FULL NAME
      Oishi Kyusei Dojima

DEATH
Oishi was shot directly between his eyes by his twin brother, Rin, after Oishi had brutally murdered their Mother in a withdrawal symptom fueled rage.

GENDER
      Oishi is a male.

AGE
      At Death; 17 | Currently; 20

RACE
Past; Human | Currently; Demon (Exorcist / Reborn Living)

POWER
      Hellfire; Oishi is, at will, able to generate incredibly powerful flames of a severe heat. This heat (and as a result the colour of the flames) rises in proportion to Oishi's current level of rage, anger and aggression. The levels of power these flames can attain are as follows;

Orange Flames: The weakest of Oishi's flames are rarely seen inside of combat. They are weak and do not tend to exceed the power of a household match. They can still be generated in large amounts and can very easily be used to burn through weak and feeble things like cloth, wood and humans, however, in combat situations (especially against another resident of Halloween) these flames are relatively useless and apart from few minor to moderate burns they can be shrugged off without too much of a bother.

Blue Flames: The most common flames used by Oishi in most combat situations, Hellfire requires Oishi to be at least somewhat enraged before its flames can reach this level. The blue fire is laced with reticent guilt from Oishi's past and the demonic power of his new life and as such the level of manipulation Oishi has over this brand of flame is significantly higher than that of his orange flames. When being manipulated in a specific way, the flames will form two small horns on Oishi's head (the horns increase in size with the intensity of the fire). Oishi can infuse the blue flame to his sword, direct the blue flame as a projectile or a beam and can even use the blue flame to propel himself into the air. Though... he rarely uses the latter technique as, in his own words, it can be a major issue when it comes to landing safely. Suffice to say, he has broken his legs once or twice in his three years of living in Halloween.

White Flames: A level of heat and strength that can be a danger to Oishi himself, the white Hellfire flame can only be used when Oishi reaches a level of rage high enough to drive him into an uncontrollable frenzy. The white flames are that which truly prove that Oishi has power enough to be considered a demon, they evaporate liquids in their vicinity, they burn through most magical and mortal forms of protection... at their most powerful they are even capable of melting the ground around Oishi into a pool of bubbling molten lava. The downside to this great power however is that Oishi has almost no control of the flames or his own will while using them... he is likely to hurt his allies and indeed himself while attempting to destroy whatever foe managed to drive him into this state. Indeed, it is almost a complete net loss when Oishi enters this frenzied state of being... the only positive being that whomever Oishi's opponent may be... they will need to use almost every trick in their arsenal to avoid being burned alive. Oishi, understandably, desperately tries to control himself and so far he has only been driven to this state once... on his first year in Halloween, he condemned two Reborn Dead and a single Reborn Living to hell forever... almost dooming himself to follow in the process, since then he has refused to allow his powers to rise above blue in strength.

WEAPON
Oishi uses a single one handed, long blade Katana which he has named "The Ivory Fang". Upon being reborn in Halloween, the sword was mysteriously present in his hand.

"I'm not trying to live forever... I'm just using what power I've got to take down any bad guys who are."

PERSONALITY
      ✦ Tenacious ✧ Lighthearted ✦ Rebellious ✧ Guilt-ridden ✦

In the past, Oishi Dojima was weak... he was tempted and corrupted by the world around him and he strayed from the path he had always wanted in life. He betrayed those whom stood by him in his darkest hours and in the end he forced the hand of his best friend... he forced his hand to stop Oishi's own... and then Oishi died.

But now, that has all changed. Upon being reborn without any addictions or needs for substances, Oishi recollected his own ruined mind and came to a realization... he did not have to be weak, he could be strong. He was strong. With this thought he gained a new personality, the personality that perhaps he had always been destined to have.

