"We are Blood Bonds. You are my food source, my fledgling, nothing special. I do not have to like you, pathetic halfling.."

How This Mess Started...

The Heriotza Coven had lived recklessly for years. They seemed to get away with whatever Vampire Law they broke, The Council never punishing them simply because the Coven Leader was a smooth talker. However, most vampires are. Maybe The Council pitied them because their coven number was so small compared to the other covens across the globe. Whatever the reason, they got away with everything, causing other covens to despise them. The Heriotza Coven was known for not staying in one place for too long because their reckless killing of humans always raised suspicion. Surprisingly, though, The Coven has been living in Manhattan, New York for two whole years. They own a local night club called Eden that's all the rage, attracting humans and vampires alike. The Heriotza Coven members themselves are well liked by the humans(due to their mind control abilities), and even the rare vampire here or there who don't really know about them. However, one night changed their lives... Forever.

It was a Saturday night like any other. Club Eden was jumping, packed to the max, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Tyler was tending to the bar like he done every night, along side Adriana who, like always, was swaying her hips to the music. Kasey was entertaining the crowd with her dips, spins, and twirls on the small platform which was her "stage," along with Maria, her "partner-in-crime." Dalton was managing security all on his own, it was easy enough, and then their was Eldric...
Eldric, if you couldn't guess, is Heriotza's Coven Master. He was in his office, tending to paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. Grant you, he'd rather be out dancing with an unsuspecting mortal woman so he could, later, have a midnight snack. But noooo, a monthly report to The Council was due and poor Eldric was scribbling on the sheet furiously, on a Saturday.. Night. Everything was rather normal, or seemed to be, that is until a rogue vampire burst through the "office" window sending shards of glass shattering across the room.

To keep this short and sweet, let's just say Eldric handled the rogue on his own, but doing so he broke one of The Council's sacred rules.. One of the rules all Vampires vowed to follow no matter what the circumstances:
NEVER KILL YOUR OWN KIND

It's easy to say Eldric was brought in front of The Council not two days later; news travels fast in the vampire society. Along with him was his coven. No, they did not physically kill the rogue vampire with Eldric, but that's part of being in a coven. Right when you join one you are giving an oath to stay by you Coven Master's side no matter what. They were to be punished with him, and the were not happy about it.
The Council decided to punish the Heriotza Coven in a way which, in some immortals' eyes, seemed worse than death.

THEY WOULD EACH BE GIVEN A BLOOD BOND

That may not sound too bad to a mortal like yourself, but that is because you most likely do not know what a blood bond is. It is like a ball and chain to a vampire...

A Blood Bond:

- A Blood Bond is a mortal(a human) that a vampire is forced to partially change into a vampire, turning said human into a "Halfling" as vampires refer to them.
- A Halfling is looked down upon in Vampire Society because they are not completely a human nor vampire. They do not belong anywhere. They might even be looked down upon worse than a human itself.
- For a vampire to perform the "Blood Bonding Ritual" they must slice open their own neck and have the human(or prey as they're called) drink from them. This mixes their blood with the humans. Then, they must drink from the human, but not completely drain them like they would in an actually feeding, or like they would when fully changing someone.
- Doing this it forever ties the human to that vampire. The vampire can then feel the halfling's pain, happiness, etc. (The Vampire then becomes the Halflings "Creator.")
- If the human is not called a Halfling or simply a "Blood Bond," some vampires call them "Fledglings," which are young, inexperienced vampires. Most like calling them more degrading things, however.
- Once a Vampire and Human are Blood Bonded, said Vampire craves that human's blood more. It really does draw them to it. Their blood becomes sweeter, but only to that one particular vampire, the human's "creator."
- Once blood bonded the Human will live as long as the Vampire lives. May it be one hundred years to one thousand years. It does not matter. They will also not age, like a vampire, they become immortal. However! Once their Blood Bond(the vampire) dies(for good), so will they.
- A Human that has been blood bonded (a halfling) is a bit stronger than the average human, and a bit faster, but not like a full-blooded vampire. They can control a human's mind like a vampire, but not as well.
- A halfling also craves blood once in awhile, and needs it like a vampire, yet.. They can only drink from their maker/creator. This can cause a problem, if their maker/creator resents them.
- The Vampire is fully responsible for their Blood Bond. If said blood bond breaks one of the Vampire Laws, the vampire is immediately punished along with the blood bond. Most of the time it ends in death. (Technically, the vampire is like the little halflings parent. =P)
- Unfortunately for the Vampire, no matter how hard they try, most do develop feelings for their blood bond. May it be a parent-like relationship, sibling-like relationship, or lover-like relationship.. It happens. Most vampires try to go against it after first, definitely if they're forced to have the Blood Bond. However, it is their fate, eventually.

When the Heriotza Coven were told they were being forced to have a Blood Bond, they all became quickly enraged. All turning towards Eldric for answers. He was calm, cool, and collected like always. He told his coven that they would deal with it. They could, and have, handled every situation thrown in their way, what was a few pesky blood bonds? He had no earthly idea...

The Plot:

I'm leaving the Plot pretty open. Just follow the character roles, and don't be adding things to the story. =P Here it is, short and.. Well, sweet. XD
Like you've, HOPEFULLY, read above, the Heriotza Coven has been punished by The Vampire Council with having to create a Blood Bond with a human The Council chose for them. Their Coven Master, Eldric, decided there was nothing they could do about it. The Council was made up of a group of the oldest vampires still roaming the earth; hence the reason they're Elders. They could not go against them.
So, they created their Blood Bonds. Now Eldric is ordering that they go back to their normal lives. Which is, living in Manhattan, running the club Eden. This time they would not run.

However, now they have six little, no, no big problems to handle. Their confused and disoriented Blood Bonds. Along with running a club they must keep an eye on the halflings, and keep them on a tight leash.

There will be many fights, confusion, blood, lust, gore, and romance ahead..

Yet it is all up to you. (Figured we'd make up events and such as we got along, just have fun with it!!)

[If you're wondering how The Council found and picked out the humans for The Coven, it's pretty simple. They didn't. The Council stole the humans from their homes, knocked them out, had the Heriotza Coven perform the Blood Bonding Ritual, and that's it, folks!] The role play will start with the Humans(Blood Bonded, Halflings, whatever you want to call them) waking up in their Creator's room. There their Creator will have to explain everything.. Then they have a club to run!

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR IDEAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW EITHER THROUGH OOC or PM, PREFERABLY PM, it's a bit easier. XD

Things to Know:

[font=times]Vampires-

- They're eight times faster, stronger, and lithe than a human.
- They must have blood at least twice a week or they'll become very weak, and eventually start killing mindlessly. (Older vampires can just feed once a week and be fine.)
- Most have no sympathy towards the Human Race, looking at them like scum beneath their feet. The Heriotza Coven thought like this for a very long time, a couple still do.
- The Sun does not turn vampires into dust, but it does irritate their skin. The older a vampire gets the easier it is to stand the sun. However, most prefer night time. (They DO NOT sparkle. Period.)
- A Vampire can control when or when not their canines elongate into fangs. Yet, when they're angry or thirsty it just happens, unless they have a lot of self control.
- When they're thirsty or angry their eyes turn a liquid silver in color. Unfortunately, this happens when they're "aroused" as well..
- They're predators. Simple. When angered sometimes they growl and snarl, like a cat. They do have feline grace.
- They heal quickly from many injuries, unless their head is taken off(the only way to kill a vampire, they must be burned afterwards). The older a vampire is, the quicker they heal.
- When feeding they can make their bite either pleasurable or painful. It all depends on the vampire.
- All vampires have the ability to control ones mind. It mostly only works on humans, unless the vampire is really old. They also can talk telepathically to pretty much anyone, human and vampire alike.
- I'll add more when I can think of it. Check back periodically, please and thank you!

The Coven-

- They've all been together for centuries.
- They are literally like a family, looking at each other like brother and sister, mostly.
- They argue a lot.. Like a family. Some do not get along, but in the end they have each others' backs.
- They live in their own apartment, house, etc, but are usually together during the day. At the club or just out and about.
- Eldric has "Coven Meetings" here or there when he feels the need. When this happens they meet at the club.
- Will Add More, look back! =D

CHARACTERS/ROLES:

Before you even glance at the Characters you might want to read this. This role play is slightly based off a book I am writing. I have the characters "carefully" laid out, and I want them played with at least a tenth of accuracy. I'm leaving them a little open to change. However, I WILL NOT have absolutely illiterate people in this role play. (This is a LITERATE role play) I cannot stress that enough. Be willing to type at least three paragraphs(five sentences each paragraph at least) a post, using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling to the best of your abilities. I understand mistakes, I make them many, many times myself. I'm just asking for effort, please. =T Anyway! On to the roles!! =D
P.S. You do not have to use the picture proved, but you must use the same Actor/Actress in your character sheet. More than one picture would be great!!
P.P.S. Just to let you know.. The Vampire's names aren't their "actual names." Since they were born so long ago, their true names are a bit.. Different. Therefore, they changed them. Dalton, Adriana, Tyler, Kasey, and Maria, that is. Eldric kept his true name, not caring..

