The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 6 authors
7:30
30*C
Victoria yawned and absently scribbled triangles over a large 128 paged notebook. Sunlight was trying to break through her thick, cream curtains that fluttered in the soft breeze. She lay in foetus pose on her modern bed, her natural golden curls cascading on the crisp, white pillow. Victoria is gorgeous, and she knows it. She planted her feet firmly on the smooth, planks of the massive dorm room, and stood up. She stepped lightly over to the massive chunky wardrobe and grabbed her uniform, and slipped into it, admiring the way it hugged her athletic shape in the sleek mirror. She put on her strapless mary janes and sat back down on the crumpled bed.
Victoria reached for her phone to call her father, but then remembered about the stupid phone rule.
"Urghhh..." she slowly, inwardly groaned to herself and rubbed her head, "This place is-" She screeched and clasped her hands to her ears. A massive ringing noise rang through what seemed like the whole of the dorm bulding. She flung open her bedroom door only to find a large, broken speaker system booming out Principal Delaneys voice in the hallway. "You are all to come downstairs. IMMEDIETLY for bruncheon in the main qaudrangle. Now a message from our lovely school cook:" The clear voice of Principal Delaney stopped and was replaced by another. "Low fat yogurt and rice milk with hand picked Boysen-berries is for bruncheon. Mrs Boston out!"
What the actual pantyhose just happened?! "Bruncheon?" What the heck is "Bruncheon" ? A million fast paced questions ran through Victorias mind. Even though she wanted to ask the shy girl who was sleeping next door, she remained composed and stepped out of her doorway. Her first day at Bridgent...
Maddie woke up to the sound of yelling. "SHUT THE HELL UP!" She growled at whatever it was that was making that noise. She rolled over and put a pillow over her ears. 'Don't worry, Maddie! You'll have fun at this new school!' Her parents assured her before she went on the plane. Boy, were they wrong. She didn't appreciate waking up at 7:30, but she knew that she had to. That didn't matter to Maddie, and she went back to sleep. "Damn school, interrupting my sleep!" She said just before she went back to her dreaming.
The uniform was one of the few things about private school that reminded Irene of home. She'd gone to a relatively private school before Bridgent, a school welcome to the public so long as each child was a model citizen and a long list of many other rules that only partially applied to Irene. She flopped down onto the bed as she pulled her socks up past her knees and once again considered burrowing in the thick comforter, once again deciding not to and slipping her feet into the shiny black flats her mother bought her just before her departure from home. The thought of being so far from her family made her heart hurt.
When her hair was tied neatly in a bun, her camera was tucked into her purse, and she had the tiniest amount of makeup on, she opened the door and stepped into the hallway. There was a blond girl just ahead of her; Irene assumed it was her dormmate, but didn't bother catching up with her. She just smiled and looked down, praying her life at Bridgent would be a pleasant one.
Even though the Russian was used to waking up early for training, this was ridiculous. She had gotten only about three solid hours of sleep, and the rest of the time was spent with her frantically trying to find ways to tire herself out. She did push ups, sit ups, even pull ups on one of her door frames, which almost resulted in her breaking it. That would have been an interesting thing to explain to the principle. She even went outside in sweatpants and a tank top and did a lap around the entire school premises, but that only resulted in her legs getting tired. Despite the fact that her physical being was exhausted, her mental being was not.
So she paced and paced in her room, and now it was 7:15 A.M. Her hands balled into tight fists and her jaw clenched. She growled softly under her breath; much like that of an agitated tiger. How dare he? How dare he? How dare he send her to a place like this, without even discussing it with her? Diana had been sent to this place almost completely blind to the rules and regulations. With an angry scowl, she lied back onto her bed, closing her eyes for a moment, trying to think things over. She had to wear this hideous uniform, which, mind you, was still a size too small for her. She had spoken to someone about it, and, just her luck, they didn’t have any spares in her size, so they had to re-order one. It wouldn’t arrive for another few weeks. The lady she had spoken to said she could borrow a spare from someone who was her size, but that also created another issue. That would require her to have friends, and that means she would have to talk to people. Diana had grown up with no friends except for her father and her tutors, and they weren’t with her now. She had been thrown into this foreign school with no idea how to socialize. Plus, this was an all girls’ school. Could the man had picked an even worse place to send Diana? In all honesty, prison would have been a better choice. They were also forcing her to put her hair up. Seriously? Isn’t that some sort of violation of their rights?
“Whatever…” Diana sighed, turning in her bed so she was on her side. Right when she thought she would drift off to sleep, a loud sound tore her from her short-lived peace. The booming sound of the obnoxious principle's voice blared over the loudspeaker, making Diana sit up straight and slap her hands over her ears. Aaannnd now she had a headache.
“Eto razdrazhayet malen'kiy ublyudok …” She muttered, huffing a bit at the end.
