Nathan Thorne's Story

Scarny shook her head. "No, I have to go back to the bar. I'm working. Nathan is going to be so mad at me . . ." She paused and twittled ehr thumbs. "Maybe you should come back with me. Sit in the back and wait till I am off. No one ever goes back there." Walking over to the dresser she opened the second drawer from the bottom. She had been over so many times she had cloths for work and off work. She grabbed a one of her favorite dresses. It was black with different designs on it. Then there was purple under the dress. She also grabbed her fishnets off the hook in the closet. She walked to the bathroom and hopped in the shower real quick. "So do you want to go to the bar with me or not?" She called from the bathroom as she raced around drying her hair and styling it. When she came out she was dressed with her hair strait with a curl at the bottom. She walked over to the closet again and pulled out her knee high boots. "Come one maybe you will be able to see me get up there and dance." She left out the part about only dancing iwth Nathan. Before she left she burned her dress from erlier in the bathroom trash can then headed out the door. "You better hurry up or you are gonna miss it." She said running to the bar and going in back.

When she got there she went back to the bar and apoligized to Travis. Then she started serving customers again. She hadnt really aloud Markus to say yes or no so she was watching the door leading to the back to see if he would appear. When she got distracted a moment she had spilt a glass and when cleaning up a guy got a peek in her dress. So then the crowd started asking for a dance. This was a regular thing for her and she jsut got up on the bar top. She hushed teh crowd and without hesitation put on her best smile. "OK but Nathan, AKA the boss, has to come up with me"

Scarny's Dress:

Scarny smiled at the crowd and made motions each time something exciting happened. This was a nightly routine there was nothing really real about it to her. So when she was being chanted upon she gasped a little and put on her surprised face. "Well Nathan I think we owe these folks a dance before the bar closes down in lets see." She looked down at her imaginary watch even though everyone knew this was the last dance thing of the night. "Well ten minutes till 2:00 and that's closing time so we better get started." She motioned towards Alex who turned on a slow song. "Alex silly, these folks don't want a slow song. They want something exciting." She winked obviously to the crowd. Then a high beat song came on she started dancing on Nathan and others started to as well but everyone was watching them.

Nathan grinned as Scarny played her part perfectly. As she danced on him Nathan looked out onto the crowd, who was content and looking at them, some even had astonished looks on their faces, some took this oppertunity to order some of their last drinks. Nathan was thankful it was closing time, honestly even after feeding these damnable humans made him thirsty all over again. They danced and hopped around, the blood in their veins pumping furiously. Nathan blocked the smell from his mind, trying not to go on a rampage. Thankfully most of the people had left at this point. Scarny stopped dancing on him, and he hopped of the bar, extending a hand to help Scarny down. "He peered over to the DJ booth where Alex was still playing a few songs for the remaining people. Nathan had grown an interest in the newborn, almost excited to find out what his powers were going to be. He turned to Scarny, "Great performance as always." He was praising her but frowned as he did, "So how was your time with Markus?" He asked coldly, crossing his arms infront of his chest, "I thought I've told you many times before not to associate yourself with him. He manipulates people, that's his job, why do you think Fera has him on such a high pedestal?" He glared at Scarny, "And never, I repeat, NEVER invite someone from that scum bar to this bar, do you understand?" He questioned, practically growling. He walked away from Scarny, rather upset now. He headed towards the bar, jumping over it. He went to his 'special fridge' pulling out a bag filled with a dark liquid. He closed the door, the liquid in the bag still radiated with warmth, he walked to the DJ booth, handing the bag to Alex, "Stick your fangs in it and drink." He commanded, smirking, "Unless you'd like something a little more... fresh. I suppose I should say someone." Nathan chuckled as he walked back to the bar.