Persistent and tenacious are two words that one might use to describe Oishi at a glance... he seems fearless in the face of death and battle and these two traits give him the ability to never give up in his hunt for those whom he considers "bad" (i.e. the reborn dead), he has been known to enter into battles thought to be un-winnable for someone so new to their powers and newly reborn self... and he has been known to come out of those battles victorious. He has an oddly high pain tolerance and can really take a serious beating before falling down. He fights with a murderous intent, as everyone in Halloween tends to, yet there is something more there... at least in his eyes. An unwavering determination... as if Oishi is constantly trying to prove something. To his enemies? His allies?... To himself? He's never been one to talk about the source of his drive but it is most certainly there. It's almost like its impossible to make him give up unless you beat him so hard that he can't move any longer. This is both a positive and negative in Oishi's own eyes as, while he can keep going through an awful lot of punishment, he'll often get himself badly hurt for little to no good reason.

This tenacity, however, only seems to extend to mission objectives and the battlefield however... as outside of these Oishi seems to be oddly peppy for his setting. He likes to spend time exploring, messing around and eating candy (cause hell, he loves candy). He's a good guy with a lighthearted nature and he likes trying to cheer the more glum residents of Halloween up... well the ones he's not trying to kill anyway. Oishi views his rebirth as a second chance... a chance to be a good person, the person he had always wanted to be. His entire life is his penance... and his reward both. It's true he knows, that sometimes he can grate on other peoples nerves with his abnormally peppy attitude. But... well, he doesn't care. He wants to be happy, this is his chance to be happy, so he is going to endeavor to be happy. He tends to almost rebel against the very atmosphere of Halloween in this way, he refuses to be driven to being nothing more than a bitter, spiteful, lonely or insane monster like so many others. He takes solace in the way he takes out the reborn dead and the times he spends with the reborn living (even if they don't always appreciate his company). Even in his past life, he had never liked to conform... if nothing else, this part of his personality has stuck with him through the process of being reborn.

But not even Oishi can remain all smiles and upbeat forever... and the memories of his past haunt his every sleep. Blood... knifes... his dying mother... his crying brother... and... a single bullet, the piercing noise and ringing it created... and a sharp pain in his forehead that spikes up whenever those horrible memories return to him. He, in a single night, tore his family apart... all because he was a fool, a fool who couldn't resist temptation. He hated that...he hated himself... he hated knowing that he would never get a chance to say he was sorry, to make it up to his father. To make it up to his brother, his best friend whom he was sure now hated him above all else. That guilt rips him apart from the inside out... and the desire to make amends became the single reason that his soul refused to pass on.

"Gah! I'm sick of all of these condescending old crones! If you really think you're better than those with less experience than you... then stop talking and start fighting Jackass!"

It's that time of the year again, folks. It's the time when you may finally kill any enemy of yours and rid them of this world for good. They'll be banished to hell forever, never to return back to the unholy town of Halloween again.

In this town lay the reborn dead, those who seek to punish anyone they wish, and the reborn living, who seek righteousness in the afterlife, even after they have commit harsh crimes when alive. It is only on October 31st that they are actually able to kill each other for good, because on all the other days of the whole year, everyone goes back to being immortal. No matter what, they won't die until the special day of Halloween, thus giving the town its infamous name.

However this town is only visible to the dead, and the only dead who are able to see it are the dead that live inside this mist-covered town. No regular human can just find it out of the blue. Well... some humans are special... to say... Some want to die, and feel so close to death that they are able to see what the dead see. Others waltz in, most unknowingly, into the town on October 31st, where it's presence can be felt by many humans easily.

But they won't last long... Oh no, they will most certainly not. In that towns lies devils of all shapes and sizes, and they will take all that they can from the living down to the bone to feel alive again.

It isn't safe.

In fact.

If a human stays for too long... they may never find their way back out.

Their souls will remain with the devils in the undying town of Halloween.

"Hyaaaaaah!"

A flaming blue sword sliced through a particularly troublesome member of the reborn dead and Oishi closed his eyes and sighed with contentment and slight disturbance as he heard the ghoul painfully splutter through its final moments.

