... Should be any second now...
Seriously?!
Breanna waited for a response, but no such thing. She sighed, and got up. She rushed around her room, looking for what to wear. In minutes, Breanna had slid some comfortable, yet fashionable clothes. It is my first day after all, I should make a good impression. Breanna went to the bathroom and pulled her hair back. She washed her face off and began rapidly brushing through her thick brown hair. Breanna looked at the modern clock they kept in the bathroom, and realized she had 50 minutes left to get ready.Katie, you better hope you forgot about me and went to work, otherwise I'll kill you!
Breanna went into her room and got out her hair straightener. She plugged it in near the mirror and took out her makeup, while it started to heat up.I guess I do have quite a ways to go before school starts.
I, Mrs. Palmer, your school principal, would like to inform you that October 28th to October 31st will be put towards preparations for our Halloween Bash and there will be no classes. You must wear a costume to get in, and if you volunteer, you get in for free! The Halloween Bash will be held on October 31st, starting from 12 'o' clock in the afternoon and will last until 7pm, where you will also be asked to escort young children trick or treating. It would be a great help if you volunteer and you will get extra credit in participation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
Mrs. Kerrie Ann Palmer.
Breanna struggled to pick up her things as she expected a response.I am so so, sorry, oh my gosh, I can't believe I just did that!

Jack sighed some as he fiddled around his bag looking for a pen. Once he found on he began to fill out the forms. He arrived at school on time, and continued to fill his forms out. "Hey Shark how was your summer" was a common greeting towards him. It seemed as if everyone knew him, and no one ever called him by his real name, but his parents, but even they were starting to call him his nickname. Jack was heading to his first class as he ran into someone. As his papers went everywhere, he mumbled under his breath. "Damn it!" Jack said under his breath. He dropped to his knees to help pick up her stuff as well as his.
Jack went through the papers looking specially for his papers. He heard her apologize and shook his head. "No, I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention where I was walking." Jack said as he looked into her arms and seeing some of his papers, and reached for them. As he reached for his papers, he handed the young lady her papers. He looked at her schedule and noticed she had three out of the four classes with him. "Oh, you have Mrs. Daniels same time with me. If you're going to her class, you're heading the wrong way." Jack said still not looking up at the girl he ran into.
Cassandra heard her alarm clock go off but ignored it at first to sleep a little bit more, she liked the song that she had set as an alarm sound. It was a melodic sound with a violin and a piano. It used to be her mother's favourite song and she had kept it as her alarm sound after she had died. Her father hadn't really approved it but never forced her to change it. She almost drifted back to sleep before a knock was heard from her door.
"Cassandra, sweetheart. Time to get up, I'm leaving in a minute." Her father said through the door and then went away. Cassandra reluctantly sat up in her bed and stretched a bit before she went off the bed to go to the kitchen. Her father stood there, checking if he had everything with him. "Good morning. I'll probably stay late tonight. I packed your lunch in your bag and all of your books that you left chattered over the kitchen table stands there." He pointed at the kitchen table and there stood a neat pile with books and notebooks.
"Oh, thank you dad. I'll see you tomorrow then. Love you." She said with a smile and kissed his cheek. The only difference between them was that he had dark hair. Her golden blonde hair, she'd gotten from mother, otherwise they were really alike. She went to get some breakfast.
"Love you too kiddo. I'll see you tomorrow. Call if anything happens." He said before he closed the door behind him. Cassandra couldn't help but roll her eyes. He always said the same thing, every morning but she never complained really. It was a daily morning routine for them. She made some toast and drank orange juice, cleaned up after her and then went to take a shower.
She grabbed some clothes and dried her hair, brushing it and then went to the kitchen again. She wanted to go through her books once again but, it wasn't really necessary. She could head to school and be there a good time before her classes started. Or she could take it slow, walking to school. She usually took her bike to school. She hummed a bit and then took the books for her classes today, put it down in her bag. She looked at the clock and bit on her bottom lip, she had 30 minutes to get to school.
"Oh screw it.." She muttered, grabbing her bag, shoved on her boots, took her black helmet and leather jacket. She put her other jacket in her bag before taking on the leather jacket. She should wear the whole outfit but her father let her be on that. She did it when she wanted to take a longer ride. She took out her bike from the garage and put on her helmet. The motorcycle purred into life under her hands and she took down the visor before driving away towards the school.