Eldric; The Coven Master
Image
Age: Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Years Old(5,239) [Looks: Around 24] Face Claim: Kellan Lutz Status: TAKEN
Eldric is the Heriotza Coven's Master, their Leader. Whatever he says goes automatically. He is described as Cocky, Alluring, Stubborn, and a bit Sarcastic. He's definitely more reserved because he has to be, representing the coven as their leader, naturally. (You may add things to his personality, just got with it! =) )

Dalton; Eldric's Second
Image
Age: Four Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Nine Years Old (4,869) [Looks: 23] Face Claim: Liam Hemsworth Status: TAKEN
Dalton is Eldric's Second, like the Beta in a wolf pack. Eldric consults him with many problems. He's described as Quite, Mysterious, and Charming. However, do not let him fool you, he can be rather violent when needed. (You may add things to his personality, just gooo with it!! =P) He works security alone each night Eden is open. (Of course, that will most likely change when his blood bond gets use to him. She'll have to help with security)

Adriana; Regular Coven Member
Image
Age: Three Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Two (3,472) [Looks: 22] Face Claim: Ashley Benson Status: TAKEN
Adriana is one of the younger members of the coven. She joined when she was 2,197 years old. She works the bar with Tyler unless she is walking around dancing on slow nights. She's described as Bubbly, Friendly, and a bit too honest. She always speak her mind, not having a filter. Gossip, gossip, gossip.. (You can add things to her personality, if you'd like)

Kasey; Lead Fighter
Image
Age: Four Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Nine (4,699) [Looks: 20] Face Claim: Christina Perri Status: TAKEN
Kasey appearance screams "Rebel!," and it's true. Compared to the other two females in the coven, she is more.. Rebellious. To catch up with the times she's got many tattoos over the years, only adding to the look. She's Eldric's lead fighter for a reason. Although her and Eldric do not get along (because Eldric sees her as a bit of a bitch), her fighting is excellent. Kasey is described as Snobby, Selfish, and a little Conceited. However, she is forever loyal to her Coven. (May add things to her personality) Kasey, despite her personality, is the main dancer along with Maria.

Maria; Regular Coven Member
Image
Age: Two Thousand One Hundred Nine (2,109) [Looks: 17] Face Claim: Chloë Grace Moretz Status: TAKEN
Maria is Kasey's best friend. It may seem surprising since Kasey is so cold to everyone, but there is reason behind it. Maria is Kasey's fledgling, not her blood bond though(don't get them confused). Kasey created Maria when Maria was only seventeen years old, hence the reason she looks young. She is a dancer in the club alongside Kasey, naturally. She is described as Quiet, Sweet, but Bitter(she's learned from her creator). However, her quiet nature rules. Other than Kasey she gets along with Dalton fine. (May Add to Personality)

Tyler; Regular Coven Member
Image
Age: Four Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Two (4,772) [Looks: 22] Face Claim: Louis Tomlinson Status: TAKEN
Tyler joined the coven when he was only eight hundred twenty-one(821) years old, which is young in vampire terms. He runs the bar in Eden with Adriana. He's described as the goofball in the coven. He's Funny, Mischievous, and too Loud time to time. However, he's serious when the time calls for it. (May add to the Personality if you wish)

Now for the Blood Bonds. I'm not putting names for them, so that's up to you! Actually, I'm not putting anything. Know what that means? You're going to have to fill out a History and a descriptive Personality!! =P Where they lived before they were taken, what they were doing, etc. C'mon, you can do it..

Eldric's Blood Bond
Image
Age: Nineteen(19), fixing to turn Twenty(20) Face Claim: Megan Fox Status: TAKEN

Dalton's Blood Bond
Image
Age: Twenty(20) Face Claim: Lucy Hale Status: TAKEN

Adriana's Blood Bond
Image
Age: Twenty-Four(24) [He just turned 24 two weeks ago] Face Claim: Ian Somerhalder Status: TAKEN

Kasey's Blood Bond
Image
Age: Twenty-Two(22) Face Claim: Ben Barnes Status: TAKEN

Maria's Blood Bond
Image
Age: Nineteen(19) Face Claim: Colton Haynes Status: TAKEN

Tyler's Blood Bond
Image
Age: Twenty-One(21) Face Claim: Mini Anden Status: TAKEN

"..Your Blood Bond will try testing your limits any way it can. May it be verbally or physically. Are you strong enough to handle it?"
- The Council

Character Sheet(s):
Like stated above you do not have to use the picture proved under the character role. But, whatever picture you use it must be of the Face Claim provided. Impress me with the Character Sheet, if it is Descriptive and Neat it will most likely cause me to accept you. =P People can compete for the Character Role you're going for, even if it's reserved. Therefore, do what you must! More than one picture of the character would be great! =3
Erase Everything in ( ) <--Brackets, Please and Thank You!! =)

Tyler Feliciano Firefield
~ Tyler's apartment~

The sunset was beautiful.

The sky was blood red with a tint of yellow and black as the night fought to dominate the sun. The light flickered weakly behind a tall building and disappeared completely from view as the sky darkened and darkened until it was nothing but pitch black. Far away, a few light began to come to light as the city seemed to wake up from its deep slumber. This is the city of the night. On the 15th floor of a tall building, a young man was looking to the outside world from his window. His eyes closed as if he was simply enjoying the warmth of the sun. The weak light caressed his pale skin and emerald eyes opened. He had always loved the sunset...they were the only rare times that he actually enjoyed the sun. Sighing softly, the young man reached out his hand to uncover the thick curtain that covered his window. He looked into the room...it was dark and glumly but surprisingly tidy and clean. On the nightstand laid a carnivorous plant - the Venus Flytrap as the small plant moved gently because of the night gale like it was a living, breathing creature.

The young man moved across his small room and rearranged a stack of papers on a nearby table before moving the chair to sit squarely in front of his bed. On the bed, there was a sleeping woman. Her dirty blonde hair covered her face as she seemed to be sleeping quite uneasily. The young man frowned as he saw that she hadn't woken yet. He reached for her, intended to remove the dirty blonde locks from her face but decided to against that idea in the last minute. It was a pity, really...if she was a vampire, he would love her very much...she was so very beautiful. He looked at the dark room and a thoughtful look appeared on his face. He would be fine without turning on the light because of his better vision but what about her? Thinking hard, he finally decided to turn on the bed lamp, a soft golden light enveloped both him and her. He looked around, searching for his diary. At last, he saw it on a chair and he cocked his head to a side, seriously wondered how it got there. He picked it up and moved to sit near the bed again.

Opened the book with a little to no noise, the young man looked at the name written on the first page 'Tyler Feliciano Firefield' - His name. The young man - Tyler began to write the first line of his thought.

'Dear Diary,

I'm sorry for neglecting you for so long, I just had a feedback for the last 3 days and I was honestly in no mood to write in you. Now, I have calmed down a little so the first thing I do is write into you. You know what? The past week was a mess. My family has just undergone something terrible. Eldric messed things up this time - big time. Apparently, he killed another vampire. Until today, I just couldn't think what's the big deal about it. It's just a vampire and it was not like the world would run out of vampires anytime soon but noooo, the Council decided to 'teach us a lesson' and that involves a blood bond, or a lot of blood bonds if you get what I mean, Diary. I was given one, too...what a drag! As if nobody knows I hate humans...Well, she's a hot chick alright but that doesn't change a thing about it...or make it easier for him, you know.

And can you believe that I have sat here for a whole day just waiting for her to wake up? No? Me neither...but well, it's not a choice. I can't risk her running around like a headless chicken and accidentally gets herself killed. It's bored as hell, I'm telling you...All she does is sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep...what a pig! If she's a vampire, I would love to have some hot chicks on my bed like her but oh well, guess I don't have a choice. It's a pain in the ass and just plainly annoying by the seconds. Well, I might try to be polite to her but I don't know if I can do it...I just hate humans and she's after all, a human...well, that's not completely true but...jeez! You get my ideas. The point is...I don't think I can stand her, much less thinking tha we have to bond for LIFE! I don't even know her name and it's so confusing. I'm not planning to take a bond at this time...I still have to many things to do rather than being tied down by a mere human.

I'm ending it here...don't really have the mood to write anything else productive enough and I fear that I might turn you into a piece of junk the more I rant how unfair life is to me so...until next time, heh?

Tyler Feliciano Firefield'

Tyler closed the book and threw it on the nightstand where it landed with a thump, laying dangerously near the Flytrap. He buried his face in his hands. He felt so exhausted, mentally and physically. Normally, it would take a hell a lot more for him to feel this tired but what had happened in the past week simply pushed him over the edge and made him cranky. Tyler sighed...His life was doomed. Sending a look at the subject of his ultimate doomed life, Tyler scolded. She had better woke up soon. He didn't think he had the energy to watch her sleep anymore...One, she was using the bed that was his and two, he hadn't had food for a day now...he was hungry and pissed and on top of all, he couldn't even dump all his problems on her head. He was a fair person and he hated humans in general but he couldn't use her as an outlet. And he would lose a large portion of his money buying her supply...He hated his life!

"Ya'd better wake up soon, halfling...I hate boredom" Tyler mumbled to the woman as he continued to watch her from the chair next to the bed.

Eldric Caine Devine

Once again, the busy streets of Manhatten distracted the Coven Leader from the matter at hand.

He was stuck in this room when he could be somewhere else. Anywhere else. However, business came first. With a sigh, Eldric forced his head to turn and glare at the sleeping form on the guest bed of his home. Why wouldn't she wake up? An excited shriek made him jerk his gaze away from her and to the window. He adored Manhatten. It was by far the most intereseting place he had settled in a long time. With all of it's uniquer people and places to go.... It isn't hard to find food. It's also easy to get it. The woman are so easy to charm and manipulate. It was kind of funny but at the same time it was pathetic... not that he had a problem with that. But it has been a while since he met any women with a bit of backbone in them. Ah.. speaking of women, Eldric leaned against an abony colored wall, shoving his hands deep into his white sweatshirt pockets, and glaring at the unresponsive form. His annoyance was coming back and the vampire sighed. He had work to do and places to go. This Saturday would be wasted if he just stood here all day.