"This fighting is fun as always... but I don't think I'll ever be fully used to this damned killing. Oishi thought solemnly to himself as he turned to see the enemy ghoul fall to the ground and contort as the searing heat from Oishi's hellfire still burned horribly in his wound, Oishi couldn't help but notice how the charred blue flesh resembled charred wood in a way, only... meatier... and with blue embers rather than red.

"Still... gruesome as some of these deaths may be... I'm not gonna feel bad for murdering assholes like that. I freaking hate ghouls anyway... creepy." Oishi watched with apathy as his opponents body finally settled into morbid twitching... before suddenly stopping altogether. Dead at last... and burning in Hell to boot, Oishi smirked as he thought about how his powers were sort of like an introduction to what he assumed was the Hellish torment awaiting all the evil bastards that would die that night.

Flicking his sword idly, Oishi splattered the blood boiling on his blades surface to the ground below him, where it faded away with a satisfying sizzle. He was fully awake and ready to go and so far he had managed to murder five whole reborn dead... granted they were all very weak and they all had oddly similar fighting styles to boot, but a death toll was a death toll regardless.

Slowly drifting into an alleyway and fading out of sight, Oishi began to move subtly throughout the town, keeping out of the general field of vision and looking for some more Reborn Dead to challenge... unfortunately and unexpectedly his efforts came up fruitless and he quickly realised that he had barely run into anyone at all. In fact, it was eerily quiet. How annoying! "I had hoped to get some serious action tonight... not just a few has beens who were practically looking to die! Gah... if I have to wait another whole year to dish out some justice then I swear I'll flip out. With those thoughts flowing through his mind and a pout slowly creeping onto his face, Oishi took the period of peace to think about what he was doing. He had been in Halloween for three years now... and the town was as close to a home to him as anything, he tried to make friends... something easier said than done... but he had had minimal luck. Now, don't get me wrong, Oishi enjoyed his life of badass monster hunting and demonic vengeance, but if there was one thing that bothered him... it was how lonely it all felt. There was a large part of him that missed his family... and- "No..." Oishi shook his head, he wasn't going to let himself get dragged down into that train of thought again.

"Though I've got to admit... I wouldn't mind some friendlier company..."

***

Oishi finally stepped out of the alleyways he was frequenting, he wasn't finding anything worth doing there and he decided that if he really wanted a fight, then he'd take the risk and go out into the open for all to see.

Or at least... that's what he planned to do until he spied the scene unfolding before him, just a little bit down the road.

"Damn... is that... Arthur? The stall keeper? Oishi muttered to himself and his eyes widened in shock as he saw three people gathered around the old vendors stall, a werewolf whom Oishi recognised, guy by the name of Icarus Nikio, was holding an axe covered in what looked to be fresh blood... and the stall owner, a kindly old fellow named Arthur whom Oishi talked to often, had a massive gash in his back with the remains of the old mans blood slowly seeping out.

Enraged, but aware that he was outnumbered, Oishi quickly retreated to a nearby alleyway, confident that he hadn't been spotted in the process. He quickly scoped out the competition crowded around the dead body... he recognised two of the three. Icarus Nikio, a speedy and dangerous werewolf... the first real threat he'd seen all night. Larentina Renato, a witch with a certain sway over the dead, she had powerful necromancy at her disposal and the thought of dealing with her and Nikio together was already putting some doubt in Oishi's usually overconfident mind.

The third party, however, was someone whom Oishi did not recognize... he had heard a scream a few moments earlier (not something uncommon in Halloween) but judging by the girls expression... there was a real chance she could have been the creator of such a high pitched squeal. Was she maybe... recently killed? Oishi knew that residents of Halloween killed on the night of the same name didn't come back... they were gone forever, hardcore mode. But something he didn't know was wether or not newly dead people could be reborn here for the first time on this most hallowed of eves...

Still there was a large, glaring scenario that Oishi was up to this point ignoring.

