Mai Ly is very withdrawn and a little depressing. She does not talk and needs a lot of tending to. She is very special needs and in many ways needs her brother to function, but she will smile when she has taken a liking to someone.

Chien has a lot of honor in what he does selling his goods for a fair price. He dress nice to attract buyers to his cart. Chien is very protective of his younger sister. He only smiles for her otherwise he is a little harsh and stone like.

Bio:

Chien was first born and a hard worker at a young age he enjoyed working and took pride in what he did, his family was proud of him. He brought in good money when he sold his goods. Chien put money aside at a young age to him it was good it manage money and know how to make it work for him. His parents where fine with him doing this and encouraged this.

When Chien was ten he found out his mother was going to have another child a girl. He was happy that he was going to have a younger sibling. When she was born she was named Mai Ly. Things where perfect at first but as Mai Ly grew older she really did not talk. She would say something once in a blue but more times than not would point at what she wanted. Latter on they would find out that she was mentally disabled. This worried their parents they talked about selling Mai Ly.

This angered Chien to no end and he would not have he would not lose his sister. He became very protective of her and worked twice as hard just so they could take care of it. Now running his own small business and taking care of Mai Ly is all he has time for. There are times he thought about buying someone to help him take care of Mai Ly and pay them for it but he can never bring himself to it.

Phuong Siblings

Chien was out selling his goods from his cart. He was dress nice as was normal for him. Chien sold glass wear, and small animals long with small items.. Chien was always kind to everyone making sure the left with what they wanted. He was a bit of a flirt when things came down to it. He took care in how he sat things up the birds that where worth more where kept in the cart where it was cooler and safe. Chien and gained a name for him self for finding rare hard to find birds for buyers with money.

In side the cart Mai Ly just sat there in her own little world watching the sparrow her brother gave. He let her have her pick of any bird she wanted and she picked a very simple sparrow. She was so strange with how silent she was. In so many ways she was helpless and would always be this way. None the less she was a good kind person. When back home she would just sit there and watch the children play there games never really understanding what was going.