She listened, grudgingly, about the breakfast and then stumbled towards a mirror, staring at her mangled hair and hollow eyes. She sighed, knowing she had some work to do. She freshened up a bit and slipped into her uniform. The fabric hugged her body tightly, highlighting every curve and movement she might make. The shirt was unbuttoned and showed a little of her cleavage, little enough so it was allowed, and just enough that would probably attract annoyed glares and glances. Her skirt was two inches too short, and Diana discovered she would have the pleasure of having to hold it down every time she tried to navigate up or down any type of stairway. She tied her hair up in a tight, uncomfortable bun and sighed loudly. Once again stumbling towards the mirror, she put on a bit of makeup.
Diana had never been a huge fan of makeup, but she knew this would be one of those days where a little would go a long way. She applied just a bit so that it didn’t look like there were bags under her eyes. For a moment, she stopped and simply stared at the small scar across the corner of her lip and remembered the day she got it. Sighing once more, she quickly gathered her school things, slid into her shoes and walked through the door, locking it behind her.
As Diana walked in the increasingly crowding halls, she never once took her gaze off of the ground below her. The moment she stepped into the lunch room, she had to double take for a few seconds. It wasn’t until someone pushed her slightly from behind did she realize it probably wouldn’t be smart for her to stand in the entrance to the cafeteria. Silently, she made it to an empty table in the back corner of the room and sat, dropping her bag on the floor.
It only took her two minutes to grab her food and come back to her lonely, empty table. She simply mixed the food around on her plate, sighing from time to time. She never enjoyed eating organic things like this and wished she could eat some homemade waffles with bacon and chocolate milk instead.
The music had all turned into white noise for the girl, constantly changing on shuffle as it played through her 532 songs of which she knew all the lyrics off by heart.
It was nice weather outside, the sky was clear of clouds except for a few which were white and poofy, with the sun hanging lazily on the horizon. It would of been a perfect day to catch a ride down to the beach and party hard with some of her mates, it would of been totally awesome and they were probably going to do it without her anyway. Oh why did she have to be 1000 miles away from 'the wrong crowd' that she loved to bits.
Her music was blaring and probably causing damage to her ear drums, but somehow the voice of the principle still managed to squeeze its way into JJs conscious and make her want to jump out the window just to end the torture. Sighing, she almost contemplated just missing breakfast and hiding in her room, maybe they might even expel her if she never left her room... But she new that was just to childish and it would take a major hit on her pride to do it, not to mention her stomach also announced its protest with a loud grumble. Standing up and yanking the headphone chord free from its socket, letting Linkin Parks song Runaway flow through its speaker and fill the room.
Singing along to the song, JJ began to pull on her school uniform. Unlike the usual one, JJ had made her own special adjustments which would probably annoy her parents and get her in trouble with the school, but when had she actually cared.
The uniforms was ugly, but school uniforms often were, and JJ had done what she could to moderate the damage. Pulling on a pair of fishnet tights underneath the school skirt which she had shortened so it sat happily around her midthigh and had been stitched so that it looked more of a pencil skirt and looked tighter. Slipping a black vest underneath her white blouse of which she had chopped the sleeves of so that you could see her shoulders, which she left completely unbutton. She tied her tie loosely around her neck and slipped on her favourite black boots.
Looking in the mirror she couldn't help but grin, she looked hot. To bad it was wasted on this school. Leave her hair to hang down her back she left it as it was, it being enough of a statement what with the green highlights that would probably be pink next week. Starting on her makeup she did heavy mascara and eyeliner to make her eyes pop, also adding on a bit of red lipgloss. Finishing off the assemble, she pulled on her many, many bands and bracelets as well as a Chocker and silver chains around her waist.
Grinning she stooped down to pick up her phone and plugged her headphones back in as she exited the room, stuffing the earplugs back into her ears and letting the music wash over her as she wondered down the hall towards the canteen. Strolling in she quickly glanced around to see most of the tables were fill, the only one left having a single girl occupying it, playing around with her food. Guess that was probably her best bet, after all, the rest of the girls that were gathered around looked like bumbling idiots who could only gossip and insult others. They probably didn't even know who 'bring me the horizon' or 'eversance' were!!!
Walking over, she plopped her bag down and took a seat as she began to eat her grim meal, never even nothing to pull out her headphones. Maybe it was rude, but than again if the girl wanted to talk to her she could always throw something at JJs face, that's what all her mates had done when she decided to ignore them in favour of her music.
wow. she thought, boarding school!