"No way... is she... alive? Oishi's eyes suddnly widened with realisation. Hadn't someone told him that even the most subtly spiritual of humans could see Halloween in all of its glory on the fabled night of pumpkins and candy? Could this girl be alive? If so then... Nikio and Renato.

"Oh no..."

Oishi had to do something... he couldn't fight Nikio and Renato AND keep this girl safe all at the same time. That would just get them both killed... no he needed to get the girl away, hidden and safe, after that, any reborn dead that knew about her could be destroyed... and then he could try to escort her out of town. That seemed like the best idea he could come up with on short notice... the big problem however would be getting the girl to safety while keeping Nikio and Renato at bay... Gah! But by the way those two were looking at her he somehow doubted that he had that much time... he had to attack... or...

"Hey... that might just work... not bad brain!"

Focusing a small amount of hatred to flow through his veins, Oishi's arms ignited in a barrage of basic orange fire... he didn't need anything strong, just flashy.

"Alright damn it... here goes nothing!

Rushing out of the alley, Oishi flailed both of his arms outwards and a massive wall of bright orange fire erupted and set Arthur the Stall Keepers body alight, with the initial display completed Oishi increased his flames to blue potency by making himself that much angrier and manipulated them into forming pillars in the ground... these pillars would form a temporary wall around the Reborn Dead, cutting them off from their prey... the strain of maintaining these flames was intense, but they didn't need to last very long.

In the chaos he ran up and grabbed the living girls wrist, tugging on it harshly he attempted to pull her along with him. In the heat of the moment (Haha! Heat...) Oishi's grip was loose n easily resisted, so he relied on the girl following him and hopefully picking up on his intention of saving her despite how overwhelming the whole experience must have been.

"Hurry it up kid! Unless you want to end up like old stall man Arthur here then I suggest you start running... and fast! That fire won't stay there for more than a few moments... and that's assuming they don't remove it sooner!

Evey was more than a little confused to say the least and feeling very much sick to her stomach, with the smell of the bread stand fading with each passing second so the stomach churning smell that was the city called Halloween. It was a dense putrid smell that hung in the air smelling of sulfur and death, this with the combination of an ax murderer and now a pale woman approaching him it was all proving too much for her. She wanted to run or pass out but she had neither the strength or the weakness to do either, just then the woman spoke and her words did something that Evey didn't think was even possible they frightened her even more that the corpse laying four feet in front of her. Words like 'prey' and 'take,' "who are these people?" she thought to herself, "and what do they want with me?"

It was all very confusing for the young girl as she had no idea what this town had in store for her, trying to get a sane head she thought that maybe it was just a few people getting way to into Halloween and dressing up, maybe it was a prank. The stall keeper wasn't dead and the two strangers were only messing around, then something happened that dashed all her hopes of it all just being fake. The dead body caught alight with fire and pillars of flame separated Evey from the others, suddenly a boy came from no where and grabbed her by the wrist tugging gently. All she could do was sit there and look at him wide eyed more confused than ever, she thought this might be a trick, that he was just as back as the other two and that he was leading her into a trap perhaps a fate worse than death.

"Hurry it up kid! Unless you want to end up like old stall man Arthur here then I suggest you start running... and fast! That fire won't stay there for more than a few moments... and that's assuming they don't remove it sooner!" It wasn't until he spoke that she moved slowly stumbling to her feet and shakily moving her legs so as to increase the distance between the psychotic murderers and herself. Her legs moved slowly at first then picked up speed as they went not being an athletic person Evey had trouble keeping up and her short legs didn't help much either. Her camera flung to and fro around her neck so she grabbed it with her free hand to keep it steady as they ran.