Scarny had heard Markus but wasn't sure if it was sarcasm or not. She also did not know whether Nathan had heard. Her question soon had an answer. Angry that he would say such a thing then just walk away she jumped down hard frightening the rest of the people in the bar. Foolishly as she was when she was angry she hissed at the remaining few. "Get out!" She hissed and once they were gone she was up in flames. Her eyes a bloody red with fire flaring up from the bottom walked over to Nathan and spun him around scorching his jacket. "How dare you say that to me. You don't know him like I know him and you sure as hell don't have the right to tell me not to see him." She hissed at him this time her fangs growing some more. "On top of that how did you even know I was with him tonight. You don't know what happened tonight." When she spoke of him her eyes flicked a lavender. The color of caring. They were back to bloody red in seconds though. "You want to know? Well SHE left him to die." She hissed the words when speaking of Fera. "I saved him. Why do you even care anyway. All that matters to you is this stupid bar and Alex. You just want to see what he will turn out to be." She motioned towards him then her eyes turned a green the color of satisfaction. "You want to know if he turns out like you, a lonesome sad man. Or if he will turn out like me, the fiery dangerous type." As she said the words things around the bar started lighting on fire including Nathans shoes. "Your just jealous because I am happy for once. That I am happy and its not because you brought me one of your little precious meals." She stung him where she knew it would hurt. She didnt know completely but she had an idea that he felt something more for her so she jabbed at it to see if the balloon would pop.

Nathan glared at Scarny as she yelled at him. He threw his shoes away, he looked to the things she set on fire, and despite it all he soon found himself laughing. "Me? Jealous of Markus? Please, I would never stoop to such petty feelings."Nathan grinned to Scarny "And you most certianly are right about one thing, I only care about this bar, but the last time I checked, you were apart of the bar. Look I don't have much of a grudge with Markus, and if you think he's being mistreated with Fera, by all means, tell him to come to us. We'll treat him right and the two of you could properly be together." Nathan smiled, hopeing his words would calm her. Even if he hated the vampire, Nathan wasn't going to turn down being able to have the upperhand on Fera. Nathan looked to Scarny, "But your going to have to put out all the fire, otherwise there will be no bar for anyone."

Alba

Alba had woken up late which now and days seemed like the regular thing, she often stayed up talking to Elizabeth weather it was in secret or on her phone. She felt like she was addicted to her voice, begging to hear it when she couldn't see her. Alba quickly got dressed, she had taken a shower earlier and feel asleep on her couch finding herself rushing to the bar quickly. It didn't take much time before realizing she had slept through her whole job as she ran through the door only finding her boss and her co-worker yelling at each other. Honestly Alba minded her own business when it came to these situations, even though she was second in command of the bar she still didn't know how to go over there and tell her boss that she missed her whole entire shift. Then again she could duck outta there and run to visit Elizabeth, either way she was stuck in a uncomfortable position. She noticed Alex playing a few songs, she dashed over to him peering over the side of the DJ booth "Hey I missed my shift, but it looks like Scarny and boss got into a pow-wow over there, just tell him I stopped by and just to call me when he has the time. I owe ya one remember that!"

Alba ducked out of the bar faster then you could say squash and decided to go visit Elizabeth for a little bit, she walked over to Saramel Bar. She had hidden herself in the darkness in the alleyway behind the bar, waiting for her to finish her shift so Alba could attack the girl with a hug.

The comment about only caring about the bar hurt Scarny and it showed. She winced and turned around. The fires stopped on everything but on her. It just fairly lightly blazed on her. "The only reason I was here was for you so if you don't care ill just be on my way." She headed for the door then stopped and looked at him again. "Remember when you asked me why I never let anyone close to me?" She blinked back the tears in her eyes. "This is why." Was all she managed to whisper before she ran out the door at high speed. She didn't even see Markus because her eyes had misted over to much to see. She ran for the one place she knew she was safe. The old warehouse she lived in when she first got to New York with Nathan. Once inside she ran to the top and onto the roof.