The metalic doors opened and she was greeted by rays of bright sunshine glaring into her face. She pulled up her hands and spread her fingers over her eyes, waiting for them to adjust to the seemingly blinding UV filled rays. At first, only one figure sitting at the eating tables focused. At that moment she rushed forward to the table, remembering who it was. Diana Morozov, the famous snowboarder. She sat down at the table, now that her eyes were used to the mid-July sun, and tried to calm herself down. One of her idols was going to her school, one of her idols was going to her school. She kept having to repeat it in her mind. She poked at her food and sighed, noticing that apart from Diana there was another girl. One that looked as though she would probably rather be in jail than accept the uniform code, wearing a very revealing uniform. But on the other hand Diana looked like she wanted to kill someone, or something.
Victoria coughed lightly and took a deep breath in, ready to say something., seeing as nobody else was going to.
"Isn't this food disgusting," She said, cautiously. She needed to make some friends, and seeing as she was now sitting next to the best snowboarder in Russia, this seemed like the prime time, "Couldn't they at the least give us something to eat actually worth eating!?" She moved the bowl of youghurt away and took a packet of chewing gum out of her pocket, popping a bit in her mouth.
A bleached blonde girl passed their table, smirking at the three girls. She giggled and wispered at her friend....
"So ugly...gonna get kicked out....." Was all Victoria heard.
Looking at the two girls, she gave them both once overs. The blonde was a total dear, with her blonde hair, cute face and perfect school uniform, she looked innocent as hell which almost caused her to chuckle, sugars got guts. The other girl was taller than JJ and had long, dark hair which screamed elegance and maturity and with her uniform slightly tighter as if it were a few sizes to small. "So we have sugar and tall, dark and beautiful, got it." She thought to herself as she tuned into what sugar was saying.
"Couldn't they at the least give us something to eat actually worth eating!?", JJ smirked and nodded her head as sugar pulled out some gum, "Be a doll and lend me some, don't think my stomach can handle any more of this crap..." She said as she pushed some of the food around her plate, "I think I just saw something move..." She commented blandly with a stoic expression as she eyed the food suspiciously.
"So ugly...gonna get kicked out.....", glancing up when she heard the whispered insult, JJ gave sugar an evil grin before nodding her head towards the fake blonde bimbo and her friend in an watch this gesture. Dipping her spoon into the gloopy yogurt, she pulled the head back just a little and aimed at the girl with bleached hair that had her back to the little group of three. "Fire in the hole!" She yelled as she let the yogurt fly and hit the bimbo in the back of the head, causing all her blonde hair to stick together in clumps as it ran down her back and uniform. The girls turned around, her face red in anger as she glared at JJ who just offered a cute, innocent smile in return. Speechless and enraged the girl walked away with her friend as JJ burst out laughing.
"It is absolutely disgusting to eat but dammmmn doe it make fine food fight ammo." She said to sugar while keeping her eyes on the bimbo as she walked though the canteen with yogurt dripping down her back, "I'm JJ by the name, might I ask what your names?" She commented nonchalant as she turned back to face the two girls, pretending like she hadn't just fired yogurt at some girls head or probably gotten herself into trouble because of it.
"I'm Irene," she couldn't manage to look JJ in the eyes, but watched the other girl walk away, dripping yogurt and squealing with disgust. Irene stifled a laugh as she snapped a picture with her camera. "Everyone called me Reno back home, or Rena if you prefer."
She rolled up her sleeves and pushed the food away; the thought of finishing the meal was unappealing. It occured to Irene that they might not have seen her enter, or even sit down, and chuckled to herself, dumping the small bowl of berries into the yogurt and mushing it together. The milky yogurt almost immediately took on the cherry red color of the fruit, which reminded Irene briefly of blood. She let the mixture fall off of her spoon with a satisfyingly sickening plop, and glanced around the table at the other girls, her dormmate sat amongst them, as well as a tall brunette who looked ready to commit murder. Irene wasn't about to ask why, but assumed it had something to do with being sent to Bridgent, as she had been so ticked off with her parents she ended up going to a party and walking six miles home at three in the morning. They were so infuriated they sent her off early, didn't even let her say good-bye to her friends. That was the worst part.
"Where are y'all from?" Irene shifted her hands so that they cupped her face, though her cheeks were already red from being propped on her knuckles.
It wasn’t until another girl sat at their table did Diana make sure to stop staring. The newer girl was obviously different from the girl who had already sat with Diana. But that wasn’t necessarily bad. She had bleach-blonde hair and an uplifting aura about her, despite the awful situation all of them were in.
"Isn't this food disgusting? Couldn't they at the least give us something to eat actually worth eating!?
Diana was about to open her mouth when she was silenced by someone speaking in the background.
"So ugly...gonna get kicked out....."
Something seemed to twitch inside of Diana. She gripped the metal spoon so tightly her knuckles turned white. Her teeth were to tightly clenched you could see the muscles along her jawline. If there was one thing Diana hated, it was bullies. She was about to stand up when a splattering sound echoed through the air. The first girl who had sat at their table had launched yogurt at the bully. Diana’s reaction completely shifted. She let her hand cover her mouth so you couldn’t see her giggling quietly. It was rather obvious, however, as her shoulders shook with laughter. Diana watched with bright eyes as the blonde bully stomped off.