She didn't really take the straight way to her school and by the time she parked her bike and everything, she just had a couple of minutes before her class would begin. She went straight for the room where her first class would and tested the door. Yes, it was her lucky day today. She smiled for herself and went inside to sit down at one of the seats to the windows, in the middle. She didn't want to sit too far away or too close so she wouldn't get so many questions. It made her nervous to talk in front of the class and nervousness meant stuttering and that was something she really didn't want to do.
She placed her helmet on the floor under the desk with her bag after she had placed her books on the desk. She only zipped up her jacket so she wouldn't get to warm, she really liked the smell of leather. And oil of course. It all reminded her of what she and her father did when they had the time. Or rather, when he had the time.
The shiba inu was already halfway down the block before Sho even had the chance to pick up his other shoe. The youth groaned loudly in frustration as he plopped down onto one of the lower stairs and yanked the other shoe onto his foot. Now he was probably going to be late, and on his first day too!
He pushed himself to his feet and tapped the toe of his left shoe twice on the pavement before he took off after the adventurous dog, who thankfully; hadn't made it as far as Sho had expected. "Mizuki! Sit!"
On command.. Mizuki turned and faced her tiny master and barked. She wasn't really the best trained dog in the world. Sho clipped her lead onto the red leather collar with a semi amused, semi frustrated sigh before he led his best friend back home. He ducked down the side of the building to the backyard and let her off the lead, rolling it up in one hand. "Now, I'll be back later today. Try not to be too annoying, okay?" He crouched down and wrapped his arms around her, the nerves in his stomach fluttering as he realised just how nerve-wracking this day would be.
After a few moments, Mizuki decided to go roll on the lawn; lawn was far more interesting than holding still! The Asian youth stood up again and set the lead onto a table on the back porch and hefted the bag on his shoulder up a little.
"Okay, school. Yeah. You can do this." Talking to yourself. Good start.
At least the school was within walking distance, and it was a nice day. Right?
It took him a little over fifteen minutes of walking before the school building was in sight, and his pace slowed a little as his chocolate gaze darted from student to student. Most of them were in pretty fashionable clothes, that looked pretty expensive. His own clothing looked... lived in. Faded, old, a few tears in the jeans. Perhaps he should have done some extra work to get some new clothes to wear on his first day.
Oh well, too late now. They'll see you and judge you, and you'll be alone at lunch time.
That nagging voice in his head was really annoying sometimes. Not to mention he was fine with being alone at lunch, alone meant no crowds and no one being nosy about him. Yeah. Take that stupid worrying voice thing.
How long had he been just standing here staring? Too long, he guessed.
"Now or never." He said softly to... well, himself.
Taking a deep (albeit shaky) breath, he headed onto the school grounds and made his way inside. Too bad he was late, he'd have to find his locker later - for now he had to get to his first class... Wherever that was. Great, now he'd gone from standing around looking nervous, to looking lost.
Good going, Sho. This is going to be a great first day...
"Do I really have to do this?" Kalare cut her eyes to her aunt, a look of irritation plastered on her face. She had been eyeing the school with disdain since they pulled up in front of it, her nose turned up at the billions of sluts prancing around in too-short skirts and kill-me-now high heels. Okay, maybe the jab about the heels were a bit hypocritical, she surmised, as she glanced at her own ankle booties. But she looked reasonable. Half of these girls looked like they worked at that rank strip club in town and the others looked like they hadn't seen a brush in years.
"Stop," her aunt begged and Kalare rolled her eyes, throwing her head back and letting out a loud groan. The woman had caught her judging people. Again. The nosy bitch. And since when did her aunt even care about her coming to school? She was home-schooled. She had a tutor, a very well-paid for tutor who visited every single day. Who gave her aunt the power to change all of that? She heard her aunt clear her throat once more and Kalare returned her gaze to the older woman. "Kalli - " Didn't she know Kalare hated when people called her that? "I know you hate this...I know that. You're not used to going to school and purposefully being around others. But...I want you to at least try. Try to be normal." Kalare snorted.
