keep his hands from shaking. What was this person, that they're mere presence unsettled him so greatly? "Seph, I-I don't like this," He managed to whisper. "Who ever that person is..." His voice trailed off, his brain refusing further operation of the tongue. Images flashed in his mind. Blood. Pain. Death. Over and over again, blood, pain, and death.

He couldn't deal with this. He laid his head down on the table and shut his eyes, trying to relax, though when the mans eyes fell on him, his whole body went rigid. He didn't know what was happening, but if this kept up, he'd lose control. Then lots of bad things would happen.

Third body

Cantus never really understood how his strength felt to others, seeing as he was around his father for a long time. One thing he did however understand, was that he was respected by most creatures. He didn't know what had drawn him to the little town named Craine. Perhaps it was simply fate playing with measly beings on Earth, or perhaps it was just luck. He waited a bit until he could feel the tension in the room. He laughed a bit while still looking at his phone. The phone's back was pointed at the group, but most importantly, the camera was as well. He was watching them from the camera, but his third body appeared to be looking away from the group. His first body however, was staring at feed off of the phone. God, he loved technology, not that he would say god.

He wondered how the werewolves felt, seeing as he and another vampire were here. Surely they wouldn't try anything hasty, right? He noticed the wolf with ears lay his head down. It amused him.

He clicked his phone shut with a snap, one that would be obvious to anyone listening for any sound from his direction. The humans in the cafe didn't notice. It was just after all, another phone. He stood up a second before his order finished being made and walked towards the male behind the counter. "Thank you," His voice was calm and practiced.

He went back to his booth before thinking of a genius idea. He walked over to the white-haired werewolf and feigned being unaware of the situation, "Are you alright?" He was still wearing contacts that hid his black eyes, but a monster with good sight would easily see through them. He put down his cup of coffee and "accidentally brushed his hand against the other vampire.

Syra held her drink just on the edge of the table, her eyes staring at the straw so that they wouldn't be drawn to the powerful Vampire nearby. When she heard Soul begin to justify why his ears were out, she looked at him. She didn't know if her eyes seemed calm or haggard and afraid, but regardless she watched the white-haired wolf. When he put his head down, her head tilted. She'd never seen a werewolf react this way to the power of a vampire, was he really as overwhelming to them too? That's when she heard the other wolf, Seph, as he had introduced himself ask if she knew him.

"No." She whispered softly, biting the top of her straw. "I can't be sure who he is."

Much to her dismay, the power became even more suffocating, and without even looking up she knew he was closer to them than before. When she heard his voice, her eyes drifted up to his face, scanning over it carefully. No one in her family had ever been invited to the functions of the Royal Family, so she'd never seen any of the princes or princesses in person. She couldn't be sure that's who he was, but she didn't have any other clues.

Just as she was getting used to him standing there, she felt an electric shock tear through her body. Had he touched her? What the hell was that feeling? What the hell was going on? Her eyes watered a little as the shock subsided, and she wasn't really sure if she had remained physically composed, but she doubted it.

Carefully, her crimson eyes moved from the man who she thought might have been royalty to the two werewolves sitting across from her.

Seph watched Soul as he started having some kind of panic attack. He could smell it oozing off of his body like smoke. The pheromones. The body releases special fumes that when smelled can attract you to another person. Another thing it does is transmits your feeling into smell. It was the bodies natural equivalent to a mood ring. At least, that's how he saw it. "Hey Soul.... Soul.......Snap out of it." He said while taking his hand and pinching souls neck with it. It was a common pack leaders tip. If you rub a wolfs neck in the right spot it should calm them down.

The stench from before was hitting his nose again. He turned away from Soul to see that the vampire, who was sitting across the room, was now standing right next them. He must have done something to Syra because her smell changed and her body seemed to be frozen. It was a strange smell. Wasn't exactly fear but he didn't know what else to call it.

"Hey buddy. You know its rude to step up to people's tables without asking right? I don't really know you all that well so the least you could do is be polite." He told the dark haired man in front of him. It always did bother him when someone tried to intrude on his territory without asking or with out him being there. That was his wolf instinct. He didn't know why but in some scenario's he was a tad bit more territorial then other.

As soon as this strange presence approached the table, he knew it was over. Even Seph's weird neck pinch didn't do much. It felt like his entire body were on fire. He wanted, no, he NEEDED to- Suddenly he heard the voice, and he snapped. He suddenly stood, his hands slamming against the table as he did so. The wood around his hands gave way, splintering and leaving a rough impression of his palms. A few startled humans looked at him, but as always they looked away with slightly befuddled expressions. They only ever saw what they thought was there.

He turned and bumped into the man, if he could call it a man, exclaimed an abrupt apology, ran to the counter, slammed down his hands and panted. "Three dozen- no, ALL the scones, NOW!" The man behind the counter let his jaw drop. Who the hell would order an entire shelf of scones!? "And tea, yes, black tea. Twelve of them." Now the man's eyes lit up with greed as he replied, "Yes sir! That'll be two-hundred, thirty-four dollars and ninety-eight cents." He looked into the wallet in his hand and pulled out two hundreds and a fifty, got the change, and a tray laden with scones, to start. He sat down at the booth again and ate a scone in two bites. Suddenly he was calm again. In fact he looked as happy and carefree as he had when Seph first met him. The world could be crumbling down around him, but if Soul had any form of baked goods, he couldn't care less.

He wiped his mouth as the first of his twelve teas arrived. He took a sip and looked the stranger in the eye, grinning like the fool most people took him to be. "Soul is afraid he must agree with Seph, though Soul appreciates your concern." That grin threatened to split his face in half. "Please, introduce yourself. Here, have a scone!" He picked a rather scrumptious looking scone from the tray and offered it to the vampire stranger.

Third Body

Cantus flinched when he touched Syra. He cursed under his breath. He didn't actually mean to. He looked at the werewolf who wasn't freaking out, and wondered what he would say.

He laughed internally, 'hypocrite', he wasn't actually going to say this. He knew that the werewolf probably walked up the female vampire without asking, but he didn't want to say this out loud. He could be wrong. "Polite? All I was doing was asking if your friend is all right." He had a non-malicious tone in his voice. "It is after all, my fault that he's acting this way." He continued, confused by what he was saying. He did however, feel anger that he was being told to be polite. He had been polite for all of his life at his manor, do this, do that, stand up straight. What did this werewolf know about being polite? He shook the thought away internally. Now was not the time to get angered.

Cantus felt as if he was going to be attacked when Soul bumped into him, but he didn't have time to attack. He was even more surprised when Soul went to the counter and ordered every scone. "What?" He asked this mostly to himself. He was dazed for a second, wondering how eating a scone could calm someone down so easily. He composed himself quickly.

He was even more surprised that Soul looked him in the eye. Rarely anyone had the guts to do so, and this werewolf seemed terrified just a minute ago. He smiled, "My name is Cantus Caedis, Prince of Vampires." He let the last past slip past his tongue, but he didn't notice. He took the scone and eyed for a second, before beginning to eat it slowly. "You use tumblr?" He pulled out his phone and went to the tumblr app, then faced the phone towards Soul, hoping that at least one monster would know what he was talking about. He was smiling genuinely, something rare when it came to Vampire Princes. He was beginning to like this werewolf, but he wouldn't let his family know that.