"It is absolutely disgusting to eat but dammmmn does it make fine food fight ammo."
Diana nodded, flashing a devilish smirk as she glanced back at the angry blonde leaving the pavilion area.
"I'm JJ by the name, might I ask what your names?"
Diana opened her mouth, just about to speak, when she was interrupted.
“I’m Irene. Where are y’all from?”
Diana was taken aback slightly. She found herself repeatedly asking ‘Where did she come from!?’
“Ahh… well, before I say anything, that was some fine aiming, JJ.” Diana said with a soft coo at the end of her sentence, adding in a small wink in the direction of the rebellious girl.
Am… am I flirting? Diana’s face flushed slightly and she leaned back, crossing her arms. She hoped no one would notice as the blush quickly faded from her face.
“My name is Diana. Diana Morozov. And yes, that is Russian.” She said, leaning forwards again. This time she intertwined her fingers and rested both of her elbows on the table, placing her chin on the top of her hands. Her eyes shimmered in the light, her irises a dark blue in the center and slowly lightening until the edges of it was a pale silver. Another smirk played on her lips, but she resisted it. Her eyes slowly drifted back to her plate. She sighed softly. “If only I had known that they would be serving us such garbage… I would have brought some snacks or something…” Even though it was somewhat a secret, Diana had a large amount of snacks hidden in her room. Bringing large quantities of outside food wasn’t allowed, but no one was going to take away her Cheeze Doodles. No one.
“You guys are welcome to stop by and grab a snack or something after school if you’d like… dorm four, room seven.” Diana said, but a bit cautiously. She didn’t know if she was doing this right… was this how people made friends? She wasn’t sure.
“Oh and JJ.” Her gaze rested on the rebel once more, though Diana’s face was a bit more serious now, “Lily Allen is a great artists. Though I prefer some of her older songs to her newer ones, she’s still pretty cool. Even though I’ve always gravitated more around rock and alternative than spunky pop, she’s one of the few modern pop artists I can bare. Her, Imagine Dragons, and Maroon 5.”
She noticed the other girl who had joined. "Oh, hello Irene," Victoria paused, watching Irene playing with her slop, "Ummmmm... you all right?" Before she gave any time for Irene to reply she murmured something else, and then picked up a slimy handful of yougurt and threw it at the direction of another table.
"Now this. THIS, is going to be interesting!"
After all, things really did need spicing up, all her life she had been a boring and mature person, and now she was throwing it all away, with that bowl of food.
"I would actually really like to come for a snack though," She said to Diana, "Otherwise I might die of starvation before term is over!"
“I’m Irene. Where are y’all from?” the kitten asked as she began to play with her food, mixing the yogurt and berries together to creat a bloody concoction, before tall, dark and beautiful began to talk as well. “Ahh… well, before I say anything, that was some fine aiming, JJ.” She said as she sent JJ a wink before blushing slighting and causing the blonde to smirk at her. “My name is Diana. Diana Morozov. And yes, that is Russian., Dia lent foward and rested her arms against the table before looking down at her food and giving a sigh, "If only I had known that they would be serving us such garbage… I would have brought some snacks or something… You guys are welcome to stop by and grab a snack or something after school if you’d like… dorm four, room seven.”. Dia finished a little hesitantly as she made the offer, almost as if she want used to doing so.
"Why thank you, I do take great pride in my spoon firing skills, and I will definatly be taking you up on that offer Dia." She said with a cheeky grin and a wink of her own
"I would actually really like to come for a snack though," She heard Sugar say to Dia, [/b]"Otherwise I might die of starvation before term is over!"[/b]. JJ smiled a little before nodding her head slighting in agreement before deciding to copy kitten and make a bloody berry and yogurt combo.
“Oh and JJ.” Glancing up from her potion making to met the russians eyes, she turned her head to the side slightly at Dias serious expression. “Lily Allen is a great artists. Though I prefer some of her older songs to her newer ones, she’s still pretty cool. Even though I’ve always gravitated more around rock and alternative than spunky pop, she’s one of the few modern pop artists I can bare. Her, Imagine Dragons, and Maroon 5.”
JJ couldn't stop the grin that spread across her face as she literally lunged across the table and took both of Dia's hands in her own before going into a rant about music she was so famous for back home, "Really? I haven't really listened to her much but a friend showed me 'Hard out Here' and I thought it was so ironically true so I got it on my music list immediately! I haven't really listened to any of her other songs before but maybe I should check. Imagine dragons is AMAZING and I am totally in love with their song demons! I do agree with you on the rock an alternate though I'm a more punk-pop and punk-rock chicks myself, ever heard of the band 'All time low'? Their pretty good and I do love their song 'Break you little heart' though they do have other good songs as well, I also love 'bowling for soup'. Their a bit old but their songs 'highschool never ends' and 'I'm gay' always make me happy no matter where I am or way I'm doing." She couldn't stop the natter that came out of her mouth when she heard that Dia had a clue who Lily Allen was as well as imagine dragons and had gotten slightly carried away as she began to list of her favourite bands and songs in quick succession, barely stoping to breath.