His eyes darted around the sparse, clean room. He had always had an extra room but it was never used before. Now this girl would be the first to reside in it. There wasn't a single piece of clothing on the carpet floor and beside the queen sized bed was a simple but elegant dresser. Nothing else. He couldn't help but to notice that her dark hair blended in with the blackness of the walls, making her bronzed skin seem pale. Her eyes were closed and he could see each distinct eyelash. He was impressed. They were naturally longer than even the fake eyelashes some girls wore. Her lips were red and he could feel himself getting hungry. For what, he wasn't sure, but he controlled himself and chose that moment to look at the rest of her.
And was surprised.

She was sexy.

How had he not seen this before? Eldric frowned as tried to remember his thoughts from when he had first seen her. Ehhh, guess he was so annoyed that he refused to even look at her. He rolled his eyes at himself for his childish antics. Then he went back to looking at his new blood bond. Her legs were so very long which would result in a tall height. Eldric liked tall girls. She actually had some muscle on her too. She was toned and fit. Well, that was nice. Tall girls that had no meat on them were disgusting and had no appeal. Eldric smirked. At least she was attractive and would fit well with his coven. Maybe she might even be amusing, even for a little bit.
Eldric knew he was being stupid. His coven, and himslef, thought poorly of the human creatures. Their education was limited and conversation was dull at it's best. Most had no backbone or will of their own and were very stupid. The Blood Bonds may be accepted with some coaxing from himself but they were never be welcomed. Their coven was small but they were powerful, in more ways than one.

Her skin looked really soft. Eldric wanted to touch it but held back. He would touch it later when she woke and he would be able to judge her.

The window was opened and the city noises were calling his name. He sighed again and went back to staring at the new woman he was stuck with. She better be interesting or he'd be pissed.

Lily Sofia Wildrose~ Tyler's apartment

Blurry, and confusing images flashed through Lily's mind. Drowsy and with a major headache, the person in front of her made a small cut on his neck, and forced her lips against it. The most images where too blurry to understand. Then he bit her. It's was very confusing- her eyes kept going out of focus the more she fought back. She didn't know this person- but he seemed just as pissed off as her.
Her sky blue eyes flew open. The was just about the strangest dream I've ever had. She thought to herself, stretching out her limbs like a long, lean cat. She slowly took in her surroundings. Where am I?

Lily sat up and brushed her reddish, dirty blonde curls from her face as her sky blue eyes looked over the room. Then she saw him. There was some guy sitting, watching her. Her eyes locked with his lovely, emerald eyes. Alright, was she laying in this person's bed? Narrowing her eyes slightly, she looked over him. He wasn't bad looking at all. Well, if she was waking up in a strangers bed at least he was handsome.
Yes, it was a little creepy that he was just sitting there watching her sleep, but she chose not to be too bitter. After all, she was fully clothed and unharmed. In he sleep she was very expressive, though. It was easy to tell what she was dreaming about from either her soft murmurs and twitches, or her very quiet cries of fear. Lily stood up quickly, and suddenly felt lightheaded. She stumbled and held onto the nightstand to keep her balance. She pressed the palm of her hand against her forehead and closed her eyes for a second before letting go of the nightstand and looking up at him. She held her head high, not cocky-like, but as though warning him not to mess with her. She stood there for a second, looking him over. His face felt vaguely familiar.

Pursing her lips, she watched his enchanting green eyes and contemplated what to say. "I'm Lily Wildrose." She told him, deciding to be polite. "And who, exactly, are you?" her voice was slightly wary, yet also deep and sultry. She usually wasn't this polite, but she had no ideas where she was, so she figured that it was her best shot to al the very least be civil.
She rested a hand on her hip and raised one brow questioningly. "Please spare me of any embarrassing details, but how did I end up sleeping in what I assume is your bed?"

It was late, the only outside sun's rays dying and the only light came from a lamp next to the young man's bed. The fading sunlight gave everything a pinkish glow, that lightened her soft features. In the soft light, he didn't seem very threatening. He seemed a bit annoyed, though. She wondered how long he had been watching her sleep. Lily tried to push her disturbing dream from her thoughts- it had seemed so real, though. . . .

Adriana Marie Lennox - Adriana's Apartment

Adriana sat on the couch, her long legs stretched out along the length of it as she made sure to keep checking on the front door of her apartment. Her blood bond was in one of the smaller guest rooms, her own bedroom locked to bar his entrance there as she still did not trust this man who she was to be completely responsible for. Responsibilities. How Adriana disliked to have them but, oddly enough, she managed them rather well. Hopefully the Halfling in the other room would be as simple as her apartment or Club Eden...

" How boring," she sighed softly as she stood in one fluid motion, immediately moving to go check on the object of her thoughts. The male in one of her guest bedrooms.

Upon reaching the door, the blond opened the door slowly to peek in and check on the sleeping human within. No, human was incorrect.. He was definitely a Halfling now. She could smell his new scent as it saturated the air with every breath he took and released, his heart still pumping the little human blood he had left and working harder than a human would have been able to take. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she felt excitement take hold within her, excitement at being able to meet the man quite soon.

And, no.. Adriana hadn't really met him yet.. She'd never known his name when he was given to her and she had been told to change him into her Blood Bondmate or die. It was obvious by the shadowed form on the queen sized bed what she had chosen.

She leaned against the door frame and took a deep breath, rolling her aqua orbs in vague annoyance as she glanced at the windows. They were heavily curtained but you could see slivers of light if it was daytime.. Which, apparently, it wasn't any longer. Her gaze shifted to the blanket covered male, " Can you wake up...?" She gave a sigh before adding, her tone slightly annoyed, " You sleep a lot."

As the lovely vampire said this she had stepped forward, into the room, to stand beside the bed and tentatively reach out her hand to shake the hu-Halfling awake. " Hellooo?"

Kasey | Kasey's Apartment

Kasey had done just about everything she could do while waiting for her latest ball and chain to wake up. Cards, push-ups, a little TV. Nothing seemed to kill the time fast enough, as she could have sworn the same three numbers had frozen on her digital clock for about five minutes. Now she stood in front of the stove, frying up some bacon in a skillet. Of coarse she wouldn't eat it. There wasn't a physical need to. However, she was still hopeful the smell would wake up the man on her couch. His hair was all over the place and his arm dangled off the couch, but he was still attractive. Kasey wouldn't deny that. Maybe if things were different she'd make a move and take him in as her latest plaything. However, thanks to one person's mistake, she was being forced to take care of him. Like a child. The thought made Kasey scowl at the food she cooked. One thing was for sure, though;

She wasn't going to let him ruin her guest room.

Kasey cut the fire off and tossed the skillet to the side, the bacon still cracking a little. It didn't look like anything was going to wake him up. At least, not anything she did. And she'd tried multiple things. In reality, she was just hoping whatever she did to prevent her boredom would happen to wake him up, too. But that wasn't happening, and Kasey was done trying. No, she'd just wait for him to wake up on his own and soon enough he'd realize he was in a strange woman's apartment. She smiled at that. She honestly couldn't wait to see the look on his face when he came to.

Kasey walked out onto her apartment balcony. Leaning onto the railing, her bangs fell into her eyes a little, but the view was unaffected. Cars and Taxi's flooded the streets like ants as the sun faded away. It was always interesting to look at, even for someone like Kasey. Out of all the places she'd lived in over the years, none struck her like New York. It was perfect for a vampire. People out at all times of the night, doing all sorts of things. You didn't need to be strategic when you hunted; just walk outside in heels and your best outfit. Sometimes it was easier than that.

Just thinking about it made Kasey's mind flicker back to the man on her couch. She never got to finish what she started and ended up with a blood bond. But at least he was something to look at.

If only he'd wake up.

Dalton's Apartment: Dalton

Dalton stared down at the woman in his apartment or, to be more specific, his bed, partly annoyed and yet, partly curious. He never brought women into his room. When he lusted after a particular female human or, in some cases, vampire, he went to them and he preferred it that way. His apartment was special, almost sacred to him. No one but himself and his Coven were permitted to enter and had this human arrived in any other circumstances, he would have killed her. However, these weren't just any circumstances. The Elders, in their infinite wisdom, had seen it fit to shackle himself and his entire coven with Blood Bonds, humans that were turned into halflings and bound to their sire, in order to "teach them a lesson." Dalton grimaced. Were he a thousand years younger, he would have had the audacity to add those old bags of undead flesh to their coven's list of kills, but that was not be. Instead, a woman lay in his bed, curled up in his velvet sheets and sleeping the night away while he was wide awake.

Dalton's apartment was richly decorated. Of course it was richly decorated. He had lived for over four thousand years and had gained and lost tons in treasure and war loot, particularly in his prime, back in the time of Greece and later, Rome. Back when the Celts spread throughout Europe, conquering the land and subduing it only to yield to to the might of the Roman Empire which crumbled from within and was at last swept away from barbarian hoards. Yes, over that time, he had collected much wealth, but what he prized above all were the weapons armor that dotted his walls. Javelins, Spathas, spears, bronze shields, iron shields, chestplates, katanas, axes, etc. he had them all. Some were replicas and others, these he kept in glass cases, were ones that he actually used throughout his long life. He stood in front of a particular pilum, a Roman throwing spear, and frowned slightly. That one's point was still sharp even as he had replaced the wood a century ago as the original had long since rotted. Shaking his head, he surveyed the rest of his collection and smiled at a full set of bronze armor.