"Normal," she spat and let out a dry laugh. She smirked at her aunt. "Damn, you must really be in denial -
"Kalare, I will not accept this language from -
"There is no normal in this world, Aunt Kathy," she informed her with a sharp tone. "The so-called normalcy in this world is from the people that are either like you and in denial or the others who are truly unaware victims." They sat their in silence, both eyeing the other. One in contempt and the other in sadness. "Thanks for pretending to care, but I'd rather have Clark pick me up after school." Kalare swung the passenger door open and slammed in before her aunt could get one word out. She fixed the gold chain of her pendant, rolling her shoulders as she readied herself mentally for this place.
Despite her obvious dislike of the area, the tiny butterflies swarming around in the pit of her belly only revealed that she was slightly...dare she say it, nervous? Her obvious reclusiveness was brought on by her parents' decision to have her home-schooled and because of that, Kalare was nor prepared for the teenage environment. All of this felt so new to her, like when her parents first carved her wooden stakes into sais. She had actually been like the normal - God, she hated that word - teenage girl and spent half the night finding a suitable outfit. After awhile, she ended up picking something she would wear at home anyway. It suited her needs and lucky for her, she still could fight in heels. Her jeans were stretchable enough.
"Try to have a good day, Kalare." She heard her aunt call from the car and waited for the car to pull away before she turned back around. She eyed the place the car had taken up before facing the school again and walking inside.
If there was one thing that Kalare hated more than anything, it was being around new people. She wasn't exactly the people person that her father had been. Apparently, he was the big man on campus in school. Kalare....she didn't even know how to navigate getting to her locker yet. She only followed the directions her aunt gave, which were to find the office. After having the stupid receptionist comment about how pretty she was and how she hoped Kalare enjoyed being at the school and all that jazz, Kalare shoved her way through the throng of people. Most stared and observed the new girl. All she did was stare straight ahead, hand itching to backhand everyone. She made it to her first class successfully, not having to snap at anyone or hit them. Luckily, it wasn't exactly full. There was this one blonde and maybe a few more, so Kalare took the back seat beside the window.
Breanna was about to show him her schedule, when she seen his name on one of his papers, one of the papers that were flipped towards her. Jack Mandil... I know I've heard that name before... Jack-- Then suddenly it came to her.Yeah, I'm actually supposed to go there to drop off some papers, but aren't there no classes for the next few days? There was a note on my schedule...
Cassandra sat with her eyes closed for a while until the door open and she thought the class was about to start but in came a pretty red head who looked new. She hadn't seen her the other years she'd been in this school. She smiled as a greeting towards the girl before looking down at her books again. Was the teacher late? Mr. Wilson usually wasn't this late for his classes. He's a pretty strict teacher.
She tapped her fingers softly at her books for a while before opening her notebook to read through her latest notes, that's when she discovered the letter which it stood that there wouldn't be any classes due to the Halloween Bash. She groaned and slapped her notebook closed before packing everything. How could she forget that? Oh well, no classes and you would get extra credit if you volunteered so there's nothing really bad about the whole thing. But should she really volunteer? She bit her bottom lip thoughtful a she threw her bag over her shoulder, grabbed her helmet and went to the door. She stopped when she remembered the new girl.
It took some shuffling through her backpack to fish out the note about the Halloween Bask and folded it twice. She walked to the new girl with a smile. "Hey there, uh. I noticed that you might be new, well obviously you are. But, um.. The c-classes are cancelled due to an event we call Halloween Bash. Anyway, here. Th-th-this will give you the details about it." She said as she handed the note to give it to the girl. "I hope you'll have a good time here." She gave her a last smile before heading out from there.
As soon as she came out from the class room, she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. That went well, the girl maybe didn't even notice her stuttering. Took it maybe as a bit of nervousness. No harm done so far, oh who was she kidding? There's no way the girl didn't notice. Okay, no. Positive thinking, positive thinking.
So, time to decide if she would volunteer or not, if she did volunteer she'd get extra credit for the whole thing but she also would need to talk to a lot of people. Children wouldn't really make fun of her stuttering, she hoped. Or did they? She sighed deeply and then moved to her locker, she needed to put her leather jacket away and then secure her helmet at her bike which she had forgot that she usually did, until right now actually. Wow, out in the blue much?