Alex took the bag from Nathan and confused did as he was told. At first it felt weird but then it felt good going down his throat. He drank it all not spilling or waisting one last bit. Then he watched as Alba dashed in then out at the last second. He didn't even have a chance to reply. So he just walked back over to Kaz. "So whats it like all the vampire things I mean. I haven't done it yet."

Markus heard the argument and was sadened as Scarny left. He walked inside of Teltum bar feeling everyones gaze on him as he turned to Nathan and grinned. "Ahhh let me guess,your pawn Alex..he must be what you hope for..your successer if you die".
Too bad...wonder what would happen if i killed him tonight because alot of people have died by these hands Nathan. And Alex, if I killed your master what would you do ?".

Markus laughed. "This is a bar right ? Somebody get me my bottle of whiskey then because when i'm thirsty..alot of people die and tonight Fera and a few others will be here but all you have to do is kill me and I won't tell". He looked at Nathan and in a quick second, Markus's eyes became black and his fangs were ready.

Nathan sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. Now he felt guilty. He walked over to the door finding Markus there, he smiled wearily, "Go follow her, she's going to need you." For once Nathan didn't speak as the leader, but as an older vampire lending another advice. He turned, guilt tugging at his dead heart. He walked over to Kaz and Alex, "Have you guys seen Alba?" He asked, sitting in a near by stool. Nathan sighed as he looked over the bar, now empty. "Damn, there aren't even any humans around. Usually there's at least one to feed off of..." he took out his phone, casually scrolling through the contacts. He smiled as he reached one name in particular. Noelle Beaumont. He knew he was the biggest hypocrite in the world, liking someone from the Saramel bar then turning around and telling Scarny she couldn't see Markus because he was from the same bar. He honestly felt like a jerk sometimes but he had to keep up appearances, he was the leader of this bar who was supposed to be at war with the other.
He quickly sent Noelle a text, 'Hey :) hows your night going so far? Do you want to meet up?' for some reason, Noelle made him feel insecure and stupid, but she always had something g to say that always cheered him up, he just wanted to be around her all the time.

Alex stared at the guy then turned to answer Nathan. "Yeah she wanted me to tell you she over slept and missed her shift. She also wanted to tell you she stopped in and to call her when you get the chance." He stopped then added. "Is it true? Do you only care about the bar and to see what I turn out to be like? Do you not care about her?" He couldn't help but ask. He had to know if he was bout to become the one to split up the bar. He had to know if everything was his fault or not.

Nathan growled as he rubbed his temples, things were not going his way today. He glared at Markus as he left to go find Scarny. Nathan turned to Alex, sighing, "None of it is true. While I do care about the bar, It isn't the only thing I care about. And I take interest in you because I was I newborn once... but I was alone and confused. You have to understand that the power you may hold could potentially be dangerous, espesially when in the wrong hands. And finally, the reason you all are here is because I only surround myself with the people I trust and care about the most. I would never say something or do something to any of you if I didn't think it would ultimately lead to something positive." Nathan stood from his chair, grasping Alex by the shoulders, "Which is why you should try to have a little faith in me from time to time." He tried to smile but it turned out into a grimance. "Look, the point is yes I care about her, she's one of my best friends, and I honestly couldn't handle my undead life with out any of you."

Alex nodded and gave a smile for him instead. "The why are you telling us and not her? Why are you letting him convince her to leave and go to Saramels?" He asked trying to get it through Nathans brain that he just sent the one thing keeping her from the bar to her. "You dont convince her about all of that, and everything else you wont say, then she wont be here to convince anymore." He stepped behind the bar and made Nathan a drink. Even though he wasn't bartender he knew how to make drinks.

Scarny looked over at Markuz her fangs extended. "If you take me there I will kill her. She left you to die." She hissed at him then put her head back in her lap. He fangs retracted and the color turned back to a white with sadness. "I will have to leave. I dont belong at either place and this city just cant handle another rouge vampire. I will have to go back to where it started." She looked back at him and her eyes turned a soft blue. She stood up and the fire stopped. "Thats what I will do. I wont have to wear stupid dresses anymore and I can have time to fix my bike." She looked at him. "You could come with. Your the only one that wants me. Your the only one I trust now. You dont have to though I can manage on my own." She added as an after thought. Then she headed for her apartment. THe only problem her apartment was in the building next to the bar.

