The golden bells tied to the door with a red velvet strip of fabric jingled as a tanned hand slid itself over the bar silver, pushing it open. Through the doorway a girl with a mid-thigh length black dress entered, matching gladiator sandals thumping the ground, and an aura of frustrated dependence seeping from her every pore. The dark glasses she wore hid her eyes and reflected back the gazes of at least half of the people there (nearly all of the men). Instead of waiting for service to a booth, she sat at a stool by the counter. "Morning, Chessie," she addressed the pale blonde girl that was counting the money from the register. "It's past three," was her reply "we aren't serving breakfast anymore." With a peek of her eyes over the top of the glasses, the mysterious woman said "Not even for me?" "Not even for you, Feliyn." The waitress disappeared into the kitchens, and Feliyn sat looking at her hands, folded over one another.

Feliyn DeBurg removed her glasses, and tucked one side into the v-neck of her dress, and drummed her fingers on the table. She supposed she would wait for the woman to make her way back, and once again attempt to get her breakfast. This was the first morning in four years that she hadn't come in at ten o'clock and ordered a bacon-and-lettuce sandwich. Shouldn't that have set off some sort of alarm? Gosh, is Feliyn dead? Did something happen to her? But nope, she was just another late customer.

Feliyn DeBurg gazed her big, sky blue eyes up at Akari. "You think I didn't hear him?" one of her eyebrows raised involuntarily. She rose to her feet, her whole five foot four of person seeming like a dwarf. She made her way over to the booth, gave Elijah a knowing smile, and said "In case you hadn't noticed, blondy is a brunette." She tugged a lock of her own hair, and rested her arms on the edge of the table. "What brings you two to town?"

Feliyn DeBurg hollered "Good luck! I scared Chessie back into the kitchens. You'll have to wait all day for her to edge her way into decent society again." Then, considering where she was, she turned back to Elijah. "Not to worry, love, I won't hold this against you. Feliyn DeBurg." She offered her hand.

"I had an uncle named Elijah. He passed away...oh...ten years ago, at least. Are you still a student, then, or what?" Without allowing him to answer, she continued with "Looks like your friend flew the coop. To be honest, you don't bother me one bit, but if I make you uncomfortable..." she trailed off, allowing him to fill in the blanks for himself.

Feliyn DeBurg guffawed. "Attractiveness is a drab quality. You can pick any attractive girl off the street. Uniqueness is something different, entirely. But you probably know that already. Her gaze trailed over the half of him she could see, his chest and arms, neck, head, hair, and rested on his eyes with a sort of inexplicable intimacy. "Have you heard about the murders?"

Feliyn DeBurg shrugged, and slid into the empty seat across from him. "I might. Or I might not. It all depends." she pulled a pack of cigarettes from her breast pocket, and lit one with a lighter she pulled from her bra. Gently pulling on her nicotine-infused death, she offered him a smoke.

Feliyn DeBurg deposited the no longer lit cigarette on the table by sticking out her bottom lip and speaking. "Depends what you mean by tricky, and if it involves clothing." A puff of smoke drifted lazily through the air above her head, and dissipated.

From her ever more fascinating bosom, Feliyn retrieved a pack of gum. She popped two pieces in her mouth before answering his question with another question. "How old do I look?" Undoubtedly, he would get it wrong, as everyone did; but that didn't stop her from being curious.

Feliyn DeBurg followed his gaze when it ventured to her cleavage. "I assure you, no matter how long you stare, the only things left in there will be what mother nature gave me." The rest of her stash she had laid out on the table, at perfect angles, along with the napkin holder and condiments. "Lucky for you, I'm not afraid to party hard, drink booze, and date--and lucky for the government, it's legal." She flashed her ID, taken from lord knows where, and arranged it along with the other items she'd set out. Feliyn DeBurg was twenty-one, as of the day before. Which explained her lateness. Watch out, world.

The corner of Feliyn's lip curled up in a little half-mocking smile. "Want to hook up? I'm sure you wouldn't mind my place. After all, the only way you can get alcohol here is by mail order. But I keep it in stock, two bottles of anything you could ever wish for. I call it my drunken cellar."

Feliyn DeBurg eyed what was left of his sandwich. "Are you done, then?" She was already starting to stand, muscles braced, anticipating her weight--but she hovered just above the seat, anticipating his answer.

"God, you're debonair." She grinned, and tucked her belongings back where she had kept them in the first place. In went the gum, the lighter, the cigarettes, and even a napkin. She walked over towards the door, pulling the stud-hemmed collar of her dress up just a bit. It was so low cut that you could almost make out the corner of her gum package peeking out over the top over her bra. "Gentlemen first?"

Feliyn DeBurg breezed on past him, but paused. "And how do you plan on getting there, with no car?" Her grin was larger than the moon, but he couldn't see; she was faced the other way.

"Boys, bikes, and booze, love, that's the life every girl dreams of." She disappeared around the side of the building, and a revving sound filled the still evening air. A gleaming black bike pulled around into the parking lot, Feliyn atop it. "I say we take a bit of a detour. Don't you?" She grinned at him, teeth sparkling white, and waited for him to get on behind her.

"They see me ridin', they hatin'," Faliyn muttered, revving the bike again just to annoy any passers by, and taking off into the street. She drove them around the building twice, and finally decided she'd ask him a question. "So, you and that girl, Akari, are you two involved? If so, I can see why she'd storm out. But not why she'd tell me you were eyeing me up." She nearly crashed them into the corner of a building as she slid the bike into a left turn, and continued to drive straight.

Feliyn DeBurg shrugged, as she slowed the bike and they came to a stop. "If I can get what I want, I don't care if it's called a relationship or a whorehouse." She reconsidered. "Sorry, what I meant to say was, when I fall in love, I fall hard. But I always make sure to put spikes on my shoes, so I can grip the ground more firmly. Fuck, that sounded cheesy."

Feliyn DeBurg circled around to the other side of the hotel building, realizing now that he Elijah probably hadn't seen it from the back before. "In we go, I suppose." She pushed open the door.

Feliyn DeBurg gave Eli's shoulder a shove, pushing him a bit less gently than she intended to into the wall. "Don't mess with me, love," she looked up at his face from her position below him, fingers still softly pinioning him against the wall. "Remember, I'm here because you asked." With a grin to let him know she was only joking, she began to pull the mess of brown streaked with gold and black that was her hair up into a bun.

Feliyn DeBurg enjoyed being pulled down the corridor as her eyes traced the muscles in his arms. "Don't get your hopes up too high, Elijah," she stopped walking, an action that would've caused him to stop as well, considering as he was dragging her along. "I'm much, much shorter than you are." About a foot separated their heads. She chortled.