Irene looked up from her yogurt as her dorm mate, Victoria, spoke. "Oh yeah," she mumbled, "I'm fine." She watched the handful of yogurt sail through the air, prompting Irene to flick a blood red spoonful into the hair of a brunette girl. As the girl turned around, fanning her face as though it would make the yogurt disappear, Irene readied her camera and snapped a shot. She wanted her mother to know just what kind of school she was going to. The thought made Irene smile devilishly.
“You guys are welcome to stop by and grab a snack or something after school if you’d like… dorm four, room seven.”
"I have a couple 2 liter sodas hidden at the bottom of one of my suitcases. " Irene smiled towards the group, "I might have some juice too. Let's make a party out of this!"
The babble that flowed from JJ's mouth made Irene sit back and laugh. "Imagine Dragons is one of my favorite bands, or at least it was until I listened to every song I could illegally download on shuffle for at least two months and finally realized that they are great in moderation. I have about thirty songs or so of theirs on my phone." She smiled, "Personally, my favorite song is Tokyo. The tempo just gets me pumped up every time I hear it. I used to listen to it before competitions. They also have a short little song called Rocks which is cute. I think my favorite band would have be Rise Against though, if anyone's heard of them. Hero of War always makes me cry. It's so touching. I haven't listened to them in a while, but I have heard of All Time Low. They're a fantastic band. I saw them in concert a long time ago," She sucked in a deep breath, and started to laugh again. She'd always fought to fit in back home, never the rich brat she was "supposed" to be. It was nice to be able to talk about what she loved for once.
"Really? I haven't really listened to her much but a friend showed me 'Hard out Here' and I thought it was so ironically true so I got it on my music list immediately! I haven't really listened to any of her other songs before but maybe I should check. Imagine dragons is AMAZING and I am totally in love with their song demons! I do agree with you on the rock an alternate though I'm a more punk-pop and punk-rock chicks myself, ever heard of the band 'All time low'? Their a bit old but their songs 'highschool never ends' and 'I'm gay' always make me happy no matter where I am or way I'm doing."
JJ spewed out dozens of words and song titles and artists, practically overwhelming Diana. Right when she was about to speak, she was once again interrupted by the girl named Irene.
"Imagine Dragons is one of my favorite bands, or at least it was until I listened to every song I could illegally download on shuffle for at least two months and finally realized that they are great in moderation. I have about thirty songs or so of theirs on my phone. Personally, my favorite song is Tokyo. The tempo just gets me pumped up every time I hear it. I used to listen to it before competitions. Diana nodded slightly, clearing her throat for a moment. Before she spoke, she tore her hands from JJ, and before the girl could back up into her seat again, Diana clasped her hands around JJ’s, smirking just a bit.
“Hmm… I do really like Imagine Dragons, their song Demons is pretty good, though I like My Fault and Tiptoe a bit better than Tokyo. As for Lily Allen, you should really check out some of her older songs. My favorite song by her would probably have to be Fuck You. And I’m not cursing at you or anything, that is literally the title of the song.” Diana giggled a bit, the thought of her blasting that song all throughout her house as her father shouted at her to turn down such ‘inappropriate’ music. “Like I said, I like rock and some electric thrown in there a bit more than pop. I love bands like Skillet, 30 Seconds the Mars and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Linkin Park is pretty awesome as well, Nobody’s Listening would have to be my favorite song by them. I’ve never really been a big fan of Rise Against, sorry Irene.” She flashed an oddly friendly smile in the other girls direction before turning to face JJ again. She refused to break eye contact with her, for if she did Diana was afraid her own eyes would wander a bit too much.
“Even though rock is great, there is that occasional really good sorta ‘mainstream’ pop song that comes out that is really good. Ever heard Troublemaker by Olly Murs with Flo Rida in it? That song has been stuck in my head for such a long time…” Diana was about to say ‘every song gets stuck in my head, indefinitely’ but shut her mouth before she could utter the words.
“As for the little party idea, I’m up for it. I’ve got plenty of snacks for all of us. Oh and does anyone know when they’ll be giving us… uhh… what’re they called again… I dunno, free days of sorts? Leaving days? I’m not sure, but all I know is that at academies like these, they usually have days where you’re actually allowed to leave the school property and stuff. If we can… I’d really love to go to Hemel Hempstead! Its about a forty minutes drive from here and my brother told me about a really nice indoor snowboarding place there!” The thought of snowboarding caused Diana’s mood to soar from semi-happy to energizer-bunny excited. She began to fidget in her seat, not really realizing she was still holding JJ’s hands tightly in her own. “Gosh… I haven’t snowboarded in weeks.. and I’ve been itching to slip on my heavy boots and my blue and red helmet!” Diana hummed happily under her breath, smiling at the pure thought of snowboarding again.