It wasn't until she felt like they were a safe enough distance away that Evey stopped putting her hands on her knees and bending over gasping for air trying to keep her heart beat down her condition was kicking in at the worst of times and she was sweating like a dog feeling like a million degrees. Her breaths came sharp and quick tumbling over one another to get into her lungs she nearly fell over once but grabbed onto a wall for support. Then a thought occurred to her, "didn't the stall keeper say his name was Javis?" Her breathing calmed and she looked up at her would be savior, who had referred to the shop keeper as Aurthur, with skeptical eyes taking a few steps back. She held up her polaroid at the boy taking a quick snap the flash lighting up the dark night and hopefully temporarily blinding him so she could make her get away. Turning her back and him and running as fast as she could in the opposite direction she knew she wouldn't be able to run for long but as long as she got out of sight and maybe made it in doors then she would be fine and come up with a plan then.

The site of a human was almost as startling to Icarus as the site of death was to Evey, he knew that humans could enter Halloween Town but it was very rare so there was a few possibilities with the child, either she could see spirits and ghosts and the like or she was very close to the end of her life. These were the only cases of humans finding themselves in this town that Icarus had knowledge of, and since she didn't look like a medium he figured the latter was true. Keeping this in mind he figured he would have to deal with her in a minute determined to finish his would with the shop keeper he pulled his ax over his shoulder about to make more holes in the man when Laentina showed herself. "I didn't come at a bad time, did I? Icarus, do tell me... is this girl your prey for tonight? If she's not, I'm going to take her."

Icarus let his ax drop behind him as he flung his hands up in the air in exasperation, of coarse as soon as a diamond landed in his lap someone else would want to take it away. Making a small circle in the dirt he turned around to face the witch. Knowing just how dangerous she could be he weighed his options, on one hand he probably one of the only humans that would enter tonight a rare gem that he could use as a bargaining chip to get other things that he wanted. However, in the time that it would take him to out maneuver Laentina and get the human away he could've spent precious time finding three times the prey that one human was worth she was powerful and he didn't feel like tangling with her, the decision was simple.

The werewolf made a deep and sarcastic bow smiling wide, "why Madam Renato, of coarse you can have such a puny human I can find better prey in half the time." but just as he said this the dead body beside him was alight with orange flames, immediately recognizing the flames he jerked his hand back which was hovering over the body just a moment ago. Pillars of flame blocked himself from the human and he saw who he expected to Oishi, the fooling reborn living who was so young and so naive that Icarus hardly bothered himself with the boy. Even with Icarus' incredible speed he allowed the demon to take the human losing more and more interest by the second. as the flames died down he turned to the witch, "Well I wish I could say it has been nice but, well you know. I must be off." And with that he seemed to disappear all together blurring into the night with speed and grace.

He made his way to the clock tower his regular meeting place with a certain contact who would be very interested to know that there were humans getting into Halloween Town. Icarus knew from past experience that when there was one that more were bound to follow if there weren't any more in the city than there were bound to be some coming in. This was very valuable information and he was thinking that he could get a few bottles of alcohol out of his acquaintance, when he made it to the top of the clock tower, which resided in the middle of town, Icarus came to a halt tipping his head back and letting out a howl into the night. It echoed off the buildings making it seem ominous and eerie, it was the sign letting the Leviathan know that he had information so all that he needed to do now was wait for the guy to show.

Once the two were safe, Oishi let out a long and grateful sigh... had his plan really worked? He wondered, or had he simply been allowed to take the girl instead? He knew there was a massive risk in his plan, with Nikio's advanced speed... so much of a risk was it, that he was surprised at how well everything had panned out. In fact, he was almost a little disappointed, part of him had wanted to clash with those two old crones... damn idiots the lot of them were, a hundred years on him and what? That suddenly equalled to more skill and power? Ha! As if... he looked forward to the day he could flay even one of those bags of dust.

Still, he couldn't exactly hate the older residents of Halloween, many of the reborn living were rather ancient as well... and while they could be just as condescending, Oishi still considered such people on his side. Especially poor Arthur... if only Oishi could have arrived soo-

Wait a moment. Hadn't Arthur opted to hide away inside for that years festivities? Surely Oishi hadn't mistaken that old man for his friend... surely...