Scarny stopped and turned Markus. She took his hand into hers and played with his fingers. "Matty I love you to but you cant do that. I love Nathan two." She wasn't sure how she just knew she did some way. "I dont want to see his pride and joy get hurt." She made the reference towards the bar but she truly meant his clan. "Lets just go upstairs and-" She was cut off by Nathan. She squeezed Markus's hand telling him to stay silent. She listened and when he stopped she didnt speak. She stared at the ground for a while then took Nathans hand. "You guys are the only people I trust. Nathan you saved my life. You made me this and you never left me to fend for myself. Markus you came into my life and I dont even know what to say. Just that you instantly cared for me and as far as I know never stopped." She paused then dropped both there hands. "I dont want to lose either of you. So you can either get out what you need to know or just act like you both dont exists." She headed for the door to her apartment building. "I am gonna go upstairs and work on my bike. I guess whenever you guys do what you decide someone can let me know so I am prepared." With that she went upstairs and and changed into shorts and a tank top. She walked over to her bike and started working on it.

Nathan blinked in surprise as Markus just walked away. He walked over to Scarny, scratching the back of his head. "Scarny? He just kinda left..." Nathan muttered, he was confused, how would Markus not fight for her? Nathan shook his head, smiling a bit, "So this means you're staying at Teltum, right?" It was a question but he felt he already knew her answer, he hugged her tightly, grinning, "I'm so glad the clan isn't going to break up." He let her go, turning back to the bar, he walked in finding everyone was where he left them. "Kaz, go find a few humans would you? I'm a little thirsty. Find one for yourself and Alex as well." Nathan smiled looking over a paper, "Alex, you've yet to drink from a human correct?" He questioned, even knowing him most the time he was a newborn, Nathan could never be sure as to what Alex already knew.

Scarny was confused vy what Nathan said. She didnt respond to him when he talked to her. After he left she got angry and threw things around and lighting things on fire. Then she turned into a hawk and flew out the window. She flew across the street to the door of the Saramels bar and started pecking at it hard. Then she went to the middle of the empty street and turned human again. While she was flying her wings were on fire and now her whole body was on fire. "Come on Fera come out and fight me. Or are you still a coward having Markus fight for you?" She screamed in a mocking town. She lit the world around her on fire. There was just an opening enough for one person to step into.

Fera heard the banging and was outraged coming out of her office. Thats when she heard the shouts and smirked. She looked around the bar at her crew. "Come on guys looks like we got ourselves a fight." She walked outside with confidence. She didnt mess with Scarnys mood she was already angry enough for her to enjoy. She walked into the circle of fire and smiled as it closed behind her. "Vell vell vat do we have here? A vittle girl who dosnt know what shes getting herself into?" She asked in her perfect Russian accent.

Alex shook his head with a smile. "You know one thing I do remember from the guy that turned me was that he couldn't help but draw me into him. It was really weird." He laughed then stopped when he heard the shouts outside. He looked at Nathan and then smiled again. "This is a bar fight! I just know it is!" He couldn't help but be right again. He headed towards the door then stopped and spun on his heels. "I seem to be right a lot. Maybe that my power." He laughed then walked outside to face others.

