Zeus's Story

Death. That is all he would ever know. Never to fully be among the living. Deke sat up in bed, Arcadia snuggled onto his hip. Her face was pure joy. The joy Deke longed to have. That was one of the many things he loved about his sweet Arcadia. She gave him something he thought he could never possess.

He loved her oh Gods did he love her. He would do anything and everything in his power to save her too keep by his side. If only the rest of the Lord would understand that Arcadia makes Death stronger. Not once has he ever been defeated because of her. Maybe it was because the Lords blamed him for what has befallen them. Hell, he blamed himself. Never will they be able to separate from their demons. Gods, he was a fool.

Just because Zeus didn't make him guard of the box that kept the Demons in slumber. Pandora was the one who was assigned the task. And for that reason she was slain. Pandora's box opened awaking the demons who possessed his friends. In three thousand years Death has tried to live with his being and what he has done. Building wealth, building a home for all Lords to live in. Yet many don't.

Death felt responsible for the worriers. Trying to keep tabs of them, trying to befriend them. Because of him they will be tormented for the rest of eternity. But he has been very selfless towards them, he has changed his ways to prove to the Lords how sorry he was. When he found his precious Arcadia none would accept her. Maybe if they have felt what he has they would understand.

The day Death found out Arcadia was going to die was the day Death was torn in two. An illness has befallen his women and he had to find someway to save her. He planned to ask the Greek God Zeus to spare his beloved. When he told the other Lords of his plan, half of them refused to help him with whatever task the Greek God asked of him. Death stopped putting others before him and decided to save the life of his lovers and his very own soul. Because without her his demon would rampage causing thousands of deaths.

Kissing the head of his sleeping beauty, Death got up and walked to the bathroom that was attached to their bedroom. Death knelt down on his knees dagger in hand. "Greek God, Zeus. I summon thee." He shouted. Plunging the dagger deep in his chest, gliding it down his chest. "I offer myself to you." His voice husky with pain. he has had much worse than this. Even without his friends he was going to save what was his.

Deke waited on his knees with the blood dripping down his chest. He heard Arcadia cough and it made him cringe. Then he heard her dainty feet patter past the bathroom and down the hall. Hopefully the God king will be giving and help his women. As he knelt there he felt the God's presence. He kept his gaze down. Before he gave the King the chance to speak he started pleading. "Please forgive me for calling upon you so early in the day. But I must ask you for a favor." "You have summoned Zeus, Death now rise" Deke heard a female voice and stood up to look at the female God. "You.. you are not Zeus.." He said confused. "I thought i called Greek God Zeus." He said puzzled. He grabbed a towel and held it against his chest. "You are a women. The Zeus I served for for century's was a man. And you are not a man." He knew he shouldn't be talking to the god this way but he couldn't get over the fact the this female called herself the male Greek God.

"Forgive me for my blunt response. But who are you?" He asked cocking an eyebrow at "Zeus".

Levi growled at Death's disrespect, her hand twitched as her infamous temper started to boil and her eye's blazed a deadly red.
"Do not question me! i am Zeus!" she snarled and outside thunder cracked loudly, echoing in the room.
"You have known a lie! i show myself as male to keep up with that damn stereotype but why can't the King of the Gods be a woman!" her voice boomed and more thunder cracked as dark storm clouds gathered in the sky, blistering winds and heavy rain started up, making the house creak.
"If you don't believe me then see for yourself" Levi growled before shifting into a small version of her male form then back to her normal body.
"Now do you see Deke? I am the King of Gods AND a woman and if you want something from me don't argue" Zeus hissed, as she tried to lock the lid on her over boiling anger.

Deke bowed his head. "I ment no disrespect, my Lord. I was your personal guard for many millennia. I am just shocked." Deke loomed at the ground. "I am sorry." He said.

Deke took a deep breath. "I ask for your help. My beloved has grown I'll and death wants to claim her soul. I know not other than ask for your help in saving her. He knew asking Zeus was a long shot. He would have to follow the plan he and strider came up with. "I would not be asking if she were not of importance."

Zeus temper instantly cooled as she heard Death speak. This young woman meant so much to him......but why?
"I wish to see for myself the love you and this woman share, i am to stay here for 3 days and witness the actions of this woman to see if she is worthy of immortality......i mean no offense by that i just wish to see with my own eyes" Levi's expression shifted too that of kindness towards the lord for she knew how he felt, she felt the same way about her husband.
"Bring me to her, your Arcadia"

"Thank you." Deke muttered and left the restroom. He hurriedly walked down the steps. He knew where Arcadia was. Somehow he always knew. He knew everything about that women. His Arcadia. He never could understand how she could love someone such as Deke, Keeper of Death. Someone so pure could love such darkness.