"I mean... I know the guy was face down over a stall, covered in blood... and then on fire... but wasn't he the only bread stall owner in town?"

Suddenly, a memory of last year popped into Oishi's head...

***

"Oi! Old man! What's with the weapon?!"

Oishi's eyes widened as Arthur, the elderly bread stall owner, stepped out of his house with a massive two handed crossbow in hand. Not only was Arthur usually rather against fighting... but seeing such a powerful weapon in such a frail old mans hands was just odd.

"Out of me way boy! My business is at stake! For three hundred and forty years I've held the bread market in this town under my wrinkled old palm... and this Javis fellow ain't gonna take that away from me!"

***

Blinking subtly Oishi facepalmed momentarily. To his knowledge, Arthur had failed in his assassination attempt... so the dead stall owner must have been this "Javis" character instead. What a relief! The old coot would live to see another year it seemed... still, he had made a clear blunder in calling the stall owner Arthur and he was sure that this human girl didn't need anymore confusion.

"Haha! How silly of me... I'll just correct myself quickly and then maybe I can help this girl understand what-

"GYAAAAHHH! MY EYES!

Suddenly a blinding flash of light emanated from the an object in the girls hands and Oishi found himself blinded completely by the flash. As he rubbed his eyes with a pained expression h heard what seemed to be the sound of running footsteps on the towns cobbled streets. She was running away! B-but... hadn't he just saved her?! Had he been too flashy?! Had he scared her?! There was no time to waste thinking, she was going to get herself hurt!

"H-Hey! Hold on a sec!... I'm not going to hurt- whoah!"

Still blinded from the flash, Oishi tripped over his feet and fell forward, smacking his face hard on the stones below his feet. Groaning loudly he heard the footsteps of the girl echo into the distance... and by the time his eyes had re-adjusted and he had put himself upright again... the girl was gone.

"...Oh for the love of FU-"

*Interlude*

"Stupid ungrateful little human piece of... gah..."

Oishi, with a frown on his face and a bruise on his cheek from his fall, kicked at the cobbles under his feet with annoyance.

"Honestly... you try to help people in this town... even those not native to here... and you're met with aggression... must be something in the god damned air."

He had looked for her, bless him, he still didn't like the idea of leaving her alone in Halloween to die of who knows what... but well when he had looked around the general area, he couldn't find her. For all he knew she was already some reborn dead's plaything. Maybe if he got some help from another Reborn Living... bah, they were probably too busy killing for whatever redemption they may have sought. But well, was killing the only way to earn redemption? He didn't think so... maybe that was what pushed him to try and help that girl in the first place...

"Hey... yeah... I can kill a thousand bad guys but everyone's doing that... what if I managed to save someone instead! I'd surely get some sort of self-redemption out of that right? It'd be just like some cheesy movie!

Smiling like a child and prancing off with a smile, Oishi decided that he would make an effort to find and help the girl in question! Even if it seemed somewhat pointless... or hopeless... or impossible... he'd keep trying and hey, maybe he'd actually manage to do something a little less destructive... and a little more compassionate.

Image"why Madam Renato, of coarse you can have such a puny human I can find better prey in half the time." The werewolf said to the witch with a smirk on his face.

The witch, in return, smiled back. It looked so normal, just like a regular person would smile if they were alive, smiling at a friend. But what she was, what she has done, and what she said didn't match with that smile of hers. "Well, aren't you mighty confident about a better catch, Icarus Nikio." Her green eyes laid back onto the human girl. Sharp, green eyes that located prey in an instant. 'How interesting it'd be to actually curse a living creature for once.' She thought to herself. 'Which curse should I use? The one that brings misfortune? Maybe one that causes constant anxiety and worry until death? Mm... She's young as well. Perhaps I should make it so that everything she touches rots and wilts? That'd be interesting to see... Not that it'd have much of any effect here..."