She moved through the flow of people with ease and was almost at the door when she noticed a lost boy standing in the middle of the hall. She slowed her steps to see if he was just looking around or if he was fully new. He looked like someone who just started this year. Should she walk to him and help him or not? He seemed harmless. She approached him carefully and smiled friendly at him. "New here?" She asked, holding her right hand on the strap of her bag and the left one she held her helmet.
Everyone was usually invited, unless someone had done something to piss her off. Maggie had always been a firm believer that everyone had the right to a good time just some deserved to have an even better one. By inviting nerds, Jocks and weirdo's she could ensure that everyone would be talking about just how awesome her party would be. She Loved the attention.
It was the usual morning routine. Wake up early to apply generous amounts of moisturiser to her face before she did her makeup. Perfectly of course.
Maggie had always prided herself on her looks, it was namely why she was so popular in school. SHe could often get out of Homework deadlines by using a sweet smile and batting her eyelids. This wasn't to say that she wasn't intelligent, Maggie could be quite manipulative and excelled in subjects like literature and gym. No wonder she was so perfect in her own mind.
Maggie put her clothes on and showered, not in that order of course before she jumped into the back of her Mothers car. Her Mom was a single parent, Maggie's father had a different family who lived in the same town. In fact, he had a son a year younger that her making them Half siblings.
Her mother never went in to why her father left so soon after Maggie had been born though he did make regular payments to make sure she had a good upbringing.
Once the shining silver car pulled up outside school, Maggie hopped out and headed to the drivers side window.
' Have a good day Magpie, Be great' Her mother said before kissing her auburn haired daughter on the cheek. It was the same thing that she said everyday, though Maggie never got tired of hearing it.
' See you Later Mom.
With that, her Mother drove away.
Maggie quickly pulled out her party invitations from her brown leather Satchel. It was not a designer bag, Maggie could not afford such luxary but she was always well dressed and liked to make sure people knew about it.
She walked into the Hallway, a few people scurried by her and most of the boys stopped to stare as usual. She ignored this and headed straight towards her group of 'Friends'. She divided the invites out between them, making sure they knew who was not invited and then set off to begin inviting people to her party.

"What are you doing here? You're suppose to be in L.A." Jack said as he returned the hug that she gave him. He couldn't stop looking in the girl's eyes. Jack didn't know what else to say, or do. He usually wasn't nervous around anyone, but Lynn was a completely different story. He began to fiddle around with his papers from the nervousness building. Everything stopped when a tall boy with a football build and a letterman jacket on, walked up.
"Hey Shark, Some of us guys are going to throw a party friday night. Why don't you come and bring some friends." The guy said, and then looked at Breanna. "You can come too Sweets, and if you get tired of hanging out with Shark here, you can always hang out with me." The guy added. Jack nodded some and theyn bit his tongue from what the guy said. "Jerk..." Jack said after the jock walked away.
Breanna thought about when she discovered that she became the slayer and how Hellen died. Her face went a little darker and she sighed. I guess I should probably tell him about Hellen... Breanna cleared her throat and looked back at Jack, who was already staring into her eyes.Geez, you sound happy to see me. Things happened back home...
Hellen was murdered, and it was hard for me to stay... so Katie decided it would be best if we moved as soon as possible.
Well, we should probably go to that classroom, eh?
"New here?"
The question snapped the tiny Japanese teen from his confusion and he turned his head to face the pretty blonde, a smile gracing his lips. "Uh, I guess it's obvious huh?" He shuffled his left foot against the ground, then jutted his hand out towards her. "I'm Sho, nice to meet you."
Cassandra couldn't help but giggle. "Yeah it was. You looked pretty lost there." She said with a smile and when he held out his hand to her, she hesitated a second before letting go of the strap to her bag and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you Sho, my names is C-c.." Her smile faltered a bit but she cleared her throat, taking a breath. "Cassandra." She let go of his hand a took a little step backwards.