He wishes he could take back all the evil things he has done, what he has to do. All he has ever known was darkness and destruction from the moment he opened the damned box. Why Zeus would ever do him a favor after what he has done was beyond him. But if there were a chance to keep his Arcadia he would. After all, she is the first thing he has ever done that was pure, a light he thought he could never reach.

Ever since Arcadia came into his life he has never lost control of himself. He never lost himself do death. She was his everything. All of the other lords have never seen or felt something so pure. Maybe if they have witnessed and caused such things as Death does they would change their ways. He has been to hell and he has been to heaven. The golden streets that he so longs to walk on again, being so close to it yet banned to ever step foot on as long as he shall live.

The other lords do not understand the torment death goes through, fighting with death to leave an innocent child alone. Or some good hearted being to live a full life. When he takes their soul he sees everything they have seen, or heard what they have ever heard or thought of. All those memories he can never erase. He was damned with the worst being for the reason thathe was responsable for his actions and went against Zeus' wishes. Disobeying him. So he damned him and every one of his friends. Now all they want is to give into their demon. Wrath was one of the closest to Death along with Strider. Now what he has to see his friends do and go through are horrible. He cares for all of his worriers. Every single one of them causes Deke terrible pain. Thats how it should be.

Deke found his beloved Arcadia by the roses. He kissed the top of her head and put his arm around her tightly breathing in her scent. To her he probably smelled of flowers and death. But she smelled of Roses and life. "Good morning, beautiful." He whispered into her ear. "I would like for you to meet someone."

Zeus watched the two for a moment and her heart ached to join her darling husband, to have his strong arms wrapped around her not a care in the world. Shaking her head slightly Levi focused in on the couple in need. Putting on a smile Levi strolled towards them.
"Hello my dear i'm Levain or Levi for short but you may know me as Zeus"

While the really Zeus looked after Deke, she sends out a clone of herself in her red haired form wanting to check in on her other Lords. With a snap of her fingers she was within the ware house, voices called her attention. The Lords would think of her as only human from they don't know of her forms, nor that she is truly female. Levi watches the gathering of the Lords from a dark corner.

Kara wondered where everyone was as she walked around the mansion, she decided that she would explore. Her room was only a short distance from the gardens, but a storm seemed to be subsiding so she didn't go. She looked for Arcadia now that she was more rested, she went to a room with a tv and watched the news, though she wasn't able to learn what had happened in human culture in the last 50 years. She asked a worker if he had seen Arcadia lately, he said that she had went back to her room with Deke. Kara decided to check in on her later, she went by their room and heard a woman talking though it was define toy not Arcadia it made her very curious and she decided to knock on the door curiosity overwhelming her. The voices became silent once she knocked on the door.


He started to feel better as defeat took control of his body, "Well this place is getting over crowded, oh and we were going to knock on the door but your door was surrounded by hundreds of traps! Anyway you fuckers can do what you want, that includes you Keiner, I'm out of here." He smelt a knew person a female, human, but it was strange how could a human get where two keepers struggled to get? "By the way Keiner we where never friends, doubt was right," he wickedly smiled. Defeat was making him this way but it was still true. He started walking away, "I wouldn't try to stop me either." As he walked he drew his sword just in case anyone got any ideas.

Zeus was slightly fascinated by the hell fire but she didnt enjoy Wrath's cocky ego. Her Lords had the right to leave as they please, he didnt control them, she did. Sighing the red headed clone decided to make an entrance. Casual striding forward Levi came along side the 'throne'. Her hand caressed the flames, the fire tickling her skin yet causing no pain. Nothing really caused Zeus pain.

"Tar, gasoline and burnt tree sap? thats a funny combination" Levi giggled as she walked around then spun around to face Wrath, whom looked all high and mighty. Ha.

"So what do we have going on here?" Levi asked calmly, flicking her long red hair out of her face. The clone narrowed her baby blue eyes at the lot of them, she hadnt heard what all this was about but she needed it to stop before things got out of hand.

"Like I said I should be going, I may be a fool but I wouldn't come here without a backup plan. I thought this might come in handy." He held up the handheld portal that would take him to Olympus. "I don't know who this red head is but I didn't think us dropping would turn in to a party like this. Honestly he was afraid he knew if he stayed he would die and surrender would be worse than death, the pain would make him weak lethargic, rehab woul take months and that was time he didn't have to waste.