"If you're willing to hand over the girl though... I'll gladly take her." Laentine reached out a hand, as if to grab the human girl and take her to her house, most definitely by force, to begin a curse ritual. Only the largest diabolic curses were preformed in her own house. Others she could say a simple few words and it would be done. But this was a special occasion. She wouldn't waste such an opportunity with a petty curse. No... definitely not. Laentina was interested in giving this human girl hell for the rest of her life.

That is, until flames of orange caught her eyes. Laentina immediately pulled her hand back from the girl and scowled angrily when she realized the one stopping her was the demon, Oishi Dojima. "Damned reborn living..." Laentina cursed with irritation. Within an instant, her eyes focused on the young demon and began to mutter, "Deprecor perpes algidus-" However, just before she could finish her curse, he had grabbed the living girl's wrist and ran for it. Somehow, it caught the witch off guard, and cut her just before she was going to finish her curse with a last word.

It would have been terrible unfortunate if the fresh demon hadn't ran away in time; Laentina's curse was one that inflicted intense cold on someone and would never end until death. But he was already dead, which meant eternal cold until she decided to reverse the curse, which she really couldn't since removing curses were not her specialty.

She had no wish to pursue the two, however. It was Halloween night, and she took little interest in making an effort to get back her prey. Laentina was no fighter either. She was only one to watch the fights from afar, only taking action when absolutely necessary. 'I can wait until another human walks into town. It's far too much an effort to dive headfirst into a wild goose chase.' She thought with a deep sigh.

"Well I wish I could say it has been nice but, well you know. I must be off." Laentina heard the voice of Icarus behind her. When she turned around to end the conversation on her end as well, she found no one behind her. He was gone, just like that.

It didn't seem to surprise her much. Everyone in this town had to learn one day to disappear from sight to avoid being killed. Especially on the night where their lives were majorly put at risk. "Don't go getting killed so soon, boy." She whispered, although she was certain now that she was only speaking to herself. Then, she heard complete silence, as if the air was telling her it was time to leave the scene, before any other reborn dead, or living, showed up to hunt.

On her way back to her house, probably to attempt summoning another demon of her own, she heard a slight humming in the distance. It sounded very familiar... When she decided to locate where the unusual humming was coming from and find the person, she only found it to be Akachan, an oni who she actually favored quite a bit. "Not done hunting for the night already are you, Akachan?" Laentina asked her. The night was still far from being over.

ImageEvey had done more running in the past five minutes than she had done in her entire life time, but she told herself that she needed to keep going in order to live. However all that running was making her heart beat frighteningly fast so when she felt like she couldn't run any more she stopped leaning her back against a building sliding down until she was kneeling trying desperately to catch her breath. She was beginning to get scarred that she wasn't going to stop panting but after a while she stopped clutching her chest and the heavy breathing subsided. When that happened she started to cry, everything was happening so fast for her and she wasn't sure what was going on she felt like she was stuck in a horror movie.

After a few minutes she dried her tears and pulled out her cellphone to call the police but her cell had no reception and another stream of tears fell from her eyes. Shakily she got to her feet putting her phone back into her camera bag slowly walking down the cobbled streets setting out for a police station or a hospital as she had twisted her ankle while running and was now walking with a slight limp. She wiped her face noticing that blood had gotten on it from Javis hastily wiping it away with her sleeve, not realizing that she had missed quite a bit of it she left it alone instead pulling her attention toward her camera hanging around her neck. The picture she had snapped before was still stuck in the printing slot so she pulled it out and took a look, she finally got a good look at the guy who had "saved her" if she could even call it that.