But, secretly, Diana didn’t really want any fans or anything in the school. Even though it was only for a few months between winning the qualifier and her mother’s sudden sickness, Diana remembers all of the things she had done then very vividly. Only a few weeks after winning, she was offered quite a few modelling jobs for sports magazines and such. She accepted most of them, including being on the front cover for Sports Illustrated. She had accepted the job without knowing most of the details, which included her wearing a heavy winter jacket over a rather revealing winter-themed outfit, posing next to her snowboard. Oh dear God, she hoped no body in the school knew of that little occurrence.
She suddenly became very flustered again, letting go of JJ’s hands. “Ahh.. sorry for rambling slightly there.. I get really excited over snowboarding… especially since its been a quite a while…” She sighed softly, leaning forwards to rest her chin on her palm with her elbow propped on the table.
"A party sounds fun... unfortunatly the only thing I could contribute is a litre bottle of vodka..." She blushed.
Victoria wanted know one to know, but she really did want the convirsation about music to stop. Really she thought most artists were just overated and knew that they were going to get money for how they acted. Another reason was that she really only liked two groups/artists: The Beatles and David Bowie. But the kind of music that the other three were talking about was a tender subject for her. Her best friend had died in hospital listening to a Lilly Allen song, but heck, she wasn't gonna' give them that story.
A pained look cane across her face and she grabbed her bag and left the table, walking off to her first class.
"Bye guys..."
The sun was still high up in the sky as her mary janes made a pitter patter noise on the cobbkestone ground of the quadrangle. She sniffed, trying to hold back tears, but then all at once they came tumbling down her face, still she kept walking.
Hearing Diana clear her throat, JJ turned her attention to the Russian. Glancing down when she felt Dia slipping her hands free, blushing ever so slightly when she realised she had done it again, however before she could pull away, Dia grabbed her hands and gave her a smirk which made her blush intensify though she hide it well and just threw the girl her own smirk in return.“Hmm… I do really like Imagine Dragons, their song Demons is pretty good, though I like My Fault and Tiptoe a bit better than Tokyo. I’ve never really been a big fan of Rise Against, sorry Irene.” She sent Irena a smile before she turned her gaze back to JJ, causing the rebel to swallow when she didn't break eye contact, “Even though rock is great, there is that occasional really good sorta ‘mainstream’ pop song that comes out that is really good. Ever heard Troublemaker by Olly Murs with Flo Rida in it? That song has been stuck in my head for such a long time…”
JJ nodded her head and gave the two girls a grin, "Definatly, though some modern stuff is to mainstream you defiantly get those diamonds in the rough, Love troublemaker and I even got it on my iPod because i liked it so much, though I do like most of Olly Murs's songs. And no fair Ira, I wanted to see all time low in concert so badly!!" She couldn't help but whine the last part while pouting at Irena, she had finally got some tickets for their show in London but than she had been moved over here and had missed their show! JJ began to daydream a little about one of her favourite bands, she was meant to meet them as well, seeing as she payed so much for those VIP tickets. She couldn't believe her parents made her miss the show! However she was drawn back to reality pretty quickly when she felt Dia's hands tighten on her own, as the girl began to fidget slightly as if excited. Looking up she tuned back in on the conversation.
“Gosh… I haven’t snowboarded in weeks.. and I’ve been itching to slip on my heavy boots and my blue and red helmet!”, JJ laughed slightly at the girls expression when the mention of snowboarding came up. Seemed she held the same love for the cold sport as JJ held for music. "Bit of a snowboard fanatic than?" She asked jokingly, sending the Russian a wink before pausing and giving the girl another once over. For some reason, JJ couldn't shake the feeling she had seen her around somewhere before... Though she couldn't place her finger on it...
“Ahh.. sorry for rambling slightly there.. I get really excited over snowboarding… especially since its been a quite a while…”, again JJ laughed as drew her hangs back across the table, where she stretched them over her head as she sent Dia a cheeky smile, "Don't worry about it, I get the same way over music, as demonstrated." She smiled as she brought her hands back down, crossing them in front of her as she lay her head down on them, watching the 3 girls through slightly closed eyes as her late night came back to her.
"Bye guys...", JJ turned her head a little to watch as sugar fled the room, continuing to watch her back until she vanished from sight by turning a corner. "Bye sugar..." She mumbled out, still looking at the spot where the blonde had vanished, "I wonder what's up with sugar, she didn't look so good just now..." JJ commented, without taking her eyes off the spot.