"I guess I won't come back, but I won't surrender to the likes of you." A fight in the cage like this would be lethal, and the illness that was taking over weakened him greatly. He actually regretted giving Keiner the blade, having it right now or offering it to Wraethmar right now would be good. "All I have to say is, well that escalated quickly!" He tried to keep his composure as he moved the broze pieces frantically, and trying to make his mistake. Honestly he hadn't used it and even if it worked he would be stuck in Olympus, without anyone alone. It sounded better than what was happening now.

Wraethmar

Wrath stabbed one of his blades into the ground and leant forward in his throne,beneath his helm he would be grinning maniacally,like the Cheshire Cat. The keeper rested his elbow's on his legs and spread his wings further,the blood from his blades slowly flooding the place until they reached ankle height. "Now now,You don't get to decide whether or not you surrender...Defeat....if you're trying to avoid becoming weakened all you have to remember is. That you intended to come here to recruit one of us,and now you are fleeing...weakened,ill and unable to fight back. Even if you don't surrender." He said,reaching one of his arms forward for a moment "you,LOST!" He roared,tightening his hand into a fist,creating a shell of lightning around the other keeper as he seemed to frantically attempt to flee,his laugh echoed from beneath his helm once more as he relaxed again.

"Enjoy your suffering Strider....I know I will,Defeat doesn't let you off easy when you lose,does he?" He teased,before finally noticing the Red-Head Hume who stood before him,he didn't address her yet,instead turning to Aegrotia,his throne forming around him constantly as he did so "I apologize about the nasty blood,Wrath's in a bit of a bad mood right now so he's not letting out any of the good stuff until he get's a little blood of his own to sample. Although I'm kind of surprised he went for the tar and gasoline combo...Usually he goes for the rotting carcass and sewage flavor. You must tell me the story of how you know the previous,maybe after this hm?,when we have a little discussion about what we're gunna do in this alliance thing we have going now....speaking of,Sivv,you've said nothing as of yet,Why don't both of you take a seat hm?,I mean even if he get's whatever he's doing working,only one of them is escaping." He said non-chalantly,his voice only getting more guttural and cruel as time wore on,two smaller thrones of magma appearing next to him,thrones that were instantly cooled down to obsidian,after-all they couldn't well sit on flowing magma.

Finally the Pitch-black Angel turned to the Red-Head Hume who somehow got into his warehouse. Leaning his elbow on his knee,and his helm in the accompanying hand. "Now then...To answer your question. These two keepers of Daemon's,the big nasty things you read about in books. Decided it'd be fun to break into my private warehouse,through all of my trap's and defenses despite the big no keepers allowed sign that accompanied it. To quite simply,bluff,act dramatic,and waste our time in asking for our help in their own ridiculous affairs,pleading the whole 'family' thing,yada yada yada. Just as we'd finished setting everything up to quite simply,go about our daily lives in peace and relaxation away from their lot...I mean I'd only just gotten my Pepsi out of the fridge Zeus damn it!" He growled grumpily in explanation,he decided he wouldn't burn,maim or horribly torture This Girl...after-all she'd gotten into his warehouse and didn't run screaming to the police when she saw a giant demon and a hellfire arena. She might be fun to have around.

"Is this is how it's going to be then huh? How about if I give you an offer hmm? Take me do what you like with me, and you can let doubt if you want, honestly I was a fool to come here. Thinking you would feel any compassion, I thought Kara was pretty bad but maybe I would have had better luck with her." He knew that if he was to leave defeat would kill him and find another host... And if he taunted him till the end he wouldn't lose. Torture was what he was prepared for but who knew maybe he would make it a blood party and toss Keiner in the mix. "I'll stay here or go or do whatever you want, I am a little low on cash for now but I still have a few pounds of gold that will pay for the traps and then some, but that isn't what you want is it?" He walked towards the charred angel and his fiery throne. He sighed heavily,"well I guess I'm yours, and you don't actually have to let this guy go but I would, but then again I'm a little soft compared to you." It was a desperate gamble and he was completely bluffing exempt about him being soft.

Levi sighed happy to know her little treasure's weren't wanting to cause trouble, well not all of them.
"The names Levi" she said to no one in general and glanced around the room. What peeked her interest was the item in Strider's hand. She knew that item. Was he planning on stealing something from her?? the nerve!
The item was one of her old play things she would gave to human's she wanted to have a little fun with, all before she met Aaron. The item only worked because it had a small amount of her magic but with a slight nod of her head the magic disappeared back to the really Zeus and the item was now useless. If his plans were to help Deke he had no need for it because even though she would make it difficult she would grant the young woman eternal life. Levi would even bring the young Arcadia to her garden up on Olympus, Levi smiled knowing the woman would love it as much as Levi did.