Nathan looked to Alex, raising an eyebrow, "Really? Being right? That's what you think your power is?" Nathan shook his head, "Wait not the point, theres a fight outside?" Nathan looked to the girls that Kaz brought in, smirking as he hopped over the counter, there was time for a small snack. He took one of the girls by the hand sinking his fangs in her neck, soon sucking her dry. As he pulled back he licked the blood off his lips, letting the corpse fall to the ground, he swifly walked out side, passing Alex, "Hey! What's going on out here?" he demaned, looking to Fera and Scarny. "Scarny, what the hell are you doing?" he questioned, shaking his head. He glared over to Fera, "I know your crazy, but I hadn't realized you were crazy enough to start a fight with one of my own." He smirked slightly, "No way in hell you win this one." Nathan looked over to Alex, nodding his head towards the bar, "Go get Kaz, tell him to save the treats for later and get out here. Find everyone else while you're at it." he muttered. He turned back to the girls in the firey ring. "Hey get rid of the fire, your gonna attract the police before the fight is even done." Looking around, he crossed his arms infront of his chest, his gaze set in a glare.

Alex ran back inside laughing and hollered to the others. "Boss says leave the snack find Alba. There is a clan fight outside right now." He smiled then saw the girls sitting there and he walked aver to them. It was as if instinct was kicking in. He sank his teeth into her neck and drank deeply. Once finished he set the girl down lightly and walked back outside. His newly heightened senses were even greater. Once outside he stood next to Nathan feeling wonderful.

Scarny dropped the fire and ran over to Fera grabbing her and sinking her teeth into her neck. She took some blood then shoved her to the ground then hissed at her. She hit her hard with her knee right in the face. She took a step back and walked around her hissing every once in a while. "You and me are to very different people and I want you to know how different." She aloud her to her feat for an attack.

Fera thought it would be a simple fight and aloud her to take a hit. Once she was bitten though thats when she got angry. She was being thrown around like a rag doll. Once aloud the orotundity she jumped up and grabbed the girl. She took a bite of her neck but instead of drinking she tore a big hole in her throat. "Yes we are different. I know how to kill and you just know how to drink." She took a went to bite her neck again.

Nathan rushed into the fight, pulling the two apart forcibly. Scarny was thrown farther away, a good distance from Fara. Nathan stood infront of Fera, crouched in a fighting position. He narrowed his eyes at her, "We didn't have to do this, but you know me well enough by now to know I won't allow anyone hurting my clan." Nathan launched into Fera, shoving her against the wall, forcing her neck into view as he took a bite at her neck, tearing a hole in her throat. Nathan flipped her upside down, slamming her to the ground. Nathan stood a few feet away, crouching as he waited for her move, "Fera don't mistake me for someone who is merciful. I meirly won't be entertained if I win without a fair fight."

On her way to work, Noelle immediately sensed something was wrong, although at the time she didn't know what it could possibly be. Looking down at her phone when she recieved a text, she read it and smiled to herself. Nathan. She was supposed to hate him, but...there was just something that stopped her from feeling that way.
"My night? Torture. Meet up? YES. ;P" she typed into the keypad and pressed send, then continued her journey.
When she was still walking, she heard a large collection of loud words and noises, that sounded like a fight, and she immediately thought the worst. And her suspicions seemed to be proved correct when she noticed Fera, Nathan, Scarny and everyone else in the middle of a fight. Oh, the joys of this life.
Springing into action and tossing her bag over her shoulder then running towards them, she stopped a few feet away from both Fera and Nathan, debating whether or not to speak up. They were the first in charge of each of the bars...she was just a dancer. Nothing she could say would have an effect on them, would it?
"...You might want to take this fight a little somewhere more private..." She said quietly after a small pause. "This isn't going to do wonders for EITHER of your businesses. I mean, I'll be the first to admit that I'm insignificant, but I'm only thinking of you."

Nathan was a little shocked at the small voice that seemed to be drilled into his mind. He looked over to Noelle and couldn't help but smile slightly. Nathan straightened out, looking over to Fera, still slightly holding a defencive position in case she were to attack. "Listen to your clan member. She's right, we aren't doing any good by fighting." He backed away from Fera, going to help Scarny up. "If you chose to attack me while my back is turned, well that just says something about your morals, doesn't it?" He turned back smirking to Fera. Nathan clapped his hands, "Alright, everyone to their respective clubs! There is no fight tonight." He looked to Fera smugly as he walked into Teltums.