He wasn't too bad to look at but when she took a closer look she saw that he had small flaming horns on his head, upon seeing this Evey nearly dropped the picture in a flailing juggling act finally catching once more. Getting to terms with the horns she looked at his face giggling at the surprised expression on his face candid shots had always been her favorite. Just then she looked up from the picture realizing she had been walking for a while and looking around to realize that she had no idea where she was. A shop door next to her opened it was an older gentleman who looked relatively normal in appearance and spoke kindly, "excuse me miss, but what are you doing outside? You must not be from around here, what's your name?" Evey gave a small bow before replying,
"oh, I was just looking for my way home, my name is Evey, sir."
"Please don't call me sir, my name is Aurther and you should really come inside." Just then a howl was heard that seemed to come from everywhere at once and that's when something clicked in her head and Evey realized that she had made a huge mistake. Ignoring that mans calls after her she jogged back in the direction that she had come from in order to find that guy from before hating herself for acting so irrationally, the problem was that she had gotten so turned around from walking and running that she had no idea where to look for him. She stopped jogging and instead took to brisk walking the limp still present but barely noticeable, she seemed to be going in what seemed like circles when she stumbled onto two figures none of which were her horned savior but one who she recognized. Taking in a sharp breath she froze unsure of what to so and hoping that neither of them had seen her yet.

"Oh God... No... What happened here?"

Oishi stood about a block down from the old hotel he often stayed at when he wasn't bunking with old man Arthur. It was as close to a home as anything was... and it served as a base for the Reborn Living, many of his fellows stayed their as a permanent lodging... and many of the few friends Oishi had lived inside of the the old building. The weakest of the Reborn Living were even finding shelter within the structure for the night of Halloween... he himself had helped to direct them there in the days preceding this night of bloodshed and slaughter.

What a fool he had been.

The doors to the hotel were bashed and destroyed and most, if not all of the windows had been broken... blood pooled from the openings as if many of Oishi's allies had been desperately trying to escape... but they never made it out. Oishi saw all of this and more in slowly increasing and gradually more gruesome detail as he rushed forward, panting as he forced himself to move quicker than he had any right to... making more noise in doing so than he probably should have.

Oishi had had a bad feeling ever since he heard that howl resonate throughout Halloween town, wether or not said howl was related to what had happened was unknown... but Oishi wasn't much in the mood for caring about such things. He was too busy lurching forward and attempting to hold in his vomit as he finally reached the front door. Blood and gore was plastered along the hotels walls and floor... bits of hair attached to crushed skulls and certain shapely pieces of meat that still looked somewhat bipedal gave Oishi an idea as to whom exactly had been killed... but aside from that there was nothing there but a bloody, rotting, mess.

Living in Halloween gave one a pretty strong stomach and Oishi had never expected to actually be rendered physically ill by a sight after his first year but... damn... He stepped back and held his churning stomach before steeling himself for the horror ahead and moving forward once more. However his advance was stopped by a corpse he noticed to the side. Turning with alarm and drawing his blade just in case an enemy had revealed themselves to him, Oishi looked to the ground to see a familiar face... another reborn living, an oni by the name of... Wakamaru? He hadn't talked to the man all that much, so he didn't know the details... but he was clearly dead... he had a bloody heart clutched in his hand, which put Oishi off further... but there was little time to consider that when there was still a whole hotel to check out... still, there was something painfully morbid about the whole scene. Wakamaru's hand was covered in blood and was for some reason pointing upwards to another blood splatter that-

"Wait a moment... what's that?

Oishi examined the blood splatter closer and realised that it wasn't just a random blotch, but rather a crude finger drawing... had Wakamaru traced this in his dying moments? The drawing was very rushed and messy... but Oishi could still make out a single word. "KILL"... the word was written just below what appeared to be three symbols... three eyes... what could that mean? Was it perhaps the insignia of the being who had brought this massacre into existence? Oishi didn't know... perhaps Arthur or one of the more experienced Reborn Living would know...?

Still, he hadn't the time to check it out then and there... it would have to wait until later. Oishi still had to check the hotel... maybe someone had survived? With that thought in mind, bolstering his resolve and steeling his stomach, Oishi stepped through the visceral gore at the front door and braved his way inside the dilapidated hotel.