"Pepsi you say? Want me to go getcha some?" Levi asked Wraeth pointing her thumb towards the kitchen then she placed her hands on her hips waiting for an answer. It surprised Levi how cool everyone was for having a human around.

"Hello my dear i'm Levain or Levi for short but you may know me as Zeus" rang out, the tone holding practically a smile to it. In surprise at the female voice, Arcadia’s pools of blue widened and, almost hastily, turned away from Deke’s contact. Giving a small cough of embarrassment into a neatly made fist, the Nymph gracefully stood up, each of her movements inhumanely fluid and graceful. Fighting off the rosy tinge coloring her cheeks, Arcadia immediately went into a respectful curtsy before dipping her head in a swan-like finesse. After a few moments of pause, the Deity returned to the usual upright stance before speaking. ”It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.. I am Arcadia, Deity of Song. My... to be graced with Zeus's presence..! But, if you do not mind my asking.. why are you well...?” came the melodic voice, confusion framing each syllable. Quickly sending a bewildered glance over the Keeper of Death, a slight frown pricking at the edges of those gardenia-hued lips, Arcadia swiftly retrained her gaze back to the God among Gods.

Deke smiled at Arcadia. The bewildered expression on her face was pure and beautiful. "I'm as shocked as you are, my dear. But anything could happen. And it has." Just as he finished his sentence he heard a slight knock at the door. Leaving Arcadia and Levi to answer it.

"Yes?" He asked as he opened the door. "Kara?" He asked as he saw the lord standing at his bedroom door. "When did you get here?" He asked bewildered. He looked at his Arcadia and raised an eyebrow. "Did you know she was here?" He asked. Usually he would have sensed a new lords presence in his house but with everything that has gone on this morning he sees why he pushed the sense away.

All of a sudden Deke felt an overwhelming need to escort a soul to hell. The feeling he always got was a sense of coldness in the pit of his stomach with Death solemnly speaking to deke. Death voice was low and dangerous. So much power and calmness would creep upon him. Never a good feeling. When he got to the soul he knew everything about them instantly. He knew the young girls name already though.

"Please forgive me goddess, Kara, and my Arcadia, but a soul must be escorted." He bowed to the Greek goddess and flashed to the place where the soul lays. The young girl was scared staying above what was once her body. Know it looked like loose meat. The things Death saw were horrifying but this was nothing new.

Deke took a minute to take the surroundings in. It was a warehouse. There standing around each other were the other lords. Deke rolled his eyes and took the prostitute and murderer of her 2 month old to hell. "My dear, you have had an unfortunate life. But you made your choice to do the devils work and now you shall be punished. Sarah, you will wish you never meet your husband and started doing drugs. You will be in pain for eternity."

With that he took her to the gates of hell. Fire licking his face and demons and lost souls scratching and biting his ankles. In that moment he was face to face with Lucifer. Be bowed to the underworld king and flashed back to the warehouse. "How unfortunate i was not invited to your party." He said and glared at the other lords. He then saw the Greek goddess."Levi, I thought you were at the manner?" He said cocking his eyebrows at her.

"Long time no see Zeus, I was wondering when you were going to give a shit about us." She gave a smile, "I see you have finally come out of the closet so the speak, I figured it out a while ago. Because when you kill for them you get to know them, their enemies, their friends, their hates, and their passions." Before the box was opened Zeus was her friend, master and almost like a mother. But those days were over and Kara was pissed that she was just starting to care about her. "You know I've been alright, until a day ago I was sleeping in the sewers, I was close to being completely controlled by violence, and its all because of you and Deke." Her emotions were coming out ones that had been bottled up for thousands of years. She also was sad because she was talking to someone who was like her mother, in front of the love of her life. "I'm sorry Zeus, I have missed you." She looked down at the ground, tears were starting to well up in her eyes. Not tears of sadness or joy, they were tears of hurt, anger, confusion, and love. She felt good but bad at the same time, she felt like she needed a hug. Violence started to whisper in her ear, in its raspy gender less voice, "you don't need her, she left you to kill or be killed. And this girl is why your here, you will kill her and enjoy it and after that you will return to your home and continue to kill."
"No no no no! Get out of my fucking head!" She shrieked pounding on her head repeatedly and struggling to hang on to the fragments of her sanity.