"The Trojan War... If there is any proof of human stupidity, it was the belief until recently that it was a myth," he told the sleeping figure idly. She hadn't woken up yet and he had occupied himself speaking of particular artifacts. He placed his hand over a samurai's helmet, "The most recent counterpart to those heroes were the Samurai and firearms took them away too. You humans detach yourself too much from killing. Now, millions can be killed at the push of a button. What a waste."

He sat down next to the girl and smiled slightly, "Wake up soon, halfing. The only component of this modern world I am fond of is the nightlife and we are wasting moonlight."

Kasey's Apartment: James

James was having quite a confusing dream. It was blurred, as though he were not quite conscious or lucid and filled with fanged figures as well as a constant ache at his neck the deviated from being extremely painful to extremely pleasurable and back again. He groaned in his sleep, fighting to open his eyes until a smell reached him. Was that, bacon? His eyes finally managed to open and he took in a view of his surroundings.

He sat up and frowned slightly at the pain in his neck. Now that was unusual, as was the fact that he spotted an attractive young woman that he had no memory cooking breakfast, or, at least he thought it was breakfast. Looking out the window, he saw it was night and he frowned. How long was he out? He couldn't have been out for too short awhile and yet, being knocked out from night to the next seemed far too long, even given his sleeping habits. He groaned.

"I swear that if Johnny slipped me some new drug from Africa into my drink, I'll murder him."

That's when he remembered. He was drinking somewhere with a couple of his friends. They were about to call it a night and he ordered one more and told the others he'd catch up with them later and then, nothing.

Finley Jackson: Dalton's Apartment

Finley stirred slightly when Dalton sat on the bed. She was half awake, but she still had her eyes closed. A thought about getting up crossed her half conscious mind, but she pushed it away and snuggled deeper into the soft sheets. She heard a slightly familiar voice telling her to wake up, but she ignored it as best she could. She wasn't ready to wake up yet. As she was about to fall back into a deep sleep, her mind jerked her back to the surface.

Her sheets were not this soft. Who's voice was that? Andy's? No, it couldn't be. These thoughts were racing across the front of her mind, but she lay still as if she were asleep. Then the events of last night flooded over her current questions. She didn't go out last night, she was staying home because Maggie was supposed to come over today. Today? What was today? Was it still last night? Finley had no idea. Her mind raced as she tried to remember what happened. It hit her like a ton of bricks. Even though she had been slipping in and out of consciousness the previous night, she knew what had happened. She had been taken to a strange place and been forced to drink someone's blood. The same man then in turn drank her blood. "That would explain the pain in my neck." She thought, still slightly asleep. In just a split second, the horrible memories played before her like a movie, and thinking back on it, she was filled with many different emotions. Hunger, desire, pain, terror, but the strongest of all was pleasure.

Finley sat up straight and her eyes flew open. She almost knocked heads with the man sitting on the bed by her. She would have screamed, but she seemed to have lost her voice. She was so scared and in such a hurry to get away from him, she fell out of the bed and landed on her butt. She scrambled away from him as quickly as she could and pressed herself against the wall. She sat with her arms around her legs, rocking back and forth slightly.

"What.. What happened last night? Who are you? What did you do to me?" She said. her voice was panicked and almost even a whisper. Her entire body was trembling. She felt different and she needed to know what had changed in just a short amount of time. "Oh God. I drank your blood. I think I'm going to be sick," Finley said and put her hand over her mouth. She looked pale in the face and her eyes were filled with terror.

She tried to look anywhere in the room, but at the man with her. She saw all of the weapons lining the walls "Oh, God. He's going to kill me. This is how I die. She thought as her fear heightened. Tears welled up in her eyes and her body was racked with tremors. She was shaking uncontrollably. She stopped looking at the weapons to prevent herself from thinking about all the different ways he could kill her. She found herself staring at the man again, waiting for him to make his next move.

Tyler Feliciano Firefield
~ Tyler's apartment~

Just as Tyler thought he was about to explode with the utter boredom, the woman stirred. Blinking, Tyler watched as she stretched her arms and legs then slowly, she realized she was not in her house. She looked confused but Tyler didn't say anything. He didn't want to startle her just yet and besides, he wanted to see her reaction, too. She focused on him and Tyler fought back a smirk as she seemed not being able to recognize her. But a thought crossed his mind and made him sulk again, well...that only meant he had to explain everything to her...God hated him. Tyler sighed heavily and watched as she struggled to stand up, apparently trying hard not to look like a weakling. 'Her determination is admirable compared to some other humans...but she'll always be a weakling compared to me' Tyler thought a little too smugly. They both studied each other, challenging each other to see who would speak first but Tyler would not give in. Finally, the girl pursed her lips and spoke first:

"I'm Lily Wildrose. And who, exactly, are you?"

She sounded wary of him and Tyler shrugged mentally. He would do the same in her case...wary, suspicious...she would not make a too bad blood bond. Please don't be mistaken, it would be a day when hell froze over that he liked this situation but he would just try to well...find the pleasant point of her to make his life easier. He was stuck with her for life after all. Sighing mentally and repeating his mantra over and over again 'Be patient...be patient...be patient...', Tyler breathed in and out deeply. When he deemed himself calmed enough to explain the whole situation, he pointed to the bed and said politely to the girl, carefully kept his voice neutral "Please take a seat...this will take a long time to explain so let me make you a cup of tea...and my name is Tyler Feliciano Firefield."

He looked pointedly at her and stood up from his uncomfortable position. Walking to the kitchen, Tyler took out two teabags and began working, looking at her to make sure she wouldn't see what he was about to do, Tyler cut his finger and allowed several drops of his blood to fall into a teacup. Watching as his cuts healed in a matter of minutes, Tyler held the tray and put it on the nightstand, offering the girl her teacup and took the one without his blood. Sipping his tea calmly, Tyler said finally "You should drink your tea...it will make you feel better". As he saw the girl opened her mouth to talk, Tyler stopped drinking his tea and looked at her expectantly. Well, what did she want to say anyway?

"Please spare me of any embarrassing details, but how did I end up sleeping in what I assume is your bed?"

'Straight to the point, huh? Very well...I'd better explain it to her...can't really delay it...it will only make a bigger mess' Tyler thought with another sigh, this time it was not a mental sigh. He put the teacup on the nightstand and said very, very calmly, almost too calm for someone who hated humans. "...Very well, Lily Wildrose...to put it very simply, you're not a complete human anymore" He paused, waiting for the knowledge to sink in. He raised a hand to stop any kinds of question from her. "And before you ask any more questions that I have no doubt that you have a lot, please...drink your tea first. You will find the tea more...special than normal and no, it does not contain drugs of any kind or poisons...After you drink it, I will explain the situation to you."

He picked up his diary and carefully tucked it in his bag to keep it safe, it would not do good if he let her see his deepest, darkest secrets. He crossed his arms and looked at her, waiting patiently. Thankfully, he was in one of his calmer mood, else he didn't know what he would do in situations like this.

Kasey | Kasey's apartment

She heard him stir in his sleep before she heard the quiet moan he made. Kasey watched him sit up and look around, a confused look on his face. She could tell he was trying to remember how he ended up here. You didn't attempt to concentrate like that for no reason. Either way, she was relieved he finally woke up. Any longer and she'd have to resort to drastic measures. Kasey didn't want that halfling to make her late for job at the club, even if she didn't care for the people there and had a new reason to add to the Eldric Devine is a fucking idiot list. Kasey ran a hand through her hair and cleared her throat. Unlike the others, she assumed, she wasn't scrambling for the right words. She didn't plan on trying to keep him comfortable or break everything down into easy to understand portions. Why should she? For one thing, it was out of her nature to not get straight to the point, and two, she didn't choose to be stuck with this roach. So he'd have to deal with whatever he got. She had places to go and things to do.

"I swear that if Johnny slipped me some new drug from Africa into my drink, I'll murder him."

Africa? "Oh god, don't tell me I got the weird one," Kasey scoffed as she walked back into the room. She stood a few feet from the couch with her arms folded and an observant stare. The staring part was actually unintentional, but she was curious about the new guy despite having negative feelings about him. He certainly wasn't very tall for a male. It still looked like he tried to work out every now and then. Long hair wasn't really her forte; maybe she'd cut it in his sleep someday. That is, if he was still sleeping in her apartment tomorrow night. Kasey rolled her eyes. He'd probably be her roommate for a long time, seeing as he was her responsibility. Though, it could always be worse.

He could have been ugly.

Kasey sat down on the coffee table in front of the couch, pulling her legs up so that she was sitting Indian Style. "Whatever you remember happening probably did happen," she stated, leaning back onto her hands. She knew he had been drinking with friends before the group split up. More than likely he thought he had gotten so wasted that the rest of the night - going home with a girl, staying in her apartment - was just out of his memory. "And while I'm establishing things, try not to interrupt, princess."

"I'm a vampire. I belong to a vampire coven, and our leader's name is Eldric. Let me tell you about this piece of work, he's the reason we're all in this mess. Since he - Eldric - broke one of the vampire rules, we're being punished with Blood Bonds - that's you." Kasey gestured toward him, "so you're my blood bond, meaning I'm pretty much shackled down, with you being the shackles, if you weren't smart enough to get that. And, yeah... you're a half vampire."