"There's no um.. Classes today or for the next three days due to the Halloween Bash." She said a bit slow as if she thought them through before she said them. She really didn't want to start stutter again, it was so close and she could feel that it would happen again, right there on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't just leave him now without explaining where everything stands and so on. It wouldn't be polite at all. "Everything stands on the Bulletin Board. Just, d-d-down the hall." She grabbed the strap again and clenched her hand, then turned to point with her helmet. "D-down there and you'll see the b-b.." She drew a frustrated breath and cleared her throat. "Board on the left side." She paused for a half second between every word.
She just wanted to go out from here now. God how she hated it, the anxiety over her stuttering grew and she knew it wouldn't help her at all. Positive thinking. Positive thinking. She turned to him again and gave him a somewhat forced smile. "I hope you'll have a g-g-good time here. I.. Um.. Need to go." She said without meeting his eyes and walked past him to get out from the school. She headed to her motorcycle to take a deep breath, to calm down a bit. She chained her helmet to her bike and then sat there on her heels, her hands on her motorcycle and closed her eyes.
"Positive thinking will help with the stuttering, talk slower and don't stress yourself." She whispered to herself and then sighed. Of course most people didn't really care that she stuttered but she still grew anxious every time her stuttering went from okay to worse. Her morning had been fine but now she wasn't so certain that the day would be good at all.

"I'm going to hang out in MR. O'Connor's room. It's on D hall, room 104. Just in case you want to hang out. Jack said as they got to the classroom Lynn needed. Jack hugged her and headed off to the classroom he was going to hang out in. Mr. Andrew O'Connor, was the history teacher Jack had at the end of the day.
"Good Morning, Shark. How's my favorite fisherman?" The teacher asked. "I'm good, just here to hang out. I'm going to skip the bash and assembly stuff today. I don't want to go to that stuff." JAck replied. Jack and Mr. O'Connor had a history. They competed in a lot of fishing tournaments together. Jack knew Andrew before he graduated high school and before becoming a teacher, but because he's a teacher now, he shows him the respect, but outside of school they are friends.
Breanna walked inside the class, but no teacher. However, she notice a red head sitting down near a window. She decided that this would be a great opportunity to make a new friend, or just an acquaintance. Thanks, Jack. It was amazing seeing you again.
Breanna began to nervously click her heel boots across the floor as she walked across the front of the class. Breanna just decided to put her nervousness aside and approach the girl.
Breanna said, clenching onto her papers, so they don't fall out of her hands, again.Uh, hey, my name's Breanna, I'm new here. Do you know where Mrs. Daniels is? This is her class, after all.
[center] Maggie gave out a few invitations on her way through the hallway. It was always quite quiet in the period running up to Halloween. Though the best thing about no classes was that Maggie could walk in and out of Classrooms at her own will. There would often be groups of people congregating in there.
As Maggies casually walked past small groups of people, her bright red hair tossing back and forth, she noticed something odd.
There was someone new in Mrs. Daniels class? Quite late into the year for someone to just drop on by. She seemed to be talking to Kalare Swan, someone who Maggie didn't really associate with because she always seemed to stare at people.
That being said Maggie was still going to invite her to the party because she was not that heartless.
Tossing her hair over to one side the power walked straight over to the new acquaintances. She carefully took two of the lilac envelopes from the top of the pile and a golden marker pen. On one she wrote Kalare.
' Hi. My name is Maggie Alexandre, you must be new here? What's your name so I can write it on your invite... You see October 31st is my Birthday and I hoole a huge party every year. I invite everyone so you have to come. It will be a great place for you to meet other.. uhm friendlier people'.
Her eyes shifted to Kalare as she handed an envelope to her.

Her eyes shifted to Kalare as she handed an envelope to her.
Kalare read through the rest of her schedule and nearly yelled out in frustration when she actually read the bottom. Apparently, there was some crap about community service and no school and a dance. And costumes, which would seriously be a waste of time because Kalare didn't do Halloween. Just as she was about to curse aloud, the blonde from earlier was standing up and was talking. She caught the tail end of what the girl was saying.
"Yeah, thanks," she replied to the blonde, the expression on her face masking the curiosity she held about the girl's stuttering. Was she nervous? Kalare was used to making people nervous or feel awkward, but no one had actually stuttered so much in her presence before. And why was she caring? Shrugging as the girl walked away, Kalare took her phone out her bag and dialed her aunt. The woman picked up on the second ring and listened to Kalare's explanation.
