Race: Human
Appearance
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Height: 5'7
Weight: 126Ibs
Physical Description:
The most notable part of Gavin's appearance is that of his figure; slim and slender, no doubt as a result of the genes inherited through his father for his height and also as a result of him keeping fit and healthy. Though he does do his exercises as he aspires to be as strong as Evan who he looks up to, he does not go over the top and spend hours working out as what was the point, he wasn't in the military like Evan or his best pal from college, but he does enough so that he maintains his image since he is wary about the way he looks, not only his body but the clothes that he wears which have got to be comfortable and his hair to make sure that it doesn't grow too long, as well as keeping ontop of it so it remains soft rather than greasy. Like his hair which is soft to the touch, his creamy skin is also, his face well-rounded with his soft facial features and his eye-brows which are also maintained to make sure they do not bushy because that would be awful.

General Overview
Gavin follows his fathers' footsteps as a scientist in the pursuit of knowledge. As the maxim goes, knowledge is power, but it is how such power is used that is important. Gavin is against how the mer-people were being treated, sure they were the ones that started the attack in the first place, but that was only because humans were expanding on 'their' territory. Personally, he believes that they and the mer-people should be able to co-exist, now that the creatures are real rather than just a myth, but something tells Gavin that there are those who would rather remove them completely which concerns him greatly.
Growing up as a scientist, Gavin questions almost everything and curious about everything that he does not understand. He admires his father for how much he has accomplished, but he only wished he didn't have to rely on the government for funds and having to do what the government says which is also frustrating. Gavin is a likeable guy, he's friendly and approachable and he always tries to do the right thing whether it is acceptable to others or not. Sure there have been a few girls that caught his eye at school but who wants to be with a guy that can hardly protect himself and nevermind them. It is why he looks up to Evan who is able to protect himself by being the leading hunter to bring in the mer-people for his father and his team.
He is not one to seek pity, but he does speak his mind whether to himself or to others since thinking about it outloud helps him sieve through to the things that still held ground. Gavin may not be as strong as Evan or brainy like his father, but he does come inbetween and having the best of both worlds with their help, even more so since finishing school. Some of his plans work, some of them fail, but he learns from his mistakes and is quite persistant in making things work, like working on his own plan to free the mer-people since unlike his father, he is not being watched. However, to be able to work to their best, they had to do what drove them like scientists of the past, scientists certainly do not work so well when they are chained up. Gavin believes that maybe it is time to break the shackles.....
History
He also did not wish to let him down when he began tutoring him in science, something that he could not grasp or like at first, but as time went on, he got more and more into it, with science becoming a favourite to him as history has always been. Gavin was not a sporty person, but he did keep fit and healthy under the guidance of Evan who stayed with them now and again which was nice. Gavin wished he was stronger, but with the fights Evan gets in as he works under his father and the fights his pal gets in at school, he is quite content at remaining neutral and merely acting as support. With it just being him as the only child, Gavin had no elder siblings to look upto, but he admired Evan that he became a sort of big-brother figure anyway as he was the type, since big brothers are usually the strong ones who look after the younger ones which is what Evan did, so he certainly fit the bill.
Once school had finished, doing well at science and history as expected, Gavin left to aid his father since there was no way that anywhere else would satisfy and leave all that he had left behind. In this time, he has witnessed what the captured mermans go through and also came to realise his fathers' position when he begun getting watched which annoyed him. His father might be amazing and all that, but this was no reality TV show but real life! Despite his frustrations, he remained calm and just continued as normal while trying to come up with a way to set the mermans free but he didn't feel he was strong enough since he continued second-guessing himself, even when he was thinking aloud, but he knew he had to do something at this rate....