Kasey listed out the facts and nodded at the end, feeling like she explained the story decent enough. Was there anything else to say? Maybe it was her pride, but she didn't want to bring him to the club to find some other vampire cluing him in. That would mean she wasn't doing her job right, and Kasey always did her job right. Unless you ticked her off. Then she'd slack off just to mess with you, but on any other case, she did her job.

"I'm your creator; you're welcome," Kasey started again, though she wasn't grateful in the least. She was trying to tell him as much as she could and answer questions later. "I have to watch over you, I feel what you feel, and if you get in trouble, my ass get's busted, so don't screw up, halfling." The last part was laced in malice, and a serious threat. She wasn't going to sugar coat her personality for him. And if she was lucky, he'd be one of those passive types. She prayed he was, at least. Passive vampires and people didn't go against authority or try to voice their opinions.

Should she tell him how he was created? He'd probably ask on his own, but why not beat him to the punch? "It's only logical to assume you want to know how you came to be a blood bond," Kasey nodded, standing up. She hated sitting for too long. As she made her way through her apartment, she walked into the kitchen and leaned against the counter. Her nails tapped against the marble. "You drank my blood, I drank yours," she shrugged like it was the most normal thing in the world, "welcome to being a vampire. Or, something close to it, in your case." She shot him a sarcastic grin and waited for the questions to pour in. "I'm Kasey, by the way."

~Maria-Maria's apartment~

A high-pitched whistle snapped Maria out of her daze, her mind wheeling back into the real world. She glanced over at the man laying on her couch and let out a soft sigh, pushing herself out of the comfortable window seat she'd been daydreaming in. The presence of the man in her apartment made her slightly uncomfortable, but she'd just have to grin and bear it. Well, probably just bear it. Lifting the kettle from the stove top, Maria pulled two mugs from the cupboard and filled them with the steaming liquid. Dropping tea bags into the mugs, she made her way back into the kitchen and set them down on the coffee table. She hated the idea of allowing this guy in her apartment, more so letting him be part of her life.

Walking over to the couch, she looked down at him, taking in his appearance again. His hair was tousled from sleep, his lips parted slightly as he snored softly. His expression was so...relaxed. She had to admit, he was pretty attractive for a human, which only caused her to raise her guard more. The whole idea of taking on a human blood bond didn't really phase her, but she still needed to be careful. She had no idea what this human was like, let alone how he'd react to this whole...arrangement. Well, she would just expect the worst. She almost didn't want to wake him up. He looked so peaceful and he still had no idea what was about to happen to him. She'd be happy to leave him there and letting him remain completely oblivious to the situation. Right now, as he slept peacefully, she looked at him with sadness and envy. Brief memories of her human life flipped through her mind for a moment and a frown etched itself across her face.

She picked up a water bottle sitting on the table and unscrewed the cap, Slowly, she tilted the bottle over until water spilled over the top and splatted onto the man's face. She figured he was a light sleeper, judging by how he didn't even stir when the kettle whistled. A smirk replaced the frown on her lips as she pushed the depressing thoughts of her past life from her mind and focused on the task at hand.

"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty." She tilted the bottle more and emptied the water onto him, soaking his hair and shirt. Sure, this probably wasn't the best wake up call, but she figured she should have fun while she could. She dropped the empty bottle onto his stomach and walked over to the love seat across the coffee table and sat down, settling into it. Lifting the mug of hot tea to her lips to hide the smirk that spread across her lips, her green gaze settled on the man as she watched him from behind the rim of the cup.

Calder woke up to the sound of someone in his ear as he felt different . He could no longer hear his heavy heart beat anymore and it was the fact that the pure coldness that surrounded him was like a death by roses and roses of pure cold death. Before he awoke hours before he was at the bar looking around for something to drink.

Calder looked at his cup and then back up at the woman who was staring silently at him with her vile eyes. She was a very attractive woman who caught his attention as soon as he walked into the bar.Calder handed her a hundred dollar bill and she took it gradually and then she paused for a moment as calder shortly walked out of the bar out of his mind.

He slowly looked around a corner to see something moving in the shadows and then out of despite darkness he was bitten and all was black for now.He could feel the brutal ground hitting his body as all he could feel was the wind on his body and a voice telling him to be quiet and to rest.

For all he knew he thought this was a dream and the fact that him missing his niece was a little bit in his mind right now because he wanted to see her again as he wouldn't even know if she would even remember him.Over the time as he slept.

Calder had awoken to the sound of a girl with blonde hair and beautiful features who almost took his breathe away but in fact, the thing that caught him the most was that she or someone took him here and since he was drunk that night he would've known something like this would happen but not usually to him.He leaned towards the girl." Do you atleast know why i'm here and what's this place ? ". His questions were starting to blur as the memories were coming back to him. Who was this girl in the room with him,and what point did she ever have with him in a lifetime.

Richard-Maria's Apartment

A high-pitched whisteling pierced trough his foggy mind but he let that go as his mother making her usual morning coffee, which meant that he would have to be getting up soon. Do the dishes, finish the laundry, get his brother up and ready for school, make breakfast, and the list goes on. A few more minutes of sleep wouldn't hurt anyone, and he could sure use it considering that job that he'd just gotten had really wiped him out. Unfortunatly, it seemed that it was demanded of him to be awake immediatly as he felt water being poured on his face and a female voice telling him to get up.

Annoyed was all he could think that would describe how he felt about this but he wouldn't give his mother the satisfaction of rising a reaction out of him. She'd been doing these sort of things a lot lately, her excuse was that he should open up more and to hang out with people his age and to have fun and enjoy life. Richard just thought that she was being delusional, nothing good ever came from opening up to anyone, all it did was make you vulnerable for betrayal and heartache. He'd thought that she would've learned that by now when his father walked out on them so many years ago.

He gave it a few seconds for the water to stop before he sat up and calmly wiped the excess water off of his face so that he could see before throwing his feet over the side of his bed to face his mother with a blank stare. It was then that he noticed that he wasn't on his bed but on a couch and that it wasn't his mother in front of him but some girl, in fact he wasn't even in his own home. He looked at her blankly for a few seconds, confused as to why he was here before deciding that he didn't care and stood up looking for the door. "I apologize for the intrusion, thank you for your hospitality, but I have to get going now," he said evenly as he spotted the door and made his way to it to leave.

Lily Sofia Wildrose
Tyler's apartment

Lily watched the young man in front of her carefully, more curious then wary. Finally, the stanger spoke. He told her to take a seat, and introduced himself as Tyler Feliciano Firefeild. As he spoke, his face was blank and his voice was deathly calm. Pausing to look at him, one brow raised questioningly, she slowly sat down on his bed and tucked her legs under herself. Her sky blue eyes never left his emeraled ones until he left the room to make them some tea. She had never been a huge fan, but she could tolerate it.

When he went off into the kitchen, Lily leaned on her elbows and looked up at the ceiling. She bit her lip, trying hard to remeber last night. Tyler felt undoubtably familar, but her memories where fuzzy and the more tried to remember, the more of a headache she got. Pressing two fingers into her temple, she sighed heavily. Her mood was declining- why the hell was she here, and why was Tyler taking so long to answer?

When Tyler entered the room with two cups of tea, she sat up and brushed her hair from her eyes. He handed her a cup of tea, and she looked at it curiously when he said she would really like it, but assured her it wasn't drugged. "Oh, sure, thats what all the serial killers say, right before they poisin their victims." She joked, as a strand of hair fell back in her face. But she didnt really think that Tyler would hurt her- he had made tea for her, allowed her to sleep in his bed, and watched over her while she had slept.
Why kill her now?

Shooting him a daring smile, she tilted her head back and took a big sip of the warm liquid. It was slightly bitter at first, but quickly became much sweeter and she visibly relaxed as she swollowed. "You where, right, its actually not half bad. I usually can't stand tea." she told him, with a rare, small smile. Lily took another sip and moved to the side, making room for him on the bed. It was his bed, after all, and he seemed uncomfortable in the chair, and she was in a bit of a better mood. The tea made feel warm and calm, but that sweet taste she recignized. Her brow furrowed for a moment as she thought.

"So please tell me Tyler, what happened?"

Dalton's Apartment: Dalton

"What I did to you was no more my choice than it was yours," Dalton told the girl evenly. Inwardly, he was slightly disappointed. Her behavior was that of a typical human girl in a strange situation. Part of him had been hoping that his blood bond would have some courage, given that he was going to be stuck with her for the rest of his foreseeable future. He sighed in annoyance, noting that she had almost knocked down part of his collection. She did not even make a grab for one. She reminded him of a frightened rabbit at the moment.

"Calm yourself. You will find that you are in no danger from myself, a condition very few people left in this world may boast about. I am Dalton Leonidas Ser Ulric, halfling, and our lives have been inexorably intertwined by the decree of the Council of Elders. I am a vampire and have murdered and devoured the blood of humans for over four thousand years. I am part of the Heriotza Coven, a... retirement from my previous profession, if you will. The leader of my Coven, Eldric Caine Devine, committed a grave crime in the eyes of the Council. He murdered a fellow vampire and brought their wrath down upon the rest of us. Our only saving grace was that it was done in self-defense, otherwise myself and the others would doubtlessly have been beheaded and immolated. Instead, we have each been sentenced to create and care for a Blood Bond."

