Naminè has always been on a stage of some kind, whether it be on the coffee table, or at a talent show, you know she's gonna be there. She grew up an only child, always getting lots of attention. Her family was classified as 'lower rich', so you can imagine how spoiled she was. Though, her parents made sure she didn't become a brat. Every now and then, they'd make her clean, even though they had maids, and when she wanted something, she had to earn it...Most of the time. Other than that, she was pretty much spoiled, going to a fancy private school for many years...Though, that didn't really matter, since she skipped it all the time to hang out with her four friends.
Naminè's parents didn't know at first, since she had always sneaked onto their emails with her laptop, deleting the complaints about her missing school so much, and 'editing' her report cards to all A's. All was good until a truancy officer came. Her parents were furious, but her Mother, being the nice, sweet, caring person she was, let Naminè off the hook...Her Father, on the other hand, slapped her so hard, you can still see the red mark today. Luckily, her parents soon divorced, leaving her with her Mother, who then allowed her to go to the same school as her friends. This was about when she was eight.
That's when she started to get a taste for music.
She immediately took a liking to rock music, and Gothic. Soon, they became her favorite types of music, soon the only ones she liked. The more she listened to it, the more she wanted to make it. Soon, her Mother started getting Naminè guitar lessons, and soon, she requested violin, and harp lessons. Her Mom, eager to see her daughter make anything but destruction, agreed. Soon, she was an expert at all of them...Yet no one knew about her greatest instrument.
Her voice.
Now, she was fourteen. Naminè had always been great at singing, but no one ever really knew. She didn't tell anyone, because she didn't see a reason too. Most of her friends, when she told them about all the instruments she could play, they rolled their eyes, and either said "Show off!" or "Yeah right." So, she didn't really want to add to that. The maids and butlers were the only ones who knew of her beautiful voice. But, one fateful day, she was singing, thinking she was home alone (Except for the maids, and butlers), along to a karaoke set. Her one friend, Francine, who cannot keep a secret had made a surprise visit, and could hear her outside. It was faint, but she could hear it. Amazed, she ran off and told the school about Naminè's voice. Soon, everyone was asking her to sing for them. Naminè. at first, refused...At the time, she wasn't very self-confident, and had stage fright.
But then she found herself being surrounded by a group of kids shouting "ATTEND IT!" Over and over again. She then knew she had no choice but to compete in her first talent show. For her act, she did a rock song, with her guitair, including her first 'scream' in public, which sounded a bit like this...
Soon, Naminè started to get used to being on a stage...And was soon singing everywhere, making her own songs, and lyrics, and melodies. She was a natural!
And somewhere along the line, she started dreaming of becoming a singer...And ever since, she has been looking to become one.

Nami couldn't stop smiling. She never could, especially when she was about to preform. Yup, she was about to sing one of her best songs in front of the crowd, of Maryway's Coffee. And by now, Alexis, Violet, James, and Avery should be arriving any second. They had all agreed to meet here earlier, and either way, it was one of their main hang out spots.
"Up next, we have...uh, Namini--Err, um, a young girl with a singing act!"
Nami rolled her eyes. Everyone always said that.
Walking out on to the stage, she took note of where everything was. The stage was pretty empty, except for a wooden stool, with her violet electric colored guitar was leaning up against. Not to mention, a microphone set up in front of the stool. The instruments didn't really match her attire as much as she planned it too, but oh well. She was wearing a light green, button down shirt, with a white tang-top under it, and a pair of gray jeans. Her hair was in a rather messy bun.
Smiling, she sat on the stool, adjusting the microphone to her height.
"Hello, I'm Nami, and I'm here to play a song for you."
She picked up the guitar, and started to play, soon sing a song.

Alexis walked into the coffee shop after she left work. It had been a long day writing stupid articles for young teens who wanted to be thinner, prettier, things that attacked the mentality of young teenagers. She hadn't had time to change from her workwear. She wanted to be able to see Nami's performance. Her heels clicked against the tiled floor as she found a seat up at the bar, nearest the stage. She gave a friendly wave to Nami, of course after her wave, she gave a friendly thumbs up. She always loved listening to Nami's music.
Looking up at the barista she'd nod her head and politely say, "I'll have my usual." Alexis's usual was a Chai latte with extra chai no water and skim milk.

The barista nodded and walked off to grab her latte. Alexis pulled out her phone and sent a mass text to Violet, James and Avery.

Guyzzzzzzzz! Hurry up! You're missing Nami's performance! Come soon or else I'll kick your asses! :) <3 XOXO Lexi

Giggling she'd take her coffee from the barista and start drinking it, her eyes glittering as she admired Nami's bravery and courage to get up on stage and share a song. If only Seventeen would let her write something about this, then maybe Alexis could enjoy her job.

The setting changes from maryways-coffee to Maryway

Image Avery was sat on the sofa in his living room, silently watching the television whilst his mother engaged in conversation from the other side of the living room with Mandie. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and sighed some, looking up at his mothers to see if they had any intention of breaking eye contact. It didn't look like it from his angle, and so he pulled his phone out briefly to check the text.

[From; Alexis]
[Guyzzzzzzzz! Hurry up! You're missing Nami's performance! Come soon or else I'll kick your asses! :) <3 XOXO Lexi]

Avery rolled his eyes upon reading the it but still his lips had managed to twitch upwards into his usual crooked half-smile. He did enjoy the occasional trip to the coffee shop, especially when Nami claimed to be performing. She had one hell of a voice when she put her mind to it and Avery kind of admired her for it.

[To; Alexis]
[Okay, okay... calm your tits woman. See you in 5, yh? x]

And with that, he set out for the coffee shop, actively ignoring his mother and her incoherent rambling about what they could save and possibly even earn by putting solar panels atop of their house. He didn't pay a blind bit of attention to it, really. They weren't poor but God knows where they'd get the money to pay for the bloody things. In all honesty, he guessed that his mother just liked to rant. He couldn't remember a time when she didn't have a cup of tea in her hand and hateful words of life spewing from her lips, and all the while Mandie listened patiently like she actually cared. It was almost sort of sweet how Mandie was so patient with his mother but still, she was the one who had effectively put an end to his parents marriage, at least in his eyes, and he had no intention of warming up to her any time soon.

When he arrived, Nami was already into her song. He smiled brightly and gave a little wave to Nami as he made his way over to Alexis' table and took a seat. "Hey," he said, letting the word linger on his tongue some in a stereotypical 'gay guy' way, despite not being camp in the slightest. It was then that a barista approached and he offered her a warm smile as a greeting. "Can I get anything for you?" she asked and he shook his head. "I'm good for now," he mumbled in response and watched her closely as she walked away, another smirk finding its place on his lips. He was snapped back to reality by the thought that he was sat with Alexis, and so he turned his attention to her at last. "So, how's life? Anything new?"
