โŒˆNameโŒ‹
Alexander Riedel

โŒˆAgeโŒ‹
20

โŒˆAppearanceโŒ‹
While he has no chance of being a model or getting through life on his looks alone, Alex has been told that he's quite attractive. His face, holding that same mild amount of tan as the rest of his body, doesn't seem to be able to look serious. It is always wearing some sort of smirk and a set of hazel eyes that are constantly looking around happily. The hair that frames such a sight is somewhat pale black in color and reaches just passed his eyes in the front, his ears at the sides, and his neck in the back. He also doesn't seem to be able to grow facial hair very well, only having to shave after long stretches of time, leading him to be somewhat embarrassed when he was around his other family members.

As for the body that holds this peculiar head, it stands at a height of five feet ten inches while wearing its lovely ornament. Along the length of this body is barely a trace of fat, leading to a rather slim and athletic figure; he won't be going out weight lifting with Arnold but he could handle a random street fight even without his powers.

He can usually be found in two types of clothing. His casual wear enlists the help of long sleeve shirts, jeans, and a fur trimmed coat, normally in dark colors. In more formal occasions he'll find himself in dress shirts, pin stripe pants, and oxford shoes. While he prefers his casual outfits, he'll reluctantly pull off most of what he wears and will only lightly complain and leave the shirt untucked as a sign of his displeasure.

โŒˆPersonalityโŒ‹
Alex was once an average person; he had a small group of friends, he laughed and played, he felt sad and angry. Now he had grown apathetic about the human condition, mostly stemming from his ability to know what each of them was thinking with the slightest bit of effort. Since normal people are all he has been exposed to, this has led to him spending most of his day incredibly bored and annoyed at the people who aren't able to end it. He is able to hide this behind a grinning face and personable demeanor; politely addressing others he hates and reacting with surprise to things he knew were going to happen, but it is bothersome for him.

When something truly does catch him by surprise he becomes incredibly happy and excited. Giddy might even be used to describe his reaction to such rare events, and he is always looking for people he cannot predict to increase their frequency. He hasn't found many and of those few he hasn't let any of them live, most of them being insane with their thoughts unintelligible and therefore useless.

โŒˆRelationshipsโŒ‹
Alex has connections throughout the city he resides in, it's sort of a necessity for his line of work. He has begun working with, or under depending on who you ask, Flawless to help achieve something he is not open to discussing with others. On a more personal note, other than his family, who he rarely contacts at this time, the person he seems the most attached to is September. She is the only one he has met so far with a mind he cannot see into, and therefore is the only one he is able to have a normal conversation with, regardless of whether the topic is normal or not. He frequently visits her in the slums and almost as frequently tries to convince her to leave it and move into his apartment; so far it has been unsuccessful.

โŒˆPowerโŒ‹
The stereotypical term for Alex is that he's a psychic. He can read the minds of pretty much anyone he comes into contact with using some concentration. A greater extent of his power comes from the manipulation of the minds he is peering into. The minds of the weak are easily turned into his little stringless marionettes; those with more will in them can be difficult but are not impossible to influence. When inside the senses, the thoughts, and their actions are under Alex's control.

Due to his intruding upon other's thoughts and twisting them around his finger, Alex has become quite intelligent. His sense of creativity also comes from the same origin.

Not even the objects of the world are beyond his control, for telekinesis seems to have been included in the psychic package. The last time he tested out this power with actual experiments, the limits he determined were as follows:

  • Maximum weight: 166.9 kg
  • Maximum number of objects: 14
  • Maximum momentum generated: 2387.9 kgยทm/s
  • Maximum applied force: 2052.8 newtons
  • Objects must remain in sight for proper control.

Of course he's always experimenting and discovering new ways to use his powers.

โŒˆEquipmentโŒ‹
He carries a pocket knife, an untraceable cell phone, and an mp3 player with him at all times. Anything else he needs can be easily lifted off the ground and brought to him or sent to whatever unfortunate person is about to receive his generosity.

โŒˆStrengthsโŒ‹
Knife fighting (He spent an entire day stealing the skills from the mind of a trained martial artist.)

โŒˆWeaknessesโŒ‹
He never found a need to learn to shoot a gun
Every time he uses his powers it causes a strain on his mind and can lead to unconsciousness if overused

History

โŒˆHomeโŒ‹
Alex has taken up residence in an upper class apartment building. The penthouse was unfortunately taken when he first arrived but that occupant somehow managed to get himself hit by a train. Eventually, after his business had bloomed to its current status, he owned the entire building, giving those working under him a place to stay.

โŒˆHistoryโŒ‹
Alex was raised the average American life; middle class parents, annoying older sister, and a hatred of schoolwork. This all changed on the day of a certain test he hadn't studied for, where began hearing the voice of the teacher. It contained the answers he needed but was also accompanied by a severe headache leading to him thrashing out in pain. Eventually this led to him falling unconscious and when he woke up he was strapped down to a bed in the nurse's office. He had apparently become violent in his sleep as well but after a few reassurances he was freed and told to make up the test the next day. When he retook the test he breezed through it, knowing every answer, the details about them, and was able to write an essay on a topic he knew nothing about the previous day.

These fits happened repeatedly throughout the year and Alex eventually found a way to subdue them, even focusing his new found key to knowledge on whoever he wanted. These allowed him to learn what he needed without losing consciousness, only becoming tired from the strain of it all.

When he got older, now able to explore the minds of the masses without such an extreme fatigue weighing him down, he began trying to send his thoughts out. It began as a simple voice in their heads but soon he was able to influence them. Having both heard their thoughts and had them obey his arbitrary orders, Alex grew apathetic with the friends he had made and began to simply play with those he encountered on the streets, knowing that what he made them do was more interesting than what they normally did.

Leaving his family and his hometown he traveled to the closest major city and began wandering the streets looking for good information. he found it in the mind of some senator's assistant; apparently someone had been spending a few nights with some prostitutes. Walking up to the assistant, he said that he knew about the whores and that he wanted some of the money the elected official could easily spare. Using this as a model he built himself up in the city as an information broker and sprinkled in the occasional blackmailing of influential people. Some money was sent to his family, but most of it he used to enjoy himself, something he couldn't really do since he gained his abilities.

While rising up the criminal ladder of power, Alex felt an intense hatred for a particular person. He was easily read but was able to resist his control. As he was forced to work with this certain person the frustration grew and grew until one meeting ended with a pen embedded in the annoyance's eye.

As the years went by Alex adopted the name Archon, something he had picked up in someone's mind and liked, and establish an incredible business in the city he now called home. When he heard someone new and interesting had come, he was incredibly eager, hoping they might be able to help satisfy his boredom.