He paused for a moment, allowing the depth of the information he imparted upon the mortal to sink in, "A Blood Bond is a human who has been partially transformed into a vampire. He or she is neither fully human nor fully vampire, trapped between the two natures. You were assigned to me as mine and I had no choice but transform you into one. Our spirits are intertwined and, eventually, you will need to drink my blood to survive."

He reached for a shelf by his bed, where he kept most of the liquor he had in his personal possession. Grabbing a glass, he poured some red wine and offered it to her.

"Drink. It will calm yourself. It must be quite a shock, I'm sure to find that vampires are not myth after all. Oh, and to prove I am not simply mad or in a cult."

He placed the glass down and drew a knife, cutting the palm of his hand and showing it to her as it healed itself.

Kasey's Apartment: James

"Oh, like you do not have weird friends either."

James was about to make another joke when Kasey interrupted. To say that he was taken aback would be an understatement. Vampires existed and he had the misfortune to be abducted by them? It sounded like something he might write. Indeed, he was jotting down the details in his head, happy to have some new material for a novel after he managed to escape and call the cops on the cult of madmen/madwomen who were convinced that they were vampires when one sentence struck him.

"You drank my blood, I drank yours."

James had always thought that your jaw dropping was just an expression, a good literary device to use instead of the bland statement that the character was surprised or shocked. However, at those words, his jaw literally dropped as memories surged through his mind, blurry images of his neck being pierced as pain and pleasure engulfed him and he eagerly lapped up the crimson liquid offered to him. Inwardly, he felt like he was going to vomit. He swallowed, pausing for a moment to think about what he should say. At least the vampire before him wasn't bad-looking. No, she looked like the type that he would try to pick up at bars or nightclubs in any other set of circumstances. She was quite attractive with a body toned but not disgustingly muscular and a few sweet tattoos from what he could see of her. After a full minute of silence, he spoke.

"Just one thing. If you sparkle or go on about about having to protect me, I'm killing myself before you can say "Breaking Dawn". I'm James Stephens by the way."

Dalton's Apartment: Finley

Finley blinked the tears away from her eyes as she listened to Dalton. She knew she should still be scared, but for the moment she felt calm. She believed him when he said she was in no danger of him. His voice was soothing. She listened to what he said about devouring humans and her stomach churned again. She almost laughed when he got the the "assignment" part. She didn't like this, she didn't belong to anyone. Her stomach flipped when he told her she would have to drink his blood again, then she tried to sooth herself by reminding herself that this guy was absolutely nuts, and that she wasn't going to be drinking anyone's blood.

She let go of her legs and reached out to grab the glass of wine. She wouldn't refuse liquor, especially not red wine that looked expensive. She closed her eyes and stretched out her legs. She sipped her drink and listened as he spoke of the fact that vampires were real. She almost snorted, but when she opened her eyes, he was cutting his own hand. She opened her mouth to speak, but something in her shut her up. She saw the blood and her mouth began to water slightly. She bit her lip, wondering what this feeling inside her was. It was almost like lust, and hunger all mixed together. Then, it was gone. His hand healed right before her eyes.

Before she could stop herself, she leaned forward again and touched the palm of his hand, completely fascinated. "How did that happen?" She said almost to herself. Her mind began to race. She crawled up on the bed again, feeling foolish. If he had wanted to kill her, he could have done it already. And if he had any bad intentions, why would he let her sleep in his own bed? She pulled the sheets over her legs again. She closed her eyes and let the information sink in. "You're serious. You're really a Vampire," She said it as a statement, although she meant it as a question. Somewhere between her brain and mouth, she had answered her own questions without ever saying them out loud, and she spoke the answers. She took another drink of her wine. It was delicious. "I'm a.. Vampire? No, what did you say? Halfing. I'm half vampire, half human." She licked her lips and took another drink. She set the glass on the night stand and rubbed her face. She ran her fingers through her hair and tried to get some of the tangles out. She took a deep breath and then sighed heavily.

"My name is Finley Jackson." She reached out for her glass and downed the rest of the wine. She had a feeling he wouldn't appreciate this, because wine was meant to be enjoyed, slowly. She knew this, but she wanted the alcohol in her system. She needed it. As the alcohol made it's way into her blood stream, she finally stopped shaking.

She didn't want to, but she was beginning to believe him. She had a million questions to ask him, but she decided to start off with something he had already mentioned. "What does it mean that our "spirits are intertwined"?" She asked and looked at him. She found it was very hard not to look at him. He was extremely handsome, and his eyes were a gorgeous grey color she only dreamed about.

Eldric's Apartment: Haylee

The raven-haired girl twisted and turned, velvet sheets wrapping themselves around her legs, imprisoning her. "What are you doing to me?" she groaned hoarsely as a memory danced around in her thoughts of the night before. Remembrance of being cradled while in a drunken-like state. Muted voices speaking of punishment, then of a blonde male. He had been the one who was holding her, but she could not quite remember his face, the details of it. Though, she could remember his mouth. It was placed at her neck.. Then the pain came. That pain was only short-lived though, which she was grateful for. For not long after that pain started she fell unconscious.
"Sto-opp.." Haylee Gammon groaned, jerking upward slightly as she finally roused from her sleep induced state. However, she did not open her eyes just yet. Her long fingers curled around the velvety fabric she was covered in, brows knitting together in clear confusion. This most definitely was not her quilt from home. Where am I? she wondered, blue eyes finally fluttering open. In seconds she was sitting upward, the quick motion making her dizzy. Placing her right hand on her head she squinted, gazing around the room. "What the Hell?" she spat, eyes meeting a man across the room who was looking directly at her. A blonde man who struck her as strangely familiar.

"I swear I know karate.." She began slowly.. "If you even dare get close to me you will have wished you hadn't." The threat was feeble, but it was worth the shot. In all honesty, Haylee never took karate. As she watched the man across the room she began patting herself down. From what she could tell all her clothes were in place. She had not been violated, thank goodness. But.. Her cellphone! It was gone! So much for calling 911.. she thought sourly. Keeping his gaze, she slipped from the large bed. As soon as her feet hit the floor she felt unsteady, legs shaking and almost giving in under her. However, Haylee grasped onto the bedpost, exhaling loudly, as if annoyed. Her blue orbs quickly traveled back to the blonde male.
"Why am I here?" she asked curtly, jutting her chin and lifting it a bit. She was scared to death. Her insides seeming to twist and turn with anxiety. However, she was good with not letting emotions show. She kept a passive front. Though it was probably not smart talking the way she was to a guy clearly larger than her, she didn't care. You could say that was one flaw to her personality: Not caring.

Once her legs and feet started working "properly," Haylee began edging herself around the fairly clean and neat room. She finally let herself really look around. From the looks of it, who ever this guy was.. He had money. The bed was king-sized, the sheets were the smoothest things she had ever felt, and the bed was extremely comfortable. She didn't gaze around long, hard icy blue eyes back on her "kidnapper."
"If you want money, I barely have enough to buy myself a greasy Mickey D's cheeseburger. If you're wanting to sexually abuse me, you have another thing coming.." she announced, narrowing her eyes into a permit glare. Finally, she paused, being across the room from the man. Then, she stubbornly crossed her arms, waiting for him to speak.

Eldric Caine Devine** His Apartment

His eyes watched her with amusement as her form twisted and turned. Words coming out of her mouth in mumbles he could hear clearly but ignored. Her fingers twitched and grasped the sheets he had found for her. She looked confused even though her eyes had not yet opened. Eldric let a smile make its way onto her face as she finally woke up, raising her head. She had pretty eyes... Icy blue... hot.

"What the hell?" His smile turned to a grin. Funny girl... His eyes still on her face. Her expressions were quite interesting. Then she spoke of karate and he was actually surprised. Eldric wasn't used to human women actually knowing how to do something worth while.

"Ahh, you know karate? So do I, maybe we can spar some time." Eldric kept his voice smooth and blank. He had also mastered judo, tae kwon do, aikido, hapkido and many other forms of the martial arts. It was really amusing to watch the girl pat herself down, searching for something or making sure everything was in place. He was starting to lose interest though and looked out the window, seeing it was getting dark. Work. He needed to get to work and make sure the rest of his coven was working as well.

"Why am I here?" She asked. He almost didn't answer her. He was itching to get outside. This girl was wasting his night. But.. she seemed liked the persistant sort so he figured he might as well get it over with now.

''You're here cause I killed a vampire that attacked my club.." Eldric growled out the last word. Just remembering the night pissed him off. This wasn't even his fault. If someone attacks you're supposed to defend right? That's all he was doing but no.... they called it murder of their own kind. Well, in his opinion, some of them were better off dead. "You're my blood bond. I drank your blood and I you drank mine. Now you're like my... pet of sorts"

Was that explanation too vague? Eldric frowned slightly, he could have put in a bit more effort. "You're my punishment actually. I did something I wasn't supposed to do so they ordered you to be my blood bond to... calm us down a bit. Now you're basically a half vampire. A fledgeling as we call it. You're stuck with me and I'm stuck with you. I'm sure we can find you something to do."

He had to chuckle though when she spoke of money and sexually abusing her.

"Girl, I've got more than enough money and if I want sex," He smirked. "I'll get it." It was just way too easy to lure the women in these days. A couple of prety words here and there, and they were yours to do as you desired.

"I think I've told you all you needed to know. This here will be your bedroom." He moved his arm in a sweeping motion. "My name's Eldric by the way." He grinned at her.

"Welcome to the coven."