Diana watched at JJ sunk down a bit, closing her eyes partially. “Yeah… I guess you could say that…” Diana muttered softly while looking off into the distance, glad that JJ didn’t really know just how much she loved snowboarding. She looked at JJ for a moment, finding a small smirk spreading across her face. “You seem a bit tired, J. Had a rough night? I know I did..” Diana sighed, rubbing her eyes ever so slightly as she yawned, stretching her mouth open wide. “I swear, I could fall asleep right now…” She lifted her arms up in a long stretch, a few clicking sounds coming from her spine.
“Well, even if they don’t give us a day off, I’ll probably just ditch or something. I’m not going an entire year without snowboarding just because this school has stupid, strict rules… I’d be willing to bring and pay for anyone who wishes to come.” Diana said, crossing her arms and leaning back in her seat again, smiling. She did her best not to start squirming in her seat, the excitement getting to her again. She had even brought her snowboarding gear to the school, which was sitting in her room, probably collecting dust. “As for the little party, just come to my room after school. Irene can bring her soda and Victoria can bring her Vodka.” Diana once again grinned rather devilishly. She shrugged. “What? I’m Russian. And Russian’s love their Vodka. I’ve even had Vodka Ice Cream, which is delicious, might I add.”
"Bye guys..." Diana looked up to see Victoria abruptly get up and leave, which made the Russian tilt her head to the side in confusion. She quickly righted her head, however, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"I wonder what's up with sugar, she didn't look so good just now..." Diana nodded, silently agreeing with JJ.
“Hey… I’ll catch up with you guys after school or something.. I’m gonna go see if she’s alright..” Diana said a bit quietly as she grabbed her bag and stood up, pushing her chair in. She walked after Victoria quickly, subconsciously holding her skirt down in the back as she quickened her pace. Diana followed Victoria down the hall, wondering what had happened.
“Hey, Vicki, wait up!” Diana called slightly as she walked quickly enough so she was alongside the girl. “What happened? Are you-... oh.” Diana’s voice lowered as soon as she saw Vicki was crying. Diana went silent, not really sure what to do. Why would she, of all of the three others, go to try to see what was wrong? She was most likely the one with the least experience in people. Diana felt very awkward in this situation already. She bit her lip hard.
“U-umm… is everything a-alright?” Diana usually wasn’t the stuttering type, but she wasn’t very good at things like this. “You can tell me… I’m a pretty good listener… Y-you don’t have to tell me though, if you don’t want to!” She managed to stammer, trying not to blush.
Victoria turned around, tears spilling over the rims of her eyes like heavy raindrops.
“You can tell me… I’m a pretty good listener… Y-you don’t have to tell me though, if you don’t want to!”
She sniffed, and then started to laugh.
this girl, she thought as she continued to laugh hysterically, Is so incredibly awkward!
Victoria then forgot why she was upset and just kept laughing. Diana's face and stammering tone was just to much to take, she fell to the floor giggling, but then got up after seeing the bewildered faces of other students.
"Sorry about that..." Victoria wiped her eyes and crossed her arms, "I just get a little hysterical sometimes."
She knew very well that after that incident, Diana would think she was creepy and run off. Going off crying was not only attention seeking, but also pathetic -especially in front of almost the entire school!- What was I thinking!? Besides, the Bobby thing happened at least a year ago. I should have moved on by now! But Victoria hadn't. She still wished and pined for her dead best friend every day. Until now she hadn't really let it go. And now, she guessed, she would have to tell Diana, Irene and JJ about what happened. Which, was, of course a complete bummer.
"Well if you really want to know-" she began, cutting herself off, realising she didn't want to tell Diana here. "I can tell you at the party thingy." She brushed the invisible dust off her palms, "I mean, if the party is actually gonna' happen?"
Is she… is she laughing at me?
Diana asked herself quietly as the tips of her ears burned red from embarrassment. She looked down at the ground and shuffled on her feet a bit, feeling very awkward about the situation.
"Well if you really want to know-" Diana lifted her head just as Victoria began talking. "I can tell you at the party thingy. I mean, if the party is actually gonna' happen?"
Diana nodded a bit, still trying to recover from her awkwardness. “Well… yes, I told the others that if they wanted, they could come over after school is over. I told Irene to bring the soda and I would supply the snacks and such.” Diana nodded multiple times, thinking quietly herself.
Diana suddenly smirked slightly. “Oh and, Victoria, I saw you staring at me earlier…” She sighed, rubbing one of her temples with the palm of her hand. “You know who I am, don’t you? Someone was bound to recognize me…” Diana muttered, casting the occasional glance in the blonde’s direction.