No surprise here, Kalare thought bitterly as her aunt explained that she couldn't pick her up. Something about shopping with Kalare's cousin Lacey and some other bull. It was nothing relevant to Kalare.
"Yeah, whatever." Kalare hung up without saying goodbye just as this brunette approached her from the corner of her eye. Just from one look, Kalare got the hint that this girl was more than she appeared. At first glance, despite the bulkiness of her clothing, the new girl seemed like one of those beach babes that Kalare avoided. But there was something in her eyes, something that had Kalare inwardly wary of her yet not too hostile. At least, not as hostile as she would be considering that she doesn't like meeting new people.
"Uh, hey, my name's Breanna, I'm new here. Do you know where Mrs. Daniels is? This is her class, after all."
"Library," Kalare answered. "Probably reading one of those Nicholas Sparks novels...again." Kalare cringed at the thought. "Check there." She stood, gathering her bag and phone before offering a tight-lipped smile. At least, she didn't feel as tense as before and could actually seem...sociable. Maybe. "And the name's Kalare." Kalare noticed Maggie eyeing them and squared her shoulders, quipping lowly to Breanna, "Watch out for Princess Maggie. Not exactly...first day friend material. Unless you're in to pounds of makeup with a side of bitch."
"' Hi. My name is Maggie Alexandre, you must be new here? What's your name so I can write it on your invite... You see October 31st is my Birthday and I hoole a huge party every year. Kalare found herself smirking as Maggie talked, her obvious dislike of Kalare apparent in her body language. But the girl was being pleasant enough when she handed Kalare a lilac envelope. Kalare eyed it suspiciously before painting a smile on her face.
"Thanks. I'll be sure to be...friendlier next time." She promised Maggie with a grin before nodding to Breanna. "Good luck." Kalare did not hesitate to walk away, hurrying out the door and down the hall. Perhaps she could waste time until someone from at home could give her a ride. The library sounded like a good stop.

Jack worked hard to keep his grades up and compete in his favorite sport. Many students were jealous of him because he made it seem so easy to do, but in reality, Jack was exhausted at the end of the night. Jack actually preferred to fish, and stay out of the house, especially lately, there was tension between his parents and he couldn't figure out why, and when he asked they told him it was nothing.
Breanna mentally punched herself in the face. What the hell, why would you say something creepy like that? Breanna looked behind herself when she seen Kalare look past her shoulders. Breanna snorted when Kalare insulted Maggie as she was approaching near. Breanna couldn't help but let out a small chuckle before she came forth. That's a nice name. It's... unique.
Breanna could just feel the tension between the two of them, after that "friendlier people" remark. My name's Breanna.
Breanna looked back at Kalare, giving her a 'please-be-there' look. She waved nodded to Kalare before she walked out the door. Breanna returned her attention to Maggie.Actually, there is already someone else I know here too, so getting to know more people will be great.
Breanna said, looking for a topic. So, how about showing me around?

Andrew looked up from his desk as he heard Jack ask a question to him. "I am not sure right now. My fiancée is talking about going to Illinois for thanksgiving. She wants to be with her family." Andrew answered. He then looked back down to his desk to grade papers. He had a good size stack of papers to grade, having just had his students turn in a three page essay, and had a test the previous week. Andrew wouldn't admit it, but he loved teaching his students.
Andrew was one of the younger teachers at the school. He was only 25, with blonde hair, and hazel eyes. He wore reading glasses which made him seem a bit younger. Andrew usually wore a polo shirt with a sweater, and dress pants. Andrew wasn't rich, but he was well off, having done the same thing that Jack did, saved every dollar from his tournament winnings. After a few minutes, Andrew remembered the package that came to his house that was for Jack, he stood up and took it over to the young student. "This came for you at my house." Andrew said placing it on the desk next to Jack.
Jack:
Jack listened carefully to Andrew. Once he was done with his tournament forms, Jack pulled out his school books and got a head start on the homework and projects that were due next week. Jack always made sure he had time to do school work, even if it meant doing it during another class, which the teachers didn't like, but they never complained because of his grades. Jack hated school, he rather be fishing, but because it was mandatory to go to school he went. He looked up when Andrew brought a package to him, looking confused. "What is it? And who's it from?" Jack asked confused.