Dalton's Apartment: Finley

Finley. Now that was an unique name. At least she did not go by a dreadfully common name such as Jane or Susan. He watched in amusement as her eyes trailed over the blood that dripped from his palm. Already the bloodlust was kicking in. Good. It would be tedious to convince a new Blood Bond who absolutely refused to drink blood to drink his own in order for her to survive. After all, if she died of starvation, Dalton had little doubt that he would not outlast her for long. At her question about being linked, he paused for a moment, considering how he'd explain a concept that he knew only theoretically at the moment.

"I... Feel what you feel: Happiness, anger, sadness, despair. I am also told that I will eventually desire your blood above that of any other human. It will taste sweeter to me and me alone. As for you, you share in my immortal life. You will not age or grow sick from mortal illnesses and you will live for as long as I live. This could mean you will live for over a thousand years, but if I should die, you will die with me. We are also... connected. A bond will develop whether we like it or not. This bond differs between pairs of vampires and Blood Bonds, but it can be that of a parent/child or sibling relationship or we may develop into lovers. Truthfully, I have no way of telling but should it become sexual, your body is... adequate," he explained to her patiently before smirking over at her.

"You will find that your physical strength and speed is superior to that of a normal human, but you will never be as strong nor as fast as a vampire. Truthfully, I do not know if the sun will irritate your skin or not, but that point is moot. My Coven runs a club, Eden that is open only at nightfall. In fact, it is past time that we should be there. I am in charge of its security."

He stood up, approaching the wall calmly before selecting a katana, complete with a kanji-covered hilt. He murmured, "A Fourteenth century model. Flashy and new. Should intimidate the humans I suggest you select a gladius, a Roman short sword. There is a collection of them, modern replicas and my own from the days of Rome by Pompeii's shield. If an unfriendly vampire arrives, I suggest a swift stabbing motion should he attack you. It should wound him or her long enough for myself to arrive. Of course, I suggest you deal with humans unarmed. Do you know any martial arts?"

Kasey | Kasey's apartment

Kasey was waiting for the moment when he'd break out in hysterics or disbelief or try to argue with her. Through her whole explanation he seemed to be thinking it over, but lacked any extreme emotion. In a way, it was a relief. Kasey wasn't good with overly emotional people. Plus, that would make it really hard to not break her new blood bond's neck. But it was entertaining to see his jaw drop the way it did. Only a human or a halfling would loose their calm like that. He looked utterly sick at the thought of them drinking each other's blood. However, she'd seen equally 'horrific' sights on the news and throughout her life. Grinning, Kasey stood up straighter and looked over at him. "Close your mouth, boy." She had to laugh at the end, though.

"Just one thing. If you sparkle or go on about about having to protect me, I'm killing myself before you can say "Breaking Dawn". I'm James Stephens by the way."

"Oh, a Twilight Series reference - how original," Kasey rolled her eyes, adding emphasis to the last two words. Those jokes never got old. She looked back over at the food she had cooked earlier. No one was going to eat it or need it, so she scraped it into the trash and cut the water on in the sink. It took a few seconds to rinse it out, and once she was done she dried her hands off with a cloth. Really, his lack of questions surprised her. He must have been one of those people who believe anything you tell them. Not that this was a lie, but wouldn't that explain him accepting this so quickly? Suddenly Kasey decided to just not think about it. Why question a good thing? For all she knew, Eldric, Dalton and the rest of the coven were probably drowning in questions.

"I hope you didn't read those books," Kasey raised an eyebrow, thinking about what he said again. It felt logical to assume he didn't; he was a grown man. But why would she pass up the opportunity to mess with her newest victim?

Kasey kneeled down, looking through her bottom cabinets for something to drink, something she always did before she went to the club. Matter of fact, it was probably past time for her to get there. "So... Mr. James Stephens, anything interesting I should know about you before I find out by surprise?"

Eldric's Apartment: Haylee

When the mention of karate was brought back up Haylee simply narrowed her eyes more. Was he trying to be intimidating now? "Oh that would be just swell! Maybe then I could braid your hair, and you could braid mine?" She was being sarcastic, naturally. Maybe even a little more than that. But, it was to be expected. Haylee knew she shouldn't have went out last night, she had a bad feeling before even leaving her house. Going home with a guy was one thing, but this was definitely "taken against one's will." Why would she ever go home with a guy like this? She let her eyes travel the length of him, once deciding he was not going to full-on attack her. She gave a gentle snort.

He was not ugly, that was for sure, but she definitely remembered him from last night. He was the one with the painful lips. Yes, she remembered him.. "You're here 'cause I killed a vampire that attacked my club.." This statement slapped Haylee in the face. At first her expression twisted into one of confusion, then her lips twitched. Not able to fight it, a laugh tumbled past her lips, causing her to turn to head to the left.

"A vampire?" she teased, eyes meeting his once again. He couldn't be serious.. He just could not. His next words made Haylee tense, eyes returning to a glare. "I might have been drunk, but I would never drink blood. That's..- No." she protested quickly, then took a tiny step towards him, as if she was trying to challenge the man. "And I am no one's 'pet.'" she hissed, letting her arms relax at her sides. Really, who did this guy think he was?? She listened as he went on, none the less, and rolled her eyes. He was delusional, she had come to that conclusion.

"Girl, I've got more than enough money and if I want sex," Haylee watched her, arching an eyebrow as if she was amused. "I'll get it." This caused her to laugh once more, blue eyes rolling upwards towards the ceiling. So he was delusional and cocky? Oh joy.
"I have a name," she mused, as if it was some surprise. "It's Haylee, not 'girl.'"
With that being said she simply listened as Mr.cocky went on, gazing around the room as he motioned.

He room? Her jaw clenched, "You don't expect me to stay here with you, do you? I have school, family.. sort of,-" she grumbled "And a life. I cannot stay here.. I don't even know you." Her stubborn side was truly starting to show. Slowly, she edged around the room a little more, spying the door behind her "kidnapper" known as Eldric. Maybe if she got around him she could make a run for it..Maybe. However, she highly doubted it. The guy looked to be in tip-top shape. Sadly.

She paused, replaying what the guy had said to her, the last part. "Welcome to the coven." ?? There were more crazy people? Haylee swallowed hard, eying Eldric once more. If I give him want he wants.. If I pretend to agree and stay here.. Maybe he won't try killing me. she thought, but didn't see anything working in her favor.

Adriana Marie Lennox - Adriana's Apartment

" Do you at least know why I'm here and what's this place?" Her lips turned up into a soft smile at the sound of his voice as she gazed down at the male, her eyes cautious even as he shifted on the bed and sat up. He was leaning toward her, his eyes expectant as he waited for her response.

" I'm Adriana," the gorgeous blonde offered as she gestured to him, " What's your name?" Adriana wanted to start off small before she would tell him straight out why he was here. What had happened. What he now was and what he would always be. She'd have to explain the rules too, of course, but those could wait for a short time. At least, she thought they could but his behaviour would most likely determine this as well as her own rules. House and otherwise.

" I can feel that you're angry," she added, her voice quiet. " As well as a bit sad as you long for something.. Someone.." She said nothing more as she turned on the light, stepping further into the room. Adriana waited a few long, agonising minutes before she finally spoke again.

" You're now a member of the Coven I belong to," her aqua eyes were wide as she stared at Calder from the end of the bed, making no move to be closer to him than this. Though, if he made a move to the door she'd be able to get there in time to stop him from leaving the room. " I'm a vampire and you are now what is known as my 'Blood Bond'. No longer human but not a vampire either.." She sighed slightly, shrugging her shoulders. Adriana hated how solemn the situation forced her to be, she just wanted to go to the club and dance and, of course, help Tyler out with serving and such.

" Look," she ran a pale hand through her long blonde curls as her eyes became softer than butter, clearly displeased with the situation while also being a bit pitying for the man sitting on the bed in front of her. " None of us have choices in the matter. You are my Blood Bond and I will crave your blood more than an average human's.. Just like you will done mine, or so I've been told. You'll live forever at this age," she gestured toward him, " So long as I'm alive, you will be too. But should I die you will certainly follow not long after.

" I'm told most Blood Bonds and their Creators, that is you and I, respectively, grow an actual relationship or 'Bond'. Whether it's one of lovers, siblings or parent and child.. One will grow and it's impossible to prevent.." She didn't add that she hoped their own bond would be more platonic than romantic as she didn't really like humans, especially for sexual pleasure. To fragile and their blood became too impossible to resist as their heartbeat would pick up and, well, she'd nearly killed a few many, many years ago due to this.

" Anyway, there are rules for the vampires, one of which being don't kill another of our kind. Well, our Coven leader did this and this," Adriana motioned between them," is all of our punishment's for his crime." She paused before adding, " And, since you're in my apartment you must follow my own rules but.. I have things I need to do so they cant wait for now."

She turned, her slender body making her way back to the door way before looking back at him with cool blue eyes. " By the way, our Coven owns and manages a club called Eden and we're cutting into my working time by sitting here chatting.. Since I am responsible for you, I'd really like if you would come with me." Her eyes became hopeful as she gazed at him, blue staring into grey-blue. " There are others like you.." Adriana added softly, " But not all of our lives can stop."

She didn't bother to add that she may allow him to see his family again, there was no need for falsities. After all, the vampire prided herself on her honesty and, well, that wouldn't be too honest now would it?

" Now, if you don't mind..?"

Her tone had become a bit more sharp as she gestured past herself and walked out of the room completely, deciding to wait in the dark hall.

James | Kasey's apartment

"Oh, a Twilight Series reference - how original."