Maddie closed the door behind her then stretched, then heard crying which turned into laughter down the hallway. She just stood there looking at her school mates conversing. "I can tell you at the party thingy. I mean, if the party is actually gonna' happen?" A party? I like parties. Maddie thought. Grglerglderg "Damn, why am I so hungry?!" She whispered to herself as she hugged her stomach.
"So what's with all the picture?" She asked, looking over at the camera that sat at Ira's side. "Nice shot with the red yogurt, looked a bit like blood." She commented off handedly while stirring her own gloopy, yogurt mixture. "I'm not much into photography but I had a friend who was absolutely in love with it, always taking photos of everything she saw, kind of like you actually. Only difference was she had bright blue hair and tattoo sleeves, but hay, we all express ourselves differently." She laughed as she remembered Kerry, they had been close friends and it had hurt to leave her manic 'picture speaks a thousand words' friend.
"Ever tried photographing the hidden city?" JJ asked, it wasn't anything special but it was a concept that her and her friends back home had come up with one day when hiding out at an underground skateboard lot. Every city had a face that it showed the world, it also had its reality, but there was also something below that reality and dream. Something hidden.
For those who knew about the hidden city would see a whole new world while walking through a street, the graffiti on the walls becomes art worthy of Leonardo Divinchi or an incripted code. The homeless become your best news network and dark old corner shops can hold the most amazing treasures, if you know how to find them.
Ira didn't look like the sort who had seen the hidden city, but than again, a camera lens opens up a whole new world apparently.
"So what's with all the picture?" Irene was brought back to earth by the sound of JJ's voice. She turned to face her, leaning on the table. Several small strands of hair had begun to fall from Irene's bun. She wished desperately just to pull her hair free and let it hang loosly, or to control the strands with a headband, but she was quite sure both actions would result in some sort of consequence.
She let out a breathless sort of chuckle as she ran her hand over her hair, smoothing the hairs down into place. "I got the camera from my best friend for Christmas last year, never really used it though, since we all had phones." She looked down at the simple camera, nothing fancy. She assumed Emilia had spent less than $20 on the simple gift. "I'm a third generation McLaugheln to go to Bridgent, but I had every intentions of finishing high school with the people I grew up with. Now that that's out of the question, I want to at least remember the good times and not the bad, since bad memories outweigh good ones."
"I'm not much into photography but I had a friend who was absolutely in love with it, always taking photos of everything she saw, kind of like you actually. Only difference was she had bright blue hair and tattoo sleeves, but hey, we all express ourselves differently."
"I've always just used my phone; I bought some gear so it was a bit like any other camera. I took pictures of everything, anything. But my parents and I got in a fight before they shipped me off and took it all with them on their trip to wherever. If I weren't terrified of needles I'd probably be just like your friend. Minus the blue hair of course. I'd go with red." Irene laughed.
"Ever tried photographing the hidden city?"
The brunette shook her head, staring into what was left of her yogurt. It looked disgusting, so she let her eyes fall back on the blonde girl. She was a different type of pretty, the kind Irene imagined hidding within boys clothes and skater shoes. JJ's outfit seemed to fit her vibrant personality; Irene was jealous of how comfortable she was with her skin. She shook off the distaste and instead sighed. "I never really got out much, aside from things my friends dragged me to, but even then, it was mostly movies, parties, dance clubs." She shook her head again, saddened by the memory. "I spent most of my time in the garden, rain or shine." A sad smile spread across Irene's face as she stood up, sliding the small camera back into her purse. "We should probably head to class, shouldn't we?"

Fawn was by no means a troublemaker. And she was almost never late for class. Almost. Why she had slept in today of all days was beyond her. She hadn't slept well, but there were a lot of nights she didn't "sleep well". Normally, it was from anticipation. Maybe she was looking forward to a protest the next day; or it was possible she was anxious to try an ace her chemistry test, but neither of those were why she hadn't slept well. Fawn no completely understood the feeling of dread. At the moment, she didn't share a room with anyone. That was mostly a relief for Fawn, because she didn't want to have a roommate she would completely clash with. In one way though, it was a curse. It mean she didn't know anybody in this godforsaken school.
Right now though, she didn't have any time to be thinking about that. She had already missed most of her morning classes, and she was about to miss fourth period. If someone had looked into her room, they would've see nothing but a white and blue blur. Fawn was running around, dressing as fast as she could. She braided her light brown hair with the accuracy of a professional and was hopping out of her room, putting one shoe on. She skidded into the hallway and out of the doors, racing past surprised caretakers as they cleaned up breakfast. Fawn's stomach rumbled at the thought of food. She had been too anxious to eat the night before.
She pushed back the feeling of hunger as she entered the school building. Her panic spiked when she saw that the halls were empty, but she continued racing down the hallway. It was another few minutes before she threw open the door to her fourth period class, breathing heavily. All the girls looked up, but the teacher wasn't in the room. Fawn let out a sigh of relief, she had made it.