Jack grabbed the package and opened it. Inside was a letter from Spiderwire, a big company in the fishing field. Inside was a brand new hat, shirt and a small amount of different supplies. His name was embroidered on both the hat and shirt, but with the right name, Shark. There was a letter with it, and as Jack read the letter he was shocked to see what it said.
Jack was tying to figure out why they came to him for a sponsorship. He didn't remember applying for sponsorship. Though he was confused on why they came to him, he was happy and shocked at the same time. This was truly a surprise to him. He looked up to Andrew, just to see the teacher grading papers again. Did Mr. O'Connor have something to do with this? was one of a the few questions that he had running through his head.
As it was still daytime outside, Angel remained holed up indoors to avoid the scorching sunlight. Rather than prowl the streets for evildoers, he sat in the dusty entrails of an elaborate, underground mausoleum poring over books on arcane knowledge that Spike had managed to procure for them. However, he doubted he would find the information that they needed.
Angel had been more than surprised to hear that the Hellmouth was back. Worse yet, that someone wanted it open. The vampire hoped that the rumors were false but he knew better than to rely on mere optimism. As he & Spike had made their trek towards San Diego, the closer that they came to their destination the more apparent the truth became. By the time they were in the city limits, it was undeniable. He could feel it inside of him, humming to the demonic being within...The Hellmouth had definitely been restored.
He had little uncertainty that someone was behind it. While he did not know how or why, he fully intended to find out & to do everything within his power to put a stop to it.
In spite of his fondness for solitude, it was times like these that Angel truly wished he had back more members of the old team. At the very least, someone to take care of research & bookwork while he hit the streets to interrogate creatures.
Unfortunately the group had dwindled down to just he & Spike now...& it wasn't the most enjoyable task, trying to convince Spike to pick up a book &, Heaven forbid, actually read it.
Course I will show you around. Your not doing a very good job by yourself talking to Kalare. I'll show you the right people to talk too!
She motioned for the girl to follow her. It was the perfect opportunity to hand some more invitations out as she went. She made her way to the cafeteria, most people congregated there when they had time off.
' So obviously this is where everyone eats! The food here is ok, if you know the lunch Ladies you can get just about anything. Though I try to stick with food from Home.... OMG cute shirt... where did you get it!!!'
Maggie instantly changed the conversation, she loved clothes with a bit of individuality. She put her hand out to touch the fabric, not really caring if it made Breanna feel uncomfortable.
Breanna didn't want to mention that her chest was larger than her older sister, making the shirt she was wearing tighter than it should be.To be honest, I don't even know. This is my sisters' shirt and we almost have the same size.
My sister is all for designer clothes, and I usually just "borrow" them... without permission.

"i didn't see you there Maggie.". Jack said when he realized that he an right into the queen of the school,Maggie. Jack was one of the few people in the shill that didn't care much offending Maggie. He didn't worship anything about Maggie and was pretty carefree when it came to her.
"Oh, hey Lynn. I see you met Maggie." jack said when he noticed Breanna was there as well.
After a while, when the metal of her bike had gone warm under her hands Cassandra stood up. Taking another deep breath she brushed off her knees and headed inside again. There were no use to get upset over things like that but her fingers itched to grab her phone and call her father. It usually happen when she talked to new people and she stuttered but she had so far never really called him. It was a silly habit she had since the first time he bought a cellphone to her and she had called him over and over again until she noticed how childish it was. The memory made her smile a bit.
She went first to the library to find search for a book she would need in her research for history class, of course she was a bit early for that but she liked to be prepared and she liked to have something to read while she had lunch. It made her feel less lonely and she didn't really need to talk much with others if she seemed busy. She didn't really find what she was looking for so she gave up and went to the cafeteria.
Cassandra noticed that the whole cafeteria was quiet and saw that a boy had apparently collided with Maggie, the school Queen. She winced a little and hoped that the gods had mercy on him because for that Maggie might make his life miserable for a long time. Or she might just yell at him and then leave it be. The whole silence treatment going on here felt more like punishment enough. She held tighten her hand on her backpack's strap and carefully walked pass them to an empty table.