"Hey, if you're a vampire, you got to be used to those books and movies ruining your good name," James told her with a smirk, pleased that he got the woman laughing. That was good. It meant that vampires had a sense of humor. Since remembering the whole blood drinking ritual, he was a little afraid that his life would be nothing more than serious monologues about blood this, blood that, and sexual debauchery. Well, he wasn't afraid of the last part, actually...

"Read those books? Seriously? You insult me as a writer, madame," James told her in mock-horror, "I simply had to deal with pre-teen girls everywhere I went obsessing over Edward Cullen, not to mention the movie trailers. I have no idea how people got it into their heads that vampires were brooding pretty-boys waiting for an average-looking teenage girl to swipe off her feet."

"So... Mr. James Stephens, anything interesting I should know about you before I find out by surprise?"

James grinned at that, "Let me see.... My dad is a typical close-minded conservative City Councilman that honestly has no idea what he's doing and my mom is an avid volunteer of a far-right Protestant church so true to literary convention, I rejected pretty much all my dad's political stances, became a starving writer rather than go into a stuffy college they approved of, and became Catholic to spite my mother, partly because atheism was overdone and partly because I didn't want to put in the effort to become Muslim. Oh, and I have acharming personality, as you might have seen."

After he was finished, he decided to ask a question that was really bothering him.

"Alright, I'll ask. What is a a Blood Bond? A slave? Do I have to drink blood?"

Eldric Caine Devine ** His Apartment

An eyebrow twitched as Haylee started laughing after repeating the word vampire. Withint due time, she would learn though. Eldric rolled his eyes.

"Yes, vampire. Would you like it to be proven to you?" Eldric narrowed his eyes and glanced around the room to see if there was anything he could actually use to prove his point. Er... Nothing. Unless he were to smack a hole in the wall....

"And I am no one's 'pet.'" That statement made him chuckle quietly. Ahhh the naivety of humans and their useless sense of pride... It was kind of bothersome that she didn't really believe what he was telling her. It was past the time of Eden's opening. There would surely be a long line at the club. As owner, he would.. have to get the crowd to settle down and all that troublesome stuff.

She laughed when he said that he could get sex if he wanted it to. Eldric smirked. She obviously didn't know how to read people very well. Did he look like some cocky fool? Maybe he was a bit arrogant but it wasn't as if he tried to be. Sometimes, the truth just sounded a bit overwhelming to those that weren't used to that kind of stuff.

"I have a name," She snapped at him. "It's Haylee, not 'girl'"

Well she had a bit of spunk in her, didn't she.

"Hello Haylee," Eldric shrugged. Names didn't matter to him. Not human names anyway. It was a useless task that was unnecessary unless it provided him with some advantage.

"You don't expect me to stay here with you, do you? I have school, family.. sort of,-" she grumbled "And a life. I cannot stay here.. I don't even know you."

"Think I'm lying about everything, do you?Sorry to say it, but this is where you live now. Accept it and it'll be that much easier. " Eldric walked over to her, a smirk on his handsome face, with one calloused hand touched her smooth, soft face. For him, the effect was immediate and he almost bit her right then and there. His eyes turning with a swirl of silver. However, he held back. It wasn't as if he needed any blood. He had just drunk his fill last night. And it would cause more problems if he lost control of himself. With that thought, Eldric stepped back from his bond and glanced back out the window.

"You won't be able to escape you know." The Coven Leader said, dead serious. "It would be so easy to let you just go. I would if I could. Sadly, that isn't possible. We're stuck with each other for as long as we both live. "

Dalton had better be getting ready. And the others should be about done with their bonds.. Eden's guests were so crazy. Eldric loved it.

"Now I've got a club to run. You can come with me..." He raised an eyebrow at her as he stood in front of the door. "Or I can tie you up here." or... he could just knock her out. That would be his first choice but.... he oculd accidentally kill her and that would suck.

Kasey | Kasey's apartment

"Read those books? Seriously? You insult me as a writer, madame."

"A writer," she laughed under her breath, looking at the face he made. Well, he certainly was.. enthusiastic? Enthusiastic felt like a good enough word to describe the guy. She tuned out the rest of what he said as she looked for that drink she wanted. Kasey was actually kind of curious about what he wrote about. There were so many topics, and Kasey did enjoy a good story, seeing as she had to kill time somehow. Living forever kind of sucked sometimes. If he was a journalist that would be interesting. That would mean he actually had a career with his writing rather than being a lonely guy trying to crank out a novel.

Kasey stood up with a bottle of wine then went through her cabinet's for a glass as she listened to his life story. "Well aren't you a little rebel," she smirked. Kasey pulled down a glass and turned towards him. It did sound like his childhood sucked with parents like those, but Kasey wasn't one to hand out sympathy easily. Though she was sure he didn't need it. Hate to say it, but he did have an interesting personality, from what she gathered. Chill, kind of sarcastic. It looked like the living arrangement might work out after all, but why put so much faith in it right now? More than likely she would find a reason to see him as a threat. "I see you didn't inherit that charming personality from your parent's, hm?" Kasey poured herself a drink.

"Alright, I'll ask. What is a a Blood Bond? A slave? Do I have to drink blood?"

Merp. Thought too soon. Really, Kasey thought she was getting off scott-free as far as questions went, but maybe not. "I wouldn't use the word slave since you're free to do whatever you want within the confines of my authority," she nodded, plainly. "A blood bond is basically a human that a vampire was forced to change into a halfling - a half vampire, half human. Since I changed you, you already know I'm responsible for you." Kasey took a sip of her drink and chuckled a little at the last part of his question. "Mhmm. You get to drink my blood."

Kasey figured he wouldn't expect that sudden plot twist. It was a little weird, having to drink the blood of your creator. "And I'm aware you need my blood to survive, but you're gonna have to put in some work before you get to that point, girly," she teased, gesturing to her glass. "Need a drink yet?"

Eldric's Apartment: Haylee

Both of Haylee's brows shot upward when Eldric asked if she would like him to prove he was a "vampire." A devious smirk danced across her lips and she simply nodded, placing both hands casually on her slim hips.
"Prove it," she mused, crystal blue eyes dancing with amusement. She would like to see this guy try and prove something that was clearly a sick lie. What was that he said earlier? Something about her being a "blood bond." Whatever that was. A half vampire. Haylee almost laughed aloud at the thought of it. Clearly, this guy either read way too much, or watched a lot of t.v.

She looked a bit taken back when he laughed as she mentioned she was no one's pet. It was true. She was a person, no one's property. Scowling at him, she took a step back. "Think I'm lying about everything, do you? Sorry to say it, but this is where you live now. Accept it and it'll be that much easier. "
Accept it? Haylee's brows furrowed once more as she reached up, brushing a wavy strand of midnight hair from her face. That was easy enough for him to say. She thought back to what all she would be leaving behind; if what he was telling her was to be true. Her father who was getting there in age, and three brothers. A father, who did not exactly care, and three brothers.. Who were there and could take care of him. Work. Tedious college work that took up hours and hours of her time. And everything else that seemed terribly unimportant at the time. She would miss it..Maybe.

Lost in thought, Haylee didn't notice that Mr. Vampire-Kidnapper had walked over. However, when he was close enough she was dragged from her thoughts, taking another step back quickly. It was a little too late though, he was already there. Craning her head back just a bit, she then noticed how tall this guy was. Standing in front of him.. It was a bit unbelievable. Haylee herself was 5'8" in height.
When he reached forward with his large hand she took a deep breath, and held it, grimacing when his skin touched her's. However, she exhaled slowly, relaxing, gaze flickering upward to meet his. Her eyes narrowed involuntarily, yet widened at what she saw.

His eyes, a blue in color, began to slowly turn, swirling into a liquid silver. Haylee would have never believed it if she hadn't have seen it with her own eyes. "Wha-" she began, only to snap her mouth shut when he stepped back.

"You won't be able to escape you know." His words almost made her shudder, yet she refrained the action, swallowing hard. "It would be so easy to let you just go. I would if I could. Sadly, that isn't possible. We're stuck with each other for as long as we both live. " Her blue gaze hardened, though just as quickly softened. She watched him a second, brows furrowed before her expression was wiped clean of any emotion. He did not want her here himself. She could tell that much. It's not like he was trying to hold her against her will..

He had to.

To Haylee it seemed like some god awful marriage. Like two people getting drunk, eloping, but never able to divorce because it was somehow against government law. As he spoke again Haylee sighed, yet replaying the words over in her head she perked up a bit.

"A club?" she questioned, glancing down at her attire. She had on what she wore to the party the night before. An off the shoulder, dark blue shirt that somehow managed to get blood on it, and a pair of black skinny jeans. Her shoes were missing. Haylee huffed, moving to cross her arms. She still had many questions, but had the feeling it was not the time to really ask. "What do you suppose I should wear?" she asked, hoping he would take that as her answer of 'I'l go.'
"I could always walk into your club barefoot with a bloodied shirt. I'm sure people will adore the look." Her voice held heavy sarcasm. Honestly, she just wanted to go so she could get drunk off her ass, and forget everything for awhile. This was a bunch of crap. Haylee gave the room a once over, shaking her head. So this was her room? Definitely going to need to redecorate.. she thought, biting her lower lip gently; she did that a lot when she thought.

Her eyes traveled back to Eldric. His whole blood bond story was a bit sketchy. She didn't really know if she could trust him. After all, the guy said he was a vampire. Of course, that could explain the silver eyes...
